Not a god. You've got to lower lower your expectations.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Hard to believe he could once send a.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Fastball to get some bucky jacobs and vibes and former
I'll just openly admit I'm a fat, out of shape
X athlete.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
Now there's been a noticeable spike in your blood pressure.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
A five seven guard and a former college water polo

Speaker 5 (00:33):
There's a lot of useless crap up here.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Wow, this is Chuck and Buck in the Morning with
Ashley Ryan. What to you buy to Latok Casino Resort
and Quilse the Greek Drafkini sports book where the action
never stopped you.

Speaker 6 (01:05):
Well, great Monday morning to you all. Welcome into the
radio program. It is Chucking Back in the Morning Sports
Radio ninety three point three KJRFM. If you're wondering, weren't
these guys on just like fifteen minutes ago, Yes, we were,
and yet we are back for more because we've got
more Mariners to talk about here today, plus Seahawks, plus
crack and plus Usky's Oh my gosh, what a weekend

(01:28):
here in Seattle. But mainly we will be focusing on
those Seattle Mariners who not only since last we spoke
one on Sunday to go up one to zero in
the American League Championship Series, we haven't even done a
show since Friday night, the incredible finish to the American

(01:49):
League Divisional Series, and so we will tap into all
of it. Good morning to you all. Ashley Ryan is here,
Bucky Jacobson us here. My name is Chuck Powell. This
is Chucking Buck in the mornings. We'll take it till
ten o'clock and coming up in a little bit we'll
tell you what's on tap for our four hours together
here this morning.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
How you feeling my game?

Speaker 2 (02:08):
I feel great? Yeah, yeah, I mean it's a very
good weekend. Oh boy, I'll say the fifteen inning game,
what ridiculous? And then yeah, just might as well cap
that off with since we're gonna be here, might as
well go ahead and travel to Toronto and whoop them

(02:29):
once real quick.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
Ashley, how you feeling great? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (02:33):
Yesterday I was. It felt like the longest day ever.
Before five o'clock, I just counting down. At one point
I started watching Real Housewives of Orange County just to
try to kill some time. To my friend, I was like,
I feel like I've been watching it for eleven hours
and it had only been thirty five minutes. I was like,
oh my god, you know you could have done football.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Well.

Speaker 7 (02:50):
I had that on a like I had Red Zone
on another TV. But I just couldn't concentrate enough, and
so I was like, I'll watch something frivolous and silly
and that'll something that'll.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Really lock killed some time. It didn't didn't help at all.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
Helped.

Speaker 6 (03:04):
Ah, Wow, what a what a weekend, There's no question
about it. And we'll get into Game one here in
a moment, just but just a little bit of time
on Friday night, because that's gonna be one of the
most memorable games in the history of Seattle sports. Yeah,
and I mean they were calling it instant classic, all

(03:24):
sorts of things. I'll say this, I felt like a
dish rag at the end of the night, just kept
feeling like I was.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Getting rung out and then just hung out to dry
and then had to be used again and then.

Speaker 6 (03:36):
Just started the process all over with. I mean, fifteen
innings of just excruciating like on the edge of your
seat kind of baseball where you were fearful for you know,
several innings and you know, two hours, you were fearful
that one Tiger at that was gonna change the outcome,

(03:57):
and then hopeful that one just one Mariner coming through
for inning after inning, at bad after it bat was
gonna finish off the week, finish off the series in
just this extraordinary, jubilant moment, and eventually, after fifteen innings
we finally got it. But five hours of baseball on Friday,

(04:20):
fifteen innings, and I'll say this, man, that crowd was
about as impressive as any crowd at any sporting event
in the history of mankind, because the energy was just
jumping out of that stadium and it never really dissipated.
I mean it was just I mean standing almost the

(04:42):
entire game, I mean, reacting the way that you want
a crowd to react. It was really impressive and so
nice showing Seattle, nice showing Mariners, fans.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
And look, when you're playing fifteen innings and.

Speaker 6 (04:57):
One play goes one way or the other, oh yeah,
a crowd, a home crowd, a fan base can be
the difference in a game like that.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
And I wonder if it.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Was, it must certainly helped. I mean, there's just so
many little things that went on in that game that
were like instrumental in how the ebbs and flows went right.
I mean something, not all of them good necessarily. The crowd,
on the other hand, didn't. They never wavered. You'll you'll
see a crowd be into a game. We saw it

(05:27):
last night. You'll see a crowd first pitch boom home
or they're into it, and then you can kind of
quiet them down with good pitching. We would see our
team put the you know, maybe put themselves in position
to walk this thing off, and then fail in the moment,
not come through and not get it done, and you
would think, oh man, how many times can I do
this before the collective rag gets wrung out to the

(05:51):
point of like, okay, I'm just tir are we going
to do this or not? They never wavered. They just
kind of continued to kind of push and pull and eventually,
to some degree, kind of pulled the Mariners across the
finish line. I think that there's a lot to me,
there's a to me, the beautiful thing, the most beautiful
thing about being a fan in sports is the opportunity

(06:14):
to have that feeling, the whole thing, the whole You
let game one go and then you come back and
eaven it up, and then you you win game three,
and then you have falter when you could have clinched it,
but you get to come home and then it's you
know you, you you, you find yourself up and then
Carrie Carpenter does that thing and then you you answer

(06:35):
right back and tie it up and then you go
extra and it's that whole emotional turmoil that you're put
through when you're just sitting there kind of with a
lot hanging in the balance emotionally for you. And I
just don't think there's any other fan base across sports
that has this same type of love affair with a
team that has constantly hurt them, and yet the team

(06:56):
feels it that this man is very cup it is
very cub like you're right with the whole curse and whatnot.
They finally overcame that and think about how how much
sweeter it was. Now. Not that you want to go
through torture, because then when you find something good, it
makes you feel even better. But if you were forced
to go through torture, which we have been. It's that

(07:17):
much sweeter when you all of a sudden win it
so to me, Uh it was. It was poetic almost.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
It was exhausting but amazing.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
So we haven't even talked to you since.

Speaker 6 (07:28):
Bucket and I've seen each other like a thousand times
since Friday.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (07:31):
No, it was so five Iron and Palmer the Great
and I went to the game.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
We got down there. I think we got in our
seats an hour ahead of the game.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
I want them to wear named tad.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
I'm gonna make them.

Speaker 7 (07:43):
Yeah, and we were just sitting there again it was like,
oh my gosh, how how long is this hour gonna take?
I had two drinks before the game started because I
was so nervous, then only one other drink after I
was done. But I was like, I just need to
get these. I'm like just stressed out, stressed out. And
then it was like then the things start and you're excited.
And I just remember as the game was going on

(08:07):
and we got into the extra innings, I didn't I
wasn't even paying attention to what inning it was.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
It was just okay, Detroit's up, Okay, we're up. Okay,
Detroit's up.

Speaker 7 (08:16):
And you were just kind of following this formula of okay,
great pitching, Yes, here we go, offense is gonna pull through.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Now, Okay, the didn't, and then everyone.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Would at least they didn't get two guys on every
inning for like several innings in a row and look
like they were gonna score.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Oh wait, yeah no, that would have. That would have yeah,
get us all excited thinking it was gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, didn't happen.

Speaker 7 (08:41):
Exhaust and then we'd we'd hug when we'd get a hit.
Palmer and I would hug, and then five Iron was like,
we're only high fiving if they score. That's it, not
high fighting for anything else. Meanwhile, Palmer the Great and I,
we're high fiving, we're hugging. She's already cried three times,
and and it's like, but in between every inning, I
just remember being like you could feel everyone kind of

(09:02):
go okay, and then we'd all sit down for a second. Yeah,
and then they'd play some songs started all over and
all get up and we're screaming at the top of
our lungs. You gotta fight for your right to party
and journey, don't stop believing, and all the songs are
playing and you're like, yeah, no, we can do this.
We're not exhausted. I haven't been up since four This

(09:23):
is great, But I wouldn't have changed any of it. Oh,
it was phenomenal. I said last week we needed a
new Alds moment and we got it.

Speaker 6 (09:32):
Yeah, you definitely got it. I mean that entire game
just incredible. But yes, Mariners do win the American League
Divisional Series. It was a party Friday night. Took fifteen
innings to do it. And then they get ready for
the American League Championship Series. You play game number one
before you even get through the weekend. So on a
plane to Toronto and then a win three to one

(09:55):
last night over the over the Jays to go up one. Oh,
and the best of seven round the American League Championship Series.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
And I keep seeing Bucky.

Speaker 6 (10:04):
Everybody's saying that the Mariners stole Game one. I just
don't see it that way. I mean that suggests that they,
you know, they kind of snuck in the back door,
or you know, just stole a pie off the window
sill and took off running to eat it across the meadow.
To me, the Mariners are the better team on paper,

(10:28):
I don't care if the Blue Jays have a better record.
I don't care if they have home field advantage. We
match up really well with this team. I wasn't surprised
in the slightest by last night's result, even though they
had their ace and we had Bryce Miller. I'm I mean, yeah,
maybe I wouldn't have, you know, bet the house on
us winning, but I'm certainly not surprised. I don't look
at it as we stole it. I look at it

(10:50):
as we got invited into the house. We said hello,
We went and grabbed our own beer. You know, we
sat in their chair, in dad's chair. We grabbed the
remote and changed it to a channel we wanted to watch.
I think we went in their front door and just
took it from them. I mean, I guess that's stealing,
I suppose, but it just kind of makes it feel like, oh,

(11:12):
we snucked that one out.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Now.

