Speaker 1 (00:00):

of Famer in Pittsburgh and and well the Steelers respected
l A Times writer says, it's Phil Jackson wants the

(01:33):
We got a lot to get to today. As you
heard in the tea, We're gonna start this bad boy
off with, well, the NFL schedule has been released, and
it's always the constant debate as to do you like
the whole releasing of it? Is it a thing? Are
you interested? Which one interested you? And all those good things.

(01:53):
But before we get to that, I gotta ask my boys. Man,
how y'all how y'all doing today? Man, how y'all feeling everything? Good?
You're good? You're good? You good? Good, baby, feeling good?
You know Plaques almost had the Derby winner, he almost
had it, almost had it. Please explain, Please explain to

(02:14):
me how you almost had the Derby winner? Please, because
no one in their mama I knew who this dude was. Listen,
what I'm saying is uh uh. That horse was was
basically a scratch replacement. So the reason why he was
able to get on the inside so so so well
because nobody had any respect for him. They listened, this

(02:35):
horse is eighty to one, but has any respect for
this horse man. And could you imagine that you just
bet like a thousand dollars or maybe ten grant on
this horse man. And listen, every owner bets on their horse.
So the owner probably bet a cool million or two,
but they would never us. Yeah, is really talking like

(03:00):
he knows what he's talking to scratch replacement kid on
the inside, because nobody don't. He's talking like they had
they had a horse of scratch. They called him on
Friday race. Hell yeah. Then went to the stall and

(03:23):
asked the horses out of race, and you want to
run today? And we want to run. It was a
responsible I'll get out here. R oh yeah, Mr Derby,

(03:44):
oh man, run that rage? You know how much? Do
you know how many style how many of them dumb
girls coming my way out? Want? Was I win this race?
Let's run this race? Hey look? And then he look
that They said he ain't running no more, I ain't
putting him out there. Got one more time we got

(04:05):
our backing into No, we ain't doing it. It's too
close to a turnaround. I'm running in. We ain't doing
I wouldn't run him not one more time. He going
out to the pastor, Hey man, they don't pay you
for that wholes a hundred times over already. Like man,
he's in retirement, done done, ain't no reason to even

(04:25):
mess with his stock right now. He wanted to derby,
what else you need to do? He ad, Alright, Fellas
that we got James Jackson coming up next to with
with I'm on your head? Be interesting to see how
who whose head or what head he's jumping on this
uh this week? But Fellas, the NFL schedule has been released.

(04:47):
I mean it's there's always like we could go through
all of it, like you know the other sports shows
out there do. But you know what I found to
be a more interesting conversation with this is are there
any are there any games that stick out to you
that that you feel is is worthy of the excitement

(05:10):
that they try to generate when when releasing releasing the schedules?
How how you guys? How do you guys take it? Like?
Is it I'm on board? I like it? Or I
don't like how you guys? How you guys approaching Well?
I want to ask Plex this because we played in
cold weather cities, you did too, LaVar when when the

(05:30):
schedule was released when we were playing Plex what was
the first thing you looked at and looked for when
we were playing? Man, you know what pay you know,
playing in the code, you really don't kind of look
at the schedule to see what's gonna be your best
weather games. But uh, you know, if you was playing

(05:53):
green Bay, you wanted to know when you were early.
If I said that classic where I said that yesterday,
I said, if I got to play Buffalo, Green Bay
or Chicago, I'm please don't let it be in December.
And if you don't let it be in December, if
you ask any money any mind, belpher they will they

(06:15):
look for one game only when do we play Buffalo?
Please let it not England or New England. Hey, I
look for the bye week. I feel like the bye
week is as a player, it's so important. If you
get an early bye week, that's whack. It depends on
how well you're doing though going into the bye week.

