Speaker 1 (00:01):
Don't listen too sports. Oh, I am so pumped right now.
I know people in their cars driving home trying to
figure out if they like the game or not. Some
people out here in l A Pump Super Pump. We're
live from the West Side. We are Cavino en Rich.
We hope you're having a l A. Rams sort of night.

(00:21):
Seasons over Fox Football Sunday Funday over. As of now,
we have to look back and talk about everything we
saw tonight, everything from the halftime show to what's the
game of victim of something I'll explain I have. I
have a theory on how I think we all, deep
down inside feel about Super Bowl fifty six. Well, there's

(00:41):
also something that we need to keep in mind tonight.
Depending on the crowd you're with, sometimes you can watch
the dopest movie ever, right, depending who you're watching it with,
they can either add to the vibe or take away
from the vibe or distract you from the vibe. Right,
So people can have different impressions and opinions of the
game and halftime if they had no horse in the race.
Because I had no horse in the race. So I

(01:01):
have my opinions and my views, and they differ from Bobos.
Bobos is like yo, great game, Like yeah, Dad, Dad,
And I don't want to be the negative nor bertoe
about anything. I'm there's a winner. No, I'm really not
gonna it's just I'm gonna give my opinion. And again
it's fresh, like we just watched, it just happened. I'm

(01:23):
still sort of processing everything. I don't want to be
negative by anything. But I'll give you my true feelings
tonight and we'll get yours to at eight seven seven
nine on Foxes, Cavino enriched Steve Covino, Rich, David Spot,
the producer, Danny G. Bobo, Steve to say the whole
cruise here on Fox Sports Radio, let's FN go l
Let's go so observations. Right at the gate the Rock

(01:49):
does he give Michael Buffer run for his money on
hyping up a crowd? I mean, I thought the Rams
were doing it right with Buffer. Hold on, there's no
surprise that you know the Rock, Dwayne the Rock Johnson
could get a Crown hype. But he's no Michael Buffer.
He's no Bruce Buffer. Come off, stay in your lane.
They do what they do. When Michael Buffer does what

(02:11):
he does, it's an event, but Michael or Bruce Buffer,
they introduced the event. The rock is the events. What
I'm saying, it's too much. But on the microphone, I
think the rocker when he grabbed the mic into the whole,
he killed it. That was a great way to start.
The super Boys great. But he, like I said, it's

(02:31):
he's no Michael Buffer. He's good though, he's great. He's
the Rock. We're gonna talk about all the ins and
outs of the game, but I'm talking about all the
little observations as well. So coin toss happens the last
seven Super Bowls, whoever won the coin toss lost the game.
Make that eight in a row. Bengals win the coin

(02:53):
toss to hold any weight at all. Though other than
coincidence coincidence, it's hate seasons. But Bengals differ, Rams get
the bottle, start the game, and just like that, the
curse was on. I mean the curse of the coin.
It continues, it continues. I mean, it's an observation for sure.
Next observation which I might be the only one that

(03:15):
has pointed this out because they're so fresh. I mean,
we're the first show after the game, after the game,
which means I'm the first. It's official, bro, the start
of the Super Bowl and the kickoff because we all
have smartphones with the cameras that focus and don't need
a flash or anything. You immediately and kickoff the whole

(03:38):
classic vibe of a big event where it's a click
click click click camera flashes everywhere. No camera flashes, that's
a thing of the past. The whole first pitch of
the game, tip off n B, a kickoff in NFL,
the whole all at once like click click click click,
click click click. That's your that's your mile take of
the day right now. Certainly not my extra hot take

(03:59):
of a day. It was my first observation, fair enough,
and observation nonetheless, and there's no such thing as a
wrong observation. So we'll turn it over to you to
eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox, Danny G and
Bobo on the phones. Your takeaways, Things that made you
say tonight Fox All Funday Sunday with Caveno and Rich.

(04:21):
I didn't even notice. See, that's why I didn't even notice.
I think another observation is when you're in good company
and the game is in of the magnitude. Maybe we're
used to because these are two teams that, you know,

(04:42):
the Rams don't have a monster fan base, and the
Bengals were surprised. Everyone figured the Chiefs were with the
better team that didn't get there. I think sometimes social,
the social side of things, overtake the game, unless the
game's extraordinary. Well, hold on again, keep in mind, guys,
we're not Rams fans. We're here now a but we're
not Rams fans and we're not Bengals fans. We don't

(05:04):
hate the teams either. We wanted to see a good game.
Then you factor in that people haven't been hobnobbing and
boozing and schmoozing for years. Sometimes, you know, these get
togethers are special, more special than ever before, So a
good conversation could take precedence over the game at times,
you know. Or the commercials where we used to be
so stoked to be focused in and zoned in on

(05:25):
the commercials, you're sort of like leaked on Instagram and Facebook,
not zoned into the game the way you used to be.
You got company over, you probably haven't had company over
in a minute, you know, So that could be part
of it. That could be part of it. I'm just
saying I'm not saying the game wasn't fun. I'm not

(05:47):
saying the game wasn't good. All I'm saying is from
my perspective. You know, I saw a lot of hob nobbing.
I saw a lot of people not paying attention, and me,
knowing that I was gonna be on the air with
you right after the game, I was trying to pay attention,
and like everyone else is just talking and not really
zoned in. And that's just indicative maybe of how everybody
else felt about it, unless, of course, they had a

(06:09):
horse in the race. It was a I don't think
many people's horse was in the race. And I think
also Joe Burrows a new star, and Matthew Stafford up
until the time he came to the Rams, it wasn't
like the face of anything in the NFL really, so
I feel like for the casual fan, there was no
Aaron Rodgers or Patrick Mahomes or anything that they knew.

(06:31):
I guess there was no Tom Brady. The two teams
that deserve to be there were there. You can't take
that away from him. But I did say, and people
snickered and smirk and rolled their eyes at me. I said,
I don't know if the two best teams are there.
You know, they won fair and square, they earned it,
they had the momentum. But were they the big name
headliners that the public, the general public and the casual

(06:54):
fans wanted to see and the answers probably no. And
again that's my take. I was at Rich's house for
the Super Bowl. Mixed company. That's the other thing. If
you're hanging out a mixed company, not everyone's into football.
It sort of takes away from your attention. If you're
a football fan, we've watched every week all year long,
it comes down to this. I'm zoned in and I got,

(07:16):
you know, a guy to my left talking to me about,
you know, the weather. It takes away. So when you
have mixed company, people not on the same page. They're
not Bengals fan, they're not Rams fans. It's not the Buccaneers,
it's not the Chiefs. It it leaves a different taste
in your math. There's no Heavin Rogers, there's no I'm

(07:39):
telling you my my observation isn't wrong. I'm telling you
how I felt about it, but I had a great time.
How many times throughout that game did you hear maybe
people cheer or jump up maybe like like there was
a Jamaar chase catch at some point, there was. There
was a couple of turnovers, like there was not a
lot of moments where everyone's like, oh man, check it out.
You know what the most like excitement from you took

(08:02):
the Stromboli out of the stealth. My little nephew spilled
the coke. My little nephew, Oh, my little new that's
what happened. Yea, it wasn't you, March, It was my
little nephew spilled a little cup of Coca cola all
over richest table. Like you thought something exciting happened, but
it didn't. And again, Bobo, Danny g Steve the singer,

(08:24):
they they might you guys at home in the car,
you might have a completely different opinion of what went
down because you had a different experience. That's fine and dandy,
and that's why we opened it up to you eight
seven seven nine on Fox. Let's go. As we get
to the phone calls, I'm reading our feedback. Shawn and
Connecticut hit us up and he said, there was Bobo

(08:45):
oh Covino an apology. He might why because he did
criticize me months ago. It was like week two months
and months ago, Covino said West Coast and Bobo. He
yelled at Bobo being h you know, uh a resident,

(09:05):
a local. So the west side, he said, No one
says West Coast. I said, I say West Coast. Changed
it ever since? I changed it for Bobo. But guess
what Snoop dog said tonight, West Coast? Cool way that Bobo?
When when Snoop DOGG screams out West Coast? So hey,

(09:29):
I'll be boomer all day? Guess what? Guess what? You know?
What else will we figured out? We figured out the
Rams were the team the best team in the NFL
this year. Congratulations Rams twenty they go sixteen and five.
But you know what else? We figured out that when
it came down to the East Coast West Coast rap battles,
West Coast ended up winning. Look at him tonight. Look

(09:52):
who's shine the brightest tonight? The West Coast. So congratulations.
All these years later, we know who officially won the
rat battle. All right, Emmett in Olympia, you're out with
coven on Rich post Super Bowl fun time? What's up? Man?
What's up? Guys? Now? Before I get into my takeaway,
I just have to add you know, obviously the guys
have been the studio all day, have you guys, Like,

(10:12):
are you guys in the studio or because obviously traffic
and l after the Rams don't know, Like, oh no,
we're all we all watch a game together. So we're
all in my home studio, the coven On Rich home studio.
In fact, we we went here. We dipped away from
the Super Bowl party. We gotta start plotting out the show.
So yeah, we're where we watched the game. We experienced
the game the same way everybody else did with friends

(10:33):
and family, you know, around the TV, boozing and schmoozing,
hobnob and catching up with people watching the game. Time.
You know, Bobo stopped by for a minute, and Bobo
headed back to the studio. So Bobo, Danny g and
Steve Disager back at the studio and a few miles
away out here on the West coast, still in Los Angeles, Cavino,
Rich and Spot And what's uh, what's your what's your question?

(10:56):
What's your takeaway from from the big game? Uh So
my take away from the A game was this is,
you know, the Rams, it seems like they're kind of
scared of throwing for for a bid that rushing attack.
I mean twenty one yards for eight or seven yards
for what they do that. I just blanked on his
name a seven yards for no, no is no, That's

(11:18):
who it was. It was Darren Henderson two yards for
Sony Michelle. And it was just like, you guys have
Cooper Cup who is like Cooper Cup, he's a beast.
You have Van Jefferson who is pretty solid too. You
could have thrown that and then the other like a
lot more and the other thing too that I was like, wow,
is I wonder if I hate to play the one
if game, but it's gonna get tossed out because, like

(11:38):
we all within the sports radio cover sports is what happened?
You know that fourth and one? I'm like the forty
nine yard line when the Bengals went for it on
that first drive, if they punted it with the rams
and like would they have punted it too or would
they have scored? Or like there's a bunch of what
if this one. But you could go what if back
weeks and you could say, like, if you're a Niners

(11:59):
fan like I am, you didn't watch that game today
saying Jimmy g at at an average level could have
competed with either one of these teams, and then yeah,
Pat Mahomes and Tom Brad must be saying, you know,
we could have beat Holmes is thinking I was that
close and no, man, if thanks about our away last week.
We should have totally been a Super Bowl champions again.
But man, that's tough to swallow. But I guess I

(12:22):
wasn't our year, and God's got it impossible for them
to sleep tonight. God Win and some of the players
in Tampa are like, yo, we didn't get banged up
and we're there with Tom Brady. Could have easily made
a second run. So yeah, there's a lot of what
ifs and a lot of should have could his who knows,
but you know what Camino said, it the way it
played out, Ramsey, your super Bowl champions, and they don't
give a hell what any of us know. No, no, hey,
let it be known. Emmett, thanks for the call. Man.

(12:43):
You've been riding with us, you know since day one.
We appreciate you. Let it be known, guys, we're not
here on Fox Sports Radio to come up with this
hot take or to be contrarians just to get you
to call in, or you know, to take some sort
of negative side of what was a really fun night,
just calling it as we saw it. Did we have
a good time hanging out tonight? Absolutely had a great

(13:06):
time food. In fact, if you want to know the truth,
I took a simple like coffee and I had grabbed
Covino's cup by mistake. You, oh yeah, is full of
bailies right, same here, same here. So we're having a
good time. I don't want anything to come across a
Cooper cup of coffee vs. An M V Pea coffee.

(13:27):
So I don't want people maybe new to our show,
driving home from their friend's house from the game maybe,
or you know, from whatever party you're at, thinking, who
are these guys trying to dump on my good time? Now?
We had a great time. All I'm saying. From my job,
my obvious servation was that tonight, unless you were a
Rams fan or a Bengals fan, socializing took precedence over

(13:49):
the game again, especially when you're with mixed company. And
that's what happens with the Super Bowl all season long.
It's either you or you and your buddies at the
bar who are hardcore into football. Right on Super Bowl Sunday,
everybody gets together and everyone's like talking about nonsense, watching
up and comes back. If the game is good enough, though,

(14:12):
if good enough, if the game is elite, then that
becomes the focal point and and the non fans and
the people that are they're just partying, start watching. And
that wasn't the case of the people that were not
watching in a circumstance like today's games. Today's game, they
were the ones pulling the football fans away from the
game because the game really wasn't captivating. Fox Sports Radio.

(14:33):
I gotta, I gotta be honest. I felt like a nerd,
but I had a great time. Everybody, everybody at the
at Rich's house was trying to talk to me, and
I'm thinking, hey, I gotta I gotta be on the
radio tonight. I'm trying to I'm trying to pay attention,
and there just wasn't that many great moments to get
everybody's attention. However, it's the Super Bowl and there's more
observations the halftime show. I have my opinions on that too,

(14:55):
because it was great. But I'm Harry. I never say
stop the but I like a big butt, and I'll
give you that big butt later. On All right, Well,
Jay Derek drum drum everyone on hold, stay there, we
got your calls. Next little Super Bowl recap Covino and
Rich on Fox Sports Radio. Fox Sports Radio has the

Pro Bowl Lea Barrington and I couldn't be more excited
to announce a new podcast called Up on Game? What
is Up on Game? You asked, along with my fellow
pro bowler t J. Hushman's otta and Super Bowl champion.

