Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is our last hour, so you may want to
jump in, but else want to tell you I'm going
to keep on going off the air at the end
of the hour as we go into the next show.
So I'll explain all that to you. But right now,
top of the hour, best times to call eight hundred
and five two zero one, five three four. Welcome to
handle on the law marginal legal advice, where I tell

(00:22):
you you have absolutely no case interesting issue of.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Protecting miners from pornography.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
This has been going on actually ever since the world
of porn, either in film or television or cable or
on the Internet, because that's when it exploded, because how
do you keep miners from viewing porn on the Internet,
And there's really no way to check who goes on
the Internet. So nineteen states have pass laws that pornography

(00:58):
websites must confirm a user's age before allowing them to
view adult contact porno content, either by uploading a photo
of their government issued ID or allowing their faces to
be scanned, and then through the Internet and data mining,
they can figure out exactly who you are, how old
you are, etc. And there was a lawsuit filed by

(01:23):
the Free Speech Coalition which is a nonprofit First Amendment
organization that is attacking that law, and the Supreme Court
just heard it. And the argument is that protecting miners
from harmful effects from pornography, which is legitimate because they

(01:43):
do know that miners have a problem. There has been
studies out there that underage viewers suffer from increased misogyny,
sexual aggression, mental health issues, unsafe sex, and Okay, but
checking to see if they are adults or they're over

(02:04):
eighteen really doesn't work because it undermines the rights of
adults who use these sites. Well, how is that possible
if it's only about minors. Well, the Free Speech Coalition
says it chills First Amendment, it chills the ability of
adults to go online, which I don't know quite that is.
And so now you have this free speech coalition up

(02:27):
against these states. And Amy Cony Barrett, one of the
more conservative justice said in her questioning, wait a minute,
adults have to show ID in order to enter a
movie theater or display pornographic movies. How is.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Age of verification laws any different?

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Well, the argument is showing your idea at a movie
theater is very different than showing your face or ID.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
On the Internet because that.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Stays forever, and you are susceptible to anybody looking at
you and looking you up. And therefore, here you have
an adult who wants to view pornography, and all of
a sudden there is data mining, and now the police
or anybody has you adult checking into an Internet site

(03:24):
that's pornographic, and therefore it chills your ability to It's
the first Amendment violation. They're making it more difficult for
you owner is burdensome.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Well, we'll see what happens on that one.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
We've got a court, and I believe this court is
conservative enough to say, yeah, we're gonna protect miners, because
protecting miners is kind of a good thing, but doing
it this way, I don't know. The other argument is
you go on the black web, on black sites and
guess what you're gonna go on there? Anyway, there's VPN

(03:57):
virtual private networks where your idea isn't shown at all,
So there's plenty of ways around that. That's one of
the other issues, saying you can have all the laws
you want, but it doesn't do anything. So we'll see
what happens with the court. All right, let's quickly grab
a phone call or two and let's do it. I
mean some people been waiting a while. Greg.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Let's start with you.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Welcome, Hi Bill.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Yeah, we got a question. I bought a gift card
for two hundred dollars a couple of days ago. I
scratched off the back and seemed like it's been compromised.
I don't know how they do it, but the thieves.
What they did was I called and complained about it,
and they the people said that it's already been cashed,

(04:46):
and what I need to do is file a police report.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Yeah, you got to do all of that. Yeah, what's
your question?

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Yeah, I wanted to ask you. Is it worth doing that?

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:56):
You can try.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
I mean you could.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
It doesn't hurt.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
It doesn't hurt. You're no far, You're no further in
trouble or further compromise yourself losing two hundred bucks. Then
you would if you didn't file it. But this is
one of the scams that are out there. They go
into they have these scanning machines and they scan those
cards and they get the numbers and it is and
when you go on the internet, all you do is

(05:20):
put in the numbers and you buy stuff or you cash,
or it's just it's a real scam situation, and they
do it right at the top. I'll tell you what
I do if I buy a gift card, is I
do it right at the counter where they can see it,
so it's more difficult for a scammer is to bring
a scanner along. Or you have all the gift cards

(05:44):
that are lined up with those kiosks that those those
end caps that show that you have all these cards
put in in order on and they're put on these racks.
If I'm getting a gift card, I go to the
I go, yeah, I go to the very back end
and pick up one of card.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Now where do you bought the card?