(06:37):
I just don't want to early by. I do not
want to six games before your bye week, at least
six games. I mean said man, I think we had
like a week four bye week one too. Because you
feel good, you don't want the bye week. I don't
need the bye week. Yet I don't. I don't need it.
Like you get to a point people don't realize, like

(06:57):
your mind starts to wander on you sometimes. Especially again
we're talking about cold weather teams. Now. I don't know
about y'all, but we didn't have an indoor facility in Washington.
So we're out. We're outside, like no matter what, we're outside.
If it is if it is crazy hot and humid,
and the mosquitoes are the side of prehistoric mosquitoes and

(07:21):
and could take down the Toronto source Rex and try
sarratops with with with with their the way they sucked
the blood out of you. It don't matter. We're gonna
We're gonna be out there practicing with the mosquitoes. If
it's cold and it's raining or it's snowing, whatever it
may be, we in it. Like, how can you even
have a quality practice if it's just point a lot

(07:48):
and the the Bengals still don't have one, Like wow,
what we still don't Like we were outside, bro, we
would practice, you know how during the games they have
all the heaters and stuff out there on the sideline,
we would practice. That would be out there for us.
We had no indoor rains ya had that at least

(08:11):
y'all had some form of heat during y'all practice. We
was gonna and like people like, let me explain something
to people, the way practices and the way players are
taking care of today like they do they do, like
they said, it's like one hour and fifty minute practices

(08:32):
hour and a half with a smoothie break, smoothie? What
what was out? That bad boy? To fifteen to three
easy to fifteen two hours of fifteen to three hours,
easily walk through, walk through, get into individual, get into
whatever it is you're gonna get into, you out that
bad boy were way off topic, broth, Hey check this out.

(08:57):
Marvin Lewis come to Cincinnati. I'll never forgetting the first
couple of years. But he had us out there like
it was Pop Warner. Bro We was doing Oklahoma's and
I'm like, oh man, I'm about to get a concussion.
Just they was put receivers into Oklahoma's only the receivers
that had the block, so Chad ain't had to do it.
So here I gotta go Oklahoma against safeties. No, no, no, no,

(09:21):
I went against the wick. I went against the safeties.
But these dudes is trying to make the team. So
I'm like, oh my god, here we go car accident,
and let me just run into him as hard as
I can so I don't embarrass myself. Bro, like three
or four reps, you tell somebody on our team got

(09:42):
it was so bad they had to, uh they stretched
him out. Then it was one. We've kept doing it,
kept doing, dude, get stretched out. We kept going, let's
just schedule to schedule. Let me let me hit you.
Let me hit you with this week to the Chargers
play the Chiefs, the Patriots play the Steelers, the Dolphins

(10:05):
play the Ravens, the Bucks play the Saints, the Seahawks. Platty,
I'm I'm wondering. I mean, it seems like Week two,
you know, the Bengals play play the Cowboys, uh, which
you know, we don't know what the Bears are gonna be.
But the Bears are playing the Packers, the Titans, the

(10:26):
Titans are playing the Bills, and the Vikings are playing
the Eagles. That sounds like a strong, strong potential slate
of games early on in the year. How important is
it to have good slates, like good matchups so early
in the year because you're not I don't know that

(10:46):
you can take away from week one week two, you
know what a team is going to be when when
it gets down to it and get into the playoff time.
But nonetheless, I mean getting off to a fast start.
It's super important when you when you look at the schedule,
it's the early games that I guess you would say
they matter because we assume the teams that are gonna

(11:10):
be good are gonna be good. But with the parody
in the league, we know that's not the case. There's
gonna be some teams that fall off. There's gonna be
some teams that surprise you. So early on. Obviously, you
look at the Rams and the Bills in week one
and say, wow, two super Bowl contenders. That's a really
good game. You skip the week three and you look
at the Bucks and the Packers. Regardless of what's going on,

(11:31):
those quarterbacks have consistently been winners. There was those organizations. Um,
since Brady is going to Tampa and the Packers have
always been winners. That that seems to be a good game.
You say, oh, the Bengals and Cowboys week two. We
look at that and say, man, that should be a
excitedly competitive game. But will the Cowboys be what we think?

