Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now here's a highlight from coast to coast am on iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
And welcome back to our pre Halloween show, George, and
we're with you. Spiritualists in the United States believe that
the dead are able to contact a living, reportedly using
a talking board similar to Ouija board. This happened in
Ohio in eighteen eighty six. Now what's happening in a moment?
Karen Dolman joins us. Karen is a best selling author,

(00:26):
licensed counselor, and voice and modern spirit communications. She holds
a master's degree in counseling psychology and works to bridge
the worlds of science and the spirit with grounded inside
and depth. Her latest work is called When Cats Had Wings. Karen,
Welcome back to the show. How are you?

Speaker 3 (00:45):
I'm doing great, George, and I'm super thrilled to be
here tonight, especially on the eve of Halloween, because tonight
isn't going to be about fear. It's going to be
about awareness. And as you know, and you've talked about
it many times in the show, the Luigi board is
carrying this very spooky reputation, reputation for decades.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
But I've got to say that that.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Spookiness is really only a reflection of our own collective
fear of the unseen the unknown, and the Wisure Board
tends to bring that out in person. But I want
to say this too, When and if we sit in
great curiosity, gratitude, respect, the board can become a doorway
to wisdom and it can let us experience this expanded

(01:24):
wisdom and awareness that mystics, artists, and adventures throughout time
have always tapped into. So tonight I want to share
with you and the listeners that the spirit world is
not something to fear. Instead, it's something to remember, and
that remembrance is that.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
We're all part of when vast field of consciousness.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
So tonight we're going to be talking a lot about
consciousness and awareness.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Kerron, let's go back a little bit. How did you
get interested in the spirit world generally?

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Well, you know, I've always been able to see in
two other dimensions.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
I came into this.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
World with the clear senses, the ability to see ye
feel different energies. So I've always had this relationship with
awareness and with greater levels of consciousness. I just didn't
have the words back then. But when I was introduced
to the board at that point, I'd already had what
you would call an imaginary playmate, which wasn't imaginary, and

(02:17):
I was already seeing beans and other dimensions, and I
knew that because people said they couldn't see them. So
when I was introduced to the board's it was, you know,
as a very young girl, it was a long way
way long before I've understood what consciousness was, and it
wasn't scary, and in fact, it was actually fascinating, so
fascinating that I wanted to explore it. And it took

(02:38):
me on this, you know, lifelong odyssey to continue to
find myself, creating a sacred space around the board and
learning to use this tool no different than I would
if I was channeling other types of energies in other ways.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
I've used this story before, Karen, but I'm going to
mention it to you, and I want your impression of
this thing. I had a weed you board years ago.
Years ago, I had a Wiji board when I was
doing my Saint Louis Nighthawk program and I brought this
thing into the studio. First big mistake. Everything in the
studio technically went wrong. The board went wrong, Everything was haywire.

(03:15):
We had carts to play commercials. In those days, it
wasn't on computer. I'm playing the carts and they would
jam up. I went to my producer, Howard. I said, Howard,
get this blankety blank thing out of here. Would you
please just take it out of here? And he did,
and everything seemed to come back up. The board started working,

(03:35):
the cart machines worked, the commercials went on. Everything was fine.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Well.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
After the show ended, Karen I went up to Howard
and said, what did you do with the Wiji board?
He said, I gave it to Darryl. Daryl was one
of our news guys. Two days later, Daryl gets fired.
About a week later, we run into Daryl at a restaurant. Hey, Darryl,
how you doing. I'm sorry to hear what happened to you?

