(00:34):
your own research and discover the subject matter for yourself.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Yes, ready to be amazed by the wizard of weird.
This is Strange Thing with Warren. I am Joshua wa
Pe Warren, and each week on this show, I'll be
bringing a brand new mind blowing content, news, exercises, and

(01:17):
weird experiments you can do at home, and a lot more.
On this edition of the show, just invented the chakra
spectraphone tepaphone two point zero. Yeah, I've never seen anything

(01:37):
like this before. Let me explain. I am a big
believer in the human chakra and basically what I mean
by that, Well, you know, it's interesting because a lot
of people say that it's obvious the number seven is

(01:58):
kind of a sacred number that's fundamental, that runs all
throughout nature. I mean, for example, there are seven notes
in the music scale do re mi fa, so la ti.
And then you have seven colors and the spectrum the
visible electromagnetic spectrum red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.

(02:21):
A lot of people believe that the Lord made the
world and then rested on the seventh day. Seven is
it's an interesting number for a number of reasons. We
have seven days in our week. I could keep going,
and numerous cultures going back to ancient times, have said
that there are seven distinctive energy spots on the human body,

(02:48):
starting at the crown and then running all the way
down to your lower back. As a matter of fact,
I'm looking at a picture right now, so imagine, Okay,
the crown is one, and then just below it the
third eye, and then the throat, and then the heart,
and then the solar plexus. Then there's a sacrale which

(03:09):
is around your navel, and then there's the root right
down there at your farlow back. And these have always
been represented with a color, and that actually makes sense
to me, because the human body is an electromagnetic machine.

(03:32):
And if you want to know more about this, I mean,
there are some great clinical books about the body's electrical field.
One of them is called The Body Electric It was
published in the nineteen nineties. It's subtitled electro Magnetism and
the Foundation of Life, and it's by Robert Becker, m d.
And Gary Selden, and it breaks down how different parts

(03:55):
of the body resonate at different frequencies. These seven crucial
points on the body called the points of the chakra
and Sanskrit word that means wheel of energy or portal
of energy. And if we have these portals of energy
that are distinctive to different parts of the body, then

(04:17):
it would make sense that if one could see that energy,
then one would actually perceive it as a color, because
you see a color as a color because of its frequency.
If something has a higher frequency, it looks closer to purple.
If it has a lower frequency, it looks purple closer

(04:38):
to red. Kind of in the middle, you have green
and so forth. And I look, you may think I'm nuts,
That's all right, but I was born with a natural
ability to see the human aura. And I think it's
possible that most people can do this. I have trained

(04:59):
over the years, and it's not something that is there
all the time. I can kind of turn it on
and off at will. It's better if you practice it
for a while. But basically I can look at a
person and get into a certain state in which I
can see colors around the person's body. And in fact,
I always say that if you can make a pair

(05:19):
of training glasses that will help you do this with
your with your eyes for next to nothing, for probably
like a dollar or two. And if you sign up
for my free e newsletter at Joshua Pwarren dot com,
then that's one of the goodies you get. I send
you a link with instructions on how you can make
those and train your eyes, and a lot of people
can see the the aura within minutes. You'd be surprised,

(05:45):
So I really am. I'm a big fan of this
idea of the chakras and how that the energy points
of the body that are vibrating at different rates can
be represented by these different colors. And if you want
to get even more specific, okay, red traditionally is the

(06:08):
color that's used to address the root chakra, which applies
to vitality, will power. You would work with that color
to overcome lethargy or stagnation, or orange the sacral, you
would work with that color to enhance things related to

(06:31):
creativity or emotional balance or overall joy, to get inspiration.
Yellow you'd work with that for mental clarity focus. Yeah,
I mean, there's a chart I'm looking at it right
now which breaks down what you could do with these
different colors if you work with them, if you start

(06:53):
learning about the chakra. And I have talked at links
about the chakra on at least two episodes this show,
so I'm not going to spend much more time talking
about that, but if you were interested in this topic,
go back and listen to episode twenty two that was
a long time ago, and that episode is titled three
Minute Monk Secret plus Chakras. And then also I talked

(07:18):
about it in episode one point fifty five and that
episode is called orgon Chakras and the Master Manifestore Kit.
So there is this whole world that can be tapped
into by not only using light, but using colors of light.