(11:55):
Can the Bengal sustain what they did last year? I say, yeah,
but you just don't know. And so I go to
the team's, the coaches, the organizations early on that have
a proven track record of success and say that should
be a competitive game. But as we know, and as

(12:16):
we've talked about, I think this is about four to
five weeks ago, the Lions won't be last in that division.
And then you're gonna owe me what y'all owe me? Um,
just don't know what's coming up. They won't be last?
Oh wait, oh oh, you you already beat me that
they would be, right, I bet you they will be last.
They will be last. They will be that. They will

(12:38):
be last. They will. For me, it's just I don't
know how we keep getting back to the team, but
it's it seems like the Dallas Cowboys. Man, Week one,
you're playing Tampa Bay bucket is I think that's gonna
be a tell all tell off for this team, man,
especially the way that they ended the year last year,
losing Lyle Collins and Mark Cooper. Uh you know what's

(13:02):
my god? That went to Denver? Uh? Man? Why am I?
Uh you lose those three and then and then you
you know the possibility of losing Game one to Tom Brady.
And then the Dallas Cowboys travel to Green Bay. I
don't think they've been in green Bay since the last
time that, you know, the whole Dad's Bryant situation with

(13:23):
that catch. So and and I'm looking at the Giant schedule.
The Giants have the easiest schedule in the NFL. I
don't think I've ever seen. And they're still going a
team to have four home games in a row, and
the Panthers, the Cowboys Chicago, they travel to London to
play the Green Bay Packers, which these and then you

(13:47):
get the Ravens at home. You get four home games. Listen.
I played in the season where we had three home games,
but not four. You're basically just giving them a lip. Say, listen,
come on, man, y'all got one. Y'all got one football
games y'all have haven't been Please try, please try, just
win these games, please, man. I think that's that's basically

(14:10):
what they're telling. This is up on game, y'all. We
out the gates fast as as you heard. Uh and
and and we're not talking about the Kentucky Derby. We're
talking about well. Up on Game we got James Jackson
coming up on the second uh segment. Here, we're gonna
we're gonna see whose head he gets on uh. But
you're listening up on Yeah, that's t J. Hushman's Eyes

(14:30):
Plexico Burst. I'm LaVar Arrington. We're gonna take a quick
break and we're gonna tell I got my man on
the board to make sure he hits me with a
music big coming out of it going into the breaks,
because you know what, that's what we do on up
on Game We we dropped that that music bit because
you know what, that's what we do. Yeah, listening up
on Game Fox Sports Radio. We'll be right back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,

(14:55):

great young talent James Jackson coming on. I am is
he ready? Are is? Is James ready? I'm hearing that. Hey,
Ryan's James ready? Okay, he ready? Are you ready? T

(16:50):
j uh plex? Y'all? Y'all ready for James? You're ready
for him to get on somebody? All right? Well, well
come on, let's get on his head. There, it's I'm
on your head with James Jackson dead. All right, you're
all ready for me? You're ready for me? Sure? Hope
you let's do it. W y'all remember how I got

(17:12):
on Carson wentz It's head a few months ago, right,
won't I've been I've been thigging about the team and
basically dumped him at the end of the regular season
last year. They just better be sure they made the
right decision now, so the Indian Apple was close. Yeah,
I'm on your head now, I'm not. I'm not really
surprised to see them unhitching the Wench wagon, like we

(17:34):
all know what happened at the end of Week eight
teena Jacksonville last year. Right flux, Hey kee baby, hold
hold your horses now, because Carson did have you one
went away from the postseason, almost got you win, but
I guess close. Don't even counting horses this time around,
does it? But see they were rocking with Carson and
Toy started making a block hunt, so they went and

(17:56):
got Maddie Ice, right, But TV I saint always cooler
on the other side. Now, let's take a look. Last year,
Carson went through for twenty seven touchdowns. Last time Matt
Ryan did that was last year. Carson went through for
only seven interception. Last time that Ryan did that was
also in last year. Carson Wentz only how to end

(18:16):
of the season was a ninety four quarterback rating, and
last time Matt Ryan did that, y'all guessed it. So
it's not It's not like all has been good this
reason for Matt Ryan. And I also think it's interesting
that Frank Ryck was really the reason the Colts traded
the first round for Carson Wentz and they ended up
just dumping them back on the street after one season.

(18:36):
But regardless, they didn't look the output from Carson, so
they ain't got Matt Ryan from a sinking ship down
there in Atlanta. So clearly they're into saving private Ryan.
But they really need Private Ryan to save that. I
know you have. Oh I just I just really don't
understand what's going on Internet. Let me ask you a question.

