(00:00):
It's KFI AM six forty and you'relistening to the Conway Show on demand on
the iHeartRadio app. It's Conway Show. Mark Thompson's in the house. Thank
you everybody please as we say it, Oh my gosh, I'm humbled.
I'm gratified. Kind oh man,oh man, oh yes, yes,
yes, yeah, so we're here. Wow, look at you Conway.

(00:24):
You're going along with you, buddy. When you come through this place is
like the mayor or something that crossout of their offices. They stop what
they're doing to say, hi,well you know what once in a while,
you know, in radio, you'reonly as good as your last ratings.
Yes, period, right, youknow that's it. And we had
a really good podcast download number comein. I see, and I think

(00:49):
it was they want to be aroundsuccess. No, I think that that.
And Krozer you you know this becauseyou've been in radio much longer than
I have. When just true, but when when the numbers are good,
they can't get rid of you. It's harder usually, yeah, harder to
get rid of you. Yeah. And so congratulations to Mark of course.

(01:14):
On Tuesday, uh Steph fuj Krozier, Angel and Bellio and a little bit
of myself. But we had weaccount for twenty six percent of the downloads
on the station. That's very impressious. Sure, yeah, I mean we're
eight percent of the week. Youknow, if you clug twenty four hours
a day, seven days a week. It's a number that I can't even

(01:34):
get my head around. But thatnumber should have been shared with me because
I just you know, they say, don't talk about the air, so
awesome, shouldn't be shared with you. Yeah, but it was nice because
now they you know, it's anothermonth. They can't get rid of me,
you know, I mean they couldlook anybody can go at any time.
Yeah, and they always say, like like when a guy leaves,

(01:55):
like, oh, never listen tothat station again. Ten minutes later they're
listening again. Yeah, they're listeningto new guy. Like the new guy
better, and they like the newhost, you know, the new format
better. It's it's wild, likewhen you had that radio station you're working
up in San Francisco and it justdied and went to another format, different
format, and people just listen tothat format. In that case, it
might not maybe not because it sportsgambling. Oh yeah, So you go

(02:19):
from like heavy news talk and politicsto sports gambling. Is that really that
different from this show? Well, this is the exception. You're right.
How would they throw Mark Thompson offa new off a gambling show, sports
gambling show. I'm glad to beoff of it. I thought they I
thought it was called K A RK. That's all you do is gamble on

(02:43):
sports man. Come on there. How insulting is that? Like? Like,
how about this? How about theychanged KFI to the horse racing Station?
Right, and they go, yougot to get out of here.
Yeah you Tim Conoy Junior. No, we don't see you here in the
future. Now we're going with horseracing guys, and what's the new format

(03:07):
fans of horse racing? Guys thatbet too much on horse racing and it
affects their home life. Oh that'sthat's me, Like, no, no,
no, no, no, We'regonna go with guys who are a
little more familiar with the game.I've no, no, no, I've
been going since I was like twoyears old, and I'd spend more at
the track than I should. I'mperfect for this. No no, no,

(03:27):
we just don't see it with you. We just don't see it with
you. But buddy. They changedthat news format station to sports gambling,
right, which you love. Yeah, And they didn't decide to hold you
well, they did. They wentwith syndicated shows. You understand, what
they really did was they made adecision from a Atlanta, which is where

(03:47):
the company is. They have allof these different stations, the way I
Heart has a bunch of stations. But in this case they said, hmmm,
we can not pay any hosts, not pay any producers, not pay
any board ops. We go totallyautomated with syndicated shows that come out of
New York or whatever will run sportsgaming. They also expected that the sports

(04:08):
gaming proposition, which was in Californiaat the time and still to be voted
on, they thought it would pass. Of course it didn't, so they
made their own little gamble that didn'tquite work out. And they so to
be fair to them, I mean, they're not wrong. Like you get
rid of Mark Thompson, you don'thave to pay Mark Tompson anymore. You
have to pay all the other MarkThompsons who are there, and all those
other people I mentioned. And sonow you're running your station and you know

(04:30):
you run some syndicated like what arethose dog nutrient commercials over all the time,
cars for kids, whatever it is, and before you know it,
you're making money without having to payanybody. So they just kind of did
that. But it is sports gambling, which is what which if you tune
in the station, that's what they'retalking about. You know, Mark,
we both fell for this, whichI'm shocked because we both know better.