(07:43):
And not too long ago, I had doctor Moulder, who
makes the wishing machines on this program. He and I've
been working together for a long, long time, well over
fifteen years on various projects and the wishing machine project
in general, but less than a year ago he created

(08:06):
his version of a machine that is kind of a
mythical machine. We've heard it's been out there, sort of
in the underground among sorcerers and magicians and manifestures, going
back for at least decades, you could even say, all
the way back to the beginning of you know, like
ancient candle magic, but people who would use a machine

(08:29):
called a tepaphone, and it's basically, in my opinion, the
simplest wishing machine ever made. It's a box that has
a switch and a light plate on it and a
special circuit inside, and you take what you want to
manifest you represent it on a piece of paper, for example,
you put it on top of the light, and then

(08:49):
you switch it on, and when the light comes on,
it acts as what they say is a carrier wave,
and it literally carries it's that programmed light carries your
tension off in order to start working on your manifestation.
I talked about this at length on episode episode two
forty one of this this podcast called Strange Things. Episode

(09:13):
two forty one is called what the heck is the
tepaphone and candle magic. And by the way, when I
say tepaphone, it's spelled tepa. That's p as in Papa
t e p A p h o n e. So
go go back and listen if you haven't heard it
two forty one, episode two forty one. So yes, uh,

(09:35):
I call the tepaphone the simplest wishing machine ever made.
Tons of people bought one of Doctor Mulder's tepophones and
started experimenting, and you would not believe the amount of
positive feedback that we've gotten from all over the world.
At some point, I'm just going to sit down and
just start reading them to you. But uh, you know

(10:00):
this thing, it's it's like it's so user friendly, and
it's it's really all you need. It's just that that
basic type of phone. However, however, there have been people
who have been saying for a long time that wouldn't
it be amazing if you could have a tepaphone that

(10:21):
had an adjustable light so that you could literally take
it and make that light any color you want, so
that you could start projecting it and using it with
the chakras and similar things. And this is something that
you would especially be interested in if you wanted to
direct energy to yourself or to someone else to work

(10:47):
with that person's chakra. And you know, when it comes
to how this could be sort of sort of a
how this could help you. Let put it that way. Okay, So,
like I say, let's say red is a low frequency,
purple is a high frequency, and then you have all

(11:10):
these traditional colors associated with each of these seven points. Well,
think about a guitar for a moment. Think about the
strings on a guitar. If just one string on a
guitar is out of tune, the entire chord sounds bad.
So think of your your chakra points like seven strings
on a guitar, and they all need to be in

(11:31):
tune in order for your body's energy to be in
harmony and feel right. So you line these up and
you work on the one that may be out of tune.
And when we come back from this break, I'm going
to bring doctor Molder on to the show, and he's
going to tell you about his new creation. He has
taken this tepaphone to the next level and created one

(11:55):
with an adjustable light. It's called the chakra specrophone. I've
been using it and it is amazing. You will learn
all about it soon. And if you like this show,

(12:37):
That's Joshua P. Warren dot com. I am Joshua pe
Warren and you are listening to Strange Things on the
iHeartRadio and Coast to Coast AM Paranormal Podcast Network, and
I will be right back. Welcome back to Strange Things

(13:35):
on the iHeartRadio and Coast to Coast a M Paranormal
Podcast Network. I'm your host, a wizard of Weird, Joshua P. Warren,
beaming into your wormhole brain from my studio in Sensity,
Las Vegas, Nevada, where every day is golden and every
night of silver. Gietato Zume and of course, the the

(14:00):
original Doctor Moulder's tapaphone is a box that has a
single white light on it, and this new version, which
is designed for more specific types of work, the Chakra spectrophone.
It looks more like a traditional wishing machine. It's got

(14:23):
an input plate and an output plate, but it has
three knobs on it on the front, and you and
one knob says red, and the other says blue, and
the other says green. And as you turn each of
these knobs, you mix these colors, and a bulb under
the output plate changes with enormous nuance, so you can

(14:45):
fine tune to just any color you want, any slight
shade of color that exists in the spectrum. It's so
much fun to play with. And one thing that I
love especially about his devices is that anything he comes
out with that's a new type of device can easily

(15:09):
be incorporated with all of his other creations. I mean,
for example, right now, I have my tepaphone sitting there,
working quietly in the corner on a financial project that
I have in the works, and then I have my
chakra spectrophon set there with the light tune to a

(15:34):
particular chakra on my body that I'm trying to work
on right now, and I could just as easily be
doing this for someone else as well, because you put
what you want on that input plate. But yeah, all
his stuff, it's you can use it all together and
it just keeps building and building and growing and power.