(19:01):
Do you think that Matt Ruyn is an upgrade from
Carson Wentz? And I believe he's an upgrade Mentally. He's
not going to let big games fluster him, worry him.
He won't play if they're in a position to go

(19:21):
to the playoffs, He's not gonna play how Wentz did
against Jacksonville. So mentally, yeah, he's an upgrade. Answer question, yes,
because mentally I believe he's in a better place than
Carson Wentz. If you give Matt Ryan protection, he'll put
the ball where it needs to be. He's not mobile,
he doesn't have a great arm, but he has a
good arm. But with that offensive line, I can envision

(19:43):
Matt Ryan having success because he's not gonna have to run,
which he can't. If you keep a pocket clean, Matt
Ryan will throw the ball accurately. And so who is
he going to be throwing the ball to Pittman? Michael
Pittman will one. He's their number one guy. They drafted
the fast kid Alex Pearce out of um, you see

(20:04):
big dude, but can run. The Colts have an NBA
team playing receiver, don't do they all? They all six
three and above. But Pittman will be the lead dog.
And so I believe he's the answer a question. Yes,
he's an upgrade because mentally he's much better in a
much better place than Carson Wentz is. I think. I

(20:26):
think because of Jonathan Taylor and them having a running
game and them having a defense, Matt Ryan will not
be asked to be a a person that wins the game.
He will be someone what they were looking for. And
Carson is what they were looking for in Philip Rivers
and what they're looking for now. And Ryan is someone

(20:47):
who is not going to jack the game up. Don't
throw no crazy interceptions, don't don't do that. And on
top of that, the one thing that people may not
may not mention about this Carson winsfella, is that he
seems to be the awkward dude that comes to the party.

(21:07):
He seems to be the dude that you're gonna defend him,
even though you might have should have let him get
his ass with when y'all was up in there. It's like,
that's my QB. That's my dude. I gotta take care
of this, and we got to diffuse this. And then
now you got an all out bar room brawl taking
place and he's standing there behind y'all while y'all getting

(21:28):
lumped up and trying to get out. That's the type
of dude that seems to be in the locker rooms.
From every report that we've gotten turned off people in Philly.
I heard the same exact thing he turned off people
in Indy. Now I don't know, because I saw Darius
Leonard come out and say here we go again when
they got rid of Carson. So maybe dude support him

(21:50):
better than what the reports are going out there. But
I'll tell you this, I've never heard anybody say they
don't bang with Matt Ryan. I've never heard that. So
I mean, maybe just as much as bringing in somebody
who isn't going to mess up what they have going on,
who is going to make good decisions in terms of
where he's gonna place the ball and when when to

(22:13):
to hold them or when to fold them. You know,
I think that that's what they're looking to get out
of Ryan, and that's why they went for an older dude.
I I can't argue it's the mental stability. Man. That
last game that Carson Wentz played against the Jacks. They

(22:34):
they saw that and they said, this dude, ain't he's
not right mentally, man. He literally has given this game away.
A quarterback with his talents physically should not play it
as bad if he's in the right space mentally. And
they felt like they couldn't get to him, they couldn't
coach him out of that, so they moved on and

(22:54):
got a guy that mentally is in a better space.
That's how I lived a ment to leave. When I
think about Matt Runn, I just think he would never
be able to get out of that space of losing
that Super Bowl game. You know, up twenty five points, dark,
up three going in a halftime, and you find a
way to lose the Super Bowl. I just think, mentally,

(23:16):
that's gonna be a block and some something, something that's
gonna always stick with him. T J. When you talk
about mentally, it's something that he would never be able
to get over. I hear you change the scenery does
a lot for that. You get out of Atlanta, you
get into greener pastures. You may do able to get
over that. I mean, they really are possibly greener pastures
in Indiana Indianapolis. But I mean what I was saying, Hey,

(23:40):
before we let you go straight facts podcasts on up
on game presents. Uh, the great young talent James Jackson
give us a bold prediction, sent you on their head?
Where where do they end up ranking wise in their division? Well,
it's funny I say all this from Carson went to
Matt Ryan. But I agree with t J that you

(24:01):
get a better output just because of the better space
the veteran of Matt Ryan, and I see the subtractions
that the Tennessee Titans have. My bolt prediction is the
Indianapolis Cults coming into the last week of the season
are gonna be buying for the NFC South Crown. Oh
so you on their head, but you still think I'm
looking for can't be on the head, guys, know there's

