Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listening to Fox Sports Radio. All right, yeah, San
Francisco forty Niners jammies? Uh? I like your jammies? Are
they Garoppolo Footsie jammies? Are? Oh? Wait? Is that Tree
Lance front Runner? Hey? An action pack day? You're sticking
around the whole show? Are you leaving? Put? You can

(00:21):
pull on eight B halfway through the game. Well, I'll
definitely not take my shirt off. I'll tell you that
not after the holidays. No, no, no, I don't want
to see no. One wants to Nobody wants to see that. Nobody, nobody.
What a day? Huh? Action packed? And we get to
talk about it while watching football. It's Cavino and Rich
on Fox Sports Radio, Fox Football Sunday Funday eight seven,

(00:44):
seven ninety nine on Fox, and we you rocking out.
Let's go happy New Year? Are you fired up? Rich? Or? What?
Am I fired up? Are you fired up? And fired down?
I'm fired up? You know I'm I was talking to
Ralph Irvan before we went on. Is on the update
today and not only does he have some hot takes,

(01:05):
he's got a sweet coupoline on. You know what the
goopoline is? Right? I do? But I don't know if
everyone else knows your term for it's an old paper
boy hat. Yeah, I coupoline like a cholo. No, the
goopoline is the paper boy hat. Um, anybody called a goopoline,
but you and guys from Jersey, growing up in New Jersey,
it's just a word for hat, an Italian word for hat,
I believe, but we call those specific hats. Like you said,

(01:28):
spot the paper boy hats the goopolin. He's rocking it
and he's got some interesting takes on how Bruce arians
sort of dropped a ball today and how he handled
the whole a b scenario. Well, that's, unfortunately rich the
biggest story we're gonna get into that. We're gonna get
into Joe. But as you said, uh, he's got b D.

(01:52):
Guy's got the energy. He's got that that swag about him,
the b D E that the Pete Davidson sort of thing,
you know what I mean, He's got that that vibe
about him. He's the quarterback of the future. He's got
nine and seventy one yards in the past two weeks.
This guy's showing everybody what's up right now. Does he
wear a silver suit because he's from the future like

(02:12):
all silver. Yes, he is the quarterback. I'm telling you
he is silver one piece suits. Yes. I mean they
talked about it today at nauseum, like, hey, this Cincinnati
Bengals team. Conny Romo was great on the call today
with Jim Nance. That game was I guess their top
game clearly, And they're saying like this team sort of

(02:35):
looks like Kansas City when Kansas City first started to connect,
all these young players coming into their own Cincinnati in
Kansas City. You know, sometimes you just gotta tip your hat,
you know, you know, tip to gooplein right, Ralph. You
know Joe Barrow, he's been on fire the past few weeks,
so you know, it's a big win for them. Was
a great game, but you know, I'm still confident that

(02:56):
will be in the playoffs. That's actual, actual, uh, actual
feedback from Patrick Mahomes. Yeah, I mean they're out of
the one seed, which I think is the disappointing point
for Patrick Mahomes. But hey, let's get into it. Things
that made you go eight se alright on the ones

(03:20):
and twos, Danny g is Here, Ralph, Irvin Covino, Rich
and Spot Fox Football Sunday Funday officially begins. Let the
wild rump is start. Let's get to the phones. You
already mentioned it. Two big stories rich A b and
Joe Burrow beating the chiefs. I mean that's that's how
the storylines. I mean, no, there's huge storylines and those

(03:40):
are some of the biggest takeaways here of the day. Um.
I also want to talk about your guy, Trey Lance.
So what made you go, well, believe it or not.
I'm not going to start with my forty nine. I'm
gonna start with filing the playoff machine. I'm looking at
the simulator where you click each game. You should rename

(04:01):
that the George Michael playoff Machine. You love that? You
love that guy? Who didn't love that guy growing up?
He pressed the big oversized buttons, the reel to reels
would kick in. You see all the highlights. I used
to love that dude, George Michael. Yeah, yeah, we'll tell
us about the playoff machine. Now they have, you know
those playoffs simulators where you just click who's gonna win?

(04:22):
This is where my head spins because it's like putting
together a puzzle, and I Steve Cavino, I don't like puzzles. Puzzles.
No people, Some people wanted to buy the in laws
the quoe unquote. In laws wanted to buy me a
puzzle for Christmas. I said, did you do a donut
puzzle during the quarantine with your girlfriends? I was one
and done. I don't do that. He ate a donut
in celebration. Yes, Spot, Then where are we gonna open

(04:43):
a bar once and name it puzzles? And that was
the actual puzzle how I met your mother. So I'm
looking at the playoffs simulator. The simulator if I have thousand,
and I want to play a little game with everyone
in the room. Danny J. Feel free to chime in
row Spot puzzles games. So why don't you just tell
this skill to Chiman. The number one seed in the

(05:06):
a f C as of right now is the Tennessee Titans.
I'm gonna name a f C teams and you tell
me if you would bet on the Titans to beat them.
Because my hot take, which isn't even that hot in fact, lukewarm,
it's a mild take. I think every other team in
the a f C I think could beat the Tennessee Titans. Meanwhile, somehow,

(05:28):
some way, luck will have it that they are the
number one seed right now at eleven and five because
of Kansas City is lost. But if the playoffs started tomorrow,
which there soon a couple of weeks, if you told
me Kansas City Tennessee, does anyone say in Tennessee. No,
right development, You're taken Tennessee over over the Chief Stan.

(05:54):
What is the latest with Derrick Henry's health. I'm I'm
seeing nothing to the playoffs. Do they have to go
to get them back? Yeah? Rich and I were talking
about that before we because that's their only shot against Casey.
So let's assume no. Derrick Henry, Yeah, as far as
I know right now, he's not around Kansas City. I'm
taking them over Tennessee. And I feel like Tennessee fans
are gonna say, I'm so disrespectful. Yeah, but they've changed

(06:16):
their game up. Look how prominent A. J. Brown has become,
you know, without Henry there to rely on. I know.
But so they're playing okay Kansas and they're healthy, they're good.
And if I told you tomorrow, bet your life savings.
But I agree with you. I do agree with You're
taking Patrick Mahomes, Yeah, Cincinnati versus Tennessee. You're taking Cincinnati, right,
I mean, I mean, especially after the past few weeks. Yeah,

(06:39):
you're taking Buffalo. You're taking Josh Allen over Tennessee. No, no,
I'm not taking I'm not taking anybody but maybe Kansas
City over him. You're talking about you, you mentioned earlier
Cincinnati is looking like a young Wait is that Clay
Travis over there? Hardly You're you're saying that Cincinnati looks

(07:02):
like a young Kansas City. I'm sorry, I see the
exact resemblance of the Patriots, because Mike Rabel is bringing
the exact same thing of how's this team beating people?
But we do that? That's the mean And and if
you recall think about you may remember this from a
couple of years ago, the shenanigans that Rabel did with

(07:25):
the with using penalties to milk the clock and everything
the guy can coach in the playoffs. Oh yeah, he's
cut from that Belichick you know he was. He saw
a lot of them on the Man in the Arena
documentary about Tom Brady. Rabel is cut from a winning cloth.
And the fact is they shut down Josh Allen and
Buffalo a few weeks ago. They did. I just feel

(07:46):
like in a playoff spot as of right now. Kansas City, Cincinnati, Buffalo,
the Chargers, the Cults. These of teams that I feel
like I bet I bet on them aren't going to
even be in the post. Oh you like the Raiders
next week? You shouldn't. I Danny g likes that that.
I mean, the Chargers barely beat the Raiders in a

(08:07):
weird game. It's so far. Remember there was the lightning delay,
and they've been up and down and they don't look
great on the road. That was also the weird game
where Waller spiked the ball on the sideline just because
he was excited about that big play, which gave the
momentum back to the Raiders that they called taunting, and
he didn't throw the ball anywhere near any Charger. Everybody

(08:29):
was so confused by that, and the momentum went right
back to the Charger. That was a weird back and forth,
lightning delayed game. Ralph, Ralph does make you think, though,
right although I'm on your side with this, Rich because
I do think most of them teams could compete. Most
of them, the teams, most of them teams, most of them,
I didn't know most of them teams. I didn't know

(08:49):
you were grading me on my grammar today. I'm sorry, sorry,
I'm sorry. I was having too much fun those uh
you know, most of those teams, most of them teams
that could win. I just feel like you're not excited
about the time. Maybe that's exciting. You know, they're her
their best players not there. I can hear it. Maybe,
and unless you're a fan, you really just don't believe

(09:12):
in him that much. Maybe I'm bored by Tennessee and
I but you know what it does. I was agreeing
with you, but now forget you. You know what, um
Ralph brings up a good point, But I but I
still feel I still feel that every single one of
those teams I'm taking over Tennessee. However, what it does
do it points out the amazing word of the year parody,

(09:34):
the amazing parody in the a f C where your
number one seed? What other what other time in NFL
history in the last ten of twenty years. Can you
argue that you're one seed and you're six and seven
seed are not that far off in talent? I mean,
I feel like we do say that. We don't say

(09:55):
that every year. I understand it's a super tight playoff
race here, come on, you know, as tight as your
your your sweatpants after the holidays. But you do say
it every year. We say it every year. The parody
in the league is what makes the NFL great. Usually
talking about the parody in the NFL in regards to
how a team could be garbage and within a couple

(10:18):
of years of rebuilding, it's done right where that team competes,
Sacramento leads Miami one, one eleven, less than a minutes
to play. Oh thank you, Ralph. So things that make
you go eight seven seven on Fox? The playoff picture,
like I said, it becomes a puzzle, makes my head spin.

(10:39):
Rich has a generator a simulator to break it down.
What were your takeaways today as we get ready for
the game tonight, I'll give you one takeaway. I am
so dumb. You can stop there. Yeah, yeah we know that, Yeah,
you can stop there. We know that. That's good. And
I did one of those three team ten point teasers.

(11:02):
You ever do what you ever? People that are gamblers
now that where you get to play with ten points
for three different games. And I had Jacksonville getting twenty
four and I'm like, this is a fantastic bet. How
could you? I'm getting twenty four points and I then
I then I forgot. I'm like, oh that's right, Bill
Belichick versus rookie quarterbacks. Yeah, why did I do that?

(11:27):
But yeah, New England? That that made me go And
I was like, why I do that? Why to make
that stupid bet? You know what? And if you follow
social media and everyone's stupid Facebook opinions. You know, the
Patriots scored fifty points today and me the Jaguars look bad.
People are saying, is Lawrence not the guy? Is he
a bust? That's sort of five. It's way too soon,

(11:49):
But that's again a sign of the culture, right, grand opening,
grand clothes in if you don't perform in your first year. Nowadays,
most people don't have the patience. That's sort of the
underground buzz that I'm noticing online. But there's there's games
that we gotta definitely dive into today on Cavino and Rich, Raiders, Cults, Chiefs, Bengals. Oh,

(12:11):
so many takeaways. But we'll take your feedback, your phone calls.
But uh, you know, as I'm you know, insulting Titan
fans everywhere. They put up a thirty four three victory
over the Dolphins, who had won seven in a row,
and that dream came to an end today. But hey,
Dolphins fans, it was fun, right, that was a fun ride.
You were one in seven and you win seven in

(12:32):
a row. Hey, Miami Dolphins, there you go, Miamie. You
had a nice run, right thin one in seven something
out They made something out of nothing and uh, Tennessee
eliminates them officially from the playoffs. All right, and we're
gonna take all your calls in just a few seconds
right here on Fox Sports Radio. But I just gotta

(12:54):
remind you we're brought to you by one of our
favorite cities, last veg Guess don't you miss Vegas? I do?
I do? I do. I can't wait to get back.
What are you gonna go? Sit on top of the
uh what's the what's the what's the pyramid? One with
Chris Angel. I've met to Vegas in two years, that's

(13:15):
how out of practice. So we need to go back

What's going on? Buddy O Living good Man, Nice to

(14:43):
things that make you go. Your takeaways a week seventeen
Riches Trying to figure out what's going on in week
eighteen schedule. I'm gonna break this down with with Danny
G again, Ralph the big stories. The Bengals beat the Chiefs. Wow,
Joe Burrows lightening it up. This guy is on fire.
Danny G's Raiders beat the Colts. Good. I was so stoked.

(15:04):
I was thinking about your Danny G. Cardinals, Like, are
they back? They beat the Cowboys. That's why Bobo is
not here crying about it. Yeah, Bobo can't believe it.
But all of a sudden, just when you think they're
done right, Yeah, honey, it kind of makes you go.
And it's week to week. I get it. Now. Let's
take a few phone calls and then we gotta there's
a Titans fan on the line. It's fantastic. We'll start

(15:27):
with Dale in Nashville then and then, uh, I do
we have to talk about Antonio Brown because there's there's
more to it than Antonio Brown waiting crazy today? Because
everyone it's a real situation. Dale, you're on retch. What's up, buddy? Hey, boys,
how you doing. Let's hear let's hear a Titans fan.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I gotta I gotta tell you

(15:50):
if if if Tampa Bay was missing Brady, and would
you discount the team if Brady was gonna come back
and be ready for the playoffs. Because Derrick Henry is
ready to go and he will be back for the playoffs.
That's what we're hearing locally. He's already He's got the

(16:10):
local stoop well Dale. As they said in The Wizard
of Oz like a hundred years ago. Well that's awesome.
A different color, as they said to the Wizard of Oz,
that's all of a different color. Because if Derrick Henry
is playing now, that bye week is him a little
extra time and you get a home game and you
got home field throughout. So yeah, I just think that

(16:32):
the parody in the league doesn't feel like they are
a one seed. It doesn't. It doesn't feel that way.
But if if Henry does come back, it does make sense. Right,
So they held it down long enough. In fact, he's
a game changer. It's like it's a good point and
we're gonna sort of talk about that later on, like
when the core guy's gone, is it ever really the same?