(04:53):
Yes, but there are sports radioshows that a guyle will come on and
you do a great impression. Yougotta do the impression of the guy doing
the sports you know, the gamblingpitch. Well, well, he does
what they do, and they allhave some manner, and you know they
the best guys are the guys withsome like heavy regional accent, like New

(05:14):
Yorkers, because they sound platible. They sound like, gosh, this from
the street. You know. Youknow, Bobby, my platinum play goes
off this weekend. It's weird thatit would be this weekend, but this
is perhaps the best play I've seenin five years of handicap. It's my
platinum play. You call my tripleeight number. If it doesn't come through
for someone, believe me, it'sgoing to. But if it doesn't,

(05:36):
you'll get free plays for the nextmonth. My platinum play this weekend,
and I called yeah, so Igot hooked up with that guy and he
gave me loser after loser after loser, and then I chased yeah, you
know, and then all of asudden he says, Okay, he goes
another one hundred dollars and I'll giveyou ten plays for free. You're guaranteed

(05:56):
to win. I'll give you ahundred dollars back. I'm like, oh,
really, okay, I made theplays and didn't work out, didn't
walk out. The upshell is whatthey do. Once you're in. Then
they want more money because for thereal plays, I've got eight better plays
for you or whatever it is.It's a I mean, they really do.
They do ropien though, man, because what happens is you're desperate.
You're thinking, you know, youknow, do one eight hundred beat the

(06:17):
book? One eight hundred beat thebook. I've got operators standing by to
share this is inside information, announcebut you know what it Maybe there's a
thing. There's a term at theracetrack called stoppers, and a guy will
come this is this is almost exactlywhat this is. A guy will come
to me and he goes, hey, I love the one horse. He

(06:41):
goes, I really, where'd youhear that from jockey oder trainer? They
all love it better than one. It's a forty to one. Go with
the one. It's gonna win,all right, So I you know,
put a little taste on the one. That same stopper will go to you,
which is you know, you're likeforty feet away. They go,
hey, I love the two.He goes, what because I love the
two eleven to one? Yeah,I know, I heard the train trainer,
Jackie. I love the two.You got another guy, love the

(07:03):
three, love the flour, lovethe five, love the And he goes
down and he has nine different pockets, and then he remembers where he said
that he loved the seven because theseven one. You go back. He
goes, hey, partner, giveme a taste. Yeah, come on,
you put a little taste on itfor me, right buddy. And
those guys you know, and youknow who they are, and they come

(07:24):
by and they BSU with you know, really crappy information. But you know,
but it never ends though. Imean, you know, you get
a tip and real quickly I'll takeyou that. We gotta take break.
I was at Sant Nita. Inthe bathroom of the clubhouse, you gotta
walk down forty stairs. It's inthe dungeon there, and I walk down
there to go to the bathroom andthere's a guy throwing up in the stall

(07:47):
and he's yelling at his body. While he's throwing up, he's yelling and
goes, guys, put twenty outit for put twenty on it. Hood
he's throwing up and he's yelling theguy to put twenty on it. So
I go up the stairs get backto the box, and I said to
my dad, you know, Icanna believe this guy down there in the
bathroom throwing up in the toilet, yelling at a guy while he's throwing up.

(08:09):
And my dad, honest to God, said, who do you like?
Your dad is being funny though, but that's great. He wasn't.
And I said, I said,Dad, he's throwing up in the toilet
the track. Don't you think he'sout of luck? You only have a
certain amount of luck you have inlife. His is gone. He's throwing

(08:33):
up at the track yelling at hisbuddy. That's the luck is gone.
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior ondemand from KFI AM sixty. Your girl
Caitlin Clark. Oh, yes, snubbed from the Olympic team. Outrage,
Tim, it's an outrage. Yeah, I don't know what happened there.