Speaker 6 (11:13):
I think the better team outplayed the host in game
number one, and I kind of expect more of the
same to come.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Yeah, I mean, I don't feel like it was a steal,
like some crazy upset. If anybody's mean it like that,
I mean the fact that you were coming off a
big game, you know, an emotional game, you didn't have
the rest. You were going on the road against a
team that had a better season statistically as far as
wins and losses go. I guess yeah, I mean if

(11:43):
you I mean they had the best they were the
number one seed, they had the best record in the
American League. So I guess if you're just looking at
it at that level, then sure you could say that.
I suppose I'm not going to look at it on
that level because I feel like this Mariner team is
up for this. They're kind of designed for it. Now.
The way in which they did it with going getting

(12:06):
to throw or needing to throw Bryce Miller because they
didn't have a bunch of options based on how many
pitchers they had to use, and the fact that they
went five games in their series and not four, all
of that kind of started pointing I think towards a
lot of people. I mean, all the Hall of Fame
analysts besides a Rod were picking you know, they were
picking Toronto there. But then they were thinking, well, but

(12:28):
don't you sleep on this Mariner team. They're going to
make it a series. It's almost like some people that
haven't watched this team. Were overlooking like this one's going
to be really tough for them to win Game one
at their place. They're rest at ace that whole thing.
And yet that's not the way the baseball works. If
it is, it wouldn't be near as enjoyable if you
just said, well, they have a better pitching matchup, Okay,

(12:53):
do they? Well, obviously they didn't, because our guy went
out there. If he hasn't been our ace, and he's
pitched through a bunch of stuff that we'll get into
the course of the show, I'm sure he can pitch
just as well as Gosman can. And we saw that
yesterday in the biggest moment.

Speaker 7 (13:07):
I think we we went them to their house and
we're super polite because we gave them a home run
on the first pitch.

Speaker 5 (13:12):
Like, how much more polite can you be?

Speaker 3 (13:13):
We brought them a housewarming gift, thanks for inviting us,
here's a bottle of wine.

Speaker 8 (13:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
Then we took some time and we got comfortable, like
I was polite of us.

Speaker 6 (13:21):
Yeah, yeah, it felt with me like Bryce Miller just
went in there like, hey, if you don't mind, I'm
just gonna take a real quick shower and some pajamas,
little this chill.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Yeah, and just just to retire, you won after the other.

Speaker 6 (13:31):
Bryce Miller was fantastic last night, and the Mariners do
get the win because of that. I mean, it was
sort of pitching dominance some I wrote it down last night,
so it's a little bit from memory because I don't.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Have it in front of me.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
But what was it?

Speaker 6 (13:46):
They scored in four games thirty four runs against the Yankees,
and at fifty four hits in that series against the Yankees,
and yet here comes Bryce Miller on three days rest
and he hits allowed.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
Over six innings.

Speaker 6 (14:02):
He retired I think seventeen of the last eighteen that
he faced in the contest. The entire group retired twenty
three of the last twenty four that they faced because
the relievers came in and went to nine out of
nine or something like that. Again, I jotted this down
last night. I should have kept that. But it was dominance,
certainly from the pitchers that we threw in the game.

(14:23):
I have one not that surprised. Even Bryce himself said
I was feeling strong and I got taken out after
fifty five pitches in that Tigers game. So even though
it was three days rest, it's not like he was
taxed the day before. I mean Trek's scooble. The Tigers
decided not to go with Trek scouble on three days
rest a couple of times, but he's thrown one hundred
and ten pitches. So Bryce Felt said he felt strong

(14:46):
in that game. That he was removed in Game number
four with the lead by the way, and then he
gets the call. I'm not surprised at all that his
mentality allowed him to rise to the occasion, even after
the home run that he gave up to start the game.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
This guy's just a really good pitcher.

Speaker 6 (15:04):
I know he didn't have a very good season, but
I think mostly he was battling a lot of injuries.
I think he was trying to pitch through those injuries
at the beginning of the year, and I'm not sure
he ever did get into a rhythm.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
But both he and Logan.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
Said after Game four, that's the best I've seen Bryce
look in a really long time. And so if Bryce
Miller's on his game, make no mistake about it.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
At the end of last season, and I'm not talking about.

Speaker 6 (15:31):
The last start of last season, the last two months
of last season he was our best pitcher. You can
look up the numbers. He was our best pitcher last
year in August and September. And so this dude not
only is very talented, very good and competes like competes
like the Dickens, but he also is somebody that he

(15:52):
is just cool customer as well. So I mean, yeah,
am I surprised that Jeter and a Rod and the
desk pick Kevin Gosman at.

Speaker 3 (16:03):
Home to beat his No?

Speaker 6 (16:04):
You know, no, maybe I would have if pressed to it.
Maybe I think eight out of ten analysts probably take
the Blue Jays to win Game number one. But you
shouldn't be surprised. And if you are surprised, you don't
know Bryce Miller's makeup.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Yeah, you don't know Bryce Miller's makeup, and you can't.
I mean, it didn't irritate me when I saw what
the desk was doing, or just even how kind of
the narrative was heading the direction of it felt like
a lot of people were picking the Blue Jays definitely
in Game one. And because to me, it's like, if
you haven't watched this Mariner team, if you just looked

(16:40):
at Bryce Miller, you looked at his numbers, you're like, oh, dude,
I mean because I hear it all the time when
I'm doing the show or listening to sports talk radio.
If numbers being brought up and the numbers don't tell
the whole story. Bryce Miller is capable of going out
there and pitching like an ace. And that's saying something
because he's on the pitching staff that basically is full
of bass. And so yesterday, to me, the cool hand

(17:03):
that he kind of approaches, I think his competitive nature
with it's a little bit of a there is a
gun slinger. You've used the Clint Eastwood thing. I think
that's perfect, just kind of all right, go ahead, make
my day, let's see it. And when he wasn't feeling
real good, that's why his numbers look the way that
they have been. They that's why he ended up having
to go on the shelf. And if he was feeling

(17:26):
as good as he's felt all year, if Logan was saying, boy,
you look as good as you've looked all year, he
went out there at that moment and was like, you
know what, let's just go ahead and do what we
can do. He knew that the team was kind of spent.
As far as pitching goes, you go out there and
give it first pitch, Homer, you better settle in. It's
not one of those you know, middle of June games

(17:46):
where hey, dude, you're gonna have to wear it. We
just flat out don't have pictures. They weren't gonna do that,
and yet you didn't want to tax the pitching staff anymore.
And so he goes out, answers the bell and doesn't
just go four innings like they maybe were thinking, or
five innings, but six innings of shutout baseball or not
shut out shutout after that first home run. But I mean,

(18:06):
just an unbelievable performance by him, and then the guys
to come in after. I don't know for sure if
I felt better for an individual then gave Spire after
just a perfect ending out of him, considering how the
last two outings have went, and then Brash and Munios
do it, you know, piggyback right on top of that
and finished the deal. It was awesome.

Speaker 7 (18:23):
Yeah, it was good to see Spire especially come back
and have that because I remember on Friday too, when
he came back out, I was like, okay, here we go,
Like this is this is a good test for you.

Speaker 5 (18:32):
Can you do it and then when it gives it? Yeah,
And I was like, oh, that was rough.

Speaker 6 (18:37):
Well, one, two three last night twenty three of the
last twenty four. That's what they retired as a group, Miller, Spire,
Brash and Munios. And so three to one in the victory.
We've got a lot to discuss, a lot of different
angles to cover. But the Mariners are up one zero
and have gotten the American League Championship Series off to
a perfect start.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Let's find out what is on tap for two days show.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
What's on TEP, what's on TEP?

Speaker 6 (19:06):
Mariner's three Blue Jays on one to oer lead in
the ALCS. Ryan Healey's going to join us today at
nine o'clock to discuss that Game number two is.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Today at two pm. It'll be Logan Gilbert getting the start.
A lot of talk about there.

Speaker 6 (19:20):
We'll discuss that coming up on the show today as well.
If you didn't stay with the postgame show, you might
not have been aware of that, and so it might
come as a surprise to you since.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
He did just pitch two days ago.

Speaker 6 (19:31):
But Logan Gilbert is getting the start tonight today against
the Blue Jays and they're going with rookie. This guy
doesn't even qualify as a rookie. This is how young
this guy is. This is how inexperienced this guy is.
Trey Is Savage is going to get the start for
the Blue Jays and we'll talk more about him later
in the show as well.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
But it's a two pm start. Game number two.

Speaker 6 (19:54):
NLCS gets started tonight as well, Game number one between
the Dodgers and the Brewers.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
They'll play it in Wisconsin. That's right.

Speaker 6 (20:00):
The Brewers had the best record in Major League Baseball
this year, so they will host this series and it
will begin at five o'clock. Seahawks twenty to twelve over
the Jacksonville Jaguars. And yes, this was a nice win
for Mike McDonald, what a bounce back for the defense,
Jackson Smith and Jigma continues to grow as one of
the best wide receivers in the National Football League.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
And we are not gonna short change it.

