Speaker 1 (00:01):
You don't listening to Fox Sports Radio. Well, a good, good, good,
good good morning, buddy, happy happy happy, Fox Sports Saturday's
June the fourth, as we hang out, that's right on
a lovely weekend, waiting for Game two of the NBA Finals,

(00:26):
which I don't even know. I guess Smart night, eight o'clock,
I do, that's the schedule. But man, guys, what does
this mean today? You know, we are today nineties six
days away from football. Yeah, listen, forget all this nonsense
that you know, like we all love baseball, pastime, the

(00:48):
whole thing. You know, there's some great you know, some
great stuff and it's fun. And you just heard faking
talking about giving the scorers home runs this and that.
That's great. NBA Finals, it's it's I think it's a
great series. And we saw Boston and and listen, I'm
a Celtics hater, like I'm a Cowboys hater, right like that,

(01:09):
just when you grow up and you're certain teams that
we're really really good, and you either love them or
you hate them. And so I'm a Celtics hater. But
I love the players on the team and I think
that I enjoy watching them play. I think they're any
if I could what I how I watched Game one
was I don't like see the color green. I just

(01:31):
look and I look, honest Tatum, I like Tatum. There's
Jalen Brown. I like Jalen Brown. I like Marcus Smarty
is tough looking horor for consummate professional, right, And I
watched that team, and I'm surprised because I thought that
they were a fourth or fifth, fourth or fifth best
team in the Eastern Conference over the year and over

(01:52):
the season, Like you know, we talk about Milwaukee coming
back and and being you know, they're going back to back,
the whole thing with Johannese and how good they were.
You know, we always expected Brooklyn to kind of do
something the Sixers the same thing. You know, even Miami
and Jimmy and Boston we looked at them and said,

(02:12):
you know, good scheme, but are they a playoff team?
And they have come together and they played really, really well,
and it's a great series. It's a really good matchup.
And you saw it, right, like Golden State controls the
game for the first three quarters and then Boston just
kind of takes over. And I do think Boston's gonna
want I'm winning and another up one. Oh, so it's like,

(02:34):
you know, it's not exactly a novel prediction, but I
do think that they're gonna win it, and I think
they're deeper, and I like their stars better man, you know,
I love I love Staff, and love you know, Clay
and Draymond, the whole crew. But I think this Boston
teams this legitimate and how they've built it and and

(02:55):
tweaked it, and it's just really impressive right there. Well, coach,
first year coaching, you're you, and you're that you really
are terrifically well coached. You know, you look at them
and they have a purpose and a plan. They play
defense and do that, and so it's a good it's
a good matchup, but a good series for an otherwise

(03:16):
sort of drab NBA playoffs. And then you go, n
h l's fun, right anytime you get playoff hockey in
its own nature is fun because of its up and
down rush, right, like, you know, every goal matters. And
then you look at Colorado Edmonton where you know the
first eight six and it's flurry of goals. It's it's interesting,

(03:40):
it's fun, and it is, but all of it, it's
just all pals. It all pals to what is going
to happen in nineties six days when the NFL kicks
off the season. It's it's amazing to me because we
we as much as I enjoy baseball and everything else.
My mind at this point, as we hit June, right

(04:03):
we're post Memorial Day weekend, it's like, all right, next,
the next, the next holidays, July four, We're got a
month from today, and then it's like, what is what
is it? Camp? There's O t as going on right now,
and I can't get enough for the O t A
s and that's sickness. And I start to think maybe

(04:25):
I have a problem, that it's a football problem, and
I could only go for help and seek help and treatment.
And I have to start with my main man. You
hear them, Kevin figures the figgy figure, good morning. I
don't know if there's enough treatment, brother. I could try
my best, but I certainly understand that you're not alone
in this issue. This is like one in three Americans

(04:47):
suffer from a football withdrawals this time of year. You know,
symptoms include sleeplessness, it's terrible irritability. And you already noticed
those those team, those commercials where they go, you know,
if you use whatever drug it is right, and the

(05:08):
side effects are this, this, and this and this. I
love how they start with death. It's like, yeah, if
you have a severe toe wake take this pill. Side
effects include death, diarrhea, diabetes almost like you know what,
I think, I'd rather just deal with the toe with
the toe injury. Brother, I'm good. There's some pretty gross
nancy things to like you want to repeat them all

(05:30):
the air because they just turned your stomach man and vile.
It's pretty bad. So here's the thing, And I want
us to get through this together because we have a
long summer. Yes, we have a we have a long
summer to get through. As I look, I go, it's

(05:50):
June fourth. And while it's great to do nineties six
days is to count down and the fact that I'm
counting down is sick in itself. Now, do you actually
have like a calendar or something like can Philip I
imagine like a Philadelphia Eagles calendar with like a number
is of great players from back in the day. Just
hang on your wall. Who was a great nineties six
maybe a d lineman for the Eagles back in the day.
Simmons there you go. The number that comes the name

(06:14):
that comes to mind for me is corte As Kennedy
when I think of ninety six. But uh, Tess Kennedy,
don't told me Lincoln. Just in general, that's right, That's right.
I love it. I love it. There is. It's so
funny because I was thinking about this the other day
and im and I'm counting down, and it's like a

(06:36):
It's like a person who's in jail, right, and they
have the calendar and you just put the X is
through each day and you're just trying to get through it.
Fig trying to just get through it. Man. I mean,
do you do you fire up like the game pass
and look at some old games? Do you go back

(06:57):
and watch the Eagles Super Bowl victory over the Patriots
from a couple of years ago? Just to keep the
juices flowing. You gotta give something to give you a
little bit of action. Right. I think you're right, and
I think this is today I want to come up with.
I want to get and I want to devote the
show to this, to this ailment, like this whole ailment
of you know, missing football and football withdrawal, which he's like,

(07:19):
all right, now we need it and so we gotta
figure out how to get through it. I'll tell you
it's interesting because you brought the Eagles, and I tell
you and I give your hand to God because to me,
it's the Holy Trinity. First, it's the sport. Second, it's
the team, fair, and it's the player. Right, That's how

(07:39):
I view it. So when you say Eagles, I go, yeah,
it's one thing, but I really just missed the game.
I would watch anything, and I love college football, right,
so when we always stall college football, so I just
missed the sport way more than the team. If that
makes sense. It does it? Does? I get it? You know,
you get jazzed up for Opening Day garless of who's playing.

(08:01):
You know, it's funny. We all get really worked up
and really excited over the Hall of Fame game. It's
like football is back. And then after about three snaps
were like, I'll wait another muff until real football starts again.
But just the general excitement to see guys wearing the pads,
actually tackling, not talking anymore off seasons over, I totally

(08:21):
understand it because I'm right there with you. I don't
think I don't know if I haven't as bad. You know,
I think there's levels to the sickness. But I'm certainly
in the same I'm in the same boat, just probably
not the same side of the boat. Yeah, I know
you are. I know, I know you are because listen,
I know you got a eye on the finals like
I do, and you go and you're a baseball man

(08:41):
like I am, and you know it's good. But does
it does it move you? Right? Like you know we
talk about being moved and spiritually emotionally, does it move you?
Because the answer for me is no, No, it really doesn't.
It can't. It's you know, the schedule is too long,
specifically when it comes to Major League Baseball. It's just

(09:02):
there's too many games. You know. The NBA in the
thick of its regular season used to be different from
me because back when the players cared and didn't set
out because a little management, I think I was a
little bit more into it on a day in, day
out basis. But now with the finals wrapping up, like
you mentioned here, pretty soon all we're gonna have is
major League baseball and what we do love it. You know,
as the finals end and we get in the June July,
you start hitting into the into the dog days a

(09:24):
little bit of the baseball season. So it's tough. You're right,
the dog it's funny because the dog days come when
there's nothing else there, there's nothing going, you know what.
The shame is fake. The World Cup should be now,
not not in in winter or in late fall winter
when you know we got we got football. When yeah,

(09:48):
when you choose a venue that's a trillion degrees in
the summer, I guess that's probably that that that makes
sense right right now? Listen, I know that, right right,
I know that it's what they had to do. But
you know that's why you don't. You don't cut it
doesn't deserve it unless they're crooked. They're cruel executive element
of it. Yea, in the world, old due respect about

(10:14):
the desert, right, but old due all due respect. You know,
some places should not hold an event like this because
you need to play it in this summer like that
that's the best time to play something like this. I
have to hold the sport. Yeah, and that's when it's scheduled.
And that's the light to your point. No disrespect the cutter,
but I mean these are major nations. This is the
biggest you know, sporting event in the world to be

(10:37):
completely honest. Uh, And because of political and you know
mouthfisance and and all and all of that stuff under
the table money change in hands, which by the way,
the mean FIFA's operated that way for decades. Uh, they
say they're cleaning it up now, I'll believe it when
I see it. But sitting here or there, yeah, we're
stuck with what the World Cup being where it is.

(10:58):
It sucks too because like Russia, it's gonna be like
on a twelve hour delay as well. Yeah, no, it's
it cutters like what fifteen hours ahead of us at
least here on the West coast, so kind of like
with Russia, like a lot of the games are gonna
be happening either really early morning or while people are
asleep too. Like this this is what made this is

(11:20):
why made Brazil really you know, work back in was like, yeah,
it's not only on our hemisphere, but they're also playing
in the summertime. And you know, even within the sport
of soccer itself, like playing in the winter like it
is does it really kind of like if you like
other forms of soccer, it cuts into the domestic leagues
like Premier League champions everything else. And yeah, for us

(11:42):
here in the States, it's smack tabb in the middle
of the NFL calendar. You know, Mikas, I love I
love me some soccer, but I'm gonna get overlooked pretty quick.
How about its? Uh it is one twelve in the
afternoon and Cutter right now, so our oast friends at
three twelve in the morning, East Coast six a him.
Have fun with that. You know, Team USA is playing

(12:03):
an afternoon game, you know, local time and Cutter. I
think I think most of the games in Cutter either
gonna be early morning or late night just to a
deal with the heat. So yeah, yeah, I mean even
then the heat is we saw remember Brazil added some
heat issues because they had some breaks. They had to

(12:24):
have heat breaks. People. People died to make these stadiums
in Cutter. People died to make these stadiums. I know,
I know, I know, I hear you. Then it's in
shame because you know, if you know, if the World
Cup is being help in the States, you imagine how
perfect it would be. This would be a perfect year
for that, It really would, And there's so many great

(12:46):
kind of like I know, they've talked about it. I
think down the line we're getting one in like across
North America, so, US, Canada, Mexico, yep, yep so. And
there's just even in the States alone, there's so many
great locations. I know, Christian Pulis Witch was kind of
complain meaning about US just had like a friendly and Cincinnati,
and he was complaining that not a lot of Americans
showed up. But I mean it's Cincinnati. Like I think

(13:08):
we're kind of more used to places like l A, Seattle, Denver,
which has been fantastic stadiums. The Cincinnati thing was just
kind of like, oh, there's an m Mols team in Cincinnati.
Now great, I'm not going to Cincinnati right right right there.
That's a good point. Um. But Chris, I'll ask you,
do you have this football fever, like this sickness that

(13:31):
you can't wait for it right now? Like it really
manifests and stuff. This weekend? I was gonna say, I
I don't know if Figg he can give you the cure.
I was going to just be the pusher though. It
just keep going, keep going deeper. Um. I was holding
out pretty well because you know, I love soccer as well,
like it's my easily my number two behind the NFL.
And you know, this run for champions Premier League Syria

(13:55):
was keeping me enticed. And now that that's gone, now
that we've just had that final, Um, I'm I'm missing it.
But usually what happens is I try to become at
this point like a Cicada. I just want to go
underground and emerge in August when we start getting real
football again. I cannot stand best shape of his life stuff,
you know what I'm talking about? Like we have all
these O. T A s. Training camps going on, and

(14:17):
you always hear these reports about like oh this chesterday, yes,
like yeah, and you got all these guys who are
coming back like I'm dealing with his lions right now.
Plenty of guys who are coming back from Achilles or um,
Jeff Acuda come back from the Achilles, and it's like, oh,
best shape of his life for some of these guys.
And like I I hear that every year sometimes, but

(14:38):
I'm I miss a deeply man. You know me, I
grew up in Northwest Ohio. Like I I know you
guys are love other sports pretty well, But when I
was growing up in Ohio. There was no sport besides
American football. None Like I technically there was like yeah,
sure you could go and watch the Mudd to Toledo
mud Hens. But it was all about football. Everything revolved

(14:58):
around football. No if answer, butts so right now wither
and I we say football? Right, We're talking not just NFL,
but we're talking college, college, high school, high school too.
I my friend would record games for the JV and
I would go hang on Friday nights, hang out on
top of like the uh the the tower with him

(15:20):
while he was like, had the had the video camera
going on? We just hang out there and watch football. Dude.
My kid has a mini camp Monday and Tuesday. Alright,
little ants got his minute, had his as his mini
camp Monday. I can't wait for it now, I mean

(15:40):
your children and I just go. I can't wait anything.
I start to go, this is a problem. I got
a major problem. If I'm looking forward to mini camp
for children, that's an issue. Let's let's dig know something here.
Did you watch any any for a second, any of
those spring games for colleges like Notre Dame has like

(16:02):
the Blue Gold game. Um, what are some of the
other ones? So you did watch some of those? Yeah,
I did, I watch some of them. Okay, then we
do have a serious problem, Figgy. Yeah, that's a that's
a bit of an issue. That's that's a that's a
gateway right there, because I mean, I know you're a
little resilient to USFL, but at some point it will
start to break down for you. All right, Well, let's

(16:26):
do this. Let's take your time out and let's and
let's identified that we have identified this issue, this problem,
and let's come up with the solution number like number
some of its distraction. Right, So, I got the list
of the summer movies that I'll throw at you, guys.
I don't know what else to do, you know, old

(16:47):
games or whatever. I don't we'll figure it out. Where
the fell is suffering deeply from football withdrawal. Radio Fox

what's up everybody, It's me three time pro bowler Lavarrington,
and I couldn't be more excited to announce a new

You asked, along with my fellow pro bowler t J.
Hudgman's Otta and Super Bowl champion. Yep, that's right, Plexico Birds.

(17:32):
You can only name a show with that type of
talent on it. Up on Game We're going to be
sharing our real life experiences loaded with teachable moments. Listen
to Up on Game with Me, LaVar Arrington, t J.
Hudgmans Otta, and Plexico Birds on the I Heart Radio app,
Apple podcast or wherever you get your podcast from. For football,

(17:59):
I can't wait for football, is right, Psycho, Chris, Football
it is. It's it's so odd right, like, so I
know all three of us are in the same boat.
It's just about who has it, you know, severities, right,
like you know who's got it the worst. But we
all feel it, right like we all feel this, you

(18:20):
know longing. And it's interesting because the whole sports, our
whole like sports bubble. See we all I'm a big
believer in the bubbles, right, so all of us, no
matter what team you root for whatever, the sports people right,
and now you have sub bubbles, right, you have your basketball,

(18:41):
your football, your baseball, whatever it is. But if you're
a general sports fan, right, you know, man, woman, you
know it doesn't matter Aids right, nothing else. Right, We're
just sports people. We love sports. That's what really exhilarates us.
And so if you love sport, what is it? Right? Like,

(19:03):
what what is the We're all in these little bubble
or all this bubble, like this is our crew. And
we all might have different you know, like Chris like
soccer second. I made like basketball second, Bay Figure made
like baseball second whatever, but we all have this thing.
But football draws us. And I don't know what it

(19:26):
is or why it hitilates so much. But you know,
I'm doing this thing yesterday off of O T A
S and stupid right, Like I'm doing play by play
of of Jalen Hurts at O T A S. Which
is ridiculous. It's seven on sevens and you know the
fact that he can complete a pass on its seven
on seven quiz Davante Smith beats Darius Slay. What does

(19:48):
that really mean in the grand scheme of things? It
means nothing, right, And I and everybody knows intellectually that
it means nothing. Yet we're we're so starved for it
that we that we engage in this crazy, you know
activity FIGG. Yeah, it's uh. Now, I will say this,

(20:10):
I don't know if I'm as deeply in trench when
it comes to actually watching and breaking down O t
A practices, that's another level. But I certainly understand Jones
ingolf for the sport, you know, and wanting it to
come back. Especially look, especially if you want, I know
what's it's optimism season for everybody at this point in time.
There's a worst to first every year, all that rigor morrole.
But if you're a team that made a playoff front

(20:31):
last year, you know you made it into the postseason.
If you're Philadelphia I use as an example, and you
feel you made some improvements this year, you're like, hey,
this could be our years. Some things break our white
who knows, maybe it hurts breaks out of it and
becomes a really good player, improves people like Kevin figures
wrong with says he can't throw it, shouldn't be a
quarterback and should be a running back. Is those sort
of things that get you kind of jazzed up and excited.
So I I totally understand it. Trust me. So is

(20:58):
it that or like, like to me, I go, I
just missed this the routine of it, the games. Like,
you know, I think about getting like a sat like
when we do this show on Saturdays. You know, it's
a college football show, and we turned it over to
college football. A lot of NFL but but a lot,
but a lot of college will breaking down the game.
Let's go to Norman and see what's going on with

(21:20):
the Solers, Right, Let's go down to Athens, Georgia, and
we'll go around the country and you know, we'll shut
up games and the whole thing. And it's it's it's
that that I'm like craving and I just don't get it.
And I'm a baseball guy. I love baseball, but I'm
not getting from baseball. Figure that's and that worries me.

