They're gonna put a pool in there. Sofi Stadium will be the home
of Olympics swimming. I think that'sa mistake. How are they gonna do
that? And you're gonna have seventythousand people? Look at swimming. There

(03:21):
are seventy thousand people in this worldthat love swimming. They're not all coming
here, man oh Man. Configureto thirty eight thousands. Where they gonna
do swimming the pond outside of SofiStadium? Play polo in that pond.

of there walking by and we heardthis. She goes, what the hell's

(06:39):
that? I said, they're havinga swim meet. Oh really? And
you went in and saw that?Oh hell no? Oh okay, how
exclusive is the Claremont Club. It'spretty pricey to be in. This is

pretty pricey. And and what's atthe Claremont Club? Is it golf?
They have like forty something No,no, no, they have like forty

(07:00):

They got it. Yeah, it'sa pretty big and you can sign for
meals. Yeah with your account andall that stuff. He's like that,
yes, absolutely, kind of acool deal. Yeah, so you're Richie
I guess I think it was acompany discount with my ex. You know,

(07:21):
those clubs are cool to belong to. My dad belonged to a club
called it's now Bramer, but itwas used to be called Dovell or Doval,
Dovell, Dovell, and I wasastonished how inexpensive it was for an
entire family. Is one hundred andeighty five hours for a year. It
is an interesting dynamic when you're inthere. You go to I used to

(07:42):
just like work out all the time, and then I go in there,
it take a shower and I geta steam or something like that, and
it is an interesting dynamic in thatlocker room. At clubs like that,
are the older guys comfortable walked aroundnude instead of everybody just don't care and
very conversational. Oh no, conversational, just oh really just hanging around.
Oh my god, that's the worst. I don't know what age you hit

(08:07):
where you want to be nude aroundother guys and talk. But I'm not
there yet. Especially if they recognizeyou and they start to make conversation,
ask what you do, and thenthey realize, oh, you're that guy
that I know on the radio.Just button naked right in front of him.
Uncomfortable with you knowing who I am? See, I think I would
get a lot of They look mein the eye, ding, and then
they look down and say dog dingdog. Yeah, thanks Larry. This

(08:31):
it's better than the other way around, where they look down and say ding.
And every guy's name is Larry.Yeah, Tom Howard, Hey Howard?
Have you met Larry? You guysare both nude? You want to
talk? Yeah? Mightn't you guyscommiserate your naked selves? And why is
it? Also? Everyone smells likebrute in here? Is that that's going
on? Here's a no door. You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand

(08:54):
from KFI AM six forty. Allright, we have a man in Malibu
that sold for a record amount ofmoney. So guys out there that are
broke, you're gonna love this story. Unbelievable. The guy who owns Oakley
sunglasses? Is that the Oakley people? Sunglasses? What else they do?

(09:15):
Purses? Shoes? What does Oakleymake shoes? Shirts? Cough medicine,
Sirs, cough medicine? Is thatright? That's true? I thought you
were a kidding grocer. Okay, cough medicine. All right, here we
go. Oakley Sunglasses founder James JANNERDhas sold his Maliver mansion for record breaking

(09:35):
two hundred Where's that mansion? Alexhas sold his Maliver mansion? Maliber down
there? Malimer going on Malabre hassold his Malib mansion for record breaking two
hundred and ten million dollars. Whatthe highest home sale price ever in California.

(09:56):
It beats out Jay Z and Beyonce, who paid two hundred million dollars
for their mega mansion last year. What? This estate was bought by a
Delaware based limited liability company. Whatand talk about Bilo cell High. Janner
purchased the mansion in twenty twelve forseventy five million. What so it nearly
tripled in value? Oh, that'sa cool comment there, So it tripled

(10:22):
in value. It went from seventyfive to two hundred and ten million dollars.
Yeah, let's look up that guywith the ah that chick with this
guy? Ah? What wow? What? What wow? Yeah? That's
electronic daisy music type. Maybe I'llbring that to I mean, what do