(24:29):
different ways I can get on people head. This can
be hey, guys, Hey, guys, you guys, you guys. He
was on their head and then he listened to what
I had to say, and he was like, how does that?
How does that working with? You had two feet on
somebody's head. Did somebody tell you should add your feet

(24:49):
on the thought about what I said, how they should
have never gave that man a microphone. How could there
be different ways getting on somebody ahead? Maybe can't jumble
somebody ahead and then say they they got the division.
He gave them the motivational on their head speech. That's

(25:13):
James Jackson the Straight Facts Podcast. Man. We appreciate you
coming or every week bring it that I spoke for
what is worth. I agree with you. We'll see what happens.
I don't know that they do that well. But but
this is a team that has had a tremendous amount
of talent. I mean, Ken Pittman go to the next level.
I don't know it that it could be a question mark.

(25:33):
Can can they do it with what they have? I
don't know. It could be a question mark. So you
stand strong on your guns player, and you know who
else is gonna shoot their gun? Uh Isaac loewen Kron
without it? And I never miss and you don't I
never missed. Just good morning. The Golden State Warriors back

(25:54):
in the Western Conference Finals for the first time in
three years. As on Friday night, Clay Thompson knockdown eight
three pointers another epic Western Conference playoff performance in a
Game six as they defeated the Memphis Grizzlies one ten
to nine six. Also Friday night, Jason Tatum of the
Boston Celtics dropped fort and victory indeed at Milwaukee, so

(26:17):
that forces a Game seven in Boston on Sunday. And
speaking of game seven's, fellas, we got three game seven's
coming up today in the Stanley Cup playoffs, starting at
four thirty Eastern Carolina Hurricanes hosting the Boston Bruins. That'll
be followed by the two time defending Stanley Cup champion
Tampa Bay Lightning yup taken on the Maple Leafs in Toronto,

(26:39):
and then the night capa also north of the border,
the Edmonton Oilers hosting the Los Angeles Kings. Right now,
in soccer, we have the f A Cup Championship match
from Wemley Stadium in London, and you have Chelsea and
Liverpool scoreless. They are four minutes into stoppage time in

(27:00):
for in the first half, so if there's a goal,
we will be collecting some British guy losing his mind
just for your listening pleasure. Somebody has to score, but
somebody has a score, please make sure you have the
guy losing his mind if they score Ilo. Please let's
go rolling right now. Well, you mentioned the Penguins, and

(27:20):
and we mentioned you know, I Loo being a sniper. Um,
let's go to Pittsburgh Big Ben? Um, why is there?
Why is there bad blood here? I'm I'm I'm trying
to understand why Ben and and and his departure from
the Steelers is leading to conversations about they're being bad blood.

(27:46):
I mean, I'm I'm gonna read this. I'm gonna take
this from your boy. Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk.
Uh it has this to say that the Pittsburgh Post
Gazette UM asked this question doring it's sat on Wednesday.
Is there bad blood between the Steelers and Big Ben
with how his career ended and and was he ready

(28:08):
to retire or was it a Troy Palomelo type of
situation where he was forced into it? Uh Dolac said,
I would say it's very very safe. He used very twice,
by the way. Safe to assume that that's a strong statement,
and it's surprising. Some think that a year ago the

(28:31):
Steelers were ready to move on. Some believe that the
team specifically crafted an offer on a reduced deal, with
the goal of it being high enough to avoid insulting him,
but low enough to keep him and take it to
where they needed to take it to Um and accepted.
He accepted a five million dollar reduction and what he

(28:53):
was due UH to make. So it was clear that
last year was Roethlisberger's. Uh, you know, Roethlisberger wasn't the
guy that he once was. Mobility gone dada da saw on,
so on, YadA, YadA, YadA. But the the idea of
this was the move UM was up to to Ben

(29:13):
to take the reduction in salary. Obviously he had agreed
to it, and if that was indeed the reason why
he was going to be able to have a final
year in Pittsburgh. Uh. First of all, nobody's forced into retirement.
That's first and foremost. All right, if if if an
injury UM takes place where you just can't get back.

