you hear that? LaVar Arrington, t J. Housmanzanaxico Burst. It's
a show with three of the best to ever do
it on and off the field. And now here's pro
bowlers Lavarari, Te, t J. Houshmanzana and super Bowled Chiffy
(01:55):
and Plaxico bus. All right, welcome in the hour two
of the show. Happy new here to everyone. How are
you Bold Saturday? Yeah, Happy Bold Saturday to everyone as well. Uh,
you're listening to Up On Gang, t J. Hosteners out
of Plexico. First, I'm LaVar Arrington. We got a whole
lot to get to quarterback discussions. Has Aaron Rodgers who
(02:20):
led onto something that may be a decision he makes
in the future, I don't know, but we'll get to
some of that as well, or or some of these
quarterbacks on the move. Uh. In a moment and just
a few moments, there will be legendary added to it. UH.
And you guys will enjoy this one very very much,
a very special one indeed. But before we get to that,
(02:43):
it can happen easily. A few drinks become a few
too many. It's time to go, and you think, well,
I don't call for a ride home. Nah, what's the
worst thing that could happen. You could get pulled over,
You can lose your license, you could total your car,
you could kill someone, drive sober or get pulled over.
Paid for by Nitza. Uh, let's get to a legendary moment.
(03:04):
I think you guys enjoy this game presents conversations would
a leg and now this is your legendary moment. For me,
zero awareness, and that was That's probably one thing I
wouldn't say I regret it. I just wish I had
(03:25):
done it a little different. Um. I was late to
social media, very very late. The branding part of it.
I didn't care about any of it. All I cared
about was football. That's all I cared about. The branding
part of it. I tell them is the way sports
are today. Your body is your business. Conduct yourself the
(03:51):
right way at all times so that people want to
work with you the person, not just you the year.
Because the person is going to outlast the player, and
so we we go over that because I didn't do that.
I didn't have anybody telling me this. And I'll be honest,
(04:12):
I didn't give a damn about Brandon until you started
talking to me about Brandon. I didn't give a about
no damn Brandon. I'm who I am. But the more
you talk about the guys you work with in the branding,
it is important because football ends for all of us,
(04:32):
and you, the person can continue in life in the
business world because you developed stuff when you were the player. Um,
I've seen people. I mean, Chad is a perfect example
of branding himself. But but I don't think he reallytod no, No,
he was just doing it to have fun. And while
(04:57):
he was branding himself, but he didn't know he was
doing that. That wasn't purposely. It was just to have
fun and so and he might be of the last
thirty forty years outside of prime, the most popular player
in league history really, and I mean everybody knows who
(05:18):
he is in every walk of life that doesn't even
care about sports, because he branded himself the right way
and it was I believe by accident. If you knew
what you know now and you're right there with him,
would you have done anything differently? LaVar? And this is
this is the god honest truth. I've always been an
(05:40):
outgoing person. I've always been outspoken, and so me and
Chad went to college together, and people would tell you
I was a talker, not Chad. I was the talker.
But I felt like Chad experienced success in the league
before I did. Had I come out and done those things,
(06:05):
they would have said, I'm trying to mimic him. That
was our very own panteen man himself, t J. Hoshi Insada.
I mean, I thought that the conversation was phenomenal. I
thought that you were very candid, very very forthright with
with information. Make sure you guys go check out the
(06:28):
entire UH interview and conversation with TJ on up on
Game Presents Conversations with a legend. I mean, what what
what was your what's your takeaway from from that, Plexico
just listening to branding? Where you one that was into
branding um yourself back when you were playing, what was
(06:48):
your knowledge of it? Your understanding of it? I mean,
you know, looking at all situation, looking at my situation,
and you know, coming in two thousand talking about twenty
one years ago in the and the really at that time,
the only main source was branding was going out and
performing and playing well the outside of that, I mean,
(07:12):
you know, if you were, you know, into TV and
trying to get into acting and all of those things.
