Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now here's a highlight from Coast to Coast AM on iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
And welcome back to Coast to Coast George nor You
with Jim Carroll, our mentalist. Jim's website linked up at
Coast Tocoast dam dot com. He's got a few books
out there, including Beyond Emotional Intelligence, Psychic mad Man Mind
Games as well. Jim, let's get back to these techniques
you use to kind of sharpen up the brain though.
That fascinates me.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Yeah, you know, I'll tell you one of the good one,
one of the best ones I believe is that people
could do quickly. That that that just for me talking
about it without like taking a course, Like if you
could be you could be driving a car or truck,
all right, and all you do is if you convert
letters to numbers, Believe it or not, that is one

(00:50):
of the best things you could do for focus. My
focus is as sharp as can be from doing that
exercise alone. Let me explain what I'm talking about, Like
you have the alpha bet A, B C D. A
is one first letter B, his two second letter C
is three third letter. But what we're gonna do is
maintaining a single digit count that when we get to J,

(01:14):
instead of thinking of jay as the tenth letter, we
would drop off the one and just think of the
zero in ten. And same with K. K is the
eleventh letter the alphabet, so it would just be a one.
L would be a two, and it's so on and
so on that when you get the T, it would
do the same thing. George, instead of twenty, it would

(01:35):
be a zero. He would be a zero, So now
that be instead. It will take a while to learn this,
but my my eight year old grandson does it so
fast that I could. I could say, hey, what number
is W? He goes three. I mean, that's how Once
you get it that quick, you're ready to go and
do this exercise. Now here's how it's done. Say I say,

(01:57):
say you're driving down the street and you see a
side while I no longer see stop, I see numbers.
I see nine, zero, five, six, the nine for the S,
zero for the T, to five for the O and
a six for the P. It sounds weird, but it
is so amazing, and you can do it. A lot

(02:19):
of people say I don't have the time to do this.
I don't have the time to that, But you could
do anytime. You can do it while you're driving, while
you're in the passenger seat, while you're flying. Like your
name George, George would be seven five five eight seven five,
you know, just just from the letter of my name,
Jim zero ninety three. And that's what I do. I

(02:40):
just convert letters to numbers. And it's a good way
to maintain your focus. It's really good for you. Something
as simple as fat George, and it's just really really great.
Like I could look at any word, like like nori
n O r y that's four five five eight five see,
And that's how fast everybody will be come and they
practice that. That is, in my opinion, the best thing

(03:04):
you can do for focus. And focus is the key
to developing a super memory. And when I say super memory,
the brain stuff that I'm doing, it not only helps
the injured brain, it helps an average or above average
brain become superhuman. This is amazing, this stuff. I mean,
I'm in my seventies and my brain is as sharp

(03:26):
as to be my whole body, my whole body, we
catch up with my brain. God, this is crazy and
another that, but it builds, it built, it boosts your morale,
your self esteem when you. When you improve your focus
in your memory, it helps your executive function. A lot
of corporate people need that. And enhancing your memory the

(03:46):
main thing, George. It gives you a sense of accomplishment purpose,
all right, and a lot of people need that right now.
A lot of people down and sad, and you know
what I mean. And that's what this does. This brain
exercises the best thing you can do. And that's why
what I'm doing in the next couple of weeks, I'm
going to be launching apps and everything else and I'm

(04:07):
going to help people all over and that's why we
started that foundation and a smart foundation. I want to
help people through prove their life. You know, like I said,
this is crazy how easy it is to do it.
I never knew this. I should have if I would
have been doing And let me tell you something it
worked for. I don't care if you're eight or ninety eight,

(04:27):
I don't care what you do for a living. I mean,
there's basically no demographic boundaries that everybody could benefit from this.
And like I said, even something as dumb as the
zip codes, everybody goes well once they could have alone
in a zip code. I have a cell phone, I
could just look the zip code up. Yeah, but you're
exercising your brain by trying to learn this, and you're

(04:49):
educating yourself, Like whoever knew that one six four six
is the zip code from Mars? And I'm not talking
of the planet. I'm talking Mars. It's Obaya. But that's
pretty cool to know stuff like that. Or our two
A six five seven is a new Land, North Carolina.
If you have any listeners down there, I don't even