(29:36):
I've even seen guys try to still keep going even
with injuries that they know they should have retired. A
team is not going to force a player into retirement.
So that's overstated. Plex you played with Ben, Ben's your
your your buddy, your you guys are are stepbrothers. You're
you're you're the gods uh father of his kids. He's

(29:56):
godfather of your kids. Um, you seem to have that
relationship with all quarterback because you know you named your
kid after your quarterback, York all that stuff. Y'all got
all these great relationships. Can you give us the inside
scoop on is this real or fake news? With Big
Ben having bad blood towards the Steelers and his departure,

(30:20):
I don't know, man, I think they're smoked. I think
would have smoked as fire, you know, just talking about
last year. I think that they were. They was ready
to move over from Ben, but they didn't have a replacement,
so there was nobody to move on too. I think
that was a situation that that that they were in.
But if they if they had somebody that was seasoned
and ready to play, I believe that they would have

(30:43):
released been and not playing play his last year of
his contract. But one thing sticks out to me about
the situation. I think that when Mike Tomlin came out
and said after that Kansas City lost, when Pittsburgh played
in Kansas City, he came out and said, mobility at
the quarterback position is valued. I think that kind of

(31:04):
rubbed been the wrong way. And Uh, I'm kind of
surprised that Mike Tomlin would come out and say that
in public. I know that Mike Tomlin is very candid
with the players and in the media, but to single
him out in that instance, to basically say, you know,
if we had a mobile quarterback, we could have made
some more plays at the position and it would have

(31:25):
gave us a better chance to win. That's basically what
it's told Ben and kind of threw it in his face.
And then, uh, the departure. I was at the last
game that he played in hans Field. It just didn't
feel like a retirement and he wanted to go out
in that form. So I believe that. I mean, he

(31:46):
told my eighteen years man, that's that's a hell of
a career. Two super Bowls, follow time, all those things.
He's getting older, but deep down, I really think that
he still wants to play. But they're ready to move on,
so I don't think that he's gonna play anymore, but
in his heart, he still wants to play. DJ What
do you think, man? Man like again, man, the quarter

(32:13):
these quarterbacks, man, these dudes. Oh, my feelings are heard.
It's some animosity. You weren't playing well. They wanted you
to take a pay cut by like, come on, bro,
get over yourself. Get over it. Like in any other
position on the field, you ain't playing well, did you

(32:36):
take a pay cut? They're getting rid of your buttoned
out there. They didn't even get rid of him. You
knew he was on his last leg, and they the
year before they Roethlisberger showed he was on his last leg.
Oh I'm gonna lose weight, I'm gonna change my diet
and I'm gonna get in great shape. Well, guess what, buddy,
the previous years, if you're tearing your body down, it

(32:59):
just don't work that way any other position. Yourself, plex myself,
we're not playing well, we're getting released. They're not asking
us to take a pay cut. You're gone. So had
you been playing the way you played in previous years?
Because Ben Roethlisberger was one hell of a quarterback, take
nothing away from him, and then he turned into what

(33:22):
he turned into. Of course they're gonna ask you to
take a pay cut. They could have released you, but
they didn't do that. All this old there's bad blood
because they asked me to take a pay cut, look
yourself in the mirror and say I wasn't playing that well.
I'm glad they didn't release me, and they didn't release
him because what he means to the organization, what he's
done for the franchise a pay cut. You were not

(33:46):
playing well, take and have some accountability for what you
did and what you put on the field. And was
seven was playing his best? Yeah, Olivan Building Antonio Brown
and the sense of the parts of those two guys,
it was downhill. Any quarterback will look at average. I mean,
think about that though, man like bad blood, because nobody

(34:07):
wants to take a pay cut, right, but the quarterbacks
are the only dudes they could act to take pay cuts.
You get your butt released. We not not? Yeah, I'm sorry.
That's about to Let me let me ask you that.
Let me ask you this before we get to the break.
Do y'all think that them drafting picket was was a

(34:31):
whole lot of salt, a whole lot of alcohol into
it already what seemingly may have been an open wound,
like what would there have been a better decision to
try to Like, Okay, maybe you go get another quarterback
so you don't offend been too much. I mean, does
this this was this insult to injury to get a

(34:52):
Pittsburgh quarterback? Uh? For for the college team that played
addressed in the same building, and you're drafted. Hey man,
listen for the quarterback musician that the quarterbacks that were available,
Kenny Pickett. What is the best quarterback on the draft
to basically fit what it? Still just want to do?
I agree, and and and that's why they drafted him.

