Speaker 4 (00:47):
Hi.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
I'm Sandra Champlain. For over twenty five years, I've been
on a journey to prove the existence of life after death.
On each episode, we'll discuss the reasons we now know
that our loved ones have survived physical debt and so
will we Welcome to Shades of the Afterlife. On our
(01:09):
episode today, we'll hear two incredible and very different near
death experiences. First, the story of a teenager who drowns
in a cold lake and is connected with the light
of all creation. And then a woman who was greeted
by her great grandmother shown the Hall of Records, and
so much more. Plus at the end you'll discover how
(01:30):
one man keeps his communication alive with his wife across
the veil using his phone and his computer. Here's our
first story. Meet Andy.
Speaker 5 (01:42):
Hi, I'm Andy Petro. It was nineteen fifty five, two
days before graduation from high school, and our class decided
to take a picnic out in a nearby lake. So
water was cold because this was in Michigan and the
water doesn't warm up very much there. So we had
lunch and playing some games in things, and then all
of a sudden I could see some of my friends
(02:03):
on a floating raft out about fifty hundred yards away,
and they were waving at me to some output and
meet them. I really didn't want to get in the
water because the water is too cold, so I did
a running dive into the water, and it really was cold.
And now I'm swimming out to the platform and I
get about halfway there, I start getting cramps in the
(02:23):
lower part of my aptomen and now I can't kick.
I'm starting to splash around and I'm choking and now
I'm underwater, starting to panic. And then all of a sudden,
I pop up again above the water and my head
is above the water, and I'm looking around. What can
I see? And I can see the guys on the platform.
I can't yell because there's water in my throat and mouth,
(02:45):
and so I'm waving and they're waving back at me,
so they must think we're playing some kind of game.
And then I go down again and I never come up.
It is so cold, I'm shivery, and as I go
down deeper and deeper, it starts to get darker. Now,
all of a sudden, I feel weeds out of my
feet and I'm slading into the weeds. And then all
of a sudden I hit bottom and now, oh man,
(03:07):
I start to feel better because I think I can
push myself out of the sitting position and get to
the top of the lake again. And when I push
my arms down again, now it's worse than being sitting there,
because now I'm stuck. And at this moment, everything is
screaming in my body. I'm dying. I finally admit that
I'm dying, and then all of a sudden there's a
(03:29):
voice in my head and it's a voice that I remember,
but I don't know who it is. And the voice says, Andy,
you need to stop it and rest for a while.
I'm talking to myself in my head and I'm saying,
are you crazy? I gotta get up. I need at
least one breath of air. That's all I ask, is
one breath of air. And the voice says to right, Andy,
(03:49):
you really need to rest, so just relax and let go.
And I said I can't do that, and the voice
says again, you need to let go. And so I
say to the voice, do you promise that if I
let go, I'll be able to get to the top.
And the voice says to me, if you let go,
everything will be fine. I said, okay, you promised, and
(04:11):
the voice says, yes, I promise. So then I said, okay,
I'll let go, And the moment that the word go
formed in my mind, I popped out of my body
in what I call a moment of no time. At
one point, I'm in my body and at the next point,
I mean this tunnel. I don't remember going to the tunnel.
It was just now I'm in my body. Now I'm
(04:33):
in the tunnel, and in the tunnel, I'm warm, I'm happy,
I can breathe again. I'm just filled with the joy
and unconditional love. It was so stark. It was such
a change from complete terror to complete ultimate ecstasy in
a minute of no time. I'm just so completely happy.
(04:56):
I look down and I can see a body. I'm saying,
I can see that because it was dark down there,
and I look it. Yep, that's my body. And I
didn't care at the moment that I saw my body
at the bottom of the lake. I didn't care about
my life. I didn't care about being on earthed because
I knew I was home. Then I turned into the
other direction, and now I'm looking at a spot of
(05:19):
light and the light is not very big, but it
is so bright it should be burning my retinas. And
I said, wow, now that's upright light. But it doesn't hurt.
And now I feel myself being drawn like a giant magnet,
pulling me through the tunnel, and I'm starting to get
closer to the light. Then all of a suddenly, in
a moment of no time, I'm no longer in the tunnel.
(05:41):
Now I'm in the middle of a giant sphere about
the size of a soccer colisseum huge, and I'm covering
in the middle of this wall, in the inside of
the ball, and around it all three hundred and sixty
degrees everywhere I look our little motion pictures screens of
all of my lives and of all of the things
(06:03):
that I'm doing. And the light is next to me.
