Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now here's a highlight from Coast to Coast AM on iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
And welcome back to Coast to Coast. George Noriy with you,
Chris Fleming with us. Chris, do you attribute prayer exclusively
to beating this?

Speaker 3 (00:14):
What do you think? Well, I think it's also it's
also my state of mind. Yeah, because like I said earlier,
you know, being in the hospital, I'm like, I'm not
going to succumb to this like I'm a victim or
anything like that. So by me being kind to everybody
that came in, you know, some of the nurses would
come in. I noticed I say, are you okay? You're

(00:34):
doing okay? Like, yeah, I'm doing fine. You're you're asking
me if okay you're the one in here with cancer.
You know, it was a thing of I wanted to
make sure that everybody came in was appreciated. And for me,
it was like if I have this attitude because I'd
watch other people that had cancer and they just sit
in the room watching TV like a zombie or you know,
wouldn't really talk to anybody because obviously they're suffering mentally

(00:57):
or physically. I'm like, I'm not I'm not gonna do
that because if I do that, then I think I
lose the battle and then it takes me over. And
when they do the chemo, I would meditate. I would
sit there, go okay. I would talk to all my cells.
I close my eyes. I said, cells, listen, you got this.
These navy seals coming into my body. They're going to
start shooting up everything. But what you got to do
is get out of the way and point to them

(01:19):
where the cancer is and tell them this is where
the cancer is. Let them do their job. Some of
you are going to die in the way, but you'll
be reborn later, rejuvenated the cells. I said, but you
got to let this foreign invader come in and destroy it.
So every time they did the infusion with the chemo
going into me, I would sit there and lay there
and just focus on that, and I tell my body,
I said, listen, there's I know the cancer. You're in

(01:39):
my body, but you don't have permission to be there.
I said, you've done your you know whatever it is
you're teaching me, whatever you're doing, you're doing it. But
you can't stay. You have to go. And that was
just the attitude that I had because I realized I
would lose if I didn't, if I had it a different.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Way and was fearful. Were the doctors in shock at
your recovery?

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, watching my doctor walk in and her face.
And you know, in comparison, there's a friend of mine,
Dan Olson, I went to college with and I played
football with. He actually blocked for me because I was
a running back at Bloyd College. And when I was
in the first week, my offensive coordinator offensive line coach

(02:26):
texted me and he said, hey, Dan Olsen has cancer too.
I go what I said, give me his number. So
gave me his number. I called him up and lo
and behold. Dan had the same doctor, was going to
the same hospital, same nurses, and he had the same
type of cancer I had. And unfortunately he passed away
in March. The cancer. You know, he had beat it

(02:49):
and it came right back. Two months later. He had
a bone marrow transplant. It was working. Then it failed
and his immune system got so weak and went into
hospice and he died a week later. I mean it
was for me because it was a little bit of
survivor revote remorse. You know, we talked every single week
on the phone and motivated each other. You know what
kind of what was it like this week? What'd you
go through? What nurse or doctor did you see? But

(03:11):
I'm very fortunate that I got to go to his
house and hold his hand the day before he died,
and I said, Dan, you know the angels are going
to be there for you. You know I'm going to
beat this too, and I'm going to live on for you,
and I'll see your brother when you know, when my
time comes, I'll see you on the other side. And
he says, he swore, He says, I'm trying to f

(03:31):
and get out of here. You know. He squeaked that
out because he was trying to let go and he couldn't.
But he died the next morning.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Did your paranormal experience help you, well?

Speaker 3 (03:42):
You know what's interesting about that, George's I was having
all these experiences prior to them injecting the chemo. As
soon as I got the chemotherapy, the side terra beIN
and the other stuff going through me, for the first
time in my life, everything was quiet. I heard no voices,
I saw nothing, I felt nothing when the chemo was

(04:02):
in me, and even when I would be at home
recovering for weeks before I had to go back again
in a month or two, there was nothing and it
was probably the most peaceful time I've had because everything
was completely shut off. And at first I worried, oh
my god, it's gone. I don't have it anymore. But
then as the chemo would start to fade, and before

(04:23):
I go back in little things would start to happen again.
And now that you know it's over with, it's come back,
and I'm actually I feel like I'm more perceptive of
people and things that are going on, and I'm seeing
things all the time, which is kind of actually irritating
because it's very distracting. But there was a couple of

(04:44):
things if you'd like me to share with you that
happened when I got to the hospital. Is my buddy Brad.
Brad does a lot of deliverance and exorcisms with Father
Mike who's in Indiana, and Father Mike was on the
Demail House documentary and did the LaToya Ammon's Possession case.

(05:04):
I've got to be friends with Father Mike and Brad's
one of his best friends, so Brad's become my best friend.
And Brad was always taking me to the hospital. Well,
Brad took me that day in August twenty third. We
waited an emergency for a couple hours. They came in.
They put me on a gurney. They said, we got
to go to the basement underground because it's across the street.