Speaker 6 (20:25):
I mean, we're not gonna go full two hours today
with our baseball team in the American League Championship Series.
But we will have Monday morning quarterback. We will have
Mike Holngrin, we will have Hugh Millen. They're just gonna
join us today from eight to nine, So a full
hour of breaking down this game.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
For you coming up starting at eight o'clock.

Speaker 6 (20:43):
Rams won yesterday, forty nine Ers lost not only the
game but their best defensive player, Fred Warner, So that's
now Bosa and Warner out for the season for the
San Francisco forty nine Ers. Both the forty nine Ers
and Rams are four and two, so are the Seahawks
four and two. We got a look at the latest
week in the National Football League coming your way this

(21:04):
morning at six forty five cold Turkey sandwich aboard of scores.
We will put that into the show today at six
forty five. Two games and Monday night football Tonight Buffalo
at Atlanta and Chicago at Washington will play some Factor
fiction today at seven thirty five. College football Demand Williams
went off Friday night at the expense of Rutgers.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
They doubled up the nights thirty eight to nineteen.

Speaker 6 (21:27):
The final Williams over four hundred yards passing one hundred
and thirty six yards rushing, and u dub gets the win.
Oregon lost to Indiana over the weekend and Penn State
lost its third straight and fire James Franklin Sunday, So
a big shake up there. In college football, the Kraken
has started their season at two to zero and they

(21:47):
will go on the road for the first time this
year to take on Montreal Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Looks like Everett.

Speaker 6 (21:53):
Al and the Gang will be in Toronto on Saturday,
so game number six potentially they could be there for that.
We saw Everett on the way out Friday night of
the stadium and hugged him before I realized, oh, you're
probably a little sad about this Detroit.

Speaker 7 (22:09):
Boy, although he also was like, yeah, I'm good either way. Really,
he's adopted the Mariners.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
All right.

Speaker 6 (22:15):
Mariners morning after his next Sports Radio ninety three point
three kJ RFL.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
Facing the top hitting team in baseball, which showed up
the Chen series up the first puts to screen new series,
same story, but there's blue chips out, there's one Hits chair,
and it's one Tophane.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
Hid right, fam Ry.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
Pleas kind of dude.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
Tied the game in the six. It's the big Dumper
when the Mariners.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
Need him most.

Speaker 4 (22:56):
Game one of the Championship series, it's tied off, go
ahead and second two gone.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
In the sixth to three to two.

Speaker 4 (23:02):
Blanco rips under the field pace hit Rodriguez heads home,
and the Mariners have taken the league first and third
one going in a one run game, Planco chops it
right side and third. Jorge Polanco has delivered a game
three to one Seattle and Planco has driven in the
last two right. Hey, it was a twenty seven pitch

(23:26):
first inning for Bryce Miller, and it looked like their
worst nightmare was maybe gonna happen coming off of that
long Game five.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
I've been digging into the pen quickly. They still haven't
thrown one hundred pitches total. The O two from.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
Munos popped up the Seattle Mariners retired twenty three of
the last twenty four and in one hundred pitches shut
down the Blue Jays in Game one.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
We've got good Fiji.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Yeah, it's Chuck Abuck in the morning. Happy Monday to
you all.

Speaker 6 (24:03):
Chuck Powelbucky Jacobson and Ashley Ryan are with you till
ten o'clock this morning. And yes we will be talking
some football today. We got an hour of Monday morning
quarterback with the two top analysts you're gonna find anywhere.

Speaker 3 (24:17):
Mike Holmer and Hugh Mellon joining us from eight to nine.

Speaker 6 (24:21):
But we're only having an hour so that we can
create more space to talk Mariners baseball, which we will
be doing here shortly as we get this seven o'clock
hour started on a frost Brewed course Light Choose Chill Monday,
counting you down to Monday Night football right here at
Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM. And of course

(24:41):
we've got Frost Brewed course Light Choose Chill headlines to
deliver as well. Those were the highlights from Fox Sports
last night. I want to talk about those two sons
of guns here in a little bit. Joe Davis and
John Smoltz on the call last night Fox Sports as
the Mariners do win Game number one of the American
League Champion and Ship Series.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
By a final score of three to one.

Speaker 6 (25:04):
Of course, the Ms wrapped up the divisional series in
a memorable fifteen inning marathon Friday night at home, one
of the more stressful games that any fan of a
team is ever going to have to be put through,
but they pulled it off Friday night in this spectacular fashion,
kept them alive in the American League playoffs. Major League

(25:26):
Baseball playoffs, and they're off to a good start, one
step toward the World Series, winning Game number one last
night over Kevin Gosman and the Jays and come from
behind fashion three to one was the final score. Game
two will be today two o'clock start time, and yes,
Logan Gilbert is getting the start. He'll be going up
against Toronto rookie tray Y Savage. So that's your matchup,

(25:50):
and again we'll talk more about that in a moment.
Game one of the National League Championship Series will also
get underway today. That's at five o'clock tonight, so game
two of a doubleheader the Dogs will be in Milwaukee
to take on the Brewers Seahawks twenty to twelve winners
over the Jacksonville Jaguars. So the Seahawks improved a four
and two and danger going to three and three.

Speaker 3 (26:10):
Mcmahn did they come through?

Speaker 6 (26:12):
I can't wait to hear Hughan coaches analysis on this
because they were playing without their basically their entire starting
secondary and still somehow came up with a game plan
that led them to a twenty to twelve victory over
a Jacksonville team that had been flat out humming Trevor
Lawrence had been sacked six times in the first five
games of the year. He was sacked seven times yesterday

(26:35):
by the Seahawks alone. So the pass rush does this
one eighty turnaround from the previous week and you win
over a hot Jacksonville team without your secondary, which was
supposed to be really one of the strengths, if not
the strength of the team.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Unreal, I mean just unreal. Sports are cool.

Speaker 6 (26:55):
So Seahawks four and two, They're tied with the Rams
and the forty nine ers now top the NFC West.
Monday Night Football tonight, Buffalo at Atlanta, Chicago at Washington.
Caleb Williams versus Jaden Daniels. Is this going to be
a future rivalry? Is this the next Manning versus Brady Oo?

(27:16):
So that's the matchups tonight. So two games on Monday
Night football. Seahawks will play Monday Night Football next week,
by the way, against the Houston Texans and college football.
You dub went over Rutgers Friday night, thirty eight to
nineteen behind Demon Williams, junior's best game as a collegiate
yet over four hundred yards passing one hundred and thirty
six yards rushing four total touchdowns, and the Huskies get

(27:39):
a little bit of revenge against the team that unceremoniously
defeated him a year ago at Rutgers. Oregon lost to Indiana,
and Indiana has moved to the number three spot in
the country. Penn State lost their third straight and have
fired their head coach, James Franklin. Meanwhile, the Kraken have
started two to zero. They'll be at Montreal, first road

(27:59):
game of the year, tomorrow night to take on the
Canadian And so, my goodness, there's a lot going on.
Bilet Koog's a near miss against Ole Miss. How about
that almost almost beat the fourth ranked team in the
in the country for goodness sake, and you dub will
be at Michigan this week. So at some point this
week we'll have some time to start counting down toward

(28:19):
a really big game for Jedfish and the Dogs. But
that's probably not going to happen today because we got
baseball to talk about, and Greg Bell not with us
today traveling, and so he'll be back with us tomorrow
and we'll get his thoughts on the Seahawks win over
the Jaguars and much much more.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
I think even wants to talk some baseball. If I
know that Greg Bell.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
I would imagine, yeah, he's gonna do He's gonna go
there and watch it.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
Yeah, I think he's going, yeah, to go cover it
up in Toronto. I think it's just an excuse for
him to go to Toronto.

Speaker 5 (28:50):
I mean excuse.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
He does love loonies and toonies.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
Loonies and toonies, their money, Oh.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
One dollar coins and two dollar coins, loonies and towns.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
I did not know that.

Speaker 5 (29:00):
Yeah, they were a little crazy, and.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
Well they are crazy. The Canadian people are loonies, but
they spend loonies as well. Well.

Speaker 6 (29:10):
Logan Gilbert is going to start today on just two
days rest, and so I suppose we're gonna have to
brace ourselves for television duo tonight calling the game to
talk about how it's impossible for Logan Gilbert to have
any energy or strength today, because that's pretty much what
the conversation was for five straight innings last night.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
Was John Smoltz.

Speaker 6 (29:30):
And he's very good and very smart, and he knows playoffs.
I mean, he's played in a thousand playoff games for
goodness sake. And he's not the only one. A lot
of people were sharing the thought over the course of
Sunday that, man, the Mariners really, I mean, they might
win the series, but you can just ride off Game
number one. They're just going to be so tired and

(29:52):
so emotionally spent and they exhausted from travel. And I
just didn't really understand that take whatsoever. But I had
to hear John Smoltz talk about it for five innings
and how great Kevin Gozman was.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
And then right around.

Speaker 6 (30:06):
The bottom of the fifth, when the bottom of the
fifth got over, it's like a light bulb went off
in the booth and they're like, oh, man, Miller's matching
this guy pitch for pitch. He doesn't look tired at all.