(15:40):
That's right, Plexico Burds. You can only name a show
with that type of talent on it. Up on Game
We're going to be sharing our real life experiences loaded

LaVar Arrington, t J. Hudgmansatta and Plexico Birds on the
I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get

(16:02):
your podcasts from. All right, welcome back, we are Cavino
and Rich. I believe I saw DJ Kalin and one
of those commercials again, A lot of schmoozing, the boozing
going on. Welcome back Cavino, Enrich, Fox Football Sunday Funday.

(16:23):
We have a Super Bowl champion. Congratulations to the l
A Rams to twenty again. Don't want to sound negative, Okay,
don't want to sound like negative, nor Bert. I've seen
better Super Bowls. Great night, great time. You know, props
the Cooper Cup. Eight receptions yards, two tuddies, seven rushing yards.
But he had to go ahead touchdown, So congratulations. Great

(16:45):
season for him, great season for the Rams. Bengals fell short.
It was a close game. That's also very very positive, right,
But there's I like your positivity. There's three sides to
every story, Rich, there's my side, your side in the truth.
And Matt in Minnesota hit us up and bringing up
a good point. He said, in a big sporting event,

(17:07):
there's three sides, the winning fan and how they feel,
the losing fan and how they feel like these Bengals
fans are depressed right now. They are, but they also
feel really great about their future. But now the windows
always small. But when when you when you're there, you
gotta win it. That's how you gotta look at it.
And then the non the non fan of those teams,

(17:29):
and I think if you're a non fan of those teams,
you're like, all right, it was a good game. I'm
glad it was twenty three to twenty opposed to like.
But just because it's a close game all the flags
at the end took away from doesn't mean it's a
good The excitement at the end too though, to be honest,
and something else we need to point out before we
go to the phone calls again, Danny g and Bobo

(17:51):
on the phones at eight seven seven on Fox. It's
the second year in a row. The well, they're not
really the home team, but the home one at home. Yeah,
the team that played in their stadium. The Rams weren't
necessarily the home team, but they played in their stadium
and one in l A. Think of all the years
we went where this never happened before, and it happened

(18:13):
two years in a row. That's pretty remarkable. So pressure
on the Cardinals next year. I believe the Super Bowls
in Arizona next year. Again, we're Covino and Rich. Congratulations
to the l A. Rams. We're live from the West Side.
We will talk about the halftime show, we will talk
about the commercials, but again, our overall feeling right now
is exactly what Matt and Minnesota said. There's the Bengal side,

(18:35):
the Rams side, and everyone else's side. So let's go
to the phones. Let's say hello. As Jason said on Twitter,
you make the perfect point Coveno and Rich. If talking
with your friends accentuated the good time instead of the game,
that means it was a good game. And that's not
like our our crazy hot take to dump on the game.
That's just that's just our truth. That's that's what we

(18:56):
were noticing when we were partying having a good time
watching it. Also, please let this be the straw you
need to work on your sound system. Oh yeah, well
I don't. I'm so bad because I think that was
part of it too. I don't think the sound was
punching through enough. I had to ask Bridge to put
on the subtitles at one point because I was driving
me crazy because everyone was talking being you know, chipping

(19:17):
and chatting. If anything, it drove me to have more conversation. Yeah, bro,
you need for a big game like this, this is
no knock on Rich. You need surround sound. You need
it because it takes you out of the game. You know,
you hear about your your buddy talking about his kids.
You know, literallygue game in the background, because that's all
you hear. You don't hear the game. I don't I

(19:38):
have a theory on that. But Jane Denver, You're on.
What's up? Jay? What's up? Jay? Gentlemen, It's a pleasure
to be on with you. To be honest, I don't
think I ever listening to you guys before, but was
heading home after the Super Bowl. Washington has a local establishment.
I'm like, man, these guys are awesome. Breakback at you
and you really appreciate it. We're usually on a little
earlier on Sunday, but we wanted to, you know, watch

(20:00):
the game and come on afterward and catch everybody riding
home and yeah, you know, keep in mind we're still
processing everything just like you guys are. What do you
think what was your big takeaway? Jay? You know, and
I'm one of those guys from Denver, obviously Broncos fan,
kind of sitting in the middle and obviously seeing von
Miller back out there, um for another shuper Bowl is awesome.
He's uh, of course the doort out here, and I'd

(20:23):
say he had a fairly decent impact on the game.
Oh he had he had one big play. He had
if he had a few big but but one big play.
It's some big play. And you know, guys like him
and oh b J really showed their money's worth. He
was having. Odell Beckham Jr. Was having a hell of
a game before he got hurt. Yeah, And it's one
of those things too, Like I watch Odell and I'm like, man,
I really like this guy. But do you see him

(20:44):
get hurt? And you're like, dang, I kind of feel
bad for this guy. Like even the players you hate on,
no one wants to see anyone get hurt. Maybe he
made his impact felt though for sure both players did.
Both players didn't worked out for the Rams. Derek in
New York, what's up, buddy, Derek, you're uncommne en rich
I've seen I'm old enough to have seen every super Bowl.

(21:05):
I'm sixty four years old, and I can remember where
I was for every super Bowl, literally whose house I
was at, what bar I was at, the circumstances involved
in everyone. I missed most of one super Bowl. But
that's because this check I was dating made her own clothes.
But it's another story. Uh, but that's the only one
that I didn't see. Most of that was the Rams

(21:25):
and the and the Steelers way back when. But I've
seen every Super Bowl, and you talk about what ifs
as somebody who is a serious, serious fan, I doubt
many people in your audience are as much of a
fan as I am. A pro football I'm definitely an
NFL his story, and I'm a collector of old games. Um,
I've got games from the early seventies, complete games with
commercials and the whole thing. That's that's my hobby. And

(21:46):
uh so I pay attention and the what ifs that
happened in the games, the improbability of it. That's what
makes great theater and what what the NFL has become.
And this this is what makes the demographics, you know,
inclusive to all people, whether you're a housewife from Minneapolis
or soccer mom whatever. My girlfriend is starting to appreciate
the game because she learned about it and she understands

(22:08):
the drama and she goes, oh, that third down was
really important. Now before she didn't understand the down and distance.
There's great theater in the NFL. As a matter of fact,
any of your young audience, if you really want to
enjoy great theater of the NFL, go back to NFL
films and look up the Super Bowls that were before,
you know, on YouTube and and John Facenda, you guys

(22:28):
know the name John Facenda was the narrator for NFL films.
That is great filmmaking. And there's such drama when I
was a kid. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Let
me ask you, how do you compare this if you
talk about drama of all the Super Bowls and you've
seen them all and you're going on and on about it. Historian,
you're a historian. How do you rank this one? Is this? Where?

(22:51):
Where do you? Is there any play that stands out?
Is the Cooper Cup touched out at the end? The
go ahead touch own? Is that in the top twenty
like last? You know? Game winning touchdown catches? Is there
any I No, I agree with you, guys. I agree
with your contention that in terms of it was a
close game? Uh? Did it? Did it capture the imagination

(23:11):
of a serious football fan if you weren't a fan
of either team? Not particularly? I enjoyed it. I'm a
Green Bay Packer fan. I think the Packers would have
been either of these teams. I think that's what I think.
I think people think chieves one. If the Bills got
it's the best point you made. I feel his Packers
would have won that game. I do believe your Fortys

(23:32):
could have won that game. I think the Chiefs are
the Buccaneers wouldn't won that game because the parody in
the NFL. And I think this season perhaps the Bengals
and the Rams. And you can't take anything away. If
your team wins, you don't care how it happens. If
your team wins in a blowout, a close game, but
the worst game ever. If your team won, you're happy.
Why did you hang up on that guy? He said,
as a he's a historian. Let him get back to research. No,

(23:55):
I wanted to tell him about the game I had.
I have a hungry hung the Hippos vintage. Oh he's
in the vintage I have. I have the first guess
who lying? You're lying? Press have a creepy mustache story
of games? Yeah, I want to. Let's let's get into
some news. Let's Steve Hello, gentlemen. The Rams win Super

(24:17):
Bowl fifty six by final against Cincinnati. Cooper Cup is
the Super Bowl m v P and on the championship drive,
he had four catches for nearly forty yards. And remember
the Rams from their own thirty late in the game
went forward on fourth and one and on it and around.
It was Cooper Cup who got seven yards and kept
that drive alive. It wound up being a touchdown drive

(24:39):
of fifteen plays, seventy nine yards nearly five minutes. It
put the Rams ahead, and then the Rams defense stopped
the Bengals late on third and one and fourth and
one with Aaron Donald. So yet again, the Rams win
postseason games in these playoffs despite making a lot of mistakes.
I mean, they had a minus two turnover march. In fact,

(25:00):
this had only happened twice in Super Bowl history that
you're a minus two or worse in turnover margin and
you still win the Super Bowl game. Conversely, the Bengals
are the first team ever to lose the Super Bowl
where they had no giveaways on offense tonight and at
least one ten takeaway on defense and did not win
the game. Congratulations not only to Aaron Donald, but de
Von Miller, in season acquisition, had two sacks tonight as well.

(25:23):
He had been a Super Bowl m v P with dinner, Denver.
This gives him four and a half sacks in his
Super Bowl career, which ties the Charles Hayley record. Actually,
sacks had been in the NFL officially as a stat
for forty years. Only two Super Bowl appearances for Miller
and four and a half sacks. It took Hayley five
Super Bowl appearances. He did win all five, but the

(25:43):
Rams defense tonight sack Joe Burrow seven times. Remember you
got sacked nine times at Tennessee in that one playoff game.
But the Rams defense tied a Super Bowl record with
those seven sex von Miller's Broncos had seven. Uh, the
Great Bears had seven in their dominant Super Bowl, and
one of the Steelers teams in the nineteen seventies had
a seven sack game. So now, what franchises have won

(26:04):
a Super Bowl representing two cities. The St. Louis Rams
and l A Rams are on the list, The Raiders
in Oakland and l A and the Colts Baltimore and
Indianapolis Rams win twenty three to twenty and wide receiver
Odell Beckham, who had the first TV TV left in
the second quarter and was seen on the big screen
just on the sideline and emotional when initially seen on

(26:25):
the sideline due to the knee injury non contact injury,
and the Rams still win the game. NBC quickly went
from post game a short post game to its Winter
Olympic coverage, and they're just finishing the ice dancing France
with a chance to go for goals and actually send
one of the American teams down to fourth place. Women's

(26:46):
Bob's led US one gold and silver tonight. US men's hockey.
This morning our time beat Germany three to US women's
hockey has a semifinal tomorrow morning. Canadian women's hockey has
been the one dominant team. They're already at five nothing
first period of their semifinal against Switzerland. NBA All Star
Game is next Sunday night in Cleveland. Today, NBA wins
for Boston and Minnesota, and the Phoenix Open went to

(27:09):
Scottie Scheffler in a playoff, his first career tour victory.
Back to you, Hey, Steve, that's an interesting programming decision
when you really think about it. Right, you're going over
the Super Bowl, like the whole season led up to this.
You're talking to all the players, the reaction, you're in
the locker room like, all right, guys, we gotta cut
a short. We got ice dancing next contact. They don't
make the Olympic schedule of it. That's when an executive says,

(27:32):
you know, I ice dancing can wait. You know, let's
let's see the party and go. I'd rather watch like,
you know, people celebrating, celebrating than watch ice dancing. No offense.
But they have had very little effective, historically low Olympic
TV audience. This past week for their Winter Games, it's
been about ten million viewers instead of the usual fifteen plus.
They're gonna get more than fifteen million tonight just by

(27:54):
going quickly. You're gonna say, you know what, the fake
story's gonna be tomorrow. Ratings last night higher than ever. Yeah,
because you had all the Super Bowl congratulations Cooper Cup,
let's go ice dancing cut you okay, So maybe maybe
it was a good program. I can't find the remote,
leave it on, you know, you know, you know, so

(28:17):
funny how many people met that they couldn't find the
remote because they had company over. It's probably stuck between
someone's butt cheeks right now, you know, and they're like, oh,
then they're forced to watch Ice dance at the bottom
of a dip right now. Yeah, anyway, we're Cavino and
Rich and we hope you had a great night. We
had a great night. It was a good game. It
was a close game, and depending on who you're rooting for,

(28:39):
you know, it's how you felt. And we weren't really
rooting for We were just rooting for a good game.
I was doing for anybody was Joe Burrow. And to
see it go down the way it went down, it
left even more of a kind of a week. I
don't think Joe Burrow played bad, No, but it just
came down to a game that was like down to
Aaron Donald forcing the fourth down stop. Its shell props
to him. You know again, I want to focus on

(28:59):
the positive and games like that. You got a credit
to defense. But I think something that we mentioned before,
the Rams and the Bengals could also just be victims
of arguably the greatest postseason of NFL football where you
got that's a great take. I mean, you got games
like the Niners and the Packers in the snow. You
got games like uh, Tom Brady with a major comeback

(29:24):
almost beating the Rams. You got games like how many
into overtime. How many games, you know, came down to
a field goal, so many battles leading up to this,
it was, Yeah, you're right, it's really hard to compare
it was. It was. It would be like a UFC
card where everyone on the undercard had like sick knockouts

(29:44):
and then you know what, it's like an old school
rock like analogy. One time I saw a big festival
show and Rage against the Machine performed and they weren't
by far the best band to perform, and then Limpiscut
was next. And after Rage, you're like, I mean, is
Limpiscuits we can do it? We just so rage. They
just destroyed the place. What do you got? Fred just