(04:00):
He said, yeah, I'll tell you what what. I'm sorry
about getting that Ouiji board from Howard. I said, what
do you mean? He said, well, since every time I
had it, I got fired, my girlfriend left me, my
life is all messed up. I got rid of it
all right. Now explain that, Karen, what happened to the guy.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Well, you know, it's funny how we want to immediately
assume it has to do with a piece of board,
a neutral device that caused such havoc in our lives,
that maybe that havoc or that chaos or the changes
needed to happen, maybe his life is better off now.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
Maybe he needed to.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Get a new job, get a new girlfriend. Maybe she
wasn't the right one for him. So you'd have to
really look at this over time. We too often have
this fair and superstition around this neutral device and making
it is something that it really isn't.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
And we can get more into that tonight.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
But I really think that everything is probably a lot
better for him because of the changes that he allowed
to happen in his life.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Now.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
If he wants to blame i'm a board, that's fine.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
But one of these days he's going to wake up
and go, wow, I'm much better off now than I
was then.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
I know.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
When we take calls next hour with you, I'd love
for people to call us if they've used the weed
you board and tell us some of their stories and
give us their thoughts. We're not going to beat you up, Karen,
that's not going to happen, but you're going to get
some tough calls too.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
I'm sure I'm sure we're gonna get some really interesting
and inviting calls as well, because I got to tell you, George,
I've been using this board for fifty two years now,
fifty two and a half years, and what I've learned
is over the years, I've met so many people who
reach out to me and tell me such incredible stories.
Now I hear the other side of the stories and
we can address that. But I've heard some incredible stories

(05:43):
using this tool and how they've been able to, like
I said earlier, channel like the mystics, bring in information
that can help them in their life or even find
some positivity or insight and guidance.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
So there's different ways you can use this tool for sure.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
In your opinion, is is it the board or the
individual that is doing whatever is happening?

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Well, the board is doing nothing. It's neutral.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
It's just a focus point to allow the communications to occur.
It's actually the way of manner in which I choose
to channel. You can channel, you know, with a pen, writing,
with a keyboard, you can channel direct voice, medium ship,
you can channel with the.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Wision board with the tool.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
So it's not the tool doing it, it's the operator
and I like to call operators because the word operator
means you have a responsibility, like if you're operating a
car or operating some kind of vehicle or some kind
of device, you have a responsibility to operate it, you know, accurately,
correctly and safely. And so what I say about the
boards is it's neutral, and if our fears get involved

(06:46):
in it, that's when things go haywire, because what happens
is the board is becomes this mirror, mirror, if you will,
a mirror to what we are putting into it, our intentions.
If we fear it, we're going to magnify and mirror
back to our selves these fears.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
Whereas if we see it more.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
As a device, a tool just to hear messages and
receive guidance and inspiration and wisdom, then that's.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
What we're going to get back from it. So it's
really about the operator.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
That's the most important part to this device is you
yourself using it.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Tell us about this experience that happened in Mexico. It's
an incredible story. You've heard about, Oh.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
You're talking about yes, Teresa and Sturmi, Well, this was
this is this is really fun. I was on a
trip to cabo As Cabasan Luca's on a golf trip,
of all things.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
And this is about an aperation. Okay.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
I hadn't plan on doing any kind of spirit communication.
You know, I had my golf clubs with me. I
did not bring a board. I brought my balls and
teas instead. But my friend quietly packed a small gloom
that our travel wiji aboard and set its planchet port
pointing towards my bed one night. And this kind of
acts as the interject doorway only because I use this

(07:57):
tool a lot. It's kind of like a reminder that heye,
she's here. So at about three in the morning, I
woke up and there she was, I swear. Just a
few feet in front of me sat a woman and
this white Victorian gown, her dark hairs pinned up. Her
presence was solid but glowing kind of in the dim light.
And she didn't I only start from the waist up.

(08:19):
It startled me, I mean, of course it did. But
what I felt wasn't terror. It was more like sorrow.
She was longing. She was a mother, I found out,
searching for something she couldn't find. And later, when we
sat at the board, she told.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
Us her name.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Her name was Teresa, and she told me she was
looking for her daughter, Stirmy, a child that she had
lost tragically over a century ago. Now, with the help
of loving energies, we guided Teresa and her daughter and
to find her daughter. And she did, and the energy
in the room completely changed. It was as if the
sun was pouring in where it used to be dark,

(08:54):
and it felt peaceful, warm, just a sense of relief.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
And she communicate with us about this now.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Well, the other interesting part of the story was I
went down and spoke to the waiters in the morning
at the breakfast and I told I spoke my broken
Spanish the best I could, and they said, oh yeah,
we see this woman in a Victorian gown walking the
beach at night, and when some people walk up to her,
she disappears.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
And I said, well, she was in my room last night.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
This is what's going on. But you know that experience,
George taught me that consciousness isn't divided by life or death. Instead,
it's one continuous field of awareness and love is actually
the bridge between what we would call these two worlds.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
You've said that the board is a gateway to consciousness.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
What does that mean, well, you can use the board
to tap into other levels of awarenesses. So over the
years I've used this board and I began to speak
with different types of beings, and I learned that the
way to do that is through my own conscious awareness,
my own consciousness and opening up to that, opening up
to the possibilities. And so when I did that, I