(08:54):
Why would you not like if Ithink NBC is the home of the Olympics.
If I was the guy running NBC, I would call the the uh,
the you know, the coach ofthe women's basketball team and say,
you're putting Kaitlyn Clark on that team? Right? Every time she's on TV,
she gets twenty six million people towatch. It's funny. I'm going

(09:16):
down your list of players. Idon't see the Caitlyn Clark's name, right.
Oh yeah, we're not puting we'renot playing Kaitlyn Clark. Yeah you
are, Yeah, yeah you are. Yeah, Or we're getting a different
coach exactly. Why would they notdo that? I mean, who cares
who wins? You want to getthe most people to watch. Well,
and by the way, this justjan If you care about winning, she
can help you with that. Right. She's not a mascot. No,

(09:39):
she's one of the best players ever. Yeah, she's not a you know,
she's not you know, a personwho is an accountant at Wells Fargo.
Right, it's not as though she'sjust some relative of like the own
that's right. Like you know, sometimes in a movie you'll go, how
did that woman get in the movie? Or she must be having sex with

(10:01):
a producer, that's the only wayshe could be in the movie. So
who cares? Yeah, but thisis not that she's scorching it. She's
amazing, right, and yet somehowshe can be left off the Olympic team.
It's ridiculous. So why wouldn't NBCmake that call? Because ultimately you
have to make as much money asyou can on the Olympics because of how
much you pay for them to toyou know, to license them. And

(10:24):
so they're going to pay probably abillion dollars NBC is going to pay the
Olympic Committee a billion dollars US OlympicCommittee, whatever it is. And so
they want the stories, they wantthe backstories for people to watch. And
if Kaitlin Clark's not on that team, why would you watch. Yeah,
there's a thing about the Olympics. And this is really great that you point
this out, because there's a puritythat's sort of implied about the Olympics where

(10:48):
you would never have the kind ofconversation that you're you and I are talking
about, Like, you would nevermeddle with the you know, and mess
with the makeup of the team orwho's going or what gymnasts are being taken
or whatever. You just wouldn't dothat because because there's a purity about the
Olympics, even though we know thetruth. The Olympic Committee is corrupt and
there's all this other stuff, right, but but you never, as a

(11:11):
network or a network president be ableto make that call. So it's a
weird thing that NBC has, asyou say, paid all this money,
and yet they are watching this mostdesirable person ever. Yeah, and maybe
in all of the Olympics, she'sright up there with you know, the
who's the gymnast who is so talented? Yeah, exactly, Simone Bios.

(11:33):
She's like that degree of interest. Why wouldn't you have the Simone Biles of
basketball? You know? Instead, she's back here, you know, back.
It makes no sense. It's it'scrazy. It's crazy, And I
don't know the explanation for it,I really don't. I mean, why
would you not Look, it doesn'tmatter, you know, if you win

(11:56):
or lose. It really truly doesn't. I know, they want to win
a gold medal, but nobody cares. Nobody cares. I mean, you
know, when you win a goldmedal as an NBA player, I think
that's like ninth or tenth most importantto you. I think it's an NBA
title, it's your money, it'syour investments, it's your why. I
don't know, I think it mightbe higher than that. I think they

(12:18):
think of winning it. Yeah, but but I take your point, which
is that it's it's of different importanceto different people. They never talk about
when you talk to an NBA playerthat's won a gold medal of the Olympics.
That's not how they start, youknow, like, oh, I
couldn't believe we went to Barcelona andwon gold, But really, who cares?
Who cares? I can see wherewas it? Remember when we when

(12:39):
all those NBA players were playing inthe Olympics. Well, but I liked
it better when it wasn't professionals. When they had to have college kids go
in there and try to and tryto win it, that meant something to
them, right, you know MagicJohnson and you know Kobe Bryant. Yeah,
but the thinking was you want tosee the best in a sport compete,
which is usually what the Olympics is. But your your points are well
taken that you know, when somebodyis being making any money, they're not