(05:26):
So they have these underground tunnels at Northwestern, which is
pretty cool. And we're going through this underground tunnel. And
the first thing is, it reminds me of if anybody
ever watched Kolchak the Night Stalker back in the seventies,
there's an episode called The Century where you see these
long tunnels. He's going down in like in a cart,
and you see this lizard. Not that I saw a lizard,
but I'm just saying that it reminded me of that.

(05:46):
Because the lights were kind of dim, and as we
cut the corner in the hallway, all of a sudden,
I started seeing all these apparitions. All these people. I'm
seeing men, women, and children. They're all wearing gowns and
they're standing there very similar to like something out of
the Walking Dead. I mean, their faces look normal, they're
not decayed like zombies, but they're all standing around. There
was so many of them, and as the gurney's going through.

(06:08):
They're kind of parting way and just staring at me.
And I tell my buddy, dude, there's all these ghosts here.
They're staring at me. He goes why. I don't know.
It's freaking me out because they're not saying anything. They're
just staring at me. So we get past that, and
I look back and you know, and they're gone. And
we get up to the fifteenth floor, which is the
Woman's Apprentice building in the fifteenth and the fourteenth floor

(06:31):
of the cancer Wings, and we go through one of
those airlocks. There's an air lock you go in and
it closes, and it's to make sure there's no bacterial
infection that you bring in because everybody's anitro penic and
has no immune system. Soon as the doors open up
and they're pushing the gurney again, I mean what I
saw it shocked the hell out of me. I see

(06:51):
this cloaked, shrouded black mass figure come around the corner
and it turns around, almost like Ara, and looks at me,
And it looked like something I'd have scrooged with the
ghost of Future Past or whatever. It was almost like
the grim Reaper but there's no skull face, and there's
no scythe you know, there's no with that finger. Yeah,

(07:14):
there's nothing like that. But I'm seeing this and I've
seen ghosts, you know, throughout my whole life, and I've
seen something similar to us. But it's looking at me,
and I realizing, oh my god, this is death. And
as it's looking at me, it quickly realizes I can
see it and it shoots off. Now I'm like, obviously
it's there because people die on that floor. So I

(07:36):
was a little, uh, I don't know what the word
is to describe it. But they get me to my
room and I'm thinking about it, and all of a sudden, George,
my buddy, Brad. I'm looking at my Brad. What's wrong.
It's like, Chris, I saw something like what you see.
He's like, I think I saw death. I'm like, what, wow,
I go describe what you saw. He goes, there was
this black cloaked figure that it had a like a

(07:58):
robe over it, and it's his face was black and
it was right there on the courner. I said, wait,
was that right when the airlock opened and we just
start going on the hallway. He goes, yeah, I go, Brad,
I saw too. How the hell did you see that?
He says, I don't know, but it was there. I said,
oh my god. So we say it there and we
talked about it, like it's obviously there for patients that
pass away, which happens frequently. And I said, but Brad,

(08:20):
did you notice something? He's like, what. It didn't come
towards me, Brad, it retreated. So does that mean that
it's not there for me? It's or at least not yet.
You know, we didn't know. So he left, you know,
And I spent the night and it was It was uneventful.
But the next day this is where things started to

(08:41):
get crazy. And I'm in this really nice room and
it's looking out towards the play pen night by Navy
Pier in Northwestern by Lake Shore Drive. It's a gorgeous
view and they tend to put people in there that
are terminal, right, and I didn't know that until later.
So they've got me the nice room because they don't
think I'm going to be there much longer. And I'm
sitting on this couch. It's like a couch, it's a lot,

(09:02):
it's a bench, and all of a sudden, you hear
the pinging going on in the hallway, like someone's hitting
the nurse call button, and a nurse comes in and goes, yeah,
you need something. I go no, why? Well, throughout the day, George,
they kept coming in something or someone was pressing the
button on the nurse call that handle thing that also
turns on the TV. And it kept happening all day long,

(09:23):
and they were getting really irritated. So several nurses would
come in. Are you playing it? I go, I'm sitting here.
They're like, and they turned back. He's not even touching it.
He's not even near the bed. And they were frustrated.
Why it kept happening? Well, then it expands to something else.
Then all of a sudden, another nurse comes in. She
goes right in the bathroom. She yells, he's not in here,
and I go, no, I'm sitting over here by the chair.

(09:45):
They're like, did you pull the cord in the bathroom?
I said no, I'm right here. So now the cord
in the bathroom was going off. Now I'm sitting there thinking,
going why does this happen? I said, oh, you know what,
last night before I went to bed, I said, I
did prayers the dead. I prayed for all those souls
that I saw in the underground, because obviously there were

(10:05):
spirits and ghosts that were still stuck here that haven't
passed over. So I did all these prayers for the dead.
That night. Well, around five pm, I hear all this commotion.
I closed the door because it was getting noisy out there,
and there's this commotion outside my door, and I'm like,
what the hell is going on? So I walk over there.
I open up the door and there's these maintenance guys
and there's a nurse there and they got a bucket

(10:26):
and there's water dripping just above my door from the ceiling,
and I go, what's going on? So, well, we don't know.
We're trying to figure this out, and it's dripping and
dripping and dripping and dripping, and all of a sudden,
they said there might be a leak, and I said,
has there ever been a leak performance for They said no,
They said that might be causing electrical but that this
pipe is not even near those other things in the

(10:47):
other part of the room. So the nurse is like, unfortunately,
we're going to have to move you. I said, why,
because all these things are going on in this room,
so I don't want to leave because I'm getting all
this activity. Well, they moved me into the next room,
and guess what, they move me into the next room,
everything stops in that other room. There was nothing else
happening in that room, So now I'm in the new room.

