(03:05):
at the water right now. This a Jersey. This so
this South Florida. Hey, t J plex waiting to say that, TJ.
T J me killing me every weekend talking about uh
clut no clouds in the sky and beautiful. Hey, when
you text she was on vacation. You see, I didn't

(03:25):
say I wasn't because I figured you was in the
same You have such a hater. That's wonderful. Tell us
the draft is underway, that things are are moving, things
are shaking. Um one one quarterback taking in the first round.
I will say that my bold prediction did come to light.

(03:48):
I did mention the fact, I am a back pattern.
So it is what it is. Uh one quarterback and
he was not taken in the top fifteen first fifteen picks.
Was my bold prediction. A lot of people said, even
though the idea of it was these these quarterbacks aren't
moving the needle as as as much as years passed,

(04:12):
that they still might go. A couple might go, and
a couple might go earlier because you you just didn't
want to lose them or or take the take the
risk that they may be there may not be there
when your pick comes. Um, what what are you guys thinking?
I mean, what was that a shock to you? What?
What was your takeaway from from the draft so far?
I mean, to be honest with you, any time you

(04:34):
see one quarterback go in the first round, that's a
shock because lately, these quarterbacks have been put on a pedestal.
They win on their own and they lose because of
their teammates. They've been pretty much put on the pedestal.
So that that shocking is in the National Football League,
in the draft that they weren't elevated to what they've been.

(04:58):
I mean, last year alone, we saw four guys going
to top ten last year alone, into just one in
the first round. I was shocked. Should be motivation for
these players. I was texting, as you know what, Matt Correll, Uh,
LaVar were real close with him. Um. I was just

(05:19):
texting him because and I had to remind him, like, bro,
thirty two guys go in the first round. Everybody wants
to be a first rounder. Um. And it's funny. I
brought you up. I said, LaVar was the second pick,
went to a team that didn't get the best out
of him, didn't have the career he should have had.
Maybe this would be the reverse for you. Let this
motivate you and drive you. It was shocking, but Kenny

(05:45):
pickt be in the first roue. I literally thought it
would be Malik Willis or Matt Correll. But to say
the least, I thought the draft was fantastic. Man, the
NFL is doing the hell of a job just captivating
people to go watch it. I thought it was great.
I watched uh every minute of it, every minute of it.
When they went to commercial break, I went to the

(06:06):
NBA playoffs. Yeah yeah, this draft just wasn't a deep
quarterback draft. But Laval, you are right. You did say
that there would not be a quarterback taking the top
fifteen picks, So you were right, but I did. But
I did say last week to Teaj, how was that
listen a quarter because he they said a quarterback wouldn't

(06:27):
go in the first round, and I said that Maliki
Willis or Kenny Pickett would be drafting in the first round.
So that did happen. But I did say that I
thought that Carolina Panthers was gonna jump out the window
and take Kenny Pickett with the sixth pick. But that
didn't happen Carolina even they ended up trading up to
getting Correl. But this, I think somebody's gonna jump off

(06:52):
the page in this year's draft. Nobody really jumped off
the page where there was a definitive number one, number
one quarter back in this draft. So I'm just saying
to myself, you know, a guy like Desmond Ritter or
Matt Correll are going into situations where if they give
the organization more than what they think they are going

(07:13):
to do, then it's a win win situation for them.
So Atlanta gets a backup quarterback with Desmond Ritter to
Marcus Mariota, which I thought was a good pick, And
you just don't really. You really just don't know going
into the season what these guys are going to give you.
You look at um uh Malik Willis going to Tennessee.

(07:34):
I think that's a phenomenal pick for them because the
more mobility that you added the quarterback position for this
offense because you have dig Henry is going to add
a whole different dynamic to the offense, especially when you
lose A J. Brown. So I think that was one
of the best picks of the draft with Tennessee taking
Malik Willis. M M all right, who you guys think one?