(21:47):
Um well, I guess it should be worrying, I guess
in your specific situation because of how underwhelming the Phillies
have been and they made a difference in the managing
situation all Friday. But yeah, you know it's a little
bit different. Yeah, Zombie Joe sleeps with the fishes. Yeah,
I think I saw you tweet about that on Friday

(22:07):
as a matter of fact as well. But when it
comes to the NFL, because it's so scarce because it's
such a short season, you know, and they keep themselves
at the forefront of your mind just enough so you
don't totally forget about them, and I think that makes
you want them more. It's almost like one of those
like if you're hungry and you don't eat anything for

(22:27):
a little bit, the hungry kind of just goes away.
But if it nibble on a little bit of something,
then like forty five minutes later, you're even hungrier than
you were earlier, because you know, your body got exposed
to a little bit of calories and I want something.
I think the NFL is kind of that way. You know,
the fact that they the season ends and then here
it comes to combine, and here it comes to draft
and then free agency and then all this other stuff.

(22:48):
They keep just giving you little into beaty bites and
that once you jones and for more so, when they
actually do fade completely off the radar like they typically do,
probably around late June early July before training camp, you're
least started Jones. And for it, they probably do it
on purpose, by the way, Yes, yes, And I love
your analogy because it's it's spot on that the little morsel,

(23:12):
you're better off not eating. And the same thing when
you're trying and you have to you have to um,
you have to wake up, and maybe you're you're pulling
it all nighter or something close to it. It would.
It's worse if you take a fifteen minute cat nap,
Like if you just go to like I'm gonna go
to sleep for twenty minutes or an hour, that's the worst.
You just gotta power through until you can get a

(23:34):
true block of time. Yeah, because if you take that nap,
you end up throwing off your entire body clock and
it might not be as effective as you think it is,
and then you're just you actually end up being worse
off then if you just power through. Yeah, so so
so I understand it from that standpoint. All right, think
hit us with some trending and then let's dive into
this thing, all right. Well, in baseball Friday night, the

(23:55):
Dodgers got home runs from Chris Taylor and Cody Bellinger
in a six to one victory over the Mets. Trade
Turner a couple of hits as well, that extends his
hitting streak to twenties six games. Joe Musgrove took a
no hitter into the eighth inning as the Padres defeated
the Brewer's seven to nothing. Manny Machado had a three
run home run in that victory. Ardan Alvarez at the
new six year, one hundred and fifteen million dollar contract

(24:16):
and then proceeded to rack up three hits, including a
home run as the Astros defeated Kansas City ten to three,
six shutout innings for Nathan Nevoldi as Boston defeated the
A's Max Freed allow two hits and just eight innings
of work, but Atlanta needed extra innings to be the
Rockies in Colorado three to one. Yankees over the Tigers
thirteen nothing is Aaron Judge at home run number twenty.

(24:37):
Phillies fire manager Joe Girardi. As I mentioned on Friday morning,
Phillies will proceed to hammer the Angels afterwards ten to nothing. Minnesota,
Tampa Bay and San Francisco with victories in the NHL.
The Rangers over the Lightning three to two to take
it two games to none lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Back to the Fellas. Yeah, the thing had to happen. Yeah,

(24:59):
that kind of payroll all in your language, and your
seven games on there. What is it when the team
fires a coach or a manager and all of a sudden,
like there is an immediate wake up that I may
not last but like it was fire, Let's fire Joe
Girardi and the Phillies put up ten runs, win ten
nothing like what what? What is that? Figgy? It could

(25:22):
be a jolt of energy. It could be and you
are are closer to that situation than I am. Sometimes
the players actually are on the side of the manager
or the coach. He gets fired and they may realize, hey,
it change is needed, but we still love the guy.
So when one for him kind of thing. I don't
know if that's the case or not with Philly, but
that sort of thing does happen, or it's a wake
up call. While this is a drastic move, we need

(25:42):
to shape up now. Granted, I will say this is
not an anomaly for the Phillies to win a game
like this where they go off and hit a bunch
of home runs. I feel like and correct me if
I'm wrong. Maybe not more often than not, but fairly
often this season when they have one, it's been in
this sort of fashion, kind of a feast or famine
type of offensive performance. Know, you're you're right on. I
was just referencing more than a big picture in general.

(26:04):
We'll see it with yeah, with other, with other, and
even on the cross sports, right, like you fire a
coach and all of a sudden, you know that that
team wins a game, right like you know there it's
it's hockey. The I remember the Blues fired their coach.
They they new guy comes, Craig Barruby and they go
from Land's Place and whin, I'm winning in Stanley Cup. Yeah,

(26:25):
I remember that happened years ago with the with the Marlins.
They they hired Jack mckehan. Happened through the season and
then they were average at best. We got on fire,
got a wild card and won the World Series. So
it does happen. It's so interesting, you know, the the
psyche behind that stuff. Anyway, So here's what I wanna do.
I wanna go, I wanna um, I want to kind

(26:46):
of get into this football withdrawal and so Figgy, you're
gonna be the ghost of football pass Alright, Okay, now
you know my mind's twisted. But where you're right of
football past? Now in the ghost of football past, You're

(27:07):
gonna take the last year and maybe the last few years,
and then you're gonna look at Figgy's favorite moments, all right,
over the last you know whatever, I don't care, twenty years,
ten years, five years, whatever you want. You're gonna look
at Figgy's favorite players over that, right, And so I
want to I want you to be the ghosts of

(27:30):
football past. So, Chris, you're gonna be the ghost of
football present and football present in and now is everything
that has happened since the Super Bowl, right, So you're
gonna you're be in charge of everything what is going

(27:52):
on that now? Of course we need the ghost of
football future, all right, Ricky, Hello, good morning, Ricky, good morning.
You're the ghost of football future. All right. Now, what
you you need to do is you need to come

(28:13):
up with a list of questions and things to ponder
for the twenty two NFL season. Okay, all right, So
there there's everybody's assignment. We're gonna do the ghosts of
Football pass. Figgis perfect for that, alright, ghost of football past, right, Like,

(28:36):
it's all these categories, right, you got the favorite teams,
the favorite players, favorite moments, right, and it could be
from your birth or whatever you want it. It's depend
it's wide open, open ended. It's an open ended assignment.
So it's perfect. So figuring the ghosts, you know, at

(28:58):
some point if you can get Ricky, maybe some some
chains sounding ghost sounds, you know, to play along. But
figure will be the ghost of football past, Chris again
the ghost of football present. And what he needs to
do is come through all the all that there was

(29:20):
so much that has happened, so much that has happened
since the Super Bowl. And when you think about all
the teams, all the players, the big names right changing
and changing teams. Javon say Adams girl, right, you think
about that alone. DeVante, I forget the quarterbacks. Is DeVante Adams.
There's no longer with Rogers that he's with the Radars

(29:43):
right now. I mean, it's amazing some of the movement
and how the and how the the landscape will look
going forward. So you're the ghost of football pressent which
also includes how about the Madden cover that we're about
the yet with John Madden on the cover of it.

(30:04):
It's an awesome of Uh, it's just an awesome thing.
I love it. And then Ricky, you are the ghost
of football future when you think about, guy, I want
your questions, like, go onto these websites, these gambling websites
that have you know, futures of who's going to be

(30:24):
the m v P and who the quarterbacks. That's total
the winds totals. We went through a lot of the
winds totals last week, all right, but then there's a
million of the things, you know, like they have statistical
over unders for the quarterbacks. It's it's it's amazing. Like
if you're uh a football junkie like we are, all

(30:48):
kinds of things are out there, and not just ATFL.
You can throw Cole. I want you guys to throw
college in there, all right, whatever you want. And and
this is to help get us through. This is gonna
be the theme now. I also have something called the Distractions,
and so like I had the list of the summer

(31:09):
movies coming out and we'll we'll we'll take a segment
to dive into those to see if any of it
interests us. Because what it is now is from Saturday,
this Saturday today, June four, to get nineties six days
from today and not wish away our lives, right, like

(31:29):
nobody wants to wish away the summer, and the summer
is supposed to be the best part of the year, right,
so you know you have vacations, some downtime, we know,
trip daily trips to the Beats or whatever. It is, right, good,
good quality time. We don't want to wish it away,
you know, I mean that's not right. However, we still
gotta get through it. Nineties six days until we get

(31:53):
hitillated again, right until we we we get moved both,
you know, in spiritual lee moved when it comes to
the NFL. So this is what we got today. This
is the show today. You know, it was funny when
I was mapping it out last night, I'm going, well,
we have the NBA and we'll get into I'm sure

(32:15):
you know, we'll get into some Celtic's Warriors, and I'm
sure we will at some point. But in reality, I
always think, all right, how am I feeling? Because if
I'm feeling a certain way, chances are if you're a
sports fan, you're feeling a certain way. And I had
this crazy longing after yesterday's O T S. I'm like,

(32:36):
I mean, I can't, I mean, O T A. It's
like this little tease fig he used it perfectly. It's
like a little pretzel. It's like you're starving and it's
like a piece of a pretzel. It's the morsel food
and it's not enough sustenance, like you need more. So
we're gonna give you more today. We'll help you get
through it because what ails you ails us, because we're

(33:00):
the Fellas right here on Fox Sports Radio. Fox Sports
Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation.
Catch all of our shows at Fox sports Radio dot
com and within the I Heart Radio app search f
s R to listen live. Welcome Mac Los our Man,

(33:20):
Figgis I go, Chris Ricky, I'm cause and that's who
we are where the Fellas every week on Fox Sports Radio.
Here's the deal. The ghosts, the football ghosts will appear
coming up next hour and uh they will pose us
with with interesting thoughts that will take me the alp

(33:44):
one through the past, the president and the future looking
to the future. So we will do that. The Ghosts
of Football will will appear next hour. But I do
have a question, and you know, we're talking a lot
about the O. T A s and know it's look,
it's seven on seven and it's gatherings and that's kind
of what it is. I'm figuring it does two things.

(34:09):
Does the attendance for O T A Does it really matter?
Because I think it does. But you know again, I
also think that training camps need to be a little
bit more. I don't say tougher, because that that's the
wrong connotation, but I think you think you need to
build more callouses and camps are effect on the other way,

(34:34):
which is there there They're you know, gonna be more
days off during training camp. And I'm not saying it
should go back to the days of you know, the
eighties and nineties when it was ridiculous and the heat
and you know, coaches would you know, not give you
water enough water. I'm I'm not I'm not talking about that.
I'm talking about more, you know, building up some cows.

(34:54):
It is getting a little more tackling just so you
get you can, you know, get into that football shape.
So my question is, are are those two things antiquated
or do you think they matter? I don't know if
they're antiquated. I do think there's there's a sweet spot
in the middle when it comes to O T S.
I think it depends on who should be there and

(35:15):
who shouldn't. Like, does Aaron Rodgers need to go to
TIS at this point in his career. Probably not now.
If you want to say he lost his big weapon
in Davante Adams and he wants to get more of
a rapport with his receivers or newer receivers, maybe there's
something to that, But I don't know if it's as
necessary for you know, veterans as it is for say
a guy like Tua or say a guy like Jalen Hurts,

(35:36):
you know, especially guys who have had issues, you know,
maybe you're throwing the ball or with accuracy. They need
as many reps in a controlled environment as they possibly
can with coaching, but a lot of other guys don't.
So I would say, for me, I'd rather have a
lot of my young guys more so than my veterans,
you know, get classroom work and know exactly what they're doing,
use o TIS as a teaching period. So by the

(35:58):
time camp rolls around, you know, the veterans already know
what they're doing, especially if you're in a program you've
been in for a while. The young guys don't. So
the young guys who have a little bit more of
a learning curve by the time they come in for
actual training camp and as far as camp in general
goes um, I think there's a happy medium there. I mean,
you look at look at the Rams. You know, since
Sean McVeigh has become the head coach, they have never
played a starter in a single preseason game, and you

(36:20):
can't say that it's negatively affected them in any way,
shape or form. They've been to the playoffs pretty much
every year except one, I believe in that one year
they were five hundred and they won the Super Bowl
last season. So I do think that there it depends
on the player. It depends on the situation and the
players that you have in your particular program. So, uh,
is there something too saying you need more callousis and
more hits in camp and maybe more preseason possibly, But

(36:42):
I do think it just varies from the coaching staff
and from the players that you have when your roster.
It is funny because you know, you listen to and
we had a little clip and Colin was saying and
that you know, like you know, football coaches say things
and you know a lot a lot of times they're
not true, and and that's that's point. It's right, But uh,

(37:03):
sometimes I wonder, I wonder, you know, if you if
camp was a little bit more stringent early, right do
you play? What impact does that have on injuries? Right? Like?
What impact is it? Is it better not to like something.