(30:06):
like yeah, you don't know what time it is, and
we're like, yeah, it's time to go home. We just
so rage and it just kill And you know what
in limp Biscuits defense, they brought it and it was great.
But you know what, it wasn't It wasn't raging against
Matthew Stafford, Joe Burrow. I'm sorry. It was great. You're
not Mahomes Josh Allen's and you're not even wasn't exciting?
Is the playoffs? We're not even a snowy game with

(30:28):
the Niners, and then it was a good game. But
we were spoiled leading up to this, so unless you're
a Rams fan, you were just like, you know what.
And for the the as you said that the Super
Bowl brings out the most non fans just because it's
a social event. As the meme that was going around
all weeks said, there are very few Super Bowls over

(30:48):
the last decades that didn't have a Manning or Brady
in it. And you know, Borrow versus Stafford. It's for
football fan. It was like, yeah, these teams grinded all year,
they deserve it. But for the non fan and you
were slinging Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes, the general interests
have been like, oh them, okay, so hey, that's our

(31:09):
side of it. That doesn't mean it wasn't fun for
everybody else. Congratulations to the Rams. Let's go to the
phones again. Eight seven, seven ninety nine. Fox and Bobo,
I know you enjoyed the game too, So I mean,
was there something that we're missing that you were like, Yo, man,
that was great. I'm sorry, I can't say this. I
love the fact that they were letting calls go like
they were just letting them play. I love that. It

(31:31):
was a couple of calls that I wanted the call. Yeah,
until the end of the game. I was like, so
now you guys want to actually throw yellow flags. You
have a question. Here, here's a here's a thought. If
the Rams don't win the game, is that Jalen Ramsey
almost getting his head spun off pass interference? No call?
And there like the offensive pass interference was by Higgins

(31:54):
like spun Ramsey right by his head. Like, I don't
know how you did not see that as a ref
Like how did he not see this? Dude only cares
because the Rams one. But if that, if the Rams
don't win, do we say, well, that's the blown call.
I mean that that played loss significance. Like you said earlier,
if if was a fifth you know what I mean,
everybody would be drunk. But it's the thing is right now,
that was an obvious call that they should have called,

(32:14):
regardless of winning or losing. And I don't know, man, like,
if you're gonna go no calls the whole game, then
just make the calls that you do call obvious because
at the end, y'all the rest rated to the last
minute to start throwing, you know, throwing flags out, and
I'm happy one being an l A guy, so my
my city has another championship. But at the same time, man,

(32:36):
that that was the one thing I would have fixed
about that. Just call it fair. Let's go to your
phone calls. Drum South Carolina, you're on and it was halftime.
We'll get to that. We'll get to that. What's up
drum that touched John Higgins was disgusting and then he
goes to start damping. In the end, drawn look book

(32:58):
called it was a violation, calling Chris carlinsbro if he
thought that was funny. But when they called pass through
appearance against from um down on the go line, Oh
that's kicking Cocker. I'll never trust anything, he says anymore.
And the more I listened to talk radio, you got
so many biased people. Man, it's hard to trust people anymore.

(33:21):
I'm not biased unless yeah you can, you can trust
to be honest. I'm glad to hear your take on
Chris Collinsworth. I didn't hear any of the commentary. Yeah again,
just because there was so much chatter going on. And
we'll talk more about that later. Who else we got
James in Indiana and rich what's up, gentlemen? Right? It

(33:45):
was a good Super Bowl. Yeah, but now the time
from the end of the final whistle of the Super
Bowl to the first tip off of the n c
A Men's Basketball Tournament in one month. Now it's gearheads
season and that means only one thing to me. That
means the Great American Race. Next Sunday, the day tone

(34:08):
up five. I'd rather watch pictures and catchers, Uh, you know,
tickle each other, you know what. I know a lot
of people will watch it, but my interest level James
is a zero point zero. It gets you fired up, man,
that's cool. Maybe I'll check it in the background, but
uh yeah, I'll tell you this is the as Steve
the Sager said, we got the NBA All Star Game

(34:29):
coming up. Your focus shifts now from from an NFL
to NBA. You know, before you know, it's it's playoff
times and catchers for baseball. Yeah, it's gonna all unfold.
It's gonna unfer all And if that's what you're into,
that's cool too, man, But you know, everybody's focus shifts
to something else. Yeah, well turned out to be a

(34:51):
pretty good game there at the end, good catch by
Coupe in the end zone to get the game lining touchdowns.
And yes, the defense came up big for the Rams
at the end of the game. So since we're focusing
on the positive, to remember the two storylines leading into this.
Joe Burrow comeback player of the Year. The guy has swag?

(35:12):
Could he be the next Braid? He's gonna come here
and and be the man? Yeah, he's still the man? Right.
He came in with that ridiculous suit on and his
uh did he his hat? Did he hat? He was
rocking to his owning that hat. Just let it be
known though, that to get back to the Super Bowl,
especially in that a FC will not be easy. That
did it right? This could be the opportunity he could,
you know, looking back to it's a long road back.

(35:34):
That was one part of the storyline. Hey is Joe
Burrow going to be the guy? And then to see
Miss Stafford proved that a different setting it could be.
All that it takes is inspiring, not only for him
and and his fans, but for you. If you're the
guy who's just not getting that promotion, getting that girl
getting ahead, maybe a change of scenery is all it takes.

(35:57):
Look what he he always had the potential. How many
people out there is like in, I know I got
the potential. I know I got it what it takes.
But I'm never getting looked at. I'm never getting that
lucky break. This dude made it happen. He won a
super Bowl his first year somewhere else. It's amazing, you know,
if you want to focus on the positives, that's an
amazing story. All right, listen, more feedback, more your fun

(36:17):
Next Rich on Fox Sports Radio. Yeah, yea Capino Enriched
Live from the West Coast. Yeah, home of the Super
Bowl champions. Congratulations to the Rams, the Rams fans in
l A over the Bengals twenty Where Cavino Enrich Monday

eighty three Again, thanks for being here, all the feedback
at eight seven seven nine on Fox or again the
most interactive show on radio at Covino and Rich was up,

(37:01):
Tiggy do the Bengals tweeted out an unforgettable season falls
just short? Thank you Joda Nation and Henry Winkler responded
Cincinnati should be very proud of their team. Yes, but
gets so close. Do you need to finish? Yeah, it's tough.
Anyone that has rooted for a team that got there

(37:23):
and lost. Talk to Falcons fans and Matt Ryan asked
them if it's easy to get back, I'll talk to
you fan. I mean easy to get back now you've
had your fun, But it's been a minute, so guess
what I mean, more recent than most teams, but still
like you, your team loses in a championship game or worse,
the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals. It's very nice

(37:47):
to say, well, you got a great foundation and there's
always next year. But to quote your hero, growing your
little kid, Derek Jeter, he hated that phrase, there's always
next season. He said recently I'm the Knuckleheads podcast on
the Players Tribune that you know, I think of a

(38:07):
pressure professional athletes career span, especially in football, but we
have three to five years that's the average, unless you're
star something ridiculous like that. Three to five years. You know,
there's always next year, not really not for everybody. You
play every year to win. So yeah, sorry Bengals, this
could have been your your only chance. But we'll see.
Congratulations to the Rams, and we want to get to

(38:29):
your feedback. I want to get to the fund stuff too.
We talked a lot about the game, Congratulations against the
Rams eight seven, seven, nine nine on Fox. What were
some of your other obvious servations, your observations on the
commercials on halftime. We're gonna talk halftime too. I don't
want to put you on the spot. I want to
throw a trivia question out there because I looked this
up myself because I was like, how often has it happened?

(38:50):
Because I remember Jerry Rice won the Super Bowl m
v P when they played the Bengals in the ninety season. Okay,
Cooper Cup on the m v P this year. In
between Jerry Rice and eighty nine and Cooper Cup this
year in there were four other wide receivers that were

(39:11):
m vps. Who are the four guys? Can you think
of any think about that. I'll give you the answer
in a little bit. The other four the Patriots in there.
There's a Patriot in there. There's two Patriots in there. Okay,
so there's your hints in between Jerry Rice and Cooper
Cup in two season four, other wide receivers that won

(39:34):
the MVP Award. Think about that, but then your pipe
and smoke on it and talk about the halftime show again.
I want to stay positive. But it's fifty side down?
Is he? No? Yeah? Now he's right side up. Now
he's right side up. He's right side up. Now what

(39:54):
did I say? It shows who really won the East
Coast West Coast battle. Back in the nineties. West Coast
rap was great. I mean, I'm an East Coast guy.
I love all these coast stuff, but West Coast brought
it tonight. However, there's a big butt, and I love
big butts. I cannot lie. So I'll tell you my
my my pros and cons. There are very few cons.

(40:17):
I got a few cons. There are a few cons.
You know, everybody's got their pros. I'm gonna give you
some other things to think about. But your takeaways from
not only the game. We'll talk about halftime a little bit.
Was there too much of someone not enough of someone else?
Was there a song that you're like, how did they
not play that. There were a lot of dancing cons.
Did you see them? There were dancing cons. We'll get

(40:39):
to all that next at Covino and Rich on Fox
Sports Radio. Hey tod, We're next live from l A.
It's Covino and Rich. What in fact, Danny G, Bobo
and Steve the Seger for riding with us late at
night as people head home from the Super Bowl party?

(40:59):
Drive say, I hope you had a great day. I
hope you had a great time. Hope you enjoyed all
the festivities leading up to this exciting night. And again,
congratulations to the Rams and the Bengals for a good season.
They fell short twenty three to twenty. Tonight, spot the
producers here again with Danny G on the phones eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox. That's our number, and
hit us up at Covino and Rich, you had a

(41:20):
tribute question for us. I did, and it goes a
little something like this. It hit it. Jerry Rice nine
won the Super Bowl m v P the last time
the Bengals were in before tonight. I saw that on
Joe Montana Cool under Pressure, great great documentary. Cooper Cup

(41:40):
won the m v P two. So you got Rice
and eighty nine Cooper Cup in two four wide receivers
Between those two from eighty nine till now, there were
four other guys who were they in the wide receiver department?
And he guesses eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
I got I'll get the obvious one out of the way. Edelman.

(42:02):
Edelman's Edelman is definitely one of them. Welker's not because
he never won. Who's the other one is? Would you
say the early Brady days? Wow? Okay, so it never
got never got that one. Uh, if you know the
other two, you know, we'll leave the fund to you.
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. So congratulations again

(42:24):
to Cup, great season, Offensive Player of the Year if
I'm not mistaken right, And you know, arguably Aaron Donald
could have won the MVP tonight he forced the fourth
down to stop the game. You know what I think
about it, because, as you said, this game just happened.
We're also of forming our opinions and takes. And what
did I really think about it? Was? Was it a
bad game? Was just really you gotta sleep. We we

(42:46):
might have to sleep on it. It might feel different tomorrow,
but I doubt it. But you know, what I'm also
thinking now from a Rams fan perspective and from from
someone that might be observing from the outside. They were
losing in the fourth quarter to the forty nine, came
back in one. They were losing to the Bengals in
the fourth quarter, came back in one. The players they

(43:07):
went to get in this all in situation delivered, so
you could say the Rams had the season that they
perfectly intended to have. Congratulations, it all worked out, worked out,
It did work. You rarely see that happen. Let's get
Odell Beckham Jr. That the five year old coach you know,
gets a Super Bowl. Congratulations. No, it's great. It's great

(43:29):
for the city, it's great for the team. And again
we set it before. It's great for Matt Stafford. It
shows that a different setting is all he needed all along.
That solid defies his legacy. You know. Congratulations. You know
his numbers, those huge numbers in Detroit that never amounted
to anything. There were just a lot of yards. It
was just a lot of yards and a lot of
touchdowns in losing seasons. Those numbers mean more. Now if

(43:49):
you're talking about where he ends up, well exactly, and
he'll end up in the Hall of Fame, if if,
if it continues, I think so. And to wrap it
up with numbers, Stafford two three yards, three touch downs,
two interceptions, Barrow two sixty three yards, one touchdowns, your interceptions.
Let's go to the phone. Alex Miliak, Comedo rich Man
post game. What's up, hey, guys. So I hate to

(44:12):
be the bearer of bad news, but the game was
kind of a joke. But there were two major winners
here that no one's talking about. The first one. And
by the way, I believe that all these kind of
things work together a sort of ink who But the
first one is NBC, who, as you know, had the
cover rating exposure on the Olympics, kicked everybody off the

(44:32):
game fifteen minutes, like what I call the cornhole strategy.
Might you know that the remote was up someone's cornal
They knew people would be changed, Fandel, that's the first one.
That's what Comedo said. Yeah, they pushed the Olympics on
your real quick huh? Ice dancing after the post game
ice dancing, It's no, no, it's worse than that. They're

(44:53):
crushuring the NFL to move a fast game. That's why
there weren't any flags. And you want to know the
other reason, it was because Vegas made all the money, right,
and I don't even gamble, and I I wasn't even
supporting either team. But you're talking about Rams winning but
not covering, and you know they didn't make the the

(45:13):
overunder problem as well, the underhead. I I did a
teaser bet and I lucked out because I had Rams
and Bengals over forty two and a half and the
Bengals plus ten and a half and I just got by.
I just got by on the over under. But thanks
for the call, brother. Let's let's take other phone calls.

(45:36):
I can't disagree with the guy what's up? I don't
I don't think the fixes in but I'm not saying
I don't believe that. You know, he said that the
game was kind of bunk, and again, unless you're a
Rams fan, it was kind of I said that. The
only thing I read that last guy on is that
NBC very quickly pushed the Olympics on you. It was,
you know, it's what they have to do. What's up,
bud al Oh, Elka Cooley, what's up? Bro? What's up?