(13:03):
allowed in the Olympics anymore, right, So you don't have the best right
I had. I had this discussionwith my wife over the weekend. I
said, actually it was with mywife, but it started with a friend
of ours. It was a longconversation. But this person believes that a
trans woman should be on could beon women's team, right, and that

(13:26):
that's the person we're having this secsessionwith. I said, okay, I
said, would it be okay foran able body person to be in the
special Olympics? They said no,why would you even say that? I
said, why wouldn't it be Andthey said, well, because that person
is probably going to be an advantage. I said, yeah, but that's
exactly what the trans man is goingto have an advantage playing in the women's

(13:48):
league. And she's like, well, it's not it's not the same.
I said, okay, well tellme why it's not the same and try
to convince me it's not the same. And that's when slamming the door and
walking out and the whole. It'squite a conversation. Yeah, I'm sorry
I missed that one. Yeah, but I think that if you don't include
Caitlin Clark, it's saying that youdon't you have to expand that sport.

(14:13):
You know that sport is not thatsport they're paying those athletes. Here's how
little they're paying WNBA athletes. Ifyou take all of them in a group,
right, every single woman that playsin the WNBA, and you total
their salary, Lebron James makes fourtimes that, sure, or three times

(14:35):
that. I think it's three. He makes three times a year. One
guy makes three times a year whatall of them make together. You put
all their salaries together, multiply itby three, and you get Lebron James
salary. You've got to increase that. And the way to increase that are
eyeballs for advertisers. Bottom line, that's the only way you can increase it,
the only way. She's also inaddition, gracious, she's a great

(15:00):
ambassador for the sport. Right, everything you want. She's one of the
most marketable athletes to come up insome time. You want her part of
things, and she happens to beextraordinarily talented and the only people that hate
her are the people that can thatcan directly take advantage of her, of
her expanding that sport. Yeah, the people who should be loving her are

(15:20):
the people who are hating her. That's right. Yeah, I'm not loving
her. Is it's not a slogan? Or is that McDonald? I haven't
seen that yet. I'm not lovingit. Isn't that McDonald's slogan, or
I'm loving it? Have you time? I wouldn't think. I wouldn't think,
Yeah, I'm loving it. Right, they're not loving her. Okay,
bye, we'll go back and talka little bit about what some of
the athletes I think it was StephenCurry had to say, Boy, you're

(15:43):
listening to Tim Conway Junior on demandfrom KFI. I am six forty,
which about Kaitlyn Clark. She isnot going to be in the Olympics.
Huge mistake. Let's find out what'sgoing on. Some more inside information.
Well, Clark's first season in theWNBA has been an offensive spectacle or Clark
to step back three just below thelogo drills it for people who don't know

(16:07):
who she is. She played forUniversity of Iowa. She scored more points
than any male or female in collegebasketball. Then she went on to the
Indianapolis Fever and or Indiana Fever andI before she came on the scene,
the WNBA would get three or fourhundred thousand people to watch a televised game.

(16:30):
When she was playing in the finals, it was twenty six million people
and I was one of them.I set my DVR and I sat down
the bowl of popcorn to watch that. And I never have done that in
my life. I have never setmy DVR for a women's college basketball game
ever. Smarter of fact, here'show rare it was. I set my

(16:51):
DVR to copy that show or torecord that show, and I've never seen
that before. But it comes onafterward and says, are you sure?
And then there's a box there andI clicked it. I said yeah,
And I guess I'd never taped anythinglike that before. So they thought it
was a mistake the machine. Itseems the record setting rookies performance won't be
enough to propel her to the Olympicsin Paris next month. She won't be