(16:52):
Something We're going to discuss. It involved the Impractical Jokers
because they made a big announcement this weekend. We'll talk
about the Mitch on in Omaha. What's up buddy, Hey
greed to be on guys, what's up here? You too?
But so it's kind of a quick point for the
positive and negative here. Positive. I think with what we're
hearing about Henry be on the sideline and kind of

(17:13):
worked out for the game, the Titan might actually be
one of the most slept on one seats in the
last couple of years. Like full strength. You really don't
want to face him here if he is full strength,
which probably goes in their favor, in Brabel favor. Negative man,
Cowboys fans are way too hyped about that team right
now that NFC is still not good. Yeah, I just
might take on those thre Mitch. I'm I don't want

(17:36):
to be a broken record or a parent ro I
said it already the parody, it's it's unbelievable where I mean,
let's see what green Bay does tonight, Because if green
Bay handles a Kirk Cousins list Minnesota team pretty handily,
then you can say to yourself, all right, well, green
Bay is a step above everyone else in the NFC.
That's the only team to me that feels like they're

(17:56):
they're really ready and Aaron Rodgers gonna make this plush right,
you feel that way, you can feel it. And they're
they're clicking out everyone else. Everyone else is trying to
everyone else is trying to figure things out, like even
the Rams, right, Matthew Staffords, don't he started to throw
more picks. He's getting sloppy. That Rams teams that they have,
they're winning games, but not the way they You know,
you would think a twelve and four Rams teams should

(18:17):
be winning. I just think the playoffs is gonna be
so off, the off, the chain, off the hook, off
of anything you can mention. They're gonna be that good.
I can't wait. Speaking of before we talk about a
b Yeah, we gotta talk about your boy, Trey Lance.
I think we're gonna talk about Jalen Hurts or a
spot said Jalen almost got Hurts. See after the game,
did you guys see this clip? It's the best yes

(18:38):
of the fans following God, a bunch of Eagles fans who,
by the way, Eagles fans, I gotta give you a
slow coop because you guys are passionate. You're you're so
terribly rude and awesome at the same time. Philadelphia fans,
I'm shouting you out. You know, it's funny though it's not.
It's no big surprise, no big surprise. There's so many
great games, so many you know, different playoff implications going on,
and the two biggest trending things or Antonio Brown taking

(19:01):
his shirt off and doing what he did, which we're
gonna get to, and this clip that we're talking about
in Washington, Jalen Hurts hilarious. He's leaving the field and
there's a bunch of Eagles fans showing their love, like yo,
Jalen Hurt. They're going nuts. They're probably they're probably many
of drinking deep yeah, yeah, they're And they're all hovering
around the what do you call it a barricade, and

(19:21):
the barricade slips and sort of gives they fall like
ten feet. They're all fine, probably a little bruised up,
I don't feel because they've been drinking in their cold
all day. But then Jalen Hurts reacts, gets out of
the way quick and then gives him a bunch of
bro hugs and like post pictures picture. Yeah, it was real.
It was a really really he softened the blow of

(19:42):
a lot of potential lawsuits, is what I think. You know,
because the fans went away happy after that, because they
could have been seriously hurt. You don't think basically, the
Guardrails gave out, guys, the Guardrails gave out. He were
just trying to get Jalen Hurts his attention. Janaleen. The
good game, man, Jan get the tunnel there. Yeah, I
mean it. The game was in Washington, so Jalen hurts him.

(20:05):
The Eagles should not care at all about had a
nice game, they won, They should not care about security
and then lawsuits in Washington. But fans come pummeling over.
It could have could have, like you said, could have
injured Hurts, and instead it became a nice picture moment
and everybody's fine and happy with the whole scenario. Honestly,
one of the most viral clips of today. What could

(20:26):
have been a terribly surprobably somebody break a thumb or something.
What could have been a terribly bad situation where like, yeah,
Jalen Hurts, the Eagles are about to go into the playoffs,
and a barricade and people fall on him. It could
have been terrible, right, But it's sad, but it's a
couple of drunk bozos fall and they get a cool
picture and then they get up like I'm gonna we're cool.

(20:47):
Man was up and then so that was I thought
it was a cool moment. The reaction of that makes
me like Jalen Hurts, Yes, it really does. That's what
you know what, Danny g You're right sometimes moments like
that define a player where you're like, I I like
him now more. I already liked him, but now I
think what a cool guy right poses with the fans. Yeah,
because he didn't have time. Think that was him being

(21:09):
natural in the moment. Might at the time that fan
fell from the upper thing on top of Reggie Jackson
right before he was about to kill the queen? Was
that or was that naked gun? I can't Rememberzo? That
was Plazzo? Hey Rich, yes, your boy, And I know
you're trying not to discuss your forty niners, And of

(21:29):
course we're gonna talk about Antonio Brown, things that make
you go home, Cavino and Rich, I mean, I even
want to talk about Cobra Kai. There's lots to get to,
but what did you see as a as a forty
Niners fan and is he the guy you want going
against the Rams? Tale of two halfs first half Forts

(21:52):
are losing seven three, and my wife will tell you
I was pacing around the living room like a maniac.
I mean, you do that all the and you do
that when you're on the phone. Standard And Greg Gumbel, who,
by the way, did he get demoted to like the
bottom tier te Like Greg Gumble We grew up with him.
I feel like he's always on the worst game of
the week. He must feel like his agent must have

(22:15):
done the not great work. Greg Gumbel. Um, what if
he's listening now. I love Greg what I'm saying he was,
He's great, but I feel like he's always on like
the game that doesn't matter. And to be honest with
forty not his Houston game today, I's not briant. I
mean no, definitely not. So I'm watching and Trey Lance

(22:35):
has I feel like maybe the jitters in the first half,
or he's not releasing the ball, he's holding the ball,
they get no offense going whatsoever. And it made you
realize as much as we all are hard on Jimmy
Garoppolo and we're very tough on him, and it's not
You're not gonna win the big game with him. And
I've said it too. He's got a quick release right,
and it's like those little slam patterns to Ayuk or

(22:57):
Kiddle or the little flips to d most Samuels work.
Jimmy Garoppolo is really suited for that Kyle Shanahan system
where you feel like they went out with a different
game plane. George Kittle didn't catch a pass until the
fourth quarter. Was that the one Yeah, the one handed,
one hand snag. Yeah, he's pretty ridiculous. You know what.
I noticed too, Like you said, he was holding onto

(23:18):
the ball and maybe the jitters and all that, and
you gotta keep that into consideration. Very little experience. You
really probably don't want them moving forward. You want Garoppolo.
I noticed that when he was scrambling. The dude is
so is too willing to take some big hits. That's
an experience, it really is. And that's tough, and I'm big,

(23:40):
and you can't do that in the long run. In
the long haul, you have the show in highlights of
this kid, Trey Lance, and they're like, you know, looking
at me. He was a safety and he played linebacker
in college and high school and then he you know,
they made him into a quarterback who you're thinking of yourself. Yo.
His level of experience is as low as you could
get to the National Foot Paul League. We're talking about

(24:01):
very little, not gonna lasting long if he keeps taking
hits like that, very little college experience, and I think
he saw that today. He's still learning and his just
physical talents are possibly off the charts from you as Yeah,
I think I think you for a better thumb next week.
I think eventually Trey Lance got the tools. But right now,

(24:21):
if you actually if the forty want to make a
fun little run and see what they could do this year, Yeah,
I don't know if they got the goods to go
all the way or very far, But if the forty
nine want to make a run, because like I said,
the parody in the league makes it seem like anyone
could really do it if they get hot. If the
nine has want to make a run with these weapons kittled,
Samuel Ayuk, Elijah Mitchell was great today, then they probably

(24:43):
want Jimmy g back for this run. And then you know,
maybe next year after training camp and you sort of
hand the reins over to Trey Lance. That's the fresh start.
But right now, moving to Trey Lance, you're not going anywhere,
especially the way Garoppolo and Kyle Shannah have played against
the Rams over the last few years. Right now, you

(25:03):
you gotta hope that grumblos back for that. Well, let's
go to our buddy, Ralph Van Ralph, I know you
you agree with me that Trey Lance time not yet,
my friends, No, it's you let that rookie sit for
a year and learn. Yeah, you can tell that he's
got the tools, but he is just not NFL ready
at all. Like the first half of that game, they

(25:25):
he just seemed lost well. And the thing is with
with a rookie quarterback that can move like that, you
don't want him to pick up injuries that would hamper
his other development. So exactly, we do have one football
game going on right now Sunday at Lambeau and Green Bay.
With a three nothing lead, thirty five yard field goal
from Mason Crosby as the Minnesota Vikings now take the

(25:47):
ball for the first time in this game. Eleven forty
deploy in the Packers with the three nothing lead. Again,
we've got a backup quarterback in four Minnesota. This week's
no Kirk Cousins, and of Minnesota loses, they are technically
eliminated from playoff contention. So Minnesota clinging onto playoff hopes. Yes, yes, absolutely.

(26:07):
But earlier in the day you guys were talking about
at San Francisco, they've won three of their last four,
and they do lead New Orleans by that one game
in the wild card race. Trey Lands two or forty
nine yards passing two touchdowns, Elijah Mitchell a hundred nineteen
yards on the ground. The big note. San Francisco held
Houston to just two two yards of total offense, and

(26:28):
honestly a quarter of that came on the last drive
that where the forty nine is like, let's just play
it out. They beat Houston. Meanwhile, a big win for
Arizona at Dallas. The Cardinals still a game behind the
Rams and alive for that NFC West race. Kyler Murray
two sixty three yards passing two touchdowns, the Cowboys just

(26:50):
forty five yards on the ground in the loss. Now
we do have NBA basketball going on. I know it's
it's early, but it's after Christmas, so the season's officially
started for for anyone who didn't care. Uh Finals in
Cleveland one O eight, one oh four over Indiana. Jared
Allen eighteen points, eleven rebounds. Cavs snap at three game
losing streak, Sacramento one over Miami. The Kings have won

(27:14):
three of their last four games. Buddy Healed led the
way with twenty six And we have free basketball in Boston,
free basketball for everybody. That's because over time is about
to start. The Celtics and Magic tied at one hundred,
playing an extra five minutes. No extra five minutes here,
it's go time. As we sent it back, it's Kavino
and Rich. Now I'm looking at Cleveland and to think that, like,

(27:37):
when was the last time that team fun times in Cleveland? Again,
that was the last time Cleveland had a winning record
without Lebron James on the roster? Uh No, the Indians, Oh,
they Cavaliers. I'm not saying the city of Cleveland. They
had a winning record last year, the Browns, the Indians
went to the World of All split the Cleveland Cavaliers.

(28:00):
That's a good question, right, without Lebron on the roster,
when was the last time they finished above five hundred?
I'll look that up during the break. Okay, I thought
you made in all sports man. The answer would be
last year the Cleveland Browns went to the ANC champions
Browns all been pretty good. Remember core guy not on
the team. It makes all the difference. We're gonna talk
about that later. So Antonio Brown, I wasn't watching the

(28:25):
game at that moment. I just heard the rumblings like
everyone else did. Like yo, he was watching red Zone.
I'm like, oh my goodness. And then immediately it went
to Twitter. I'm like, all right, Antonio Brown search like,
wait a minute, all right, he's taking his shirt off,
he's taking his shoulder pads off. Wait a minute. Evans
is telling him not to. Evans just saying hey, no, no, no,

(28:45):
don't and then don't do it. And then he starts
walking away. Mike. Then I was like, man, I haven't
eaten bed. Look at Antonio Brown's abbs. This guy's ripped.
I was thinking that too. It's like, man, damn, he's ripped.
I said, he must just got the news about Betty White.
He thought that's why he left. He probably got really
sad a guy did. On Friday. He leaves and then

(29:09):
as he's leaving, now I think this made it worse,
but I think it also adds to the whole like
mental health crisis. And I'm not trying to be all
serious guy, but like this guy if he went into
the locker room angry and he was just like, oh,
I'm maud of here. The fact that he like went
through the end zone and he was like hyping up
the crowd, like waving his arms like yeah, It's like,

(29:31):
where is this guy's head at? Which makes me, which
makes me think that this goes like way beyond Antonio
Brown being like being like a crazy guy, and he's
going out on his on his own right and in
his own way, And I think that he knew that
if I do this, my career is done. I'm saying goodbye.