For us as kids getting drafted at twenty one, we
didn't really understand what branding was. We were the brand
and and you know, your your own CEO. And as
far as branding, you have to be healthy, you have
(07:36):
to be able to go out and perform. And I
think that's the only thing that we understood at that
time was to you know, follow a dream, chase a
dream and and be, you know, become whatever it was
you wanted to be as an NFL player. And you know,
here to hear t J talked about in the branding
(07:57):
of Chad and changing the O cho is if you
look closely, that is the model that most of these
kids are following now. And you know, Chad was doing
it and we was kind of looking at him like, yo,
like what the you know what I mean, you change
your name and you do all these things. But he
was there were a lot of people that did not
(08:21):
like how Chad knowingly or unknowingly was branding himself. I
mean he was that the media painted a picture as
if Chad was a nuisance, and what it was was pure,
unadulterated brilliance. I mean the way he branded himself was
as brilliant and as genius at work as as it gets.
(08:46):
I mean, Dion Sanders is is to me, he's the
all time goat of branding out and our sport. I mean,
obviously we could go to Michael Jordan's and say far
and away the money Chad, than mean, wow, must be money.
And you know what's interesting about Prime is that he
doesn't he doesn't go away from the core values and
(09:10):
the truth of what he built his brand on. A
lot of people did not like the way Dion Sanders was.
A lot of people much maligned Dion for not fitting
in the mold of what you're supposed to be um
as some would say, a well behaved UH player, a
player who puts the game first and not himself. And
(09:34):
you know this this whole narrative that you can't be
a dope teammate to somebody if you're bringing attention to yourself.
I think it's got to be one of the biggest
lies that has been convinced or driven into sports, society
and culture. There is nothing wrong with you having your
(09:55):
own identity and bringing that own identity to the te
able uh to contribute to the better whole and the
better good of what your team can be. In fact,
I think the more you are defined and what your
true self worth and identity is and you're comfortable and
confident in living in that, I would assume that your
(10:18):
performances are going to be better and and and so
to me, I think the most the most I guess
awesome thing about listening to what you had to say,
um and and in our discussion t J was the
fact that you know, understanding that that we can do
(10:39):
things and the power of what we bring to the
table to be able to define who we are is
is something that people should be very very aware of.
You said, your body is is your investment. That's your
that's your asset and your right within the game and
(10:59):
outside of the game. Your body is your asset what
you bring to the table. You don't have to worry
about finding somebody to invest your money. You know why,
because you are your investment. The return that you get
when you get that check that you talked about plex
making it to the National Football League, if I could
do it all over again, and I and I tell
(11:20):
this to my young guys all the time. Your your
stock is your performance, right, my stock is my performance.
I want to build the value of what I do
in terms of being able to get money from from
sponsors and and people feel comfortable with me representing their
(11:41):
product and speaking on behalf of their company. But ultimately,
if I'm looking for things to do as to how
I can brand what it is that I'm doing, I'm
branding myself as someone who understands that I am my
own stock. I am my own stock. And you know what,
I have amount of shares in my stock I have.
(12:02):
I have ownership in my stock, and if people are
going to invest in it, great. My brand is my brand.
But I'll never sacrifice it. I'll never I'll never diminish it.
I will always build it and grow it because ultimately,
every time I do something the right way, I can
I can look at my paycheck and no, I can
(12:24):
look at my paycheck and know that the investment in
me is yielding a return, a very high return. Even
if you are a league minimum dude. That is one
hell of a significant return on your body of work.
So I man, I appreciated the conversation t J. Um.
(12:45):
You know, I'm hoping that our next conversation will be
with the other dude, the knucklehead that's on on this
show right now as well, So we'll we'll get some
gems from him um here soon. So yeah, yeah, yeah,
that that guy right there on the super Bowl chat. Uh, hey, listen,
we we got to get to some quarterback talk. We
(13:07):
gotta get to up on game down on game as well.
You're listening to LaVar Arrington. That's me um, the guy
with with little calves. You know. Uh, what's is interesting
because Dion Sanders got little legs too, So I think
I'm a great company. Dion used to wear like twenty socks.