(07:56):
I'm saying the New York Jets. Oh no. I think
the Giants was the draft. They finally got it right
to a situation to where we asked players and everybody
that those football they drafted the guys that were best
for them and the needs that they wanted because they

(08:19):
were They were at the fifth pick, and I said, listen,
just take the guy from Oregon because the six and
seventh pick, you're still gonna have offensive line available, the
guy from n C State and Alabama. And I thought
it was a great strategy for them to take the
defense and from Oregon instead of taking one of the
office alignment because they would have missed out. I think

(08:41):
both both officer alignment would have been been off the
board by the time they got to the seven picks.
So I think the New York Giants man won that draft.
They got the guys that they wanted, and now you
have two cornerstone players, young players on defense that you
can build around. I mean when when when I when
I look at it, it it's not even close. Like

(09:02):
it's the Jets and it's not close. The Jets by
far had the best first two days of his draft
than anybody else. You get Sauce Gardner, who many thought
was the best corner. You get Garrett Wilson, who many
thought was the best receiver I didn't. You get Jermaine Johnson,
who some thought will go top twelve to fifteen at

(09:23):
twenty six. And then I'm gonna give a shout out
to boy Iowa Sam. And then you get breeseaw To
running back from Mawa State. Even though he's a Hawk guy,
you know it's still the same state. Um, he's nice.
The Jets to me, they got players that they need,

(09:45):
but they didn't reach for the players you're looking at
division you're going against now to re kill Jaalen Waddle
in Miami. You got Digs and Josh Shilling and Gabe
Davis and Buffalo, they get Salt sc Harder, they get
a pass rusher, They get who many thought was the
best receiver in Garrett Wilson Breese Hall in the second round.

(10:07):
I really like what the Jets accomplished night. The Giants
really good. The Jets have quantity, but that quantity I
believe is also quality, and so I don't think it's close.
I think it's the New York Jets. I man, I
gotta say this, and it pains me to do it,

(10:28):
and we could have the conversation about it. But I
think getting a j Brown in that trade, taking the
defensive linement that they did with that first that first pick,
Jordan Davis being able to get Cameron Jurgens, who, by
the way, maybe people may not be up on Cam Jurgens,
but let me tell you something. He is a dog

(10:51):
at that center of position out of Nebraska, and then
you you double down on getting the Kobe Dean. Now
everybody he talks about as earl. He was the defense.
He was a heart and soul and he is what
to me a Philadelphia linebacker looks like like I just

(11:14):
I just think that I have a feeling in three years,
everybody's gonna look back and say, what are we missing
to Kobe Dean. I really have that feeling that they're
gonna sit back and say, oh, what did we know?
He's a little small, he's a little banged up man.
He's gonna be that guy, added A J. Brown, adding
Cam Jurgen's as the anchor of your your offensive line

(11:37):
day one. He comes in, day one, he's anchor your
office line. And then you got Fletcher Cox and those
guys still there to to to mold Jordan Davis, Jordan's
Davis and Fletcher Cox in the center of a defensive line.
Are they are they easily far and away now people
are debating this, but are they in pole position as

(11:58):
the NFC's favorite now boys. I wouldn't. And I also
will give credit to the Baltimore Ravens. I like the
fact that they drafted Kyle Hamilton's and then the bomb
the center. I'll get him credit. I liked what they
did as well there. But again, we talked about this
first Friday. Oh I like this, Oh I like that. Yeah,

(12:20):
you know, the Ravens. They got Kyle Hamilton's and Tyler
Lyndon bomb but he's a bad too. Boy. We know
half of these guys gonna be bus and so we
we can look at it now and say, man, I
like this, I like this. I like this, and to

(12:42):
them past get the cracking in the fall. We we
we really don't know, We really don't love. Look on paper,
which LaVar the Eagles, they got better, they got way back.
They got if if Jordan Davis can play hard every snap,

(13:04):
does that mean you play less snaps or you're getting
better shape? I don't know what it is. Down run
downs and get him up out of there, take him
out on pass downs. But he's a he's so athletic.
Why would you do that? Because he gets tired. You
gotta get in better shape that you gotta big hey tired.

(13:27):
That's a mindset all I know. I'm with you, with
with you on this. But early on, maybe you get
the first the most you can get out of him
on first and second down. I don't know. He's gonna
be with Fletch, so he's going to get that that
that adult man talk. He's gonna get that grown man talk. Hopefully, listen.
You know, we don't know, but I'll tell you what.