(17:14):
on the Olympic team next month.Wow, So it's familiar with the matter.
Telling NBC News, Clark will notbe among the twelve players on Team
USA's preliminary women's basketball roster. I'mgonna make a prediction that she's on that
team. I'm gonna make a predictionthat NBC steps in, or the Olympic
Committee steps in, somebody steps inand says, hey, ladies, she's
on the team, or you're noton the team. I know they're not

(17:37):
going to say hey, ladies, why not? I think it just think
some hey girls, Hey, whowas it that did that? J Loois,
Jerry Lewis. If they do it, they gotta do it like Jerry
Lewis did. But Krouzer does thebest. But you gotta hang la,

(18:00):
ladies, whether you like it ornot, She's getting on that plane.
That's great. Clark speaking out aboutthe decision on Sunday, Honestly, no
disappointment, Like I think he's justgive you something, something to work for
a determined Clark also talking about itwith the Indiana Fever head coach. The
thing she said was, hey, coach, they woke a monster. Well,

(18:21):
no official announcement has been made. The leak is a letdown for some
fans. For some fans, whyis Kalen Clark not in the women's basketball
team. Yeah, it's a greatquestion. Sounds like a caller to the
station. Hey, line three,Gary from Bakersfield. You're on KFI with
Mark and Tim. Why is KalenClark not in the women's basketball team?
Yeah, thanks for the call. We're just talking about that. Let's go

(18:42):
with Bob out and Fullat and Bob, you're on KFI with Mark and Tim.
Why is Kalen Clark not in thewomen's basketball team? You know,
we're just discussing that. And Mark, you had an interesting observation that she's
not that good something to shoot for, is Caitlin? That's right? If
you're trying to go for that's right. Well we got to do better,
Like, come on, this islike, this is the Michael Jordan of

(19:04):
women's basketball. Clark's popularity has ledto record breaking viewership, crowds and merchandise
sales for the WNBA. Hear thatgirls, Hey girls. Cularity has led
to record breaking viewership crowds. Alitis. Clark's popularity has led to record breaking
viewership, crowds and merchandise sales forthe WNBA. They all complain about how

(19:25):
low their salary is, and nowthey have an opportunity to expand it by
getting more viewers on TV, andthey said, no, why not say
hey, good news for you guys. You're right, all that money,
all that attention, it would spoilyou. Better not to take Caitlin.
We'll just toil over here, barelywatched by anyone, and if they'll travel
by bus. If she was theOlympics playing on that team, I'd watch

(19:48):
every game. If she's not anthe Olympics, not watching and I'm not
watching any of those games. Butalso I'm not alone. I'm probably in
the wild majority. But also whyI don't understand. You know, before
Caitlin Clark came on the scene atthe w NBA, you know that they
all flew commercial. I think there'sonly one team that flew charter. And
now because of her, they allfly charter, they all fly private,

(20:11):
all of them, all the teams, that's because of her. Yeah.
Wow. But some critics say onthe court, she's yet to live up
to the hype. It's just nother time, because there who cares?
She is yets a little up tothe hype? Who cares? She's double
teamed and you know, and roughedup on every play. It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter as long as peoplewatch, it doesn't matter. Yeah,

(20:33):
you're right, she's being punched inthe face. Well she plays.
It's just not her time because thereare twelve more deserving women, if not
more, in front of her.Okay again, who cares? You got
to you got to concentrate on viewers. God almost swore. Don't these women
understand this? Don't these but don'tthe men who own it, or the

(20:55):
women who own it, or theyou know whatever it is. Don't the
owners of the w N understand thatthat league has got to start to take
off because it's been subsidized by theNBA forever. They've been around for how
long? WNBA twenty five years,im I tell you, and nobody up
until now cared nobody. As amatter of fact, I was at a

(21:15):
bar a couple of years ago andguy said, hey, I got the
two Sparks tickets a third row anythey want them. Bar was fulled,
going once, going twice now,So he puts them and he takes a
thumb pin and puts some pins intoa bulletin board in the back of the