(46:01):
Elka Cooe? Hey, what's up a good show tonight. You
guys are on point, you know what I mean? Yeah,
good to hear man, because you know, we're just going
by how we saw it and how we feel in
the moment. And I pretty much agree, you know, and
I'm with you. Could you know, I thought it was
a dope halftime show, but I didn't really like it,
uh in his little tank and I thought Snoop was

(46:23):
doing too much with this new rag T shirt. What
do you guys? Okay, all right, let's get into the
halftime transition. I want to thank el Ka Cooee the
Boogeyman for chiming in. We appreciate you all the Cavino
and Rich listeners hanging out with us as Fox Sports Radio.
We're live late Sunday night, Super Bowl Sunday. Let's talk
about the halftime show, man. This was so hyped up,

(46:45):
so built up, and and one of my favorite memes
are producers spot pulled up before and it's it's Rick
and Big Hoss from Palm Stars. And you know, you know,
the blick is asking Rick and Big Hoss and Chum
Lee for a hologram of Tupac, Like, you know, are

(47:07):
we getting the hologram of Tupac come on Rick from
Palm Stars. And then Rick says, the best I could
do is an upside down fifty cent. It's like, that's
not what we want. We wanted a hologram Tupac. We
wanted Nate Dog to come out there and like hold
up hey. Instead we got an upside down and Rich,
you said it. I'm not saying it, but you said it. Chubby,

(47:31):
he said, he said, you said, he looks like, yeah,
it's like three quarters. Yeah. By the way, Bobo, you
had just left up, Bobo, it was nice to see
a socially. By the way, thanks for stopping by the house.
Appreciate It's always a different vibe too, Rich, when you
know you gotta work later. Even though what we do
here is fun, it's still the feeling of we got
something to do later on. But I wanted I wanted

(47:53):
to truly kick it with Bobo the way I wanted to,
because I still got I still had to like focus
on the game and how to hear you. But the
halftime show, the minute Pitty came came out there, and
I'm sorry when the minute we saw him hanging upside down,
I didn't want to be rude, but I was the
guy that was I was the first person back Yo
is he chubby or what like? And not like I'm

(48:14):
not I'm I'm put on the winter pounds too. But
I mean, yeah, but you're not a halftime I'm not
doing the halftime show. I think Fitty was a bit
like unfitty cent. I'm gonna say this. I put this
on I put this on face. This was where was
the super Bowl in l A? Correct? There was another
artist that they could have had that was also under

(48:35):
the aftermath label the game. They could have brought the
game out instead of bringing out fifty cent. I think
that would have been a better West Coast stance than
bringing out fifty was a smash. I don't mind that
he was there. Here. Here's what I'm how we do.
It is a bigger one for for l A. When
people were waiting, when people were anticipating this fift this

(48:56):
halftime show, and and speculating who they were going to
bring out a surprise guest. Not once did I hear
someone I'm telling you I from THEE. I never sat
upside down, but I did think it was a possibility.
Now hold on, let's start with the positive Rich. Most
of the feedback that I got from friends was like, yo,
that's top five, you know, like our buddy Carlos from

(49:17):
from Mexico and my buddy Barnando. A lot of people,
a lot of my friends, my my circle from Union,
New Jersey, Cavino and rich listeners like yo, and that
was top five all time. That's right up to Bruno
Mars Like. People loved it. So I'm not trying to
like dump on anything. I'm just giving you my observation.
I think people wanted more to be honest that you
know what, and that's always a good thing, right that

(49:38):
that's positive. But I totally felt like that's it. It's
like like a fireworks show. You go to see the
fireworks and then you see the finale, and you always
left feeling like that's that's it. I wanted more. What
that's it? Is that it? I wanted more from who
they originally announced. I didn't need more. I didn't need
other people doesn't Bankers can't be choosers. I want to

(49:58):
go over where you ranked this super Bowl halftime show,
but number one fifties, fifty cent fifty fifty whatever you
wanna call him, fifty cent A performed too long. I'm
glad he was there, but it was too long and
took up too much time. Every minute counts, right, And
when he got thirteen minute a long and him being
upside down totally just sort of threw me off. I

(50:19):
don't know what that was about. You know. That's observation
number one. The other surprise I no one talked about
is Anderson Pack was Eminem's drummer. Oh that was cool.
I liked from Silk Sonic. For people that don't know,
he's been working lately with Bruno mar So. Anderson Pack,
who was a legit artist on his own right, just
happen to have a little cameo, Like unless you read
the drum kit, you wouldn't have realized it. Cameos are cool.

(50:39):
I don't mind that, but again, I would rather have
up word up. Now you got thirteen minutes, right, yeah,
thirteen minutes. We're gonna get your feedback. Eight seven seven
ninety nine. Fox. We know it was hot, we know
these are the best songs. Every song hits, but guess
what they don't play nothing but a g thing. That's
sort of a little bit of a left and Emine

(51:00):
him when the crowd goes berserk for who was the
clear headline. I'm sorry, Dray and Snoop. They brought it
in all and Snoop did his cript walking, he did
his old guy thing that that was hot. But Eminem
comes out and the crowd goes nuts. He has one song. Dude,
that's a bit of a letdown. I'm sorry, I think
that was good. That was a letdown. Here's the thing,

(51:20):
everything you're saying, I'm saying everyone's saying. Truthfully, if there
were ten more minutes, we would have kept watching that.
They could have gone two hours. We know that, and
we would have loved it. And at that point the
game wasn't really pulling in so to be honest, the
Super Bowl halftime show, at that point, I was so
waiting for him, like a right, let's see what they
got now? Fitting one too long? Because you're right, you
every minute counts. By the way, can we all give

(51:41):
a thumbs down to the people that we're talking during
the halftime show. I'm sure in every mixed company and
everyone one person there's some guy who's carrying on about
the vaccine or something in the background, like yo, buddy,
trying to watch the halftime everyone's gotta be quiet. Yeah, so,
you know, big thumbs down to that guy who was
chipping and chatting the entire time when we're trying to

(52:03):
watch Dr Dre. I think not enough Eminem, not all
too much fitty and the fact that, by the way
unpopular opinion, a little too much Mary J. Blige a
little about her, you know, Danny G I hear saying too.

(52:24):
I feel like I feel like she did the perfect amount.
You got family affair, and then she didn't. I think
she should have justed on family affair and the rest
of her time should have went to eminem. Yeah, what
was that other song? The second song she did? No
more druma what you know what for the super Bowl
halftime show? Get at it, get the what's the clown's
name from showtime at the Apollo him, get sweep sweeper

(52:46):
off the stage, make room for either more Dre, nothing
but a g thing tupac hologram, or more Eminem. That
was a little and I'm sorry. I love her, She's
a legend. A little too much, you know, I think
we've come up with the answer her here. Trim a
little of the fitty, the no more drama for Mary J.

(53:06):
And that bought you two minutes or so for nothing
but a g thing or eminem doing rap God or
something to close it like they have been. You know, listen,
it was great. It was listen, it was already great.
We're just yes, we are. We're trying to we're trying
to put five legends right. Kendrick Camar my wrong by
saying he didn't do his most popular song, Bobbo. I

(53:29):
don't think he did. Which one? I just don't. I
don't And he only did one song again and he
did too, He did two songs. He did a song
and like a in a snippet of another song. Okay,
So I was probably just getting aggravated because someone kept
talking during the show. Alright, So I just feel like,
I positive, it's better to keep people wanting the best
that I know who you're talking about, and I wasn't

(53:50):
even there. Oh yeah, exactly. Um, it's better to leave
people wanting more than, you know, feeling like they had
too much. So but we didn't need we didn't need
a hologram. But the tip of the cap to Park
I think was missing because Dre did get on the
piano and he played a little piece of I ain't
mad at you, and I'm like, all right, this is cool.

(54:11):
This is where they're gonna rep for TUPAC and they
didn't do it. I also felt like Nipsey Hustle's face
should have came up, yeah, like banners fell down or something,
or maybe we didn't see it. Maybe maybe, yeah, I
think I could have Nipsey wasn't with that group and
wasn't your Gennessee, And we're just giving it to you. Overall,

(54:32):
it was great, right, but you know it's easy for
us to say in retrospect, go way, man, it should
have been this and what about that? And that's all
we're doing right now. I agree with you a thousand
percent to energy. There's gonna be a lot more criticism,
not only from our show here on Fox Sports Radio,
but you know, wait until other social media starts to trend.
There's probably trending right out. We should appreciate the fact

(54:55):
that they were on Live Mike's Mary J did have
a backing track behind her it sound to like, but
the rest of the notice that had raw live mikes
and they sounded good. So that was one takeaway I
had where I was like, Okay, that that's a great
take too, because I was pretty critical about a lot
of times. As much as you may like the old
school hip hop, some of the shows they lack as

(55:17):
far as sound quality. Sometimes there's a lot, you know,
a lot of shountain doesn't sound there come across that great,
and and it did. It did come across really good,
and I thought it was cool. Man. I appreciated that. So, yeah,
I feel you, Danny g On. That was the other
feedback coming in. I think, uh, I think everyone's gonna
feel that a little more eminem right, everyone's gonna feel

(55:39):
you're right. Maybe a little too much, fifty cent or
Mary J. But I think we're nitpicking, and I want
to go over the last, and I won't take long.
I want to go over when we come back. I
want to go over the last. Just gonna read the
names of the last ten to twenty years and tell
me is it a top five? I think I'll go
over the names next. From the vibe I'm getting most

(56:00):
people are saying this is a top five performance. And
by the way, let me give everyone the quick answer
before we go to break wide receivers that won the
Super Bowl m v P. I said they were four
in between Jerry Rice and eight nine and Cooper cup Tonight, Ino,
you had Dion Branch and Edelman. You pick those guys
out the other two Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes. Wow,

(56:24):
so you had a few wide receivers win um since
Jerry Rice and eighty nine, and there's two more wide
receivers one Danny g. You might know if you're a
fan of your team before you were really watching closely.
Fred freddie in seventy seven and Lynn Swan in v
Stop looking at me, Lin Swan. Al Right, we have

(56:47):
more Camino and Rich observations and your thoughts. Halftime show,
the game, the commercials. We'll talk about it all right
here on Fox Sports Radio. Saw Dre doing this one,
We sure did talking halftime on Cavino and Rich. We
are live st Cavino and Rich Davis talking about the

(57:10):
Super Bowl. Congratulations again to the Rams. We're live the
Rams House, Live in the Rams House, the West House,
MS House, Rams House, Rams House. No, No, it's now
officially to Ram's House. You didn't hear. Yeah, take a
listen to NBC Local Los Angeles. There Garcetti says, LA

(57:32):
fans can't wait to show their pride and They're going
to do it in a way that only Hollywood can deliver.
This is what I'm talking about. Starting Monday and going
through Wednesday, the Hollywood sign will be changed to Rams House.
What a way to celebrate. That's kind of crazy to

(57:52):
be on it. Yeah, I mean, it's a lot. It
seems more complex than when a New York team wins.
They changed the color of the Empire State Building. That
seems a lot more simple than replacing a hell of
a lot of huge letters in a mountain. So Rams House,
it is congratulations again, Ellie Rams twenty three Bengals twenty
We talked about the game. If you just joined us,

(58:13):
check Fox Sports Radio dot com. Catch you on the podcast.
We'll go over it again. But now we're talking halftime,
and again we're being nitpicky because we do believe it
was top five all time. But you know, I mean,
I'm not sure if I agree with that fifty sand
foot of the loom tank top. He just didn't look
the same. But then again, who does you know they

(58:34):
left out a few songs. There was no twopoc hologram,
you know, was There was some some great moments for sure,
and those songs me here's how I felt a little emotion,
will be honest, because those songs mean so much. They're
the soundtrack to our lives. You're being like, you're a
who's your favorite actor? Actor? Again? Oh, Jonathan, nitpicky. I'm
being a little nitpicky because that's our job, because the

(58:57):
rest of the world knows that it's probably top five.
In fact, we're gonna prove that right now with your
phone calls and feedback. Danny J and Bobo on the
phones at eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. We're
gonna go over this list and let's all agree. You
may have some observations on the performance, but it's still
one of the best. If not, you're just hating. If

(59:17):
you want to start, you want to just do the
last Let's let's do the least ten years. If you
could tell me it's a top five in the last
ten years, then you're talking, I'll give you the last ten. Actually,
I'll give you a lot. We'll start in Madonna. Did
you enjoy that more than Madonna? Don't you remember Madonna?
A legend? You know? Is she one of the greats?
Does she represent the eighties? Of course? You know? But

(59:41):
do I remember do I all that memorable. I don't
remember so not to Madonna. Okay, what about when Beyonce
knocked out the lights in New Orleans? That was memorable?
Remember you, I don't know you, but now though, okay,
you're noting it. Okay, PLU like you said, power went

(01:00:01):
out that I remember all that was there. The Niners
lost that you tripping over a quarter or something? Can
you hit me up? He's like, yo, did you do that?
I feel like rich did their head hit something? Alright?
Bruno Mars and the Chili Peppers came out right owned it.
Bruno Mars got on the drums, he played all his songs,

(01:00:21):
his ballads. Dude, Bruno Marris destroyed it. He's top five
no matter what. He might be number one, number two
in the past ten years. Katy Perry with the Dancing Sharks,
Lenny Kravitz and Miss Elliott came out. I mean, I
love love Lenny, Love Love Love pun intended that's one
of his songs, Let Love Rule, I Love Lenny Kravitz,

(01:00:46):
But that was kind of weird sauce. No. I mean,
the big takeaway wasn't that backpack kid? Is that where
he was dancing Sharks? If that's what we remember the
dancing Sharks, which I do remember. Was it back Peckett.
Either way, if all we remember is Dancy Sharks, then
that shouldn't be in the top five. That doesn't mean

(01:01:08):
she's not a superstar and it wasn't fun, just you know,
was it that great? Our buddy Spot's gonna disagree, But
it's all good because you want to get coffee with
the bathroom cold Play. I'm gonna say, no, Daddy here nowhere.
They're great, but too boring for a half time. It
was very great, but I mean you're right halftime halftime show.