(13:49):
That's a grown man right there and all right listening
stating any lions out there. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I didn't
like where he went, but that's that's what Hopefully he
went to your favorite team. He went to your favorite team. Hopefully,
I know, I know. We got a whole lot to
get you. On the other side of the break, we're

(14:09):
going to get to my man James Jackson, uh Straight
Facts podcast. He's getting on somebody's head this week. I'm
hearing the name pop up. I would be interesting to
hear what he's got to say. Uh, we'll get to
some other things as well as we move forward. We
got uh Rep Butler coming on as well. He'll be
talking about the Shakoor Stevenson Oscar Valdas fight. So we

(14:31):
got a lot to get to you guys. Make sure
you stay tapped in downt in and get a whole
lot of game. Get put up on a whole lot
of game. All right, we're gonna take a quick break.
We'll be right back. All right, Welcome back into the show.
You're listening to Up on Game, brought to you by
our friends, our people, I'm here currently getting wined and

(14:51):
dined right to you by Las Vegas, the greatest arena
on Earth. Every game, match rates, and competition, it is
always on, all right, whoever you root for, whatever sport
you love to watch, the biggest games are even bigger
in Vegas, So make sure to plan your trip today

(15:12):
at visit Las Vegas dot com. Hey my man, j
j James Jackson. If you're nasty, he's gonna get on
somebody's head today. Let's go. It's like this, I'm on
your head with James Jackson. All right, come on? What

(15:32):
you got were your feet there today? Yeah? You? You?
Tee's got a little bit like every every season, every
off season, the handful of teams to find themselves in
contract negotiations with their stars. Right, it's normal, it happens.
But this team ever piculars a Bocaluca star that did
pretty much everything for the offer. Jaw. You're right, lavars man,

(15:53):
I'm on your head. There's don't know deepo family Instagram
handle of Robles right, biggest one. He's got his contract
with the forty Niners. The Devots entering the final here
of his rookie deal with Sham Friends and of course
he want that contract extension. But apparently Devo in the
Niners regaining about six million dollars apart in their contracts
Fawks and their negotiation talks, and then they got all

(16:15):
that go without in San Francisco, and we're not trying
to share none of it, not even with Devo. And
from his court of view, he deserves every time he's
actually for. He was the lifeline forty nineties offense last
season over seventeen hundred yards fourteen total TVs, only the
first player in the NFL history with a thousand receiving yards,
five Rustie touchdowns, and five receiving tds in a season.

(16:37):
I mean, simply put, you take Devo off the Niners
offense last season and it gets flex what Shyke Dazy
originally when the staltwide receiver expects his discontent, John Winch
the GM said he didn't imagine the world and which
Devo didn't return until the Nines. I mean, come on, man,
they acting like they got mind control over Devo, like

(17:00):
book stand France, it's got one of those most valuable
assets on your side and were about to losing like
Le Stadium over the San Francisco right, Well, they got
to te up all the loose change they got because
I'm on your head. Huh interesting? All right, you know
they got that power. You know that'll be quiet when

(17:21):
Debo around. They don't be talking again if he ain't there,
I'm interested. Well, how y'all think this is all gonna
play out with Debo? Man? This is a tough situation
because it's obvious he's their best offensive player that the
the Niners may say Kittle, but it's Debo. But he's

(17:46):
one more year in the contract and then they can franchise,
and so technically he's two years under contract. And if
he wants to be tough and sit out, then you're
trying to get money and you lose money. And so
now we hustling backwards. So where is the compromise? We
all knew this is a contracting. This ain't no. I

(18:10):
don't like being in California. This ain't no. I don't
like how they're using me. They used you perfect because
you was the first team All Pro for the first
time in your career, so they used you the perfect way.
The problem is, how do they come to an agreement
to where both feel like Because in the negotiation both

(18:31):
parties should feel like, Okay, I'm satisfied, but I'm I
probably gave up a bit too much. That's what the
negotiation is. Neither party is happy, but you're satisfied. I
don't know how this ends, because if they offer you
this and you want that and that is just way
more than this, where is the compromise? As players, I'm

