Speaker 1 (00:03):
You want NFL experience, then this is the show for you.
This is It's up on game with Lavarrei, ten, t
J Houshmnzana and Plaxico Burress. Did you hear that? LaVar Arrington,
t J Hodgmanzana, Plexico b It's a show with three
of the best to ever do it on and off
(00:25):
the field. And now here's Pro Bowlers LaVar Aryton, t
J Houshmnzana and Super Bowl champion Plaxico Burress. Welcome back
our two upon game talk n I l well talk. Well,
(00:46):
we'll listen to legendary moments with the legendary l A guy.
And before we get started, I gotta remind you to
download the draft Pisa and use colde Umong Games to
get a free shot at millions of dollars up for
Brad this weep with your merged deposit, then I'm a
five dollar deposit required lability, l ability restricts. Some flies.
(01:07):
He trapped these like compt each other. I'm laughing and
I'm flubbing that. Hey, Plaque, Just so you know, when
I said in Newport News, somebody texts me it is
like you disrespecting my city. It's Virginia Beach. They text
me that. I'm like, damn, y'all really worldwide with this.
They're listening to. Come on, man, he wasn't playing hey
(01:33):
when when went to college the Richmond Spiders. And I'm like,
you're there, you're really coming at me, my my bad,
and you need I ain't mean disrespect your city. Seven
five seven Virginia Beach, baby, my bad. That's what we
do when we stand up for each other. Baby. Yeah,
so he hit me up, so you know, no disrespect intended.
Uh just got the city's mixed up, you know. And
(01:56):
I knew it was somewhere on the water. I knew that.
Uh So plex, let's get back to this. Uh N.
I l with Jordan Atison and it's not just him.
It's a lot of players benefited from this. And my
my take on this is the coaches at these schools
(02:18):
have benefited from the off the backs of these players
for years. Man. Years, you get great players, you win,
you get great contracts, and if you don't get great players,
you lose, and now you're fighting for a job, you're
losing your job, you're trying to find another job. The
fact that the players can finally benefit from themselves, from
(02:44):
their talent. I love it. And they say, oh, some
type of guidelines need to be put in. That may
be the case. But when a coach is coaching at
and I'm not gonna put a school down, so I'll
say at a lower level school, and then he can
go to a upper level school. And you're making a
(03:05):
million dollars at this lord level school, one point five million,
and then you go make seven eight nine million dollars.
Now you're linking Riley. You're gonna get a hundred million,
your Dobbo Sweeney, you're getting close to a hunter mill.
Whatever they're getting, it's off the backs of these players.
It's off the backs of the players, So why can't
(03:26):
they benefit off themselves? But other people can benefit off
of them, and so they want guidelines because they don't
like that the players now are making money and looking
out for themselves and not looking after you. There may
be some guidelines to be put in. But if Jordan
Atison can win the bulliting the coffin, he's at pit
and he can make no money off of n il deal,
(03:47):
of course you should enter the portal Jordan and go
get paid. Why wouldn't you? Because the coaches have done
this for years and years and years and years. And
the people that are against it, if that just makes
me say whom, why? Why you have benefited off of
these kids for years? You suspended kids for no reason.
(04:08):
Oh they transferred. They have to sit out a year. Well,
if the coach leaves, he never has to sit out
of year. Every Just look, just look for where we
come from. Just in the last ten years of Todd Gurley, A. J. Green,
Chase Young, these kids getting suspended for Peter, let's go
to our Peter Warwick lost the Heisman Trophy because he
(04:31):
got free clothes from Dillard's. Like what Reggie bus lost
the Heisman because he was broken. He was getting money
to help his family to go from that to this.
They don't like it, and it's not fair to the
player because we should when I say, were the player
(04:52):
be able to benefit off of you? A coach never
leaves and has to sit out a year, but if
a player leaves, he you gotta sit out. Oh, let's
re implement that. Why why let the players have a
freedom like the coaches have the freedom, Because if you're
a coach and you're using your blessed players, you use
if you lose the best wide receiver and all the
(05:14):
coach football, you're looking at yourself and you go from
the season you had last year to a losing season?
