(00:00):
It's KFI AM six forty and you'relistening to The Conway Show on demand on
the iHeartRadio app. Joe Biden startingto speak. I'm surrounded by portraits extraordinary
American presidents. Thomas Jefferson wrote theimmortal words that guide this nation. George

(00:21):
Washington, who showed us presidents arenot kings. A Maham Lincoln who implored
us to reject malice, Franklin Roosevelt, who inspired us to reject fear.
I reviewed this office, but Ilove my country more. It's been the
honor of my life to serve asyour president. But in the defense of

(00:44):
democracy, which is a stake Ithink is more important than any title.
I draw strength and I find joyin working for the American people. But
this sacred task of perfecting our union, it's not about me. It's about
you, your families, your futures. It's about we, the people.

(01:07):
We can never forget that, andI never had. I've made it clear
that I believe America's had an inflectionpoint, one of those rare moments in
history when the decisions we make nowdetermine our fate of our nation and the
world for decades to come. Americais going to have to choose between moving

(01:30):
forward or backward, between hope andhate, between unity and division. We
have to decide do we still believein honesty, decency, respect, freedom,
justice and democracy? In this momentwe can see those we disagree with,
not as enemies, but as fellowAmericans. Can we do that?

(01:56):
Does character and public life still matter? I believe I know the answer to
these questions because I know you,the American people, and I know this.
We are a great nation because weare good people. When you elected
me to this office, I promiseto always lovel with you, to tell

(02:17):
you the truth and the truth thesacred cause of this country is larger than
any one of us, and thoseof us who cherry that cause cherishes so
much a cause of American demockers itselfwas united to protect it. In recent

(02:37):
weeks has become clear to me thatI need to unite my party in this
critical endeavor. I believe my recordas president, my leadership in the world.
I vision for America's future all merritof the second term, but nothing,
nothing can come in the way ofsaving our democer. That includes personal

(03:01):
ambition. So I've decided the bestway forward is the past, the torch
to a new generation. That's thebest way to unite our nation. You
know, there is a time anda place for long years of experience in
public life. There's also a timeand a place for new voices, fresh

(03:22):
voices, Yes, younger voices, and that time and places now. Over
the next six months, I'll befocused on doing my job as president.
That means I'll continue to lower costsfor hard working families, grow our economy.
I'll keep defending our personal freedoms,on our civil rights, from the

(03:45):
right to vote to the right tochoose. I'll keep calling out hating extremism.
Make it clear there is no place, no place in America or political
violence or any violence that ever period. I'm gonna keep keep speaking out to
protect our kids from gun violence. Our planning from climate crisis is the existential

(04:06):
threat. And I will keep fightingfor my cancer moonshot so we can end
cancer as we know it. Becausewe can do it. I'm going to
call for Supreme Court reform because thisis critical to our democracy. Supreme Court
reform. You know, I willkeep working to ensure American remains strong,

(04:30):
secure, and the leader of thefree world. I'm the first president of
this century to report to the Americanpeople that the United States is not work
anywhere in the world. We'll keeprallying the coalition of proud Nations to stop
puting from taking over Ukraine and doingmore damage. We'll keep NATO stronger,

(04:54):
and I'll make it more powerful andmore united than any time in all of
our history. I'll keep doing thesame for allies in the Pacific. You
know, when I came to office, the conventional wisdom of the China would
inevita would inevitably passed the United sopassed the United States. That's not the
case anymore. And I'm gonna keepworking and the war in Gaza, bring

(05:17):
home all the hostages, and bringpeace and security to the Middle East and
end this war. We're also workingaround the clock to bring home Americans being
unjustly detained all around the world. You know, it comes so far since
my inauguration on that day. Itold you as I stood in that winter,

(05:40):
we're stood in a winter of periland winter possibilities, peril, possibilities.
We're in the group of the war. We were in the group of
the worst pandemic in the century, the worst economic crisis, since the Great
Depression, the worst attack on ourdemocracy since the Civil War. But we

(06:00):
came together as Americans and we gotthrough it. We merged stronger, more
prosperous, and more secure. Todaywe have the strongest economy in the world,
creating nearly sixteen million new jobs ofrecords. Wages are up, Inflation
continues to come down, a racialwealth cap as the lowest has been in
twenty years. We're literally rebuilding ourentire nation, urban, suburban, rural,

(06:26):
tribal communities. Manufacturers come back toAmerica. We're leading the world again
in chips and science and innovation. We finally beat Big Farm after all these
years to lower the cost of prescriptionsout for seniors. And I'm going to
keep fighting to make sure we lowerthe cost for everyone, not just seniors.

(06:46):
More people of health care today inAmerica than ever before. And I
signed one of those significant laws helpingmillions of veterans and their families who are
exposed to toxic materials. Most significantclimb in law ever ever in the history
of the world, the first majorgun safety law in thirty years. Today,

(07:10):
violent crime rate is at at fiftyyear low. We're also securing our
border border crossings are lowered today thanwhen the previous administration left office. I've
kept my commitment to appoint the firstblack woman to the Streme Court in the
United States of America. I alsokept my commitment to have an administration that

(07:30):
looks like America and be a presidentfor all Americans. That's what I've done.
I ran for president four years agobecause I believed and still do that
the soul of America was a stake, the very nature of who we are
was a stake, and that's stillthe case. America is an idea.