(10:03):
realized all these different beings of different dimensions or angelic
field or ethereal guides or group of beans I call
the guides.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Right now, I speak with animal communication.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Like the book that when Kats had Wings, the last
one I wrote. It allowed me to tap into their
consciousness through tapping into my own consciousness. So it becomes
this energetic field that is I will call it a
gateway of consciousness that you can tap into and then
begin to bring forth information. And I've got to say,
I really believe that humanity is tied together, if you will,

(10:37):
and a grander collective consciousness system, and that allows us
to tap into all these different frequencies. Just by shifting
our frequency through our intentions.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
You and I've spoken about this before.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
We can change our frequency to match the frequency of
a different consciousness and therefore we can bring it through.
And you know what, many cultures throughout eons have been
practicing altered states of awareness or shifting the frequencies to
make contact.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
And that's what I do. I just happen to use
a board while I do it.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Have you ever had a bad experience with the Weedi board?

Speaker 4 (11:14):
You know I haven't, but I will say this.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
One time I had an experience where what my brother
and I.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
This is many years ago, we're talking.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
It was about nineteen eighty three, eighty foursh so maybe
thirteen nineteen thirteen years about ten eleven years after I
started using the board. I was sitting down with my
brother and we were communicating with a bean, and this
is around the time I was still learning to fine
tune myself, learning about consciousness, learning about frequency, learning about attention.

(11:45):
And something came through and said just derogatory comments to
me and some explicitives. And I said, my brother said,
what is that? I go, well, it doesn't matter what
it is. We won't play this game. We won't participate
with that. So I picked the board and Sarah ceremoniously
wipe my sleeve or my shirt on it, and he says,
what are you doing? I said, we I'm wiping off

(12:06):
the energy, and it's all ceremoniously, just a ritualistic just
look like I'm shifting the energy. And sure enough, when
we did that that I never had that energy ever
once again come through. And that is when will Majean,
when my first i'll call her my bouncer, a gatekeeper,
came through the board. It was really quite an experience,
and that that was a turning point too, George, because

(12:28):
I realized that's when you really have to have intentions
and you don't keep engaging with something that doesn't seem right,
because when you use this tool, you get to know
what and who you're talking to by their frequency, by
how they leave you feeling. And if you feel anything
like intimidation or fear based, stop, don't use this tool

(12:49):
or do what I did, shift your own energy and
by you know, ceremoniously wiping it off.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
That was my way. I realized later.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
I shifted the energy in the room, focused again, and
we brought forth a wonderful, loving being that I spoke
with for about fifteen years after that.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
It is fascinating how it works. Now. Do you do
think though, that some spirits, good ones come through the
Wuiji board.

Speaker 4 (13:13):
Well, you know, it really depends upon the operator.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Again, absolutely, yes, that's all that comes through for me.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
Again has to do with my intentions.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
And again all the years of using this and learning
so much about the frequency and the consciousness of how
I communicate connect with other beings. It's like dialing up
a frequency or pushing buttons on a phone, the old
dial up phones or push button phones. You're actually dialing
a frequency, just like when you know, we call on
the phone.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
So I find that people get stuck in.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Fear or a lower vibration and that will be mirrored back.
So that's when you start getting things that feel less
than friendly and negative. And that's a real thing. When
you have negative energy, you draw to yourself. I mean
you could draw it to yourself without a board. You
just have a chip on your shoulder. Walk around during
the day, go to the grocery store and see what

(14:03):
kind of people you track, See how you respond to
people or people respond to you.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
It's like attracts like and so if you want that
to shift, you got to shift your energy.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
I always tell people, George, if they're going to use
this tool, check your baggage at the door. Get in
a good space, you know, think positive thoughts, set your
intentions of how what kind of responses you want, and
go about this this device, this channeling with intrigue, with curiosity,
with interest, and if you go on that level of energies,

(14:35):
you're gonna find that's what you're gonna be met with.