Are you really that good of a coach that? I'm sorry, coach, Coach,
I'm sorry. I'm doing what's best for me, not what's
best for you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry because if I'm
not mistaken, that's what these coaches do when you leave
one program to go to another. Are you doing what's
(05:36):
best for the player, what's best for you and your family? Man? Sorry, coach,
I remember this like it was yesterday. Man. We were
nine and two going to the Citrus Bowl in nineteen
nine and Nick Saban was my coach, and he came
in on Wednesday. We we we're preparing for the bowl
(05:57):
game to play the Florida Gators down the Citrus Bowl.
M He comes in, he said, listen, I know you
guys are hearing the rumors about me leaving the l
s U. He said, I'm not going anywhere. I'm committed
to the program. I'm gonna finish what I started. I
bought you guys in here so you can play football,
graduate and you know, do what doever you guys you
(06:19):
want to do. But I'm committed to the program. I'm
here to stay. Guess what gon l s u through
thirty six million dollars in his face. He was gone
the next day. I haven't seen them since. So now
you have guys like Dabbo Sweeney, Pat Nardoozy and and
uh Nick Saban jump behind the podium now and saying listen, uh, now,
(06:44):
these kids are leaving his programs to go get money. Um,
isn't that what you just did when I was in
college and you stood at the podium and told me
he was committed to the program, and he wasn't leaving.
The next day he was gone. But but when I
go into his office as a pet the top ten pick,
he tells me I should stay in school, and in
(07:06):
all actuality, he beat me out the door before the
season was the season wasn't even though he was gone.
He didn't even coaches in the bowl game. Bobby Williams did.
But he was trying to tell me to stay in
school and come back and play for another year because
he thought that he was still going to be the
coach at Michigan State until ella, as you offer them
that deal because I would make him look better, but
(07:28):
he left before I could leave. Man, the players have
never had as much power as they have and it
needs to stay that way. And oh, they're they're being bribed,
they're being it doesn't matter they're being They're able to
benefit offer their talent, which should be the case. Hopefully
(07:48):
it stays this way. Hopefully if they do put guidelines in,
it's strictly not to take away from the player, but
just to put some structure in to what's going on.
Don't don't take away from the player. Continue to let
him do what he's doing. Um. Because if a coach
can leave White cant a player that I will never
(08:10):
never change that stance. There's a lot of people that
may disagree. But when you're a player and you come
from where we come from, and you grow up how
we grew up. When you have a chance to make
any type of money, UM better sooner than later, it's
always a great thing. And so that's my take on it.
I wish LaVar was here to get his take on it,
(08:31):
because I know he's starting the company to help players
capitalize on the N I L deal to see what
his thoughts would be on that. But he ain't here,
he's at the spring game. And also it's a two
way street because now these young men know that I
have a possibility to make a lot of money wine
in college. So you know, and and you know what
that does in the realm scheme of things. They're get
(08:53):
in better shape, they start to play better, you look
better as a coach. And now these players are actually
chasing something to get to where they want to get
to the Obviously everybody probably wants to get to the NFL.
That's not gonna happen. But now they've got a chance
to make some money in college. So now they're gonna
perform better hoping they can get one of these deals. Yes,
(09:15):
we have time for a legendary more Ryan or uh,
let's do legendary moments. The big old g Willie Mack,
long beach finest who has presents conversations with a leg
and now this is your legendary moment. Do you have
(09:36):
an example of a time where that became clear to
you where it was like I gotta tighten up for
like this is real. Yeah, I mean when I came out,
when I left high school, I was the first person
in my family to go to college the bar so um.
My thing is, I don't want to go back to
the hood. I don't want to go back and fail
(09:57):
like I've seen so many of my friends and homies do.