(37:24):
It's funny because you know, I think they still grapple
with this in the idea of building calluses and again
exposing yourself to injury and camp and that's always been
a huge blood with team. When you suffer a loss
in training camp, for and you know, that's significant. So

(37:44):
it's it's that balancing act of protecting your team, protecting
your players, and also building them with enough causes so
they can start the season and play well. Unless you think,
you know, with the added the seventieth game, it's just
even more a reason to play yourself in the game
shape over the monthly September. Yeah, because and I all,

(38:07):
everything for me is purely anecdotal. I'm sure there are
numbers and studies that are done on this, but I
don't know. I can't remember of a significant injury that
happened in the training camp because somebody got tackled by
a teammate. You know, I remember Teddy Bridgewater, you know,
tearing his a c L in a non contact situation
during training camp. You know, I can think of a
few situations like that, and something like that can happen

(38:30):
in a game, it can happen in practice, it can
happen at any point in time. So I do think
that being able to tackle and tackling has been a
problem in this sport for the last few years. And
I do think a big part of it is teams
don't tackle live in practice anymore, and I do think
that's a problem, and I think we've seen a lot
more of a proliferation instead of preseason games, which I
know we've reduced it by one. Is a lot of

(38:50):
these teams scrimmages, you know, and they're using these almost
as as a substitute for preseason games to try to
get extra work in and contact working in a controlled
environment where or not literally trying to kill somebody. And
I think that's probably the greater direction that we're going in,
where you can build up Kallis has hit people, but
have a big control so you're not actually in a
situation where guys are at risk of suffering a major

(39:12):
injury if you can avoid it at least. Yeah, Yeah,
and I think that's the that's the balance. Listen, it
definitely was out of whack, right, So I don't know
where the middle lies. Is the middle today or have
we passed the middle? Like I'll say, the one end
of the spectrum. I'm pretty confident. You know, I used

(39:33):
to do a show with Brian Baldinger and bald I
Love and when used to join us all the time.
Baldy was a guy that when he played in the
eighties with the Cowboys. You know, they played seven preseason
games and they started they think figgy, they started training

(39:53):
camp July seven. That's wild, that's wild, and their first
pieces the game will be probably like the first week
of August I'm imagining, or maybe even the last week
of July actually earlier. If it's seven weeks, you're right,
You're right, that's wild. Seven right, think about that, Like
that's half a season. I think we can all agree that. Again,

(40:17):
they were exactly so that's we can identify that as
one end of the spectrum, right, Like that's the ultimate
one end of respective. Now, are we past the middle
or is this the middle? Right? Like, I think that's
kind of the question. Yeah, that's a great question. So

(40:37):
we got. All right, well, let's discuss it. We got
the ghosts. Prepare Figgy, the ghosts are coming. The ghosts
are coming. Fellas on Fox. Well a good morning, good morning,
good morning, good morning, Happy happy Saturday, June four. We
are the Fellas. You're Figgy, Kevin fig is our man psycho. Chris,

(41:02):
we got Rourokie are fine producer together where the fellas,
I'm cousin. What we do is geek out every Saturday
and what we love and we love our sports. And
you know, it's funny we've hit that calendar and I say,
June the four, I talked about the calendar. Now, yeah,
we're in the middle of the NBA Finals. Game two

(41:25):
between Boston Golden State will happen tomorrow night. And uh,
I like Boston. I would said it earlier, but I
said before the series on my local shot, I just
think Boston, you know, and look this series. You's got
to me, it's got you know, it's five six, I
mean six seven games written all over. It's gonna be
a long series. And uh, I'm probably you expect Golden

(41:49):
State to come back a little bit and they'll probably
take one in Boston as well. But but it's it's
a really it's a fun series. And what has been
a kind of a draft NBA playoffs with a lot
of blowouts, so you know, this is kind I think
it's going to be a pretty good you know, certainly
Game one was fun, and I think the series is

(42:10):
gonna be a fun series. But when you look around
and look at the NHL is fun, and you know,
baseball is the great companion of summer. However, we all
look towards football, and so when there's these O t
as you think about it O T A, right, it's
just you know, these organized training you know, to organized

(42:33):
team activities. And when you think about it's seven on seven, right, like,
you know, it's a way to gather. It's the beginning
install you know, get the rookies acclimated, you know, get
everybody together. And that's really the sole purpose. You're not
gonna learn anything, right, but because they're practicing, because there's

(42:54):
media there, and because we're all starved, we're gonna you know,
dive into it and we're gonna look at it like
we and I was diving into yesterday. Following along then
the play by play of Jalen Hurts, who is the
Eagles quarterback, and he's trying to solidify himself as the
starter for the future, not just the present. And you know,

(43:17):
so it just becomes something to talk about. And and
it's funny because all it really means is or is
in his excuse to talk a little football. That's it, guys.
That's all it is. It's it's not deeper, it's not
anything more. That's all it is. It's just the way
the excuse us to talk a little football. So in

(43:40):
our way to try to get from today June fourth, nineties,
six days to the opener, we're gonna we're gonna have
the ghosts of football. And you know, I just want
to meet the ghosts for you, the ghost of football past.
It's Aggy. Hello, goest to football fat past. Hello, Anthony.

(44:08):
I can't do through face, neither can the football past. Yes,
go ahead, please, Well, I want to introduce someone. Tell
you tell the audience. It goes to football past. He's
coming up with all kinds of you know, interesting nuggets,

(44:33):
his opinions, everything from football pass. So he's gonna throw
out a topic. Baby, it's his favorite games, players, teams
of the past, and then we will discuss it all right,
So that's figgy. Ghost of Football Pass. Now let's meet
Ghosts of Football Present. That would be Psycho Chris. Hello,

(44:54):
Ghosts of Football Present. So I kept sitting here thinking
about something to say from Christmas Carol, and now I
can't remember anything like I was trying to. I was
trying to do it Marley thing. So no, I'm I'm here,
I'm here, I've got plenty of notes. It's uh, it's
been busy this offseason. Now, ghost and please give me
the ghost sounds. And the Ghost of Football Present is responded,

(45:20):
thank you. I like that one. That's going great. Yeah,
that's good. Ghost of Football Presents. A present is responsible
for all the happenings across football from you know Nick
Saban's fight with everyone, you know, through all the NFL stuff.

(45:44):
He's responsible for that. He'll throw out those topics, will discuss,
and then of course the Ghosts of Football Future Ricky. Hello, ghost, hullo, ghost,

(46:06):
Ghost Ricky, You'll be in charge of all the happenings
of the future. Right, all the discussion points as to
what might occur in the two season, Is that right,
Ghost Ricky? That's right? All right? Without further ado, I

(46:30):
go back to Ghost Figgy. Hello, Ghost Figgy, Hello Anthony.
Let me take you back in time to a uh so,
a pretty entertaining spot, I would say. And I'm not
gonna go very far back for you there, Anthony. This
this was on that I think we can all enjoy
unless you're in Buffalo, and I think I know where
you're You think you know where I'm going here? How

(46:52):
about the Digital Playoff January two thousand and twenty two,
lauded as one of the great playoff games in NFL history,
at least one of the great playoff games and in
the NFL in the last twenty years or so. We
take you to Arrowhead, Kansas City, Buffalo, back and forth,
no defense whatsoever, and no one cares. Patrick Mahomes, Jonathan

(47:18):
josh Allen, back and forth, nip and tuck, and yet
because of a overtime rule that's been called him the
question and was brought to the table of the competition committee.
Not much of that. I helped Buffalo in that moment
in time. Of course, Kansas City gets the ball first day,
score a touchdown, and the rest is history. But really

(47:38):
one of the great moments in playoff history, recent playoff history,
especially and one of the great games, one of the
most fun watches I can remember. Kansas City forty two
Buffalo thirty six in the divisional playoff game earlier this year.
How's that, Anthony, Oh my god, that is so incredible, man,
that game I think we talked. We were freak and out,

(48:00):
and you remember I was freaking out over that game.
How amazing. And now I can't believe the game ended
like that. I know, And that's a game or a
potential matchup we can see multiple times over the next
ten years. So what did you forty two thirty six?

(48:23):
They score Buffalo in the fourth quarter. Buffalo scores fifteen points.
The Chiefs scored thirteen points. Oh my god, that was
so amazing. So let's think about it. Right, So at
the end of the I mean, the fourth quarter was ridiculous, right,

(48:43):
So it goes. It starts off with Tyree Kill returning
a punt forty five yards to the Bills sixteen right. Uh,
Booker kicks the field goal, Chiefs up. Bills then go
set in the five yards in nineteen place goes Figgy.

(49:04):
There's a fourth and four from the Chiefs. Twenty four
shots Allan scrambles six yards for the first time. Then
when it's fourth and thirteen, he throws a twenty seven
yard touched own past the Gabriel Davis. Oh my god.
Then a two point conversion goes Figgy. Bills up twenty nine,

(49:29):
twenty six, one, fifty four to go. But could they
stop Kansas City, goes Figgy. Now that try the Chiefs
goes seventy five yards, it's seven plays my Homes to

(49:49):
Tyreek Hill. No longer with the Chiefs. Mahomes the Tyreek Hill.
It's thirty three, twenty nine. Would they hold on Figgy, No,
no they would not. That's correct, goes Figgy. Because with
fifty seven seconds to go, Josh Allen eight yards to Davis,

(50:17):
twelve yards to Davis, sixteen yards at uh the Emmanuel Sanders,
and then he throws a nineteen yard touchdown pass to
Davis Bills thirty six. Geez, thirty three. It's over right,

(50:38):
good man. It's amazing. Touched back on the kickoff, my
Homes goes nineteen to Tyree Hill. That runs just five
seconds off the clock, and then he throws a twenty
five yard passed at Kelsey first down Bills at the

(51:01):
Bill's thirty one yard line, they run it down out
a five seconds forty nine yard field goal. Boom, it's
good and we're going over time. I mean, we've had
one of the most amazing things, like like we thought
that game was over four different times and it was

(51:23):
fourteen seconds left. I'm sure Josh Allen is tired of
hearing about it. I think Patrick Mahomes even brought it
up to him during the uh the golf tournament the
head earlier this week. Uh but it is, but it
really is amazing, you know. And the thought is, you know,
and I think I said it at the time, Uh
so this is not Monday morning quarterbacking. Why aren't you
squibbing the ball to take time off of the clock,

(51:43):
you know at this point, because all they need is
a field goal. You know, the yard yard line is
not even at that important at that point. It's the
clock because we know what Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Kill
can do. Even taking three or four seconds off the
clock would have been huge at that point, and they
decided to kick it away and get a touchback and
not take any time off of the clock. So I
thought that was a giant misstep. And I think a
lot of teams generally don't do that, and I don't

(52:05):
know why. I know, you know, it's funny. So I
know Sean really well, Sean McDermott, who is a wonderful guy,
great family, a terrific, terrific coach, and I had not
had the stones the other than general generality like how

(52:26):
you doing, man, Like I want to ask him about it,
but I don't want to ask him about if that
makes any sense. Oh yeah, you don't want to pick
up this cat man. I understand, you know, you understand
it's a bit of a source platform, probably because I'm
sure in his mind if he can go back and
do something differently, he would, right. So, so things happen.

(52:48):
You just have to figure out how to get over it, right,
like it just happened, Like you can go back and
play it and do the parallel universe thing. But who knows,
I mean, you know, I mean in that's it situation.
The the shame is that it's just one of those
that you gotta you gotta live with that thing. And
that was didn't it feel like the Bills year last year?

(53:10):
It did feel like everything was breaking their direction, you know,
um and that and it felt with the game that
they had. Gabriel Davis had over two and three yards
receiving in that game. It was like a career day
for a guy that was, you know, not necessarily the
biggest part of their offense last year. Everything seemed to
be lining up in their direction for that game, and
it all, uh, it all came crashing down in just

(53:31):
fourteen seconds. You know, Chris, how how do you get
over that? Goes Chris, like when you're when you got
when you're an O t A s like to me,
an interesting story is how do you get over that?
How do you go get over that? And get your
players over that? Very carefully? Sorry, that's true, Joe, that's

(53:55):
the joke I have very carefully. Uh yeah, I know,
but like the gott to be delivered with it. Yeah,
it's I don't brush it off as nothing. It's just man,
I I don't know. You got me like? That's that?
That seems like a diplomatic game I am not capable
of doing. Yeah, that's because it's hard to recover from

(54:16):
a loss. It's one thing to lose, but to lose
the way that they lost, and knowing how talent that
they were, because I'm sure as you asked them. It's like,
we as good. We could have easily we could have
been Cincinnati, could have beaten the Rams. That could have
been us. So that that's the tough part. Together, you
kind of get out of your head and you always
hear it's like, you know, just clear the slate for
the new season and everything. But it's easy to say. Yeah,

(54:37):
it is easy to say, and I know players say
it all the time, but you just you look at
that and you gotta wonder, like, is it that really
that easy? I don't know about that, man, I'd love
to have such a short term memory like that. Yeah,
it's especially tough. You know, if you have the Rams
and you won the super Bowl, it's great say we
want to come back. You can say it's a new
year and everybody's gonning for us, and that's fine. When
you make it that deep into the playoffs, whether it's

(54:58):
the divisional round, conference round, super Bowl, if you're Cincinnati
and you don't win, and you were on the precipice
of winning and you don't win, I think it makes
it more difficult to kind of get yourself up and
have to start all over and do it all over again. Yes,
because it's like you did not reach the top of
the mountain. You you got high up and then you

(55:20):
fell down. Then you gotta go gear up to go
all the way back up to where you are and
then try to eclipse it. And that's and that's very
difficult to do. You know. It's like you feel like
sisiphis to a degree. You know, my ass off to
get all the way up here or at least close
to it, and I have to start from ground zero.

(55:42):
That's hard. It's hard mentally, I know, physically is one
thing mentally to get yourself charged up to do that again,
especially if you feel like he gave your all last
year and it still wasn't good enough. It's hard to
write like like like it was the perfect build like
last year for the Bills, was was it? Like? Wasn't

(56:05):
that didn't feel right? Like that was the perfect climb,
Like at that point and moment of time, they had
built to that moment and they had the game one
and and that's the tough part to swallow. And now
you turn around this year and the whole a f
C is just a landmark landmine everywhere, one big landing.

(56:30):
Only everybody's good and and that's what makes it so
hard if you're a Bills fan. Yeah, but it can
also end up helping them too, you know, the adversity
you have to go through the whole learning how to
win situation, you know, not assuming the game is over
because there's still time left on the clock, that whole thing.
It might not even pay dividends this year, Anthony, it
might be something that helps them. They might win the

(56:51):
super Bowl two years from now, and that could be
something that they point to that ended up helping them win.
You know. So I could think the times where, you know,
I for the Colts, you know, how many fourteen win
seasons did they have? And then the year that they
get in as a wild card, their defense is terrible
until Bob Sanders comes back and they go on a
big run. Peyton is average at best in the playoffs,

(57:13):
and they still find a way to win. You know.
Oftentimes those are the times that you end up winnings
when nobody expects you to see. That's a great that's
a great point. That's a great point. I gotta tell you,
I you that what ghosts of football pass you? You
you brought it man like, that's a great one. I

(57:33):
can't wait till your next one because reliving that moment,
and I think about Bills fans like, you know, I'm
sure a ghost of football future? What what will? Like?
What would you get involved in? If you're a Bills fan,
how do you approach the season? Like you just want
to wish it all away, to get the January like

(57:54):
where everybody else like us, we're just trying to get
nineties six days to the start of it. If you're
a Bills fan, you want to get all the way
to the January three and pick up where you left off. Yeah,
it's almost like the regular season. It's just as almost
like a footnote. He was like, all right, we're never
gonna be good in the regular season. We're gonna win

(58:15):
some games. The playoffs is all that matters. It's one
of those you're like an NBA team. It's cruel. It's
one of those sort of ghosts. Yes, Gohos, Figgy, it's cruel.
It's cruel. We'll come back just the moment and uh,
we'll visit with ghosts a Football Present where the fellas

(58:36):
right here or the one fella and three ghosts right
here on Fox Sports Radio. All right, welcome back, fellas
hanging out on a fun Saturday morning, summer Saturday morning
in June, or our mind wanders to football. So I

(59:02):
had to summon my friends, the ghosts of football. So
for the next couple of hours, you're gonna hear the
ghost of football passed like you did earlier Figgy coach
Figgy talking about Buffalo and Chiefs with an incredible game
and the play that Bills is a such a fascinating one.

(59:25):
It's almost Greek in nature. Um, the stories tremendous. I mean,
it's the Bills. It's it's the ultimate heartache of a team.
You want to talk about heartbreak, kid, heartbreak team, heartbreak
city is Buffalo. It's an amazing town with amazing fans.