(18:54):
always pro player, man when it comes to these contracts,
because one play you can be out for the year,
career maybe over, and so I'm pro player when it
comes to this. Man. These coaches will coach much longer
than we play, and a lot of times these coaches
end up making more money than we make his players.
And so that quick to call you too, Hey, you

(19:15):
sure you don't want to take that deal? Hell no,
you ain't taking less on your deal, but you want
me to take less on mine. And so I hope
it works out for him. But he's in a tough spot, man,
when he's another year on the contract and then he
can possibly be franchise tacked. Yeah, nobody wants to be
patient anymore. That's that's that's just the new and the
generation that you know we're seeing with the NFL and

(19:38):
these uh, you know, these the wide receiver market and
you you look at the production that Debo head lash
and nobody's denying that he's not a good football player.
But but it was, it was. It was just one season.
And now with the departure of the officer coordinator, uh

(19:58):
with McDaniel, we don't know if they're all going to
resume keeping the same offense that that Deebo was in
last year that plays to hear strength and let let
be deal and be Deebo. But I gotta disagree with you.
I think um Kittle is the best player on that offense.
I do. I think he's the best player offense. But

(20:22):
with all the contracts that's going on as far as
the wide receivers are concerned, Debo wants to be compensated
and and and I don't blame him. Just like you said,
you know, he can go out and you know, get
hurt or whatever the case may be, and he may
never you know, no, see that deal. So they wanted
did you see what A J. Brown said? Did you
did you see what he said? What did he say?
The Titans offered him sixteen million. He signed for four

(20:45):
years a hundred. The Titans offered him sixteen million a year. Listen,
guys are making twenty million dollars a year now, Blacks
of Cole at the position they offered you sixteen million
a year, and the Eagles even twenty five, Like mans,
what y'all doing that? That's the market. The elite wide

(21:06):
receivers are making more than twenty million dollars a year,
twenty miles of a year. And it started for what
two or three years ago with the Davonte uh Hopkins,
yes him. That was kind of under the radar. That
was under the radar, renegotiation, real under the radar, and
people started to really delve into it and was like, wait,
hold on making twenty seven million dollars a year. Yeah,

(21:29):
on the love, that's a few coins? What that's a
few coins erupted together? All right, Now, here's what we're
gonna do. Let's get il let's get an update going.
But I want to keep the conversation going because this
is becoming a very very large topic um in terms
of approach, is the whole idea of what you know,

(21:54):
what this is all about with these receivers. But we're
gonna come back to it, all right, because we got
again I got to talk about this fight, but I
want to table that. Let's let's get il right now,
let's table this. We'll get back to it. I know
you've got to know a few things about big time contracts,
so you know, and and the in the spirit of
let's keep in this whole lot of money going, Can

(22:16):
I get a can get an update from you. You
just gotta follow the money. You got it right on
LaVar and following the money. Round four the NFL Draft,
more dreams coming true as we speak. With the first
pick in round four, number one oh six overall, the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted University of Washington tight end Cade
Ought in the Houston Texans selecting Florida running back Damien Pierce.

(22:39):
The Cleveland Browns then took Oklahoma defensive tackle perry On
Winfrey in. The Seattle Seahawks drafted University of Cincinnati cornerback
Kobe Bryant spelled c O B why by the way.
Then the Baltimore Ravens took University of Minnesota offensive tackle
daniel Le Lane, followed by the New York Jets selecting

(23:01):
Louisiana offensive tackle Max Mitchell. The New York Giants Draft
at San Diego State tight end Daniel Bellinger, and then
the Washington Commanders have just selected Louisiana safety Percy Butler.
Next selection goes to the New York Giants. That again
in round four. As we speak of the NFL Draft,
NBA Philadelphia seventy six star Joel embiid out indefinitely with

(23:24):
the right orbital fracture and mild concussion suffered in Philly's
first round clinching win on Thursday against Toronto Sixers open
the East Semis and Miami on Monday, and finally shout
out to Hall of Fame women's basketball coach, the legendary
C Vivian Stringer. She announced her retirement today after fifty
seasons as a head coach at Cheney State, Iowa and Rutgers,

(23:47):
taking all three programs she coached to the final four.
LaVar back to your awesome all right, uh man? As
as promised, I do want to keep talking about this
receivers thing because I find it to be very intriguing.
But do we as RATT do we have rat round? Okay? Well?
We got? I mean, come on, man, like when not music?