I don't want to build myself in a situation where
I might make a bad decision. And I want to provide.
I want to help my family. I want to grow.
I want to be able to do things. You know.
So that clicked for me. And once I made it
to the point that I wanted to make it as
(10:18):
far as getting drafted, then now you've got something to prove.
Now you got your pride. Now you've got a responsibility.
Now you've got people that you're responsible for. In my eyes,
I never wanted my mom and dad to work again ever.
You know, I wanted to be able to take care
of my sisters and family members. I wanted to be
able to do things. I wanted to be able to
(10:41):
play the game I love that I've been playing since
I was six and seven. It was never really about
the money to me. I didn't look at it like
I'm playing for money. I gotta do this. It was
a passion for the game, and it was it was
it was my life and what I wanted to be,
and I go back to so a lot of things
that was more important than me checking off you know,
(11:03):
how much was I gonna do here? Do there? Yeah,
that's a part of the business side of it. But
if that's all you're doing it for, then you ain't
gonna really last long because you're not gonna have a
love for the game and you're not gonna sacrifice and
do everything you have to do for the games. And
I think that's the difference between the elite. They're really great,
um the All Pros, the Pro Bowls, the Hall of
(11:25):
Famous versus guys get in for a little while. That's
talent that they don't have to work ethic, they don't
have to love, and they don't last long. Man. That
that was a perfect legendary moment for what we were
just talking about. What he say, I want to from
(11:45):
for my family and take care of him. And he
had to go to college then get to the league
to do that. I believe Willie mac was a fifth
pick Um. Me and Willie mc get along quite well. Uh.
Obviously he went to the renown high school out here,
Long Beach, Polly Um the jack Rabbits. I coached there. Um.
(12:08):
Part of it was because of Antonio Piris when a
p left, I stayed coaching there because of Willie mack
Um trying to help him mentor these kids. He's very
involved at Long Beach, probably very involved in the community.
He has a youth football organization called the Long Beach
Patriots that does a ton for these kids. Just yesterday,
I just met a coach, or not just meet him,
(12:30):
I reconnected one of the coaches, trying to help him
with some kids and and mentor those kids, but provide
for his family. And Willie max day he would have
been able to provide for him in college with the
n IL deal. But so uh, it's just a completely
different dynamic. But Willie mack is, Uh, He's done a lot.
(12:51):
It's a lot of them kids that go to Long
Beach Polly that he's still that I still deal with,
but he deals with probably on a much greater level,
trying to help him navigate through things and so he
not just talking and he's actually out there living it. Yeah. Man, Uh,
I had an opportunity to obviously play against uh or
(13:11):
Willie mac for I mean ten twelve years over the
tenure while we were able to play and losing to
a f C championship games to him in Pittsburgh and
them being able to, you know, go on and win
those Super Bowls with with Brandon and Rodney Harrison and
that crew. Man. We just couldn't beat him, and he
(13:32):
was an animal on the outside. Man. I remember when
I was in college watching him at USC and you know,
just going back to the n I L stuff where
you know us, you know, I started playing football when
I was seven years old and I caught my first
I was like downing out like a five yard out
and ran eighty yards and I knew right then that
was what I wanted to do. And I was seven
years old, and and it's it's it's similar to you know,
(13:58):
to listen to him and and and my journey and
a lot of us that were able to to to
get to that level. But to just say, you know,
I don't my mom and dad to work anymore. I
want to be able to provide for my family. But
now these guys in in college, they don't have to
wait to get to the NFL to be able to
put some money in their politive provide for themselves and
(14:20):
to feed themselves and to take care of the family
like they can do it now. And that's the difference
between you know, when we came into the league and
what this new generation is now because because listen, if
you didn't make it out of college, you know, you
you wouldn't go to the NFL. Like there was no payday.