(29:52):
I'm saying goodbye to football. I'm saying goodbye to the fans.
To know what, you know, what it's like, it's like,
and that's what I got out of You ever watched
the local news here in l a spot where, of
course every so often, there's every so often more than
any other city I've ever lived in police chases because
they break, they break in the middle of the day,
and you gotta think, and you gotta think what is

(30:13):
this person doing what? And you know the answer is
they realize the minute they give up, they're done. I
don't They're arrested, they're going to jail. So it's like,
I don't think they I think going into it, I
don't think they they think think it through to the end.
Whatever think they think while they're being pursued by the police.
I think they're thought, is, well, the minute this ends,

(30:35):
I'm going to jail. So if I'm gonna just cruise it,
this might be they're thinking, this might be depending on
what they did, they're thinking, this might be the last
time I drive a car. This might be the last
time I'm I'm free. So it's a matter of going
out and stuff. They're going out the way they want
to go out, and is going out in a beast.
I'm not calling him a criminal. I'm just saying like
when people are in that scenario, they sometimes want to

(30:56):
go out the way, that's what they want to go out.
I was thinking at that moment, like he's just saying goodbye,
he knows he's done, and if he's gonna coming back
from that now here, here's my immediate thought. Rich you're
talking mental health, you know, because I was gonna say
when we say, like when you say, dude, he's crazy,
like the two definitions, Like are we talking like wild

(31:17):
and crazy guys Steve Martin in the eighties, Like no,
We're talking like legitimate like Antonio Brown mental health, mental health. Here,
I'm crazy guy. I remember Rich and early two thousands
one time in the early two thousands, Alex true story,
Danny j True story, Ralph get this can't wait here.
We're partying right in the Minnesota partying. We were in Mexico,
Rich and I, not Minnesota. No, No, we were in Mexico,

(31:38):
not Minnesota. Rough and uh, I'm like, all right, Rich,
I've had enough for you. And I started lost them
in the middle of the night. Sometimes buddies, you know, bros,
they go off and do their own thing for a
little bit, schmoozing with some some ladies. Yeah, we're partying.
I caught up with Rich later on that night, eightter

(32:00):
On that night, after a few drinks. Rich had had
no shoes on, no shoes. I gonna do what happened
in your shoes? He didn't even know. He's like, I
don't know, man, having the time of my life. So
I mean, it was a beach party in Mexico. So wild.
That's a wild and crazy guy. Like when you dance
yourself out of your shoes and you don't even know
where they ended up. That's wild and crazy Guy's like

(32:21):
your party guy, you're crazy a b Something else is
going on. And I don't claim to know Antonio Brown personally,
but here's what I do know. Okay, Rich and I
interviewed this dude many times, and I feel I believe
and I know some of you guys may disagree, and
I know Ralph doesn't necessarily agree with me either, but

(32:42):
I feel like the guy we met is not the
guy that you've seen in the NFL today. I'm not
saying it's CTE or too many hits to the head,
but I'm not discounting that either. Super talented guy. Everyone has,
every ends up being his own worst enemy. Man. Everyone
has friends or family that deal with some type of
mental health. And I think that Antonio Brown earlier today.

(33:07):
You see the you see the p s. A is
all the time on all the networks mental health, mental health,
mental health, and there was a big thing mental health.
Get your mentals right, take care of yourself. Everybody needs
somebody to talk to you. But if you're Antonio Brown,
you're probably surrounded by a bunch of yes people too. Yeah, yo,

(33:28):
ayb you know what you should do. He may even thought,
man if arians doesn't let me play, I'm gonna I'm
gonna go out my own way, and he's probably surrounded
by people are like, yeah, man, that's a good idea.
AB During the Olympics, Simone Viles reallyadrue attention to it,
which she was like, oh, yeah, I'm not competing. I
don't I don't feel up to it. I'm taking myself out.
And people were okay. They were people split on it.
Some people like well, quitter and other people like yo,

(33:50):
mental health. So this is a I want to say,
sensitive subject, but I think everyone's going to jump towards
man Antonio Brown. What a headache? What I get this
guy out of here? But the reality is I think
Tom Brady, I mean, how typical Tom Brady is the
guy saying the right thing. I mean, I mean, after
I witnessed what had happened when Kurt Henning passed away,

(34:11):
he was the first guy I sort of thought I
wanted to know what had happened, right, I was like
what happened that caused him to do that was he
fighting with somebody on the side. Didn't have to do
with his bonuses, right, because he was up for a
bunch of bonuses. I did think, how's Tom Brady gonna
handle this? Is in his best interest to just say,
you know, we wish him the best and then and

(34:31):
move on, because you don't want it to take away
from where they are. And that that whin he pulled
out too, with like a minute and a half left,
when Kurt Henning passed away. Like I was saying five
minutes ago, I thought Mr Perfect was gone forever. But
Tom Brady is now Mr Perfect. And this guy doesn't

(34:51):
ever say the wrong thing. And if you haven't, if
you have not heard what Tom Brady said, and if
you he's sort of compared to what Bruce Arian said,
you're gonna get multiple sides of this Antonio Brown story.
And we'll get to that next right here on Covino
and Rich. Yeah, Yeah, Corvino and Rich on Fox Sports

(35:13):
Radio eight nine nine on Fox Your Takeaways a week seventeen,
We're getting to the A B Talk now. It's getting juicy,
plus our regular nonsense at Copno and Rich on social media.
So Sunday Night Party. Isn't it weird when you hear
TikTok songs outside of twenty seconds? And I god, the

(35:33):
song goes on for more than twenty seconds. I think
it's weird when you find out where it's from. It. Yeah,
there's certain ones where I'm like, wait, that's the Backyardigans.
I think a kids cartoon. Yeah, there's a ton of
those where I'm like, that's where it's wrong. Okay, so
that's where's Davis forty Niners super fan. I'm Steve Cavino.

(35:55):
We got Alex Tisher ramp Urban on the news. Danny
g Are produced her and Spot is here. He's just
the guy on the couch. Spot is here, So give
us a call. Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox.
I was listening to Greg almand Rich. Greg Almand of
The Athletic, who covers the Buccaneers, was on with Dan
Bayer right before our show, right and he's like, scoop's Callahan.

(36:17):
He had the scoop on what was going on with
a b because a lot of us didn't know. We
just saw and guys, you know, we're gonna give a
serious spin a little bit, but I don't want to
lose the fun either. Like all the memes I'm seeing
about Antonio Prossy one of him clinging to the plane,
I mean I saw, yeah, we'll go over that to

(36:39):
look there is something funny about it because it's something
we've really never seen before, Like what is going on?
So we're only human. I don't I don't want to.
I don't want to be the guy to take to
serious tone. But the reality is the guy has mental
health issues, right, so so, but what happened right because
we're all trying to figure that out. Evans on the
sideline trying to keep him down, We're like, you know,
he had all these bonuses and if still uh, you know,

(37:01):
to play for what happened? Greg Allmand was saying that
he had an ankle injury, like his ankle was hurting him,
and Bruce Arians was like, yeah, you know, I want
you to get out there next play, and he's like, no,
my my ankle hurts. And it seemed to be like
a standoff going on, like what do you mean your
ankle hurts? I don't want to go out you know,

(37:23):
my ankle hurts. So Bruce Arians says something along the
lines of well, if you're not going in, you're out
of the game. You're done for the day, and then
you're done for the day turned into that, which turned
into he's no longer a buck. So you're saying I'm done.
You're done. So you're saying I'm gone, You're done, my ankle,

(37:43):
you don he said. He was basically saying, if you're
not gonna go in when I tell you to go in,
then you're done. You know, might as well, might as
well get off, get out, half day, half day, right, Yeah,
he took a half day right after that. And then
we see the press conferences. I'm thinking, well, what's tom
Brady gonna say? Tom Brady vouched for the I right
more than once. Oh you ever vouch for the wrong guy?

(38:05):
That's a conversation for another day. Ye maybe, Hey, maybe
maybe today. You know, we have lots to talk about.
You ever ever ever do that deal where it's like, hey,
can you could? I could I put your name down
as a reference, And you're like, I don't quite know,
because tom Brady essentially was this guy's reference. I mean,
and tom Brady is a great reference, and you don't

(38:25):
want to let tom Brady down. Now. My takeaway again, Rich,
is you and I have had many of interviews. We've
even quote unquote partied. I'm using the I'm using the
term loosely. We have party with Antonio Brown and we
met a young dude who was stoked about getting in
the league. You know, seems super cool, seemed like he
was with it. You know, after several years in the league,

(38:47):
doesn't seem to be the same guy. Is that some
sort of mental health issue, too many hits to the head.
We don't know. I don't know. But when you factor
those things in, right, it's one thing if we all
joke about it and you text your buddy a funny meme,
you sow about a b leaving mid game, just retire,
he's the new Nike yet, just retire. It's one thing

(39:10):
to joke about it amongst friends, but it's another thing
for arians to go out there and just sort of
like say he's done, you know what I mean. And
when we were talking to Ralph, his sort of point
and I want Ralph to elaborate, and we'll go to
the phones to eight seven nine Fox, is that Tom

(39:31):
Brady handled it the way the coach should have handled it,
And now, the way Bruce Arians handled it and he
had like a whole half of a game to figure
out what he was gonna say along with the NFL
doesn't look good when NFL promotes mental health all the time.
They just sort of dismissed him, and they haven't even

(39:52):
addressed and they haven't really addressed it. The NFL could
have come out and said what happened today with Antonio
Brown is unacceptable. But we as the fans, we we understand, like, yeah, man,
he seems to be a headache. Good riddance, Like what
a clown. I get it. But when you're the coach
of the team, you can't come across in that way. Yeah,
if you're a fan, just goofing around. You're allowed to

(40:15):
mock and make fun of the situation because you don't
need to be sensitive and think about doing the right
thing right. But if you have the NFL or Bruce Arians,
perhaps you need to. And we'll play that audio Bruce
Arians and Tom Brady next right here on Fox Sports Radio.
Coven On Rich, Oh yeah you said it, Buddy Cavino

(40:36):
and Rich Steve Cavino, Rich Davis, It's the show on
Fox Sports Radio and Fear does not exist in this joke?
Does it no sense? A? How is season four so far?
I mean, I'm only one episode in? Okay, I'm all
fired up about it. I think I'm rocking this Cobra
Kai headband. I know I came wearing his geme because

(40:57):
I'm not firing up about the show. I'm uh, I'm
gonna watch Dexter tonight. Oh man, you got Dexter tonight.
You got Cobra Kai, you got Boba Fett, the Book
of Boba Fett on Disney. Plus, I've been watching Hawkkeye
so much, and you got all your week seventeen highlights
and your game tonight that we're going over again. We're

(41:17):
Cavino and Rich. You know what else? I am watching
now because Spot and every one else I talked to
was like, you gotta watch a You better not say
yellow Stone. Yes, eight episodes in. It's good. It's good.
But you don't want to ask myself? Do you know
what I ask myself, Danny J. Do I like it?
And I stick it with it because everyone keeps saying

(41:39):
how great it is. Because if I watched it without
any outside influence, I might be like, yes, this is good.
But I don't love it. I'm gonna watch Cowboys. I
want to watch Dak Prescott and Zekill, not these guys.
Not that uh that's his face. H Let's say Kurt Russell,
wrong guy, Kevin, You're all the your eight episodes and

(42:00):
it was Kevin cost I was just thinking of people
like our mom's like Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell, Tom Seller
in that case, shout out Dr Phil your mom like
drst the Hot Dr Phil. Michael Landon, Michael Hey, Michael
Landon's daughter is on Yellowstone, isn't she? Yes? Look it up?
Look it up? Look it up? Well enough, TV. Let's

(42:23):
get back to Antonio Brand and they will take your
phone calls. Let's hear from Tom Brady. He handles it right,
who handles it perfectly? Take a listen to TV twelve.
How disappointed are you? Bruce Arian said he's no longer
a buck. Yeah, I mean that's um obviously a difficult situation.
And you know, I think we all want you know,

(42:44):
him to to you know, just I think everybody should find,
you know, hopefully do what they can to help him
in ways that you know he really needs it. And
you know we all love him, we care about him deeply.
You know, we want to see him be at his
best and you know, unfortunately won't be with our team,
but we have a lot of friendships that that will last.
And again, I think the most important thing about football
the relationships with their your friends and your teammates, and

(43:05):
they go beyond the field. And I think everyone should
should be very compassionate and empathetic towards um some very
difficult things that are happening. Wow wow, wow wow. I mean,
you know, you know, it's interesting. I was like, does
Tom Brady come up with this stuff on his own
just from experience because he's a good hearted person, or
does he have a publicist, there's someone in his corner.