(59:47):
Bills mafia. I just love them. I think they're real
and and they're you know, passionate, and you know, I
can't help, but the roof for them, I want to.
I feel like there's justice, like justice says that that
the Bills will win. I mean, Ghost of Football present,

(01:00:08):
just off the subject. Goa Chris. You gotta admit the
Bills fans and you're you're in Cleveland. You're a detroitter.
The Bills fans deserve better, don't They deserve to win one.
He deserves, got nothing to do with it, but I mean,
it would be cool to see them win one. We
I mean, you know, we had who was Eric Roberts,

(01:00:28):
long time producer on the show, was a Bills fan.
We'd always get to talking about him back in the
day and you know, Fellas Fellas alumni there Eric rob
talking about you know, all of that kind of learned
history he had because he didn't remember too much on
the nineties. But I remember we were sitting here watching
like Four Falls of Buffalo when it came on, and uh, yeah,

(01:00:50):
I don't know. It's it's a passionate fan base, and
like I think everyone should deserve just get to feel
it at some point too. I definitely feel as Alliance fan,
even though I'll probably laid it waiting quite a long
while for it. Yeah yeah, all right, Well a ghost
of Christ, ghost of football present. What do you got

(01:01:11):
for us? All right, well, let's start. There was some
retirement news, but I think I will save that. I
want to put a pin in that because I feel
like this I've got a story for you that's kind
of on an access Since we were talking about the Chiefs.
I feel like there is a story between the Chiefs
and the Dolphins, but I feel like I don't know
where to start. In the Chiefs for this offseason, it's
been very interesting for them because Tyreek Hill was in

(01:01:34):
a podcast where he was talking about with his agent
Drew Rosenhouse, UM, where Tyreek Hill said that I think
he wanted to be in Kansas City. But I think
what was that? Hill interjected say, Tyreek wanted to be
in Kansas City. Wanted to be in Kansas City. Um,
I believe it came up chief The co host of

(01:01:56):
the podcast there with Tyreek Hill said that the Chiefs
didn't quote utilize Hill properly despite knowing what Hill was
capable of. So we're getting that floating around. What does
he mean by that it's insane? Maybe before the game
the Bowl constantly, Yeah, I I don't that's that's that's insane.

(01:02:16):
Like you had like what seven thousand yards sixty two
touches like they they he was the weapon there, He
was the weapon there. So this idea, I this this
is weird, right, like the things floating around because I
think earlier this week we had sound from Lashawn McCoy
as well. Um. He was on another podcast where he
was talking about, Um that Eric B. Enemy is kind

(01:02:40):
of the reason he stopped playing. He didn't really like
the play the coaching style of Eric B. Enemy and
that kind of set off a bit of a storm
where Andy Reid had to step in and kind of
defend his offensive coordinator. But you know, Shady was basically
talking about, you know, there's there's reasons why this guy
he's like hasn't gotten a job up, and it doesn't

(01:03:00):
have to do with his race. It's more it's it's
more about McCoy would say, like how he's how he
coaches guys. They just rub certain players the wrong way.
So I don't know if that's the case with Tyreek
Hill as well. But you know, I I find this.
I find this fascinating because it feels like each year
we go on like nobody doubts the Chiefs, nobody should

(01:03:21):
doubt the Chiefs at all, and yet it feels like
we just we're there's so many little like kidbits coming
out of there, between this and Patrick Mahomes family and everything,
they're just there always seems to be some sort of
weird new drama coming out with the Chiefs. Is that
because ghosts of football present? Is that because it's just

(01:03:45):
inevitable when you're good, that you'ren have so much on
the microscope, like you're gonna be looked at through the
microscope that warts are going to show like you know,
you know when you look at the poors up close,
you see the imperfections. Well you were talking about, you know,
o t As earlier on about you know, kind of

(01:04:06):
that culture and working together and the Chiefs for for
what they are, they have brought a lot of guys
in kind of back and forth and I think when
in the case of someone like McCoy, it wasn't quite
the fit that they were looking for. But I think
when you start, you know, look going out there picking
up guys, and I mean the guys see it too.
They they they saw the Chiefs winnes Super Bowl. They

(01:04:29):
see the deep run the Chiefs and make each and
every year. They know that Patrick Mahomes is going to
be there. He's going to be this elite quarterback that
you can play with. And there's going to be plenty
of guys who want to sign with the Chiefs in
free agency, and I think sometimes they get there and
realize Hey, there's uh, this this isn't working out. It's
not just jump hop on board and you know, make

(01:04:52):
a deep playoff run. And I think that's kind of
what happened with McCoy, although I do think there is
something to the fact that the enemy. Look, he's had
plenty any of times, and there's we've seen these guys
get picked all the time if you're an offensive coordinator
for a quarterback like Mahomes, and the enemy hasn't really
gone places. On the case of Tyreek Hill, though, I
don't know what what that's about. Like Tyree Hill was

(01:05:15):
there for a good long while. He made his money
in Kansas City. He says he wanted to be in
Kansas City, but he chose the Dolphins, and just there's it.
Just it just feels like this is you know what
it is. It almost feels like it's red meat for
a bunch of these new uh podcasts that just give
the microphone over to a lot of these athletes. And

(01:05:38):
again he's sitting there with his agent, Drew Rosenhouse, and
they just want to kind of air out beefs. Well
it's a it's fascinating man, Like, yeah, I got nothing else. Yeah,
And we we love it, Ghost Figgy. Let's discuss the
Chiefs for a second. Do you when you when you

(01:06:00):
think about Kansas City, do you think they have an
internal issues or is it the case that I was
talking to that where I think when you're good, they
look at you through the microscope and you're gonna see
some imperfections. But that doesn't change it. They're a great team. No,
it doesn't. At first, no situation is going to be perfect,
and so I mean, look for for them. People are

(01:06:22):
gonna point to the fingers of hey, you know that
you lose Tyreek Hill, how are you going to replace them?
My thing has always been if you have an elite quarterback,
most of the time, everything else will fall into place.
So you get their offensive lineback healthy, you have an
elite quarterback back there. Yeah. Yeah, maybe their issues with
Eric bn me as far as being a head coach,
and I know Andy Reid came to his defense, but
that is and it ended up itself completely a different situation.

(01:06:43):
We're talking about just the Chiefs specifically in their infrastructure.
I think they have one of the strongest infrastructures in
the NFL, and they feel empowered to say, you know,
We love Tyreek, but you know, you're the way you
value yourself is not how we value you. And we
have a quarterback who we feel can probably be successful,
if not just any you were out there, but certainly
with players who are you know, maybe somewhat comparable, comparable

(01:07:05):
talent and not as good as you are. And so
that makes sense to me. I wouldn't necessarily bring the
bank for a receiver if I know I have an
elite quarterback who generally speaking can make average rely receivers
look good and good receivers look great. Yeah, we saw
this with the with the Patriots for so many years, right,
both on the microscope effect where it just feels like
every we get all these stories out of Foxborough that

(01:07:27):
just literally existed because we wanted kind of the inside
scoop on what made the Patriots tick. But at the
same time also like they'd move on from receivers all
the time, they remove on from plenty of players all
the time, and they just you know, because they had
that elite quarterback, they just could just replace the production
very easily. And I mean, Tyreek Hill isn't exactly some

(01:07:49):
of these receivers that New England had He's probably better
than most of them, except for like Randy Moss. But
like man, I I don't know, I feel like a
lot of that is on Mahomes and it's not like
it's not like it's you know, once we've gone past
Tyreek Kill, there's nobody there in Kansas City. They still
have some fantastic weapons going into this year. Yeah, I

(01:08:11):
gotta tell you, Uh, I agree. I think they have
great weapons. I think they're a well coached. Now. I
don't know about the enemy. I know, and he's a
great coach, and I know Spag is a great coach
on the defensive side of the ball. And I know
it's like people are the Chiefs right now are a
team that people are just tired of, right like you know,

(01:08:32):
the Man's is gone, okay, when somebody knew that's how
it works, right like, you know, it's like the Patriot thing.
So I think people are tired of Kansas City in
that way. I do think the Chiefs are a great team,
and I just you know, I look at them and
I'm just supremely impressed by Now. I'm my shocked that
they lost to Cincinnati, and that's I am. I'm shocked

(01:08:55):
at that sac of how that second half played out.
But I still think, you know, own in, you gotta
knock them all first. I still got even though Cincinnati
won and was in the super Bowl, I still look
at Kansas City goes figgy as like the chance like
you gotta knock him out. Oh yeah, absolutely, And again
it thought they lost anything. Pat Mahomes didn't retire, you know,

(01:09:17):
Andy Reid is still there, like the all the major
loss they have is to Tyree Hill. And again that's
not nothing, but for everybody to feel like that the
Kansas City Chiefs, you know, the the the Empires is
crumbling or something nowhere near close to the case for them. Yeah,
they still have Travis Kelsey, they still have you know,
decent weapons and juju, Smith Schuster, and I think they
who do they draft sky More this year out of

(01:09:38):
Western Michigan. Who's just a speedy, speedy young guy. And
I know they picked up market Marquez Valdez, scan Scanting.
It's not like this isn't a bad offense without Tyree Hill.
This wasn't this wasn't a one trick pony on their offense.
Like Tyreek Hill is a great deep threat, but this
idea that without him, Patrick Mahomes can't stir the sauce.
That's that's just ridiculous. I've seen this. I've seen Patrick

(01:10:00):
Mahomes do it with too many guys for me to
feel like without Tyreek Kill, he's over. And by the way,
he has a chip on his shoulder because, you know,
as great of a year as they had last season
and making it to the playoffs and all that, you know,
Patrick Mahomes didn't have the greatest individual you know, statistical season,
or at least it was believed that he didn't. You know,
the interceptions are up touchdowns, wearing exactly where they wanted

(01:10:21):
to be. And so I think a lot of people
in Anthony they're probably thinking, like, well, if he had
a bit of a down year last year and he's
losing Tyree Kill, you know why or why should we
think he's gonna be even better this year? But I
think it's different. I think he recognizes he had a
down year and Moore is gonna be on his shoulders,
and I think he'll step up and rise to the occasion. So,
if anything, I expect Patrick Mahomes to probably have even
better year this year. And there if you want to

(01:10:43):
talk about chips to like you talk about maybe us
being tired about Kansas City. Look who we've been talking
about this whole offseason. Look who the current a f
C favorite is to be the a f C champion.
It's Buffalo, not not Kansas City. Buffalo the Bills, who
the Chiefs beat last year in the playoffs and the
thrilling you know finish. But like people are want to
talk about Buffalo and not Kansas City, and I feel

(01:11:04):
like that's got to give him a bit of a chip. Yeah,
I agree with that. You're right, Like we we we
talked about that. When we talk about the game we do,
we talk about Buffalo, and you know, like all right,
well down, like as though Buffalo is they are are
the Chaps. It's funny using that analogy that you gotta
knock the champ out right to win the fight. And

(01:11:29):
you know, people do some people to put Buffalo in
that realm over the Chiefs. I just look at Kansas
City and I go, that's still a just a wicked
offense they do. So they're so dangerous and it was
I mean to shame. He's like when you look back
and I know they played a horrible second half and
the whole thing. But when you look and and Mahomes

(01:11:51):
was not good in the second half. But when you
look back on that Bill's Chiefs game, when the next
week it's almost it's almost impossible to come back from.
It's a shame that that thing was that should have
been the in the a f C Championship game. Yeah,
it was so good. Like if anything, like maybe the

(01:12:13):
only knock on it is like, oh, hey yeah, we
got the great you know NFL overtime rules where it
basically comes down to a coin flip. I think, and
I think most people are just mad at the the
overtime rules just because they just wanted to see another
twenty minutes of that game, of of of Alan and
Mahomes just dueling it out the way they were like,

(01:12:34):
this is this is that was a game that you
just wanted them to fight forever. It was just yeah,
we will be will be When you no, no, no,
I'm sorry, it's you're you're right on And when you
reflect on a game of that magnitude, that big, going
back and forth in that epic fourth quarter and the
epic ending, You're right. The ending was was so amazing

(01:12:58):
when you reflect back on it goes figgy. That's what
makes it so difficult to to to win like the
next week. That's why I guess it kind of makes
sense that they fell off in the second half. Yeah,
it's one of those You're right at the emotional high
of a game like that, and there's the pendulum swings
in so many different directions. You think you're gonna win
a minute, then you're gonna gonna lose and all that,

(01:13:18):
and then you come back and what was the what
was the final score of the NFC title game? It
was like thirteen to ten or sixteen to thirt It
was not high scoring if I remember correctly. Uh so
that Yeah, it can take a toll on you, for sure.
That's a that's an emotional situation to have to come
down and then get right back up for it a
few days later. Uh, that could be very difficult. Was

(01:13:39):
it sixteen nothing? I remember? Sixteen to three? Right? And
Andy has a chance to to kick the field Lo
get to touchdown, remember, and and he gives he gives
Mahomes a chance and Mahomes get sacked and that was it. Yeah,
And I want those two were the points that they squandered. Uh,

(01:14:00):
you can't. Can't give possessions away, give games away. And
I think at a certain point you feel like Pat
Mahomes will figure it out, to figure it out, to
figure it out. And the problem is at times last
season he didn't so and obviously in the biggest moment
in Cincinnati he didn't as well. I think some tramming brother.
All right, well, well I'll start with some of some hockey.

(01:14:23):
How about that. The Stanley Cup playoffs in full swing.
We're in the Eastern Conference Finals and the Rangers beat
the Lightning in Game two by the score up three
to two, New York taking it to nothing. Seriously, they
snapped Tampa Bay streak up eighteen consecutive wins following a
loss in the postseason. Will have Game three in Tampa
on Sunday to Major League Baseball Dodgers pitcher Tyler Anderson

(01:14:44):
improved to seven and oh l A defeating the Mets
six to one. Cody Bellinger and Chris Taylor with home runs.
Xander Bogarts went deep for the Red Sox. He had
two RBI as they defeated Oakland seven to two. Matt
Olsen drove in a couple of runs for Atlanta. They
notched a three to one victory in Colorado and extra
innings Padres dropped up Corbyn Burns and the seven nothing
victory over Milwaukee raised over the White Sox, Randy Rosa

(01:15:07):
Raina with the home run there, Garret Cole nine struck
out nine, I should say seven innings of work leading
the Yankees over Detroits, and in golf, second around at
the Memorial Tournament, Cameron Smith with a run stroke lead
over a couple of others. Back to the Fellas. All right,
that's us. We are the Fellas, and we're enjoying a

(01:15:28):
little football conversation and ghost a football future. We'll join
us coming out as. Uh. We visit this morning with
the three Ghosts of Football right here on Fox Sports Radio.

I hope your hope your your week has been okay
and been good and safe. Uh, we are visiting with

(01:16:13):
the Ghosts of Football. Future, the ghosts of football present,
and they goes of football past, and uh, we need
to be transported away by the ghosts of football. So
Johnny Gus is the ghosts of football future. Hello ghost Ricky, Hey,

(01:16:36):
where's my music? Okay? So to to your point, Anthony,
you know, next to Dallas Cowboys fans, I think we
can all agree here that the fans that deserve a
Super Bowl the most are the Bill Bill's mafia. But
they have a ghoulish task for the first game of season,

(01:17:01):
a monumental task against the l A Rams in l
A for my future, for your future. Do you guys
foresee a Buffalo Bills road win Game one this season?
Game one Bills Rams favored. They are favored by a point.