Speaker 4 (30:21):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (30:21):
And then in the sixth though, we finally get to
Gasman and eventually win the baseball game. But I mean,
I get it. If we would have played that fifteen
inning game and then we're asked, you got to play
the Blue Jays tomorrow morning? Yeah yeah, or hey, you
guys up for a doubleheader, we'd really like just to
carry this moment. We got a big audience right now,

(30:42):
and if just go get a snack.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Yep, yeah, an orange slice.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
Yeah, I get an orange eleven thirty.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
We're gon we're going to drag the field eleven thirty.
You got you get your pitcher ready to go. Whoa,
We don't know what it's going to mean. Figure it out.

Speaker 6 (30:54):
Toronto has decided to sacrifice home field advantage to play
you right now.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Yeah they're waiting. Yeah, I'm just waiting for Detroit to
get out of the clubhouse. They're going to get their
unis on real quick. We'll get this thing rolling. Cool.

Speaker 6 (31:05):
I mean, it was an ideal that we had to
use three of our guys and our rotation Friday night
to wrap up the division. That certainly wasn't the game
plan the right thing to do. Good job Dan to
not hesitate to go ahead it. I mean, you've got
to win the divisional series to get to the ALCS,

(31:25):
so you know, you do whatever it takes, and then
you worry about tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
Tomorrow. But I mean, you got.

Speaker 6 (31:33):
An entire day of travel and then you've got an
entire day the next day until you have to play
at night on a Monday. These are all guys in
their twenties for goodness sake, almost all of them, with
the exception of George Springer and his weird bowl haircut
with the ball patch. Yeah, just shave it, George. Yeah, great,

(31:55):
good looking guy.

Speaker 5 (31:56):
You don't you don't need to hang on to what
you got.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
Yeah, what you're doing there?

Speaker 2 (32:01):
I think it looks great on you.

Speaker 6 (32:04):
Looks like a Yeah, it looks like a bird's nest
fell upside down who cracked all its eggs. So I
just didn't quite get the narrow and maybe they were
a little sluggish.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (32:16):
I think they just got Gosman. I think Gosman was sharp.
I think that's a tough matchup for them. But Bryce
Miller certainly didn't look fatigued. The defense certainly didn't look fatigued.
And I just thought that was an overdone narrative going
into the game and during the game from the broadcasters
last night. And so, you know, if I'm to believe you, John,

(32:37):
then Wow, what a miraculous win by us. I can't
believe we defeated a team that we match up really
well against and are simply better than. I can't believe
we pulled that off since the last time we played
was forty eight hours ago. From the first pitch that
I am stunned.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
Yeah, super super.

Speaker 6 (33:00):
Prized by that there have been miracles, but this one
takes the cake.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
I mean, I get, okay, if I get the idea
that that this narrative would pop up, right, fifteen innings
is not a little thing, but it's like to some degree,
like let's just think about, Okay, outside of Gilbert and
Castillo throwing, and Kirby obviously the other guys, what happens

(33:25):
during the regular season with the reliever? If they throw
a day or two days in a row, what do
they get off? Usually before they're live again. One day off. Okay,
Bizardo was warming up yesterday, right, but then we didn't
need him because Spier went out and shoved for four
straight pitches. Thanks for the innings. I'm back on track,

(33:45):
or so it would seem. And then it was like, okay,
now we can go brash Munos and we're ready to
rock and roll. But Bizartro was ready to go. He's
the one that threw the most pitches and yet he
was ready to go. So other outside of that, pitching wise,
you were good to go. It it puts you in
a position to where you had to make a decision

(34:06):
or we're gonna go. Luis Castillo, who threw the fewer
between him and Logan Gilbert, or we do we trust
Bryce on short not on short short rest. But then again,
like he had said in that thing earlier, well sometimes
we think about wouldn't it just be better to not
throw a bullpen and just throw on four days rest? Anyways,
and after him only throwing fifty five pitches, it was

(34:28):
obvious now in hindsight, but it makes sense even leading
into it. If someone would have brought the narrative up
of boy, these guys got to be tired and he's
coming back on short rest like that, he might raise
his hand and go, I only threw fifty five pitches. Yeah,
Like I'm not really, I wasn't tired when I left
the game two days ago, three days ago.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
I dismiss it. It's a valid talking point.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
I just think it just got overdone exact exactly, because
there's just nothing about this time of year that you
didn't train for. You trained to hopefully get to be
ab to play extra baseball in October, and these guys
are young and they're resilient talked. I said it on
the post game show yesterday that this trip that we
took to Detroit was the first time that I was

(35:10):
affected by travel, like genuinely my physical body was not
feeling good after the flight there and then walking around
and standing up and just doing all the stuff that
we were doing. Good thing Dan did and Pencilley in
the lineup it. I went to him, you know, I
mean all of the starting pitchers went to him and said, hey,
I'm ready to pitch in Game five. I went to

(35:30):
him and said, hey, Skip, don't put me in to day.
My ankles are swollen from the flight.

Speaker 7 (35:36):
And I will say though, that is a good point
that I was I wanted to talk about too, the
fact that all of the starters went to them and
were like, yep, we're here, whatever you need, use us,
and not one of them would have said, no, sorry, Skip,
can't go a little tired. I mean, it's the playoffs.
They all want to do whatever they can do to
help this team win. And that's very evident.

Speaker 3 (35:55):
Yeah, and I just got here that emotionally drained, emotionally
drained they won. Had they lost that game and had
to play the next day emotionally drain, yeah, yeah, but
they didn't even have a plane to fly to Toronto. Yeah,
they just floated there, right I mean, come on, you
won one of the most memorable got wrinch.

Speaker 6 (36:14):
I mean that just lifts all boats, you know, that tide,
And so I just really wasn't all that worried about it,
and maybe they did start a little flat.

Speaker 3 (36:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (36:26):
Kind of felt like if Dan Wilson would have challenged
that play call at home, like his coaches whose job
is to review things and should have notified him that
he might be safe skip. And this is a huge
momentum changer. If we can score here early on, you know,
maybe we get off to a much faster start and
never have to look back. I don't know, sliding doors,

(36:48):
I suppose, but they do get to win last night.
Three to one is your final score. Now they get
ready for game number two. And here's Logan, and he's
never done this before. First of all, he's never been
a relief pitcher. He's never comeing in relief. And he
goes two plus innings and he did look like he
was starting to fatigue in that third inning. And he's
only on two days rest since that time. So, I mean,

(37:09):
this is uncharted territory. He's never done it before. But
the dude's like Gumby first of all, and so I
think we're gonna see something similar. I think we're gonna
see him, maybe not be the best version of himself,
but I think we're going to see a really good
version of Logan Gilbert here tonight against the Blue Jays.
And then anybody doubt Bryce Miller can pitch in.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
The playoffs now, I hope not.

Speaker 6 (37:37):
Brian Woo's on this roster for a reason, and I
don't think it's in case we need him in the
seventh game. I mean, he's got to be able to
pitch in some fashion, and if we've got I don't
have any problem at all giving Bryce Miller the ball
in Game five if Brian Wo's used in relief today
to number one, because we need the innings at number

(37:59):
two to test him so that you don't have to
start him, and you can take him out after three
batters if you need to, if it's just not right,
you know what I'm saying, Yeah, or if he is injured,
you can take him out immediately. You can take him
out after one pitch if he's still injured. But you
do have that he made the roster for a reason.
He is there, and I would imagine could go innings

(38:23):
if you needed him to go to go that far.
But I expect Logan Gilbert to give us at least
five here, and I think there're gonna be five really
quality innings.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
Yeah. Well, I mean, ultimately, there's no pitcher on our
staff and pretty much on any staff across baseball that
at this point in time in the season that you're
gonna allow him to just all right, Bud, Sorry, you
got to eat some innings like you do in the
regular season. Meaning the hook is quicker to yank somebody
out of here if they don't got it, right, if
they just don't have it. And so what we've seen

(38:55):
so far is a team that really with I mean,
you didn't have Brian Wu, and yet you just won
a series in five games, the fifth game of which
went fifteen innings, and you were without the dude that
basically has been your best performer from start to finish
this season, right, And so that tells you the depth, right,

(39:17):
you know we were talking, would Bryce Millery be in
the bullpen right right? If you were before the peck
injury to Brian Wu. And yet that's not a knock
against him. That says something about the rest of the team,
and so to me, when you talk about Logan, Gilbert Logan,
Gilbert was ready to come in and relief and not
just get out of a jam, but to throw a

(39:38):
couple innings because he is a gumba ish, because he
does all this weird stuff with these water balls and
snow globes and exercises to make his arm feel as
good as possible for one hundred pitches and then a
few days off and one hundred pitches. And now when you
get to the end, it's not a matter of do
you have even a couple drops left in the gas tank?
It's can you go shove it? Because that's what he's

(40:01):
expecting to do, is every five days or every four days,
go out and shove when you all of a sudden
mix in something that is basically a really cool bullpen.
He doesn't get to come out in the dark with
music playing and flame shooting up as he shoots out.
He usually just wanders in right before the game with
a towel around his neck, just hey, somebody grab my

(40:22):
water my snow globe bag for me.

Speaker 3 (40:24):
Will you?