(15:55):
It all works together. And if you want to see
the of this, because I'm about to bring him onto
the show so you can hear how he describes this technology,
go to the tepaphone dot com. That's a tepophone is
spelled t E p A p as in Papa, the

(16:18):
tepaphone dot com. And also if you have trouble with that,
just go to Joshua P. Warren dot com and you'll
find a link to it. In the Curiosity Shop. Go
to the tepophone page, scroll down and you will see
brand new material there. It says the Chakra Spectrophone, and
there is an instructional video there. There's an animated gift

(16:42):
that shows it in action. There's a very valuable chart
that shows the chakras where they line up with the
human body, the purpose of each chakra. I mean, it's
even if you don't want to get one of these things,
it's cool just to go there and look at the information.
But anyway, you get the idea, I think. So now
let's hear directly from him about why he made this,

(17:06):
how he thinks it works, and some examples of what
he's been doing with it, and just how powerful this
thing is. So here we are. Here's my recent call
with the one and only Doctor Mulder. I call the
tepophone the simplest wishing machine ever made. And this is

(17:27):
I think kind of tepophone two point zero. So for
those who may be new to the show, Doctor Mulder,
please explain what a tepophone is in a few sentences.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Oh wow, of course a tepophone. It has a sort
of a legend behind it. Back in the forties and
the fifties, I think there was a lot of rumors
about this being used by magicians, for example, and they
would use an oil lamp with a slide in front
of it and projected towards or target. Well, what they

(18:01):
were doing is they were using light as a carrier
wave as exactly as simple as that, they're using light
as a carrier wave. And as a result of that,
they noticed they were getting great experience, you know, great
results from this, and so there's been a lot of
operations and if you look at the history of radionics
where they are using light or colored light and the operations.

(18:24):
And I've done a lot of research on this and
consulted with some what I consider the best or the
highest achievers when it comes to radionics in this wonderful
little world of radionics. And so and I've had people
and I asked them, I said, of all the machines
I've built for you, what is the best machine or

(18:47):
what is your favorite machine? And the out and two
albums in which I trust their judgment, they said, it's
the telephone. And then I asked them why, And I felt, Okay,
this is the universe telling me, hey, doctor Molder, you
need to up your game one more time. I know
you have OCD, you need something to do, So here
we go. So I went ahead and kind of dust
off the old plans for the tepaphone, which I built

(19:09):
several years prior, and re just you know, re engineered
everything using modern electronics and making it even more ergonomic
than it was back in the old days when I
was building these things. And so as a result of that, I,
you know, I did a little testing of this got
fantastic results from everybody. I even sent you h some

(19:33):
you know, my latest generation of the telephone or one
of my latest generations, sent that to you. You've got
fantastic results, you know. And we've just been doing the
result or the people the feedback we're getting from the
telephone dot com. It's just been fantastic. And so, like
I said earlier, I have O c D. I can't
leave good enough alone. I want to go to that

(19:53):
next level. And also because of that I had, you know,
I did my research and I have an old which
I think you probably saw over in Ashville, and it's
about one hundred and twenty five years old. Now no, yeah, no,
it's one hundred years old. And if you look inside
of it, it has these Christmas lights that goes around

(20:14):
the sample and or it looks like Christmas lights are
multicolored lights. And I said, okay, this I have basically
a telephone or a telephone type technology. And they call
it chromo therapy back in the olden days. And so
what I did was take that along with what I
was doing now and just redevelop everything and go to

(20:34):
the next level, which is what we have now, which
is what we have now with this wonderful color light device.
And I and here's the thing. And I hate to
be be kind of crypto or you know, cryptic here.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
But.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
This thing was designed and used for well being.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Okay, So now you have your newest innovation, a type
of tepaphone that we call the chakra spectrophone. Now what
is that?

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (21:07):
What it is?

Speaker 3 (21:08):
It has three lights, It has red, blue, and green.
And just so happens that these are the same color.
You'll see these colors if you look up close on
a color TV. They are the primary colors. Then when
if they're used in combination, they cover the entire spectrum
of color. I think it's like fourteen million plus different combinations.

(21:30):
And what we're able to do here radiotically or we're
able to take these dials and adjust them for a
particular situation. I did an example in a video that
I did for you about anxiety for example, just to
help with anxiety, nothing more, just a mental well being.