(14:40):
So we all knew that, and it was it was
so hard and so competitive to get to that level.
You know, I kind of feel that it's a little
bit easier now because the game was just a lot
more physical when we were playing. But you know, with
that being said, man, I'm I'm happy for those guys
that they can get to a place to where a
(15:02):
lot of these guys won't get to the NFL who
will get in night in n i L deals in
college and that would be probably some of the most
money that they're making in life doing this four year
spreading college. Because not all guys that get in a
n i HEL deals are going to the NFL and
going to the n NFL. That's not that's not Eton Stone.
(15:25):
So just like a guy like a Jordan Addison or
whoever the next one may be, Man, go out and
then get your money. If they got three million dollars
on the table out there waiting for you. Man, you
better go get that or your mom and daddy's gonna
tell you boy, you're gonna get that money straight up
and down. But yeah, shout out to my man, Willy
g Man, hell of a man, hell of a player. Yes,

four six seven three six nine. Coming back. We're gonna
talk NBA playoffs, dealing Brooks, Joel and b J. We
just gonna talk to the NBA playoff Draymond Green, and
then we're gonna let Black talk the Kentucky Derby. What
you call it? Plax? What? What? What? We're talking? Plex man?
(17:13):
We're talking ponies and Phillies. He's in Philly. We're way
back up on game. Yeah, what's see? That's strictly for you. Yeah,
ain't that crazy? Wow? Where's she from? In Virginia? Come on,
(17:33):
Man's finest man Beach as well? Can you imagine this? Man?
We got three of the world's greatest producers from one city.
I'm assuming as from Virginia Beach that that would be
for real. One would be Timberland, other would be Teddy
Riley and the great Missy Elliot, all from one city. Hey,
(17:54):
y'all might be on the suthing up in Virginia Beach, Bros.
Something in that beach waters. Like really, yeah, imagine that
how many how many people are in that city? Uh,
what's the population? You don't know the population. No, I
don't know the population over the last ten or fifteen years.
We actually have traffic. Now, when I was coming up,
growing up, we didn't have any traffic. You talk about traffic, Plexico.
(18:18):
This is a true story. Four fifty thousand Virginia Beach.
That's a decent side city. Listen, this is a true story.
This happened to me yesterday. My son had a haircut.
The barber shop is five miles away from me. Five
miles away. I get on a freeway. I'm like, man,
(18:39):
traffic is not moving. I get off, I take the streets.
It took me forty three minutes to go five miles. Bro,
forty three minutes. Bro, I'm sitting like haircut at four o'clock.
I left my house at three forty seven. I got
(18:59):
there at like four thirty. As crazy, So it took
me forty three minutes to go five miles. I couldn't
believe it. This is just yesterday. Man. I was so impatient,
so impatient, But enough for that, because I know somebody
else who's really impatient about what's going on and what's
been happening. Y'all got that sound with Steve Kerr. Let's
(19:22):
listen to this. Everybody's gonna compete and everybody's gonna fight
for everything. But there's a code in this league. There's
a code that players follow um where you never put
a guy's season slash career and in jeopardy by taking
somebody out in mid air and clubbing him across the
(19:44):
head and ultimately fracturing Gary's elbot plexicle. Let's talk about
what's going on. And in that series of You're a fan,
I Am the Draymond Green suspension, some will say that
was retaliation touch on both. What do you think is
it warranted? Was it dirty? And during your playing days,
(20:04):
did you feel like somebody try to target you and
do some dirty stuff? No, we know what that that
what's going on right now between the Memphis Grizzly and
and and Golden States. That that was like nineties basketball,
and they do have they do have a code nowadays,
but back in the late eighties, in the early nineties,
and that's just how they played. The no layoup rule
(20:27):
for Jordan's against the Pistons of eight and eighty nine
they went up. They went on to win two d championships.