(43:26):
It's like, listen, Tom, here's how we as a team
are going to handle this. And Ralph Irvan's like, no,
that's that's just Tom. And when you see man in
the arena, you do believe that like Tom Brady, it's
just a well thought out, all around great guy. And
and that's how you gotta handle things as a leader,
as opposed to how Bruce arians handled it. And and

(43:49):
I'm sure he's gonna get a little bit of backlash. Yeah,
take a listen, to Bruce Arians. Then we want to
talk about that last drive, but I have to start
with can you tell us what happened to Antonio Brown?
Did he quit? I've never seen a guy leave a
field like that, and it's just the last strike for him.
He is no longer a buck. All right, that's the
end of the story. Let's talk about the guys that
we're not doing one day game. Well, you know, you

(44:11):
could see where Bruce Arian is speaking with emotion. He
got a joke for you? Got joke? What is a
being a slice of pizza? Haven't coming a b and
a slice of pizza? I'm sure there's a bunch of
things we could think. You got what? What? What? No
longer a buck? Can I ever bet it you? You

(44:32):
should have liked that joke. You're the cheesiest guy I know.
It's like that time you got your ears pierced in Tampa?
All right? How much did it cost? Buck? Here? Hey?
What everyone thinks they're sent for the entertainer? Who you Harvey? Sorry?
You really I don't know. I don't know. You guys

(44:52):
been the kings of com By the way, did you
see a New Year's Eve? Steve Harvey is now judge
Steve Harvey, there's a new show coming out. Move over to.
Here's the thing about a bad joke. I never said
it was a good joke. Focus. The thing about a
bad joke is somebody's gonna repeat that bad joke and
I want credit. How about that? Now? Antonio Brown sort
of boke on what Tom Brady said there. He went

(45:17):
immediately to social media like he didn't waste time. Antonio
Brown started putting stuff out there on Instagram. He says,
football is what we do and he posts a picture
of him chilling. He's just chilling. He goes, football is
what we do, not who we are. Love and he sends,
you know, love out to the fans. He said his
goodbye to his fans. Now again we as fans, he

(45:41):
doesn't live to work, you know, as as fans, you
know how many chances he got. You're fed up with
the guy, like he's a headache. You know, good riddance.
But as a leader and as an organization, Bruce Arians
and the NFL, they have to handle it in a
different way. Now, we could joke about it, You and

(46:01):
your buddies could joke about it. We could joke about it, yo,
Antonio Brown. Look at all the memes the internet's gonna
be joking. Yeah, the social media is blowing up with
funny Antonio Brown stuff. But at the end of the day,
if you want to be empathetic, which is sometime I'm
trying to work on, because every woman I've ever been
with says I lack empathy, and they're right, yeah, and
compassion and and oh, you guys are perfect. Okay, I'm

(46:21):
sorry you guys really okay, acknowledging, Okay, you're perfect? Spot
I forgot that. Can you know either, you're fantastic? Was
this the best sports walk off ever? Do you guys
remember back in when the Bill's cornerback Vonte Davis at
halftime half times like I'm done. Yeah, he got so
much crap for it. This this, I mean, one's right. Yeah,

(46:46):
I mean there was a point where they thought it
was a streaker, so security were on their radios they
were gonna run and tackle a be because they thought
it was a fan out there running around In the
end of that, Yeah, I saw that. You want to
go out and start Look at uh Russell Wilson today,
that might have been his last game in Seattle. He's like,
you know, what I'm going out and style. This is

(47:06):
my last game. Put up four touchdown passes. Let me
remind everybody what I'm about. I'm going out and style.
You know, Uh, Roethlisberger onorrow night, he wants to go
out and style. We're talking about, you know, legendary players.
Antonio Brown, regardless of the Antonio clown sort of thing,

(47:27):
he became still a legendary player. That was his way
of saying, I'm going out in my own way and style.
You haven't seen a guy leave a game like that
since Ned Braden didn't he ended up in the NHL.
Let me tell Let me tell you if you don't
know the slop shot reference, I got no words for you.
Slap shot not in my wheelhouse. I've seen it, but

(47:48):
not back to the minors, major league, major League three?
Which one is major league? Back to the minors? First three?
That's the worst one. Hey, Ralph us Uh, what's what's
your take on it? Again? On how Bruce arians sort
of handled the whole thing and what do you think
the backlash will be? Because I started seeing some negative

(48:09):
headlines already about how he handled it. Here's the question
is how is Antonio Brown received in that locker room
because it couldn't be all negative, or he would have
never brought him back. So you've got to think that
their support for Antonio Brown in the locker room, and
he just trashed him. And there are players I've been
in a lot of locker rooms in my career working

(48:31):
with teams that they already have a certain thing against
coaching and authority and to see one of their guys
tossed a side like that when they know he's dealing
with stuff, because they look at it and say, well,
what happens when I'm going through stuff? Is Bruce Arians
gonna do me like that? In the press, I feel
like you hear in Brady's voice when he's when he's

(48:53):
giving his little well thought out diplomatic speech, even he
sounds like he's like, I can't even say this one
like this, This is just you know, this is it? No, No,
nobody has a problem in that locker room with him
being tossed out, with him moving on. It's how the
coach handled it, difference on how Brady handled it and

(49:14):
how Arians handled it. The Arians is the guy that
should have been handling it the way Brady Brady did.
The whole like, let's hope Antonio Brown, you know, and
this this is where I go. I was telling you
guys about the NFL. They still the NFL still has
not said anything about this. And the NFL could have
gotten ahead of this, because it was plenty of time

(49:36):
by saying we're we're going to make sure that this
guy's okay. We're going to make sure that this guy
is in a better place because everybody saw this, and
the NFL hasn't done anything to say, we stand by
our players and we're gonna make sure he's taken care of.
And again as an organization, as an organization, the NFL,
the NFL is out there every week pushing mental health,

(49:59):
mental health, mental health. If you don't have somebody to
talk to, there's always someone you can call blah blah,
and they have done nothing. It's a great point, Ralph.
Maybe maybe this was the last straw though, Maybe that
you don't know the drama that goes on behind the scenes,
Maybe this was it, and maybe arians were just like,
you know what, I'm done. He still, let's focus on,
he said, Let's focus on the players that stuck around

(50:21):
that deserve it got to be addressed on a higher
level just because of what Ralph said, how the NFL
is pushing pushing the narrative of mental health being a priority,
and they will release a statement. But Ralph's probably right
in the fact that the fact that nothing has been
done yet, they've had time. We'll see what happens, maybe
by the end of our show. Now I saw an article.
I'll give the guy props. It is Patrick Walker, who

(50:45):
is a sportswriter. He did sort of like the timeline
caveno if we forgot some of the things that Antonio
Brown has done over the years. Just to remind us,
this isn't a take a dump on Antonio Brown segment.
It's just more of a just let's remind ourselves that
this is not an isolated incident. Antonio Brown. It's been
years now before you you get into the list though,
and I know it's a long list. I do want

(51:07):
to remind people to give us a call. What's your take?
What made you gone? On Fox? Keep in mind he
was part of the Super Bowl winning team, scored a
touchdown in the Super Bowl and sort of stayed out
of the press all through this year until the vaccination
card thing happened. So he was on his sort of

(51:28):
best behavior as far as we knew, as far as
the public saw, and that's why they brought him back. So,
the first sign of Antonio Brown drama five years ago,
and it was more fun a B business was booming.
Antonio Brown Pittsburgh Steelers business was booming. He was streaming

(51:49):
on his phone without the team knowing in the locker room. Right,
Remember that that was dramatics five years ago. And that
was five years ago now. The following year, but he
was like, way about us, all about a snapchat and
social media. At that time, there was a incident in
where he started doubting and talking about Ben Roethlisberger. Yeah,

(52:14):
that was on and people were not loving that. Now.
He then in February, which is three years ago, he
proclaimed it was time to move on, right around Valentine's Day, Like, sorry,
my love, the favorite Pittsburgh is over. Then we could
just fast forward. Then it was then then it was

(52:38):
he challenged the Levy on Bell thing. He the whole
helmet thing and with the Raiders. Remember the helmet thing.
We forgot that I didn't forget. He wasn't gonna play
because he could wear a special helmet. He's just trying
to get out of that. I think there's so many
things in between that it's not even worth bringing up.
Remember he remember he froze his feet. Yeah, the chamber,
the cryo chamber, you got frozen foot and on hard

(53:01):
knocks he kept giving updates by pulling the skin back
from his heel. Frozen foot. I remember the frozen foot era,
the weird relationship he had with John Gruden, Remember like
the videos that were releasing and stuff that was odd
and well he got the Patriots. I got a new
one for you guys because an uber driver who calls

(53:22):
himself the personal driver to Odi b O b J
se Kwon Barkley. Oh, he's posted Antonio Brown in the
car that he picked up from the stadium during the game.
I like your Woutang reference. He might have been the
driver for o ralph Irvan. He likes it rows better

(53:45):
have my money. But yeah, Antonio Brown took taking a
car out of the stadium, uh long before the team
got there. And man, yeah he became really problematic. I
just put it with grewed In. There was a suspension,
a reversal and emotional apology. Um then he said he

(54:06):
ain't he ain't got no more games, but then he
wanted to be released. Remember the Patriots. That was short lived.
There was so many things along the way that so
when he all right, we already acknowledged the serious side
of this, right, it's maybe there may be something going
on that we don't know about. The NFL needs to

(54:26):
address that. Yeah, let's let's be a fan for a second.
Was that like the most memorable way for him to
honestly just say, after all that I'm doing it, after
all this, Yes, after all, when you really think about it,
it's not three structure out with Antonio Brown had nine lives.

(54:51):
I think I bet you could count nine mess ups
that lesser talented people. It would have been like, yeah,
you're done. So I think we could say Antonio Brown
has had nine lives and hold on. He had all
these incentives rich and this is why I thought he
left the way. He left eight more catches to unlock

(55:11):
three hundred and thirty three thousand dollars as a bonus.
He needed fifty five receiving yards to unlock another three
hundred three thousand, three hundred thirty three dollar bonus. He
needed one receiving touchdown again to receive a three thirty
three thousand dollar bonus. It was a costly outburst, is

(55:31):
what they're saying. You're talking about you're talking about eight catches.
If he had eight catches for sixty yards and a
touchdown over a game and a half, that second half
of this game and next week, that's a million dollars
in bonuses. Wow. You gotta think if his ankle really
was sore like the athletic report, then he knew he
wasn't going to get those incentives done. And so time

(55:55):
to say farewell. You know, as a as a Raiders fan,
one thing that's going to be memorable to me is
when he famously got out of Oakland. Remember the call
from Mike Mayock and he's celebrating, he's running. Yeah, Grandma's
screaming for telling his grandmother good news that he's out
of Oakland. And I have a Charger's friend who used

(56:16):
to work here at the network with me shout out
big brother Jake, and him and other co workers famously said, oh,
he's a genius because he went to the Patriots. Remember,
he just didn't want to play with that team. He
doesn't have CT he's a genius. And so now that
picture everyone's using for the meme where he's in the
end zone facing the Jets fans and he's kind of

(56:39):
bouncing up, you know, melting down. I texted that to
big brother Jake, and I'm like, hey, you still think
this dude's a genius? Man? Such an unfortunate scenario, because
I mean, honestly, you're right Covinow. We could joke about
all like everyone else, because there's gonna be so many
great memes and videos and pictures, but the reality is
it's a guy that's troubled and because he's had so
much talent and he's so good, he he's been given

(57:02):
maybe leeway that he shouldn't have been given, right, which
allowed him. You know how a lot of times you
enable people because they're talented are good, like maybe like
a really good looking woman or a good looking dude
or a successful person gets a little more leeway. Yeah,
that's exactly what happened. You don't think it was like,
you know, if he was not antone, if he was
not super talented, it would have been like, yeah, dude,

(57:22):
one or two of those mistakes Siadara, buddy, and although
memorable what we saw today and and kind of funny
right from our from a fans perspective and the internet's perspective.
Um on a serious note, like you know what, a
guy with numbers like that in a legendary career that
he had, I don't think he wants to be remembered

(57:44):
for this. That might be the perfect way for him.
We'll take your phone calls. By the way, Kevin in
Culver City, I see you, man, I know you even
holding a while. You're our first call when we get
back right here. On on Rich Good Choice and Rich
Fox Football Sunday. Did I say O D B I
mean O B J Sports Radio, SNR at Covino and

(58:10):
Rich at Spots Center, everybody Spot the show, Danny g
Ralph Irvin on the news, Alex Tysher hanging out with
us right now. By the way, we have a spot
has an issue with Alex's running. Why are you saying
we're gonna We're gonna bring it up. It's like there's

(58:33):
more beef in here than with Dana White and Jake
none whatsoever. By the way, we just please all agree
that there's no way on earth Antonio Brown's gonna fight
Chake Paul. We just make sure that doesn't happen. They
should not allow that if that was even like I thought,
it's possible could happen, because anything's possible. Jake Paul calls
out people smaller than him who don't box. Perhaps A

(58:57):
B is his next contestant. Contender, Well, we'll find out
to play staff boy. I'll give Ralph credit. He found
out the year when was the last time the Cleveland
Cavaliers were over five hundred without Lebron James on the
roster the year seven? So this is their first year
without Lebron where they're actually a winning team. And by

(59:20):
the way, Green Bay just got it into the end zone.
Twelve nothing extra point. We'll make it thirteen nothing. Aaron
Rodgers sort of cruising over eight Cousins less Minnesota Vikings
boring something that game. Sewan Mannion is the backup for
the Vikings right now. Sort of a boring game. It

(59:40):
sounds like an accountant. Yeah, um, let's take a time
out from a B from all the other stuff going on.
Kevin's bent on hole for a while. Let's go to
Kevin and Culver City. We'll take a phone call and
mix it up. What's up, keV, what's up? Man? Thanks
for holding man. We we apologize. I appreciate that. Appreciate that. Yeah,

(01:00:02):
I just think Bruce is uh, you know, it's just
like a disappointed father. You know, the whole vaccine card thing.
He bought it back after that. Media was given flak
to that, so he's just like, enough is enough. I
just think there's more frustration more than anything. I'm pretty
sure you know, behind the scenes, he was probably trying
to talk to him, and and Bruce is a player's coach.
A lot of guys, everybody in the league likes Bruce,
So I don't think it was anything like that. Hey,

(01:00:24):
nice to hear that. Yeah. Yeah, And as far as
you know, as as trade goes, I hope babe he
gets helped too. But as far as trade goes, you know,
he started out row like you said, a tell a
too half. I thought the first half he was pressing
a little bit, and in the second half the game
kind of came to him easily. And you could see
that throw the deevo Samuel, that might be a throw

(01:00:45):
that Jimmy might have overthrew, you know. So yeah, what
I liked about it was everybody was you didn't know
which one option to take Divo, Samuel Elijah Mitchell kiddo,
you gotta picture poison. So that's what trade offers. He's
a guy who can move with his legs, who makes
it better for the office because the office more options.
Like you saw, he gotta touchdown. They got called back

(01:01:06):
because of holding by Brandon are you? But he had
a pretty good overall game. And you know, I just
wish Kyle Shanahan would stop with the facial expressions on
the sideline. You know, it seems like every time he
feels like he makes a mistake, he's scared, he's gonna,
you know, get taken out of something. You gotta let
him play free. So, like I said, just then play
free and you know come along like she saw with
Josh Allen and even passing Mahomes in his first game

