Okay, all right, Before we talk about that, at least
tell people a little bit about Legacy Sports and some
of the brands that you handle.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Well. Our Bread and Butter brand that we handle, Tom
is the how of fifteen hundred lineup of rifles, which
are renowned for affordability and accuracy and have been utilized
by many companies over the years since the seventies. Whether
he uses the fifteen hundred for their Guard series, Smith
and Wesson has utilized it, Mosburg has utilized it, Inner

Arms utilized it, and Legacy Sports itself actually morphed out
of Inner Arms with Sam Cummings passed away sects inventory
of Hawa and Kuma, a Rossi line got carried over
by the team that started Legacy Sports, and then I
got brought on board in twenty twenty, two thousand and

three November two thousand and three, and then we ended
up moving from Alexandria, Virginia out of the old Inner
Arms building that Sam Cummings had there right on a Potomac,
and then we moved to Reno, Nevada, and since then
there's been no stopping us growing and growing and growing.
The other lines that we carry are pointer shotguns both
over unders coach guns, side by sides, pump guns nineteen

eleven's in the Citadel lineup, and then we have our
extremely popular Boss twenty five semi auto AR fifteen that
we do extremely well with. Then you have the like
I said, the Nico Sterling line two of some optics
we also offer. So there's quite a wide range and
broad spectrum of handguns, shotguns, rifles at various price points

that we offer, utilized by all the major distributors across
the country and box stores and independent dealers.

Okay, so and you wouldn't know this, but I am,
and I know that when it comes to hunting rifles,
especially right now, the market is just divided. It's all
over the place, and you've got some of these lines
are really highly developed pretty heavy, pretty big, long range
shooting the machines, and I mean, they're great devices, But
I go towards the other side of things. I really
(03:49):
like super lightweight hunting rifles because I carry them a
lot and shoot them a little bit. And man, when
I'm looking at what you guys are doing with the
mini actions and the super light you're just tearing the
world up. You might just start with, like your super
lightweight rifle.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Yep, we definitely, without a doubt, have the lightest center
fire rifle on the market. And then we took it
down even another notch in lightweight. A four pounds seven
ounce rifle with a twenty inch barrel that you sub
them away and it's under one thousand dollars retail. That's
(04:28):
amazing in itself. And then we took that gun and
because of the craze of suppressor shooting in popularity, we
decided to take that down to a sixteen and a
quarter inch barrel threaded for everybody to use for suppressors.

Then you have a.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Gun that starts at four pounds three ounces, shove the
m away under one thousand dollars. It's unheard of. I've
sent guns all over the country to writers and editors,
and the first thing I get from them, after they've
shot it at the range and put it through the
string of different AMMO, they call me and they tell me, Andy,

this gun's not coming back.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Period. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
I understand everybody from Ron Spohemer, Craig Bodies and all
of them. It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
And it just said me at the end voice because
you're not getting the gun back.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yeah, because they can't believe how well it shoots. And
that's everything from a six to five creed more than
three eight as well as two forty three and seven moah.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah, my mention here, I've been shooting really light rifles
for a long time and they're how to say this,
the right way shooting light rifle super light rifles is
like shooting a mini pistol. It is less forgiving. You
really have to be on your game as far as
technique to shoot it.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Well, it was absolutely right. You are absolutely right. There
is a technique to shooting a lightweight rifle like that.
From of course, putting a suppressor on it helps with
that muzzle up and so for sure, and the recoil.
But you're right because Ron Spoemer, of all people explain
that to me how he had to change his shooting
technique from shooting off bags on a bench to actually,
(06:12):
you know, holding the front you know, of the scope
down or holding the rifle down where you're shooting just
off of a bench, or Steve Comas from Safari Club
telling me, yeah, you really got to tuck that thing
in your shoulder and hold it good, you know, lean
into it. Yeah, so there's a different technique. You're absolutely right.
(06:32):
It is well worked. It it's a mission it is.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
It's especially gun and if you like I do where
I hunt, I hike a lot, I walk a lot,
and I'm on the hills and I like that lightweight rifle,
and I'll put up with the rest of it, which
means you got to be particularly careful about getting that
first shot off. And yes, you're gonna have a little
bit more recoil. When I'm shooting at the range, I
use a pad on my shoulder. If I got to
(06:56):
shoot a whole bunch of shots out of a super
lightweight rifle, don't want to develop a flinch. And it's
not like it's a bad thing. It's just this is
just a technique you have to use with what really
any of this highly specialized shooting instrument.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Yep, yep. And like I said, it's mission purpose. It
was designed for hunters, get up the mountain, take the
shot you got to take, and get back down the mountain.
It's not meant to sit at a bench and shoot
one hundred rounds through it.
Speaker 5 (07:21):
You know.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
With a thin barrel, short barrel, a light stock. You know,
it's got a shaved receiver. It's got you know, a
hauled out bolt head. We shaved as much as we
could off this thing, but still kept its integrity of
maintaining a quality rifle with tight toleranes and headspacing and