(10:43):
you do with all those rooms? Why? A big party all around?
I mean when you look at itand grounds and I mean you could you
could throw quite a party. Imean, you could live with somebody,
your spouse and not even though you'reliving in the same house. Eyone,
who's that? Who's gonna now occupythat place? Well? Yeah, they
say a corporation. Maybe they'll useit for parties and stuff. Gym in

(11:05):
one room? What a few babyroom room? Yeah? A lot.
C congratulations to this corporation, Iguess, man, oh man, that's
a lot. Hey, we didn'tfinish up with the Olympics. We we
We learned that the swimming is goingto be at so far, but where

(11:28):
is everything else? Crypto dot ComArena will host gymnastics. Uh Crypto dot
com. Okay, that's downtown usedto be Staples. They're gonna be Olympics.
Crypto dot Com Arena will host gymnasticsat the new Intuit Arena will be
the home of basketball for a recordthird summer games though. Okay, so
basketball will be at the Clippers stadium. That's cool. Coliseum will host track

(11:50):
and field and where else would youhave it? And a bazar turn events.
Part of the LA Games will bein Oklahoma City, Oklahoma City,
what event's going to be in OklahomaCity. Canoe slalom and softball will be
held there due to the lack ofproper venues here in LA. Wait a
minute, you couldn't get a softballvenue between here in Oklahoma City. There's

(12:13):
no place to play softball. Ithink they should go to bal Ball Park.
I saw a diamond there. Iwas there years ago. But there's
another one in Allegian Park. Whatis that place called that stadium out there?
Dondra Stadium? You play there,Angel Stadium, u seela us.
See, there's plenty of places. They're going to send all the softballers out

(12:37):
to Oklahoma City. Imagine that youmake the Olympics and you come to the
United States. Oh, where isit going to be? Where? Sha?
I say, Beverly Hills. No, no, no, right outside
of Oklahoma City, fifteen hundred milesaway. What canoe slalom and softball will
be held there due to the lackof proper venues here in LA and to
keep the cost down. How coolit me to see track and field at

(12:58):
the Colisseum. Yeah, I meanthat's where they should have it. That's
just historic. Yeah all right, that's uh, that's cool. We're all
ready for the Olympics. For shortyears, we'll have the Olympics. It's
after ring busted. The cops gotthem cops. We got to ride along
with labd's Organized Retail Crime Task Forceas they served search and arrest warrants at

(13:22):
a sont de La family's home.Got old school. Come out with your
hands up. Come on, Budsy, put your hands up. The Vendoza
family is accused of stealing pricey perfumemen cologne from so call department stores usually

(13:43):
ignorse drums and Macy's. Well,it's the whole family. That's pretty rare.
Like, I don't think I couldtalk my family into a crime ring.
I think my mom about my wifeand my daughter probably talked me out
of it. But they got thewhole family on board in order to resell
them for profit. So they gointo various locations throughout the Los Angeles area
still perfume and then reached out.We were able to identify them, we

(14:07):
were able to find them, andtoday we serve the warrant and their residence.
Okay, but nobody in the familysaid, hey, you know,
can we let's all look at adifferent way to make some money. Everybody
in the family jumped on board andall ripping off Nordstrom and some of these
big department stores to resell the perfume. Detectives say arrested today the father fifty

(14:28):
year old for Me and Mendoza, the children twenty three year old for me
and and twenty year old Natalie.Wow, the whole family got involved,
all right, there's something to that, I guess right. Family that steals
together, stays together, that's gonna. That's that's an It's an odd thing
to be able to do, tohave that, you know, that skill,
to talk your whole family into beingone big gang. One of them

(14:52):
sat in the corner and read apaper maybe maybe right. One one person,
Yeah, I didn't know how tosteal perfume. And they're like I
get this. Yeah, And thenthe father's like, we're all going,
Yeah, that kid's gonna that kid'sgonna rat everybody out. Don't take him
with us. Yeah. The childrentwenty three year old for me and and

(15:13):
twenty year old Natalie, along withthe children's mother forty eight year old Gabriella
Lopez. Still on the loose.Dad's girlfriend. Wait what still on the
loose? Dad's girlfriend? Wait aminute, Dad's got the whole family stealing
for him, and he's got agirlfriend. We've got to get this guy