I don't see it, but I feel it and I
know it's there, and the light and I start to
communicate about all of these events in all of my lives,
and I could see them all. I understood everything, and
when I would focus on any one particular screen, I
(06:23):
would relive it. Only now as I'm reliving it, I'm
reliving it knowing the feelings, at the effect that I
have on the people that I'm communicating with in that scene.
So if I'm with my family and talking to them
about something, I know what they're thinking as I'm talking.
Because nothing's hidden, nothing is unknown, everything is transparent. It
(06:47):
seemed like I was there for months, but obviously in
earth time, I was only drowned for somewhere between ten
and fifteen minutes. Otherwise I would be here saying this
and then as I'm looking at these things, finally, in
another moment of no time, now I'm not in a spher,
I'm back in the tunnel. And now I'm really close
to the light and I'm standing there and the light says, Andy,
(07:11):
I love you. I'm in preis because it knows my name.
And then the light says Andy, we love you. And
when the light says we love you, the whole background
and the light kind of disappear. And now there are
thousands and millions and trillions of other lights just like bait.
(07:34):
And they say in one chorus, welcome home, Andy. And
at that point in time, I was absorbed into the light.
I became the light. I wasn't greater than the light.
I wasn't less than the light. I was a piece,
a holographic piece of the light. And it's the most
(07:55):
fantastic feeling that as a human I could ever imagine.
It's indescribable. And at that moment I knew everything. There
was nothing I did not know. There's no reason you
need to ask questions because I knew it all. And
now I'm with the light, and the light is really funny.
The light has a fantastic sense of humor. When we
(08:17):
were looking at my life review and the big sphere
the light, we would say, and look, how upset you
got over there, you know, in the longer, and it
doesn't mean anything. Why don't you loosen up, Why don't
you lighten up? Why don't you have more fun while
you're on the planet. You're only going to be there
for a little while, because it's not real. Personal life
is not real. It's like a play. It's like a movie.
(08:39):
There's eight million actors on the planet and they're all
playing a role. They come with different customs, different religions,
different races, different sex, different all of these things. But
once the costumes are gone and taking off, when the
play is over and you're back in the light, the
cost of comes off, and what do you know. We're
(09:02):
all one. We are all the same, We're made out
of the same stuff. There is no difference between me
and you. There is no difference between you and anybody
else there is here. We're dressed in costumes to be different,
to experience things that you can experience in the life.
(09:22):
You can't experience something that you already know. I can
experience talking for the first time because I've been talking
all my life. But when I first started to talk,
when I said my first couple of words, that was
really exciting to me. When I'm into light and knowing things,
it's different than experiencing them. So in order to experience
(09:45):
I lower my vibrations, because everyone has their own unique vibration,
that's what makes you be different. Lower my vibrations so
that I can incarnate and be born on planet like
Earth and now live a life doing things and experiencing
things that I would like to experience. And when I
experience you, you experience them. Everybody experience them. It's contributed
(10:07):
to the whole. There is only one one, and everything
that exists, that ever exists, that willagis is in that oneness.
So that whole process of being in the light was
just incredible, and it seemed like I had been there
for years, maybe hundreds of years. But in the light,
since there is no time, there is no hierarchy, but
(10:28):
there is no judgment, there is no separation, all one,
not in a dull, boring way, but in the happy, exciting,
ever evolving, ever new experiences in the light. And then
all of a sudden, the Light says to me, Andy,
(10:48):
you have to go back. That's oh, you got the
wrong guy. I'm not going back, and the light says
the second time, Andy, you're going back. There's no for
me to go back to that planet.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
I'm home.
Speaker 5 (11:03):
And when I heard the word back, the k in back,
I felt myself being stuffed back into my body, the
most horrible feeling that I can ever imagine, just as
the most exhilarating experience I could ever imagine was when
I left my body and went back into the light.
(11:23):
The most horrible one that I've experienced was going back
into my body. So as I'm hearing all this and
I'm laying on the sand, but I'm on my stomach
and my head's turned it in there pushing on my
lungs to get the water out of my lungs. This
is back before CPR, this is back in the fifties,
and I'm coughing the water out. By the way, I
(11:44):
never lost consciousness. This is a complete stream from the
moment that I left my body at the bottom of
the lake until the moment that I got back into
my body on the sand at the Lake Durnault blank spots,
and then when they found the body, and I don't
know who found it, and I didn't care because I
(12:04):
didn't care about my body. All I cared about was
being in the light. And so when I got up
there said, oh, and the boy, tell us what happened?