Speaker 3 (06:05):
I bought the card physically at the von.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yeah, I understand you.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
And you did you take the first one there on
the rack?

Speaker 3 (06:13):
It was the last one left? She said for.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Me, oh last one? Yeah, yeah, you probably got screwed. Yeah,
there's it's not easy on that one. Put in the
police report and see at least if the company will
reimburse your money. Some do because it's you know a
question of pr if they're known to do that. But
you know, if you've been scammed, they've been scammed. Everybody

(06:37):
has been scammed. Melissa, Hi Melissa, welcome, Hi Bill, Let's
get jump the speaker.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Yeah, that would be good.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
I hope I don't lose you.

Speaker 5 (06:49):
I'm on the great one on the five.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
But anyway, So I have a property question. My dad's
parents bought property a long time ago, and we have
a company who's interested in trying to find mineral right
you know, minerals like oil, gas, water. Yeah, my dad
was friends with a rancher's it's landlocked. It's in the
middle of a ranch. He was friends with the rancher.

Speaker 7 (07:13):
We just have.

Speaker 6 (07:14):
Access to it back in the day, and so we
want to go get up there, but the ranchers passed
on the kids don't want us on the property we've
offered them suit.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
No, no, no no. If the only way you can
get to your property is through their property, you have
a right right. You've got an easement, okay, whether they
like it or not, because otherwise you don't have access
to your property.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Correct.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Oh, yeah, so you have an easy you.

Speaker 6 (07:41):
Would have to pay. We pay for the easement and
we wouldn't be subject to like owing them anything if
we did find the water, oil, whatever.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Well, no, on your property.

Speaker 8 (07:51):
No.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Oh, you're saying, if you do get the easement, which
you will get, and you and and property or oil
or whatever is found under your property, You're you're asking
if they could get money for that, correct, right, Okay?

Speaker 2 (08:04):
No, The answer though the answer is no. The answer
is no.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Okay, yeah, and you want to talk to a real
estate lawyer on that one, because you're gonna probably have
to file and get a court order because otherwise they
just walk off their land.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
They just put a fence across their land exactly, and
you can't get into it and you can't landlock.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
People like that not allowed to, especially when the previous
property owner let you go back and forth. I mean
you you actually have an Eastman already. Uh Now, it's
just in terms of determining it and putting it on paper,
which a court will do.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
So you're fine.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
That's interesting because it could be a dirt road.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Yeah, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
It doesn't matter.

Speaker 6 (08:44):
Yeah, we would just say, okay, that sounds good.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Usually it is adult dirt road easeman. Janet, you're up, welcome.

Speaker 8 (08:52):
Hi.

Speaker 9 (08:53):
I want to know about those forums that they make
you sign, you know, when you go to the doctor.
The dentist. Now they're strictly electronics, so that you can't
make any changes to it or anything. Well, I wanted
the gal to print it out for me because I
wanted to cross some things out that I didn't agree to,

(09:13):
you know, And she said they couldn't do that, and
I says, well, I'm not going to sign it this way.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Okay, then you go to another doctor. That's easy exactly.

Speaker 9 (09:21):
But but then then she says, well, we can't treat you.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
I said, that's fine, yeah, okay, so all right, now
what's your question, Janet?

Speaker 9 (09:30):
The question is, then they sent me a bill because
I didn't cancel will be appointment. But that's boloney.

Speaker 7 (09:36):
I was there.

Speaker 9 (09:37):
Okay, you know there's if you don't cancel in forty
I understand.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
So how much did they send you a bill for.

Speaker 9 (09:42):
Three hundred dollars? Well, don't pay it, to pay it.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Don't pay it, okay, that's it.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Let him sue you, and then you give them that
and just say I just didn't want to sign the forum.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
I wanted to make some changes.

Speaker 8 (09:55):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
You're allowed to do that.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Oh and they canceled because I had an appointment. No, no, no, no, no, no,
it doesn't work that way. You're fine. If they're crazy
enough to sue you, you'll be just fine. On the
other side, are they going to go after your credit?
That is another issue unfortunately. Morris, Hi, Morris welcome, Yes.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
Good morning. I was involved in a sender Bitner vehicle
accident about five years ago. I'm been shured with Mercury
and also Lloyd's of London. At any rate, it was
got to the point where, wait on.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
A minute, why would wait, wait wait, I understand Mercury.
I am insured by Mercury.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
I haven't liked them a lot.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
But where was Lloyd's of London involved here?