(24:10):
Come on? When that music? Jump on? Right there? Man?
You gotta know that there's a Pretty Left Hook that's
gonna follow. We got a man, Rep. Butler from Pretty
Left Hook podcast on up on Game Presents, and we
got a big fight tonight and the best person to
talk about it is my man, Rep. Butler. Welcome into
the show, my guy. Indeed, what let's let's talk about it.

(24:34):
Let's talk about it, man. I mean, do we want
to start with how how how dope Tyson Fury is
or do we want to just go straight into do
we want to bring up Errol Spitz or do we
want to just go straight to Sheikor because now it's
Sheikor's time to prove that he should be in the conversation. Well,
I want to start LeVar. To be honest with you,

(24:54):
is how boxing is back. Everybody talking about boxing is
dead and MM took over three. Put the shovel to
the dirt, put it on the body. Boxes here and
everybody needs to understand now with the time to see
what we have. Yes, boxing was in the belgroom. Now
we're back into pond time. Baby, It's like Deon Samson's

(25:15):
winning the game. Man, It's all show out my men.
Mm hmm me, I'm looking forward to this fight. Uh,
this is gonna be a really good fight with sha Cure,
Stevenson and Oscar Valdez. Especially Scure Stevenson is a my
master boxer. You step to him, he's always gonna take

(25:37):
a half step back, forcing you to risk get encountered.
But Oscar Valdez Canello had a hard time with Movers
early in his career, and now you watch Canello now
versus Movers. He tracks him down, He tracks him down,
and they spend this energy worried about Canell. He doesn't

(25:58):
have he doesn't have that to his game yet, but
you know, training with the same people he's being taught that.
I just think Shakua is too young, too athletic, uh,
too great of a Boscar boxer. I think it's gonna
be a great fight. I think he's just gonna pick
Oscar apart from now side than if Oscar isn't aggressive,
he don't stand the chance at all. So he has

(26:19):
to be aggressive and hope he can catch Secure trying
to step back head up. But Shakura gonna step back
and then give him an angle. He's not just gonna
step back on the same ain't gonna stap to give
him an angle, I like Shakua Stevenson eight to four
and ninety three. Hey, this is not gonna be Hey,
this is not gonna be an easy fight. Man. One
of the things about Valdes man is that listen, he's

(26:41):
a brawler. He's gonna turn this thing into a fight
because because he knowss going into this fight tonight that,
like course Stevens is a technician footwork defense. He can't
go in the ring and out box him. He knows
that he's gonna have to turn this fight into a brawl,
if you if he wants to have a chance to win. Listen,

(27:02):
both of these guys are undefeated thirty and know and
Oscar Valdez actually dropped his belt and moved up to
the to the featherweight so he could be the number
one to UH contender to to fight chikor Stevenson. So listen,
he's not moving up for no reason. He's going into
this fight to turn into a real broad back boxing match.

(27:23):
And this of course, of course Stevens is going to
have to show us that he can take a punch
of Night because it's gonna be one of those kind
of fights. Okay, So I was about to say, what
are the implications of this fight? I know that we're
heading towards uh hopefully a colligion training collision between Spence

(27:45):
and and Crawford. But for for Skor what what is?
What are the implications of this fight? And if he
shows that ability to do what what TJ is talking
about make it look pretty easy against the guy like Valdez,
the implications are a major for Shakur Stevenson. First of all,
let's not forget this man is an Olympian and a medalist.