(35:14):
That hurt his feeling stough. I heard his feelers plex
and he'll be all right. They got enough money. You
can buy some feelers. Go buy some feelings, man, then
you'll be all right. Hey, I see you. I see
you in a couple of weeks man in the Bahamas
playing some golf. All but the country club man. Let's
go hey man or respected l A Times writer says
that Phil Jackson uh wants to trade Lebron James. We're

(35:39):
gonna broke that conversation. T J might lose his homie. Uh.
We're gonna touch on that that topic after this break.

(37:50):
his show. Uh we got Pulaski l a Times writer. Um,
he had some some for for you, t J, maybe
some disturbing things to say for Perplex, maybe some funny things.
But here's what he had to say. I want to
get y'all's opinions on it real quick. I've heard that
filled with like lebron traded. I've just heard that, but

(38:12):
I've got no nothing to back that up, no all
the record stuff to back that up. But I think
Phil I know, I do know that Phil would like
them to keep Westbrook and try to make it work
with them. Hm. They would like to keep Westbrook, but
in order to get the best Westbrook. I think what
he's insinuating is that Phil Jackson believes that you need

(38:35):
to get rid of Lebron. What what y'all think? Man, Listen,
I'm telling you you remember when Phil Jackson made that
comment Lebron and his posse bat when he was running
the Knicks. If I'm not mistaken, Phil Jackson just has
it out for Lebron. You don't like, man. If I'm

(38:56):
a Laker fan through and through, Phil Jackson need to
get up to here, Bro, Like you're gonna trade the
best player on the team if you're not getting back
two or three young guys that can help you now
and a couple of first round picks. What's the purpose? What?
What's the purpose? Like, Phil Jackson, get up out of here, man,
This is Genie Buss's team, Jennie Buss. Like they've been

(39:19):
in a relationship. Maybe they're still in the relationship. He
like he's a salvoteur. He trying to sabotage this man.
I don't know what I feel like, you coach, Michael Jordan, Scottie, Pippen,
Shack and Kobe, When you didn't have those dudes, What
you do when you didn't have those dudes? What you do?
We're talking for the top thirty players to ever play well,

(39:39):
he always had them. You didn't have those, No, he
didn't have He didn't have him in New York. And
what do you do? What do you do when he
was in New York? What do you do? Like? Phil Jackson,
get out of here? And we don't want you. We
want to we want our team to be competitive. You're
talking about trading the best player. Get upbout it here
with that, So get rid of Fiel, not not get

(40:00):
rid of man, get rid of Phil. Yesterday what Jennie
Buss is the one that's actually taking advice from Phil Jackson.
So his opinion, his opinion, and it matters. Of course
it's bad because she's listening. It's Jenny bust listen. She's
she has a backup against the ball man. She has

(40:22):
to put a winning product on the basketball court, and
she has not been able to do that since to
they don't help with getting rid of Lebron. That ain't
gonna help. Now. Now, listen, who you trading me for now?
I will say this, everybody is available if the price
is right, but it cannot be. We just getting rid
of the Phil Jackson don't like Lebron. When he made

(40:43):
that comment, him and his posse know him and his
businessmen right then and there. He had no respect for
what he was doing. And then he's continuing it. That's
just my opinion. Listen, I honestly think I don't think
Lebron James going anywhere. I think he's gonna be a
Laker until the day that he retires. But they have
to figure off something. I knew it was gonna be

(41:05):
a problem when they bought Russell Westbrook because he's always
been a ball dominant point guard. So he doesn't know
how to play off the ball. And everybody in the
NBA now, no, no, no, listen, Russell Westbrook has been
ball dominant ball down here. I mean he just come
up to uh, you know, pull up eighteen footer and

(41:26):
it's and it's just straight reckless. He didn't even look
at newbody he's been that kind of playing his old career.
But he's a Hall of Fame player. He doesn't understand
how to play off the ball. And he's been and
he's been the NBA with fifteen sixteen years and and
Lebron wants to play the point guard. So they have
something going on that they can't fix unless one of

(41:47):
them departs. HM. Alright, well, we'll have to wait and see.
T J wants uh Phil Jackson out of here. Uh
Phil wants Lebron out of l a uh. Let's see
how that plays out. Our two coming up next