Tell us what did it feel like to drown? And
I said, I can't remember saying, I said, my first
big lie. I said, I remember nothing, and that was
not true. The vivid details that I'm talking about right
(12:27):
now happened almost seventy years ago. And as I'm talking
to them right now, I have the same feelings that
I had in nineteen fifty five. At the bottom of
the lake, I reliveded thousands and thousands of times. There
is no separation, there is no hierarchy. We are all one.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Andy can remember his story as clear as day, even
though it was seventy years ago. That is a byproduct
of a near death experience. When we get back from
the break, we'll hear a different story, but one that
impacted its experiencer in a very deep way. We'll be
right back. You're listening to Shades of the Afterlife on
(13:08):
the iHeartRadio and Coast to Coast am Paranormal Podcast Network.
(13:31):
Welcome back to Shades of the Afterlife. I'm Sander Champlain.
Before the break, we heard the incredible story of Andy Petro, who,
in nineteen fifty five drowned at the bottom of a
cold lake just two days before his high school graduation.
When he decided to listen to the voice and simply
let go, He did, popping out of his body, leaving
(13:53):
the terror behind for a state of absolute joy and
unconditional love. His journey took him to a place beyond
our comprehension, a giant sphere where he experienced his own
life review. It played out on thousands of screens, he said,
but he wasn't just rewatching a movie. He relived every moment,
(14:13):
and this time felt the true impact of his actions,
experiencing the thoughts and feelings of every single person he
interacted with. He was welcomed home by a chorus of
millions of lights, and absorbed into that light, becoming one
with love and knowledge so total it was beyond words.
And what did he learn? That our life here on
(14:36):
earth is like a play, That our differences, our races,
our religions, they're just all costumes. Underneath it all, we
are all one. He was told to lighten up, have
more fun, and that this life is for experiencing things
that we can only know on the other side. But
(14:57):
after this profound life altering event, and he returned to
his body and told everyone a big lie. He said
he remembered nothing. So why was Andy so afraid of
sharing his near death experience? Well, the term NDE wasn't
coined until nineteen seventy five by doctor Raymond Moody, and
(15:17):
it really isn't until recent times that the world knows
of their existence, and more and more people are open
about sharing. So next, let's hear Heather May's experience.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
I'm at a dinner party with friends who had just
moved to Vancouver. I found it hard to breathe. I
felt a lot of pressure in my chest. I thought, well,
maybe I suddenly got sick. I didn't know what to think,
to be honest with you, it got to be so
bad that I ended up going to their washroom and
I stood in front of the mirror and I said, Heather,
(15:50):
if you do not get help or say you need help,
You're going to die. There was a feeling that came
over me about that, and it was a foreboding feeling,
and so I left the bathroom and I said, I
need an ambulance. Music got turned down and they all
looked at me and they said what I said, I
(16:11):
need an ambulance. I need an ambulance right now. My
fiance at the time said no, no, no, no, I'll
take her to the hospital. I got picked up and
stuffed into the cart. We're on a black highway. Had
no idea where he's trying to take me. That feeling
just grew and grew and grew within me that I
(16:32):
was going to die. It seemed to a point in
time where I surrendered to it. And then all of
a sudden, this darkness came from the back, slower and
slower and slower, and it was a black like you'd
never seen. It was pitch black. But this darkness came
until it was just a small, tiny little hole that
that's all I could see out of. Until that was gone.
(16:55):
Now I'm in pitch blackness. Call it the abyss or
the void, because I don't know what to call it.
But it was so comfortable there, even though it was
pitch black. It was very much like if you're ever
at a lake and you're the only one there and
you're just floading. I didn't hear anything. There was no sounds,
(17:16):
just that sensation of floading, of being completely supported and
very very comfortable. I had absolutely zero fear. There was
no stress. I was more or less intrigued, to be
honest with you, I was intrigued about what is this,
so curious as to how dark this really was that
(17:38):
I had taken my hand and put it in front
of my face to see if I could see my hand,
and I could not, So that's how dark it was. Now,
way off in the distance, I saw this tiny spark
of light. It's the only thing you could see. And
it got bigger and bigger, and it seemed like it
was coming towards me, and I just watched with a
(18:00):
sense of curiosity. There was really nothing else I could do.
Wasn't like I could move and run or anything. I
was suspended. As it's coming closer and closer, and I realized, oh, hey,
wait a minute, that looks like a tunnel. Looked swirling
with different tones of gray and barks of a brighter light.
(18:21):
And so I'm watching this, and now it's closer and closer,
and I'm watching it. It's coming above me, but now
I'm ascending upwards. I have no control over that whatsoever.