(15:35):
into government. He could he couldnegotiate the Salt Three Treaty with Russia with
his eyes closed. He has theskills to talk his whole family into stealing,
and he has a girlfriend on theside. What a guy. This

(15:56):
is my This guy's got to sellshirts. I'd wear that guy's face on
my on my shirt. This isone of the great guys of all time
that he has this kind of negotiatingskills still on the loose. Dad's girlfriend
and mom knows about dad's girlfriend.Wow. Man, what a relaxed household

(16:17):
this is. There seems to beno rules at this household. Maybe that's
why you couldn't get to your wifeor your daughter to play along with the
du Yeah, organized crime ring.So I can't I can't get any of
this going. I can't get mywife to steal any crap or my daughter.
I've been talked to before about havinga girlfriend on the side. That's

(16:37):
a no no in my house.I can't get any of this going.
This guy should do it. Whatare those things? Masterclass? Yes,
that's this guy would be Uh youknow, and they'd have to shut down
the computer be on fire. Wow, what a guy detective say. It's
not every day you see several generationscommitting crimes together like this. And the

(17:00):
thing that we're out here for todayis because it's a multi generational theft crew.
So there's a dad, what probablyis his girlfriend or maybe a stepmom,
and then two children and then anotherfriend that are going out and doing
this dire throughout the southern California areafrom anywhere from Torrence, Glendale, a
lot in Laa. I liked itthat the dad warned the girlfriend that the

(17:21):
fuzz was coming around and the momdidn't warn the mom. So the mom
went down with the ship, butthe girlfriend skated because dad laid some info
on the on the girlfriend that thefuzz was outside. That's an old term
robin for cops. You're listening toTim Conway Junior on demand from KFI AM

(17:45):
six forty. Maybe you've heard thisin the news. Netflix has a big
announcement and we always talk about streamersat six point thirty seven every Friday,
and this feature is being brought toyou by I Advanced Hair, One day
Dream and life changing Results. Makeyour appointment today at Advanced hair dot com.

(18:06):
Advanced hair dot Com. All right, today, when we talk about
streamers, Netflix is in the news. They're they're putting together a Netflix House
as it's an immersive experience experience comingnext year. The Netflix House, the
streaming giant just revealed its plans toopen Netflix House, a physical location with

(18:29):
immersive experiences for visitors to shop, eat and play in the worlds of its
most popular titles. Wow, likecompeting in squid games, attending a Bridgerton
ball, even eating foods cooked upon the cord cutting platforms. Is it?
Kay? I think one of thethings we've found at Netflix is when
you find a movie or TV showthat you're a fan of, you don't

(18:52):
just love it, you want tolive it. It's an idea Netflix has
been experimenting. I think that's forsome people. I don't think it's everybody.
I've never watched a show like Iused to love Southland about LAPD,
but I never went out and wantedto become a cop. I just enjoyed
the program. I watched Love Boat, but I never want to be a
captain of a cruise ship. Ijust watched the program, right, So

(19:15):
maybe there are some crazies out therewho need a little more in life,
is it kay? I think oneof the things we've found at Netflix is
when you find a movie or TVshow that you're a fan of, you
just watch it. You don't justlove it, you want to live it.
I think that's a small audience. It's an idea Netflix has been experimenting

(19:36):
with for years, opening temporary popup shops across the country. I understand
temporary pop ups, but I don'tknow. Maybe this works out, maybe
people are crazy. But starting nextyear, the so called Netflix House is
all open in permanent locations at theKing of Prussia Mall near Philadelphia and in
Texas at Galleria Dallas. This projecthas been over a year in discussion.