(01:17:27):
Oh really, so the Rams are at one point favorite.
I like, I think I like the Bills. I think
I like the bill I think there's gonna be a
little bit of a Super Bowl hangover for the Rams,
and I'm gonna go Buffalo to win the opener. I'll

(01:17:49):
take the Bills right now. How about you, fake ghost Figgy.
I feel like historically the home team that opens up
the season, you know, ring night, ever you want to
call it, usually does pretty well in these situations. So
I'm actually gonna go with the Rams in this one.
So you'll take the Rams nineties six days from today,

(01:18:13):
when it's Bills and Rams to open the season. You
got Rams? Ye, look at that? How about you goes, Chris? Mmmm,
that's a rough one. I I think I like the
Bills here. I feel like Matthew Stafford sometimes kind of
starts the season a little erratic. Um there. I maybe

(01:18:34):
a little bit of Super Bowl hangover here, and I
feel like the Bills are one of those teams that
just wants to kind of make their stamp on the season.
What a hell of a matchup start, though, But I
I slightly awesome. Yeah, I I think if you're giving
me points, I'm gonna take them. With the Bills. I
like them here. Yeah. I in fact, I think I

(01:18:54):
loved the Bills in this game. When you match it up.
I can't believe I'm thinking about matching up him in
a game that's nineties six days away, nine that's over three.
Think about that for a second, that we're doing this,
that I'm that instane goes figuring you're gonna need to
have me locked up. I think the wild card for this,
by the way, is I mean I I this is

(01:19:15):
maybe skipping on the next ghost to Christ Goes to
Football Present coming up. But the wild card is whatever
we're gonna see with Aaron Donald if he's still playing
for the Rams. I think I leaned slightly more towards
the Rams because he's just he's such a playmaker. You'll wait, yeah, yeah,
the Bills man the Bills Rams opening day. How has

(01:19:40):
the Bills roster changed? Right, Like, when you look at them,
I think they're still nasty, right, There's still there's still
that great team. You get you you improved defensively, right,
you still got your You got Digs and Gabriel day
Is and Crowder, which I like the Crowder edition. I

(01:20:04):
thought that putting Crowder in this slot was terrific, right,
and then you know you got von Miller. I just
think these teams a half an All Star team. Fig. Yeah,
I'm be just interested to see the impact that von
Miller has on that defensive line, because I do think
as good as he was, I think he benefited from
playing next to Aaron Donald. Now he has to be

(01:20:25):
the Aaron Donald. Can the other guys up front benefit
from him? Being there, so I want to see the
kind of impact he has on that defensive front was
struggle last year. All right, we are the fellas right here.
Fox Sports Radio. Well, good morning, good morning, good morning,
good morning, happy happy Fox Sports Saturday to all across

(01:20:49):
the nation. It is June four. And if you're asking,
what are the guys talking about today? Well, what the
guys are doing? Well, I know with with one guy
is doing. He's being visited by the ghosts of football.
Trying to wish away ninety six days until we get

(01:21:10):
to Bill's Rams is a tough thing to do, which
is why I have to enlist my friends. The ghost
of football past, one ghost figure, the ghost of football present,
goes Psycho Chris. He's the Psycho Ghosts, and of course

(01:21:32):
the Coast of Football future Ricky and this cowboy, this
ghost is a Cowboys fan. So I don't even know
if I trust this ghost, but I he certainly entertains me.
And it's a uh, it's a great time, man, It's
a lot of fun. It's been, uh, just a great time,

(01:21:52):
just a fun thing, you know, kind of dealing with
the whole thing, going through it. And I give his
thought provoking stuff I got one basketball Uh that goes
to Figgy if you would transition for a second. Curious
that what you think about the series? And you know,
we talked about Boston and I you know, it's kind

(01:22:14):
of bullish on them, and they look good in game
one of these fourth quarter right with that comeback? How
do you seek tomorrow night? Game two? Yeah, Well, it's
interesting in the comments that Draymond Green and I think
Clay Thompson even alluded to them a little bit after
Game one saying, well, those guys are not gonna hit
all those shots again. And I think that's probably generally true.

(01:22:34):
But I mean, I doubt that Jayson Tatum is gonna
be what three for fourteen or three for seventeen whatever
he was again too. So it's not like that the
Celtics went crazy and hit all these threes in the
second half and squeaked out at one point when they
won pretty convincingly by about the three and a half
minute mark of the fourth quarter. You're pretty muchknew the
Celtics at that game, So that I think that will

(01:22:55):
be the fear for me for if I'm Golden State,
even though I look they're fairly confident if I still
had to pick this series. Going into this series, I
said Golden State and seven. I'll still stick with it,
but I certainly look at the game. If the series
can go seven, then obviously the Boston has a chance
to win. If you have to ask what's repeatable, well,
I know Boston can clamp down defensively as good as
Golden State is. I mean, the way that they put

(01:23:16):
a little in the basket and really pressured the crap
out of in the fourth quarter shows what Boston can
do on defense. And they've been doing this since the
first of the year. They've been the best defensive team
in the NBA since then. You know, can they be
as hot as they were from from three? Probably not,
But can they be as good as they were defensively? Yes?
And Jayson Tatum can be better offensively. So with those factors,

(01:23:36):
I think it's it's not far fetched to think that
the Celtics, in a game that doesn't necessarily gettable, get
away from them early, where they're not down by fifteen
points before you can blink, there's no reason why they
can't take Game two on Sunday. You know, um, Derek
White was such a great uh, a great acquisition for them. Man,
he give just gives you that they needed that guard

(01:23:59):
off the bench. And man, you know, you look at
he's credible like you and Tony was. He's a good
ball player, man, and he's that kind of guy, you
know what he minds you off. When dallas Um is
able to get Bronson, Yeah, it's a huge pickup, huge
pick up. The veteran guy that makes it. Yeah, he's

(01:24:24):
not a superstar player, but as someone that can score
some points and really make a difference to take a
little bit of pressure off of the star players if
they're happened to be happened happened to be having an
off night. And by the way, I will say for
Jason Tatum, I know people give him flak for you know,
the bad shooting percentage, but do you have thirteen assists?
He did find other ways to impact the game, which
I think great players do find ways to do. So

(01:24:45):
I'll give him credit for that too. Yeah, I'm I'm
with you on that, man. I'm you know, it's so interesting. Man,
when I look at that, you may I look at
that seriously. I Wolston is remark well there well coached,
you know, like warriors are warriors right, Like to me,
it was I think was gonna be Phoenix. But if

(01:25:07):
not Phoenix, it has to be Golden State, and and
they are they are. But man, the Boston Boston is
is impressive, they would call. I mean when he's done
the first year, that has really impressed me. Yeah, I mean,
I look at the role that they've had to take
to get to this point. To you know, you get
you know, you eliminate Durant, you get rid of the

(01:25:28):
Greek freak, and I know there are some injuries along
the way that help along the way, but I mean
that's those are the breaks at times. Look, Golden States
first championship before Kevin Durant got there, there was a
crucial injury every single step of the way in every
series before they won a title. They're not making any
apologies for that. So look, it's been a tougher road
for Golden State. And wouldn't you say, because to that,
it's been a tough road, but probably tougher than you

(01:25:49):
thought it would be to a degree. I mean, who
would have thought that they'd go as deep into a
series with Memphis as they did, be down by fifty
to Memphis at one point where they did even have
John Morant in the lineup. You know, they're Denver game
a run for their money in a couple of games.
You know, there where times when you thought Golden State
will be heading shoulders above the competition in certain situations,
and they haven't been. So I don't know if it's

(01:26:11):
a playing down to the competition standpoint, or they're just
not as great as we thought that they were and
they're just a really good team that are as fond
as anybody else and can lose on a given night. Yeah,
that's a great point. Great point. All right, put your
your ghost hat back on ghost of the football past,

(01:26:34):
and let us know what do you have next. So
I'm gonna take you back to February third of two
thousand and eight, and uh, nobody saw what was coming
in this particular ball game. It was a foregall conclusion.
History was going to be made in Phoenix. The New
England Patriots were going to go nineteen and o and
complete the the regular season and the postseason undefeated season

(01:26:59):
to surpass the Miami Dolphins, uh and have the greatest
year in NFL history. And it didn't happen because a
wild card team out of nowhere this New York Giant
squad with this lacious pass rush gets after Tom Brady
and all of a sudden, one of the greatest offenses
in the history of the sport of football. It gets

(01:27:20):
held to fourteen points and goes to eighteen and one.
David Tyree one of the great catches, a real one
of the great just plays in the history of American sports,
to be honest with you, iconic play. Uh and of
course Plasco Burns with the goal ahead touchdown. It was

(01:27:41):
a special moment and again that none of us saw coming.
Nobody saw coming. But it's one of the reasons because
while we love professional sports, because when you think something's
a foregone conclusion, that's not always the case. And that
Super Bowl performance by that New York Giant defense against
that page right offense, Uh, well something for the ages,

(01:28:04):
you know, that ghost that's at such a great topic.
It was a great topic. So when you go back
into that moment, I'll never forget because the defensive coordinator
was a dear friend of mine, Steve Spagnola, who you
hear us reference on the show a lot, and Spags
was the defensive coordinate of the Giants. He had come

(01:28:25):
the year before he got in the job, and and
things that can't go that well, and and you know,
the defense was kind of feeling stuff early in that season.
The first two games they gave up in the thirties, right,
and then slowly he started to get it. And at
the end of that scene, if you remember who they
played in the final week of the season, do you

(01:28:47):
remember who it was? It was a New England Patriots.
You're right on, brother, it was the Patriots, and it
was a Saturday night game, and it was a National
TV Saturday night game, and in fact, as late as Friday,
no one knew who how if you remember, the game

(01:29:10):
didn't mean anything for the Giants. They were in and
all they could do is lose players. They had nothing
to gain. They were a wild card team and they
were gonna be on the road. But Tom Coughlin said,
we're going to play, and we're going to play to win.
Our starters are gonna play, and that's that. And in fact,

(01:29:31):
it's surprised a lot of people, including Spags. Spags went
in there on a Friday, they used to meet every
Friday for an hour to go over the game plan,
and he said, look, we're gonna play our all of
our starters. And he's like, all right, you got it.
So in that game they toyed with the NASCAR package Steve.
Steve had this idea of pointing his ends in the

(01:29:54):
middle of right and so you were going with really
four ends. And he called it the NASCAR pack. And
they had some success and he's he's leaving the field
straight hand comes up to him, o C and they
were like, Yo, we need to we need to do this, man,
We need to keep we need to keep going with
this NASCAR package. They had a really treacherous run in

(01:30:17):
the playoffs. They were at Campa the following week in
the wild card weekend, and then they go to Jallas
and this was Romo. If you remember Figgy, this was
a good cowboy team, a Romos, really good team. Yes

(01:30:37):
you remember, yes, yes, So they they beat him, they
beat him, and you know they played the NFC Championship game.
Oh do I know, Brett Farve, you got it. It's
etched in my brain. Tom Coughlin's face looking like it

(01:30:59):
was about to, you know, fall off, like it was
so for it was frozen red. It's like if somebody
would tap him on the cheek, his entire his entire
face would have exploded. I I cannot forever remember, or
I should say ever forget the visual of what Tom
Coughlin looked like on that sidelining green Yes, and and
even far right far like that was the game for me.

(01:31:21):
Where he looked old especially was yeah, man, he remember
it was so cold and snowy and all and his
nose was running and he didn't look like like he
was supposed to be the bear, right he was the
he was. He was that polar bear coming out and
Green bad like you're not gonna be Green Bay in

(01:31:43):
a blizzard, right like? No way, they found a way.
They absolutely found a way. It was amazing. We're the game.
And then of course that's that's set the stage up
for that Super Bowl. Man, that that was one of
them was interesting super Bowls. And you laid it out perfectly.
I mean you got Randy Moss and Brady and uh

(01:32:06):
you know they were they were more potent than the Rams.
That the great show on turf. That offense, yeah, I
mean that off and Belichick remember you know he had
no mercy. He you know, he would score forty on
you drop fifty if he had too, just for Grins, absolutely,
no let up. Why why should we? He was amazing

(01:32:28):
man that that team was amazing for then they and
you know what they punched him right in the face.
And it was brilliant right by the Giants is that
they they controlled the clock like they made it. They
they also made it by controlling the ball a little
bit and eating up clock and and keeping everything in

(01:32:50):
front of them. What they were able to do was
was really short in the game in a big way.
They were and and and forced the Patriots into long
yard and situations and four them to throw what you
would think to your point, with that offense as explosive
as they were, you think that's what they wanted. But
you mentioned that, uh, that package that they had where
you had, you know, justin Tuck and O C and

(01:33:11):
straighthand all in there at the exact same time and
the past must Scar package. Yeah, it was just relentless
and Brady had zero time to do anything. I don't
care how great of a quarterback you are, like Patrick
Mahomes saw this in the Super Bowl when you have
both of his tackles being entered a couple of years
ago against Tampa. No matter how good you are if
you don't have time to throw, uh, you're dead. Two rights.
And that happened to Tom Brady in that game. And

(01:33:34):
you know, the thing that really heard me because was
the pressure up the middle. And I think that's what
made the NASCAR package so effective was that they had
that quickness up the middle. And when you when you
think about it, if you get the A gap and
you can explode through the A gap, that bothers a quarterback,

(01:33:55):
especially quarterback that that doesn't have a lot of wheels right,
because you know why if pressure comes and you've got
some wheels where you could turn right or left. Right.
But if you're Brady, you he likes to step up
in the pocket right. He likes when the pressure comes
off the edges, so then he could step up as
a nice clean pocket to move up into and is

(01:34:17):
able to deliver the football. But when you got that
pressure coming in your face like that, it almost parallel
paralyzes you somewhat because you can't there's no you can
game plan around a good pass rusher on the outside.
You can chip them, you know, you can have your
guys stand white. There are other you can't really game
plan for pass rush up the middle. That's why Aaron
Donald has been so great and so dominant in the Rams,

(01:34:40):
have been so good in his tenure there because you said,
you snap the ball and you're busting through double teams
up the middle. I mean, that's everything. That's where the
running back comes through the hole. That's where the quarterback
has to step up into a pocket. And that's why
that's why those players are so important. That's why I've
always said, if you can get yourself a dominant interior
pass rusher. I know they're not necessarily as sexy as
the edge rushers, but you get yourself a great interior rusher.

(01:35:02):
They might even get all the sacks all the time,
but getting all those pressures makes such a big difference.
And to and to your point, the fact they were
able to get to Tom Brady and get him off
of his spot, which is to step up in the pocket.
You know that that was that was masterful. Oh man, Ghost,
you're you're you're strong. Ghost, You're coming up strong man.
I love it, I love it. I the ghost of

(01:35:26):
football present is on the horizon as well as the
ghosts of football future. And I have your summer movies
to help you get to nineties, six days and the
start of the NFL where the fellas right here on
Fox Sports Radio, fellas all right, ghosts of Football Present.

(01:35:56):
I summoned the like a crumb or a bit of gravy.
How's that line go? I don't what's the last time
you watched Christmas Carol? Because oh I couldn't even talk.
I don't even know what. How in the world I

(01:36:16):
chatteled this stupid thing. I just like I need football,
I need to ghost and I thought you guys would
kill it like you are. You know, you guys would
be perfect ghosts. Use The problem is, like the last
version of Christmas Carol I watched was the Muppets Christmas Carol.
So now I just see myself as Statler and Waldorf
over here. Yeah, it's great, I love it. I love it. Well,

(01:36:43):
let's talk about a little bit of past present, turning
into past and looking towards that. So I wanted to
talk about retirement and potential retirement. So I think this
week we saw quite a few guys kind of you know,
you get this every year, right, like the wave of
guys who are on the retiring from football because it's
just as I say, NFL not for long. I think

(01:37:05):
Stefant it just put it in. But I know the
two big guys were talking about Frank Gore and Ryan Fitzpatrick,
two guys who played for a very long time here.
Gore probably certifiable Hall of Famer right away. Ryan Fitzpatrick
always with a very interesting cult about him. A lot
of people, I mean, played for I don't know how
many teams do you played for? St. Louis, Cincinnati, Buffalo,

(01:37:29):
the Titans, Houston Jets, Tampa, Miami, and the Commanders. Oh
my god, that's amazing. He played all those teams. He
played all those teams fits magic man. You gotta give
him a lot of credit. You gotta give him a
ton of credit, you know. I mean, he carved out
in a really good career. Yeah, I just I don't know.