everything that comes with it, and a good trigger that
makes a shoot out of a lightweight rifle.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Tell me about the Mini action, which is just this
tiny little bolt action that you have.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Oh well, let me tell you what. The Mini action
is a huge sellar for us. We only have so
much forduction of it. We keep trying to increase it
every year with the halifactory into the line, and we
offer that in a standard barrel, a short, little twenty
inch heavy barrel, light varmitter. They call it a heavy barrel,
but it's really like a little of a light varmitter.
A lot of guys like to shift that suppressed for
(08:16):
coyotes and deer. But you know what's nice is you
know why I was on hold listening to your intro
to your show and talking about our fifteens. You know
who shoots our mini actions? A lot guys that own
gas guns in ar fifteens. Guys that are shooting six' Five,
grendel guys that are shooting six millimeter, arc guys are
shooting two two, trees all the new twenty two. Arc
(08:40):
all those guys that have a gas gun with those
calibers like to have a short compact. Gun they could
shoot the same cartridge in a mini bolt. Gun and
that who buys a lot of our mini. Actions BUT i,
myself before we had the super, light loved it because
it was like a poor man's mountain, rifle short bolt

throw on it less than our standard short action and
it came, in you, know right at six pounds with
a standard twenty two inch. Barrel and LIKE i, said
that short bolt throw growing up In pennsylvania being a
white tail hunter all my life as a, kid If
i'd have had a, short little mini action in a
six y Five grendle to climb in a tree stand.
With that's What i'd been. Shooting that's WHAT i would

have been shooting at white tails as a kid would
have without a.

Doubt you, know this may be the modern, version a
bolt action version of the lever action thirty thirty short
light and. Handy that's.

Right, YEAH i grew up shooting a thirty thirty or
two forty three as a, kid you, know and then
next thing you were shooting a Pump remington thirty on
six like something like. That but, hindsight If i'd have
had a mini action sixty Five grendel or six, arc
it would have been the perfect white tail gun to
get in a compact tree, stand you, know or stick and,

move you, know still hunting or anything like. That but
you Know i've. SHOT i shot an antelope with a
sixty Five grendel And arizona like almost four hundred yards
and dumped. It, No SO i mean great little, cartridges
and you know still today for us and a lot
of people still six to Five creedmore and three h
eight are the top selling cartridges hands down. Still but

everybody gets kired and talking about six to five Greed
more and how great it. Is so in the mini action,
LINE i didn't feel we really had a dear caliber
if you, will two two three we had and so,
Forth but six' five grendel kind of put us into.
That category and once we, did it it took off
and it sells. Extremely well so SIX millimeter arc is

probably is one of our probably, number three number four cellars.
Right now and then You've got grendel, in there and
then now the twenty two arc that has just taken
off like wildfire In the. Mini action, All RIGHT so

they they discussed it and, they, said well we're going

About It the dobs case was relisted. Twelve times that's
the case That Reversed. Rovy Wade So mark smith From

good If The supreme court would come in, And, say

talking about shooting a bullseye target that is about the
size maybe smaller than the head of an eraser at

obficerly shooting who knows tens, of thousands hundreds of thousands,
of rounds but also just being flat out. That Good
and i've often said that the top shooters they see

often asked the top, shooters said what are you seeing
because we can kind of see what. They're doing and
they'll talk about their eyes moving ahead of you for,

gun has. To follow you can't be looking over the
top of the gun and then moving the gun to.

I go towards the other side of things. I really

like super lightweight hunting rifles because I carry them a
lot and shoot them a little bit. And man, when
I'm looking at what you guys are doing with the
mini actions and the super light you're just tearing the
world up. You might just start with, like your super
lightweight rifle.

Yep, we definitely, without a doubt, have the lightest center
fire rifle on the market. And then we took it
down even another notch in lightweight. A four pounds seven
ounce rifle with a twenty inch barrel that you sub
them away and it's under one thousand dollars retail. That's

amazing in itself. And then we took that gun and
because of the craze of suppressor shooting in popularity, we
decided to take that down to a sixteen and a
quarter inch barrel threaded for everybody to use for suppressors.

Then you have a.

Gun that starts at four pounds three ounces, shove the
m away under one thousand dollars. It's unheard of. I've
sent guns all over the country to writers and editors,
and the first thing I get from them, after they've
shot it at the range and put it through the
string of different AMMO, they call me and they tell me, Andy,

this gun's not coming back.