(01:01:28):
against them. But let him play and you'll get a
lot better if you if you just let the game
come to him. You know, you can let him play
free against the Texans, but you let him play free
against the Rams. Well you know what, Kevin, thanks to
the call, And I agree with you. Kyle Shanahan got
do do face on the sidelines way too much. But
I mean, you got do do face. It makes a
lot of I always look like he's frowning or mad
or upset. Like I'm not saying he needs to be

(01:01:49):
all sunshine rainbows, but he's right, Kyle Shanahan. Spatial expressions
need to be adjustable. But you know when you don't
want to show you frustration sometimes, Yeah, Kyle Shanahan. I
don't know if he contained it so well today, but
were their emotions on their face? And it's good about Belichick,
I do. He's got a right question. Resolution. I wonder

(01:02:13):
if you ever made them. Yeah, I don't believe in resolution.
Now that now that, now that my team put up
a fifty spot, I'll answer your question. I want to
eat health here have more you know the green beans,
eat more greens. Alright, alright, so we wish Antonio Brown,

(01:02:34):
Uh yeah, good mental health two. But it was wild.
As a fan, You're like, this is this is crazy.
I've never seen this before. As Chevy Chase said in Vacation,
this is crazy. This is crazy. This is crazy. And
by the way, we definitely missed the Ned Brandon slapshot
reference at Ralph May before him embarrassed he showed be

(01:02:54):
during the break. It's a great scene. I feel like
that's the one old school sports movie. I haven't seen
the seventies movie, but there were some some signs today
they were reminiscent of that scene. In that scene, you
see the guy, he's dancing around, he's he's ice skating,
he's calling it a day. Paul Newman is in the
middle of a fight looking at him like what's going on.
When Antonio Brown was doing that, you saw the players

(01:03:16):
turn around like what is going on? What is he
doing in the end zone right now? Shirtless? Well, who's
coming with me? You do see that, And again not
to swing from tom Brady, but you could have got
caught up in that moment and you could have let
things fall apart. But he comes back, and Tom Brady

(01:03:38):
fashioned them with a minute and a half left and
does what he does to beat the Jets. I mean,
it's the narrative slightly different if they lose to the Jets,
I think so. But in what way though that it
would have been like he cost them the game or d'
antonio Brown he leaves a sinking ship. I don't know,

(01:03:58):
you know, like been different, you know, I think it
would have. Now before we get to other big storylines
Week seventeen of the NFL spot. You could call him out,
you could call it Alex. I have nothing to say.
I just made an observation. Alex is running the boards today.
You never told us what the observation was. I didn't
know Alex until he stepped in studio today. But before this,

(01:04:22):
before the show, he was in the kitchen preparing what
I could possibly be the biggest smoothie I've ever seen
in my life. He prepared spots like some dudes making.
I think he's making the kitchen like I saw he
cuts and veggies. He cut the entire fruit department of use.
Like it's not just a regular size blender of single stars.

(01:04:44):
It's a full size, like ninja size blender, fulled, filled
with fruit and the most expensive meal I eat a day.
And I think it's done. I think he finished it.
It's like the biggest smoothe I've ever seen in my life.
Why they call him the super Vegan described it though, Alex.
It was like a smoothie for like a week's worth
of smoothies basically. But that's your dinner. Oh, it's my

(01:05:05):
breakfast every day. Hold it, Hold that up, let me
see it that is like the entire pitch, that whole thing,
and it's finished ounces a day. Hang on, keep holding that.
I'm going to tweet that out. Yeah, that is sort
of ridiculous. You want to know what's inside of air?
Would love to from the ground up. It's a It's
a whole leader and a half of spring water, and
then there's a whole glove of turmeric, ginger root. Can

(01:05:27):
I go to gojiberries, cocoa, nibs. We have a whole
carton of strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, a whole thing of cherries, mangoes.
I have china seeds, hempseeds, flex seed, sesame seeds. I
have the actual liquid of zinc, magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin C,
hemp protein that's purely grained with nothing else in it,
and a couple of other things. And he's had COVID

(01:05:47):
twice and he's miserable, right, And he's miserable and he
cries at night, man, and he cries at night because
he's a PE's bright orange. Wow, dude, that's a lot.
I've been doing it for now four years. This drink
really everything. What's the what's the benefit? I mean, you

(01:06:10):
look like you're in great shape, you're slender, fella, So
is this like a meal replacement for you? So basically,
like the more I started to go down that rabbit
hole of nutrition and everything, I found out like what
the body needs to thrive. So I only eat two
meals a day. That's my first and the second is
like a meal with like either some whole grain rice,
keen water stuff like that, and some uh probably garbonzo

(01:06:31):
beans and some cooked up veggies. And that's it. Man,
what's been the we should look we should look at you,
and I should look a lot different for I talk
about like three times a week. I'll tell you. The
biggest thing was I was having like little health issues
and I went to so many different like doctors, specialists.
They had no idea. Then I finally was like maybe
I just changed what I eat and it changed everything.
And I was always this fit. It was just more

(01:06:54):
so like now I'm just constantly a b ripped Okay,
So we're not just so you're you're feeling ripped and
you feel like you're energy levels that's the best one
to six hour window, Okay, So you you do that.
I feel like I'm listening to one of our m
drive live reads we do on the right. You know
it is it is interesting because he drinks the entire
blenders worth right, it's and it's a it's an extend

(01:07:18):
though blenders say not to sound cheap like that. That
gets pricey, right, I mean you have that every day,
every single day. Wow, for you, it's like smoothie. Oh
it's almost thirty bucks a smooth that's a thirty dollar smoothie.
He lives. He lives off the exit ramp of the

(01:07:39):
one at one, but he has a great smoothie every day.
I'm impressed. I'll tell you this. If I give you
guys the ingredients list and you do it for a month,
I promise you in four years from now, we'll both
be like, so, how long you still been doing it for?
You know what? It tastes good. It's insanely good. Maybe
I need to pull a bell check to do it,
maybe the occupant. Maybe I need to do something new

(01:08:00):
because exaggera not three times a week. But I do
eat a little too much fast food and crappy food,
like I do Taco bellt once a week, for sure,
I do. I hop just just say it. I eat
out every day it's okay. You do okay, two little
kids and I went top, so they drove there are
you droving there? You don't take your What are you

(01:08:20):
going when you have your daughter? I love ie Hop,
but you're the one at the nice eating at there's
there's four ingredients in a pancake. Make a home. I
love I I made pancakes this weekend. So you don't
want to leave the house ever with your kids. You
don't have you don't you don't have kids. You know
you don't know what it feels like to be trapped
at them in a house. You need to get out.
Why do you get mad we're agreeing with you. I
feel like I'm trapped in here with you. Let's jump
on out bandwagon a little bit spot. Can you get

(01:08:42):
the ingredients in? Definitely? You know what I want to
make it once. We'll share it with a lot of
you willing to buy it. We'll split. Let's split it.
There's a little inside. Just go to sprouts. They always
have deals on them. Let's do it. Hey, man, you
convinced me and it feels you up obviously. I mean
tell you this, bro like no joke. You can have
just every day and be fine. He looks fantastic and

(01:09:03):
you're glowing. And you're glowing. Yeah, I know I need
protein to build an aura about him. It's orange. He
has an orange aura. And you speaking of oranges, I
actually have twenty two fresh oranges just pick today from
my garden. I'll bring him in for you. Guys. Right, Alex,
we just met and I think your maniac. But still
I love you. Thank you? Right? Help as wealth? We

(01:09:26):
like it? I did. I'm not kidding. We're always looking
for something new, right, It's a new year. You know,
health is a priority along with mental health. Spot, Let's
do it. Let's try it. I'll try it. Let's try
to rit you in. Are you I'm in? All right,
we'll get back. I need to know the macros on
that though, before we get into it. Ralph, what is
trending our good buddy? Oh my goodness, giant smoothie. Don

(01:09:52):
you see the size of the freaking smoothie smoothie? Yeah?
I work with him all the time. This is this
is nothing. Knew. I am tweeting it out right now
at Covino and Rich. I thought Spot was exaggerating. You wasn't. No, No,
if I'm glad you brought it up. It's just, you know,
watching people be fascinated by something you've seen for your
right It's like rich watching Yellowstone right Twin Peaks was

(01:10:16):
really cool too. Back in the night, I want to
check that out. We have green Bay, Minnesota right now,
Sunday Night football and the Packers of Bitch. I've been
doing Packer things in the back behind Rogers undersetter, Patty
back pedals, Rooks pump thigs now lost right side plus

(01:10:39):
Packers Radio Network with the called green Bay a thirteen
nothing lead over Minnesota. One eight team to play in
the first half so far Aaron Rodgers seventeen seventy six
yards passing and that one score. Sean Mannion five of
eight for twenty six yards. Hey, but they used a
draft pick on Kellen Mond who's been on the roster

(01:11:00):
all year and they didn't want to play him, so
he must be doing really well. Goodness gracious. Earlier in
the day, Arizona two over Dallas, holding the Cowboys just
forty five yards rushing, the Cardinals just a game behind
the Rams in the n f C West. San Francisco
not gonna play for the division, but they can play
for the playoffs. Big Winter Day over Houston. Teeve Trey

(01:11:22):
Lands two touchdowns two nine yards in the air. Out
of the NBA. Jalen Brown fifty points, eleven rebounds. Boston
beats Orlando in overtime one sixteen, one eleven. He's only
the seventh Celtics to ever score fifty points. He had
twenty four in the fourth quarter. Not too bad. Dallas
six over Oklahoma City Luka don Che It's fourteen points, tennessis,

(01:11:44):
nine rebounds. Pretty good game. Not the best game in
the game. Not the best performance in the game though.
That goes to Josh Giddy of Oklahoma City, who seventeen points,
fourteen rebounds, thirteen assists. That's a triple double. He at
nineteen years old, he is the youngest player in NBA
history to record a triple double. The Australian rookie making

(01:12:06):
a big move there in the losing effort. Always a
record to be broken. Ralph. There it is Phoenix one
three over Charlotte. Devin Booker led seven sons and double
figures nineteen points and twelve rebounds. As we set it back,
it's Comino and rich On an NFL Sunday. Yeah, Hey, Ralph,
do we do we underestimate not only the fruit and
vegtuaal in take of Alex Tisher, but do we also

(01:12:29):
that the biggest smoothie record has been broken? There? You go? Yeah,
do we underestimate that smuggling orangees? Do we understand the
bond those are? Is that fruit in your pants? Uh?
Do we underestimate the bond between Joe Burrow and Jamaar Chase?
I mean, Jamar Chase is putting up like insane numbers today,
what over two hundred and fifty yards receiving. But I

(01:12:52):
think we've talked about this off the year, but their
connection at l s U like, we can't downplay the
fact that they they have chemistry that goes beyond like, hey,
we're both on the Bengals. Now. Well, since you're asking
me this, I'm just gonna answer with something completely unrelated
about Joe Burrow. Urban Meyer thought that Dwayne Haskins was
a better option. Is that wild man? Consider that? Yeah?

(01:13:16):
But you'll you look at their chemistry and you say
to yourself, like, yeah, like they connect, they connect, and
they've been doing it's not and he knows where to
throw the ball where he can catch it, you know,
Burrow knows where Jays will get a ball that most
guys won't look for. I feel like they broke some
sort of record already. Of you know, college, it's connection.
It has to be, I mean, because you know why,

(01:13:38):
I'm not saying it's of course, it's not a take
that people haven't thought about before. But when guys connect
at a high level collegiate program and then they wind
up on the same team, like, there's that adjustment period
you have. You have a built in confidence in that
person already. I mean, you and I have been working
together for years, almost seventeen years. Every time if we

(01:13:58):
start somewhere new together, there's the built in chemistry. That's
That's one thing we don't need to worry about. Community
people and people could tell when one person is working
with a person he never worked with before, you know,
just because they thought it would be good on paper.
I heard them talking about Gronk and Tom Brady today
during that otherwise. By the way, our buddy market us

(01:14:20):
up and said, is that a top five exciting moment
in Jets history? Just because it happened at a Jets game?
That's funny. But now they were just they were talking
about how Tom and Gronk in their tutty connection. They
they have that that chemistry that they know where each
other are gonna be. They have that trust. And I

(01:14:42):
just think that for being so young in the NFL,
Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase built on that at l
s U. So they've been playing longer than than we
really feel. You know, on Fox going over weeks seventeen,
if you just joined us, you know, we talked about
the Bengals over the Chiefs. Joe Burrow, what is seventy
one yards in the past two weeks? Well, hasn't that

(01:15:05):
been the COMU? Hasn't that been the thought for the
Chiefs all along? Like if you could being a shootout
with them, you have a chance to win close game.
You have an offense like young Cincinnati, you could go
back and forth with Patrick Mahomes Burrow. I think that's
the second highest in two weeks ever, Like that's the

(01:15:27):
kind of numbers of this guy's putting up now. Uh
and believe it or not, Dak Prescott I think is
the first. He's number one, but he had four hundred
forty six yards four touchdowns. Today we talked about the Raiders,
Danny g stoked about that beating the Colts, which had
a question about the Cardinals, because you always downplay the Cardinals.
They beat the Cowboys. That was a bit of a
surprise today, right, they did it with no James Conner.