And it what the Malik Brooks file on Trenton Junior
the other day, it reminded me of the Colonel Dillon
Brooks and yeah, Dillon, Dillon Brooks and Junior was Kurt
Rambas or Kevin McHale back in the early back in
(20:49):
the eighties when Rambis filed Kevin McHale and uh in
l A. But listen, Memphis tried to come out and
establish a physicality going to this game because they knew
that they knew they couldn't lose that game and go
to Golden State down to oh because they probably would
have got swept. And they come out and try to
hit the tune and it and it was it was
(21:10):
agreedi as it was a dirty file. And now you're
talking about this man not being being able to finish
the playoffs because he has a fracture elbow, whatever the
case may be. But it was clearly a dirty file.
But the Draymond Green situation was just jank down with
the jersey. But I think it's more Daya's reputation and
the way he gets after the referees when they're not
(21:32):
making the correct call. His reputation got him ejected from
that from the bast uh from from from game one.
But as far as the the Brooks file the other day,
in the first three minutes of that basketball game, once
I saw him like draw back and come across the head,
I knew automatically he was going to be ejected. But
(21:53):
that will be some retaliation when they get the Golden State.
Now it will be just don't think that the wars.
We haven't put it on a bulletin board and not
making a note of it. Even though Brooks won't playing
Game three, he suspended, but I think it's gonna be
a blow up by twenty points when they get to
go to stay for Game three. I'll say this. I'll
start with Draymond first, because it was game one. If
(22:18):
you want to call out a flagrant foul, I don't agree,
but call it a flagrant foul. He tried to hold
him up. The guys in the NBA, they they really
turned in the actors. Man. They lay on the ground
and act like that world is coming to winning. Like,
bro get up off the ground, be a managed just
get up. He didn't foul you that hard. That's number one.
He pulled you down so you didn't get the and one,
(22:40):
and then he tried to hold you up so you
didn't hit the ground hard. But they gave him a
flagor two and they threw him out the game. Okay,
even though I didn't think he should have been thrown out,
I thought it was a super super soft move for
them to throw him out, considering he tried to hold
him up. He like, if I'm gonna get thrown out,
damn it, let me just yank him all the way
(23:00):
to the ground then, because it's gonna get me thrown
out anyway. Had he known that, I'm sure he would
have done that. I thought what Dylan Brooks did was
dirty because Peyton is in the air. You know, when
you're in the air, you have no body control really
on what happens, especially when you get hit. You smack
him in his head. And this is the part with Peyton.
(23:23):
He's been somewhat of a journeyman, trying to find a
foot in the league, trying to find a spot in
the team that fits him. He seems to have found
that spot after being in the G League, not in
the NBA, on this team, on that team, out I'm
gonna beat his defensive stopper on John Moran, or at
least just trying to slow him down and solidify myself
(23:47):
as an NBA player moving forward. This series, in this
playoff run, could have done that. He's now not afforded
that opportunity because of a player that was dirty. And
I get playing hard and I get playing tough, but
you're messing with his livelihood because now he can't play.
(24:10):
Man I would if I'm paying um pissed like, I'm like,
I want to fight Dylan Brooks, Like that's almost fighting,
almost like it was intentional. I want a fighting because
it is because now I got a chance to slow
John Rand down. If I do that, my career for
the next two or three years is in the NBA
(24:31):
and that's for certain. Now I don't know what's going
to happen, and it's unfortunate because we don't know how
to go to State. It's gonna win the series. John
Iran is gonna be John Rand go to State. They
don't have an answer for him, and that's evident from
Game two. They knew he was taking every shot and
they still couldn't stop him from getting into the pain
(24:53):
and they almost had a chance to win Game one
talk in Memphis, but I I thought it was dirty.
He in essence was suspended game too. They're suspending in
game three, and I've always thought this is a bit
much like if I got to miss five games and
you knocked me out, you should miss five games. But
Dylan Brooks should not have to miss the same amount
of games that Gary Pain. So I think the game
(25:14):
three suspension is fair if you're gonna suspend Draymond for
the game that he was in, or throw him out.