But now I'm suddenly in it, and now I'm starting
to get nervous. I have absolutely no idea. I put
my arms and legs out because I thought, well, if
I could touch the side, maybe I could stop myself
(18:43):
from going up. I was trying to control the situation.
I did not want to be out of control with this,
but it expanded on me. I definitely started to freak
out a bit, because that really meant I had absolutely
zero control, zero understanding on what was happening, and I
I could see at the top of the tunnel. I
guess we could call it this extreme bright light, extreme
(19:07):
extreme extreme, And then all of a sudden, I was there.
When I was a child and I had asked my father, well,
what happens when we die? Dad? He said, nothing, we live,
we die. That's it here on the ground, and so
I took that as little kid, at absolute face value.
That's why I didn't know about it. This one time
when I was invited to my cousin's Sunday school, the
(19:29):
teacher asked me if I believed in God, and I
said no, and she was absolutely horrified. So any of
the ways I get into this bright light and I'm
stunned with the brightness of it. It was like a
blue white light, and within that white light are also silvers,
and like there's a lot of depth to that white light.
(19:51):
It's not just a color. Then there were people, And
the best way I can explain the people coming out
of the light were if you've ever been to a
football game and you know those really large lights that
they'll have up there, you take every single one of
those lights and put them ground levels, stacked on top
(20:11):
of each other. And then people coming out of that
a massive group of people. Could have been a hundred
or more big group of people. And I'm really rude,
and I'm telling them to back the f away from me,
keep away from me. Oh wait a minute. There's Nanny,
my great grandmother. Oh there's my great grandfather. There's my
(20:34):
aunt Alice, and my uncle Dick. And like I'm noticing
these people that I knew that pass and I didn't
understand that. I absolutely did not understand that. And I said,
I'd said to myself, where have I You know, I'm forried,
But I mean that's how it was. I was actually
quite rude, and my great grandmother stepped towards me, and
(20:54):
it's always makes tear up. She said, Heather, you have
died and I was like, no, that can't be. She
was the one who told me, because I didn't know.
That stage was when I started to recognize the light,
you know, that incredible light, and it was loving, yes,
(21:17):
beyond what we could imagine, and acceptance and support and
kindness and gentleness. And I had fallen to my knees
at the time, and you think, well, where the heck
am I that there's a floor. I had fallen too
my knees and I was sobbing. Hell, I don't want
(21:38):
to be here. I don't want to be dead. I
didn't even get to live. I didn't even get to
do anything, you know, that was my main thing. I
didn't get to do anything. It was too short. And
then there was another energy, higher form of energy. I
could only differentiate that by a feeling. The frequency vibration
(21:59):
itself was fire. I was told that I was going
to be okay, Yes I have to rite, and that
we immediately went to a life review. But it was
an interesting life review. I wasn't afraid of anything, and
I wasn't afraid of this presence, and that's all I
can explain it as it's a presence, since everything's telepathy.
(22:19):
Even when my grandmother was talking to me, everything is
just immediately in your head, immediately the life review. It's
as if you're so sub wersed in it. It's not
like watching a film. Or it wasn't like that. For me.
It wasn't like watching a movie above me, the signs
below me. I was immersed in my life in all
(22:39):
sense of it, but well beyond the five senses. I
think the most interesting thing about that that I had
found was the understanding on how we affect one another.
We even when we have a thought about somebody, they
pick it up. It's subconscious, but they pick it up
and they'll store it, you know. So if you have
(23:00):
a really harsh thought about somebody, they pick it up
and they bring it into themselves as part of their
understanding of themselves. There was this one gal. We were friends,
but we were always fighting with each other. Was kind
of one of those odd friendships. We were mean to
each other, but when we got along we got a
little you know. There were some things that I had
(23:22):
said to her that she took right into her body
as a truth, as I did as well. And we
always were in an energy exchange between the two of
us as friends. So you never know on how a
little bit of kindness to somebody can change their life.
There were some people that I had absolutely no idea
(23:45):
that they took it on as something that was so
incredible helpful to them that it altered their course. You know,
Like that was huge to me, absolutely huge. I was
in a group home and there was six of us girls.
I would always say to them, you're more than your
(24:05):
body because unfortunately for a lot of girls, they go
with to stripping our things like that to you know,
they don't have much of its foundation. Right this one girl,
out of sitting and talking with and hoping that when
go in that direction, she actually didn't. So that was
amazing to me. So the life review isn't just oh,
(24:27):
these were harsh things that you did. You know, you're
also shown wonderful things. You're showing wonderful connections you had
with people, even animal pets. You know, the exchange that
you have with the world have shown all that. But
what's interesting about it is you really feel exactly how
(24:47):
the other person felt one hundred percent. Is so it's
almost like you're a part of them, but you're not
because we are actually so interlinked energetically, we really are.