(21:52):
And so what I did was I came up with
a target, I came up with the proper energy signature
that I wanted to project to that target to help
with their anxiety. And all I simply do is put
these two samples on the copper plate, and I would
tune this device as I would any other radios device,

(22:15):
using the clear plastic plate as a stick plate. And
as you turn that down, you will notice that the
light will start to glow. And then you'll go to
the next dial and you will turn it and it
will glow to a certain color. And as these two
mixt you will have different colors. Then you go to
the third one to finish this off. And once you
do this, then you have the final color radioically that

(22:36):
needs to be projected toward that target to help with anxiety.
And so after this is done, you simply take the
thing that represents the target or the person that you're
trying to project this energy toward. You take that, put
that on top of the clear plastic plate, let the
light project onto it, and let it do its job.

(22:58):
And usually this technology, depending on the situation, takes a
few days. But there's ways of showing how to time
this and figure out how long this energy needs to
be projected towards the target.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Okay, and to be clear, now this is not any
kind of a medical device, but this is not advice,
but it does tap into the tradition of focusing on
different chakras of the body in order to increase one's
happiness and wellness. Correctly, Yeah, okay, and you can basically
with just these three knobs, you can create virtually any

(23:35):
color in the world, right, any color that the human
eye can see, right, correct? Correct?

Speaker 3 (23:40):
I mean the combinations are infinite. Well, I think it's
an overstatement, but it's just say, there's more than we
can imagine. And I understand completely what you're saying there,
But this thing, I have noticed that the results has
just been fantastic. Would you like me to give an
example of one of the first experiments we used with

(24:00):
this type of technology, Yes, please do, Okay. I'm good
friends with a military officer at a major military base.
I wanted to maintain their anonimity here.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
So okay, So when we come back from this break,
you will hear this remarkable story about this incredible success
that was achieved using this device. And then and then
we're gonna switch gears a little bit. I have just

(24:34):
learned about a new cryptid and I think this was
particularly interesting because there's actually a real body involved here,
A real policeman shot a real creature and well you'll
hear that story. Have you ever heard of the Loveland Frogman?

(24:57):
What do you think? Does the frogman sound like a
cute and cuddly cryptid or a terrifying thing that might
come creeping out of the bushes at night. I'm Joshua P. Warren.
You're listening to Strange Things on the iHeartRadio and Coast
to Coast AM Paranormal Podcast Network. And I'll be back

(25:20):
after these important messages. Welcome back to Strange Things holl

(26:00):
on the iHeartRadio and Coast to Coast AM Paranormal Podcast Network.
I'm your host, Joshua P. Warren, and this is the
show where the unusual becomes usual. And now back to
the story that doctor Mulder is about to tell you

(26:22):
regarding the remarkable success of these machines.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
I'm good friends with a military officer at a major
military base. I wanted to maintain their anonymity here, so
but this individual we was in charge of dealing with
the counseling of of our some of our fine men
and women in the military, and they were having a

(26:51):
lot of crisis calls due to PDSD because a lot
of these people got back from battle and they were,
you know, having some issues, and so they had a
good baseline of how many calls they were getting per month.
And so I was working in conjunction with this fantastic officer,
and what we did was we decided to use the

(27:12):
tepophone technology, using the chakra technology, and using the color
technology to help with a mental well being of these soldiers.
And so what we did was we went through this
operation and within thirty days, we noticed, my friend noticed
that their crisis calls dropped by over thirty five percent.

(27:37):
And that's that's incredible, that's incredible. I was happy. I
would have been happy if we had a one percent,
you know improvement, but it was almost thirty five percent.
And so that's when we really decided, Okay, we have
something here, and we can use this to really help
our fellow our fellow men and women. And again that's

(27:59):
just what I'll give you another example. I had a
good friend of mine who had relatives in another country,
and they used this technology to project a certain good
healing energy towards this individual because they were basically non
responsive to all the medications and they didn't know what

(28:22):
to do. They were desperate, so they went ahead and
tuned this machine for that individual, and apparently the medications,
the therapy that was being used took hold and they
were able to recover. And it's just like a little
way of just Again, this was from a remote location
where they were doing this. I think it was somewhere

(28:43):
in South America, And so this is another example of
what can be done with these wonderful machines.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
And so basically by manipulating and fine tuning the color,
you can really use this for virtually any type of
shoe or problem, whether it may be something in the
on the physical plane, or the spiritual plane, or the
mental plane. The idea is that the universe is all
made up of light, basically that, and that you can