He didn't get suspended, throw him out for the game
that in Game one after he committed that flagrant too.
Hopefully they can have a good series in retrospect. When
I think about my career, I don't recall football is
so different, man, because you can be so mad at
(25:36):
somebody and you can actually get people back in football, yeah,
and try to get him back. But what they don't
realize is when you get somebody back. I don't think
people realize this, man, that hurts you too. Like man,
I used to go, man. I used to be like
I'm about to run into his full speed and I
(25:56):
was just run and had button and I'm like you
know how the cartoon like you had the cob wez
for about thirty seconds and they go like that hurts
you too, and you're hurting him. So it's in football,
it's it's hardware's career ending guys. They respect the fact
like they rarely went at your knees man, Like I
(26:17):
can't recall a guy just going at my knees, um
trying to hurt me. But the only guys I really
would get into it, what was the Steelers man? Really
to be honest with you, Like I Taylor and Tyrone
Carter and Brant them dudes. You I used to go
at it with them all the time. Uh, but now
football is so different, man, It's it's different. But I
(26:39):
thought Dylan Brooks, Uh it was a dirty playbook. Guess what.
We all want to watch Game three, Game four, and
the rest of the series moving forward. So they made
interesting and great TV. So hallo, what you think about that?
What you got for us in trending? I'm getting my
popcorn to to watch the next game of the series
(27:00):
we will start in the National Football League. Certainly a
story to keep our eyes on. Former Las Vegas Raiders
team president Dan Ventrell alleging that he was fired yesterday
in retaliation for raising concerns about a hostile work environment
in the Raiders organization with the NFL. Ventrell told the
Las Vegas Review Journal newspaper, quote, multiple written complaints from
(27:25):
employees that Raiders owner Mark Davis created a hostile work
environment and engaged in other potential misconduct caused me grave concern.
I firmly stand by my decision to elevate these issues
to protect the organization and its female employees. Unquote again
that a statement by former Raiders president Dan Ventrell to
(27:47):
the Las Vegas Review Journal. The NFL says it will investigate.
In Major League Baseball, the Philadelphia Phillies just placed in
fielder D D. Gregorios on the ten day injured list
with a left niece rain. On the scoreboard, right now,
the Dodgers have a one nothing lead over the Cubs
going to the bottom of the second inning at Wrigley
and the Cincinnati Reds they entered today with a three
(28:10):
and twenty two records, so that meant they were on
a pace to finish with the record of nineteen wins
and a hundred and forty three losses. But right now
the Cincinnati Reds have an actual, honest to goodness lead
up to one over the Pittsburgh Pirates. However, they are
still only in the top half of the fourth inning.
T J and Flexico back to you, man, Cincinnati. They
(28:33):
season is over before it it's even getting started. Huh damn,
the season just started. We just at least they have
the Bengals. Hey, Domingos is the pride and joy of
the Queen City and Cincinnati. It looked like that's gonna
be years to come. No, no, uh, disappointment there, but
(28:55):
some in the Golden State. We're talking San Francisco go
our disappointment. Underwhelmed. They don't like what they're getting and
what they're seeing out of trade lance. How do you
see that unfolding? Is he the starter? Does Jimmy g
come back to Jimmy? How do they How does this
play out? Man? Didn't we just talk about this a
(29:16):
few weeks ago. Everybody was talking about how Jimmy Garoppolo
was gonna be traded. Uh, it was gonna be a traft,
it was gonna be a trade on Draft Day. None
of these things happened because we thought for sure, and
even you and Lavo said that Listen, if if Jimmy
Garoppolo makes some more plays than the Samsco forty Niners
(29:37):
end up in the Super Bowl, and that did not happen,
and they kind of and they put all that on
Jimmy g So this a few weeks ago we were
talking about. Listen, the something going on over there in
San Rcco that we don't know about, because all the
reports is telling us. Everybody's telling us that Jimmy Garoppol
is gonna be traded and he hasn't been traded yet.