(13:29):
That was my teammate and DC he had he had
socks that was made made it look like his legs
was three times bigger than what they were. Shouts out
to coach Prime and all the stuff he's doing. Uh,
that's t J. Hushman's out of asplex. Co birds Man.

we're able to do more. We got a lot of
great things developing and coming forward, so uh, make sure
you stay tuned to all of the developments that we
have going on. All right, let's jump back into the show.
Fellas we talked about it, I teased it. Now we
are here to it. The quarterback situation. You got Russell Wilson.
(17:10):
We'll get to his quotes in a moment. You've got
Aaron Rodgers. We got other quarterbacks. I mentioned Deshaun Watson earlier.
Uh that could be on the move or will be
on the move assumed to be presumed to be on
the move after this season. We talked about Ben Roethlisberger,
this probably being his last game in Pittsburgh. But let's
(17:32):
start with Aaron Rodgers. We got some sound on Aaron,
and I got an interesting take on it. I'm curious
to hear y'all. Here's Aaron Rodgers with what he had
to say on well about him and moving forward in
the future. I wouldn't rule that out, you know. I
think that I'm just enjoying this season for this season,
and I think there's claim next year is will definitely
(17:53):
be in the thought process. This year is stop me
anything and said, you know, I still can't play. I
still do love competing and I love being out there.
All right, So he was asked about retirement and that
was his response. I'm I'm gonna say this and then
I'm gonna turn it over to you guys, and then
we'll get to Russell Wilson's quotes as well. But I
feel like this is still Aaron Rodgers manipulating and dictating
(18:18):
how he wants things to go and how they ultimately
will go if he is to remain a Green Bay
Packer for next season. Now what that is as the
end result, the effect is that the removal of somebody
in the front office. Is that is that him getting
more money is that, you know, I don't know what
(18:41):
it is, but whatever it is that Aaron Rodgers is wanting,
I'm assuming that it's going to have to happen if
he's going to be back next year. And I think
the way he's playing, And then Davonte Adams coming out
and saying what he had to say is like, look,
of course it's going to play a part, and if
I want to come back or not, Uh, he's the
(19:03):
best in the game. And and then Aaron Rodgers doubling
down on that and saying he's probably the best receiver
he's played with, the best player he's played with. It
just seems like that's a serious love affair. You do
not want to lose that if you're green Bay and
I and I would venture to say, against any circumstances,
I would not want to lose that. How are you guys,
(19:25):
uh viewing what Aaron Rodgers quotes were and what what
he may or may not be thinking. I mean, for me,
it was known when when he reported back to Green Bay,
or when he decided to report that he was going
to have the option to decide what he wanted to do.
Green Bay took a year office contract. It's only under
(19:47):
contract for one more year. I truly believe it's gonna
come down to whether or not they could resign Davanta Adams.
I really do. And if they do, Aaron Rodgers gonna say, Okay,
now I want a three year, hundred fifty million dollar contract,
two million and year Hunter guaranteed, he's gonna want that extension.
He's gonna want some type of commitment. So if they
can commit to him financially, I believe he'll stay in
(20:10):
Green Bay. He's gonna win back to back m vps,
a push for a super Bowl, which I believe he
needs for his legacy to have two super Bowls on
his ledger. But going somewhere else, wherever he goes the team,
that team is gonna do well, and he can get
the Denver with that defense in the offensive skilled players
that that Denver will be a contender next year. If
(20:32):
it doesn't matter. He's that good, he's that good of
a player with weapons though they have weapons on outside
and they have a great defense. And so I believe
it will hand on what happens with Davante Adams, and
if he stays, then they better be ready to give
Aaron Rodgers an extension and it's a waste of draft
pick on Jordan's Love. Mm hmmm, uh um. I know
(20:57):
I said a few months a yolda other than think
Rogers was going anywhere. But I know I thought that
I said that he will be leaving. But you know,
looking all the looking at all the circumstances going on
right now, but between him, the organization and DeVante Adams,
I don't think and Rodgers is going anywhere. I really
don't because over the next four or five years, I
don't say I don't know. I don't think that Jordan's
(21:20):
Love was a better quarterback than and Rodgers over the
next four or five years. And as far as and
Rodgers leaving, I don't believe that he can go to
another team right now and he will be on a
better football team that he that he has in Green Bay,
I don't think so. If you if you put him
in Denver, there was not a better, better overall football
(21:42):
team and in the Green Bay package right now. And
as far as the uh DeVante Adams is concerned, Uh,
those guys are together without each other, then who are there?