(01:01:29):
I love and I love cold Play. What about Lady Gaga?
That was memorable? It really God got jumping off the roof. Yeah,
remember and then she called remember she had to catch
a football. There was a backstory to that where in
rehearsed every time and then when it came to the

(01:01:49):
actual performance, she caught the football. Lady Gaga. I think
I think she was really memorable. Timber Lakes Top five
in minnes Soda. He came out with a marching band.
He did well rock your Body, Senorita. He did sexy Back,
My Love crimeer river suit and tie. He did like
his whole catalog. Yeah, now he's fine my room five.

(01:02:12):
As much as I love him, I'm gonna say no,
not as memorable. I mean no, definitely not j Lo
and Shakira. Yeah when bed Bony, don't you remember they
said that, like there when when Shakia went started the
coronavirus that started the pen started the pandemic. Their butts

(01:02:34):
were too much for the world. The world down for
two years. Yeah, we're still recovering. Last year, we all
like the Weekend, but that was not Top five. And
this year at some people, some Weekend fans will fight
you on that one. Dre Snoop, Eminem, Mary j Kendrick
Lamar with appearances and it's already listed on Wicked Pani
Fitty Sen and Anderson Pack is considered a featured artist.

(01:02:55):
So based on what I just said, for the last
ten plus years, if you've been listening, Bruno, Mars, Beyonce,
timber Lake, Gaga, Shakira and j Low and this one,
oh those don't know. So who do you drop? If
you're gonna put top five of the last ten years,
you gotta remember take away Beyonce, I, Kanye have a

(01:03:17):
Kanye might have a problem with that, and you might
ask me to apologize, but I won't. Beyonce's out spot
is Katie Perry out? Is Katie Perry? Katie Perry still
on there, She's take her out. That was terrible. So
you're gonna saga, You're gonna say, dog, Bruno Mars got
Bruno Mars this year, which was what we'll call it,

(01:03:40):
you know, Dre so dre, Bruno Mars, Gaga, timber Lake
stays I think so. I think I would drop Bruno
Mars unpopular opinion on the plane because the Chili Peppers
came out. It was awesome, fantastic, Bob, before we go
to the phones, what do you guys say, big Bruno

(01:04:00):
Mars like super fan, He was incredible, Bruno Mars, the
show was incredible. Yeah. Would you guys say, is Tonight
based on what we just said, is Tonight top five
in the last ten plus years? Yes? Yeah, i'd say, so.
What was the other ones you said? Again? I think Goga,
timber Lake and Bruno Mars during that conversation. Yeah, Bruno Mars,
timber Lake got Shakira and j Loo or Beyonce maybe

(01:04:22):
put them in there. Beyonce, Yeah, exactly, you can't take
up Beyonce and j Low. You could take out they
were beautiful and they're super talented, but there's so much
jiggly going on. I'll never forget there was a lot
of jiggle there. Yeah, I put the jiggle puts that
top five for me anyway, you know, give or take.
I do believe tonight's performance was a top five performance.

(01:04:44):
And now we turn it over to you guys again.
We're Covino and Rich on social media at Covino and Rich,
Greg in Boston. What's up? Greg? Hey? Greg, Hey, guys,
What's what's up? Man? What's you think of tonight? So?
I would agree, I don't know what was doing. He's
just hanging from the raptors. That was weird. I saw
a funny meme, Greg, You know, if you don't use

(01:05:05):
the video, oh term his music video. By the way,
that's why he's upside that it was. It was like
that in the video. One thing on eminem the reason
why he only played one song or had one song
and the rest of his songs that are inappropriate for
the rest of the year, for everyone else, for the
whole audience, right, I mean, yeah, he has pretty sensored
Lose Yourself was his Grammy Award winning one big mainstream hit. Right, yeah,

(01:05:28):
but you are clean up their version. He could have
done a lot of radio edited versions of his songs. Yeah.
The first thing of the night was Dr Dre Mother.
You know, like they've all they adjusted from the first second.
So I mean, yeah, alright, thank you, Greg, Tom the
Terrible in Boston. What's up? You want to go to

(01:05:50):
me after we go to see what's trending with Steve
to say Craig Mark, John Hank Tight All right, everybody,
Hank Tight eight seven nine on Fox, Let's go to
Steve Sagerc He was trending his Fox Sports Radio Cooper
Cups Super Bowl m v p is. The Rams came
back to win over Cincinnati tonight Cup with under a
minute and a half to go at a one yard

(01:06:10):
touchdown reception that ended a fifteen play touchdown drive. They
went seventy nine yards in fact Cup game, more first
downs on that game winning drive than he did the
first eleven drives combined. The last drive, he had five touches,
five first downs that included when they went forward on
fourth and one in their own half of the field
and gave it to Cooper Cup on an end a

(01:06:31):
round and he gained seven yards at a first down.
In history, Jerry Rice was the only other wide receiver
to in an NFL career, be a Super Bowl m
v P and win a receiving triple crown, and be
named NFL's Offensive Player of the Year. Cooper Cup got
all of those three things just this year, including Super
Bowl m VP tonight. In fact, if you look over

(01:06:51):
the last thirty years, the only Super Bowl MVPs who
were not first rounders who did not play at an
FBS school Cooper Cup and Kurt Warner, the two Rams
m vps. What a run for this postseason. The Rams
the first team in NFL history to win three games
by three points or less in a single postseason. They
finished six. Think of the think of the Rams path, right.

(01:07:15):
They beat Arizona, then I had to beat Tampa. Tampa
almost came back, and then they came back versus the
Niners the big lead. They had four fumbles at Tampa
and couldn't run in that game either. But I think
this team, I'm certainly saying, I'm not saying unimpressive, but
they they won, but it was not a clean right
through the playoffs, through the through the playoffs in the

(01:07:36):
Super Bowl. So congrats to the Rams for finding ways
to win. But they almost gave up a couple of
those games. They overcame their own error. It's like, you know,
against San Francisco. First quarter they throw an interception at
the goal line, second quarter, miss a field goal, third quarter,
stopped on third and one, fourth and one early fourth quarter,
run out of timeouts. They still come from ten points
down to beat San Francisco. And here they were down

(01:07:56):
a touchdown in the third quarter. They come back to win.
They sacked Joe Burrow seven times. Any Super Bowl quarterback
that's been sacked at least six has always lost. The
Bengals offense on third down conversions just three of fourteen tonight.
Rams were better in the red zone. They were better
in convert well, we've seen this was Cincinnati all postseason,
settling for field goals. Ram's got some key touchdowns. Twenty

(01:08:20):
twenty is the final at the Winter Olympics. US men's
hockey beat Germany three to two to advance to the
quarterfinals with a three and oh record. The US women's
hockey plays the semifinal tomorrow morning, our time against Finland,
Canada's winning at semifinal eight three in the second period
against Switzerland. In speed skating, American Aaron Jackson won gold
in the five hundred meters women's Bob's led US one

(01:08:41):
gold and silver tonight, and the ice dancing final, the
US finished third and fourth. Or reminder of the NASCAR
season officially starts next Sunday with the Daytona five hundred
on Fox TV and FS one will have this Thursday
night stool race. Suspect to you, they found when you
think about the Rams, no resilient, for sure, resilient games
that they almost blew, games that they were behind in. Sure.

(01:09:05):
He really summed it up there because the Rams did
not play a clean postseason, but yet they are Super
Bowl champions and you can't take it away from what
they and to show how the position has changed so much,
the running back position in the NFL, as Steve the
Sager talked about Cooper Cup matching some sweet accolades of
Jerry Rice, and we said, you know, Santonio Holmes, Heines, Ward,

(01:09:27):
Dion Branch there, Edelman, otherwide receivers that have won the
Super Bowl m v P quit looking at me Lin
Swan quit looking at me, Lin Swan. There is such
a running back by committee. You run the ball to
set up the past now more than ever in the NFL,
where unless a guy goes off for a hundred and

(01:09:48):
fifty yards, a running back is not gonna win the
m v P. Unless it's a guy that's also catching.
This is like a Deebo Samuel maybe yeah, like and
he's like a running back wide receiver. Com about those
Swiss Army Knights football. I can't I can't see a
running back winning the m v P unless it's a
Derrick Henry that just goes off for like two yards.

(01:10:10):
Because the last time a running back won the m
v P, you gotta go all the way back Terrell
Davis and the Denver Broncos twenty four years ago. So
the running back position is not one that's gonna win
an m v P of a big game. It's not
the way the game is played. Right now, let's go
back to the phone calls at eight seven see on

(01:10:30):
Fox Caveno and Rich. We are Caveno and Rich, we
are Fox Sports. I hope you enjoyed the Super Bowl.
I hope you had a good time. I gotta go
back to work to great dip. Your dip was a
home run. Oh my Buffalo chicken dip home run. Yeah,
so I should I say touchdown? My bad first down. First.
A lot of everybody did a lot of eating and drinking,

(01:10:52):
a lot of damage tonight, and we hope it was
worth it. Hope you had a good time. We talked
about the game. We'll talk about it again. It starts Tuesday. Yeah, diets,
we're gonna talk about that. Diet starts on Tuesday. Because
the most Valentine's Poppy, the most Valentine's Day, Papa, So
you might be going out to dinner. You got chocolates
Russell Stolle overs on deck for tomorrow, So you don't
want to start your new regiment tomorrow. We start that

(01:11:13):
on Tuesday. We'll talk about that later. But we gotta
get back to the phone, Tom and Boston. If you're
still there, Tom Rich, I want that. Damn. I thought
it was a pretty good game. I figured that the
rust have who just say it? But but the rest
kept the game pretty clean. But I'll tell you, but
as far I see halftime shows, I never watched these

(01:11:34):
half time shows. Turned it all right away. She was
like tomorrow you see three. You always anti American and
Dr Gray and snoop, drug police, sad. So everyone loved it.
Stop it Tom, who didn't love the super Bowl halftime show?
Let me guess you. Hey, I would never watch it anymore.

(01:11:55):
I'm never watching Tom get out of here A come on.
That was It was a fun super Bowl halftime show.
We love the police, and I still love I mean,
I like stings things, A great guy, the actual police.
Oh I like those guys. My uncle is a police.
One of my best friends the police, and and I

(01:12:16):
like super Bowl halftime show. You're allowed to like both
of those things. I'm like that old Del Passo tortilla girl.
Why not both? Why not both? That is also how
you feel about taco shells, That's why not. So we'll
still take your feedback on the halftime show. We gave
you our take on its top five. We we we
made our observation top five since stuff in the we

(01:12:38):
just wanted five of the last ten. I think if
you keep going back, it's maybe not top. I think
the biggest criticism is and it's a good one. We
wanted more if that was the fastest third team man,
because we wanted more so it's like I'll give you.
I'll give you the dumb analogy. You know, when you're
watching a show you love and you pause it to
go get a drink and likes, only eight minutes left
in the episode. Oh I wish, I wish it was

(01:12:59):
twenty minutes left in the episode. I think what Fitty
was doing in the club. I looked at you and
I was like, all right, let's let's uh, let's wrap this,
come on next. When you promised a lot in the bedroom.
But it's just really like it happens also fast, but
you had something I don't know. I wouldn't like, oh man,
it's gonna be so great, but it was so quick.
Kevin and Culver City, what's up, keV? What's up buddy?