Speaker 2 (40:25):
You know, he just usually wanders in. Instead, he gets
to come in with all of that excitement. He's not
going to be spent because of it. Now Again, if
he gets into trouble in the fourth or the fifth
or the sixth, so be it. I just don't think
it's gonna happen. I think that guys with split fingers,
there's a usually when you get in trouble with that,
it's when you overthrow it. It starts to spend more.

(40:48):
It doesn't have the same drop off the table. I
think him with his big, long, gangly fingers, he's gonna
just split these guys to death.

Speaker 5 (40:55):
Love it.

Speaker 6 (40:57):
By the way, I don't know if he heard his
postgame interview last night, but they had asked Bryce Miller,
what did cal say to you in the first inning?

Speaker 3 (41:06):
And Bryce said.

Speaker 6 (41:07):
Normally I don't even really listen to what he says,
and so it was, but I think that he went
on to say lie. But yeah, he was just trying
to like calm me down in the moment. So they
asked Logan about it, and Logan says, yeah, Cal's visits.
Sometimes he just comes out and just stares at me.

(41:32):
Sometimes he doesn't say anything. It's just they're just really awkward.
That's hilarious. But Cal's just disappointed with him and goes
out there and puts his glove over his mouth and
doesn't even say a word.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
Well, you're trying to change whatever mindset they're in. Wouldn't
that do it? If he just walked up somebody and
they're expecting to say something, you just look at him.
They're just like, you got to say something? And then
are you gonna say something?

Speaker 6 (42:02):
Or well on the button runs back, yeah, and then
you're just like, what the hell.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
That was your mound visit?

Speaker 3 (42:09):
How amazing is the relationship between that guy and.

Speaker 5 (42:12):
His Oh my gosh, it's amazing.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
It is just incredible. All right?

Speaker 6 (42:16):
Coming out next, we'll play some Factor fiction and talk
a little bit more about this amazing sports weekend. Sports
Radio ninety three point three KJRFM Hugh Millan and Mike Holmgren.
It won't be the normal two hour extravaganza, will just
be going from eight to nine today with both Hugh
and coach, So that comes your way in a little bit.
We'll talk about last or yesterday Afternoons twenty to twelve

(42:38):
win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Also let you know that
the MMA Supreme Showdown eleven is going down at to
Lalup Resort Casinos ORCA brawl Room Saturday, January thirty first,
at six pm. Tickets are gonna go on sale Friday,
October twenty fourth at ten am by them online at

(42:58):
Everything to Laylap or Ticketmaster or service charge fee free
at the Toulelap Resort Casino or Quilseeda Creek Casino at
their one club desk. You must be twenty one or
over to a ten. But it's coming MMA Supreme Showdown
eleven at the brawl Room. All right, ABC's of the MS.

(43:19):
We do a daily Mariner segment. We've done it all
season long. We're certainly not going to stop at the
American League Championship Series. Well do you think we are nuts?

Speaker 2 (43:27):
Be weird?

Speaker 5 (43:28):
Yeah, now, that'd just be a stupid idea.

Speaker 2 (43:32):
It's a good season boys, mission. Job's done here. That's
what we were hoping for in one game in the
American League Championship Series.

Speaker 3 (43:39):
Done with the ABCS. We left off of the letter.

Speaker 6 (43:42):
VV is for Vlad Junior, who obviously draw some attention.
Remember not long ago we were wondering what it would
take to get him at last year's trading deadline.

Speaker 3 (43:52):
When the Blue Jays were having such a.

Speaker 6 (43:54):
Bad season, they not only held on to him, they
extended him. They're clearly building around him, and man, it
really looked like it was paying off this year. He
had a good season, very good season, and had a
tremendous series against the New York Yankees.

Speaker 3 (44:08):
Hit over five.

Speaker 6 (44:09):
Hundred, hit three home runs, he knocked in nine runs
for goodness sake, and that five assuming four games that
he played against the New York Yankees, but last night
against Bryce Miller and company, er for four and pretty
much just had him grounding out the JP every single
at that.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
Well, that first inning when it was when things got
harry right, the very first out, the first ball gets
hit out of the yard, and then then he ends
up walking a dude, right, He ends up walking that
Nathaniel Lukes which actually struck him out. That was a
great pitch. First would have been strike three, they called

(44:46):
it a ball. And then Vlad comes out and he
smashes that first one, and that was one of those like,
oh to me, anyways, that was my first like okay,
because it felt like it could just go out the
way in which the first ab and then that long
ab that he ends up battling a battling, and it's
even longer because he hits the ball off his knee

(45:07):
and and so vladd comes up there and ends up
scorching one. Luckily right to Julio, that was like a
okay boom, because that's the that's a dude that can
absolutely kill you by himself, and so other than that,
he did end up. Everybody from that point forward ended
up getting him out fairly easily. But that was one
where I felt like we got we got away with one.

Speaker 6 (45:26):
He's very scary, but we do match up well, like
all of our pitchers are right handed, our starting pitchers
and all of their best hitters, Kirk Guerrero Springer when
Baschet's there and he's not there right now, I mean there.
This is why we match up so well against them.

Speaker 3 (45:42):
And it's not that.

Speaker 6 (45:43):
Vladimir Guerrero Junior can't hit right handers, but we do
match up better against this team than we would have
the Yankees.

Speaker 3 (45:49):
Same.

Speaker 6 (45:49):
On the flip side, we struggle a little bit against
left handed starters. We're not going to face one unless
they throw Eric Lauer into a game just to take
advantage of that fact. But I don't think that's going
to happen anything. So we match up pretty well, and
last night I thought was a pretty good indication of
that that Bryce Miller could tie some really hot hitters
into knots and we come out of that pretty much unscathed.

(46:12):
Toronto couldn't be hotter entering that series, and they went
one for twenty eight after George Springer homer to start
the game. Not bad w is for Wilson. There's a
bit of a narrative that aj Hinch had been out
managing Dan Wilson in the Alds, but on that last day, Man,

(46:34):
I don't know what aj Hinch was thinking. Tanking out
Derek schoobl Friday night.

Speaker 3 (46:39):
Well, that was to me insanity.

Speaker 6 (46:43):
Six innings, fifteen in a row, set down in order,
showing absolutely no fatigue, and he did us a favor.
As I said in the postgame, and I've said it
numerous times, whenever the opposing dugout, when you make a
pitching change and the opposing dugout says, oh my god,
you've made a mistake, and man, what a major man.

(47:03):
I still to this moment understand it. I will never
understand that decision, and it might have been the reason
why we ended up pulling that game off because in
the seventh inning, the first inning without him on the mound,
we scored a run, tied things up, and then went
into the fifteen innings. But then last night Dan obviously
got some bad information because that game could have been
a little easier last night. I don't know why they

(47:25):
didn't challenge that play at home plate and the first
inning he looked to my naked eye looked out to
me as well. But that's what you have that team.
This is a team that found that.

Speaker 3 (47:36):
Had a call. Hey, challenge this because the second baseman's
heels are on the grass yep. I mean, if they're
watching that closely and nobody took the time to see that,
calm very well might have gotten his cleat in under
Alejandro Kirk and on the base or on home plate
before he was touched.

Speaker 2 (47:55):
That was a big error.

Speaker 6 (47:56):
The vast difference between those two situations one run in,
two runs, two runners on base and only one out
versus no runs in two runners on base and two outs.
I mean, just the vast difference, the vast advantage that
you get by possibly getting that thing overturned was.

Speaker 2 (48:14):
Worth losing a challenge At that point, yeah, well it's
worth you've got to give it a shot. You're right
because of how big the difference is. The idea of
that us sitting there first and third and they get
a they get his polonco to ground out, and then
get the guy out at home plate. Boom. You're sitting
there first and second, no runs scored. Looks like you're

(48:35):
going to escape this possible run scoring situation. Versus two
guys on one run in you still only have one out.
A possible crooked number is on the way. I think
that in and of itself, the difference, the vast difference
between those like you just said, is a reason to
do it. I will say this though, I don't think
they overturn it. I mean even when they slow it down.

(48:58):
It just was one of those I feel like, which
which every way they called it is the way it
was going to go. So we don't know for sure
if anything would have changed, other than the fact you
would have been down one. You would have been down
one challenge down to your last one now and feeling like,
hopefully we don't need to use another one. Hopefully we
don't have another bang bang. That is crucial at this

(49:18):
point in time, because then you could be without And
so I don't I think because of the slight the
way in which it could have vastly changed things, I
would have I would have burnt one there. But at
the same time, I don't think they would have changed
it even if you had.

Speaker 6 (49:31):
Well, it's hard for the manager. They do that whole
hold up, hold up the game. I gotta hear from
my people. Where were the people.

Speaker 2 (49:37):
Well, I'm sure they said, don't challenge it. Oh man,
I'm sure they said, I don't think it'll be overturned.

Speaker 7 (49:44):
Yeah, that was my thought too, is however it was called,
was going to be what they were going to stick
with because I didn't see how that was a good
enough angle to still though, I also, I will say,
on Friday, didn't think that they were going to be
able to overturn that strike that Cal threw to JP
to get the run at second and holy moly, that
was amazing.

Speaker 6 (50:02):
All right, Monday Morning Quarterback comes your way next with
Humel and Mike Hombren Sports Radio ninety three point three
KJRFM kJ r FM.