(01:37:53):
I think sometimes like it's fascinating, right because like what's
the value of a of a back up quarterback? And Fitzpatrick,
I think kind of straddle a weird line where it's
like this guy can maybe help you, and like the
biggest moments for Fitzpatrick always was like, hey, you're starting quarterback,
got hurt, Like I think in Tampa, he played for

(01:38:14):
many games when Jamis Winston just wasn't available played almost
a whole season in Miami in when you know they
lost the services of Tuah like and there there was
plenty of what didn't he get pulled in again? Like
to what was I think played so bad at one
game they like pulled him for Fitzpatrick as well, like
just fascinating. Um, But Frank Gore, I mean I thought

(01:38:40):
I thought would last long enough to play with his
you know, Lebron talks about how he wants to play
with you know, I thought Frank Gore would still be
in the league when Frank Gore Jr. Got around here
and unfortunately, Man, what a career, right, I mean pretty amazing.
I let's numbers, Like I think some people just say

(01:39:06):
he's just kind of there for just I mean, you're
talking about the running back position playing what was its
sixteen seasons that he played? Dude, here you go, right,
I was just looking at that, right, I can't believe
you said that. I was just looking at that. He
played in two hundred and forty one games, which in

(01:39:26):
the NFL. Right, think about that for a second. He
comes in the league in twenty oh five, right, two
thousand five, he played in fourteen games, sixteen games, fifteen games,
fourteen games, fourteen games, eleven games, sixteen, sixteen, sixteen, sixteen, sixteen.

(01:39:51):
It's unbelievable, a mass sixteen thousand yards four point three
yards per average career yards per attempt career average. Considering
the way he kind of dropped what, yeah, like considering
how he dropped off. And I saw a lot of
teams just kind of use him as like third down back,

(01:40:11):
as a third down back late in his career too,
to still be averaging you know, four point three and
like he that's with some like sub four numbers late
in his career with like Buffalo, but he's still would
just rush. He was just a workhorse back man. He
had how many how many attempts total? I'm just trying
to find, uh, three thousand seven rushing attempts total in

(01:40:34):
his career, thirty seven thirty five? Are you a kid
of me? Exactly? Rageous? Just shy of the Bills, the Dolphins,
the Jets. I mean, I'm with you. That's a great
one to bring up. Is a guy like him in

(01:40:55):
an error we're running backs just you know, full off
the cliff at only nine years old. Here's Frank Gore,
Man God blast, Frank Gore. You know, one syllable words,
Frank Gore right like, and he ran right with Gore.

(01:41:15):
He was aptly named goes Figgy. He was. And it's
remarkable considering how his college career ended. You know, he
had injury issues at Miami. You know, he played with
he played with Willis Gay, he played with Clinton Boord
as he outlasted all those guys coming back from a
couple of devastating knee injuries in college to basically turn
out a Hall of Fame, as you mentioned NFL career.

(01:41:39):
To have that longevity, with that wear and tear, it's
it's pretty amazing. I'm really excited to see what his
son does. And I know he's he's he's playing at
Southern Miss. I think he has draft eligible this year. Um,
he's a running back like his father. But Frank Gore Jr. Also,
I think through two touchdowns he got named like a
quarterback in a week eleven game against Louisian attack. Mm hmm.

(01:42:04):
But yeah, the other story I had in that regard
for future talking about someone who might retire is Aaron Donald.
So I don't know where you stand on this because
I don't know if this is I've seen some people
kind of brush this off as this is just kind
of posturing with Aaron Donald's camp about wanting a new contract.
But I mean, man, I I was, I was covering

(01:42:26):
you know, Megatron in in Detroit when he decided to
hang him up, and I hear everyone talk about, oh, yeah,
he'll be back next year. He'll find a way to
get out from the the Lions contract to go play
the Patriots. Just wait, it will be only be a
year off. He'll be back. I don't know, man, when
you start to when when you're a player and you
start to see the finish line in sight, no matter

(01:42:46):
your age, when you start to doubt it just a
little bit, like I it it, it it creeps up
on you. And I know Cooper Cup was uncertain about
whether Donald will be back for next year as well.
But you know, losing Aaron Donald is would be a
huge blow for the for the Rams. But I don't know,
is he is he? Do you think Donald's dunder is
were going to see him back now? I think he plays?

(01:43:09):
I do, I mean, I think he wants up playing. Yeah,
I could. I could totally see that fake don't you
think he plays. I do. I think he ultimately ends
up playing, but he has posturing for a new contract.
He's no longer the highest paid defensive player in the league,
and I think that's what he yeah, and that's what
he's going for. Um. Now, I think that signing with

(01:43:31):
the was it a Kanye whatever I think it was.
I think that was a marketing deal. I don't know
if that's for his actual and of his contracts, but
even still, um, he wants to be the highest paid
defensive player and he as he expressed, you know, I
don't have to play, I don't need the money. I
want to win, but you gotta take care of business first. Now,
historically under this ownership group, the Rams have pretty much

(01:43:53):
been able to sign whoever they want for however much
they want. But even they, I think have a limit somewhere.
So it's gonna be interesting to see if they actually
meet Aaron at whatever his demand is, or if they
meet somewhere in the middle. But I don't believe that
he's bluffing. And I do believe that if you know,
if if it gets serious enough and he says I
want to raise and they're not gonna give it to him.
I think he was seriously consider hanging him up. Yeah,

(01:44:15):
I don't think he wants to go anywhere else. Sean
McVey did say ed mandatory mini camp for the Rams
this week, that things are trending at their in the
right direction. For whatever that's worth. Yeah, I think i'd
say it's eight twenty that he does play for sure.
That's where i'd sit. I agree with you guys, all right, Uh,
figuring with what's trending alright. Major League Baseball Dodgers pitcher

(01:44:38):
Tyler Anderson extending his scoreless streak to twenties six innings.
He improved his record to seven and oh helped leave
the Dodgers to a six to one victory over the Mets.
Joe must Grove took a no hitter into the eighth inning,
while Manny Machado hit a three run home run as
a Padreis notched a seven nothing victory over Milwaukee. You're
don Alvarez hit a home run for Houston. They beat
the Royals tents at three for their fifth straight win.

(01:45:01):
White Sox have lost six of seven after falling to
the Rays. Byron Buxton three hits and a home run
for the twins. They'd beat Toronto nine to three. Aaron
Judge four hits, including a home run, leading the Yankees
over Detroit. Brandon Crawford his fifth career Grand Slam as
the Giants hammer in Miami, wins for the Diamondbacks, Red
Sox in the Phillies, who fired manager Joe Girardi Friday morning,
they went on to at five home runs and they

(01:45:22):
tend nothing victory over the Angels. Friday nights, Stanley Cup Playoffs,
Rangers beat the Lightning three to two, taking it two
games to nothing lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. It
was a franchise record eighth straight home playoff victory for
New York and just about a half hour from now,
it would be the women's final of the French Open.
Georgia native Coco Golf will take on top seat at
Egan Sea. What tech back to the fellas, All that's us.

(01:45:45):
We are the fellas. So the seat today is getting
through the next you know, nineties, six days until football,
you know, like we'll have our NBA Finals game to
tomorrow and I'll get the big brains take on that
a little bit. And we figured I both talked about
it earlier and you know, we got our baseball stories,

(01:46:07):
little stories that crop up. Let's face it, ninety six
days until what really stirs us football, college football, the NFL,
high school you football, the whole thing, football, football, football.
So the idea is, how do you get to ninety
six days? Wet? Right? Like? You gotta you gotta navigate
this thing. So I got the ghosts and listing some help,

(01:46:30):
and I want to get back to something what we
used to do, and it's the movies, that's right. So
you know, the summertime is also a time you get
a rainy day, you go to the movies. You know what,
because the theaters are back and we saw a Top Gun, right,

(01:46:51):
the a the return of the movies, which I love.
I love cinema, I love story, I love TV and
I love film, and you know, I'm excited the fact
that the Top Gun did so well broke all kinds
of records because it was a signal that people are
going back to the movies. Figgy Yeah. And the fact

(01:47:11):
that they held off on releasing this. This was supposed
to be a release and instead of dropping it on
a streaming platform, they said no, once people are able
to actually get get out and about we want this
to be a movie Blogbuster like it was meant to be,
and to your point, it's been a mega hit. I
was very skeptical, to be honest with you, about a
sequel that's coming out decades after the original. Usually that

(01:47:32):
has a shape up pretty well. Now. I haven't seen
it yet, but to your point, I have yet to
read a reviewer here from a person that says that
it wasn't a good movie. So and some people are
saying great, people say it's fun. Yeah, it is a
sequel to the most Teller. I like a lot. It
is a sequel to an old movie. But I think
at the same time like it's one of those movies
that just basically fuels itself on nostalgia, and that's kind

(01:47:55):
of been a lot of the marketing ploy for a
lot of movies coming out here, like Sbusters has had
like multiple revivals because people want to recapture the eight
The eighties kind of kind of sings eternal a little
bit in this regard. I was kind of curious how
it would do in theaters because I know, like, um,
I know it's on streaming now on Peacock, and I
should probably go see it because I missed in theaters.

(01:48:16):
But the Roger Eggers movie like The Northman, like completely
bombed in theaters, and that was kind of a you know,
theater only release, and they kind of tried to market
it as I mean, not not quite the summer blockbuster,
but it was like, you know, kind of a cinematic
epic and everything too. So I was kind of curious.
I thought I knew it would do well. I didn't
expect it to do this well. I didn't expect to

(01:48:37):
do like, I mean, what it's not quite Marvel numbers,
but it's it's pretty up there big well, they set
the record for now. It was Momorial Day weekend and
it's set the record for the biggest opening weekend, So
you know, I think that's I'm hoping that it signals
a return for all film right, like to go into

(01:48:59):
the theater because listen, I like watching movies at home,
and I'm like, well, I love watching TV at home.
It's series binge watching. But there's something special about going
out to the movies popcorn, you know, watching it on
the big screen in a communal setting. I think it's
pretty cool. Man. I've always loved that. So I got

(01:49:20):
for you guys a list of the summer releases. Now
I want to I'm gonna give you a quick intro
that you tell me if you're in or out alright,
like if you would see it or not, and that
that means you would go to the movies to see it,
all right. So I'm gonna ask all its free you guys.
Let's start off with coming up this Friday, Jurassic World Dominion.

(01:49:46):
The original stars of Jurassic Park returned together in this
trilogy cap or that finds Dino's roaming me Earth freely
and humans trying to preserve a delicate bow. I'll count
my little Anthony as one that we will see it
on Friday night because he's a Dino head figgy. How

(01:50:08):
about you? You in or out? I'm out when it
comes to seeing it in theaters. I'll wait till it
gets on a streaming service, all right, Chris, I'm out.
Jurassic World did nothing for me. They keep pushing Chris Pratt,
and Chris Pratt does nothing for me. Um. I this
this is one of these franchises that feels like it's

(01:50:28):
been shambling along for way too long. Like I thought
it was done after the first two movies and they
just keep me right. All right? How about you, Ricky
all in on the dinosaurs my main moll man, I'm
all in for my kid man. I love it, so
I we split too too, all Jurassic World dominion? All right?

(01:50:52):
How about this one light Year? This is Chris Havings
goes to infinity and beyond in this pix are prequel
of sorts that charts the journey of the real life
Buzz light Year, whose adventures inspired the Toy Story movie.

(01:51:13):
I'll ask you, Figgy, are you in a light Year? Uh?
I am? But again not to have to go out
to the theater and spend money to see it. So
now a right, how about you, Psycho? I need someone
to help me work through the in universe lore of this.
So this is a this is a prequel. There is

(01:51:34):
a real person like the way this is working, I'm
I'm assuming in the Toy Story universe theres there was
a real person. When when did Toy Story take place,
like six or whatever? Like so in the nineties we
had a yeah, your early two thousand's my point being
like that in this universe we had somehow discovered space

(01:51:55):
flight and sending someone out into like the depths of space,
but also that person and then becomes a toy. I
I the logic on this has always been kind of
really weird and tortured. It feels like it's like a toy, right,
that was, you know, but it is the real life
adventures of this fictitious toy. Yeah. I feel like this

(01:52:18):
could have been just an original idea that would be
really cool, but instead had to be shoehorned into Buzz
light Year. I'm you're out? Yeah, yeah, this this one's
not hitting home with me? All right? How about you? Uh,
the Ghost of Football Future, Ricky? I'm out on Buzz

(01:52:39):
You're at all buzz too? All right? How about this one?
Opening Friday June. Elvis? That's right, a bio pic of
Elvis that chronicles is complicated relationship between Elvis. Presley is

(01:53:00):
manager of the colonel who will be played by Commas.
Are you in Figgy on Elvis? The Ultimate Elvis Biopic? No?
I've seen a couple of documentaries on Elvis. I gotta
know if I'm out? How about you, Psycho? I gotta

(01:53:21):
sue reviews, but I'm kind of curious. I think the
last music biopic I saw was Joaquin Phoenix walk the
Line as Johnny Cash and that was like two thousand
and what was that two thousand eight? Actually it was
before that. I was like two thousand five. So I
haven't seen one since since, like way back. But Tom
Hanks it sounds like if I don't know, Like every

(01:55:58):
gave you and then that some of the other ones.
So beginning in July, one of the great kids movies
is uh Minions. The Rise of grou The second film
focused on Despicable Me's goofy pill shaped hedgemen, sees them
working for a young grow with Steve Carrell back, So

(01:56:21):
are you eight on this prequel of Despicable Me? What
do you say? There? Goas Figgy? I do love Despicable Me.
It's a great movie. Uh in theater with a bunch
of kids screaming? Probably not, So I'm await for that
when I hit the Disney Plus or whatever streaming platform

(01:56:42):
it will be on. All right, how about you, Psycho?
I was about to say most of the movies I
go to are like late at night, so I kind
of miss law the audiences. But also I never got
on board with the Despicable Despicable kids think kids, it's
I'm not I'm not here for us, Ricky. I'm with keV. Yeah,

(01:57:07):
I can see that. And you as the Dallas Uh,
the Dallas Elvis fan. That's that's your new that's your
new Moniker. You know that? All right? Uh? Here we go.
He's the next one. July four, Loving Thunder Chris hemswath back.

(01:57:28):
He just wants to retire in pieces Thor, but there's
a new threat. Christian bel As Gore, the god Butcher.
Are you in on Thor? Loving Thunder? July eighth, Figgy
uh is Natalie A Portman in this movie. Yes, I'll

(01:57:50):
ask my own question. She is, so, yeah, I'm gonna
see it. Uh are you go? And I do love
the Marvel movies, so those are the ones that absolutely
will go to the theater to watch. So yes, I
will go see the Thor movie. Okay, you're in on that.
That would be a monster Christian Bale, it's God the God.
But that sounds incredible. Man's yeah, I'm big Christian Bale fan. Uh,

(01:58:11):
so I go. So, I haven't seen a Marvel movie
since the first Doctor Strange Um. And I just talked
with our old friend Bow when the producers around here,
and he said that the last Marvel movie he went
to he had to give his father basically written essay
about everything that's happened in the Marvel cinematic universe. And uh,

(01:58:32):
I I feel like a I I'm not a fan
of the Marvel movies. And also be like, I feel
like I'd have to do all that reading just to
catch up with this movie. So no, I'm not I'm
not in. I'm not in on this one, all right,
how about you? Elvis never jumped on the Marvel train.
I don't. I don't think I'm jumping on it for

(01:58:53):
this one either all Right July where the Crawdads sing.
Drama based on the best selling novel, stars Daisy Edgar
Jones as Kaya, a self raised girl for the marshlands
of North Carolina who becomes the prime suspect in a

(01:59:17):
murky murder case. How does that sound? Fig I think
I'm good. I thought I sold that for you. This
is literally the first I've heard of this movie, to
be honest, same right, you guys, that's no quick, no

(01:59:40):
all right? Elvis, love me a good thriller. I'm in
my may all right? How about this one Friday July?
The movie is called Nope. Jordan's Peel's latest spine tingler
on this looks good sentence on a California a horse
ranch where mysterious forces begin to terrorize the human and

(02:00:05):
animal populations. I love and figure in right, I'm all in.
I saw this trailer during the Super Bowl and before
they even set the name of the movie, there's Nope.
I was like, uh nope. Fox Sports Radio has the
best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all of
our shows at Fox sports Radio dot com and within

It is at nine am in the East, six am
in the west. A happy, happy Saturday, June fourth, to
all across the nation. What a fun day, fun weekends.
Summertime is upon us, and uh, we're having some fun

(02:00:51):
and we're out. I'm trying to figure out how to
get through nineties six days, nine six That is, of course,
today the Bills travel to Los Angeles to play the Rands.
A mere nineties six days away from football, what truly

(02:01:14):
stirs us. But of course we've gotta get through O
t a s that happened. Then we gotta have a
little bit of a respite. That's when the next the
the months the mid June to mid July is the
true vacation for all the NFL types, the coaches, the players,

(02:01:35):
the executive They all disappeared during the month that June
to about July, and then they reconvene, and then it's
training camp and then it's all so we're trying to
figure out a way to get through it. So I
gave you the movies we're doing, the Ghosts of Football.