(21:37):
bar. He says, the backhere if anybody wants them, all right,
he comes in the next day, they're still there. There's two more
tickets pinned to him. The Americanwomen have been undefeated in Olympic competition since
nineteen ninety two and of once.Okay, do you hear that? The
American women have been undefeated in Olympiccompetition since nineteen ninety two. Okay,

(21:57):
it went thirty two years winner. So they think she's gonna she's gonna lose
for them. No, it's nota lose thing they think. I mean,
obviously you know this, but I'lljust say it. They think that
these other women who are on theteam, other players have been around a
long time, They've paid their dues, they deserve were Olympics. But I

(22:18):
mean, all things being equal, what I would say is, but all
things aren't equal. I mean, you've got Caitlin Clark, who's heading shoulders
above most of the players you've taken. She's going to be on that team.
Trust me, she's going to beon that team. NBC's going to
step in and have won seven straightgold medals, seven straight gold medals.
Who cares? They are heavily favoredto make it eight in Paris with a

(22:40):
stacked veteran team said to include BritneyGriner and Diana Tarassi Well. USA Basketball
would not comment on the roster toolong time, but unnamed US basketball vets
told USA Today there was concern overhow Clark's millions of fans would react to
what would likely be limited playing time. Here's what I think is going to
happen. All right, we'll comeback. I'm gonna tell you what's gonna

(23:02):
happen. What they said, Okay, okay, when we come back,
I'm gonna tell you what's gonna happen. You're listening to Tim conwaytun You're on
demand from kf I am six forty. Stephen A. Smith is talking about
Kaitlyn Clark not make him the Olympicteam. But I got a I think
I got a prediction for you.As a matter of fact, I know
I've got a prediction. But Ithink it's gonna be right. I think

(23:23):
one of those girls, one ofthose ladies, one of those women.
Can you call them women nowadays?I think you can. You can players.
You may want to says it inthere. The title the W n
B A W stands for women, right, you can call them women?
Is that insulting. No, Ialways wondered what the w stod for?
Thank you women, Yeah, thankyou. But I think that one of

(23:47):
those women on that team is goingto say, hey, I think Kaitlyn
Clark would would really get a lotof attention, a lot of eyeballs for
you other win him and I'm goingto step aside and let her take my
place. And that person who doesthat is going to get millions of followers

(24:08):
on social media, get a lotof praise, and get a lot of
money working at social media angle.Yeah, and she'll become a household name.
Now short terms, you'll get it, but now it'll be forgotten in
thirty six hours. I'm telling you, I'm telling you, I know what's
going to happen. Okay, I'msorry. I can see the future.
I didn't realize that, all right, Stephen A. Smith on ESPN?

(24:32):
Is he still with ESPN? Ithink it is right. Okay, See
what he had to say. Ihad or I'm not going to mention his
name, but I had somebody that'swell renowned in this business, in this
journalism business. ME use the wordtragic, Andrea. He used the word
tragic to describe what you're expressing thereis an absence in what you're saying of

(25:00):
the big picture. You went ona soliloquy just minutes ago talking about how
you're not willing to compromise your integrity. Nobody is talking about individuals compromising the
integrity. We don't have to gothere. I'm not compromising my integrity.
Shanay is it You ain't channing,It ain't nobody. That's not what this

(25:22):
subject is about. This is abouthistory and what history has shown us,
and our willingness to open our eyesand pay attention to the reality, not
to utopia, not to what wewant something to be, but what it
actually is. Meanay loses me,and any human being is going to lose
me when we're literally focusing on thecontent or the quality of our roster without

(25:48):
bringing up the fact individual a twotime champion, a national champion, one
of the greatest players to ever playin NBA history. The name of Isaiah
Tos was with the wrong audio.Gotta set the set the table to tell
you this is the wrong audio. You always do this to meet the table
by the name Isaiah Thomas was leftbuilding the dream team. Okay, okay,

(26:15):
that's good point. Isaiah Thomas wasleft off the Dream team, right,
Isaiah Thomas, You've got to bekidding me. It was a travesty
what they did to him. JohnStockton on the squad, I know he's
a Hall of Famer. I knowIsaiah introduced them. I know their buddies.
But that was highway robbery. Anybodywith two eyes that watched the NBA
knows that is one of the biggestcrimes in the history of Olympic competition.