Speaker 4 (50:14):
Bez dartled sets to throw and folding one down the middle.
That's check bo touchdown Seahawks.

Speaker 3 (50:24):
Chris Myers on the call yesterday.

Speaker 5 (50:28):
Jackson the way he said it, Yeah, maybe that's really hard.

Speaker 6 (50:35):
Has another big game, and everybody that calls one of
his games for the first time, I think ends up
being surprised at.

Speaker 3 (50:42):
How good he is.

Speaker 6 (50:44):
He was targeted thirteen out of twenty four targets yesterday,
which we've complained about a little bit in the past
that maybe Sam's not spreading the ball around the field enough.
But man, when you're making plays like that, eight catches
one hundred and sixty two yards in a touchdown for
JSN yesterday and Ay to twelve win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It's Monday Morning Quarterback with Hugh Mellon Mike Holmgren joining

(51:05):
US coach. I'll start with you this segment. I mean,
you coached the greatest wide receiver of all time, and
there is no dispute a who that is is Jerry Rai,
So we're certainly not going to compare him to number eighty.
But how good is JSN becoming right before our eyes?

Speaker 8 (51:24):
You know, he is really good, you know, and he's
you know, that's not totally surprising, I don't think, but
I always look at his size just a little bit.
You know, he's not the biggest guy in the world.
But how he catches the ball, how fluid he is,
how he puts it away, how he's open, He understands
the game, he understands where he go, and he's young.

(51:44):
And so you put all that stuff together and you say,
I've got something really special here for.

Speaker 2 (51:47):
A long time.

Speaker 6 (51:49):
Hugh about his relationship with Sam Darnold. I don't know,
maybe he's targeting him too much, but man, it would
be just so irresistible to look Eleven's way every single
snap for goodness sake.

Speaker 9 (52:00):
Yeah, I think that they're making a mistake. I think
they need to to h to get Hortony and involved
more and Cup more. And uh, I think Elijah Royo,
I think that at some point they're gonna face somebody's
gonna travel a really stud receiver on him. Uh, you know,
just roll on him every time. Don't allow him that
free access. And and I think that they just be

(52:22):
a better offense if they did that. But for Jsn's part,
I look, look, he has all the attributes other than
the size and the elite top end speed, but he
when you see him in person, he's really low cut.
He's got relative for his six', one you, KNOW i
would say mid. Size he's not a reality bitty, guy
but he's got short legs and his center of. Gravity

(52:45):
uh it it allows him to be so quicken in
and out of those. Breaks and And mike that That
i'm describing the shake, route uh against cover. Three the
corners guys, Uh chuck And. Buck the corners are are
essentially in man and man on a vertical route in
that particular. Zone so when When jasn comes up on

(53:06):
these guys and he breaks to the, post they have
to turn their hips and mirror him to the. Post
but he is so freaking quick at dropping his weight
and ben bam like a sewing machine and his feeder
and then he accelerates the. Sideline then he has elite ball, skills,
uh you. Know and and and the slant. Route there's

(53:26):
a slant route that he had against what they. Tried
they rolled the. Cover they, said all, right we're gonna
double cover him on this. One we're gonna go. Zone
it's To Sam donald's. Left there's what's called cloud the
corners in the flat safety's over the. Top All Sam
donald has to do is hold the next inside, linebacker
the inside linebacker with his eyes and then hit that
window between the corner and the. Linebacker So donald holds

(53:49):
him with his eyes and boom and then the perfect ball.
Placement BUT, jsn you know he knows he. Can you
just trust him that he.

Speaker 3 (53:56):
Can he.

Speaker 9 (53:57):
Can whatever the ball, placement he can go get it
because he has such elite tracking in. Hands so there's
so many skills that they're exploiting with this.

Speaker 2 (54:04):
Guy i'm gonna, coach is there a part of you
where they're going to him a ton right? Now and
then yesterday you saw as the game went on then
there was a couple of strikes there To Cooper. CUP
i mean when you were doing this with you, know
whether It's Jerry, rice whoever was there teamed with, him
the opposite guy of, him where you're, Like, OKAY i

(54:26):
see this coming where MAYBE i don't want it to
be a mistake like he was talking, about and So
i'm gonna have to kind of set this up WHERE
i go TO jsn and then start Telling sam to
look to another guy because they're going to try to
take him.

Speaker 8 (54:39):
Away you know, WHAT i DON'T i don't think So
BUCK i think. THAT i think when you go in
and you have preparation for the get the quarterback ready to,
play you, know you call the. Play this is the.
Play he knows where everyone's going to, be and then
he after he takes a snap from center and the

(55:00):
secondary does what they. Do that sets up your progression
and where you're gonna go and why you're gonna. Go
you might call a. PLAY i had things on my,
list you, know For Sterling, sharp For Jerry, rice or
For Robert, brooks whoever, was and THEN i call that
play thinking that's WHO i want to get the ball,
too because this is WHAT i think the coverage is

(55:21):
going to. Be but then they don't run that, coverage
SO i expect the quarterback to make the adjustment and
throw someplace. Else what's kind of cool about this is
that going into the, game they know that this is the.
Guy the other team, Knows, okay this is the. Guy
we got to do something about, it and clearly yesterday

(55:42):
they could. Not they could, not and so you got to, Say,
okay they got something special. Going BUT i don't think
you're going with the. Idea, Okay i'm calling this. Play
throw it to, him you, know you might say because
of the play that you, know, yeah that's Where i'd
like you to throw, it but let's get it to
the open.

Speaker 2 (56:00):
Guy.

Speaker 9 (56:01):
Mike there was a play that where it struck me, like,
LOOK i love the connection they, Have like who would?
Complain i'm just kind of like, Thinking, okay what is
the strategy that maximize your absolute offensive? Potential and when
they threw the the tunnel screen out there do TO
jsn with the lineman leading, ahead, guys that was one

(56:24):
WHERE i, thought, uh you could you could throw that
To Tory horton so that he's involved and they know
that fifteen is might get the ball thrown to. Him
And Tory horton's your punt, returner so you, know he
has an ability to make things happen in. Space so
so that was a time WHERE i, thought, eh that

(56:44):
they just gotta they gotta throw a crumb to that,
guy not just for the sake of him and keeping him,
involved but for the defense to know that the ball
is going to go somewhere else other than.

Speaker 8 (56:53):
Eleven, no, ABSOLUTELY i mean you, know and you prepare
that way Saying, okay they're going to, cover they're gonna,
double or they're gonna do something for just AND i
can get hold of the ball, HERE i can really
take care of advantage of that and do it that.
Way you actually get him, involved AND i think he'll
make a very good. Point AND i think as they

(57:14):
go down the, ROAD i think that you're gonna see
more of.

Speaker 6 (57:16):
That, YEAH i was gonna ask you this coach for
the end of the. HOUR i think maybe in our
last two minutes of this, segment it's a good time
to kind of slip it in right. HERE i, thought
Once mike McDonald had thirteen players out on the, field
he should have just sent six more out.

Speaker 2 (57:30):
There just go set a, record just get.

Speaker 6 (57:33):
Called if you're gonna get, thirteen you might as well
have nineteen on the.

Speaker 3 (57:36):
Field that's WHAT i. THOUGHT i don't know about, you.

Speaker 8 (57:38):
Well you, know, yeah well you know that if if
that had, HAPPENED i don't THINK i could have found
the special team teams.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
Coach on the.

Speaker 8 (57:45):
Sideline he was not gonna be anywhere near.

Speaker 2 (57:47):
Me.

Speaker 3 (57:49):
Thirteen do you ever have thirteen on the?

Speaker 2 (57:51):
Field, no that was that was. Unusual did you ever.

Speaker 3 (57:56):
Win a game going one for twelve on third? Down?

Speaker 8 (58:00):
No that was another. Thing AND i think you know,
what they're playing a lot of close games and not
scoring a lot of points in games set for last,
week and they got Beat, no that was and that's
that's what they have to work on on defense and. Offense.

Speaker 6 (58:14):
Clearly, yeah it's crazy here that you, Know sam could
play that, well and then you look at the stats
at the end of the. Game one for twelve on third.
Down that is almost an automatic loss If i'm just
reading the.

Speaker 9 (58:25):
Statue, yeah, Indeed but you know, WHAT i think they
compensated obviously getting big plays early. On we talked about
that's primarily going to come from play play. Action first
game against the forty nine ers one attempt for twenty
one yards and yesterday eight attempts one hundred and eighty
three yards on our one hundred and thirty five passer.

(58:47):
Ratings so they're getting what the big plays early, on
and then and finally on that they're getting to twelve.
Personnel these are the number of yards passing.

Speaker 3 (59:00):
To that's one running back and two tight.

Speaker 9 (59:02):
Ends and this is gonna red sequence or like it's a,
sending but this is actually the. Sequence game number, one
this is twelve personnel yards Production mike four. Yards then sixty,
three then ninety, one then one oh, three then one eighty,
seven and yesterday two hundred and fourteen each game more
than the. Previous and now that play action plus the

(59:26):
two tight, ends just two receivers getting those big plays
in the early downs off, sets going one for twelve and.

Speaker 3 (59:33):
Third now.