(29:15):
send whatever light to whatever issue you need to deal with.
And so let's say, for example, Brad doctor Moulder, if
you see a if you see a red traffic light,
you stop. If you see a green traffic light, you go.
You can use infrared to see invisible phenomena all around us,

(29:35):
and ultraviolet to kill harmful micro organisms. And so, bearing
that kind of thing in mind, how do you feel
about the relationship between the color of light and how
we can use it to shape our lives for the better.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
Well, again, each color has its own frequency and turn
will have a different influence on the physical or spiritual
or psychological nature of reality. And so you know, again
it's a case by case basis. I've you know, some
people read will stimulate something. For others, a fine, a

(30:17):
very cool, violet or bluish color will calm the situation.
Just the change of frequencies. For example, I think you're right,
you know, it's already triggered into our subconscious, into our
consciousness what certain colors mean to us, whether they mean
safety or whether they mean danger. And so again I

(30:37):
think it's just part of the human you know, the
human element. For example, the one color that that we're
able to best recognize or see different shades of is green.
We're able to see, out of all the colors on
the spectrum, green is by far the easiest for us
to focus on and to differentiate from other shades of green.

(31:00):
And the reason what is is because of survival, we
had to know as their protor behind that tree, is
their protor behind that bush. And because of that, we're
able to differentiate the color green and look at other
colors or other hues within that within that veget or
that vegetation, just for the fact of protection of survival

(31:21):
to be able to seek out and be warned of
any kind of protors or any harm to the individual
or to their clan. You know, that's how things worked out.
And I think that's a fine example of how colors
do have an effect on humans, both or anything else
that's living, you know, in this reality.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
I have seen videos on the net and maybe you
have as well, of people who were born color blind.
And then apparently there are glasses out there but you
can get that well, I don't know exactly how they work,
but they will all out color blind people to get
a little bit more of a look at what the

(32:05):
color world is like. And almost every time the person
who's color blind puts them on and just starts weeping.
You know, it's just amazed because it's impossible to understand
how that person is seeing the world through those glasses,
but it obviously is making a huge impact just to

(32:26):
be able to see what this thing is that we
call color, which is just a reflection of light. But
I think it's interesting that you know, the original tepaphone
you created is a singular white light and which I
think is it's fantastic for almost anything you want to do,
but this one is it's wonderful because when you fine

(32:48):
tune that color and you can study that, you can
see a chart that shows, for example, how different colors
relate to different parts of the body chakras, as well
as you can go online and look at a color
that rep Is it something that you want to attain.
If you want to live by the ocean, maybe you
send it to the color blue. If you want more money,
maybe you said it to the color green. I mean,

(33:08):
you can associate color in some abstract way with almost
any kind of a thought for them, And so I
think that you've done just a terrific job here and
it's another wonderful advancement in the world of radionics and psionics.
So thank you for your work, and is there anything
else you want to add?

Speaker 3 (33:28):
Well, I want to thank our wonderful customers who have
purchased these and given me feedback on their results, and
it's just been phenomenal. It's been rewarding, and I have
to say, Josh, it's been an absolute pleasure of being
associated with you over the years, and I think you
and I have done some fantastic work together and what

(33:50):
we discussed tonight is by far another example of what
we've been able to accomplish. And it's just been a
fantastic partnership. And thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Well, thank you You've been a great, wonderful friend for
a long time. And uh, you know, I think at
some point we should have a show where maybe I'll
just spend some time reading some testimonials from people who
have used these devices. So that would be, uh, that
would be fun to do, all right, doctor Molder, thanks
for being on the show. Thank you, and again, if

(34:23):
you would like to learn more about this, go to
thetepophone dot com or just go to Joshua Pee Warren
dot com and there should be a link in the
Curiosity Shop to the Tepaphone. You just scroll down and
you'll find the Chakra spectrophone. You know, I have no
doubt that, yes, uh, even though humans are capable of

(34:46):
perceiving the chakra, animals are much more capable of seeing
it for a number of reasons. And you know, animals
really are what we would almost consider super supernatural. Obviously
that doesn't make sense because they're part of nature, but
they're they're super superhuman and uh. In fact, I did

(35:12):
a two part two parter on this topic. If you
if you are interested in like the amazing and almost
paranormal abilities of animals, go back and listen to this
podcast called Strange Things, Episode one seventy nine called A
Wild History of Ghostly and Spectral Animals, and then also