(01:15:51):
Is that does that change your mind of how good
they are? I mean, I guess. I guess we'll see
because I expect that if the forty Niners win next week.
This is relevant to your question. If the forty Niners
win next week and they beat the Rams, which is
a tough battle, forty Niners are no shoeing for the playoffs.
I gotta beat the Rams or get some help. If

(01:16:14):
they beat the Rams, the Rams would drop to a
wild card. If Arizona beats Seattle, do you follow that?
If Arizona beat Seattle, which you're assuming they will, you're
assuming but also showing that they're not just rolling over.
They're not rolling over. And Russell Wilson played pretty hard today.
Metcalf would with some nice catches. But the games in Arizona,

(01:16:37):
not that that makes that big of a difference. But
if Arizona wins at home versus Seattle and the forty
Niners beat the Rams, then the Rams dropped to the
five seed. Cardinals are a home three seed, and guess
who they would host the first wild card weekend? Forty
Niners at Cardinals. So I guess we'll say, as a fanboy,

(01:16:59):
how you feel? And you know, as a fanboy who's
been taking a dump on the Cardinals all year, I
beg for my fort to play the Cardinals round one. Yeah,
but you don't want them to make you eat your words.
You guys gave them no credit all year, but again
they did slump. Well, hey, um, what's going down week

(01:17:19):
eighteen to the NFL? A couple of things to look
forward to and where we stand with the NFL playoff situation.
We get to that next right here on Coldino Enrich twenties,
Zip twenty Zip Green Bay over the Vikings. It's Cavino
and Rich with Spot on Fox Sports Radio, Week seventeen,

(01:17:44):
eight nine nine on Fox. Do you have any takeaways?
Anything you want to talk about? The big story, The
big controversy is Antonio Brown. We discussed that. We have
a full squad today. Danny g Ralph, Irvin, Alex Tisher.
Thank you guys for all your feedback. Big Smoothie, Big
Smoothies in the house that is that is a new
nixt Smoothie, Big SMOOTHI Big Smoothie. Um. I'm looking at

(01:18:10):
some of the Week eighteen matchups and how that will
affect Week one of the playoffs, and I don't think
anyone has an answer yet because I don't think the
NFL's announced anything, but Danny said they haven't. Week eighteen.
They're gonna be throwing some Saturday games at us. They
keep talking about, and I mean not to uh, not

(01:18:32):
to you know, be the bummer here, but you know,
any Saturday game is gonna be garbage because they're not
gonna put They're not gonna put a game of significance
capno on Saturday. So they're gonna spread out some games
and they'll say, all right, we'll give you a a couple
of Saturday, you know, some Saturday action, but they're not
going to give anyone a game on Saturday if the
result of that game will impact something that happens with

(01:18:56):
playoff implications on Sunday. You know what I'm saying, Like,
if they play, they're not gonna put the Saints Falcons
on Saturday, because let's say the Falcons win, then the
forty Niners rams becomes sort of irrelevant. They've left it
open for that. Yeah, so they're gonna any game that
has importance will be on the Sunday docket. So if

(01:19:16):
you look at what game might be on Saturday, because
I know the NFL and listen, I love the NFL
is my favorite sport. But they're really pushing this doublehead
or Saturday Sunday. And don't get me wrong, I'll love
it because it'll just be something to gamble on and
have fun and watch on Saturday. But you know you're
probably gonna get on Saturday, no offense, probably gonna get
like Packers Lions or Panthers from Bucks, I don't know,

(01:19:45):
Washington Giants. You know, like games that you know the
teams are either locked in or have no chance. Oh,
Steelers Ravens. You can see Big Bend on Saturday one
last time. Right, Like I'm just saying, some of these
games you gotta see on Saturday. They have an yet,
but I doubt they'll be the games we're all excited about.

(01:20:05):
And if they do not make, so I feel about
Tomorrow night's game. See if they do not make next
Sunday Night's game. The Chargers Raiders for the flex. It's
a major fail because that game is the game of
the week. We'll get to this end more coven on
Rich on Fox Sports Radio. Hang tight, Yeah, that's us,

(01:20:28):
that's us, Steve Cavino, Rich Davis, what is forty Niner?
Jammie's on and a spot along with Danny g the producer,
rounph Irvin, Alex Ti Shirt. Thank you guys for all
the feedback. At Covino and Rich, I mean big smoothie,
Big smoothie, Big smoothie on the ones two Big Smoothie.
I'm at Steve Cavino. If you want to see my
studily picture I posted for New Year's You know what

(01:20:50):
I felt like, Rich, I felt like everyone was having
more fun than me. Everyone was living their best life.
Hob novin boozing and smoothing really funny with spreading, Oh Macron,
and I'm banging pots and pans with my daughter. So
I felt the need to post a picture of myself
other people, not pots and pants. No, no, no, no,
no other things. Yeah at Rich Davis, but thanks again

(01:21:13):
for all your feedback and hanging out with us. Were
on Patreon Monday through Thursday. Patreon dot com, slash Cavino
and Rich. But one of the highlights of our week
is hanging out here on Fox Sports Radio. And we
had a lot of fun filling into during the holidays. Um,
and it's good to be past the the Dave Matthews
of the holiday season, right, Happy New Years? Yeah? Yeah,

(01:21:35):
we're happy to be out of that grassy knoll? And Rich,
how long until we're done saying Happy New Year? Because
I know Larry David has a take on that. Yeah,
I know. I think you could say Monday to people
who work and then call it quick maybe after the week,
the end of the week. I don't know. The old
grindstone as they say, tomorrow, I have a great day

(01:21:56):
at work. Would you watch kids go back to school?
Would you watch on New Year's Eve? You know, I
have a gripe with this. You know they always call
it the New Year's rock and Eve. It's history. I
get it year this year, fifty of the year I
grew up watching it, did Clark Legend. But there's nothing
rocking about it. You know, I'm a guy who really
loves rock. I'm on Essex and Turbo every night, I'm

(01:22:17):
on bone Yard, I'm on Lithium all week. I mean,
slow down, rock star and seriously, but there's nothing very
rock about Seacrest, the brands. At least we branded or something.
There's nothing like rocking at all. You know. It was
the least rocking New York New Years Pop. I don't know.
Did you see the did you see the engagement at
the end making out with that was humiliated. I know

(01:22:41):
they have to put the theatrics out there, toptics, optics
for for folks not to spread the bid, but when
two people are kissing with a mask on, my wife
and I looked at each other like, yo, are we
high right now? Or these people kissing mask? It's the
lamest way to big Hey. The best one was Miley

(01:23:03):
Cyrus and Pete Davidson. Watched some of that three women
kissing each other. It was lesbians on steroids, wild man.
You know the funniest thing I saw as a meme afterward,
and it said that Pete Davidson looks like beetlejuice. Yeah,
that was funny because I agreed. Miley Cyrus could not sing.

(01:23:24):
She was just shouting, and then she helped her top
come off and then walked off the stage. And then
it was a strange rendition of her song with the
backup singers just singing, sorry, did I miss something? Because
I didn't want to stick around have a question. I
was not. I was very whelmed with the performances, not underwhelmed,
not overwhelm. I was just whelmed with a lot of it. Right,
I'm watching I'm trying to be positive, trying to happy

(01:23:46):
New Year vibe. That's actually actual audio of me party.
Where's the pots and pants? Did they actually flash it
back to like old live performances like usher? Right? Wasn't
was that new? Or was that from like a few years? Well?
They did something with and I was like, why year?

(01:24:10):
I was so confused that they sometimes they pre tape things.
I don't know. I think they're like, let's go back
to the legendary performance from like, you know, ten years ago.
They did scale down a lot this year, so it's
very possible that as filler they used old performances. A
spot is right too about how they filmed things earlier
in the year, because I was at the I Heart

(01:24:31):
Theater in Burbank, California. It was a July concert. We're
all in there, and at the end of the taping
they said, by the way, we're gonna show one of
these songs on the New Year's Eve the Special and
on NBC, And we're like, all right, So they pass
out all this party gear. How is that way you
got your classes? By the way, you can take them

(01:24:53):
off now, Dan, No, no, no, what was what was
real cheap about it? All? They made everybody give the
party favors back after after you put your COVID hands
on him, Everyone give me your party favorites back. And
by the way, um, I think it's just a reflection
of society where we don't want like polished happiness anymore.

(01:25:13):
Like that's what Seacrest provides, right, Like, Hey, welcome New
Year's Eve. Times Square, we're counting down the Soborski crystals,
the ball. He's doing all this. Meanwhile, people are more
entertained by Pete Davidson, Miley Cyrus doing their thing. People
are more entertained by drunk Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper,
who I flipped to them a few times. Hi, By
the way, did you see how but they disrespected Arnold Pinieta.

(01:25:37):
You know who that is, Arna, Arnold Pinta. I did not.
He's the lead singer of Journey. Yeah, oh no, Andy
Cohen went off that it's not not Steve. If not
Steve Perry, it's not Journey, it is I hate to
break it. And you know what, he's got the voice
of an angel. That guy perfect. They found the perfect replacement,

(01:25:58):
and that's in naturally it's not him like trying to
sound like Steve Perry. I was impressed because I, like
I told you, I was very whelmed by all the performances.
When they said he had Journey, I was kind of
like Journey, like, can we have like a more relevant band, please?
And I was very impressed by this guy that if
it was more relevant, you'd say, who's this? But again,

(01:26:20):
Rock and Eve, why, I like, bring out Corner or something? Corn?
Do you think anyone wants to say Corn? Rock and
Eve's trying to like seventy five year old guys up
there on stage. That doesn't get me fired up? For two?
Who on Earth I want to see him? I'm just thinking, hey,
bring out Metallica. They just celebrated forty years Corn. You
don't bring him out for the super Bowl, bring him
out for New Year's Eve. Metallic, by the way, is

(01:26:41):
the Corner? I'm sorry? Are they not legendary? Is corning,
You're smoothie. There's no well this should be That's my point.
I knew Covino was from Bakersfield. Yeah, I'm representing Jonathan Davis.
I get I listen, Corn's got good songs. But if
you think their mass appeal for New Year's Rock and Eve,
I mean, I guess Journey it looked like like old
man Winter was up there playing guitar, Get out of

(01:27:02):
here with that. I like it. Its legendaries classic. I
was impressed, but like, who wants to see them? Who
wants to see them? My My point also was the
unpolished stuff seemed to be getting the social media buzz,
which just shows that we love dumb stuff, right, It's
like that's why we're here. It's like Pete Davidson, uh

(01:27:24):
acting fool, Miley Cyrus losing her top that gets ratings,
baby gold gold, and then you get Andy Cohen doing
shots talking about how the mayor stinks, how Journey sucks
with that Steve Perry, They're they're like being all flirty
and drunk and and uh do you see that? CNN
even was allowing tweets to go on their screen with
fake names. That was odd, like bend Over. I won't.

(01:27:47):
I can't say the more harsh ones, but they were.
They were posting fake names on the on the lower
third of CNN. I'm like, you know, they've gotta be
doing this on purpose or else someone's dumb. Yeah, I
didn't notice that. So some of the ekaways, not only
of Week seventeen, but the weak as performances. Can you
give one last time? Can you get footage of Cavino

(01:28:08):
on New Year's Eve? Thank you, thank you, Alex, Happy
New Year. I'm not gonna lie. You said that was
more exciting the potato drop in Idaho. And by the way,
that's a real thing. Copino's girlfriends from Boise and in
downtown Boise they drop a freaking potato. Yeah, and then

(01:28:28):
fireworks happened. It's more exciting. Yeah, it's it's a real thing.
A few years ago, I walked into the living room
and I'm waiting to see this Rock and Eve and
they're watching this potato on like public access and what
is this And it's a real thing. Yeah, Like thousands
of people show up and they're all stoked about it,
and yeah, it's pretty well. And then and then the

(01:28:49):
confettis s trives. Yea, the Giant Potato drop. It's the
great potato everybody, and now people think we're joking when
we talk about we're not joking. They have it on
a big crane. By the way, I want you, I

(01:29:09):
want you to want me use your your very little
cloud we have. Is there a way that you could
like Grand Marshal or something? The potato dropping boys in
one year Camno from Fox Sports rating like, can you
be important? I think can you press the button that
like squirts out the hour creepers? I think, honestly, I
think we can make that happen. Yeah, I think we can.

(01:29:33):
So anyway, guys, hope you had a great weekend. We
hope you enjoyed your New Year's. Happy New Year's from
Copino and Rich. We hope you enjoyed your your Twilight
Zone marathon's, your Cobra Kai, whatever you're watching, whatever you're doing,
your football games, your college football. My sister was at
that Ohio State game. Yeah, if you want to, If
you want to throw it back to a couple of
weeks ago, Ralph Irvin, do you remember Cavino's sister was

(01:29:55):
debating whether or not she should buy tickets for Utah,
Ohio State. It looked like they at least one to
a hell of a game. Huh. She bought tickets for
my brother in law's birthday. She overpaid. We speculated, right,
But it turns out like you said, that game was
bonkers to keep it clean, bonkers bonkers, I tell you
really was it was. I was going at score. My god, man,

(01:30:17):
you know what Ralph has said, all that money, they're
gonna lose. Ralph was right, though I don't know if
he's in his booth area, but Ralph, you were saying
how Utah was going to show up big time and
apparently comming you were saying the crowd was very Utah,
very Utah according to my brother in law. Yeah, but
it was still a win, yeah, and nice comeback win.
It was State. My sister came back. My sister doesn't

(01:30:41):
watch football at all, right, she knows about as much
college football as I do. She's like, it was such
an amazing time. You know, they loved the parade, the
whole atmosphere and just had a blast that. I mean, listen,
your sister lucked out. Because when you pay top dollar
for that one experience, whether it be a Super Bowl,
world Series, Stanley Cup, NBA Finals. If you're going to

(01:31:02):
see your team and they win in traumatic fashion, it's
so worthy. Yeah, so I was happy for them. One day,
maybe I'll feel that one day. Maybe one day, one day. Well,
the story today Cavino, Antonio Brown, and it that that
drama and unfortunate scenario has overshadowed a lot of great

(01:31:23):
NFL games that took place today. Yeah, a lot of
great a lot of great games. Cincinnati, Kansas City. That
that was. That was bonkers again, speaking of bonkers, Burrows
Joe Burrows performance in that game, and you know how
to mean a lot. You saw him, you know, smoking
cigars in the locker room at the end of the game.
On a personal note, just to beat Patrick Mahomes. I'm

(01:31:45):
sure it felt good, you know, but first confidence for often,
I mean, made you forget that he was injured last year.
Guys having a season. Man, he wants people to notice,
especially the past few weeks DGS, Raiders and Cult. I
gotta know how on the edge of your seat were
you because that was a back and forth game that
that there was a few lead changes in the second half.