Speaker 2 (59:36):
All, right, YEAH i mean, yeah go, Ahead, Gom, sorry go, Ahead,
chuck all, Right.

Speaker 6 (59:39):
Coach homer And Hugh millan with us here on checking
back in the. Mornings we do have one more. Segment
we're just doing one more segment one hour. Today a
lot Of American League Championship, series the discussion to have,
today which we'll start again at nine, o'clock but certainly
a great evaluation here of the seahawks twenty twelve win
over The Jacksonville. Jaguars we have one more segment more

(59:59):
to t talk about on the defensive side of the.
BALL Nex Sports radio ninety three point three kJ, rfm.

Speaker 3 (01:00:08):
THE u two From munos popped.

Speaker 4 (01:00:10):
Up The Seattle mariners retired twenty three of the last
twenty four and in one hundred, pitches shut down The
Blue jays In game, one three to. One seattle in
their First Championship series game in twenty four years pitching the.

Speaker 10 (01:00:29):
Story all, right nine o'clock, hour chuck Bow Buggy jacobson
And Ashley ryan with you and joining us here as

(01:00:51):
we talk some.

Speaker 6 (01:00:51):
BASEBALL i know we normally Do monday morning. Quarterback we
reduced that to one hour here on This, monday and
so we talked baseball with our new, insider Former mariner first.
Baseman and he's coming in without. Hat, look how look
how wonderful as hair looks conditioner this? Morning oh, definitely,

(01:01:11):
yeah looks.

Speaker 3 (01:01:12):
Good look. Sharp Ryan healey joins us here on chucking
back in the. Morning good, morning, Sir i'm oh, Man
i'm excited to be. Here this is, boys this is just,
sweating just a little bit of a comb. Over there's
nothing in there, Yet no, moose no.

Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
Moose.

Speaker 3 (01:01:25):
No oh, yeah good way to rub it, In. Healy,
YEAH i want to zoom call with two bald.

Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
Men SO i.

Speaker 11 (01:01:31):
Apologize MAYBE i should start wearing a hat more, often
just to keep the level playing.

Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
Field appreciate.

Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
That, yeah it's really uneven right, now very very. Uneven
this is a, mismatch is what's taking place?

Speaker 6 (01:01:42):
Here, uh all, right we've got stuff talking about from,
yesterday BUT i got to get your. Thought we haven't
chatted with you since That friday. GAME i, mean what
put that in? Perspective what Did Ryan heay think of that?
EVENING a lot of.

Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
Stress.

Speaker 11 (01:01:58):
Just proud as, well just the and the willpower to push.
Through that was a game that wasn't going to be
Pretty unfortunately you were facing the best pitcher in the.
World AND i give this team so much credit for
finding a way to. Win IF i wanted to be hyper,
CRITICAL i could sit here and pick apart a ton
of negatives about striking out twenty times in a, Game
but the bottom line is they got they found a
way to get the job, done and the pitching staff,

(01:02:20):
Unbelievable like this was a storyline coming in the season
and they were not our strength all, season and we
leaned on them heavy in that game, five deciding The,
alts and they got us to THE. Cs AND i
feel like this has been a well, rounded full team contribution,
series not just in THE ds but also to start THE.
Cs And i'm excited the way that the manners are
clicking right.

Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
Now, Obviously, YEAH i mean that's one where you did
just enough to figure out a way offensively to pull
that thing, out but the way in Which dan managed
the pitching staff and the bullpen and you use it
as big guys or the back of the end, guys
and then Going Logan logan And logan Log. YEAH i

(01:03:04):
Like logert as, well but then him And bizarto And,
CASTILLO i mean JUST i mean it was almost work
to perfection the way that it worked. Out how impressed
were a year With dan and the way that he
used those, guys.

Speaker 3 (01:03:16):
Very very.

Speaker 11 (01:03:17):
IMPRESSED i thought he was going to be more, aggressive
But George kirby made his decision really. Easy and there
was an argument that you could have Left George kirby
in there for the fifth inning, honestly on in the
sixth and having him maybe intentionally Walk. Carpenter carpenter Was
Barry bonds that, game and maybe you intentionally walk him and, attacked,
uh you, Know torres on. Deck but at that POINT
i felt like he executed this the way that he

(01:03:37):
loves to meaning starting pitchers straight To, Spire Brash Moon
NEOs and then from there it was all hands on.
Deck and this shows a lot of just the character
of this starting rotation of you, Know gilbert wanted to
go To bizardo absolutely putting everything on the line going
two point.

Speaker 3 (01:03:51):
Two that that.

Speaker 11 (01:03:52):
Man if there was AN mvp for that, Series i'd
give it to him for just pitching it all five.
Games and it's his effort that he gave us in
that fifteen inning.

Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
Game and Then.

Speaker 11 (01:03:59):
CASTILLO i THOUGHT i was going to See castile earlier
in that, game but he came, out he filled the zone,
up he. Executed gilbert changed up his pitching style a little.
Bit it was a lot of breakers and splitters and,
sliders and he turned into a junk baller guy that
throws ninety eight one hundred miles an. Hour he did
what needed to be, done AND i was so impressed
with their ability to change their routines of what they

(01:04:21):
normal look like and Say i'm going to go out
here and execute strike.

Speaker 6 (01:04:24):
One Former Mariner Ryan healy has been with us throughout the.
Postseason it's been great to have him, aboard reacting to
Every mariner game that we've been on the air Here
monday Through, friday and he joins us here. Today all, Right,
well let's jump then To game one last night In,
toronto a three to one. Win there was a lot

(01:04:44):
made on the broadcasts and twenty four hours social media
cycle about how tired and how emotionally drained that this
team was going to be after that fifteen inning. Affair
bucky AND i weren't really buying.

Speaker 3 (01:04:58):
IT i think that they could have loaded To.

Speaker 6 (01:05:01):
TORONTO i don't, know, THOUGH i, Mean bucky AND i
haven't you, know hopped aboard a cushy charter flight To
toronto and had a day off before The. Alcs BUT
i wasn't really worried about. That and your estimation was
that something to worry? About and did The mariners once

(01:05:22):
again overcome a giant obstacle to get that victory last?

Speaker 11 (01:05:26):
NIGHT i, think to the rest of the, world into
the rest of the, league giant. Obstacle but for the
amount of miles of this team travels with the course
of a, season this is just another. Trip we'd lead
the league in miles traveled every single season just because
of our location where we. Go yes to chart the charter.
Flights the private planes are. Wonderful that's very. Comminating you're
not gonna get the same. Sleep my only thought THAT

(01:05:48):
i had during this chug And bucky was how much
were they drinking on That saturday night after the fifteen inning,
game because they were they had minimal time to recover
before they had a long. FLIGHT i was, like, boys
pop every bottle of champaign you possibly, can but let's
maybe have two or three beers and let's shut it
down because with these mosey the.

Speaker 3 (01:06:05):
Hydrate Cal rawley's legs had to have been.

Speaker 11 (01:06:07):
Shot after that, GAME i saw a quote of Himing
dingler going back and, forth BUT i didn't buy. It
the amount adrenaline that these these met are feeling right
now in, playoffs and just the excitement of what they
did as a team to get. HERE i had a
feeling that how they showed up last night was gonna
be exactly. THAT i DON'T i can't SAY i predicted the,
outcome But Bryce miller was locked in executing and bounced

(01:06:28):
back after that per first pitch homer For springer.

Speaker 3 (01:06:30):
Tremendously.

Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
Yeah, WELL i, Mean Bryce miller kind of the story of,
it really when it boils. DOWN i, mean there's a
couple of big stories, there But Bryce miller just the
stones that he. Showed knowing that you are to some
degree a little bit strapped with the way in which
you can use your staff and to go out there
and have what was it twenty seven twenty sakes pitches

(01:06:52):
or whatever in the first inning and give up that,
bomb but limit the damage even with a couple of
walks mixed in, there and then to just start mowing
them down on the way he. DID i, mean he's
kind of a cool hand loop type. Guy chuck uses the,
term you, know A Clint eastwood. Type he just kind
of feels like a. Gunslinger and he went out there
and won the. Duel, yeah, yeah for.

Speaker 11 (01:07:11):
SURE i don't think he had the season he wanted,
Either and If I'm, bryce this was an opportunity for
me to step up and Say i'm the same. Guy
he had a tremendous twenty twenty four season and maybe
a little bit of a down twenty five to his
standard of what have we seen him? Do but for,
him he got the opportunity to take game one just
because of the Way game five played. Out AND i
know he was licking his chops, saying this is my
shot to show everyone, improved not just to them but

(01:07:33):
to myself That i'm that same. GUY i can go
out there and carry this. Team AND i think he
threw seventy six pitches, total filled up the strike zone
twenty seven pitches in the first you, Said, bucky and
then he went what was it like nine eleven eight
or something. Like it was ridiculous how he just filled
the strike zone. Up he had so much, confident with
confidence with his fastball early in count he lean on
the splitter a lot LATE i think he threw back
to back splitters of Lad he had him uncomfortable after

(01:07:55):
giving up the barrel in the first. Inning he caught
barrels in the first think there was two outs that
were one h two to five plus and then just
settled from. There but he wasn't scared of filling up
the strikes on. Him that's What that's what got this
team really.

