Speaker 1 (00:00):
I hope we're not about to be killed. It's one
more thing. I'm one more thing before we get to
whatever we're gonna talk about. Uh the podcast, The computer
behind me is grinding?

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
What that noise is? What is that?

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Does that?

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Could that mean?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
It?

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Hanson, you know a lot about computers. When a computer
starts going, does that mean it's about to explode? Or
just the hard drive is gonna crap out? Or what
does that mean?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Yeah? That means he's gonna explode real soon.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
I think it's gonna break down.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Well, you've got to consult a computer museum. How old
are those things?

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Yeah? I ain't a good sound though.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
I mean a five year old computer is a relic,
and those are they got to be a decade old,
aren't they? Oh?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
God, more than that?

Speaker 2 (00:49):
All right? Really it's ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Yeah, just my computers never make noises like that. Okay,
So anyway, that's in a side. Oh we're talking a
little bit on the radio show Armstrong Engetty radio show
about travel dysmorphia. I guess that's a term somebody came
up with. It's the common feelings some people have that
other people have traveled more than I have, and you
feel bad about yourself, and I guess it's dysmorphia because

(01:16):
it's often not true. You get it through looking at
their social media, and your impression is they're constantly traveling
the world and you aren't. I just wanted to throw
out because I always find this is interesting. So many
of the people I know that have traveled the world
a lot have hardly been anywhere in the United States, partially,
I guess because there's no social cachet with that, right.
You can't say I've been to all fifty states and oh, yeah,

(01:38):
I've been to I don't know, you know, pick your place.
I've been to Wyoming, I've been to Alabama. You're not
going to impress your friends. In fact, they probably laugh
at you, even though I think there's tremendous value in
knowing a lot about the own dang your own dang
country and the different cultures that exist in it, in
the different points of views and all different sort of stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
And if you're looking for breath taking views, oh judy,
or fascinating culture and art and whatever, it's all here.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, It's just just doesn't carry any social credit,
so people aren't into it. Other thing I was going
to say. I was going to talk about how proud
I am of my son. Listen to this text I
got for my son. So my son is homeschooled, and
then he's got a couple of independent classes he takes
through the school, and he had one of those today
which he did not make it to, and he sent

(02:27):
me this text, Dad, I set my alarm for the
wrong time, and I'm not going to be able to
make it to school. He talks about how there's not
enough time. Even if I rode my bike, I wouldn't
get there till it's over. I emailed my teacher about it.
I'm sure he's going to send me to the work.
Please don't be angry. This is the first time something
like this has ever happened in my whole life. He's thirteen.

(02:47):
I legitimately thought today was Wednesday. I'm an imbecile. I
should be whipped for my ignorance. Wow.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Whoa wow?

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Does he sound at all like me?

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Many so?

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Anyway, the fact that he's upset about that, is upset
about that, is that makes me happy. Yeah, that's you know.
It's one thing you want out of your kids is
for them to have some just innate conscientiousness.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Well, sure, right, that's that's a manly statement of facts
and apology. On the other hand, as a spinmeister, I
appreciate his going so over the top in self flagellation
that it seems weird for you to pile on. That's
a good strategy. You think it was just that he's

(03:33):
no fool, that boy of yours.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
He also is very conscientious. He's just got that gene,
thank god. And then we got this to wrap out
the podcast today. Does this need any setup? Hantson? No,
no setup, what's over? It's we're looking at the video
while it happens. He used to be a guy who's like,
I don't know, thirty five years old, wear in a suit.
I don't know what this is, you know, I don't uh.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
I don't come from any kind of money, and I've
never owned a suit before. My wife she bought me
this suit. Our anniversary is coming up, and we have
a nice anniversary plan. You know. We make a little
bit of money now, and I'm proud to say that

(04:19):
because that's certainly not where either one of us comes from.
And I feel good in this suit, man, and I
just want my wife to doe. She made me feel good.
It's a three hundred dollars suit. I never had nothing

(04:42):
like this before in my life. And I tell you what. Okay,
video flip here, so I'm gonna lose some of you.
I didn't know Charlie Kirk. Never met that guy before
in my life. And something else that I've never done
before in my life is believing God. I'm gonna wear

(05:03):
this suit to church. I'm gonna go to church. I'm
going to try to be a better father, husband and
leader from my family. Uh, they deserve that. My phone

(05:23):
fell down. I guess that's the devil trying to fuck
me up right or mess me up right now. I'm
gonna try y'all. Look at this suit. I look good, bro.
My wife made me feel this way. Charlie's made me
feel this way. Uh yeah, message over.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Yeah, that's nice. Everybody told us you got to see this.
That's cool, man. Havn't having having something that uh yeah,
like earned or got to is so much more enjoyable
than given to you means everything growing up with it

(06:11):
or whatever. It's just so huge. Anyway, that was cool.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Yeah, and you know the other theme of it, that's funny.
I just had a conversation about this, and I don't
want to get too specific, but living up to something,
if you have a conscience, not disappointing the people you

(06:35):
care about, is like the most powerful motivator on earth,
I think, for a lot of people. And I just
I think it's interesting that that guy saw a higher
standard for himself that he'd ever lived up to or
even thought about before, and thought, you know what, I

(06:57):
want to live up to that standard. I just thought
that was really interesting. I can be better than I am.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
You look you good in the suit too.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
It's a nice looking suit. Well, I guess that's it.