We know and Rodgers is really good, but from a
wide receiver standpoint, Davante Adams is the best wide receiving
(22:03):
football with and Rogers. Now you take him away from
that and you put him in a situation to where
he's in New Orleans or or Jackson or wherever he
might go. He I don't think that he's the best
wife receiving football without Ran Rogers. And if you're the
Green Bay Packers, you're gonna do everything in your power
(22:26):
to keep him on his roster and keep him in
and Rodgers together. It's one of those marriages that this
doesn't come around too often. To have the best quarterback
in football and he's playing his best football right now
and the best wide receiver. You want to do everything
in your power to keep those guys together. I don't
(22:46):
think it's gonna what I don't think it's gonna come
down to a money thing at all as far as
Davante Adams is concerns, because whatever he gets, he deserves. Now.
I don't think that are the Packers gonna make him
the highest paid receiver and for about what she should be. Absolutely,
I think once Devonte Adam, trust me, him and Rogers
were going to talk about this, they are gonna sit
(23:08):
down and have a man and man conversation about playing
together and building a legacy. And DeVante Aldam said, listen,
I'm gonna stay if you're gonna stay. And it's one
of those things that you know, behind the scenes, this
conversation is gonna happen because, trust me, he doesn't want
to leave. He doesn't want to play with another quarterback.
(23:29):
You know. It's one of those It's one of those
conversations that I wish that are men Ben would have
had back in two thousand and four. I didn't know
I was young, but looking at this situation, I think
those guys are gonna be together for a long time.
All right, let's transition to Russell Wilson. It's this's the
same thing that plays out. You mentioned the New York
(23:50):
Giants to the New York market. It seems as though
Russ would love to be able to uh to get
there to that uh that that type of a market.
When you look at Russ, do do you see like
he came out in his quote the other day, he
wasn't even asked. He took a quote from Bobby Wagner
(24:10):
that they asked him and basically Crowball and to the
his interview that I would love to be back here
next year. But with that being said, you know this
ain't gonna be my last time plan in the NFL.
I think he put everybody on notice. Is he trying
to leverage Seattle to to do something some have speculated
maybe get rid of Pete Carroll? Um? But is this
(24:34):
ultimately him trying to get to a different market? And
Russell Wilson wants out. Man, it's exactly what you said.
It was a question about Bobby Wagner and he flipped
it to about himself. I don't know if this is
gonna be my last game here. I guarantee everybody was
sitting there like, we didn't even ask you this, but okay,
(24:56):
we'll take it. He doesn't want to be there anymore.
He realizes it's a rebuild and it's a long rebuild
and he doesn't want to take that time. And not
only that, just look at the Seahawks draft picks. They
don't hit on picks, They miss on a ton of them.
So it's no guarantee that we can rebuild through the
(25:17):
draft because our draft picks haven't hit anyway. And so
where do you go? Do you? Pete Carroll doesn't want
to rebuild. He's in his seventies. Russell Wilson doesn't want
to rebuild because he's in your tenn e leven and
so he wants to go to a team that he
can have success with now he doesn't feel it's the Seahawks,
(25:38):
and so he threw that out there. Let's see if
something happens, because he can bet on any trades, so
if he doesn't like what they're sending them, he out
of there. M I'll comment on the Bobby Wagon the question.
One of the best defensive players in all the football
I think he has a hundred tackles in like ten
straight season. But what but getting back to the whole
Russell Wilson thing right now, and I've experienced it, I'm
(26:01):
sure you guys have. For as far as Russell Wilson
is concerned, it has nothing to do with the market.