(11:09):
That night, I go to sleep and I'm woking up
at four in the morning. A little girl is right
beside my bed. She goes hello, and I wake up,
and I felt her presence and I heard her voice,
but then there was nothing there. No, I'm not hallucining. No, no,
So I press the button for a nurse and the

(11:30):
nurse comes in. I go, can I ask you something
might sound crazy? She goes, well, I go, has anybody
come in contact with a girl ghost in this hallway?
She's like, oh my god. She goes wait right here.
Another nurse comes in. She goes, you saw the girl ghosts?
I go, no, I didn't see her. She woke me up.
I heard her, but I felt and I know those
feelings because I'm a medium. She goes, yes, we've seen

(11:50):
a little girl ghost in the hallway, you know, two
doors down from your room. She's appeared there. Other nurses
have seen her over the past couple years. We don't
know who she is. I go, she said to me.
You know, they're like, oh my god. So that was
another thing that happened. Well that day, a guy comes
in and he says, I got to take you to
get CT scans and MRI scans. I said, okay, cool,

(12:13):
you know, so I jump in the gur and he's
a totally cool guy. You know, is he doing I said,
I'm doing good. I say, can I ask you a question?
I go, might sound crazy. I go, you, how long
you've worked there all I've been here for like five
six years. Have you ever seen any paranormal stuff? He goes,
Oh my god, dude, he's like all the time, all
the time. And I said, really, what happens? He goes,
I've seen objects move, doors open and close, you feel

(12:33):
someone behind just staring at you. You know, you hear
someone yell your name and there's nobody behind you. And
he goes, Yeah, it happens all the time. I'm just
used to it. So we go down the elevator. We
all go all the way back down to the underground
the tunnels, and I'm like, holy cow, I was here,
you know the other day and I was seeing all
these spirits. He goes, where did you see the spirits?
I said, right here, on this corner, right here. He's like,

(12:56):
oh my god, I don't want to know that. I
go why. He's like, because on the other side of
the walls the morc.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
I'm like, you're kidding me. He's like, no, this is
the mordwing. So I was seeing all these bodies because
that's the mark. Now we take a left, we go
further down, and then we take another left, and we're
both staring at this emergency door that's the end of
the hallway because we had to make another left. All
of a sudden, the emergency doorway swings open halfway and
slam shut really hard bam. And I go, oh my god,

(13:24):
did you see that? He goes, Yep, that's just the beginning.
I see that all the time. And I said, and
he goes, He goes, why are you so happy about that?
I said, because you were talking about that. It's not
doing to scare us, it's just doing it to let
us know it's here, you know. He says, well, I
could do without that tonight, you know. So it was
stuff like that that was happening. Another time, there's a

(13:45):
shadow that appeared on the edge of the door. The
nurse saw it too, and it was like four in
the morning, you know, and she raced out there and
there was nobody there, and then all of a sudden,
the shadow disappeared as if somebody was there. And then
I had a dream one morning. Little girl name was Vivian.
This couple I know that lives by me. Their daughter
died five years old from cancer, and they came to

(14:06):
see me about three years ago to try to make
contact with her, and we did and I had this
dream and I've never met her before, and she says
in the dream, she's holding this flower, and she goes,
You're gonna be okay. And it only lasted maybe eight
ten seconds, and I wake up, but I'm like, oh
my god, that was I think that's her daughter, you know,
And I told her the story. She goes, oh my god,

(14:28):
that's Vivian. So it was stuff like that that was
happening that made me realize, Okay, the hospital's haunted. It
obviously knows what I do, and it's making contact.

Speaker 4 (14:41):
Were you ever at a point doubtful that you were
going to pull through?

Speaker 3 (14:50):
I looked at it this way because I remember when
I had the near death experience in twenty ten. I
was standing there in front of the guide and I
told the guy I wanted to go to he I
wanted to go through that next level. I was in
this void. You were right, he wanted me to go back.
I was ready then, but I was not ready this time.
I said, no, there's still stuff that I want to do,
and I want to write my book, and there's other

(15:11):
things that i want to try to accomplish. I'm not
ready to go yet. So if I do, I'm not
going to say I want to go. I said I
want to go back, and I'm going to fight to
go back. So I always had that in the back
of my mind that if I die, I'm going to
tell God I need to come back, you know, and
it's free will I need to come back. So that
was always in the back of my mind.