(01:13:25):
Great halftime. So you know I want a hairstyles. I
connect barber's and uh hairstofs with customers. So seeing the
barbershop in the black and brown old businesses, that was huge.
Tom's Burger standing and Compton is a prominent l a landmark.
So that was great. Having a shout out to the
black owned businesses. I loved it. That's cool, that's you know.
I didn't even notice that Like I said, there was

(01:13:46):
a lot of chatter going on. Some things we did
not catch. Did you catch that boo? Of course I
yelled out when we was in here. It was like
Chris Plank was like, what are you talking about? So
you don't see that in the back? You know, Stabling Compton.
Come on, man, that's awesome. That is that's awesome. Hey again,
I'm sure there was a lot of things that I'm
thinking maybe there was some mons to two pots that

(01:14:06):
we didn't see. And I just want to give some
props to Matthew Stafford. That's the Hall of Fame drive.
That's what Joe Montana drive to bring the Rams back.
And Aaron Donald is the best player in the NFL.
He shook Joe Burrow and took over that whole game.
I think the turning point was that personal foul out
a bounce with that lineman. He fired up Aaron Donald,

(01:14:28):
he fired up the whole team. And I've never seen
Joe Burrow looks shook like that in the game. He
looked like a deer hit in the headlight. He looked
so shoot. When Aaron Donald took the game over and
got angry, he could have won the m v P.
He even and he closed out the game, right, so
you know, congratulations, such an impact player. Absolutely, such as

(01:14:49):
such an impact player. And Burrow even tried you see
him even he pulled up he pulled the garoppolo a
week later where he just sort of tossed up the
ball only Jimmy g did on third down. But like
that desperation, like I'm getting sacked, and that was like,
that was like a week way to end the game.
That's why we also felt like we were thinking, oh,
maybe a field goal ties it and then you get

(01:15:10):
over time. I thought it was yeah, I thought for
sure it was gonna, you know, be a little overtime action.
So your phone calls keep them coming. In eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox, we talked about the game.
We talked about Cooper Cup. We talked about you know,
when socializing takes precedence, that says a lot about the game.
It was a close game. It was kind of a
game unless you're a Rams fan. We talked about that

(01:15:32):
it's Rams house now, it's the Rams House here in
Los Angeles. We also talked about the performances and now
we gotta talk about the commercials a little bit and
This doesn't have the same same excitement that it used
to thanks to social media. But I think the common
theme was nostalgia. Really right for tonight, which one stood

(01:15:53):
out to you? Plus more takeaways, We'll talk football and
ballent Time's poppy. We got more cove you know en
Rich Live late Sunday night right here on Fox Sports Radio.
By the way, reading feedback on social media at cobing
on Rich Fox Sports Radio Football Sunday Fun Day. I

(01:16:18):
checked Facebook because I checked the Instagram and Twitter and
TikTok and everything already. I was, I gotta go on
the Facebook. You check TikTok? What are my friends? What
were the Onlin boys saying? I'm still a fan of
those guys. You love the other You're an island boy.
They're still trying to make it um. The only person

(01:16:38):
I've seen so far they were like that Super Bowl
stunk was my friend's mom And I'm like, yeah, you're
like seven day, I wrote, I wrote, I was like it,
but again, it's generational. You know, how do you expect
them to appreciate it? I guarantee my parents like this
is they probably want something like I don't know the
Chicago my friend's mom wrote, I must be getting old,

(01:17:01):
and I wrote, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're probably seven dish,
so yes, you know. I gotta throw this out there though,
for all the rock fans I do. I do Steve
Cavino here. I'm also on s x M Turbo for years.
I gotta say, you gotta have like a Metallica and
corn or something. You gotta you got it? Why not?
We just had hip hopa legends. Don't want it. People

(01:17:23):
don't want it just as much people want that. I mean,
people don't want here. I tell you I want it.
Metallica is huge. People don't want the other man's. You
just said, you said corn unless you're allergic to cool
then yeah, people don't want to even corns. You do
they have? I said, maybe mix it up with a few. Yeah,
Metica and corn and something else. You damn it? Why not?

(01:17:47):
So anyway, I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a fun
time of fun night. Congratulations to the Rams. The game
was a little boring a little bit, but it was
still a close one. But twenty three to twenty they're
changing the hot We would sign to Ram's house for
the next three weeks. According to Mayor Garcetti. We still
got Valentine's Day to talk about. But yeah, let's go

(01:18:07):
over to commercials, because again I was using that for well,
for a break, like you know, I was. I was
boozing a little bit, so I'd go to the bathroom
during the commercials. I didn't catch that many, but then again,
we live in a culture now where we've seen them
on social media. Waiting around for the commercials just isn't
what it used to be. The Internet and the hope

(01:18:28):
to go viral has killed the super Bowl commercial. It
used to be a part of the fabric of the
Big Game. It was it was the game, the super
Bowl halftime show, and what commercials It's like a week
ahead of time. They leak on social media and you're like, oh,
there's gonna be a Seth Rogan one, there's gonna be
one with the Colin Jostin Scar catch up with Mixed

(01:18:50):
Company and talk about the kids. But you know, as
we get into were there any memorable commercials? I do
want to point out we were mentioning all the Super
Bowl halftime shows over the last decade or so. I uh,
the most watched super Bowl halftime show of all time,
on network television. Katie Perry A hundred and eighteen plus
million people were watching when she performed with those dancing Sharks.

(01:19:11):
It wasn't the Sharks, they were tuned in and Shakira
and Jennifer Lopez was the most viewed super Bowl halftime
show on YouTube and based on metrics, And it wasn't
their songs. They were tuned in for you and based
on metrics, Uh, I mean super Bowl talented performers. The
super Bowl halftime show with Shakira and j Low it
was possibly the quote world most watched popular halftime show

(01:19:31):
of all time. Well they're also international superstars, both of them.
So anyway, tonight's we said his top five, we were critical,
but it was still great. And feedback about top five ever,
top five of the last Top five A seven seven
ninety nine on Foxes our number at Covino and Rich
at Fox Sports. On social media at Steve Covino, Everage Davis,

(01:19:55):
most interactive, most inclusive show that's on live right now
Sunday night. Uh so us a call we want to
hear from you? The commercials Again, my takeaway from what
I noticed, Jim Carrey is the cable Jim carries the
it's a lot of nostalgia. No, it wasn't it. I
mean that was good. I liked it, right, I liked it.
Um the q you said, the QR code got you
right from the get go. It wasn't a good commercial

(01:20:16):
when it got me, the coin based commercial. You saw
that it was just one, but it was bouncing QR
code and I'm like, damn it, you got me. And
I went up to the TV with my phone and
much like every other idiot, I scanned the TV and
spine you like the Sopranos one. We'll talk about it next.

(01:20:39):
All right, another hour fun post game super Bowl and
Rich and I just say, what a great season, ups
and downs, so good, A lot of fun being here
every week every Sunday, Sunday Funday with you guys. What
a season, and it all came down to tonight. Congratulations
to the Rams, but a big thanks to Fox Sports

(01:21:00):
Radio taking a chance on us. A lot of fun
in the off season. Yeah, probably doing a lot more
fillins as people probably take some time off now. But
what a great season and what a ride it was
for us, and I hope you guys enjoyed it. Hanging
with us every Sunday Night. Shout out to Bobo, Danny g, Steve,
to Seger, Ralph Iervan, everybody has been part of this

(01:21:22):
with us, Scott Shapiro, great football season, super Agent, Shoan Wyreman,
and yeah, an amazing, an amazing football season. Can we
hear the call from the local l A radio station
on that Cooper Cup touchdown? Steve Steger, I knew we
played it a couple of hours ago. I think the broadcaster, well,
look back and say, man, the passion I had that

(01:21:45):
he had a Peter Brady. I think his voice cracked
when he said Cup the first time fund center steps
back pros the fake back shoulder. Cooper Cups got it down.
Touchdown talk. So hey, butter Cup, Buttercup, m v P,

(01:22:10):
m v B Most Valuable butter butter Cup. So congratulations
to him and again to the Rams twenty again. I'm
Steve Cavino, that is Rich Davis, and that is Spot.
Now we're making all these obvious and observations on the
game tonight. Talked to everything about the game, halftime commercials

(01:22:31):
Odell Beckham Jr's hair. I mean, he he proved impactful, right,
which was awesome. He was having a heck of a game.
He has he ever rocked the purple hair before? Because
I couldn't help but notice that, let me call it
is the Barbara Beef kick. We call uh the Zohan No.
I actually googled this. He has had the purple hair before,
so it wasn't a debut of any sorts. I know

(01:22:53):
it's it's a stupid and a very mild take, but
I noticed it, and I'm like, you gotta think about it.
These moments live for ever. Here's why it brings true
to me as a fight fan. Right. I don't think
they don't put a lot of thought into the trunks
they're wearing, how the hair is shaped up, what sort
of do they're going for? Is their beard trimmed? Dump?
You know what I mean? Like they put thought into

(01:23:14):
that because that could be a big title fight, a
moment that lives on forever. Thought goes into this. So
oh b J is playing in the super Bowl, He's
catching Super Bowl touchdowns. The purple hair is going to
be part of the highlight reel, part of the Remember
you would get those s I like films when your
team wins the VHS, part of the montage forever. But

(01:23:38):
forever rocking purple hair that, in my opinion again very nippicky.
He was impactful, He was great tonight before he got
hurt clashes with the uniform. Wasn't a fan of it.
Wasn't a fan of that look at all, not not
especially that it's gonna live on in this way. Now.
I gotta give Steve the s the Update guy, the

(01:24:01):
credit for his observation on the Rams and Steve, you
were saying that this team overcame so many mistakes and
our Super Bowl champions. Yeah, they started the season seven
and one, and the second half of the season they
were five and four, so they were completely averaged the
second half, and the four losses were the playoff teams.
An awful game against Tennessee, lost in the Niners, twice,

(01:24:23):
lost at Green Bay, and once Stafford gets that first
playoff win against Arizona, we have these three close games
in a row, and they literally could have lost all
three of those games if those have been regular season matchups.
They overcame themselves. I mean blowing that huge lead in Tampa,
just that alone, and still getting the cup long bomb
at the end of the field goal to win anyway,

(01:24:44):
that's just crazy. Would be easy on themselves, and they
overcame themselves. And that's how you gotta say. You gotta
say this team was good enough to overcome just what
they needed to do to win these close games that,
like Steve said, could have gone either way. I was
just looking at some of the ighlights online right now,
and I forgot about the Cooper Cup tipped past that

(01:25:05):
was an interception. Like even Cooper Cup, you know, tipped
up a ball that was picked. So the Rams overcame.
And if you want to play staff boy, a couple
of things I've been joking about with you all week,
and you keep saying, who cares, No one knows. It's
all superstitious. The white jerseys yet again, yet again. They

(01:25:26):
were fourteen and three over the last seventeen years. Now
they're fifteen and three over the last eighteen years. And
they didn't the Bengals were the home team and had
the choice. They chose black. And the Bengals had went
on that hot streak where those sweet white jerseys the
whole playoffs. They went with the home Bengals black jersey
and the Super Bowl again. Oh b J has purple

(01:25:47):
hair again. Yeah, I'm pretty sure, but I'm just saying
the held zero. Wait, but again, the white jersey over
the last eighteen season s fifteen and three, and the
coin toss one that we joked about. It's now eight
years in a row that the team that wins the
coin toss has lost. And that's the same thing in reverse, guys,
because the Rams had the call, they just blew the

(01:26:08):
call on the coin toss. So it happened. Happened to
be that Cincinnati won the coin toss. But yeah, coin
toss winner becomes the Super Bowl loser eight straight years.
Wrapping up the other commercial observations to um spot was
was one a standout to you, Spotty because you said
something about the Sopranos. I totally missed it. It was
a Sopranos reference. It was a Chevy. They recreated the intro,

(01:26:31):
the iconic intro to the Sopranos of this smoll And
then we've got some gobbagoule Jamie Lynn Sigler who played
Then I woke up the next day and got some
pretty much shot for shot with a few updates, but
there it was. I believe a Chevy All Electric Silverado
keep getting up and getting but yeah, it was. That

(01:26:56):
was cool. It was. It was a cool meadow and
a Jamie the game and then she at the and
she gets out, she meets up with a j And
then I saw another commercial with some rechargeable dog, some
sort of charged the car commercial that they were kind
of weak. It doesn't have the same hype that it
used to have the commercials. So again, those are are observations.

(01:27:17):
I keep want to say. Obvious servations are obvious observations
here on the Caveno. You put more bellies in your
coffee stop Fox Sports Radio Covino and Rich Steve Covino,
Rich Davis spot the producer. Now other observations and more
feedback and phone calls. Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox,

(01:27:38):
we were at Rich's house and first and first mostly
gotta say, you gotta thank the host right being a host,
it's kind of thankless, it really is. You gotta provide
food and treats for everybody. It's all this pressure and
make sure everybody have a has a good time. Is
your company mingling together, then you gotta clean up. And
I don't mind. I don't mind for anyone listening that

(01:28:00):
has kids. If your friends and people you hang with
and your family allow you to host. It saves you
from dragging the kids somewhere, and it saves you from
having to maybe get a babysitter. So there's a big
fight night or a game or something. I welcome you guys,
and I'll pay for food and drinks every time, because
I just you're making it easier for me that I

(01:28:21):
don't have to worry about. You can steal every event
because I gotta have a fight night one of these. Yeah,
you can have kids. Just because you have kids, you
get every every event. But trust I'm thanking all the
hosts out there you have. If you had your buddies over,
you know, you're probably still carrying garbage bags out as
we speak. You know, cans and mess and people have

(01:28:41):
an accidents and spilling stuff at your place, dragging in mud.
And during the commercial, I went to the kitchen because
we're working from the home studio tonight, and I just
put the dips in the fridge because I'm like, God,
they're gonna go bad. And then now you have to
decide what do you keep. And I'm like, oh, I
want to start eating well, but there's like a whole
strum mooli dips and everything I'm like, oh, you know.
The positive is though a lot of people, a lot

(01:29:03):
of people bring booze, so you are now the recipient
of all the leftover extra booze, which is always a perk.
But again, if we're gonna be nitpicky about everything tonight
because we're making observations, spot board it not before. If
you're gonna go to someone's house to watch a game,
they have to have the proper sound or company has
to zip it a little bit because some people just

(01:29:26):
don't care. And I get Hey, I get that too.
You don't care about that game, that's fine, but guess what,
it's the Super Ball Dame. Every was not was not
my sound my soundbar, and it was just not enough.
And the reality was I wonder because no one was
honed in on the game. But that's also you don't

(01:29:48):
want to take away from anybody's fun. But at the
same time, it's like, yo, dude, you don't care, but
I watched every game almost leading up to this, so like,
give me a little like but you know, I meet
it a little bit. But what I'm saying youversation somewhere,
what I'm saying is no one at this party was
a Rams fan or a Bengals fan. I get that

(01:30:09):
if this was if the Niners were in this game,
or we had a friend over who was like a
Patriots fan or a Steelers fan, or you know, but
I have to wear with Alton like zip it a
little bit. If I went to someone's house, I don't
know everybody there in their interest level. I'm gonna be
a little respectful. I'm not gonna be like the social event.
I disagree with the Super Bowl spot. That's why we

(01:30:31):
hear anything. I couldn't hear anything and hear any commentary.
Let me let me tell you. Any opinion you've heard
tonight is strictly from my like my observation of trying
to watch while people were just so chatty the whole time.
And I get it. It's fun, bro, I'm not trying
to take away from the fun. Fun is the number
one goal for your Super Bowl part. But I couldnt

(01:30:53):
hear any of the game the crowd. No one wanted
to hear the game, to be honest, Hello, how many
weeks did we want football? I wanted to watch the game,
I know, but I agree the sound could have been
better and it will next time. But I asked Rich
to put on the subtitles. I'm serious, and he didn't.
I kept thinking, though, it was like, I'm looking around
my wife. Everyone's girlfriend or wife is in the kitchen.