(20:00):
We've never done anything at this scale, at this level. This won't be
the streamers first investment in brick andmortar. The company has already purchased iconic
theaters in New York and LA Iunderstand opening theaters, but to open a
place where you go be a characterfrom a TV show, I don't know.
I think that's limited. Now it'sgoing all in on immersion. We

(20:23):
definitely plan to refresh it during theyear. We want to be able to
give fans a chance to get closerto those stories. It comes as interest
in immersive entertainment is booming. Popups are going viral on social media and
sending fans into a frenzy with newways to experience the things they love.
Yeah, but it's not a childa child's mind. Like you're watching Seinfeld

(20:47):
and all of a sudden, youwant to be Newman. You know,
you want to you want to bea character from Seinfeld and you go and
you participate with other people and youwant to be all be characters. That's
fomo. Yeah, I think it'sweird. I think it's odd. Yep.
Even look, Krozer, there's nobodyno bigger fan of TV than you.
You watch everything, You've seen everythinggood TV. Yeah, but I

(21:08):
don't see you go into one ofthese houses and being a character. Now.
I remember there was one a coupleyears ago that they opened up a
Stranger Things one they had the DayAmericana and I just had no interest.
And yeah, I think I mighthave mentioned it in there. They were
like thirty to fifty bucks to gointo that thing. I'm like, yeah,
when they did Stranger Things, theyhad to deal with Baskin Robbins,
and they turned the Baskin Robbins andBurbank into a Stranger Things Baskin Robbins,

(21:33):
and the line was around the block. I wanted to go to that so
bad. I couldn't get in thereanymore because the people that are Stranger Things
fans would would just swarm swarm theplace. Wait still believe it? Wait
so you're you're a big fan ofStranger Things. Oh yeah, and you
would go to that Basket Robbins justto get that experience. I wouldn't have
waited in that line, but Ireally wanted to go. And I remember

(21:56):
seeing the stories about that and nightit was just like, it looks so
awesome. Yeah, I guess itis if you know you like the program.
But I just wanted to get abowl of ice cream and get the
hell out of there. There's otherBaskin Robins too, I get it,
but I wanted to go to theone close to me. I want to
get on a freeway to go toPassing Robbins. Well, on the small
screen, Netflix has been making bigbank. After a password sharing crack down,

(22:22):
the platform added more than nine millionsubscribers. That's not a bad idea.
You go to the Netflix house withother people who share passwords all day
long. I go to that.I go to that for sure. All
right, don't forget. Fritz Colemanis going to be live at the El
Portal Theater on June twenty third. That's Sunday. Get your tickets for that.
And then tomorrow night, Jay Letois gonna be at Flappers on June

(22:47):
twenty second. That's tomorrow night atFlappers in Burbank. Oh yeah, So
go see Jay on Saturday and Fritzon Sunday. Yeah, that's a weekends
like, oh yeah, that's acool weekend. Jay and Fritz together again,

(23:08):
separate venues. Very funny. Guys. You're listening to Tim Conway Junior
on De Maya from KFI AM sixforty. It's Friday. That's cool.
Everybody's in that Friday mood. Alot of Taylor Swift fans out there getting
to the airport to go see herin London and Europe the last leg of
her Era's tour. Yeah, sheloves it, loves that tour. This

(23:33):
morning, London is gearing up forTaylor Mania starting tonight, Taylor Swift playing
a record eight shows at the famousWembley Stadium and the fans, well,
they're a little excited and all eightshows are completely sold out. That is
crazy. I don't know, payingtwelve hundred bucks a ticket and then sitting

(24:00):
next to somebody like that for threehours. Girls, girls, could you
please? Girls? Give them down? While the Brits are stokes, Taylor's
American fans do travel well. Thesedevoted Swifties came all the way from la
on a scale from once ahead andhow excited are you our team? Yeah?

(24:22):
Thirteen thirteen? Okay. London hostingmore performances than any other city in
the world, and locals here thinkthey own a piece of Taylor's heart.
But is her connection to the citystill intact after heartbreak with her so called
London boys Swift living here part timefor six years while in a long term

(24:42):
relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn.I didn't know she's in a long six
year relationship with that guy. Swiftliving here part time for six years while
in a long term relationship with Britishactor Joe Alwyn. Wow. Their breakup
last year potentially influenced thing her latestrecord lyrics all when opening up for the

(25:03):
first yeam, all right, well, Taylor Swift Wembley Stadium. That is
unbelievable to sell out eight shows, eight shows, this guy, it's gonna
be one hundred and fifty thousand peopleper show easily, maybe more. All
right, Well, if you're atthe airport or on your way to the
airport to go see it, congratulationsthat you got that kind of dough,

(25:26):
You got that kind of money,Mom or dad, maybe both of them
work their ass off, you canenjoy that. Speaking of travel, fourth
of July big big weekends, andthis already comes after a record breaking amount
of travelers going through TSA checkpoints justfor Memorial Day weekends. So that's one
reason perhaps why Triple A is sayingthis July fourth could break records as well.