Speaker 6 (01:08:07):
Going that and then a Cal raley home. RUN i
don't know what it is about him and That. BALLYARD
i don't know if the confidence came first and now
he just loves going, there or if there's just something
about that yard that just works with Cal raley's eyes
or you, know swagger or whatever it might. Be but
no runs at that, point and then he just he

(01:08:29):
touched off another bomb In.

Speaker 11 (01:08:31):
Toronto it's the power of a chip on your shoulder
and a guy that could and should be AN mvp this.
YEAR i know he has that quote that the manager
for The Blue jay said, postgame if Cal raley's easy
to pitch to when you execute your, pitches, well guess.
What you executed some really good pitch yesterday and Cal
rowley found a way to, wait and he had a
really strong at bat in the first. INNING i believe

(01:08:52):
it was a two strike knock and then the two
to two homer on the hanging. Split that wasn't a terrible,
Pitch it just ended up in the go zone of
Cal rally low in and that was the. Igniter but
like this offense had to be. Patient Bryce miller had
to hold down the fort for five plus innings for
wait for that final spurt, there and then the boys
scored to that inning and you started to see it
rolling a little. Bit BUT i gave a lot lot

(01:09:14):
of credit To Bryce, miller and then obviously Cal rawley's
showing up the way that he's leading this team right
now offensively is a big reason why they're, here not
just in the, postseason but also in the.

Speaker 2 (01:09:22):
Series, YEAH i, MEAN i asked you About dan in
that fifteen inning, game and yet in the first inning
there's kind of a questionable no challenge. There i'm wondering
what your thought was on. That mine was initially was,
YEAH i think he might have been, safe BUT i
don't know if it was clear and concise enough to
where they would have overturned. It that, said because of
how vast the difference would have, been have a run

(01:09:44):
in one fewer, outs still two guys on in the first,
inning AND i think it's one where you maybe spend
one of those two. Challenges and, SO i, mean what
did you think about? That and now SO i mean
the idea of he was kind of blocking the plate
before he had the, ball which is again, Rules is
that something they could have? Challenged he should he have
spent a challenge, there whether it would have worked out or.

Speaker 11 (01:10:05):
Not now that it's all said and, Done i'm gonna say,
yes mostly because you're Allowing gospein to kind of get
in the group there in the first sinning and having
an abrupt pause for him to take the. Time you
know how long those challenges can. TAKE i would have
liked to have seen one. THERE i didn't see the
camera angle never payned over to the. DUGOUTS i didn't
get to see what the engagement was Between dan and
the bench coach of when they were deciding if their

(01:10:26):
interview or.

Speaker 3 (01:10:27):
Not but when they.

Speaker 11 (01:10:28):
Did the play in solo, MOTION i felt like the
broadcast spent more time on it than maybe the coaching staff,
did and when they really slowed it, down it was so.
Close but we also know how these re insur replays.
Go it's got to be clear and decisive information to
turn it. OVER i don't think we had, that so
we probably would have. Lost but it doesn't, mean you,
know we don't take a shot on a run scoring
play in a playoff.

Speaker 6 (01:10:49):
Game Ryan healley is with us reacting to yesterday's three
to one win in THE alcs over The Toronto Blue
jays's also using his morning to On zoom with us
flaunt his advantage looks and hair doing. That. YEAH i
know he's even got a you, know perfect pearly white
smile as. Well, yeah that's really, cool real. Cool, Heally,

(01:11:12):
yeah thanks a. Lot it's like gast me up this one,
day thank you so, much Like shaq posting up Spud
web and this hair. Battle but THAT i got going, on,
right now With. Ryan all, right So Logan, GILBERT i
mean this is this is new. TERRITORY i mean it
was different for him to throw two innings of. Relief and,

(01:11:32):
yeah he got juiced up by the, crowd as you might,
understand and got to walk in from the bullpen the other.

Speaker 3 (01:11:39):
Night but, now on two days, rest coming off of
two innings of, relief how do you think he reacts
today in game number two against The Blue.

Speaker 11 (01:11:48):
JAYS i think Bryceon miller Or Bryce miller sent the
tone yesterday LIKE i DON'T i don't feel like he's
stepping into this game concerned or. ANYTHING i feel like
he's he's confident in not just his ability to execute
against this offensive lineup for The Blue, jays but he's
at this point boys like we're, Numb like we don't feel,

(01:12:10):
Pain there is no, sores it doesn't. Matter let's rip,
it let's. Go i'm sure he's excited to throw a
few more fastballs this. Outing i'm sure we'll see that from.
Him but the way that the spin and the splitter
was working Last saturday was. Tremendous the way that he's
gonna come out, here fill the strike zone up and
we're if we can get him through. Five the work,
static but he also knows we have have more depth behind.

(01:12:31):
Him now we did See Brian wus on this. Roster you,
know The Luis castillo is gonna be able to. Pitch
we have four legitimate starting, pitchers probably five if we're arguing,
this and this is gonna be an opportunity for him
to go out. There the bullpen had an extra day,
rest so we have some. Cushion but he's not thinking
about that when he steps on that.

Speaker 3 (01:12:47):
Mound he wants.

Speaker 11 (01:12:48):
Nine AND i know that his side day ended up
being two winnings in a elimination playoff, game and maybe
that was a little more high. Stress but every, day every,
pitch every out is high stress in the, playoffs so
he's not thinking about. THAT i think we're going to
see a Quality Logan gilbert the guy we've seen all,
season And i'm excited to watch him compete.

Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
TONIGHT i think so. Too and YET i also think
that this offense that went out and scored, whatever you,
know forty runs against The yankees and then goes one
for twenty eight after that leadoff home run In game,
ONE i think they're gonna be HUNGRY i think you're
going to be. DIALED i think you're going to have
to make good quality pitches so that you don't run
into trouble early in big time. Trouble and so when

(01:13:25):
it comes to this, lineup how much do you balance The, Yeah,
phillips strike zone, attack get them on their, heels but
also be a little bit careful because we saw, that
you know that last series they can do some serious.

Speaker 11 (01:13:37):
Damage that's been the conversational postseason because this team's motto
was win pitch one and then win the one one.
Counts they're winning those even counts in the first pitch
of the at. Bats that's that's. Big that's the whole
development from the minor, leagues for the system at The.
Mariners there are pockets of this lineup, where, yes you
maybe have to be a little MORE i don't even
like the word, cautious but executing to a really high

(01:13:58):
standard at that, Point i'm looking At, Springer, Guerrero Kirk
varshow yes or, no BUT i feel like you can
keep these guys in the. Yards you guys saw a
lot of big swings from This Blue jays team, yesterday
right like these boys were trying to do. DAMAGE i,
Mean luke's in the first inning was trying to leave
the stadium like he wasn't just trying to leave the.
Yard he's trying to leave the. Stadium and we have

(01:14:19):
some guys on our team doing the same. Thing but
it's reading what the hitter is showing You india bat
and then making adjustments off of. That so for, ME
i Think logan's stuff is so good that he can
air on the side of fill it up more than,
cautious just because he has weapons and he can use
in different, situations runners in scoring, position multiple, guys ducks

(01:14:39):
on the.

Speaker 3 (01:14:39):
Pond let's be a little more. CAUTIOUS i understand.

Speaker 11 (01:14:42):
That but if they don't win strike, one then they're
gonna have a really hard time getting to the really
good stuff that he.

Speaker 3 (01:14:47):
Has all, right.

Speaker 6 (01:14:48):
Last thing for, you and we'll let you, go all.
RIGHT i gotta get your opinion on, this because Both
bryce And logan yesterday revealed that Sometimes cal comes out
to the mound for a visit and just stares at.
Them he doesn't say, Anything he just stares at them
because they're messing it, up they're monkeying it, up and
then he just walks. Away you've been on a few

(01:15:10):
meetings on a, mound third, basement first baseman coming in
on the. Side have you ever heard of a catcher
coming out calling a mound visit and not saying a.

Speaker 3 (01:15:20):
Word just staring at his. PICTURE i WISH i could be.
SURPRISED i don't know If.

Speaker 11 (01:15:26):
CAL i don't Think cal has, kids but he has
that dad face when he comes out.

Speaker 3 (01:15:29):
To look at the.

Speaker 11 (01:15:30):
Pictures he usually looking up at a lot of these
pictures just as they're, monsters and he just gives them
those eyes of, like you, know you know Why i'm.
Here you KNOW i don't want to be here right,
now but you also know what you need to do
to not make me come back out. Here so if
you don't do, it then we're gonna be. Fine but
if you, Don't i'm gonna see you in the tunnel
and we're gonna have some.

Speaker 3 (01:15:48):
Words but That's.

Speaker 11 (01:15:49):
Cal he's the leader of the, team and a really
great leader doesn't have to say. Much their, presence their
face it'll tell you. Everything and if you've ever met my,
wife her face tells you anything and everything you ever
need to know without saying a dang. Word so maybe
that's what cal has the effect on his pitching. Staff
i'm not, Mad i'm just disappointed. Time all, right, well

(01:16:10):
we'll do it again. Today thank you, man we appreciate.
It we'll talk to you.

Speaker 3 (01:16:13):
Tomorrow can't. Wait mans Ran E lee joining.

Speaker 6 (01:16:17):

right we'll talk more about It friday Night. Sunday two