(05:10):
know if they know this. There's zip code two A
six five seven is the only Fibonaci prime number in
zip codes. I mean, there's so many, so much. How
about this much? George one two nine three nine Gabriels,
New York. Guess what if you get a PEPSI shirt
pe p s I and look in the mirror enough,
the letters will appear backwards and it'll say one two

(05:32):
nine three nine. I don't know if there's any coincidents there.
So that's the cool thing about this, You know, you
make it fun. I'm making everything fun to do, and
that's the key. You gotta make it fun because people
know you got to you gotta work out, you gotta
do this, and you gotta do that. But like the
trick is to get down the basement and work out.
Just like the trick to the doing this stuff is

(05:54):
you got to do it, and I make it fun
to do and interesting and that's the key, I think.
But but yeah, and getting back to the powers of
the mind, you know, like we know, the manifestation thing
is it just blows my mind. But the power of belief,
all right, that's one of the secret powers that every

(06:15):
listener out here. It is so important, the power of belief.
Everybody has that, all right, And it's a superpower. It's
your brain superpower. And once you learn how to do it,
it unleashes your brain's powers that you didn't even know
you had. It allows you to experience things that are like,
way beyond your normal capabilities. But you got to truly believe,

(06:39):
and that belief got a seep into every milk and
cranny of your being, every neuron cell of your mind
and your heart. And if you truly believe, without any doubts,
you'll be able to unleash that extraordinary power of your
mind enable you to do whatever you want to do. George,
I still bend the sixty penny nails on my bare hand.

(07:00):
I'm seventy one. How is that even possible? The power
of belief. I believe that I could do it, Therefore
I do it. So this is what I got involved with,
and that's why I got involved with Fight with this
foundation and a Signal Relief and stuff like that. It's
really cool because that pain control thing is so important
with the power of the mind, all right, because like

(07:21):
when I do the bear trap and everything else, I
was always into this pain control and so yeah, that's
what I'm I'm telling you. This is amazing. I mean,
I like a little kid. The energy is well here
it is on the East coast ten or two in
the morning, and I have more energy flowing through my
body right now. I could go over to the other
side of the basement here and lift weights. That's what

(07:42):
it does. I don't know why. It just farnaces this
energy all around you. That's the fringe benefit of all
of this, right brain exercise. I call it cognitive fitness,
and I call my workshops cognental intelligence. But yeah, this
is great, George, It really is. And every senior should
be doing this every but every person should be doing

(08:05):
it because it's like I said, it's not only good
for the injured brain, it's good for the average brain
to become superhuman. I mean my grandson, my grandson, he's
like he just turned nine and he's doing like eighth
and ninth grade math and he's nine years old.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Yeah, Now, what are people doing wrong, Jim when they
meet somebody and they forget who they were? Like right away?

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Oh, you consists of all about focus shorts. Like I
said before, focus is the key to develop. Let me explain.
Like I'm down. I'm down in what was in Disney World,
all right, and I'm with the guy who's who's a
famous memory expert, and I'm supposed to be a good
memory guy as well, but I don't really call myself
an expert. And we're down at Universal Studio and here

(08:53):
we go in there and we're gonna grab something to eat.
So I'm on the phone talking to my wife. I'm like,
oh my god, I can't believe we're back down to
your Universal. It's been a while since we had the
kids down here. And he's talking to his girlfriend. The
guy's older than me and he has a girlfriend. So
we go in the universe and we grab something to eat,
all right, and then we took a little walk around

(09:15):
and we come out and neither one of us knew
where where the car was parked. Here we are arguing
with each other, the two so called memory experts. All right,
you were driving, you should know where you parked. Well,
you're the memory guy. I'm about you know what it
was had to do a memory, had to do a focus.
We were a boat on the phone when we parked

(09:35):
the car. And that's the that's the key with all
of this. A lot of people don't maintain that focus.
And like I said, and they missed. They misunderstand that
for losing their memory. That's not a problem there if
that's that's the only issue you have. But I have
so many ladies that come up to me. Sally and

(09:55):
me went to the mall and and we were on
the phone and parked the car. We forgot where we've parked.
The part so many people, the people that are seniors,
forget where they park. And it's not because they're forgetting,
it's because they're they're finds all over the place. Especially
people like that are busy. It's so hard that maintain
that focus. And uh, but that's that's what that most