It doesn't matter where he goes where. He's getting older
and he's not as good as he used to be.
And and when you get to that point as an athlete,
(26:21):
as a performer, as a you know, as a football player,
you know and you feel when you are not as
good as you used to because father time is taking place,
and it's frustrating because your mind tells you do something,
go right here right now, and you're like to get ready,
(26:42):
you know what I mean. It has something to do
with market. He's getting older, and I don't think you know, uh,
better football is in front of him right now. He's
going to be a consistent you know, he's going to
be a performer. He's not going to be that elite
quarter back that he was six or seven years ago.
(27:02):
Those years have passed him. As far as him leaving
Seattle and coming to the New York Giants, that or
whoever that may be, he's just a temporary patch. He's
not gonna be there for the next five or six
years and will your franchise to a to A to
a world championship. He's a temporary piece. So as far
(27:24):
as where he goes, that has nothing to do with
him going to the mayor welcoming him and seatra to
New Orleans or you know, going to New York better market.
The market doesn't help you play better. And as far
as coming over here to the JOm market to what
does he coming to? We don't have nothing to build
(27:44):
him right now. We need the Johnson to start with
officers a line first. So I don't know where he's
going to go, but as far as him being that
elite quarterback that would that we have been used to
seeing over the last eight or n yeah, those days
behind him. Be honest with yourself, look yourself, and then
I say, listen, I'm not as good as I used
to be. It doesn't matter where I go. Hey, y'all
(28:07):
know who is still good and at his peak and
his prime on being able to deliver my man, Ralph Irman,
what you got on trend and my guy delivery? Show
him how you do it, show him how the all
star to do it. We'll just think about an hour ago.
We we threw it back to some highlights of a
few Bowl games. Yeah, so let's go to the present day. First,
we start at the Outback Bowl. Lamber Smith wide open
(28:31):
touchdown back stay right, labor Smith was wide open behind
the play at Sean Clifford Knox at home and the
Letney Lions are an extra point away from the tie.
That's why you talk about big plays. That's Steve Jones
from lear Field. They got the extra point. They added
another field goal. Ten seven Nitney Lions over number twenty
(28:54):
one Arkansas one minute to play in the first half
of that contest. Next, we talked about out the Florida
Citrus Bowl. Rodriguez to the left of let us from
the shotgun, he drops to throw looking here side swing pass.
Rodriguez makes the catch, touchdown Kentucky down the near sideline.
Rodriguez got hit at the one, but bounce off the
(29:16):
head from Riley Moss to score. That's the UK Sports
Network with the call. Kentucky, number twenty two in the
country leads number fifteen Iowa seven nothing to nineteen to
play in the first quarter of that contest. Yes, yes,
that's what we're here. And then we did finish it
off with the Fiesta ball going on the left hash
when the shotgun drops back, stand into the pocket, fires
(29:37):
up the middle right open such stand Notre Dame Lorenzo
styles in between the houses cut the ball at the
Koreine's twenty nine yard touchdown from Cone to Sniles Notre
Dame Radio Network at the Fiesta boll Number five Notre
Dame of seven nothing lead over number nine Oklahoma State
seven twelve to play in the first quarter. There in
(30:01):
ten to play in the second half. Number seventeen, Texas
nine over West Virginia ended college hoops as we sent
it back to the fellas it is up on alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright.
(30:28):
I like it. I like it. And I know the
cool thing about knowing the game and knowing about the
game when you hear names pop up like Lorenzo Styles Jr.
If you know anything about football, you know that Lorenzo
Styles Senior was a gangsta on the football field, bro,
And I've known him. He's from Farrell Farrell p a
(30:49):
um and played for for Farrell the I want to say,
what what what was Farrell uh Pirates or something like that,
um Man, I forget what they're they're they're uh their
their mascot was. But anyway, he played for Ohio State.