Maybe trade Lance is not making a progression and to
(30:00):
be a franchise quarterback like they hope he will be.
And maybe that's the and that's the main reason why
Garoppolo is still the quarterback for the forty nine is
we just said that. So now yesterday come out and
say they're underwhelmed. But Tray Lance, that tells me that
he's not ready to assume the position of being their
(30:21):
franchise quarterback. So that's why Jimmy Garoppolo is still in
the forty nine. I don't know what's going on behind
the closed doors or or what his you know, progression is. Uh,
if he's getting better or is his injury hindering him
from getting to the player that he wants to be.
But we just said it about a month ago. I said,
listen that Jimmy Garoppolo was not traded by draft Day
(30:46):
or somebody comes down for a trade, then then the
San Francisco but forty nine has know that Trey Lance
is not their guy. And as of yesterday, for them
coming out and reporting that, are you know, reporting stands accurate? Man?
You know what is really crazy? It's the offseason, which
we know even if in O t A s a
(31:08):
lot of it is routes on air, no defensive line pressure.
They're really letting you catch the ball. How can you
not look good? And T shirts and shorts like, I
don't understand it. He throws the ball well, I've seen
him in person numerous times, and some of those numerous
(31:30):
times the forty Niners were out there watching. I don't understand, Uh,
where the disconnect is what they're looking for. Is it
his inability to learn the offense? Is it his inability
to throw accurately? What is it that makes them say
we are underwhelmed or they're disappointed in the progress that
(31:53):
that's what I would like to know what what part
of the progression has he not made for them to say,
we don't like what we see. Is it he's not
throwing the ball with anticipation, he's not accurate, he's not
which part of it or is it? It has the
whole gamut of it everything. I'm gonna just go off
on the women just say it has to be the
(32:16):
learning of the offense and understanding the concept of what
you know Shanahan is trying to put forward and he's
just not grasping it. Because athletically, he has all the
twols to be as good as anybody else in this
league with six three to twenty, so he has the
physical ability to run up and down the field, and
(32:37):
everybody knows that he can throw. He can make any
throwing the football fields. And what that tells me, Listen,
he's just not learning the playbook. And mentally, we've seen
this several times over our career. How many times? How
many times have we seen players that are gifted that
can play football, but they just cannot digest the playbook
and perform mentally. So you can see there, you know,
(33:02):
the absolute best of of of How good to y'all
because mentally and they just can't learn the Hey, you
know what's so crazy. I'm sitting here laughing. I'm not
gonna say this name, but we've had this playing Cincinnati.
Right if it was a single high safety, we would
run a come back. If it was a too high
look and it was covered four to come back, would
(33:25):
stay on. But if it was covered two, we would
run a corner. This a true story. We had a receiver,
it was single high safety, dude around a corner. It
was one safety in the middle. It wasn't even cover four,
so you couldn't be fooled. It was single and he
ran a corner. And I'm like, what is so hard
(33:46):
about this? But whatever it is, Trey, I'm with you, bro,
You're gonna figure this out because if not you was
a third pick, they loved you and they will be
quick to hate you. They gave up a lot to
get you and they will get you out of there
quick if you're costing them that money in their livelihood.
I'm with you, man, you got time. They're gonna get
(34:07):
you time. But how much time, we don't know. But
guess what we do know. The NBA playoff action is NonStop.

in the House. Well rounded yeah, uh uh, well round it.
That's what I'm talking about. Hey, before we wrap this,
before we wrap this up a plex during the break
and I brought this up before. Uh do you think
(37:19):
that's why Deebo? Real quick? Do you think that's why
Deebo wants out? Because he sees what we haven't seen.