(28:08):
He had a silver medal in the real Olympics. But
many have felt like Shakur hasn't lived up to his potential.
But in boxing, that's a skewed theory, right, because in boxing,
potential means hype value and how many people know you.
Shakoor is with Pop Rank, and so is Oscar Valdez's
why this flight was easy to make. However, Top Rank
notoriously does not know how to market certain athletes, namely

(28:31):
black athletes or athletes of the culture. So Shakor has
kind of allowed his mentors in andre Ward and j
Prince to kind of lead that charge. Right. They blanked
him with Drake. He's an ode o boxer, meaning sponsored
by O. B. O. Drick's clothing company. So for Shakur
at four years old, he has everything in front of him.
He just had a baby. I mean, this guy's on
a whole new path. So Oscar Valdez is a huge

(28:53):
test um to the point that was made earlier. Yes,
Oscar valdev is with Canello. However, that is also a
controversial pairing. Oscar Valdevia bust this woman enhancing drugs, so
Canelo in the past, they both claim that in trips
to Mexico their homelands eating certain taco meats and whatnot,
have certain things, and yeah, that's a controversial thing in boxing.

(29:17):
After that's their go to excuse with this Mexican boxes.
Of course, it's the tacco meat scandals. Man. So you
know Oscar is already walking into this fight, you know,
with that open his head. If last fight they had
to take it to an Indian reservation casino against Robertson
compel because a man, they always they always say that too,

(29:42):
Like Canelo, Bro, you're the highest paid boxer in the world.
You mean to tell me you can't get a chef
that can get you some clean meat, like right, like
the food drugs are so convenient. And then because Cannell
lewis who he is, when you bring it up, they
shunned you. So no, not now the reporters don't want

(30:03):
to bring it up because they want to be on
canello good side. Bro, you make fifty million dollars a
fight minimum, Um, you gotta chef that can get you
some meat that's not tainted. Bro, That that's and now meat.
It's just them child's are bred to make good, strong
fighters exactly, just keeping that call. He don't need it.

(30:31):
He Cannello don't need it. He found out he needed
it when even five Floyd I tell you that it
was enough taco meat to get that tell you that.
But but interestingly enough you know to the to the
point the earlier about Canello now being more the targeted fighter.
That came literally after he fought Floyd Floyd Floyd bok

(30:54):
his biggest test and the biggest source of information for
Cannelo people who is today And Floyd E said after
the fight, he's gonna be the top of the sport
after fighting me because he's gonna learn how to be
as slick as me. Now from that process, and we've
seen that along the way, but Oster felt this has
the most approved even though he is thirty one older,
more fights, more knockouts to Shakoor, but he has the

(31:15):
stain over the head and the main thing that got
them when they switched to an Indian reservation casino for
his last fight, because the regulations are different. That's not
typically American property, so they go through an Indian commission
and they look past the tackle meat scandal. Right, dad
hangs over Oscar's head. So's your courts coming in, clean,
fresh and young looking forward looking to come up and

(31:38):
Oscar Valdez win would be major for him. That's two
belts right now. He's has the b OH, I mean
WBC super Federate, Oscar has the w b O and
then an other wins this also gets the ring title.
Then there's only two other belts to get, and I
think she picks off the other two guys pretty easily
that have the ib F and UM and the and
and the w b A coming out like Diego Corrals

(32:01):
and Floyd Mayweather. Yeah, without without the knockout, I don't
think it's gonna be that come without the knockout. So
what's the prediction before we let you go. Rat Butler
of Chords a pretty left hook podcast. You can catch
his podcast on up on Game Presents. Uh what what
what's your prediction? Bro Well, I got to one prediction

(32:22):
is tonight. I think Stevenson by Stilett. I think this
goes both distance and I think we're gonna show up
ready and she was gonna find a fighter he's never
spaced before. So let's talk forgive Fellers. Also in New
York is Katie Taylor pers Amanda's Ranto undisputed women's title,
first time two women headlining the Maddison Square Garden with

(32:44):
his major Jake Paul is Amanda's Wattle's promoter, and he
hearn is Katie Taylor's a huge fight for women's boxing.
Katie Taylor Toronto as well Soronto gonna beat there. All right,
all right, we appreciate you, rat man. We'll we'll bring
you back on talk about the results of everything that
takes place. But man, one of the best in the business. Man,

(33:05):
just a dynamic, dope all around dude. Man, we appreciate you.
Coming on man, my brother, alright, alright, right, yes, sir,
all right, we're gonna continue this receiver's talk. On the
other side of this break, Um, you're listening up on Games. T. J.
Hushman's as Plexico Birds. I'm LaVar Harrington. Uh, take a
quick breath, man, because that was kind of fast right there,
and just like they was talking about, can guys play

(33:28):
three downs? Well, can you get through an entire segment
with the up on Game crew? Take a quick break, man,
We're gonna come back and hit you again. All right,
welcome back into the show. This is up on Game.
St J. Houshman's out of it Plexicob Buris Fox Sports Radio.