And onto my parents and having the understanding that chose
my parents, that was my soul family, and that we
(25:09):
have agreements. They took agreements with me, I took agreements
with them. For incarnation even actually happened, but not everything
is planned out, so we have also free choice.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
Let's pause here for our break and we'll hear more
from Heather when we come back. But it makes you think,
doesn't it, how our actions, our words really do impact
other people. And if we have to review all of
this when we get to the other side, what can
we do now to make that experience a little bit
more pleasant.
Speaker 5 (25:38):
We'll be right back.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
You're listening to Shades of the Afterlife on the iHeartRadio
and Coast to Coast AM Paranormal Podcast Network. Welcome back
(26:06):
to Shades of the Afterlife. I'm Sandra Champlain. Before the break,
we heard the beginning of Heather May's incredible near death experience.
It was a journey that took her from a physical
crisis at a dinner party to the heart of the
spirit world. We heard how she transitioned through a pitch
black but peaceful and comfortable void where she felt completely
(26:27):
supported and had zero fear. She was pulled up a
tunnel of light and greeted by a massive group of
loving souls, including her great grandmother and other deceased relatives
that she recognized. She experienced a profound life review where
she was fully immersed in her life's moments, feeling the
(26:48):
exact emotional impact her thoughts and actions had on other people.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
She learned that.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
We choose our parents before we are born, and that
we may soul agreements with them to help each other grow.
Let's continue as we hear more about Heather's experience and
the karmic agreements that can span lifetimes, her visit to
the Beautiful Crystal City and what she saw in the
(27:16):
Hall of Records where the books of every soul's journey
are kept.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
So I was shown about karma in the sense on
how that works, and that's part of also these agreements.
I was shown other lifetimes that I had had. One
of them was I killed somebody in another lifetime, and
then I'm shown the person we had an agreement. We're
going to reverse roles, not to the point of death,
(27:42):
mind you, but some really traumatic stuff, you know, and
I was going to be the receiver. They were going
to be the doer. And so it did give me
a much better understanding as to why some of the
things had occurred that just seemed out of left field
for me. I learned all about energy and the human
(28:03):
body because this is what I was going to come
back with. So I was shown and lightning speed. It's
like it's just there. All the information is just there,
very very very quickly and flashed in front of you.
And so how the human body works on an energetic level,
what we take in, what we put out, how it
moves within the body, all about the oric field, all
(28:26):
about energy points, and how motions work, and how unprocessed
all motions will affect the physical body. Brains are so
incredibly powerful. We can hinder ourselves or not. We can
make things better within ourselves. What we direct out there
is a frequency, and that frequency we can also invite
(28:49):
a lower level frequency, higher level frequency. How to move energy,
It's almost like using the body as file, a cabed it.
You know, Oh, I'm going to stick this file and
I'm going to put it over here, you know, or
in my lower back, because I don't have the luxury
right now to deal with that, and so we file
it and put it away. I also went to the
(29:09):
Crystal City, which was immensely beautiful. I wasn't there very long.
Somebody came to meet me. I didn't get to see
their face or anything. I didn't. I just knew it
was a body and somebody who really liked me, because
they gave me a great big up. Basically, it's not
my time to be home. So I was like, oh okay,
and then immediately gone from there. We shown the place
(29:32):
of healing for souls who have done their lifetime, and
sometimes lifetimes can be really traumatic, and we go to
a place of healing. There's healing pools, there's healing water,
the oh, and everything's marble. Everything was marble, wait, marble.
It was quite interesting. Actually there was columns. Some souls
(29:52):
can be there quite some time, not that there's time,
that's how we had spanned it. Of course, some could
be there for a very very long time to depending
upon the life experience that they had. And there was
the Hall of records. I called them the Hall of
records because I mean, at that time, that was the
language that I used, and I understand that everybody called
it a castic records. It's fine. The books are as
(30:16):
high up as you could possibly imagine. And I was
shown my book, My book Wow, obviously had a lot
of lifetimes because it was pretty thick. You know, I've
been around quite a bit of times. And then both
when Harry Potter came out, I thought, did they talk
to some people who had NBS and maybe had looked
at their book. I was also shown on a soul level,
(30:39):
not all souls are kind of in the same place.