(35:34):
episode one eight, part two, A Wild History of Ghostly
and Spectral Animals. There was so much that I just
you know, I took up two shows for it because
I actually wrote a book many years ago called Pet
Ghosts Animal Encounters from Beyond the Grave. And so there's something,

(35:56):
you know, very special about the mystery of how non
human creatures experience these energy fields. And then of course
it gets even deeper when people say, oh, and by
the way, there's a creature out there that has not
even been technically classified by science yet, a cryptid some

(36:22):
being that we might say may or may not exist.
You know I'm talking. You know. Obviously you get the
typical ones like mothman, locknest monster, Bigfoot, but then there
are some that kind of you know, blur the lines
and are even weirder. A lot of are very local,
very regional beings and It makes you wonder just how

(36:46):
many bizarre creatures there might be out there that we
haven't quite discovered, perhaps because they're not fully physical all
the time, they're interdimensional. Well, I learned about this new cryptid.
I don't know how I missed this, and it's very
possible this thing was it was or is entirely physical.

(37:09):
A policeman shot it, and a policeman delivered a body.
It's called the Loveland frog Man. And when we come
back from this break, I'm going to tell you what
I've learned so far about this Hell's from Loveland, Ohio.
I think that's about thirty minutes northeast of Cincinnati, something

(37:34):
like that. I'm Joshua pe One. You're listening to Strange
Things on the iHeartRadio and Coast to Coast AM Paranormal
Podcast Network, and I will be right back. Welcome back

(38:23):
to the final segment of this edition of Strange Things
on the iHeartRadio and Coast to Coast AM Paranormal Podcast Network.
I am your host, Joshua P. Warren, and I love
stories of weird cryptids. Do I believe they are all real? No?

(38:45):
I don't, but maybe anything you imagine is real. On
some mental psychic plane.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
You know.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
I know. I keep referring you to some of the
previous shows that I've done over these years, but that
just shows you how many topics I've covered I did.
Let's see episode two oh nine of this podcast called
Strange Things. It's titled Weirdo Monsters, Fresno Nightcrawler, Veggie Man,

(39:21):
et cetera. If you've ever heard of Veggie Man, for example,
go back and listen to episode two nine. Fun for
the whole Family. I actually had a mother one time
who emailed me and said that she and her family
were in a cold northern state and the power was

(39:41):
out and they didn't have much to do, so they
sat around and listened to the podcast and said that
that was their favorite one. The kids loved that one.
But I somehow I missed this one. The Loveland frog
Man Loveland, Ohio. Like I say, I don't really know
that much about the geography of Ohio, but it looks

(40:01):
to me like it's maybe a thirty minute drive northeast
of Cincinnati. And here's the story. In Ohio folklore, the
Loveland Frogman is a legendary humanoid frog standing roughly four

(40:23):
feet tall. That's one point two meters allegedly spotted there
in Loveland, Ohio, says in nineteen seventy two, the Loveland
Frogman legend gained renewed attention when a Loveland police officer
reported to a colleague that he had seen an animal
consistent with descriptions of the frogman. After a reported sighting

(40:47):
in twenty sixteen, the second officer called a news station
to report that he had shot and killed that same
creature some weeks after the nineteen seventy two incident, and
he identified what it was. I'm going to tell you
that in a minute. Okay. So I don't know if
you kept up with all that, but they say that
here's how this kind of started. Here's the legend. According

(41:11):
to the story, the creature was first sighted by a
businessman or a traveling salesman driving along an unnamed road
late at night in nineteen fifty five. Okay, so we're
going all the way back to fifty five. Some versions
of the story say it happened in the month of May.

(41:32):
In one story, the driver was heading out of the
Branch Hill neighborhood when he spotted three figures standing on
their hind legs along the side of the road, each
of them three to four feet in height. Okay, so
that's a little less than a meter up to one
point two meters or so in height. So he sees

(41:53):
three of these figures standing there with leathery skin and
frog faces, and other versions of the story the creatures
were spotted under or over a poorly lit bridge, and
one held a wand over its head that sprayed fireworks sparks.