He was a linebacker, if you guys recalling. He played
linebacker for Ohio State. And I thought that was, you know,
(31:11):
pretty interesting to hear that Lorenzo Stoles Jr. The name
pop up and his son is doing well, I know there,
Dame shouts out to the Stouts family. Uh al right, guys, uh,
you know, let's go back to to to something that
we normally do. Something that I generally dominate and win
every single time. We we pop the mic and talk
about this and my amazingness of being a black nostro
(31:34):
domus of everything. Um, let's get to up on game
or down on game. Let's go for some bis up
on game, Let's break this up, let's back up. All right,
what we got this week? Let's do it? Okay, So
(31:57):
LaVar is speaking of being great. Uh, last time you
guys did this segment, you did go to and one
on your picks. Of course, Teach you went one and
two on your picks. Of course he did. And Plexico
you went to in one on your picks. There you go.
LaVar was the only one to win H one prop
(32:17):
bed of the over on cup. Yeah yeah, but so
so what you're saying is is I am the one
that dominates these picks. So I love, I swear it's
got to be some point shaving. I'm not. I must
keeping up what you score, you keep scoring going, I'm
gonna start keeping up. Write it down, right, I gotta
(32:38):
I gotta keep up. Plex There's no way. There's no way, bro,
It's no way. But go ahead, go ahead, I'm over forward. Yeah,
we get let's get to our let's get to our
picks so I can win again. Let's let's go ahead. Okay,
we're gonna start in college. The annual Rose Bowl is today,
Utah vers Ohio State, and Ohio State is favored by
(33:03):
minus four and the over and under is sixty four total.
M I'll started off. Ohio State is going to win
in Ohio State is going to cover that four point
uh spread? What about the over under? Mr Arrington, come on,
man sixty Yeah, I'm gonna take I'm gonna take the
(33:31):
I'm gonna take the under man. I'm gonna start going
first because I don't even like a grant with him. Now,
I'm going Ohio State and under. Uh huh. Then you
go first. Next I'm going on. I'm taking Ohio State.
No Ova. I ain't going with them. God, there you go.
Well I just went every week. That's all this guy. Okay,
(33:51):
we're moving to the NFL. The Chiefs are at the
Bengals and they are four and a half point favorite
on the road, and then games over under is fifty
and a half points. I'm taking the Bengals in over
and not only that, we're beating them. We're not just
gonna cover, We're beating them. I'm taking the Bengals in over,
no question. Okay. Well, I came out and said a
(34:14):
couple of weeks ago, I said that the eventual Super
Bowl cheving has already lost their last football Take the
Chiefs and I'm going to take the oval on the point. Okay,
and uh so, now we gotta prop hold on. No, no, no,
let let let we gotta let the loser. Let me
get my pick, so I can't win. I'm taking what
(34:35):
what what was it? The spread? The spread Chiefs at
Bengals four and a half. I'm gonna take the Chiefs
and I'm gonna take them. I'm gonna take the points
on that so that they won't they will not cover that.
By the way, it won't be they won't win about
more than four. So that means you're taking the Bengals.
To me, you're taking the Bengals. Man, who's their favorite?
(34:56):
The Chiefs are favorite, The Chiefs a favorite, right right right?
Four right four point? You said they won't cover, so
that as you won't cover that when you're taking the Bengals. No,
I'm not taking well, yeah, I'm taking the Bengals. In
terms of not. You know they're not covering. Yeah, but
I'm taking the Chiefs to win. You confused me anyway,
So what I'm saying is that is gonna win by three. Yes,
(35:18):
the Chiefs are gonna win by less than four points.
So you're taking the Bengals or whatever. Okay, if that's not,
I just win. I mean, I mean you'll want to
create terminology. Yes, that's what it is. And then I'm
taking what's what's the total? One and a half, fifty
and a half. Yeah, I'm taking the under on that. Good.
There we go. Okay, guys, this next one to proper.