(26:41):
There is no reason why Isaiah Thomasshould not have been on that off off
of that team, outside of certainplayers not wanting him on there. My
point is this, it was stilldone. Why because, as Shannon highlighted,
the ultimate appeasement was aimed in thedirection of another brother body name Michael
Jordan. It's how it goes. And we said it last week, and

(27:04):
I personally got accused of not promotingthe w NBA more by our lovely colleague
Monica McNutt. No problems with whatsoever, love it to death, but she
accused me of that, right,no problem. Then we go on to
acknowledge there are many others who didn'tdo enough of a job are promoting the
w NBA. You know, whywe didn't do a better job of promoting

(27:27):
the w NBA because the numbers, the eyeballs, the interests, the sizzle,
the headlines were not there. Yeah, that's my point. Yeah,
that's my point exactly, the landingfor you stealing my act. Yes,
no one cared. The public didn'tcare. If you have somebody, that's

(27:52):
my take. No one cared. The public didn't care. That's right,
public didn't care. Now you havesomebody, and so now you have somebody
that has the world caring, andyou say to her, well, you
know what, we want to makecuarly basketball decisions. It's the right thing
to do when we got to beworried about how other people are going to

(28:15):
feel. But you're still complaining aboutthe mac salary being two hundred and fifty
thousand. You're still complaining about theabsence of eyeballs. You're still complaining about
the lack of headlines and notoriety andpub and cachet. You're complaining about all
of these things. And the oneperson who has proven they can alleviate that
concern that could ultimately serve to benefitthe better hole. I think we're gonna

(28:38):
come finally get her name by fromStephen A. Smith. Now we want
to sit up there and get aaltruistic and stuff and talking about Hey,
it's about the sactity of the gameand the level of competition. You gonna
win by thirty without her, justlike you'd win by thirty with her,
and don't make a difference. Youmake the call because of the betterment the

(29:00):
whole. In the end, thatis not compromising your intiguity. That is
business, and y'all are gonna findthat out. Yeah, communism though you
know what smid might be, butthat's where the direction we're going in so
in this country. So you know, it just makes sense. You know,
he never mentioned her name and didnot he made a compelling argument with

(29:21):
not one. Yeah, he maymentioned an argument, and it's my argument.
Yeah, I mean, you know, I probably could be on ESPN.
I've chosen, you know, anotherroute in life because I don't want
to be hand honestly, God Crozier, I swear to God, I come
in there and I'll whip your asson the air. I won't do it
off the air this time. I'mbarrassedyou and I'll do it right on the
air. I will do it righton the air. If you're on ESPN.

(29:45):
And and Steve and A Smith werejust a young guy coming up,
and he was like a phenom. He was clearly making a big ripple in
the industry, right, And theysaid, hey, Tim, well,
you think you're great, but weneed you to kind of step aside for
them, because stephen A is aheart beating guy. You would step away
in a heartbeat. Okay. Yeah. The woman that steps aside on that

(30:06):
w NBA team to allow Caitlin Clarkand the eyeballs that will be on that
team is going to be a superheroin the eyes of millions of Americans.
And she's gonna make a lot ofmoney. And again, Steven A.
Smith is right, they're gonna winby thirty with her, They're gonna win
by thirty without her. It doesn'tmatter. It doesn't matter. And now
if they want people to see it, they want her. Yeah, without,

(30:29):
without her, you'll win by thirty. No one will see it.
Imagine the uproar though, if theydid lost lose without her. Oh how
about the uproar if they lost withher? They put her on the team
and they lose by a buzzer beaterthat she misses. How about that now
they don't have to even think aboutthat. Wow, you guys have really
run their scenarios on this. Allright, that's our ESPN segment. Job.

(30:53):
Nice job. We'll come back andwe'll do the Animal Planet Hour next.