(02:01:56):
They will reappear momentarily. The summer blockbusters we went through it,
by the way, because figure we did. At the end,
I'm so with you with Nope, man, I can't wait
to see Jordan Peel is fantastic. I love him. I
love him, and I can't wait to see his next piece.

(02:02:17):
And this looks great, brother, it does. His first couple
of films were spectacular, at least in my opinion. Uh
so I was looking forward to this when I said,
when I saw this trailer, I was like, oh, this
is this is must watch. How about this one. I'll
give you guys one more and then I need the
Ghosts of Football Pass. But you're ready. This one's called

(02:02:41):
Bullet Train. We were just talking about Jack all right,
this is great based on a Japanese novel. Okay, how
about Brad Pitt as an assassin looking to retire who's

(02:03:02):
task with a big job on the Bullet Train? Figgy,
are you in or out? I am my only intrigued.
This is the first I've heard of it. I saw
I saw the small glimpse of a preview a minute ago.
So that's why Chris said, we were just talking about it.
I'm intrigued. So as of right now, I'll I'll tentatively say, yes,
I'm in. How about you, Psycho, I'm I'm all in

(02:03:26):
on this one. Just I've I've seen the trailers. I
think I've seen all the stuff, and it just looks
it looks flashy, it looks eye popping. I like Brad
pitt Um. It's as you said, it's based off of
a Japanese novel and everything. It's it. Uh. I think
this is this one speak to you by the way, Yeah, yeah,
Qatariska wrote this like it. This is right up my

(02:03:49):
this is kind of right up my alley. This one,
this one hits always want a bullet train and he
turns out, you know, and he's got it. He's got
one last shot. But it does. It looks real slick,
It's looks cool. You know it's gonna be a go one.
So how about you, Elvis? Are you in on that
five assassins stuck on a train? I'm in yea lovely.

(02:04:15):
You know it's funny the Assassin's man they make a
comeback this summer because in uh August, the man from Toronto,
this is Kevin Hart and what what do you Harilson?
What do you har? Wilson is is an assassin, So yeah,

(02:04:39):
so that's uh in the that's the the Assassin makes
it come back. Anyway, here's part of your big summer movies.
And uh, you know that help us get until until
nineties six days away and we get some football goes
to football past. What do you got for us? I

(02:04:59):
have a game that potentially changed the course of NFL history.
I'm gonna take you to January nine of two thousand
and two, on a cold, blustery day in Boston, Massachusetts,
the Oakland Raiders came in to face a new England
Patriot team that I believe, I don't know if I

(02:05:19):
believe they may have been underdogs going into that game
at home in the snow against the Raiders, who are
coming off of losing the ANC Championship game the previous
year to the Baltimore Ravens. Uh and book. Everybody thought
that the that the Raiders was that was one of
their best chances of possibly winning the Super Bowl. You
had a young quarterback named Tom Brady in his first
playoff game, uh, in the snow against a veteran team.

(02:05:43):
No one knew how we would perform. They had been
shut down pretty much the entire game until the fourth
quarter comeback. Tom Brady runs a touchdown, runs the I touchdown,
a run into the end zone. They get themselves in
position to kick a field goal, making a little bit
closer than all of a sudden final ninety seconds come up.
His former teammate Charles Woodson blitz his off the edge,

(02:06:04):
hits him as he pumped fakes, the ball gets knocked
out of his arms. Greg Beekert hops on it, raiders,
get the ball, take a few knees, go to Pittsburgh
the following week to the a SEC championship game. But yeah,
the instant replay and the tuck rule, which nobody had
ever her ever heard of until that point in time,
rears its ugly head. Patriots get the ball back, drive down,

(02:06:26):
tie the game, drive down, and overtime kicked the game
winning field goal and the rest is history. Uh, if
they don't win that football game their speculation, none of
us really know. Tom Brady potentially goes back to the
bench and Drew bled Cel's the starting quarterback for the Patriots.
Maybe Tom Brady has never heard from again. Maybe he
gets traded somewhere else and has a great career somewhere else.

(02:06:46):
But who knows, But just the fallout of that game
and that one specific moment all through the chorus of
NFL history, and you can say helped springboard the Patriot
dynasty that we saw for the better part of two decades. Wow. Wow,
I mean it's funny that game has been a constant

(02:07:07):
for nearly twenty years on the program with Lincoln right,
and you, you know, lick it as Mr Raider and
then that was the party, right, that was the true
Raider party, and they were gonna win this Super Bowl
that year. That was the belief. And you as the
young Raider, Lad, I know, and I had to torture

(02:07:30):
you that. Uh that was hard, especially like it's one
thing if you know, this unfortunate call, something happens, but
what it's on a call that's never happened before. And
I still say, I know the rule was ridiculous and
the call was right and all that, but I mean
Tom Brady was not throwing the ball to his foot,
So unless it's foot an eligible receiver, then I don't
understand how that's an incomplete pass. But that's neither here

(02:07:51):
nor there. Uh it Uh yeah, it definitely was devastating.
It softened the blow. I guess a little bit and
that they went to the Super Bowl the next year,
and of course they got run off the you know,
by John Gruten and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But you know,
I felt they had that that was their best shot.
That two thousand and one team Pittsburgh was good, but
I thought beat double and yes, the Rams were a
great offense too, but so were the Raiders. So I

(02:08:12):
thought that would have been a really good super Bowl,
just like it turned out to be with the Patriots
and the and the the Rams. So I thought that
was their best shot to be able to win the championship.
And unfortunately it didn't happen. But fortunately for the Patriots,
you know, they got they got twenty years of great
success out of it. It's amazing too, because Brady just
talked about it recently, right and and said, you know,

(02:08:33):
and and talked about it and the fumble and the
whole thing and the what if. And it is true
if you wonder what would have happened to Brady if
if he gets traded, it feels like he gets traded,
That's what it felt. Would have felt like he gets moved,
and you know, if Belichick is not the guy bringing

(02:08:55):
him along does he still have the same great career?
Is the is the great question? Who knows because at
that point, obviously it was just just his second year
in the league, first year as a starter. You know,
they were they threw the ball a lot, they wont
on defense, or ran the ball a lot. Excuse me,
they ran you know, special teams defense. I think Troy
Browner turned upunt for a touchdown in the a f
C Championship game against Pittsburgh. It's all like Tom Brady

(02:09:16):
was lightening it up, and by the way, Drew Bledsoe
came in off the bench and helped him win that
a f C title game after Tom Brady got injured.
So it is my belief, Anthony, I've said this, Yeah,
I think Tom Brady probably ends up getting traded at
that off season and Drew Bledsoe gets reinserted as the
starting quarterback if they don't win that game against the Raiders.
I believe that. Yeah, I'm I'm I'm completely with you.

(02:09:39):
What do you think, Psycho Chris? Yeah, I just fascinating
to think about when he comes just Tom Brady's art,
because I know that I was just reading something else about,
you know what, what he was thinking about in free
agency to it, just there's a lot of different points
of like what if when it comes to where we
could be thinking about him and the team that he

(02:10:00):
faced everything else. Yeah, you know, it's that whole thing.
I still go back to it. I mean the the
it's like the Sliding Doors thing. You know. I was
talking about that movie or that TV show Russian Dolls.
Russian Doll. I don't know if you remember, fag I
brought that up to this week. It's a really good

(02:10:20):
show from Netflix. Whatever deal deals with parallel universes and
time travel that sort off. But the parallel universe thing,
it's fascinating because there's so many It's like that movie
Sliding Doors. There's so many of life's moments that trigger
all these happenings and that everything changes on a dime.

(02:10:40):
And you look at a guy like Brady and how
he gets made. It's either that or he really made
a Faustian deal and sold his soul to the devil.
I swear he did. If there's one person on the
planet that you know sold his soul to the devil,
it's either Brady or maybe or maybe Brad Pitt. It well,

(02:11:02):
Pitt was the Devil? What movie was that? Was that?
Meet Joe Black? It wasn't he wasn't he? Like, wasn't
he the devil for that movie? So I guess, so
what's there for him? But yeah, to have the run
of success that he had in a sport that is
so difficult to win and have six saint success like that,
you know, five six years is one thing, but twenty years,
you know, making it to how many a f C
Championship games and how many Super Bowls? That's just on

(02:11:25):
that will never be done again. I feel very confident
in saying that it's pretty well twisted too, because, like
I think a bunch of other guys have either tried
to have the have the length of a career that
he's had or want to try to have the length,
and it's like, you're you're not gonna be able to
replicate this. You're you're not. You're not. You're not. Like
this whole thing where Tom Brady's gonna keep playing into

(02:11:46):
his mid forties, I don't know if anyone's going to
get even close. Peyton Manning tried, but man, Peyton Manning
had to be hauled the mountaintop, just dragged up there
in the final year. Yeah did. But I mean that's
kind of that's kind of his It's a perfect death ending,

(02:12:07):
like it's almost destined that he should have won, like
he should have won me that. I know he didn't
play well in certain games and but he but he
was that kind of player. It was. It was I
almost looked at it like it was justified, like payback,
like Elwigh almost like alright, so they get it, you know. Yeah.
I guess the thing with with with Peyton Manning is

(02:12:28):
like he played poorly really in the in that Colts
championship that they won. That was one of the poorest
postseasons he ever had, and the defense really carried him.
Uh you know, he had that great year his first
year with Denver and they got run off the field
by Seattle and then as Chris mentioned, you had that
other run where he basically was a caretaker because his
shoulder fell off. Uh So it's at the very least

(02:12:49):
when Alway won his last two he was you know, productive,
he was very good. Peyton Manning was a caretaker, you know,
he was you know handed, that's off the after always
the reason why he also went up to Denver to
begin with a followed the same career arc. Yeah. The
difference with Tom Brady is, you know, there is a
lot of physical limitations that affected you know, Peyton Manning,

(02:13:10):
specifically at the very end where he couldn't throw anymore.
You know. Tom ever since he had that a c
L injury what was that now, two thousand and eight, nine, ten, eleven,
whatever it was, and he missed the entire year, really
hasn't had many devastating injuries, hasn't taken a lot of hits.
Your credit the offensive line, and I think you credit
him for not taking a lot of hits and keeping
himself healthy. Um So if he's healthy and able to

(02:13:31):
still throw the ball and stay upright, yeah the way
that's the way that he's neurotic about his health and
nutrition and working out, I could see him playing until,
you know, for another five years. Why not. I'm with you.
I'm completely with you. Uh, Ghosts of of Chas, ghost
of Football Present, Where you got man? Who? Um? I

(02:13:57):
just closed some of my notes. Uh, well, you know,
we've we've gone we've gone through that. I was gonna say,
we've gone this far without talking about the big spat
of the week, which was Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher
trading words back and forth, and um, I don't know
what a lot of this is over n I L.

(02:14:17):
Nick Saban clearly upset that the that some push back
just because A and M got you know, number one
recruiting class, and Nick Saban kind of was kind of
letting boosters know. I think Nick Saban's comments came off
a little harsh and I know what kind of created
red meat for the entire UH college football community out there.

(02:14:38):
But it was a lot about keeping up with the Joneses.
And now this week we've got Ryan Day approaching you know,
Ohio State boosters and talking about how they need about
what is thirteen million to basically basically to pay payroll
for to to match all the N I L deals
for for their roster. And it's it's basically coming out
a payroll. So whether we like it or not, I

(02:15:00):
feel like the professionalization of college sports is here and
that here. Yeah, yeah, I agree with you. Yeah, this
is you know, this goes back to blue chips in
the program. And you know, except now because I and
I know it's it's it's on board. I guess want
I'm forward, those kids deserve it. I'm sorry. I know

(02:15:21):
people go, ah, this is an education, that's nonsense. Football
sells big big, You're generating huge revenue. Those kids need
to be compensated. Figging. Yeah, I'm with you. And I
don't know if n i L is perfectly set up
right now. There are definitely some loopholes that need to
be fixed. And look, the n C Double A was
drug into this direct kicking and screaming. Uh so this

(02:15:43):
they did not want this, but they was forced upon them.
Uh so. I I do think that they can have
a little bit more regulation with the n i L,
especially when it comes to the transfer portal and how
often guys are able to dive in and out of
that thing. I think it's a little bit untenable at
the moment, uh the of the players unionizing and becoming employees.
I don't know if I see that happening. I think

(02:16:04):
that's a little bit of an extreme, But I do
think there's a way to fortify the n i L
that makes it fair for the players while also making
a little bit more easier to to to to regulate
by the n C Double A. Yer. Look, even if
the let's have been talking, I think it may have
been grant Saty a few a few weeks ago. That's
that they the football situation in college may just go
its own direction and break away from the n c

(02:16:25):
Double A completely and have their own committee, their own commissioner,
And that might be the better way to do it
and have football be its own entity. And I have
to worry about Title nine issues and a bunch of
other issues that get bogged down with dealing with the
n c double A. Well, I think the problem with
Title nine is that's kind of ah, that's a legal thing,
I know, but but it's that's also like a federal
thing that has nothing to do with the n c A.
This is literally like in the United States law Title nine.

(02:16:49):
So they're they're not getting around that note, no way
about it. And it's kind of the thorny side of
most of these universities also being nonprofit if you're unionized,
as if you're actually certified as an employee, that I
don't know if it matters at that point, right right, Well, yeah,
but I mean, like in general, to like you, a
lot of the reason why we keep seeing universities pump
so much money into like new stadiums or workout facilities

(02:17:10):
is that they are nonprofit, but they're still making a
lot of money and they've got to kind of burn
it some way, and you know, maybe that funnels back
into you know, player I will might as well call
them salaries. But at the same time, like, I don't
think I'm with you in that I don't think the
n c A has a future in this, not not
because they don't want to or not because they're they're
bad caretakers, but they've been like detoothed, defanged completely, Like

(02:17:34):
their compliance office is in probably the dozens to handle
the entire n CIA ecosystem, like they don't have enough
people to go around. But at the same time, it
doesn't seem like universities really want to commit to a
self pleasing agency, and it just doesn't feel like Congress
wants to also handle it. At the same time, I
think the problem was, like you know, it's it's not

(02:17:55):
that there's loopholes in the n I L is just
n I L was thrown out there and nobody thought
for two seconds about how it should be structured, how
it should work out, what the ramifications are. It was
just all right, say we say go now, and everyone
started to go and everyone's like, oh wait a minute,
hold on, we didn't think of any rules for this
at all, at all, whatsoever. Yeah, I'm with you. I'm

(02:18:18):
with you guys, all right. Uh, Figgy, great stuff. Ghost
to you. You're gonna make several appearances as a ghost.
You are a fantastic ghost for it. Now back to
the underworld the summer. Thank you. Uh, Kevin Figgers, He's fantastic.
We love our Figgy. All right, we'll come back. The

the Ladies Single final, the French Open, but it's bringing
to mind. I was fortunate enough to go to Paris

(02:20:09):
as part of my honeymoon for Natella Crapes per Day. Yeah,
did you did you go to the Latin Quarter. I'm
not familiar with that part of Paris. Look at you.
See here, here's the thing. You're not only the classic

(02:20:34):
representative of the great sports town that is Philadelphia, but
you're a renaissance man. And I did not know that
you were this knowledgeable about Paris. But now that I
look on the map, we stayed just south of the
Latin Quarter, near the Sorbonne. But wow, look at you
being the renaissance man are Now. I love Europe. I

(02:21:00):
love I love I travel the head so I love
all that stuff, the different cults of Paris is So no,
I said to myself. I'm like, look, you know, this
is the first time you're in Paris, might be the
only time you're ever in Paris. Once you leave, never
have another natela crepe. But now that you're here, go crazy.