(33:49):
That's im LaVar. It doesn't matter because we're talking about
receivers here, not linebackers. And I gotta ask you, guys,
we've been having the conversation of about elite elite receivers
that we were having Deebo Samuel conversation. What is he deserving?
What is he not? If he's if he's the best player.

(34:09):
I gotta be honest with you. We'll say, whether you
say Kittle or you say Samuel is the better of
the two on the team, Kittle is still a receiver.
I mean, at the end of the day, a lot
of these tight ends are now glorified as tight ends,
but they're really receivers. Pitts, he's a receiver. Kittle, he's

(34:30):
a receiver, you know. Now, I would say a guy
like Waller, you know, is more of a tight end.
Guys like Gronkowski, they're more like tight ends. You know
why because they also can block. Tight Ends are basically
considered to be offensive linement that can run routes and catch.
But I'll give Kittle is credit. Kittle is in line often,

(34:52):
he's in line in him And yeah, he can block.
I mean we've seen we've seen him get some really
like nice blocks on guy. But he's a past receiving
tight end. First, Like, let's be clear even his body
type is he's a he's a receiver. They're they're little guys,
you know. And and my gout, My thing is is
when you're talking about the effectiveness and nature of a

(35:16):
game that has totally shown you that it's going to
the past, with with not one running back going in
the first round, it's it's clear that passing the ball
is a premium. And while you'll say, yes, quarterbacks still
maintain the number one spot and of importance, but you

(35:38):
gotta look at the fact that they can't throw it
to themselves, So you gotta believe the next most important
player on the field at this point, and it's becoming
very clear it's a receiver. So I I ask you
guys this, as we're looking at the economics of everything
and how it's evolving, and how receivers are really starting

(35:59):
to no things the same way that quarterbacks do, should
they be judged the same way? Because listen, here's the thing.
When Aaron Rodgers does what he did, people you know,
come out Aaron a little differently than they do with
other guys at the position, but they come at him
and they bring up what they bring up. But now
Aaron got his deal. You can see he's relaxed, talking

(36:21):
about getting guys later in the rounds, different things like that.
How should receivers be looked at starting down this path
basically shrewd negotiating man. Guys just want to get paid
what they're talent has earned and deserves. I mean, it's simple, man.

(36:42):
Especially we're specifically talking about Debo. They started lining him
up and running back, and it opened up an element
of his game that not many knew. He can run
in between the tackles. He can run outside the tackles. Basically,
he was the offense down the stretch. But if I'm
gonna play this type of ball and run inside the tackles,

(37:03):
I could possibly get injured a little more. So I
need you guys to pay me, and pay me now.
I don't want to wait because now I'm a receiver
running back. I'm a jack of all trades. I'm doing
everything for this team. And that offer. When this came out,
d but wants to be traded immediately, I thought they
low balled them, and so don't tell me, you want

(37:25):
me show me. I just think it's the I call
it the Jamaar Chase craze because a lot of these
teams are trying to find them a jama chasing his draft, GARYL.
Wilson or whoever these guys may be. And you look
at these these wide receiver salities. What's going on right now?
What do you think the Bengals are thinking about Jamar

(37:46):
Chase's future? Crontract if playing the way and he's been
playing in his first year, I mean, listen to what
I received. Mar is gonna have to come down because
just gonna create and create a whole lot of problems
for these teams as far as the salary cap is concerned.
If you got your receivers making twenty five thirty million

(38:08):
dollars a year, what you're gonna pay you your your
left tackling your quarterback. So it's what you're gonna pay.
What you're gonna pay. I'll tell you what you're gonna pay.