So if you've got a full vibration on let's say
a level three, well they're not going to be in
the same soul understanding vibration at somebody sitting in a
five or six frequency. It's interesting that kind of like
was with like there's many different levels. There's a place
that you do go. You have mentors where you are
(31:02):
working out your life agreement. There's also a cosmic board.
What would I like in it too? Not quite a
government system, but they're there to talk with you, to
also help you and others, and they're from multi dimensions
and it's hard to wrap one's head around that. I
totally get that, you know, I was surprised as well,
(31:24):
but nothing shocked to me. It's like, oh yeah, oh yeah,
I know all this, Oh yeah, I know this all
from this side, you know, because we when we incarnate,
everything's white clean. Some of them were just your light,
the ball of light that would kind of change colors
from pink to white to maybe very very pale blues.
(31:46):
Others I could actually see their faces really. Some of
them had a white quote. There was one specifically that
it was blue, a blue cloak. When you're there, you
just you know that they're from other galaxies, other dimensions,
and they all come together. They're extremely wise. Some of them,
(32:09):
I guess we would call them like maybe they looked
like eties.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
You know.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
It was a long table and they were all sitting
around it, and that area was illuminated, but anything around
that was black. I know exactly where we were for that.
But there were also time periods being shown modes of travel,
which I haven't really spoken about before. Why at the
time called them Wormholtz. I went through a couple of them.
(32:37):
They were showing them to me. It was flashes of
color and it was extraordinarily fast. I felt it was
kind of a bumpy ride, but I don't know why
I felt that way, but it seemed that way to be.
But it's modes of transportation to get one place to
the other, but not for everybody. Others could just imagine
(32:57):
it in their mind and then they're there. I didn't
know how that worked. Really, Your senses are so highlighted here.
Everything's kind of dimmed down, right, It's more dim you know,
whereas on the that experience like wow, and now I
feel alive. Now I'm alive. What was I doing before?
(33:18):
Obviously I didn't feel like I was living a dream
and so almost like two dimensional in a sense.
Speaker 5 (33:24):
You know.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
I have met a lot of people like my family
was not in to hearing about this. I'll tell you
that right now. They were not supporters of it because
of course that was their belief structure, right, and never
did push it or anything. But it was definitely a
lonely journeying at the time. I don't want to scare anybody.
I was sitting in some kind of chair of some kind.
(33:48):
There were golden balls so much bigger than a basketball,
and I was sinning and it would come in front
of me and it would open up and there would
be a movie in there. It was the start of
mankind in wars murdering each other all through the Earth's history,
(34:09):
and it just kept going. The level of trauma was huge,
absolutely huge death, death, death, lots of fires, and lots
of death from water flooding, what we now call tsunamis.
Even there was lots of protests that we were coming
more into our world today. Definitely saw all the wars,
(34:30):
all the wars. It was just absolutely expruciating to watch
a lot of unrests and our world people desperate to
be heard, desperate to be as much as a priority
as anybody else, and marches lots of anger, lots and
lots and lots of anger. Then it's all kind of
where we are right now. We've got to shed are
(34:52):
beliefs about other people to get through where we need
to go. I'll leave it there. I find it terribly
spat I asked to stop. I couldn't bear anymore to
have the understanding of, unfortunately, what we do to one another.
And it could be over religion, it could be over land,
it could be over anything without the understanding that we're
(35:13):
all here for the same purpose, We're all here as
brothers and sisters. I was not actually going to come back,
and in disbelief that I was dead, that you know,
I didn't have a chance to really start, and I
didn't have a chance to do the things that I
came here to do, and that I wanted to go back,
and I wanted to do the work that I set
(35:35):
out to do. In regards to my life contract, I
was told coming back was going to be far more
difficult than before I died. On a physical, emotional, mental,
psychological level. Was all going to be extraordinarily painful, and
there were things that physically I wasn't going to be
able to heal and I was going to live with
(35:57):
that pain. So I was to be prepared for that.
Then I was asked again, do you want to come back?
Speaker 5 (36:03):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (36:03):
So I do, because I firmly believed that I could
do a lot of work. We're connected to each other.
I think if we could just have that understanding how
connected we are to one another, and let go of
all our false beliefs of one another and really have
that understanding that we are energetically a part of each
(36:24):
other at all times. We're all human, period. Don't have
to have all these divisions and everything that have been created.
I think if my wish could be anything, if we
could just get to that understanding.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
Heather May's near death experience was due to nine massive
blood clots that passed through her heart and lodged in
her lungs. She had just turned twenty eight years old.
Her doctors were shocked that she survived, calling it a
medical miracle. But the true miracle wasn't just her survival,
It's the wisdom she brought back for all of us.