(02:21:23):
And that's what I did. And my wife and champagne
because champagne runs like water there. Yes, we did have
champagne once. But yeah, for for me, it was all
about the Natilla crepes. And of course my wife has
been putting up with my crepe ever since. Anyway, it's
that was a pretty good one Ladies singles final at
the French Open in Paris. It's eighteen year old American

bids of at least six innings. Joe must go up
with the Padres had a no hitter going for seven
and two thirds innings before it was broken up. Padres
one at Milwaukee seven and nothing. Speaking of seven oh,

(02:22:47):
Dodgers picture, Tyler Anderson improved his record to seven and
oh and their six one victory over the Mets and
Matt Olson at the Atlanta Braves delivered a two run
single in the top of the tenth inning to give
the defending champions are read a one victory at Colorado.
That's West trending, Anthony, I love it. I love it.
Thank you Ilo, the Parisian world for the day. Better

(02:23:13):
see better see all right, Well, let's get the big
brain on Brad up here, because he knows the Big Brain.
In fact, we were saucing it out the other day
the NBA Finals, and my man is he has one
of the great bets, which was that this series will

(02:23:34):
go to more than five and a half games. I
think was a great bet. Uh And the fact that
the underdog takes game one only helps that Big Brain.
First of all, Anthony didn't mention it Rangers for us
and Kyle Gibson had perfect games for a third and
inning back to back games. I'll come out with and
talked about third of it inning. Yeah, well, you know

(02:24:01):
that's all they can hope for. But yeah, listen, I
gotta tell you that was that game the other night
was really interesting. You know, look, Golden State made their atent.
Did third quarter run. That's what they do, That's what
they've done many times throughout this great stretch and the
Steph Curry era. And look credit to what you know, Boston.

(02:24:23):
I mean that fourth quarter was quite uh showing. I
mean they did they made what seventh straight threes or
something like that. It was it was unbelievable to watch.
Uh you know what you look, it was there was
a great effort of the Celtics and look but I
do expect Golden State, you know, come back here in
Game two. I really do. But that was that was

(02:24:45):
a very impressive performance from a team that the best
player shoots three or seventeen, they're still able to win
the game. You know, you know we're talking about this, um,
you guy. You know, I like Boston for the series.
We talked about that, um for the thing. And one
of the reasons why I like their depth, I got
like Derek White played such an important role, a good

(02:25:06):
ball player. He was a good ball player for the Spurs,
and you know, he comes in and I thought he
was really a difference. The fact that you can go
you know deep was a big deal. And Derrick White
played a hell of a game man someone souther you
didn't even need smart until you know, like half of
the fourth quarter. It's interesting. I mean the reason, and

(02:25:29):
I know we we've spoke about two is that I
again I can't stand the sets on a personal level,
but for betting perspective, which is all I care about,
you know, in this, in this we're talking about, I
have a lot of respect for the things I said.
They never have a bad player in the court. They
all they never had a bad player on the court.
Even Peyton Pritchard, you know, I think is a very

(02:25:51):
solid player, and you know, he's nothing great, but even
he saw him come in and they used him at
the end of the game. He played really quite well.
But this team just you know, whether it's you know,
Grant Williams has had some great moments for this team also,
and whether it's see him Robert Williams, you know, they're
always a smart Brown Orford datum. Seems only there's always

(02:26:11):
a good player on this team at all times. And
their depth is to me something you're right that really
stands out and has helped this team quite a bit
while other teams haven't had that kind of depth. And uh,
it's certainly been you know, give Brad Stevens a lot
of credit, right he came in. I don't know what's
happened if he just didn't want to be in a
coach anymore. I know we got elevated the team president. Uh,

(02:26:32):
but he's the one who traded for dark White. You know,
you got to give him credit for that. He's the
one who traded for alt Orford. Um. You know, in
these were moves that probably quite honestly, Danny Jans wouldn't
have made because that was kind of like not his thing.
He always was star hunting and he would never trade
Nasset to get a player like either of those kind
of two And this team would have had no chance
of being in the NBA Finals if they didn't have

(02:26:53):
both these guys, let alone just one of them. Yeah,
I'm with you, um for I mean what the consummate
pro the whole thing. I mean, you know you got
you gotta just go wow. Uh so game two, you like,
Golden State, how do you see the game script going
for game two? You know, listen, Andy again, this is

(02:27:16):
again where I expect Golden State to come out you know,
all guns a blazing in this kind of situation because
they know, Look, this is not a game. They cannot
fall behind, do nothing. They cannot. It's gonna be too
difficult probably for this team to win four or five
games if they fall behind two zero. I do expect
them to come off with a with a good start,
a good first half. Um. I like, look, this is

(02:27:38):
a game. Look, I just think the line I would
have personally made this line probably one point higher than
it is because of the situation. You know, we talked
about the zig zag. In the NBA, when team wins
game one, usually the other team has a better chance
to win the next game, just to because the human
emotion and stuff soup that. Um and look, we also
saw Anthony in that game, very high scoring game from

(02:28:01):
two really good defensive teams. I'm gonna lean here to
the under as well. Um, I don't expect you know
that the shooting percentage was was really you know, Boston
shot over from three an me. I think they were
twenty of thirty nine or something like that, a phenomenal
percent but I just don't think it's sustainable. I'm gonna

(02:28:23):
lean here to the under. And also again I definitely
need here to the Warriors. I think the Warriors do
win this one by by close to double there just
because of just sink Situationally, they know they need to
win this game. Um and I think talent wise there again,
they certainly match up with the Celtics. I think it's
going to be a game that this is a Golden
State team in my opinion. Yeah, I could totally see that.

(02:28:46):
I like your underplay too, I can see that as well.
So this one, Yeah, a couple of world quickly props
I like, I'm gonna take Steph Curry and all these
nice things I said about with fate. I'm gonna take
him under twenty eight and a half points. Um. I
he's going under this and most of his games, uh

(02:29:08):
six percent of his games basically this year, um, And
I understand he had thirty four last game, but that's
why we're getting extra value average twenty five and a half.
He's averaging twenty six half in the postseason, so now
they're making it twenty eight and a half because of
that dominant first game he had. Again, doesn't mean he
can't do it. He could score fifty to night. I
get it, and I know it's a must win and

(02:29:29):
he's gonna be a lot upon I understand that. Just
still think Golden State can still get this done without
him scoring necessarily twenty nine points. I can see a
team effort doesn't have to be just him and I took.
I've done this that all throughout the playoffs. I'm gonna
keep doing it, um, because the odds have not been
adjusted properly. Chasing Tatum under one of half steals one
and again yesterday, I think I've won this bet. Like

(02:29:52):
almost every you know probably about eighty percent at the
time I've done it. In the postseason, they're making this
steals one and a half. He only have just one
steal a game, even with the extra minutes. It's just
too high. Um, you have to lay about a dollar
seventy and juice. But to me, it's worth it and
a good derivative. Bet here Anthony, Um Steph Curry over
one and a half a sixth in the first quarter.

(02:30:14):
He just bet I've done a bunch of wanted every time.
Steph Curry had only five assists last game, but he
had to in the first quarter because Anthony he usually
plays twelve minutes in the first quarter, folve mints in
the third quarter, and usually six months in the second quarter,
in six or seven in the fourth quarter, so you're
getting double the minutes usually gets in the third and
the second and fourth quarter because he plays that entire

(02:30:35):
first quarter. So they're just a body. The fact the
average is six the bye that by four there's your
one and a half. But it's not that simple because
he's getting much more minutes in the first quarter than
in the other quarters. That's why it's a very strong bet. Brilliant,
absolutely brilliant logic as always, the big brain on brand
with us our betting analyst. Hey, uh, I get to

(02:30:58):
baseball hockey quickly. But we had a we had already
a debate on Week one of the NFL the opener
Bills and Rams and I had to ask you because
we we we were all we're all picking the game.
I love Buffalo in that game. And it sounds crazy

(02:31:18):
that because there's a game's gonna take place in nineties
six days. But I love the Bills in the opener.
I know it's on the road. They're you know, a
slight dog. Curious if you handicap that game at all. Yeah,
I'm gonna I also like Buffalo. I will tell you
this right now. I will be very surprised if Buffalo

(02:31:39):
is not closed a favorite here. Um. I mean by
the team of scheme kicks off, Buffalo will be at
least a one and a half point favorite. I think
that marm will move at least to two and a
half points. Yeah, I agree with you, Buffalo, Rams p
personal Stafford had a major surgery too in the off season.
Who knows what its exact health is going to be.
Just on top of everything, Um, Buffalo right now, definitely

(02:32:00):
my power ratings the best team in the NFL. UM
And again, I think when the kindus game kicks off,
wouldn't even shock me if there are two point favorite. Um,
I do like Buffalo here and I think on the
line will change as we get closer to kick off.
I like it. I like it. Baseball Big Weekend obviously,
Baseball Weekend. Anything, strike your fancy on the baseball card. Yeah,

(02:32:25):
I took Tristan Mackenzie. Who's so I gotta tell you
that I really do like the Cleveland Guardians to win
the division, Anthony or Kendall one odds. Um, Look, this
is a team that you look at. You said that
to me the other day. I made your spot on here.
I love Cleveland. Yeah, they actually right now that they
have a positive plus minus um and Shane Bieber, who

(02:32:49):
would struggle a little bit earlier in the years, now
looking like the old Shane Bieber. Uh there plus twenty
six and run sport versus runs allowed, which is a
very solid way better than the record indicates. Minnesota has
a lot of injuries right now and a lot of
things have not been going. A lot of a lot
of guys on the d l and they're sitting guys,
and right now it's the COVID and food didn't get

(02:33:09):
vaccinated in Toronto on top of it. Um. But just again,
I I think Cleveland and getting you give me Kendall
one odds. I think the White Sox their MINDU Citty
and Anthony fifty eight and a run differential, ton of injuries.
Nothing's gone right for the White Sox. In my honest opinion,
I don't think Cleveland should be higher than for the
one one the division you're giving me kend the one
that's an outstanding wager talking about today card the Tristan

(02:33:33):
Mackenzie minus more intent Towny over Tyler Wells. Uh to
me that that that vice is just too late. UM.
I think I have a team, you know, the far
better picture, uh, and the team that's playing well against
the you know, a very the dead mining and a
call in mediocre UM Baltimore team. Again, I made that
number much closer to a dollar fifty. Um. I thought

(02:33:54):
that was too light. Another game that I did like
was and we we talked ab in Minnesota. Now I
will see this. I did like, uh, Dylan BONDI plus
a dollar fifth to day against those Barrios. I did
like the Twins in that Barrios has just been brutal.
He's not failing to get anyone out. And I just
thought that line was a little bit too high considering

(02:34:15):
his lack of success. Uh. Pablo Lopez pick him against
Slogan Webb. Lopez to me has been him in al
Kantar have maybe been the two best pictures in the
National League. Web has been good. It's not been the
lovely was last year. Again, I made Lopez closer to
a dollar thirty favorite. You can get him in a pick.
I like that. Uh. And Kyle Freeland of the Rockies

(02:34:39):
going against Atlanta and their picture Spencers Schreider, who is
a you know, not a guy who was a ton
of a ton of a track record here, I took
him plus a dollar forty five. To me, the Rockies
at home always a tougher, you know game for the
the you know, the road team because the Rockies at home,
I always feel like that the plus I'm sorry, the

(02:35:00):
plus a dollar fifty five. Now. Um, I like Freeland
in that spot. I think that game is much closer
to because it's in Colorado. Um. Again, I think all
the neutralizes any pitching edges that one team has usually uh,
And I think that'll be a high scoring game that
can go either way. And you want to give me
over three to two odds, I'm gonna I thought that
launch had been closer to maybe a dollar thirty five. Yeah,

(02:35:23):
I agree, Hey real quick, because we gotta we gotta break.
But the NHL you've been all over the Rangers. They're
up to oh in that in the series? Uh, Lance
Tonight Landman, sit up too, Oh what are you thinking? Uh?
In those two series, I'll lean that Colorado, you know,
because I don't give much for home ice. I'll lean
Colorado laying around a dollar Uh. Look, I cannot it's

(02:35:48):
gonna be I always I would normally love the Rangers
here plus a dollar fifty five, but because it's such
an important game for Tampa, I believe it or not,
and I do. Look, I like the Rangers to to
win that series or be right there they've been. And
I thought I was gonna play. I will play the
Rangers of the game for work, for sure, But I
made like Tampy here linger and a half because situationally,

(02:36:11):
if there's one game, I think Camp is going to
get it done. To me, this would be the game. Yeah,
I agree with you, getting big, getting getting plus a
dollar sixty. I like it all. I brought it great stuff.

(02:37:03):
How do you feel a ghost of football present? I
feel pretty good? What can I say? Did it help
you scratch the itch? I feel like I feel like
everyone's sill in the basketball mode. Talking some stuff is
uh good? Storylines at a camp and everything else always good. Yeah,

(02:37:25):
I'll be honest with you. The itch I got, I
got hives, I got Well you want to talk about two?
It's yes, I would like to talk about and uh
to a go and get. Taking an umbrage at the
lack of arm strength, he says, what are you talking about? Man?

(02:37:47):
I got armstag arm. He's got all the army needs.
He says, do you agree, ghost, Hey, this is a
rough spot for him because like, man, that my like,
no no mat here. He he's got to find ways
to stay up right this year, right, Like that Miami
offensive line last year was not doing him any favors whatsoever.

(02:38:09):
And I know he's got Tyreek Hill and that kind
of got announced the world with a social media video
that showed him underthrowing Tyree Hill. I he's he's taken
a lot of I don't know how you feel about this, man,
but I feel like there's certain players where I don't
think our opinion on them is ever going to change.
Like we've we've said so much about two that he

(02:38:30):
would just have to ball out of this world to
change the opinion trajectory of what he is and where
he's going to be. Right, Like, I just don't feel
like unless he like plays at a Pro Bowl level,
is our is our opinion of to what going to
change at all? Or we're gonna keep finding more faults
in in what he is as a quarterback. That's a

(02:38:52):
good point, man, That's a real good point. Like I
don't I don't know, I don't know like what he
is really I I still have to. I he could
be a serviceable quarterback for them, but he's he's been
plagued with a lot of injury. I don't like the
injury prone label for a lot of guys. But it
just feels like he's just got to play at an
unnatural level, hitherto unseen or else we're going to just

(02:39:14):
immediately be back here talking about Hey, you know who
who's the quarterback in Miami? Once to has done. I mean,
when you got those weapons and you got those expectations,
it's difficult, right, It's difficult for him, you know, because
you can't separate, like you know, listen, it goes back
like the same thing and hurt with hurts and Philly.

(02:39:37):
When you got the weapons he has, you know, like
there's no shoes, is right, Like you gotta be able
to to go down the field, and you've gotta be
able to throw, Like you gotta be able to throw
it and throw it and and win without just your
legs and exposing yourself. I mean, that's great to have.
And I'm not saying you don't use it, but you've

(02:39:58):
got to use your arm. Man. Yeah, And that's a
lot of what the are empower things about right. I
think he's he he has the tools, he has the
he certainly does just he's got to get a chance
to use it. Yeah, it's gonna be interesting, it's it's
it's gonna be fun. All right. That's gonna do it
for us. We're out listen everybody. Always a pleasure, right.

(02:40:22):
We love you, We love hanging out. Have a great
week and be careful. Thanks, We love you. See you