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Well, I transport high pressure GAT cylinder.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Okay, so Lloyd's cover certain parts of that because it's
very high risk. Okay, I understand that's correct.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
For those people that don't know what Lloyd's is, Lloyd's
is a British company that a syndicate puts together. It's
really interesting how it works in terms of insurance. But
if you can't get insurance anywhere else, you go to
Lloyd's and it is insanely expensive, but at least you
have coverage. Okay, I understand that now, Okay, so go ahead, Morris.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
So anyway, Mercury, after the accident, sends me a letter
two months later that the plaintiff's law firm is claiming
heavy injury and they won't ask me for permission to
disclose the amounts of the policy. And I said no.
And the reason for it being was Mercury, my liability

(11:31):
is one million, seven billion. Okay, So they found out
the heavy amounts of shirts that I carry and now
they said this individual to several doctors share.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yeah, they always do. And if it was a fender bender,
I don't think you have much to worry about. Yeah,
what's going on here is that you have insane amounts
of insurance and Morris, it doesn't matter because literally a
fender bender and what are they claiming a million and
a half dollars damages?

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (12:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Or is the guy paaraplegic?

Speaker 4 (12:05):
Now no, there was no injuries.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Well, okay, then you're done. Then you don't worry about it, Morris,
you've done well.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
The issue The issue was I had to go for
when it call it for deposition?

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Yeah, all right, so you are to a f deposition,
so big deal.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Now what I went? I went for a deposition and
I told the lawyer, I'm only going to answer the
questions related to the accident itself, okay. And it says
if we ask you questions you don't respond, there's gonna
be sanctions of the court.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
There won't be sanctions, Morris, there won't be sanctions. What
will happen is they'll make a motion and a judge
will say, yeah, you have to answer questions, and then you.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Answer the questions. That's all.

Speaker 8 (12:47):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
And you should have a lawyer there from the insurance
company representing you because you ask for it, because part
of your insurance is a lawyer represents you. You're not
paying just for liability to write it for the insurance
company to write a check. You simply say to your
insurance company, I've been asked to a deposed to be deposed,
I want a lawyer.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
Well, any rate, when we I went to the deposition.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
As you went to the deposition by yourself, right.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Yes, yeah, okay? The lawyer all right, so all right,
so what's your question you wouldn't answer? They said, uh,
what are they to do? They're gonna put you in jail.
You're to go in jail for twenty five years. They're
gonna give you the death penalty if you don't answer
the questions.

Speaker 4 (13:30):
Come on, they're asking me a questions such as the
weight of the cylinders.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
Well, that's legitimates, that's legitimate.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
That's a legitimate question.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
And also a portion registration.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
That's legitimate, that's legitimate. Well any rate, Let me ask
you something, Morris, how do you determine what's relevant or
not in a lawsuit? How have you decided what's relevant
to the lawsuit? I?

Speaker 4 (14:02):
Well, obviously I don't know.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
That's correct. You don't know. You have no idea what's
relevant and what isn't.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
So and Mercury went to and settle the case.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Okay, all right, So they settle the case for how
much money?

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Almost twenty thousands?

Speaker 1 (14:17):
Okay, they got twenty grand, which is a lot of
money for a fender bender, but so be it.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
All right, So what's your question?

Speaker 4 (14:23):
Okay, my question too, is I sent the legs of
las angles Curry District Attorney's Insurance fuad you knowing the
for possible investigations okay, insurance blade. Yeah, and they never responded.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Yeah, they're not going to either, Morris.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
So it's a racket. Then with the insurance it can be.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
It can be. Yeah, but it's not your problem. It's
the insurance company's problem, not yours.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Yeah that's the way it goes, and it pisses people off.
But yeah, it is a racket. And what you had
is you had a bunch of lawyers who saw an
insane amount of insurance who said, Okay, we're going to
go to court and in a one in one thousand case,
we're gonna get a zillion dollars. And Mercury says, you
know what, it's cheaper for us to write a check

(15:11):
for twenty grand than it is to defend the case.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Here's your twenty thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Is it a racket, sure, but it's a business decision.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
You know, when I had my business, I was sued
and for ridiculous reasons, and the insurance company said, yeah,
you know, we're gonna.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
Give him five thousand dollars to go away, and they did.