(01:31:17):
They weren't invested all year. I know. But what I'm
saying is that it's like the game itself. Go to
sofa today. I could promise you have the people that
stadium are not the die hard fans. They're rich people
that got tickets or the relative of someone important that
got the tickets. I've been the Super Bowls where I
spent my harder money a lot for a ticket. So
I'm sitting next to some corporate says were playing tonight.

(01:31:39):
You have said, respectfully to your company, Hey, yeah, the
kids are great. Zip it four times, we're in it.
I'm not quite sure I would have had as big
as many people over because I would have been more
honed in because I had an interest. This was a
This is an equivalent of a Thursday night game that
you would have been like, Oh, it's cool, I'll watch it,
but it's a super Bowl, so you again, this game

(01:32:00):
was the victim regardless. This game was a victim of
the best post season ever, and it just happened to
be Well, you said your best analogy before you said
you went to a concert and who opened for a
limp Biscuit? I said for open for Limpiscuit. And then
by the time Limpiscuit got there, like, yeah, we already
saw the best thing. We already saw Mahomes and Josh Allen.

(01:32:23):
We already saw Aaron Rodgers in the snow versus the
Niners defense. We already saw the better game. So take
away from the fact that you needs around sound really
not again, And I don't want to sound like an ingrate.
I just don't know a great host. He had great food,
he had great booze, but I couldn't hear anything. I
just don't know how much louder we would have put
it when people were having so much fun, just yet

(01:32:43):
louder than your buddies talking about their softball game this
past weekend. That's how loud it should have been. Do
you agree, spun it's a it's the super ball spot
with socializing. More than anyone should consume you, the sound
should consume you would have wanted to be if you
if you go to a bar, do you want to
hear all the chat you want to hear the game depends.
Hey eight on Fox is the one takeaway, the one

(01:33:07):
negative downfall of having a mixed company that don't care
about the game. That's why a lot of times, if
you I can understand, one of our buddies, unfortunately is
a big Bengals fan, so I'm sure he's really bummed
out he wanted to watch a game focused by himself.
It sounds like a really nerdy sports thing. But if
your team is in the big game, super Bowl, World Series,

(01:33:27):
NBA Finals, and it's really a game that you probably
care way more than you should about, I recommend maybe
watching that game by yourself. I've watched. I've watched plenty
of big forty Niners games or Mets games with very
few people because I'm like, you know, I want to
focus Bengals. No one really wanted to focus. It's the

(01:33:50):
super Bowl. If you're gonna care about any game, if
you're if you're not a football fan, if you're gonna
care about any game, it's one game super My wife
said it best. I I just asked her, what like
talking about the kids? Uh, you know, how he's doing
in classes? It's more important than the super Bowl. And
that most people that don't watch all. My wife said

(01:34:11):
it best. I said, Babe, you watch footbath of me
every week. My wife is a football fan. I go,
what do you think the lack? What? What was it
lacking tonight? And my wife pointed out that people know
the people that she was talking to, the people that
she was talking to, it lacked Chris Collinsworth's commentary because
I couldn't hear anything. But aside from that was great.

(01:34:32):
That's and that's no knock on you that you hosted
a great event event. I couldn't hear the game. That's
that's a separate issue from what I'm saying. I agree
you want to be not hear the game. I couldn't
hear the super clear. I heard your budd's talking about softball.
That's what I should have moved your seat. No, they
should have took their conversation elsewhere. That's the problem. That's

(01:34:55):
the party. It's a Super Bowl part It's not it's
like a watching times. It's a halftime show. Respect. Let's
get a dog, Doug Scots some inside Doug, what's up, buddy?
Hey guys. Yeah, first of all, a first time caller,
and uh thanks, uh man, Yeah, I went to. This

(01:35:15):
wasn't for the super Bowl. It was for the one
of the conference championship games or conference game for the Packers.
Big Packers fan went to my local bar just down
the street, and that happens to be across the street
from you know, an event center, watching the game. Listen
to the game. That got the audio one. I'm happy.
And then all of a sudden, the hockey game across
the street gets let out at halftime. Well, sure enough,

(01:35:35):
they all come rolling in. They take over the jukebox,
they take over the audio. I got nothing. I can't
hear the game. This is my favorite place. It's like
my hometown place. Turn around, walked out, found a bar
that that hat off. Yeah, I listen if I'm at
a bar. If I'm in a bar and I want
to hear the game, I will be like, hey, are
you playing the volume of the game, So listen. You know,
gripe is legit. This's just this isn't any game man

(01:35:58):
knows grip is legit. But if you think all the
wives and girlfriends and some of the guys that didn't
even care about football were wanted to be honed, did
on Collins Chris Collins Worth and Al Michaels at least
understanding of maybe the fact that some people did all.
We got Warrior feedback the post super Ball show, Covino,

(01:36:19):
Rich Fox Sports Radio, your feedback next, I'm telling you,
if we're gonna have a hip hop show and it delivered,
it was awesome. We've gotta have like a metal show
corn Metallica. How about the food Fighters. They did some
sort of virtual metaverse show tonight, some sort of rock,
real rock for a halftime show. There's no audience for it.

(01:36:42):
Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio props to the
performance this year, though we put it top five in
the past ten plus years. Did someone let him down yet?
If he's not upside down right, still there? Still there,
still down? I saw a meme where you know the
guy who's so stressed the veins popping out of his
head that meme. Yeah, Yes, I saw a fit. He

(01:37:03):
said he was upside down, as Fitty said, the stressed
out like wanting to say something, veins popping out of
his neck. Kid anyway, Steve Cavino, Rich Davis Spot, Danny
g Bobo, Steve de Seger, Fox Sports Radio, Fox Football
Sunday Funday seasons over. Congrats to the Rams. We're live

(01:37:23):
from the Rams House. It's not Hollywood anymore. MS House,
Ram's House, MS House and according to Marry Garciti. And
we'll get to more feedback at eight seven seven on Fox.
You know, before we go to the phone calls, I
just want to make two quick thoughts and points. Joe Burrow,
let's hope for his sake and Bengals fans, this is

(01:37:47):
not a Dan Marino Part two. Dan Marino, young handsome,
got some attitude, brought the Miami Dolphins to the Super
Bowl second year of his career and never went back.

(01:38:07):
I talked about it all the time, that little window,
the little window of opportunity. If you get there, you
have to win. Joe Burrow for his likable as he is,
Joe burr Ice in his veins, well the coolest dudes
in the NFL. Now has to go back to the
drug board and find a way to beat any combination

(01:38:28):
of mahomes. Josh Allen, you know, Justin Herbert's only gonna
get better too. Who else is coming to the a
f C. It's Lamar Jackson. Maybe we count this guy out,
but still for all we know, Baker Mayfield has a
big comeback yere, So Joe Burrow to get back here,
it is not easy. So that's the way you look

(01:38:48):
at him and say, oh, man, you know, let's you
know what I noticed too, don't get this opportunity. He's
got some U swag, right, and when he's playing well
and when he wins, it works for him. Right. So
when he's walking into the locker room today, he's got
like some zebra print suit on. I wouldn't even know
how to describe it. And he's got like a mounty hat,
like he's really rocking and dripping the swag oo, But well,

(01:39:11):
how would you describe? But ng you saw his suit, right,
So when he's rolling into the locker room to the game,
looks a lot of cooler leaving the game if you win.
When you roll in that way, you're like, man, look
at the confidence. This guy does not lack confidence. But
when you roll out of the game rocking that same outfit,
he just like like a clown who lost, you know
what I mean, he doesn't have doesn't have the same vibe.

(01:39:34):
So that was my observation. Gad, what else, It's like
those yellow sunglasses he had on after he beat my Raiders.
He's like half dork and half pimp. You know, he's
pimp when he wins, but like kind of dorky when
he loses. But ahead, Richie said he had two more points,
one more, one more that you're you're gonna hear a

(01:39:56):
lot and it'll You saw the Madden document, don't you?
Who was released? Right? Yeah? I always love is the
place because I agree with the people love to reference
how Yeah, John Madden was really young. Winning Super Bowl
coach Sean McVeigh tonight became thirty five the youngest thirty six.

(01:40:18):
Sean McVeigh thirty six years old and one month. Madden
won a Super Bowl with the Raiders at forty years
eight months. Who were the other two coaches in between them?
Two other coaches under forty have won a Super Bowl.
Madden did it at forty, McVeigh did it at thirty six.

(01:40:39):
Two other head coaches in the last twenty years. Who
are they? Just tell me think about that. We'll go
to the phone calls. Maybe you can answer. I'll give
it to you in a second. Let's start with George
and Northridge. George caven on Retch, what's up man, what's up? Guys, Hey, Bud,
it's going on. Great show. I love it, big fan.

(01:41:02):
Congratulations to the Rams. I just wanted basically touch bases ago.
I couldn't help. But hear you guys talking about the
halftime show that day was top five. I'm just curious,
why do you think that that is top five. I'll
tell you why, because those songs were the soundtrack to
our life. Those songs, they were smacked. They weren't just songs.

(01:41:23):
So those are smashes, transcendent generations, transcendent time. Lose Yourself
Alone is one of the best songs ever period. Agree
with you on that, But I'm talking about super Bull performances.
A performance. I'm talking about when you look at Michael
Jackson performances. George, George, I gotta tell you. That's why

(01:41:47):
if you listen to that conversation earlier, a little clearer,
you could listen on the podcast later. If you guys
are missed at the beginning of the show. No, I'm
not being sarcastic, George. That's why I pulled back and
I was like, all right, we're talking to the last
ten of years. I went from like tents until now
the last like alright, I'll be honest to bring up

(01:42:07):
Prince or Michael Jackson or anything like, because then you
started to say, well, I don't know Gaga, timber Lake,
Bruno Mars, and it started to become a little like,
all right, maybe it's not a top level of all time.
Let's not get carried away. I wouldn't put it better
than that, but I mean, I will say this. Look,
I went to middle school and I'm a nineties kid.
I feel you. That was definitely a soundtrack to my childhood.

(01:42:30):
But as performance wife, it was just so like I
knew what was going to happen next, Eminem's coming up.
Oh get ready guys to listen to Lose yourself. It
was just like, yeah, that's a that's a fair if.
I said, I thought the car I refused a little
off too. Didn't notice that the overhead shots. I was

(01:42:51):
like that, he'll see nothing special here going on. I
hate to say this, and I love the ramp, I
love the super Bowl lot. You know, great performers. I
love mall, but honestly that performance was more for like
the Teen Choice Awards than a super Bowl performance. I mean,
I'm sorry, you know what. It was a West Coast
game that started in the afternoon. Here, let's be honest.

(01:43:12):
I think things not being under the lights. Now, George,
that might sound like a silly observation, but truthfully, when
when the halftime show has the fans with lights and
the lights are at it's in a dome or in
the East Coast, and if it's an East Coast venue,
you know the Super Bowls and night game. When it's
a West Coast venue, you're looking at a late afternoon game,

(01:43:33):
and I think the Super Bowl halftime show if you're
lacking lights and cameras and cool nighttime effects, yeah, you
gotta lose a little something. Thanks for the called brother,
Let's go to Katie and Milwaukee. Katie could be no wretch. Hello, Hey, Hey,
what's up? Okay, So I have two questions. Actually, first
of all, I was kind of busy because I almost

(01:43:55):
started after the game. And because it's a long story,
I made Spaghettio's Something Fell on the Oven and it excellently. Yeah. Anyway,
my question is who was the MVP at the Super Bowl?
Cooper Cup? But right, okay, yeah, I should Okay, Soilaritus
Gerald was wrong when he made his prediction. I'm just

(01:44:17):
clear you just want to double check. By the way,
that must have been some spaghettio spill. She forgot the
whole she she missed the whole. Cooper Cup MVP, just
when you dropped spaghettios and the spaghettios better question spaghettios
for super Bowl? So, Katie, who are you cooking for
your little kids? Are you? Are you serving spaghettios to
your friends at the super Bowl party? My brother wasn't

(01:44:38):
expecting me to come and watch the super Bowl at
his house. And yeah, that's the only thing they had
that was quick and easy. And I just made some spaghettios.
I bumped into the oven and there was something on
the oven and it went up in flames. The super
Bowl party I'm not going to next year. Katie's her
stop up in flames and you had to make spaghettos,

(01:44:58):
Katie kicking him from the kitchen break Thank you, Katie,
have a good night. I don't want, I don't want
to take your time. Did they at least have the
beatballs at him? Oh my god, Gunner in Minnesota, Gunner,
what's up? Man? Hey Gunner much? Hey Gunnar? Would you
serve spaghettios and a Super Bowl party. Oh no, what's

(01:45:21):
going on? Man? Oh not much. I like that game.
That was a good game that I'm I'm not saying
by the team because I'm a panther van here. I'm
just glad to finally one super Bowl. Yeah, say yeah, listen.
I think that if you want to go, good storyline
and thank you. I think you like the Super Bowl

(01:45:42):
and I think you like the open bar or if
you were um, I just called the chat. I know
what's up the national radio. This guy had six hundred
radio stations on the edge of their seat waiting here
that it's a little late. How you do so? Anyway?
Can I say to the East Coast because we're live