If Jimmy g is gone, he wants to be gone
as well. Hey, listen, if your wide receiver and and
you depend on getting the football from the quarterbacks and
he's looking at Trey Lance and and then he's not
the answer, then maybe that's the reason why he wants out.
(37:40):
But I believe but this, in the last couple of days,
Deebo Sambo said, you know, he wants to remain in
San Francisco. So that tells me that Deebo knows that
jim Mcarthin was gonna be the quarterback. So now he's
he's content and he's happy with remaining there. But if
Trey Less is going to be the quarterback, he wants out,
so might be right, man. Before before we get to
(38:03):
yo your pony picks and all of this, let's let's
talk Game three. Mm hmmm Celtics Bucks, Game three, Grizzlers,
Grizzlies Warriors. Who you got, man? Listen, I'm going with
Milwaukee for Game three because game Game two, I have
not seen the Baston Celtics shoot the ball from three
point the other way like they did. I think they
(38:24):
shot forty seven from six from three point range. If
they if the three point shots are not going in
and then then that's definitely not gonna have a chance
to beat Milwaukee in Game three. In Milwauker, They're gonna
have to get into the paint and and score some
points inside because they're not going to continue to shoot
forty seven from the three point line. So I'm definitely
(38:45):
going with Milwaukee in Game three. And what's the other
game we got today? Grizzly Warriors. Oh I'm I'm I'm
I'm gonna go to State all the way for Game three. No,
Dillon Brooks. Draymond came out and said, I can be
nasty too, So that tells me they're going to send
a message from a physicality standpoint. Getting at the Memphis
(39:06):
they might just chip John Morren. I'm coming to the whole.
You never know, but I can tell you this game four,
when Dillon Brooks comes back, you can look for a
hard foul on him. But this this series favorites Golden State.
I mean, just like you said, John Morenn is special.
He's one of those players we haven't seen in the
(39:27):
last you know, twenty years. He's going to get this thirty.
But from a total team standpoint that they cannot play
and go to State, Well, my son, I don't know
how this has happened. His favorite player is Jason Tatum.
I'm like, where does this come from? They all weigh
in Boston, unl y'all, y'all light skiing. They got that good,
(39:47):
hell man. His favorite team is Boston. His favorite team
is Boston because of Jason Tatum. Because of Jason Tatum.
I'll roll with him. I'll roll yeah, hey, I'll roll
with him with that. When I think the Celtics will
in that defense and the way they can play and
shoot and shoot the ball, and I like Warriors by
by blowout. Now Plex, let's let's get your let's get
(40:09):
your pony pigs baby, let them know. Hey, man, you
know my horse got ma. I love my races, but today, man,
I think it's a four horse race between zandn. They
got him at three to one, Messier eight the one,
Yes he is. Messier's after the Rangers, and you've got
an Epicenter at seven to two and Table at twelve
to one. Listen, I've always been an underdog kind of guy.
(40:33):
The easy bet is always go with Bob Bafflet's horses,
but he's been suspended due to doping allegations that he's
been spending for the last two years. Medina Spirit tested
positive for a drug last year, so to spend about Baffleot,
he's not the easy pick this year. I'm going with
the four horse because that was my number in college.
I was a real quarter horse. Table will win at
(40:57):
twelve to one, and he wanted to sant Anita Derby
in in April and California. So I'm going with the
twitter one horse. He's not the fastest horse in the race,
but guess what, he's the strongest and he's gonna close
like a freight train and probably been by four or
five links. So if you're a gambling person and you'd
(41:18):
like gamble on the Kentucky Derby, take table the four
horse at twelve to one, either show win a place,
and I guarantee you he'll put some money in your pocket. Well, sir,
Plexico Birds just told y'all what to do. Keep putting
his money down, y'all, put your money down. I'm gonna
(41:41):
watching in Turkey Derby. I ain't gonna bet on it. LaVar,
we miss you up on game. We'll be back next week.
Thank you for being here with us today. We out