(10:18):
of it is hopefully a mistake and it has has
to do with focus, and it's not a neurological disorder.
We don't want to get any of those.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Oh that's true. That's and that's a possibility, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
Yeah, yeah, so it's a but yet that that that
power of the mind is so important. And another thing
I don't know about time to tell you this, but
like that, like the manifestation. You can't see this Tommy
good yet he sees me on zoom. One day. I'm
gonna have to do some stuff on Zoom for your website.
But this course that I have, you have to memorize

(10:52):
these celebrity names and then we turn them into movies.
I call it my mental matrix chortle. That's how I
teach people in my cogumenty intelligence programs. I teached him
these names like when I first did my exercise bike
and when I had that heart problem and I was
like riding my bike. To memorize the cards. To make
it easier, I would memorize fifty two celebrities and I

(11:15):
gave each one a card, like Arnold Schwarzenegger. What card
would you give Arnold Arnold Schwarzenegger, Asu Spade all right,
Johnny Chan, Jackie Chan, jack A Clok, and I made
it really easy to memorize these names, and then I
would associate them with the cards. And then when I
started doing other stuff like chemical elements on the periodic table,

(11:38):
I had to learn more than fifty two, so I
took it up to one hundred. He leave it or not, George,
As of today. I started doing this in my fifties.
I had a list of one hundred celebrities from one
to one hundred. As of today, I met ninety three
of them. What the heck is that? If that's not manifestation,
I don't know what it is. A steel worker knowing

(12:00):
all these celebrities, knowing all these athletes, meeting all these
man it's a manifestation, that's what. That's what the fringe
benefit is of exercising your brain. This cognitive business is
so important. I can't stress it. This brain exercise is
so important. Anybody, at any time, just go to my site,
email me. I will help you with this. This is

(12:21):
like I just want to spread the word one person
at a timeover happens because I know I don't work
for me, and it'll work for everybody. This stuff is amazing.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Are you still producting sporting events?

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Yeah? Eat Yeah, Well that all started with the two
through two prediction back back in the day when I
had that dream of a daily number and it came up,
and then I think I did it on your show
What do we do the Final four? To one year,
I predicted the final four. Well, yeah, I'm pretty accurate again,
and in fact my prediction this year. See what happens

(12:55):
is that making sporting predictions is like politics, you know.
I mean I try to be a political I don't.
I don't get involved because it's the same thing with
sporty bread. Like if I tell everybody, hey, Detroit is
going to be in the super Bowl for the first
time ever and they're gonna play Kansas City. Now I
got everybody in Philadelphia hate me because I picked Detroit

(13:17):
over Philly, you know. So it's like really tough. That's
the only thing about doing the sporting predictions. I love
doing it. But then if people get mad at you, like,
what do you mean Detroit's not going to be at
the Egos. There's no way they barely beat Green Bay
that I are They're going to beat the Eagles. So
that's the only problem with the sporting prediction. But I'm
very accurate. Uh last year I was sixty six and

(13:38):
six with my predictions.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Between how you.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
I don't know. That's what I'm saying. This is the
fridge benefit of pushing your brain towards limits. It opens
up all of these superpowers and your brain, you know,
between between the intuition the manage. Well, the prediction has
to do it intuition. It has to do it intuition.
And I do study the sport a little bit, but
I don't bet. I'm not a gambler or anything like that.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
I mean, you don't have a do You don't have
a technique or anything?

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Do you?

Speaker 3 (14:08):
No, It's just it's just cost to it. It's just
I don't know what it is, George. I don't have
the answer to a lot of this stuff. That's what's
weird about it. I just I don't know how I'm
doing half the stuff I do. A lot of a
lot of people say I shouldn't say that, but I don't.
I'm very honest about it. I don't know how this
is working. It's really cool though, it's really just like

(14:29):
just like when I do that, like this patch, I
have on my back. I don't even know how it
works that I'm wearing it. I don't know how happy
this stuff works, but I just go with it. It's
like really cool. But uh yeah, but the brain superpower, manifestation,
intuition and believing, that's the fringe benefit of cognitive fitness

(14:49):
of braining. And you know, people, a lot of people
they don't have two hours in the morning like I do.
You know, I, hey, ten minutes. If you've got ten
minutes a day, I'll make you into a superstar. It's like,
it's all it takes ten minutes a day.