(01:46:02):
from the Rams House Lide from l A right now, Rich,
Happy Balentine's Day, Poppy. I want to wish everyone on
the East Coast before anyone else does, a happy Valentine's Day.
And I want to wish you all happy Valentine's Day.
And I also want to ask you this, if someone
says Valentine's then do automatically disqualfroy them from your life?
Is that your question? No, my dad still says Valentine's
valentimes Time's Day. I don't I don't have hard to

(01:46:27):
correct them. I want to make a rule. We're gonna
make a rule right after we go to Steve the
Sager about Balentine's Day tomorrow. All right, hold on, Steve
the Sacre. Besides the update, I want you to give
us one piece of love advice. It is Valentine's Day now,

(01:46:49):
so you can think about it. No, probably not gonna
think about it. No love advice from uh, No love
from Steve. No, no love for you. Steve. He left
me hanging like Ernie Johnson and he was it was
Kevin Durance. Yeah, that's a no. But it's a quick answer. Yeah,

(01:47:10):
you're talking great stories. Can I just say the name
Eric Weddell because last game he was the leading tackler
for the Rams nine, A guy who was retired for
two years until these playoffs and now he's retired again
after a Super Bowl and five tackles tonight. And that's great.
That's just incredible to me. Great story. Well, come back
win for the Rams at Super Bowl six fifty six,

(01:47:31):
their house beating Cincinnati. You know, Cooper Cup and Aaron
Donald were each unanimous All pros this season. That's the
list of the best of both conferences combined and Cooper
Cup is Tonight's Super Bowl m v P and Aaron
Donald led the defense that on the final drive for
the Bengals stopped him laid on third and one and
fourth and one. Bengals didn't have a great run to
get here tonight. Their record as of mid December was

(01:47:54):
seven and six after an overtime lost to San Francisco,
and still they made it to the Super Bowl, but
on red zone tds last game one for four red
zone tds tonight one for three, while the Rams were
three for three, including the TD to Cooper Cup with
under a minute and a half to go, a one
yard reception that ended a fifteen play touchdown drive. Joe
Burrow was sex seven times in the loss. Cooper Cup

(01:48:16):
had already passed Michael Irvin's NFL record twelve hundred yard
games in one season. This topped an incredible season. In fact,
the Rams record when Cup had a touchdown catch fourteen
and one this year when he did not score a
touchdown two and four. They've only been two players in
NFL history with at least nineteen hundred yards receiving in
a season, Cooper Cup this year and Calvin Johnson both

(01:48:38):
had Matthew Stafford as their quarterbacks. Stafford got his first
career playoff win that game against Arizona, three total touchdowns
in that game, highest passer rating by a Rams quarterback
ever in a playoff game that night. So a guy
who in twelve years with the Lions win oh and
three in playoff games in his first year with the
Rams four and oh this postseason, and at the age

(01:48:59):
of thirty three, he set career highs in completion percentage, passing, touchdown.
Stafford at over forty touchdown passes this year, second only
to Tom Brady. So he gets a Super Bowl ring
and onto next year with a Rams home schedule will
include a Dallas visit. Buffalo will be at the Rams.
Raiders at Rams. There's a Rams Chargers regular season game
which will technically be a Rams road game, but tonight

(01:49:20):
was technically a Rams rum game as well. By the way,
if you think your team can make a Bengals like
run and make the Super Bowl, it's the NFL. So
the answer probably yes, because half the teams in the
playoffs this year did not even make the postseason a
year ago, like Cincinnati, and this this postseason, remember wild
Card weekend, we had the blowouts. We're wondering how good

(01:49:40):
it could be. And then Division A round. All four
games come down to the final play the two conference championships,
each decided by a field goal. Tonight the touchdown in
the last two minutes to win for the Rams. So
we wind up with nine playoff games decided by seven
points or less. That's now our record. The previous two
postseason combined it was only eight. So the next three

(01:50:00):
postseason Super Bowl sites Arizona, Las Vegas, and New Orleans.
At the Winter Olympics, US men's hockey beat Germany three
two to advance to the quarterfinals with a three and
oh record. US women's hockey plays the semifinal tomorrow morning
our time against Finland. Canada has won a semifinal ten
three over the Swiss. Canadian women have been incredible this tournament.
Tonight they outshot the Swiss sixty one to thirteen in

(01:50:23):
a sixty minute game. In speed skating, American Aaron Jackson
won gold in the five hundred meters ice dancing final.
US finish third and fourth, and women's Bob's led US
one gold and silver. NASCAR season officially starts on Fox
TV next Sunday with the Daytona five hundred Back to you,
Thank you. A few things we're gonna get to before
the end of the show. But Steve pointed out before

(01:50:46):
the Rams playing in tight games. I just looked at
their schedule other than the wild card game with a
blue out Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. They finished their
season with a one point win over the Ravens the
Niners beat them, then a three point victory over the Bucks,
three point victory over the Niners, three point victory over

(01:51:09):
the Bengals, like five of their last six games were
three points, are less of this game. This team just
found the way even though no matter how many mistakes
they made, the Rams found the way to become Super
Bowl champions. So you gotta give them credit for finding
away every time tighter than our jeans after the holiday season, right, Dan,

(01:51:29):
And here's what I gotta say about Valentine's Day Pampa
after the Super Bowl party. Yeah, I'll tell you what,
you have, one more day of fun, one more day
of fun. Think about it. Football's over, so we start
focusing on the NBA All Stars, NBA Playoffs, Baseballs about
a month away, pitchers and catchers start focusing on the

(01:51:51):
springtime the summer, and we always wait, right, we're like
professional crastinators. Yeah, I'll start getting fit come around maybe
a you know, come May. You're looking sloppy when it's
beach time. Let's be real about this. We all made
a pact here on the show that yeah, you know what,

(01:52:11):
during the holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, we're all gonna be slabs
until February and then we hold each other accounting and
then we're all everyone listening, Let's do it, bo Bo,
Danny j S, everybody. We're gonna hold each other accountable
because we don't want to be the weak link and
the skinny fat guy at the beach this year. Right,

(01:52:31):
And it all starts on Tuesday, because tomorrow's Valentine's Day.
That means Russell Stover's. That means dinners, that means, you know,
a little romance. You might be eating something. Who knows
you're gonna be stuff in your face something. So we're
gonna give you one more day because today, let's be honest,
probably the damage chips and dips and wings and you're
hanging out with your boy Petez so international. I'm gonna

(01:52:53):
get my routine going something. We're starting, and it doesn't
mean you gotta like, you know, go hard at the gym,
like you gotta stop eating like crap. That's the first step, right,
diet starting on Tuesday, so tomorrow you don't have all
the fun you want. It's Bonentine's Day, Papa, enjoy yourself.
I'm going at the dinner tomorrow. I am, I'm I'm
made reservations. It's right, Unlike you played ahead. I thought

(01:53:16):
I had reservations. I got my chocolates, I'm I'm ready.
But come Tuesday, I'm just throwing it out there. Yeah,
you know, I'm sick of feeling like like a slob.
Time to step it up. Fun if you think you're
the only one that's like, you know what the world's
thinking right now. Every start, but then I always say next,

(01:53:37):
because something always comes up, someone's birthday, someone's get together.
Tuesday is a great time for anyone to say, you
know what, I'll step up my diet. I'll step up
my gym routine. Tuesday the fifteen. Now I have a question.
I want to pose. They'll take a break, we'll come
back with some answers to this. I know a lot

(01:53:58):
of people say tomorrow's amateur, and I get all that
I want to I want to give you a good time.
I also want to give you quickly the answer to
the question I asked you four youngest coaches, I said,
McVeigh became the youngest at thirty six, Madden forty. I
said there was two coaches in between, Mike Tomlin the
second youngest, thirty six years nine months and John John

(01:54:18):
Gruden thirty nine years old and five months. So the
four youngest coaches everyone the Super Bowl McVeigh, Tomlin, Gruden
and Madden. And the question I want to ask you,
is this based on an action pack weekend of eating
and drinking and hanging with your friends and families. Super
Bowl people getting out there again, hanging, schmoozing and boozing.

(01:54:41):
If you turn to your significant other and say, hey, listen,
we just had a crazy week, is that a push
in it? Let's go out next weekend for Valentine's Day?
What a reasonable wife or girlfriends say? Sure? Or are
you a lazy guy for even suggesting taken tomorrow off?
Because if you if you're with someone guy or girl
that can't accept that, you know, it's just not a
long weekend. We're eating and drinking. We're at your friend's house,

(01:55:03):
last life for the Super Bowl? Do we really need
to go out tonight? Now you're prolonging your new regiment.
I know because now you're next week because you didn't
make your reservations for the same based on the eighteen
weeks of NFL. Now on the extra week and everything.
Is a guy selfish to ask his girl to postpone
Valentine's Day? Yes, I think so. I think I think

(01:55:25):
you're just trying to justify for all the idiots that
forgot its Vantine's Day tomorrow. Just if if guys are listen,
even if a woman was like, let's let's not do
it tomorrow, your thoughts and as of now, Vegas has
put it the odds for next year's Super Bowl winner,
and the guy and the team that just won the
Super Bowl is not at the top of the list
that will explain and give you the odds in Vegas. Next,

(01:55:47):
I'm giving a Rich Yeah, still the best live band
these eyes have ever seen. Some rage, some rage at
halftime anyways. Cavino and Rich, Fox Sports Radio, Steve Cavino,
Rich Davis, Spotty, Danny G. Bobo Steve Disiger, Thank you guys.

(01:56:09):
This whole season has been a fun times they've been
any takeaway that we missed, Danny J Bobo, anything that
you're like, Yeah, the guys didn't mention this because I
feel like it was a good game, wasn't the greatest game.
Rams proved again that they find they find a way.
That's that's the big takeaway. They find way. And because
the Super Bowl is very social event, because the game

(01:56:30):
didn't have the big superstars and it really wasn't the
best game, and maybe a little little yappy people at
a party. I don't know any anything you guys. You
guys didn't get political and talk about Eminem taking a
knee during Yeah, I just started to see that on
social media. We're wondering if he should have explained, if
he wasn't right, if he did it. Supposedly the NFL

(01:56:54):
told him not to do it, and he did it
to rep for Kaepernick. Well you know what that that is.
That's a storyline that I'm sure people will talk about
only just super Bowls over now, so they're gonna find
something to time. So he took a knee and Burrows
screamed over his knee oh yeah. Yeah. When he when
Burrows on the ground scream, I didn't think he was

(01:57:16):
going to come back in the game. That showed that
close up and you could see it was like, oh man,
that's gotta hurt. Yeah. I think we were spoiled with
that guy this year. Man, we saw a true superstar
in the making. Stafford got his due, right, he did
his time, he came through, he won. But I don't
think Joe Burrows going anywhere so well. But he's a

(01:57:36):
tough dude. He's got a lot of swag. He'll be
in the mix. He'll be in the mix. But I'm saying,
once you get there and you don't win, there's plenty
of good quarterbacks that never got another chance. Right. Kaepernick
had his chance for the forty Niners. So did Jimmy Garoppolo.
There's other guys that made it to the super Bowl.
Like I said, Matt Ryan, Dan Marino, there's great quarterbacks
that get there that because they lost, the fans back,

(01:58:00):
we'll get back. It's not easy to get back. It's
not easy to get back. Danny g Your Raiders got there,
you know with with Gruden and they lost to the Bucks,
and it was like well, this team is great. Well
they didn't get back. You know, sometimes teams don't get back.
You get there, you lose, you don't get back. Now,
look at the odds for Vegas going into next season.

(01:58:24):
The Rams plus one thousand, so you bet a hundred
to win a thousand. Their third on the list. By
the way, pressure on Arizona. Like I said, three years
in the Bengals plus undred. Then you got the forty
Niners plus fourteen hundred. Those are teams three, four and
five to win the Super Bowl next year. Rams. Since

(01:58:45):
you're two teams tonight, then you got to forty Niners, Packers, Cowboys,
and it goes on and on. By far, the overwhelming
favorites for the Super Bowl next year Kansas City number
one and the Buffalo Bills number two, which just proves
that we feel like we saw the Super Bowl two
weeks ago, three weeks ago. Even though this is not

(01:59:05):
taking anything away from the Rams, your super Bowl champs,
but the consensus is the two best teams played a
few weeks ago, and we saw the best game of
the year, which is why you know, when we look back,
we're gonna remember this as a you know, a good
game Stafford One, Beato Burrow. But in the moment, we're
living in the moment, and we just realized we saw
so many great games that this game just was great.

(01:59:26):
It's a good game, but not as good as what
we saw over the last month. It's pretty much it.
That's our takeaway. And uh, you're already thinking about next year.
I hope to be there. I hope to be there
with you guys Arizona. Yeah, let's go, let's sef and
go Alright, so we're Cavino and Rich. I hope you
enjoyed the show. So I just say, baseball and uh,

(01:59:48):
dig into the NBA a little bit more time to
shift the focus. Enjoy your Valentine's poppy, you know, enjoy
your day, start working working out on the were a
new workout, a new diet and dude, and start focusing
on baseball and basketball. Is a shift. It's a shift
of focus, that's all it is. Yeah, and I'm excited
for baseball and basketball. I think we could have asked

(02:00:09):
for nothing more out of the NFL season. Looking back now, yeah,
you wish you I know, everyone's like, what wish my
team was in the you know, in the Super Bowl.
But other than your team not winning this playoff, this
super Bowl. It delivered on every level. The NFL, the
products spoke for itself. All Right, Well, I hope you
guys get over the NFL blues and the football is done.
We'll see you next week. Are read it? There at

(02:00:29):
you baby, see you in the promised laughing that everybody