(35:40):
Bet tyreek Hill receiving yards in that very game over
under seventy four and a half yards and last week
he just had nineteen yards. I'm taking the old on
the seventy four and a half. I'm taking the over
on the seventy four yards on because they both went over,
I'm going under. I should have gone first. I don't
(36:03):
want to agree with him approach. Okay, guys. The next game,
we're sticking in the NFL Cardinals at Cowboys. The Cowboys
are favored by six points and the over or under
in this game is fifty one. I'm taking the Cowboys
and over. Oh my goodness, I'm taking the Cowboys and
(36:26):
I'm taking the under on the points. No no cala Murray, Well,
I'm taking I'm taking the Cowboys and I'm taking over.
This guy here, well, I mean I am I forgot
he he has his his uh his his favorite player
(36:46):
on the Cowboys. Favorite player, favorite player. Alright, makes sense,
it makes sense. Here's a lot of people's favorite player.
Shouts out to the ventual defensive player of the year,
defensive rookie of the year. Best it's Lawrence Taylor, Michael Parsons. Okay,
here we go, let's keep going. Okay, the last one
we're sticking in with the Cardinals and Cowboys game. Uh,
(37:08):
Kyler Murray his passing yards for this game over or
under two hundred and fifty yards under two, I'm gonna
say they're gonna be losing. He's gonna get a lot
of meaningless stats. I'll say over. Yeah, I'm taking the
(37:29):
under on that one. Good good. I mean, all I
do is win, win, win, no matter what what else
we got winning, that's it. All right. Well, that's perfect timing,
and I appreciate you leading the way there, my friend.
Uh this is up on Game. That's t J. I
(37:52):
can't pick them, uh, but my hair looks good. I'm
gonna say I have something to say just so they
now up on Game. Brought to you by one of

Happy New Year to year. Um, it's a lot going
on today. We've got a lot of well just forget
about me. And I didn't know if you guys were
in that you know together, I apologize. I was very
(41:36):
very happy New Year guys. Everyone. I have some resolutions,
some New Year's resolutions for a couple of sports individuals
in leagues, and it's probably gonna be a big Ben's
last home game. So what are the Steelers going to
do next year at the quarterback position? There? Okay, all right,
(41:58):
that's that. Y'm gonna go down tomorrow. I gotta I
gotta watch my brother, you know, play his last football game.
I'll be in the building. Alright. Yeah it could be. Um,
it could be some bleak days ahead for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
If they're not aggressive, they'd better get a veteran. There's
gonna be some long years ahead for the Steelers. Is
(42:20):
there no one that you guys like in the draft?
I love my Corral, I love the kid in Pittsburgh.
I like pick It played in my eighth grade All
Star game. I'm kind of with you, t J. I
think they have to get a veteran. But the problem is,
I don't really know who is going to be on
the market that makes sense. Like maybe maybe a Jimmy Garoppolo.
(42:42):
I don't like his availability, But you need a bridge
quarterback that can keep you competent because that division is
not the same as it used to be. You know
it was it was dominated by the Steelers and Ravens
for a long time. Joe Burrows, that dude, the aunts,
don't you know we don't know what they're gonna do
with Baker, but they have a great roster, so you
(43:05):
can't just mail it in. You can't just rely on
some talent that you really have to be consistent there,
especially at that position. I just I feel like the
Steelers missed a really interesting opportunity. You know, sometimes in crisis,
you have opportunity. When they lost Ben Roethlisberger a few
years ago with his elbow injury, you got to see
what Mason Rudolph and Duck Hodges were and they weren't it.
(43:26):
And I feel like it was pretty obvious that Ben
was coming to the end of his career and they
were just kind of staggnant at at the position. So
I hope that they don't feel feel that way with
what they have in the house now, But we'll see.
It's it's tough and franchise to move on, especially when
you have franchise quarterback and for nearly twenty years, so
(43:47):
especially when you're a division though you got Lamar j Acton,
you've got Joe Burrow, and you have the talent that
Cleveland has. They have to get this writer. They can
go on a dive to where it's not easy to
overcome it. I enjoyed the special that you and Colin did.
By the way, thank you guys do an excellent job.
I think you guys have like really really changed the