(01:32:06):
It really Yeah, yesterday I was on the air with
Jeff Schwartz, and he is a Chiefs homer, and he
predicted his Chiefs were gonna beat the Bengals by two scores.
And then he told me that my Raiders. Yeah, He's
like no because that He's like, they would have to
win by like it would have to be like a
seventeen to fourteen game. He's like, I just don't see

(01:32:28):
that happening. The Raiders can't score enough points. And I
had heard that a lot this past week, and it's true.
The Raiders in the red zone have not been very
good this season. Uh, missing Darren Waller big time the
past five weeks. I said on the air yesterday, I
said Renfro would have to come up huge and man
that last throw to Renfro and he just he got

(01:32:48):
his foot touched, Otherwise he would have been in the
end zone. And he was so cool about it. It
wound up helping the Raiders because they were able to
run the clock down and then march Dan Carlson out there,
who's been money man him, Renfro on the defensive side,
Denzel Perryman, Nate Hobbes all m v p s of
the season. The turmoil the Raiders have gone through this season.

(01:33:11):
Has there been any other NFL team that has gone
through that much? And and then there they are playing
a play in game basically on Sunday or Saturday. It
better be Sunday night, right, Yeah? I think so, As
Cal Hurt said on on Fox Sports Radio, like what
an amazing sales pitch Car has moving forward, Like, look

(01:33:32):
what he's done with all this drama? Will he stay?
Danny J giving Car staying? I think it has a
lot to do with what's going to happen with the coach.
They're already saying Mayok will be back for another season,
and that's fair. He he deserves that, and he handled everything,
you know, not only on the field, but like with
the press, you know, so graciously. He's done a really
great drop and they would have beat him even more convincingly.

(01:33:54):
They got some the Colts got some cheap touchdowns like
that tip in the end zone. Yeah, that was that
was just lucky. That's even happened. They should have knocked that.
They got to give the Raiders defense a lot of
credit because really the only bad spot all day was
that drive they gave up to the Colts right before halftime.
That was pathetic. Gus Bradley played soft coverage and they

(01:34:14):
let went smarch right down the field. So I was
a little nervous. I'm not gonna lie. When Car through
that second interception, I threw my phone across the room. Uh.
In the fourth quarter though, when it looked like the
Raiders were going to get the ball last, you know,
Cars money when he has the ball last, he was
and I yeah, when they crossed the fifty, I'm like, y'all,

(01:34:34):
Danny g has got to be so excited right now. Well, hey,
Raiders in and win. So yeah, the playoffs started a
week early for Chargers and Raiders fans because it's in
and you know, that's must watch. That's must watch. And
if they don't flex that to Sunday night, but then again,
you know what, what if they did make that the
Saturday game of the week. We're still waiting to see
what the NFL is doing with this whole Saturday Sunday

(01:34:55):
doubleheader action. So did we hear anything. We'll let you
guys know. But all the possible scenarios Rich you know,
you're shown me there, it's very confusing. Makes my head spin.
The least exciting teams that could possibly make it long shots.
Ravens not exciting to me, they're just slumping, looking terrible
and get in. I agree with you, Like, what a waste,
what a waste of a spot. Yeah, I honestly nothing

(01:35:18):
against the Saints, just you know, they're not exciting. I
don't think that, and they're not gonna go anywhere. Yeah, right,
Like you could argue that the forty Niners or Eagles
could even make a little noise and have some fun
in the playoffs, where Saints to me, look like there
would be a quick one and done if they snuck in.
Now I know we got a break when we just
give shoutouts to two teams, the Rams, because they look

(01:35:39):
like trash for the whole first three quarters of that game.
Thirteen points in the fourth quarter. They beat the Ravens
by one en. You know that. But if you if
you had been watching that game, they Matthew Stafford doesn't
look doesn't look great. I hope he doesn't start looking
great next week against the Niners and the Eagles, who
again they play poorly in the first half. They were

(01:36:01):
down to Washington six seven in a game they needed,
and they outscored Washington thirteen nothing in the second half.
They won, by the way, on a last minute interception.
If you watch that game, Eagles fans were probably pooping
their pants because Heineke. They were driving, they were in
the red zone. They were in the red zone. Well,
what am I gonna call it? On Fox? I have
to call poop? They were in the red zone and

(01:36:22):
Eagles came up with a big pick, so they have
it shot outs. How about Kevin us Crystal? Let's read
the twitter feedback next More coven on Rich on Fox
Football Sunday. Yeah, bringing in the new year, it's corn

(01:36:44):
everybody happy year. There's rocket. Oh you know it would
be more rocket. I guess you're right, Rich and Rich.
Oh yeah, they got new stuff coming out in February. Man,
that would have been cool to see them. I mean,
who was really rocking that you saw over the weekend.

(01:37:06):
Nobody anyway, I'm Cavino, that is Rich. Are you as
excited about the new Corners you were about the new
adele more excited? Rich more excited? Just ask so an
exciting week of football. We talked about Antonio Brown, we
talked about all the games. We even mentioned Cobra Kai. Yeah,

(01:37:31):
talked a little of everything. It's big Smoothie on the
ones and twos like big Smoothie. You need like a
psychic little smoothie, you see, Yeah, Big Smoothie and Little Smoothie.
And yeah Alex is on the ones and two is
Ralph Irvan Danny g is here. But you know, some
of the takeaways were that Antonio Brown was injured. That

(01:37:54):
was the scoop for from Greg Ahman, who covers the
Buccaneers here on Fox Sports Radio. Dan Ire He says
Antonio Brown's ankle was hurting him. Bruce Arians wanted to
put him in. Aby said, no, no, you know, I'm
sitting out. My ankle hurts. And Arians said, if your
ankle hurts, you're If you're out, then you're out. And

(01:38:17):
I guess he didn't want to have it. That was
just it triggered him. That was it out. Then he
dramatics took his clothes off, ran through the end zone,
hyping up the crowd at a giant stadium where the
Jets play. It's something we've never seen, right, what that's what.
That's what. It's always giant stadium in my mind. And

(01:38:39):
we had fun with all the memes and he had
fun text and all your friends like Yo, hey, b
what is he doing? You know, it kind of makes
himself look bad, makes Tom Brady look bad. Brady vouch
for him. But what we came to the conclusion of
here is is that Tom Brady sort of handled it
better than Bruce Arians did. Yeah, because the reality is,

(01:38:59):
you know, there's so many jokes and memes, and you know,
we are not above laughing at these things and pass
them around to our friends. But the truth is, Antonio Brown,
there's something deeper, right, I mean, it's a mental health issue,
and you would want the NFL at some point to
make a statement saying like, listen, uh, we're gonna make
sure Antonio Brown gets help if he needs it, and
you know, say all the right things, because the only

(01:39:20):
person sort of saying all the right things right now,
Tom Brady. Take a listen. Disappointed? Are you? Bruce Arian
said he's no longer a buck? Yeah, I mean that's
um obviously a difficult situation. And you know, I think
we all want you know, him to to you know,
just I think everybody should find, you know, hopefully do
what they can to help him in ways that you know,

(01:39:41):
he really needs it. And you know, we all love him.
We care about him deeply. You know, we want to
see him be at his best and you know, unfortunately
won't be with our team, but we have a lot
of friendships that that will last. And again, I think
the most important thing about football the relationships with their
your friends and your teammates, and they go beyond the field.
And I think everyone should should be very compassionate and
empathetic towards um some very difficult things that are happening.

(01:40:05):
As Tom Brady on a b handled like a true leader,
and you have to imagine that he's probably concerned but
also really disappointed. That doesn't help the team by any means, right, Uh?
And then you see how differently Bruce arians handled it.
Take a listen. We want to talk about that last drive,
but I have to start with can you tell us

(01:40:27):
what happened to Antonio Brown? Did he quit? I've never
seen a guy leave a field like that? And is
this the last strike for him? He is no longer
a buck? All right, that's the end of the story.
Let's talk about the guys that we're not doing one
the game. You know, we as as fans, rich we
could all understand the frustration, right, but probably should have
handled it better as a leader as the representative of

(01:40:51):
the organization. Yeah, you're frustrated. Yeah, but you see the
difference between how Brady handled it and how he handled it.
And here's some interesting feedback to from downtown. Jason Brown,
who hits us up on Twitter at Covino en rich
um Arians, looks bad as head coach because he knew
who Antonio Brown is but gave into Brady's request to

(01:41:12):
have him play. Brady looks worse because he vouched for
him twice and still got burned. Twenty plus years in
the league. He should have known better, but winning a
ring was more important. No a b No, Godwin Burnette
is injured, gonna be a rough playoff start to say
the least. I'm Jason Brown. I've got something for you, guys. Uh.

(01:41:33):
Jenna Lane, who's a box reporter with ESPN just ten
minutes ago, tweeted that she messaged with Arian. He says
he threw Brown out after Brown refused to go in,
so he he told him, yeah, you're out. He see.
He admits it that he wasn't sure why Brown didn't
want to go in, so Brown so Bruce Arians saying

(01:41:56):
in the last hour theoretically, she figure she wouldn't have
held onto this that he didn't know why Antonio Brown
was injured, which makes speculate a little more as to why,
which is like why don't you know that? Yeah, okay, yeah,
some interesting stuff. So that's like the rest of the story.
That's the backstory, And essentially it's confirming the other reporting

(01:42:18):
that he would that Antonio Brown was told to get
out by Bruce Arians. Yeah, that's and you know what,
now we're seeing a you know, a little clear picture.
I'm not saying he has to handle Antonio Brown with
with kids, kids clubs, but Antonio Brown may have been
like he's not before if you remember, Antonio Brown has
done the whole like you know, I'm I'm a little

(01:42:39):
banged up, I don't want to practice. Remember that was
a story in Pittsburgh years ago. Oh, in his defense,
a veteran knows his body right, he knows how to play.
So if it was a hostile like well, if you're
not gonna play, get out of here, and Antonio Brown
may have just flown off the handle. Is that do
we feel like that's the puzzle we're putting together. Yeah,
Antonio Brown just reacted in a you know, an extreme

(01:43:02):
way to Bruce Arian saying like, you know, if you're
not going in the game, now, I think you're done.
And you know, I think we saw both sides sort
of overreact. Yeah, well just react. You know, it doesn't
help the Bucks. Who you know, you could say, what
does football matter in the big picture, but you know
it's it's a game and there's a lot on the line,

(01:43:23):
and Antonio Brown could have very much been a help
to that team entering the playoffs, especially with the injuries
Tampa has. So Hey, you know what, I guess it
was gonna happen eventually, and as we just says, a
very very costly retirement. I guess, well, hopefully a B,
as Tom Brady said so eloquently, hopefully a B gets

(01:43:44):
the help he needs. If that's the case. Emmett in Olympia,
you're on what's up? Buddy, Kevin on Rich? What's up? Guys?
How are you doing? What? Anybody? What's up? Happy to you? Happy?
Do you? Guys? You know? My thing with Antonio Brown
is this, um, he has the guy's mental health issues
and all this. But the thing that's weird is if

(01:44:06):
if this is true, that Bruce arians didn't know that
you were injured, Like our guy Ralphie was saying why,
like why, Like that's your coach. I think he should
know if you have an injury. And then I have
one more thing too with Ralph did you say you
think the Titans are going to make it far in
the playoffs? What I said was the Titans are that

(01:44:26):
team that you don't know why they're winning, but they
just keep winning. And that's the most dangerous team you
can play. Yeah, that's and Rabel gets a lot of
credit for that. And as the Tennessee fans said earlier,
I don't know Ralph, of you or Danny j if
someone could back up what he said, but Derrick Henry
ready for the playoffs in a couple of weeks is
going to be He's going to be ready game changer. Yeah.

(01:44:47):
Because that and and by the way, the fact that
who are they playing next week? Let me look at
my little robot calculator for the playoff scenarios. Yeah. The
report there locally in Tennessee was that he's been chomping
at the bit to get back. They've been holding him
for the playoffs. Well, you know, so he's back with
the team. No, who's off the team? Rich Joe Ghatto
of the Impractical Jokers, he's no longer with the squad.