Speaker 10 (15:35):
So.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Yeah, I have no, you have absolutely no. Say you
give all your rights to the insurance company. Yep, I
wanted to hear that, didn't you. Now let me tell
talking about business, the less your business spends on delivering
your product or service, the more margin you have, the
more money you make, more money you keep. And look

(15:58):
at the price of everything these days. I just want
to buy a dozen eggs. I mean, I asked the
clerk there, does this include cocaine? And the price is insane.

(17:33):
hello Mario.

Speaker 5 (17:36):
So a quick question. I took in ten thousand dollars
in cash from a customer, dropped it in the safe.
The business manager told me that there was only seven
thousand dollars from there, so I can't I knew I

(17:58):
dropped the whole ten, but I said, okay, well what
are we going to do? And next thing I know,
they just kind of shrugged it off. Then I got
fired from my employer. Okay, so it's just kind of weird. Yeah,
it's just kind of weird. And it was in front

(18:20):
of the whole department.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Yeah, that's that is That's a tough one.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Okay. Uh why I don't know why they would fire
you in front of the whole uh department.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
So what's your question?

Speaker 5 (18:32):
My question is is that defamation?

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Yeah? I think it is, well, if you were fired
because you have been accused of taking money, Yeah, I
think that's defamation.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
Well no, they the reason pretermination. They said, it's just
not working out.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
That's no, then that's not defamation.

Speaker 5 (18:55):
So I so I said, what what happened to that
money that was missing? And she says, oh, that was
a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Yeah, and that's enough defamation.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
You're never going to be able to prove and it
was because of the money, especially how long How long
a period of time between money being gone and the firing.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
It was about a month.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
Oh well, I mean that's pretty close.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
But no, they're going to say it just wasn't working out.
You're going no place with that. There is no defamation
except not legally. I mean, there probably was defamation, but
you're never going to be ever going to be able
to prove it. Onwards, Enough words, new job, Dave, Hello Dave,
good morning. Yeah, I'll cut to the chase.

Speaker 8 (19:36):
This has to do with my wife being the executor
for her ancient mother's estate. Granny is losing her marbles
and Granny has recognized the inequity of the distribution of
this ancient will. So I guess the question is does

(19:58):
the executor have any no.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
No, no, no, nope, nope, nope, the executor.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
The only thing the executor can.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
Do, especially if old lady Granny is doesn't have her marbles,
as you say, then the executor can't.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Make her decision for her.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
I can't decide this is where you want this is
where I'm going to change the will to where you
want it. And the only thing that a court could
rely on is the old will inequity or not. Yeah,
that's it.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
So who's ever got screwed as a beneficiary got screwed
as a beneficiary because grandma wrote it when she was
lucid and it's her money. Yeah, so yeah, people forget
that all the time. I get those questions all the
time about you know, it's not fair and you know

(20:58):
my inheritance and being screwed out of it, and.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
It's I got you.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
The bottom line is it's not your money. And the
person that is leaving money or leaving it to a
trust or in a will can always change his or
her mind.

Speaker 8 (21:15):
You know.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Oh there's she's I want to fight it. No, no,
especially in this case.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
All right now, I'm seeing uh uh Ronnie hi Ronnie,
Hey Bill.

Speaker 10 (21:31):
Yeah, looking for your excellent advice at my stupid two
part question. Okay, what's happened is I have a high
powered neighbor that lives next door to me. He's an
assistant district attorney, and he doesn't like my behavior. He
said he was going to get an injunction against me.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Okay, so what's your behavior?

Speaker 10 (21:51):
Oh? I use my leash blower once a week. I
barbecue once or twice a week. I play my radio
in the back. I'm seventy years old.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yeah that doesn't matter.

Speaker 10 (22:02):
I swim naked in my pool. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
So let me ask you. Okay, let me ask you
when you swim? Is it cheek side up?

Speaker 1 (22:14):
You do the backstroke or no, excuse me, that's a backstroke?
Is schwantz side up? Cheek side up? Is your normal
crawl or your best breaststroke?

Speaker 2 (22:25):
Which way do you swim?

Speaker 1 (22:27):
I'm twirling, so you're twirling, so you get it both?

Speaker 4 (22:30):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (22:31):
Okay, yeah, no, that's great. But that's great and so okay,
so let me ask you.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Your neighbor has a two story house, yes okay, and
is arguing that he can look down and see you naked. Correct, Yeah, okay,
so what's Andy's threatening an injunction and the barbecue and
the leaf blower, and so what's your question? What?

