Cafodd ei fagu yng Nghwmfelin Mynach yn Sir Gaerfyrddin. Mae bellach yn byw yng Nghaernarfon, Gwynedd.
Graddiodd mewn newyddiaduraeth ym Mhrifysgol Sheffield , a bu'n athro ysgol gynradd yn y gogledd am sawl blwyddyn, cyn mentro o ddifri i'r byd perfformio.
Mae'r Welsh Whisperer bellach yn wyneb cyfarwydd ar y teledu, yn perfformio canu gwlad mewn gwyliau cerddorol ac yn denu niferoedd i neuaddau pentref ar hyd y wlad.
Mae'n cyflwyno cyfres o bodlediadau newydd ' Y Byd yn Grwn' sy'n rhoi cipolwg y tu ôl i'r llenni ar glybiau pêl-droed llawr gwlad a'r gwirfoddolwyr allweddol sy'n eu rhedeg.