(25:48):
They're projecting seventy point nine million Wow. Today, we're going to be
traveling over fifty miles. That willbe up five percent from last year.
And when you break it out,the majority of those are going to be
driving, right, A lot ofthose will be sure taken by car to
go over those fifty miles. Butyou also have those that are going to
be flying and also taking trains, right, yeah, so different modes of
transportation, right, I guess flyingand also taking trains right, cars,

(26:11):
planes as well. So you know, again this is a lot of people
that are expected to be traveling forJuly. Some people are last minute bookers.
They haven't booked their trip ship forthe fourth of July. So how
much do you think it'll run youif you've waited? Yeah, So when
it comes to just the prices themselves, we have to remember that for those
that are going to be driving, gas prices are a little bit cheaper this
year. So right now, threedollars and forty four cents, where's it?

(26:33):
Three four forty four cents? Howabout six dollars and forty four cents.
Three dollars and forty four cents, that's the average per gallon. That's
down fourteen cents from this time lastyear. And some good news for those
that are going to be doing carrentals as well, it's going to be
a little bit cheaper. Some BLSdata from the government shows that prices for
car rentals are down almost nine percentfrom last year, and airfare is down

(26:53):
about two percent from last year. And that though depends on what itinery you're
looking at this we're sell even iflast minute bookings. You can even for
some last minute depending on where you'regoing on yest. So then what that
said with the huge crowds, anyadvice on how to make the chip go
a little smoother? Yeah, SoJuly four falls on Thursday this year,
which means that if you're trying totravel on Wednesday and then come back on
Sunday, we'll guess what, sois everybody else? Right? So those

(27:14):
are going to be the heaviest trafficday is the best day to travel?
Did you hear that? July thirdis the heaviest travel day. July third,
Wednesday before the July fourth weekend, and then we have the fourth on
sat on Thursday, fifth, sixth, seventh, then coming back on the
eighth. So that Wednesday and thenSunday and Monday afterwards very busy according to

(27:34):
Triple A, is going to beJuly first, if you can afford to
maybe take off earlier in that week. But one other thing I want to
point out is for those that aretraveling by plane, of course, some
good practices for getting to the airport. You want to get there a little
bit earlier, try to give yourselfgreat tip, great tip, great tip.
Of course, some good practices forgetting to the airport. You want
to get there a little bit earlier. Try to give yourself two hours in

(27:56):
addition to maybe just put everything intoyour carry on now you don't have to
deal with the check back and alsoreserve a parking spot. Now a lot
of people know this. How youcould just pull to the to the airport,
get strained to the star. Someairports enjoiants of Okay. Lot of
information there about Hell, Smart andFinals in the news. I love Smart
and Fine, all my favorite stores. Workers making their voices heard at two

(28:26):
Smart and Final warehouses in southern California. They're on strike, claiming the companies
letting them go in a mass layoff. I'm devastated again. I thought I
was going to be able to retirewith this company. I put in a
lot of effort to be here.I struggled a lot. Right, this
is not an easy job, thisis the warehouses. This I don't think
this will have an immediate effect onthe stores. So I broke my back

(28:48):
for this company, and this isthe reward I get. They say the
company is telling them they can reapplyfor their jobs at a different warehouse.
In Rancho Guka Maunga and their paywould be ten to twelve dollars less per
hour. It's going to affect allof us drastically. It's very it's very
stressful. At this time. We'restill trying to figure how and how are
you going to do a bay cutand move us further and survive on that.