Speaker 10 (22:56):
Okay, this is a stupid part.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
What I you in court?

Speaker 2 (22:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (23:00):
And with an injunction?

Speaker 1 (23:02):
An injunction would be a court telling you you can't
do that. You cannot swim naked, you cannot use your
leaf blower, you cannot barbecue. And what do you think
the chances are of him a court saying you can't barbecue.
Everybody else can, but you can't. And you can't swim

(23:22):
naked in your backyard. And there's a fence. And if
he has a problem with it, don't look out the window.

Speaker 10 (23:29):
There's six foot wall with THREEE on top of it.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
You're fine, You're fine.

Speaker 10 (23:35):
Well, here's the second part. My wife and I were
barbecuing two nights ago, and it was seven o'clock at night,
and we had the radio one and we're in our
backyard patio dancing with barbecuing. Right. He yelled over the
wall that he was going to make problems for me.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Yeah, let him try. The fact that he in DA
means nothing. I'll tell you that right now, because it's
only criminal. So all he can do is go to
court and file an injunction, and it's so ridiculous that
you have to.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
Answer whatever injunction is.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
You have to show up and the court is going
to judge going to look at him and go, you
are out of your mind. And if you hire a lawyer,
by the way to fight it, you'll ask for attorney's
fees and the judge will give it to you that
he has to pay your attorney's fees.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
That's how stupid his case is.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
Unless he is arguing that the radio let's free, barbecuing,
he can't do a damn thing.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Dancing, he can't do anything. You swimming naked, he can't
do anything.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Now, radio being too loud, that's a different issue.

Speaker 10 (24:41):
No, it's not last at all.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
Then you're fine.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Then you're fine.

Speaker 10 (24:45):
But okay, here's the second part. Could or would it
be worthwhile? My wife wants me to do. This is
to call down to the district attorney and say, this
guy's harassing me.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
No.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
Yeah, well no, no, it's not because they won't do anything.
You know, it doesn't hurt.

Speaker 10 (25:02):
I have no proof of anything.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Yeah, yeah, wait till he wait till he files an
injunction against you. In the meantime, he's just blowing smoke
as you are with your barbecue. But you are legitimately
blowing smoke. He is, he's been blowing fake smoke.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
You're fine. Just say i'll see it. You're there was
a perfect answer you gave him.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
I'll see you in court. Go ahead and file it.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
I'm sure you're fine. I wouldn't worry about it. It's
a good question. That's fun. Why I guess he's offended
that someone swims naked. Just don't look.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
Just don't look. You know, it's the side of the house,
you know, pull down the shades. I mean, I have
a neighbor that always pulls down shades.

Speaker 7 (25:40):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
And you know I can do whatever the hell I want. No,
I don't swim naked because anybody who sees me I
don't particularly like me laughed at now because that has
a whole self esteem issue. But that's between me and
my shrink. Uh.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Let me talk about you and pain that you may have.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
If you're in chronic pain and that's pain all the time,
you know what I'm talking about, or you know someone
who does. Let me suggest the Pain Game podcast because
the podcast is about your pain. Or someone you love.
It is tough being in chronic pain.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
It's twenty four to seven. It could be debilitating. And
that's what this podcast is about.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
The host, Lindsey Soprano, who I know very well, suffers
from chronic pain twenty four to seven. And boy does
she know this stuff. And every message, every episode ends
with a message of hope. Her guests have lived with,
or dealt with, or treated people in chronic pain. And boy,
you get to learn a whole lot and you know,
maybe being helped for this because a lot of people are.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
So wherever you.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
Hello Eric, welcome.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
Hey, how you doing?

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Yes, sir, what can I do for you?

Speaker 7 (26:55):
Hey? I was in Walmart about three weeks ago, and uh,
I went into a cashier's line. This is Incino heels
and uh. The cash registered lady was Asian and uh.
When I jumped in line, she said, do I have
what do I'm paying with?

Speaker 8 (27:14):
Do I have a card?

Speaker 7 (27:16):
Because they're only taking cards here in this line. So
I told her, no, I'm paying cats. So I jumped
in the other line. I jumped in the behind the
line with another Filipino guy, and she touched him and
told him to come in the line and.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
She hold on, She texted him, is that what you said?

Speaker 8 (27:36):
She touched?

Speaker 1 (27:37):
She touched Oh, she touched him and.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Said, okay, hold on.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
She touched him and said what I'm a little confused,
So we have to get this straight.