Period. Yeah.

I understand everybody from Ron Spohemer, Craig Bodies and all
of them. It's crazy.

And it just said me at the end voice because
you're not getting the gun back.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yeah, because they can't believe how well it shoots. And
that's everything from a six to five creed more than
three eight as well as two forty three and seven moah.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah, my mention here, I've been shooting really light rifles
for a long time and they're how to say this,
the right way shooting light rifle super light rifles is
like shooting a mini pistol. It is less forgiving. You
really have to be on your game as far as
technique to shoot it.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Well, it was absolutely right. You are absolutely right. There
is a technique to shooting a lightweight rifle like that.
From of course, putting a suppressor on it helps with
that muzzle up and so for sure, and the recoil.
But you're right because Ron Spoemer, of all people explain
that to me how he had to change his shooting
technique from shooting off bags on a bench to actually,
(06:12):
you know, holding the front you know, of the scope
down or holding the rifle down where you're shooting just
off of a bench, or Steve Comas from Safari Club
telling me, yeah, you really got to tuck that thing
in your shoulder and hold it good, you know, lean
into it. Yeah, so there's a different technique. You're absolutely right.
(06:32):
It is well worked. It it's a mission it is.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
It's especially gun and if you like I do where
I hunt, I hike a lot, I walk a lot,
and I'm on the hills and I like that lightweight rifle,
and I'll put up with the rest of it, which
means you got to be particularly careful about getting that
first shot off. And yes, you're gonna have a little
bit more recoil. When I'm shooting at the range, I
use a pad on my shoulder. If I got to
(06:56):
shoot a whole bunch of shots out of a super
lightweight rifle, don't want to develop a flinch. And it's
not like it's a bad thing. It's just this is
just a technique you have to use with what really
any of this highly specialized shooting instrument.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Yep, yep. And like I said, it's mission purpose. It
was designed for hunters, get up the mountain, take the
shot you got to take, and get back down the mountain.
It's not meant to sit at a bench and shoot
one hundred rounds through it.
Speaker 5 (07:21):
You know.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
With a thin barrel, short barrel, a light stock. You know,
it's got a shaved receiver. It's got you know, a
hauled out bolt head. We shaved as much as we
could off this thing, but still kept its integrity of
maintaining a quality rifle with tight toleranes and headspacing and

everything that comes with it, and a good trigger that
makes a shoot out of a lightweight rifle.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Tell me about the Mini action, which is just this
tiny little bolt action that you have.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Oh well, let me tell you what. The Mini action
is a huge sellar for us. We only have so
much forduction of it. We keep trying to increase it
every year with the halifactory into the line, and we
offer that in a standard barrel, a short, little twenty
inch heavy barrel, light varmitter. They call it a heavy barrel,
but it's really like a little of a light varmitter.
A lot of guys like to shift that suppressed for

coyotes and deer. But you know what's nice is you
know why I was on hold listening to your intro
to your show and talking about our fifteens. You know
who shoots our mini actions? A lot guys that own
gas guns in ar fifteens. Guys that are shooting six' Five,
grendel guys that are shooting six millimeter, arc guys are
shooting two two, trees all the new twenty two. Arc

all those guys that have a gas gun with those
calibers like to have a short compact. Gun they could
shoot the same cartridge in a mini bolt. Gun and
that who buys a lot of our mini. Actions BUT i,
myself before we had the super, light loved it because
it was like a poor man's mountain, rifle short bolt

throw on it less than our standard short action and
it came, in you, know right at six pounds with
a standard twenty two inch. Barrel and LIKE i, said
that short bolt throw growing up In pennsylvania being a
white tail hunter all my life as a, kid If
i'd have had a, short little mini action in a
six y Five grendle to climb in a tree stand.
With that's What i'd been. Shooting that's WHAT i would

have been shooting at white tails as a kid would
have without a.

six like something like. That but, hindsight If i'd have
had a mini action sixty Five grendel or six, arc
it would have been the perfect white tail gun to
get in a compact tree, stand you, know or stick and,

move you, know still hunting or anything like. That but
you Know i've. SHOT i shot an antelope with a
sixty Five grendel And arizona like almost four hundred yards
and dumped. It, No SO i mean great little, cartridges
and you know still today for us and a lot
of people still six to Five creedmore and three h
eight are the top selling cartridges hands down. Still but

everybody gets kired and talking about six to five Greed
more and how great it. Is so in the mini action,
LINE i didn't feel we really had a dear caliber
if you, will two two three we had and so,
Forth but six' five grendel kind of put us into.
That category and once we, did it it took off