(36:58):
In her life review, she showed how we are all
energetically connected, that even our unspoken thoughts are felt by others,
and a single act of kindness can alter another person's course.
Heather felt that we have soul agreements with other people,
and although personally I don't think everything in our life
happens because of an agreement. I think there is cause
(37:21):
and effect here on earth. But what if some of
our toughest times we could look at from a different perspective?
Would it give us power in our lives? Now? I
think the most inspiring lesson of all from Heather is
that she chose to return. She was warned that coming
back would be extraordinarily painful and that she would live
(37:42):
with physical challenges. That she may never heal from, but
yet she begged to come back to fulfill her purpose
and to share the message that we are all connected.
Her journey teaches us that this life, with all of
its pain and struggle, is a courageous choice and experience
our souls deeply desire. When we come back from the break,
(38:04):
you'll hear a story of how a man connects with
his wife using technology. We'll be right back. You're listening
to Shades of the Afterlife on the iHeartRadio and Coastcast
AM Paranormal Podcast Network. Welcome back to Shades of the Afterlife.
(38:38):
I'm Sandra Champlain. If you'd like to find out more
about Andy and Heather, you can visit Andy's website Andrew
Petro dot com. He's written the book Alive in the Light,
Remembering Eternity, and then also a second book, which is
an integration of prose and poetry called Remember the Light.
(39:01):
You can find out about Heather on her website Heathermay
dot c A and May is spelled mae. Just like
others we've heard of that have had near death experiences,
the after effects make people wish to serve others. So
thank you Andy and Heather for your stories. What I'd
(39:24):
like to do now is share something a little different
with you. This gentleman is not up for a live interview,
but someday, he says, he will be. But this is
a story that has unfolded for me over the past
several months through a series of very heartfelt emails that
I've received from a listener. It's a story of eternal love,
(39:46):
of groundbreaking communication with the spirit world, and the incredible
dedication of a man named Ricky to his beloved wife
in spirit named Ketka. Ricky has given me his blessing
to share with you his story in his journey. He
is still deep in grief after losing his wife of
thirty one years, but he is passionate about sharing his
(40:10):
system that he created with Keteka in the hopes that
it will help others to communicate beyond the veil. His
journey began with a need that so many of us share.
He needed more than faith. He needed to know that
his Keteka was still with him. This led Ricky into
(40:30):
two different, both incredible methods of communication. The first is
a form of EVP or electronic voice phenomena, and, as
Ricky beautifully calls it, ethereal voice phenomena. He was taught
by the wonderful Sherry Pearl how to do EVPs and
(40:51):
uses a combination of two free software programs. The first
is EVP Maker version two zwo point one. The second
is a recording software called Audacity version three point one
point three. He told me you can find instructions simply
(41:12):
by going to YouTube and searching EVP video by Sherry Pearl,
and he spelled her name sh Eeri p erl. If
this is something that interests you and you wish to
try it, you can hear a lot more about EVPs
(41:32):
and some examples back on Shades of the Afterlife episode
seventy one. Back to Ricky. In just over three years,
he has recorded nearly four thousand messages from Kettka. She
speaks to him in her own voice with her same accent,
telling him things like I need you forever and I'm
(41:55):
here with you. She even uses their personal Danish name Bamza,
which means teddy bear, and once she said Jai elskadai,
which means I love you in Danish perfectly, But as
groundbreaking as that is, it's the second method that is
(42:16):
truly incredible. Ricky calls it light orb communication. He sets
up a bulletin board with yes and no cards, writes
a question, and then films the board in a dark room.
He has recorded over one thousand videos of light orbs
(42:36):
moving to confirm the answers. This evolved into a text
pad with flashcards of Keteka's own words, allowing her to
text him new messages. He has compiled what he calls
love letters from ketty albums filled with messages she has
(42:56):
confirmed with light orbs, like our love expands forever and
Love's got more power. The most stunning example is a
video he sent me where he was only thinking about
asking her to circle the card Ohanna Forever, and a
beautiful light orb appeared and did exactly what he asked for,
(43:21):
circling those words, responding to his thought alone. The spiritual
connection between them goes back even further to a sacred
experience Katika had after the loss of their firstborn son, Vincent.
In her own words, she wrote, that night I felt
the door opened and a young man stood next to
(43:45):
my bed. I knew who he was, and I smiled.