Speaker 7 (27:44):
She said, uh, you know, she just touched him and
he looked at her and he jumped in the line
where she was.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
Okay, what does that mean? He jumped in the line.
He got into the line right?

Speaker 7 (27:56):
Well, he went, yeah, he went around me and went
to her line, and because I jumped in another line next, okay, okay,
And he took and he took, and she wants to
see if he was given her cash or a car,
and he gave her a cash and then she jumped
out of the line. When she's seeing me see it

(28:17):
and uh, I to ask me I could get oh,
you could get in my line? And I said no,
that's okay, I'll stay on this line. And then a
couple of other people seeing it on what happened and okay,
that wasn't right?

Speaker 8 (28:29):
Okay, what should I do about that?

Speaker 2 (28:30):
What should you do? Well? You can shop somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
But if you think there's any legal recourse here, how
have you been damaged?

Speaker 7 (28:40):
Well, I think about it, because you think about it.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
So there's your damage. I think about it. How much
is that worth?

Speaker 8 (28:47):
Right?

Speaker 2 (28:47):
How much is that worth?

Speaker 8 (28:48):
You?

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Thinking about it? H?

Speaker 8 (28:51):
Well, I don't well I don't. It just bothers it.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Yeah, I understand what that. But all you can do
is sue for money?

Speaker 8 (28:57):
Eric, right, right, Yeah, that's all you can do.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
I mean you can, you can, you know, certainly file
for an injunction that it doesn't happen again.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
And will the court pay attention?

Speaker 1 (29:07):
No, not at all.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
So you're gonna sue for money.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
How much is it worth that? Now you're thinking about it,
what do you think that's worth? Well, I don't know, No,
think about it because you have to sue from there
has to be in a mound a million, a million.
You know what I got to tell you. You know,
as strange as it sounds, by the way, I'm going

(29:31):
to tell you something that is surprising.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Okay, there are a.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Couple of cases just like this, dealing with not necessarily Walmart,
but dealing with lines in retail areas that showed that
kind of discrimination. You touch a person who is Asian
and then they go into line and you get so
upset that you think about it and it really, you know,

(29:56):
really makes you emotionally distraught. Over a million dollars, by
the way, over a million dollars have been given to
people in that position. You, strangely enough, have an excellent case.
So I'm just trying to think what lawyer would pick
that up, because there'd be a lot of lawyers interested
in this, a lot of them. Yeah, yeah, no, I understand,

(30:19):
you know, and they would go for a lot more
than a million dollars too, because these tend to be
massive cases. Okay, you know what, do me a favor.
I can't think of a lawyer right now. Give me
a buzz next week and I'll have a lawyer for you. Okay, okay,
all right, good for you.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Yeah, we're gonna both. You're gonna make a ton of
money on this one. I guarantee it.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Good for you.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Yeah, I know you're good.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
You're good at least a million dollars. All right, Before
we end the show, a little bit about your bad
breath and what happens when people breathe it in and
you can just see them reeling or the other way around.
You know their breath is horrible and you keel over.
So let me tell you about Zelman's Minty Mouthmen. Selman's

(31:07):
minty mouth Mint's. They call them a mint, but oh
way beyond that. I mean they're mint because these little
capsules that you had the mint around them, and you
swallow them and you stuck on the mint, and then
when that part is gone, you swallow them or you
bite into them, and the parsley seed oil goes right
into your stomach where it goes to work because a

(31:27):
lot of bad breath starts and stays in your stomach
and then comes out.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
And no other mint ido of handles this whatsoever.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
That's Zelman's Minty Mouthmen's clinically tested even against garlic and onions.
You can believe that Zelman's Minty Mouthmen's obviously a big fan.
So here's their offer until the end of the month.
If you order a three pack or more, you'll get
fifteen percent off your order fifteen percent off if you
order a three pack or more. Go to zelm dot

(32:00):
com z that's zelmans dot com slash kf I Z
E l M I N S dot com slash kf
i uh fifteen percent off Zelmans dot com slash kfi. Also,
for those of you that are on hold, stay put
because I'll get to your phone calls after the show

(32:20):
off the air, and if you want to call in,
you can jump right in because there are no breaks. Uh,
there're no there's no news, there is no weather. Uh,
there are no commercials and no patients on my part,
so you can imagine the calls go.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
Through pretty quickly.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