(01:45:08):
You know what, that really makes me sad. Hold that
thought for one second. I just want didn't there. I
just want to tell you guys that you know. And
by the way, I'm glad you said that, because that
brings up another thought. But just to round it all out, Tennessee, Tennessee, Tennessee.
Who I said that extra week with the bye game
of harshes that lost. By the way, the Kansas City

(01:45:30):
lost today to the Bengals. Mix mixes up the whole
a f C comp you know, because now instead of
Kansas City having the by, Tennessee has the bye. So
it's one more week of Derrick Henry and going into
week eighteen, you'd say, well, it's no guarantee, but guess
who Tennessee is playing Houston. So they said they have
a simple week eighth game of horseshoes for real, So

(01:45:55):
they have it um and yeah, com you know, I
did see what he just said. The Impractic el Jokers
for lifetime bros. That have all made us laugh. Joe
Ganno is not playing next week? Yeah, what's the what
did he run through the end zone with the shirt off?
He's I'm just giving you a random headline, guys, just
trying to tie that was an impractical joke. He has

(01:46:19):
your piece in yo. Now that Joe's out, all right,
now take off your shirt. All right, you're gonna run
through the end zone all right now, Hype up the crowd.
I saw that meme. It's great. It was something that
the Impractical Jokers did for Comedy Central. They got a
B two two quit oh before before the end of

(01:46:40):
the game. No, this is another side story. Rich. If
you guys like the Impractical Jokers like we do, We've
we've inter read all those guys. They're great. They're super funny.
They're really funny. You know, they're the show that every
group of friends thinks that, oh man, we should have
done that. But you're not as funny as these guys.
You just really not. You're just really not. They're really

(01:47:02):
funny and they're really good guys. Seems that Joe Gatto,
I say Ghatto, you say Gatto, I say Ghatto. I
went to high school with a lot of Ghattos. Shout
out to dug Gatto. Gatto. No no Gatto. What is
that Joe Gatto is To me, he's like the ring leader.

(01:47:23):
He is the main guy in my mind. In my mind,
everyone probably has their favorite it's like a boy band, right,
but he is the ring leader to me. Would you
like Joey Fat? I was always a joyful Tone guy
and a Joe Gatto guy. Um. Joe Gatto says he's
leaving the Impractical Jokers because he's getting a divorce and

(01:47:46):
he wants to focus on his family, being a which parent, father,
which to me is like so opposite, Like I understand.
Do you know what this shows me? Rich that he
must be really financially Okay, yeah, I'm fine, which and
I'm sure he is fine. But still, like I would say,
most people probably try to step their game up because

(01:48:08):
you're cutting your income and half when you're getting a
divorce most of the time, right, So for me, when
I got a divorce, I'm like, oh man, I've gotta
work even harder now and do extra to make ends
meet if I want to live the same quality of comfort.
He's saying, I'm gonna find other ways to do my thing.
But I'm done with the Practical Jokers and focusing on

(01:48:30):
my kids. That's wild. Yeah, So it doesn't make you think,
you know, when when your core guy leaves, who picks
up the slack. I'm gonna think about that while we
go to ralph for trend thing. I'm gonna think about
bands or teams where the core guy left and that
was just it. Think about that. It's not like you

(01:48:51):
haven't already talked about it. We're already talking about journey.
They're looking, they're still doing it, and they had to
go to the Philippines to find a replacement. That's one
hell of a replacement. Man. Uh, they can use a
replacement quarterback in Minnesota, but that's not happening. Good Dillon
fighting his way middle to the end for the text down.

(01:49:18):
My goodness, he took the Minnesota defense into the end zone.
Pen delivers a dagger Lane Laravy with the dagger. On
the Packers Radio network, A J. Dillon the four yard
touchdown run. Green Bay adds a thirty seven yard Mason
Crosby field goal and it's now thirty to three green
Bay three two to play. In the third quarter, Aaron

(01:49:39):
Rodgers two yards passing two touchdowns, hundred and thirty one
those yards going to Davante Adams who has nine catches
and get this with this win, Yeah, you don't have
to see Aaron Rodgers until the twenty three or twenty
fourth of January. He can rest toe and everything else. Yeah,
I'm looking at Aaron Rodger stats and I know he

(01:50:01):
has you know, eight hundred less yards and Brady or Herbert,
Derek carp and then again he missed the game because
of COVID. But his interception to touchdown ratio is insane, Ralph,
have you ever seen anything like this in your life? Now?
As of right now, is Barrow up there too after
his past few weeks. I'll take it, I'll take a look.
But the interceptions is just it's just insane. I mean,

(01:50:24):
like four thirty three touchdowns to four interceptions insane. Yeah,
no doubt, no doubt. Uh So it looks like Green
Bay is going to wrap up the top spot in
the NFC. Of course Dallas had a thought about it
that well, that ended when they felt Arizona. The Cowboys

(01:50:45):
still going to take the NFC East, but they're not
going to be that number, that top seed. They fall
to Arizona. Only forty five yards rushing for the Cowboys
in that game on the A f C side, Cincinnati
sitting in the driver's seat, or make that tenant to
Tennessee in the driver's seat. Thirty four to three. They
beat Miami. That's because Cincinnati was a thirty one winner

(01:51:07):
over Kansas City earlier in the day. Right now in
the NBA, they're at the half at the Crypto dot
Com Arena. Uh. The Lakers had a gen point lead.
It's now down to three fifty seven fifty four. They
lead Minnesota in that contest fourteen points. Lebron James fourteen points,
Malik Monk to do the damage as we sent it

(01:51:29):
back now and Rich, thank you, Ralph, thank you. Man
by the Joe Burrow, I'm just bringing up your dude.
The stats have improved a lot. Keep him on. He
got injured last year, played ten games, but for a rookie,
pretty impressive that he had thirteen touchdowns, five picks. That
wasn't usually you look at Trevor Lawrence. I'll look that

(01:51:50):
up in a second. It's pretty sad looking, um. But
this year thirty four Tutty's fourteen interceptions. Okay, thirty four
and four team, that's freaking awesome. Still really good yards
guys a study stud stud yards the past two weeks.

(01:52:11):
So we mentioned this Joe Gatto guy. Hold on, before
you do that, I want you to guess. Don't look
look look look away for a second, because you know
what I know, Lawrence. I mean, I feel bad at
dudes always scrambling and throwing getting I don't want to
I don't want to put you on the spot, so
I won't make you guess too much. But I mean,
over twenty picks, it's got to be right, I would say,
over twenty Trevor Lawrence can't be good. It can't. Like

(01:52:34):
I said, we said it earlier, like it's unfortunate that
the buzz online, which has no Clouder credibility, you know,
the online buzz amongst our friends is like, is this
guy a bust? Ten touchdowns, seventeen intersections. I think I
don't know if that's updated, but you're right, it was
close to ten and seventeen. Trevor Lawrence not not looking

(01:52:56):
like the guy people thought he would look like. So
thinking camps on real quick with this Joe Gano story
that we talked about, and practical jokers are talking about
the impractical jokers. There's four guys right on the core
for one guy leaves, Are there other examples of where
they actually carried on and did well, picked up the
slack with at him, or really replaced them and didn't

(01:53:18):
miss a step. Who is that? You's Yankee to leave
the core for? I think Pettit the Pettit leaving you
got in the Yankees went to Houston, that's right, But
then he came back. He came back. You know, think
about it. Timberlake leaves the boy band, they're never the same.
They're done. Yeah, they never even continue. Yeah, they're done
at that point. But there's other examples, like you know,

(01:53:40):
Bond Scott, Brian Johnson a c d C. Continues David
Lee Roth. I mean you could talk Sammy Hagar to
continue TV shows, to TV Charlie Sheen leaves Two and
a Half Men and they put Ashton Kutr in there.
You know, it doesn't It doesn't have the same vibe
to go on without someone to go on and be successful.

(01:54:00):
To replace is one thing. To go on without is another.
You know, like like Ralph said, we saw a journey,
we saw him in the years he even want to
I don't want to be spoiler guy but it's it's
been years, dude. But I'll tell you what when uh,
what's his favor? Wasn't on Homeland anymore, Damian Lewis. Lewis,
I was like, yeah, I'm not watching the show with you.

(01:54:21):
I was done when the rest of the cast is great.
He's the main guy. When the main guys gone. It's
very rare that you it's not the same. It's very
rare that people pick up the slack and you're still
as interested. So you know, we'll wrap with that. Put
your thinking kept on, like Commino said, hopefully it's a
nice goopoline Like Ralph Evan. Hey when when when Jordan

(01:54:43):
was gone, Scotty Pippen picked up the slack? Yeah, but
he was already know. I wonder, though, what is your
best example sports TV music where one of the main
people left and they went on without him more Covin
on Rich next on Fox Sports Radio. I think that
makes you go, m is this Arnold, Arnel Pinetta or

(01:55:06):
Steve perry Man. All right, Well, life goes on sometimes
without the main guy. That's kind of what we're talking about.
Caveno and Rich, Hey, Rich, you're part of a morning
show on S x M that went on without you
and I thought you were the main guy. That is true.
We're Caveno and Rich. You may know us from s

(01:55:28):
x M. If you're listening on the I Heart app
What's Up. If you're listening in the future Fox Sports
Radio dot Com, definitely add the podcast. Look us up
at Coveno and Rich spot us here. Big Smoothie Alex
Tisher's here thanks to Ralph part of our Sunday Funday guys.
I love how Alex put a whole list of the

(01:55:48):
ingredients to his Big Smoothie at Covenotree. Thanks. We just
retweeted it. Fun time, Alex. Hey, anything come to mind
for you? As as you know, we're talking about Joe
Gatto from The Technical Jokers. Everybody loves this stupid show, right,
It's like mindless TV that you can put on and
no one's really offended. But it's not appointment watching. But
you've seen it a million times, like you never seek

(01:56:10):
it out, but you've watched it times. In our opinion,
the main guy's leaving, So any examples come to mind
where in sports or music where the main guy leaves
but they continue on with success. That's tough. It is
right because there's there's only a few examples. I think.
So Roseanne got booted and they still did the Connors,
and I guess it does well enough that they keep it.

(01:56:30):
But I bet it's better with Roseanne. I'd imagine somehow
they stayed afloat though, so I give him credit for that,
but I don't hear anyone. John Goodman's a star. I
feel like only music though, that would work really well.
There's still only a few examples because you can think
about sublimean Rome that's still pretty good. Yeah, um yeah,
but not Lambert did very well. That's a pretty good answer.

(01:56:54):
I do agree with that because he's he's a talented
I do think that's like twenty years later because I'm like, yeah,
we got you know for re but it's so few
and far between. What about David Lee Roth, Oh, Sammy Hagar? Yeah,
I mentioned so many people love Van Hagar. I'm not
a fan, but yeah, absolutely they had great success. They

(01:57:14):
had more commercial success with Hagar. Believe have you guys
seen a TV show called Spartacus? Yeah, oh yeah, so
the third season the guy dies, Yeah in real life
when they replace it, that's right, and it was still
good and they replaced the ants on Oh I got it,
I got fresh Prince of Bear and we got sport
is Fox Sports Radio. Right when when went went down

(01:57:35):
for the Eagles, Nick Foles, main guy went down, they
continued on with Adam and one do you want to go?
You want to go old school East Coast style? Sure,
But like like I said, there's rare moments. Who's your
favorite blonde guy growing up that gave you a stink
palm handshake? Oh? I was gonna say Johnny Lawrence a

(01:57:55):
k A Billy Zapka. But to answer your question, Phil
Hims can we don't swear as Phil Sims gave him
a stink handshake. He was super cool when we met him,
and he was very like BROI with us, which I appreciated.
But then, yeah, I mean I didn't. I wasn't gonna
call him out on Fox Sports Radio, Phil Sims, great guy.

(01:58:19):
Jeff Hustler. Jeff Hustetler won a Super Bowl. Hey, that's
a good answer, I mean right, I mean that sometimes
the main guy goes down sometimes. Uh oh, look at this, Um,
I don't know why I'm thinking. Atlanta Braves just won
the World Series. Who was out the whole year. Why
I'm Ronald Kona Jr. Right then he went down. He

(01:58:40):
went down. So the team play the World Series, the
team wins the World Series, and their young stud is
not there, so sometimes the show must go on, show
goes on. You know what I find interesting about the
Impractical Jokers though, Like they're friends. So why does he
have to announce that he's leaving his friends. Can't he
just say, hey, listen, man, I'm going to a lot
of personal stuff divorce. I gotta be there for my kids.
How about I just do like a few episodes here

(01:59:01):
and there, and you know, maybe I don't go on
tour with you guys. So I feel like there's more
to it, Like he wants to roll solo because he
is the main guy. How do you know, maybe maybe
the reason, maybe the reason is getting divorces because like
one of the other guys did hunting, you know what
I mean? Anyway, just a story I imagine a lot
of you guys like the Impractical Jokers, and then the
other big thing that we really didn't have time for
today because there's so much going on with Week seventeen

(01:59:22):
and Antonio Brown all the games is uh, this Jake
Paul Dana White drama. Jake Paul saying he's an advocate
for the UFC fighters who really don't get a lot
of great healthcare. They make twelve tho dollars a fight minimum.
He wants to raise the minium to fifty dollars, and
Dana White is calling him out on steroids and Jake
Paul's calling out Dana White on cocaine. But it's going

(01:59:45):
back and forth. Dana White was like, listen, if you
want to pay these guys, start your own federation bozoh yeah,
And he said, yeah, dude, just do that. Then. By
the way, O. J. Simpson just gave his take on
Antonio Brown on social media. If you want to see
that on your own time to the world. But he's
saying that he after every time everything Tom Brady did

(02:00:05):
for him, that he just totally disgraced everything. Alright, well, listen,
we'll see you guys next week. Until then, have a
great one. Fox Sports Radio Como Rich, I'll rive it there, baby,
see you in the promised Have a good night. Oh
Jane did it