It was my son, Vincent, his spirit. A few seconds later,
a woman came into my room I looked closely. It
was my sister. She had died three years ago, and
she had come to take my son home. What a
(44:08):
comfort that was on my heart. What an incredible gift
of peace for a mother's heart. Ricky and Ketteka's journey
is a testament to eternal love. If you are inspired
by their story and want to learn more about these methods, again,
Ricky wants to make sure you have the resources on YouTube.
(44:30):
Just search for EVP video by Sherry Pearl to learn
this audio method. And of course, back on episode seventy one,
we talked to Sherry Pearl and for the light orb communication.
Ricky says, just do the following simple steps. Take a
bulletin board, yes and no cards and perhaps other frequently
(44:53):
used words, and film them with your phone in a
dark room, with an open heart and persistence. The video
replays that Ricky sent me was a single, bright, large
ORB that moved with intelligence over this board. Ricky wrote
and sang a beautiful song to his wife and spirit.
(45:17):
It's short. As a thank you to Ricky. I'd like
to play it now and then when we get back.
I've got a couple of thoughts and ways that we
can be in communication with our own loved ones. Here's Ricky.
Speaker 5 (45:29):
Do you ask me.
Speaker 3 (45:32):
The love everything about you?
Speaker 5 (45:35):
And you know, of course I do.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
I know I was born to.
Speaker 4 (45:44):
Love you always, every minute.
Speaker 1 (45:47):
Of third day.
Speaker 4 (45:49):
I'm forever here today, my love, Katy, my aproom, my
love Katy, by you.
Speaker 3 (46:13):
I love you.
Speaker 5 (46:17):
You knew that.
Speaker 3 (46:20):
I feel the same with you.
Speaker 5 (46:22):
Dude. We're so very.
Speaker 4 (46:24):
Much in love me, just not always every moment where
we God Carol is breaking my heart. My love Katy,
(46:45):
my apel, my love Kenny.
Speaker 5 (46:54):
By.
Speaker 1 (47:02):
Love you.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
Thank you so much, Ricky and Ketdy or Keteka from
across the veil. I know it took a lot of
courage to share that, but you know this will make
a difference for your fellow listeners. How do we keep
connected to our loved ones. We can try technology if
we're technology minded, but it can be as simple as
(47:25):
asking them to draw close. We need to slow down
our mind, be in the present moment. Ask them to
walk close to you. You may feel goosebumps on your
arm or your head, and just stay quiet. You'll get
a slight change in energy. You know. The goosebumps is
how I call it. Also, talk to them spend some
(47:48):
time walking down memory lane in your mind thinking of
shared loving memories you had with them, and ask them
to show you more. And don't be surprised if, out
of the blue, when you're doing something completely else, all
of a sudden, these random flashbacks come into your mind.
Those are little ways that say I love you, and
(48:11):
then I'm still with you. Of course we can ask
them to visit us in dreams. There's a beautiful interview
I had done with doctor Janet Pete Alato sometime last year,
who's a dream expert and psychologist. She calls it the
dream gate. Before we go to bed at night, we
can talk to our loved ones. Of course, we can
ask them to show up in our dreams. How do
(48:33):
we know it's really them, not our imagination. Well, like
a near death experience, you have a dream that you
cannot forget, and that what happens in it is love,
not fear, not random thoughts, but love. Anything else that's
just our subconscious minds. But when we wake up in
the morning, when we're still in that day dreamy type state,
(48:56):
we can create this dream gate, create a beautiful g
eight of some sort or doorway in your mind and
picture your loved one on the other side. Simply open
the gate and begin talking with them. It's that place
between sleep and between awake where it's easier for them
to communicate. I know what you're thinking. How do I
(49:19):
know if it's my imagination, Sandra, or if it's really them. Well,
in the beginning it may be more of your imagination.
But in time, it's like they tell the story, things
start to unfold that you realize you're not creating on
their side of life. This requires some practice too. We
don't just know everything because we cross over. So the
(49:41):
more we can practice this, the more they can practice
from their side. Another good method is called writing or
automatic writing. Get a journal, write out your thoughts, write
to them, and then just say if you were writing
back to me, what would you say, And just whatever
comes to mind. Just write it, don't think about it it,
don't keep rereading it, and in time they'll get practice
(50:03):
delivering their thoughts through your mind and your hand. Of course,
we've got two hundred and some past episodes and you
can hear wonderful stories of all these things and so
much more. Be sure to come visit me at Wee
dootdie dot com. Leave your name and your email address
at the bottom of the screen. There got some gifts
there for you. Join our free Sunday gathering and take
(50:25):
a class if you like. We offer great medium classes
so that you know how your soul receives information and
guess who you practice with your loved ones. In closing,