(29:12):
Hey, a lot of companies arejust trying to stay afloat and h
you know, and Smart and Finalsone of them. A lot of competition
out there for your grocery dollar. And know if you've been to a grocery
store lately, but they aren't aspacked as they used to be. I
love the grocery stores and Pavilions.Last night, that is a sweet Pavilions.

(29:33):
I think Pavilions and Smart and Final, those are my two. I
remember going to Smart and Final theone in Burbank as a kid with my
mom and dad, and I enjoyedthat. Smart and Final, oh Man,
and Smart and Final is one ofthe big contributors to Katerina's club.
They're always always with us and wecould not do that without a Smart and

(29:57):
Final. So I know they havea big heart and they would only really,
you're only consolidating their warehouses and theirbusiness because they have to. I
know that people who work for Smartand Final, I know that people run
Smart and Final, and they seemlike family. So my experience only positive

(30:18):
with smartan Final. All right, there's an EV battery risk. If you
got an electric vehicle, you gotto know this. Becky Leeboo says she
and her daughter were driving a rentedTesla when a twelve volt battery powering the
cars electronics died, locking them inside. Oh no, you get locked into
an EV. I'm sure how toget out. They called a tow truck

(30:41):
driver who didn't know either. Hehad said he had never experienced that,
and he wasn't sure how he wasgoing to get us out. Alice Moran
says it happened to her too,on a ninety seven degree day in Palm
Springs. If we had been onour way to Vegas, for example,
that is a long day, slitstretch, and even if you call nine

(31:03):
one one, you might have beendead by the time they got their car.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration nowurging the owners of electric vehicles to
get gas powered cars to familiarize themselveswith the vehicle's features, including the manual
door release location. What including themanual door release location? Oh, the
handle is what? That is?Manual door release location. Okay, they

(31:27):
got a fancy name for it.You and I call it my car.
The door handle, manual door releaselocation. Got money and immediately replaced their
twelve old battery if they receive alow battery warning. Most electric vehicles have
a main battery that powers the car. Yeah, or or you can get

(31:48):
a gas powered card and a smallerbattery for onboard electronics. Yeah, or
a gas powered car including the doorrelease and windows. Said door release.
That's great. It's the name forthe handle, the door release the door
release. If that twelve volte batterydies, experts say, neither will work.
Yeah, you know. I've hada car before who the engine died

(32:10):
And I thought to myself, man, how the hell am I going to
get out of this car? Andthen my wife said, well, why
don't you try the door handle? And I pulled it and the door opened
up. I was able to getout of that car, save my life.
Saved my life. The door releasemechanism worked, or the handle.

(32:31):
So if the power goes out whileyou're inside, how do you get out?
Well in this tesla a model three, Look to the arm rest,
find the unmarked latch, Push up, and you're out. What three?
Look to the arm rest. Okay, this is how you get out of
a tesla that's uh died. Lookto the arm rest, look at the
arm rest, find the unmarked latch. Find the unmarked latch, push up,

(32:54):
push up, and you're out,and you're out. You made it.
But if you're trying to get inside, that's a different issue. Good
luck, nobody's telling them about this. Firefighter pul Shoemaker now trains first responders
on rescues specifically for electric vehicles dueto the unique challenges they can pose.

(33:14):
God, I wonder if there's theturnoff where you can't get out of your
car, there's nowhere to power itup. I see people waiting in line.
I saw this the other day atWalmart. There's fifteen to twenty cars
waiting in line to use the chargersthere. And then one guy who was
waiting an hour and a half.Because I talked to him, say hey,
how long you wait here? Tenminutes? He goes No, an
hour and a half and he pulledinto a charger and the charger wasn't working,

(33:37):
and so he said to the guywho's next to line. He goes,
hey, I got to get thenext charger. My charger's not working.
And they got into an argument becausenobody, I've been waiting an hour
and a half. You're not gettingthe next charger I am. And they
got into a huge argument over it. And that's one of the sides that
you don't see in owning an electriccar, fighting other people for chargers.

(33:57):
Or you can do like me andyou pull into a gas station and fill
it up with that gasoline. Yeah, old school, old school, old
school country Bumpkin from the Valley Flatsdig going with you Conway Show on demand