(42:15):
That's nice, okay, But here's where this story takes kind
of an even more interesting twist. On March third of
nineteen seventy two, at one am, a Loveland police officer
named Ray Shaki was driving on Riverside Drive when an

(42:37):
unidentified animal scurried across the road in front of his vehicle.
The animal was fully illuminated in his vehicle's headlights, and
he described it as being about three to four feet
and maybe about fifty to seventy five pounds that's twenty
five to thirty five kilograms, with leathery skin. He reported

(43:02):
spotting the animal quote crouched like a frog before it
momentarily stood erect to climb over the guardrail and back
down towards the river. Now two weeks after this incident,
a second Loveland police officer named Mark Matthews reported seeing

(43:22):
an unidentified animal crouched along that same road in that
same vicinity as Shaki sighting. But this guy, this policeman Matthews,
he shot it, shot the animal, recovered the body, put
it in his trunk to show Officer Shaki, and according

(43:46):
to Matthews, it was quote a large iguana about three
or three and a half feet long. Were the same
size we've been talking about. But he said it was
weird that he didn't immediately he recognized that it was
an iguana because it was missing its tail, and Matthews

(44:08):
speculated the iguana had been someone's pet that had either
quote got loose or was released when it grew too
large end quote. And according to Matthews, the policeman SHOCKI
was shown the dead iguana and confirmed it was the
animal that he had seen two weeks previously. Matthews recounted

(44:29):
the incident to an author of a book about urban legends,
but says the author quote omitted the part that confirmed
the creature was an iguana rather than a frogman end quote. Well.
Since then, over the years in this area, the legend
of the Frogman has grown and grown. As a matter

(44:50):
of fact, it is now sort of a mascot of
the city. Twenty three. They especially embraced him for the
second annual Hearts a Fire weekend celebration. I'm looking right
now at a picture of the Frogman and from the
event there, and it looks like somebody dressed up to

(45:16):
me like a big teenage mutant ninja turtle, like, you know,
a big kind of neon green outfit with a crown
on crown of hearts. I guess a red crown of hearts,
so it kind of looks like a frog prince. So
you know, they're saying, it's cuddly. It's our cuddly, lovable Frogman,

(45:37):
nothing to be afraid of, you know what. I was
living in Puerto Rico, and by the way, I don't
know what to believe here, so you know, I'm just
telling you the story. You can look into this and
you can tell me what you believe. When I was
living in Puerto Rico for five years, Iguanas were everywhere,
and I thought they were fascinating. You know, people would

(45:59):
say stay away from them, they carry diseases and all that,
or they'll they'll take their tail and thwap you and
break your leg. But I actually had an iguana that
liked to hang out on this tree in my backyard,
and I looked forward to seeing that iguana every day.
We were friends. It was like my little pet. I
would even feed it occasionally, believe it or not, carrots,

(46:21):
I think, and then uh, you know, like chewed up
carrots that was mushy. Now, one day the landlord came
and they thought of iguanas as pest and they cut
that tree limb down where that iguana used to hang out.
And man, I got so so ticked off. I got

(46:41):
so ticked off. But uh, you know the thing is,
I also I have to admit I did eat in
iguana while I was there, and uh it was good.
It was good. You know. I'm sorry if that offends you.
But I mean there is a market of people who

(47:03):
sell iguanas for that purpose. I don't know if you
can find those readily in the USA, But I like iguanas.
I think they're cool. Was this an iguana? I don't know,
it's hard to say. The Loveland frog Man, how about
some mental manna here before the clock runs out on us,
how about some trivia. Here's some trivia that I got

(47:25):
from my wife Lauren. The term mortician was invented as
part of a pr campaign by the funeral industry, which
felt it was more customer friendly than undertaker. The replacement
was chosen after a call for ideas and a periodical

(47:48):
called Embalmer's Monthly. So they had a contest and somebody
came up with mortician. They're like, you're the winner. One more.
If you call your cigar a stogy, you have the
township of Conastoga, Pennsylvania to think. Some say that's because
an early cigar factory was built in the area. The

(48:10):
more sources seem to think it has to do with
the smoking habits of the men who drove the so
called Conastoga wagons. You know, there was two or three
other things I wanted to tell you about, but oh well,
the clock has got us. That's what the next show
is for. And I hope you tell all your friends

(48:31):
about this program and keep us, keep us going, keep
us going for a while. All right, it is time
for us to end the show in our favorite way.
Try to make the next week the best week ever
for all of us. If you can close your eyes
take some deep breaths, and now I'm going to play
for you the one, the only, the world famous good

(48:54):
Fortune tone. That's it for this edition of the show.