(07:54):
An idea is stronger in any army, bigger than any ocean, more powerful
than any dictator, tyrant's most powerfulidea in the history of the world.
That idea is that we hold thesetruths to be self evident. We're all
created equal and now, Barker, are certainly analienable rights, life, liberty,
pursuit of happiness. We've never fullylived up to it, to this

(08:18):
sacred idea, but we've never walkedaway from it either, and I do
not believe the American people will walkaway from it. Now. In just
a few months, the American peoplewill choose the course of America's future.
I made my choice, I mademy views known. I would like to

(08:39):
thank our great Vice President Kamala Harris. She experienced, she's tough, she's
capable. She's been an incredible partnerin me and the leader for our country.
Now the choice is up to you, the American people. When you
make that choice, remember the wordsof Benjamin Franklins hang out on my wall
here in the Oval Office, alongsidethe bust of doctor King and Rosa Parks,

(09:03):
and says our Chavez. When BenFranklin was asked as he emerged from
the k the the convention going on, whether the Founders have given America a
monarchy republic. Frank of response wasa republic if you can't keep it,

(09:24):
a republic if you can keep it. Whether we keep our republic is now
in your hands, my fellow American, has been the privilege of my life,
the service nation over fifty years.Nowhere else on earth could a kid
with the stutter from modest beginning toScranton, Pennsylvania, Claimont, Delaware one

(09:46):
day sit behind the resolute desk inthe Oval Office as President of United States.
But here I am. That's what'sso special about America, where a
nation of promise and possibilities of dreamersand doers, of ordinary Americans doing extraordinary
things. I've given my heart andmy soul to our nation, like so

(10:11):
many others that have been blessed milliontimes in return with the love and support
of the American people. I hopeto have some idea how grateful I am
to all of you. The greatthing about America is here. Kings and
dictators do not rule that people do. History is in your hands, the

(10:35):
powers in your hands. The ideaof America lies in your hands. We
just have to keep faith, keepthe faith, and remember who we are
where the United States of America. And there's simply nothing, nothing beyond our
capacity when we do it together. So let's act together, preserver and democracy.

(10:56):
God bless you all. Make Godtortures. Thank you. All right,
a moment in history to any PresidentBiden in the Oval office. You
heard him say, they're to theAmerican people. I revere this office.
I love my country. All right. So there it is President Biden,
his swan song. That is arap. He's passing the torch. He

(11:18):
didn't say why he was bailing,or if he did, I don't know.
It seemed a couple of things seemeda couple of things seemed a little
hollow. But what the hell,I mean, he's just getting over COVID.
You hear him swallowing. I mean, he's really struggling to get through

(11:39):
there. It was really tough abouthis reasoning. I guess the closest you
can get is that he just tomake way for the next generation. Yeah,
that's about the closest he got toit. But he did say I
was keeping notes here. He said, where is the Oh, here it
is. We're not a nation ofkings or dictators. But we did pick
your candidate for you. So thereyou go. I and that's what kings

(12:05):
and dictators do. So what canyou do? All right? Well,
I hope you enjoyed it. Thatwas it. And he only mentioned Kamala
Harris there at the end, justbriefly. But he's talking about the defensive
democracy and the decision he made tostep down. And again, I don't
know if he said this in March. I think more people will believe that

(12:28):
it was his decision. But NancyPelosi, George Clooney, and Barack Obama
made him step down. This isnot something he wanted to do, and
something he decided on his own. They said you're going to resign and you're
going to read the speech as well. So he was talking about saving the
democracy, passing the torch to KamalaHarris, new voices, younger voices.

(12:56):
And he also said that he cutthe lost, grew the economy, people
had the right to vote, alot of you know, a lot of
things that people wanted to hear talkeda little bit about political violence, just
in one sentence, political violence neveran answer, violence at all, never

(13:16):
an answer. Did not mention Trumpby name, by the way, No,
never mentioned Trump. Talked about gunviolence in the last six months that
he's president. He's going to continueto try to tackle gun violence, climate
change, and cancer. That isgoing to be a busy six months.
That is a heavy six months, gun violence, climate change, and cancer.

(13:37):
Then he talked about expanding the SupremeCourt. He said court Supreme Court
reform. But I think that meansexpanding the court or at least putting term
limits on the court, and that'sgoing to be very, very difficult to
do in the next six months. He mentioned that he's the first president going
we'll be leaving office where the countryis not at war and so that's a

(14:03):
good thing. So he talked alittle bit about China, and everyone thought
that, you know, China wasgoing to take over the and be the
number one economy in the world duringhis presidency, and that didn't happen.
China is still a very strong country. But I think he's right about that.
He's another goal is trying to endthe war in Gaza. So in
the next six months, man,is that a busy six months. Gun

(14:26):
violence, climate change, cancer, and the war in Gaza, and also
bringing back Americans that are detained aroundthe world. Then he talked the little
he did mention January sixth. Hesaid it was the worst attack since the
Civil War. And then he saidwe have the strongest economy in the world,
the strongest economy in the world, and that that's true, and that's

(14:48):
been true for probably, I don'tknow, the last one hundred years.
We've had the strongest economy in theworld. He also talked about beating big
Pharma. I don't know what thatmeant. To really elaborate on that,
but he just made a statement thatthey beat big Pharma. And I'm not
sure whether he was talking about cappingthe prices for insulin or but he'd say

(15:13):
millions of people, billions of familiesthat have healthcare, millions of more now
than when he came into office. He did say the crime rate was at
a fifty year low. I don'tknow. I don't know if anybody believes
that crime rateed a fifty year low. There are a lot of people out
there, especially here in southern California, that would disagree with that. And

(15:37):
then he also said this was shocking, the lowest illegal crossing the border in
the last in our history or whatdid he say, last five years or
during his administration, the lowest levelof people crossing the border illegally. That

(15:58):
is not true. I don't knowwho wrote that, or maybe he believes
it. I don't know, butthat that simply cannot be true. It's
not true. So he said.He also said he made the choice to
step down. That's not true either. Well, I mean he didn't have
to. I mean, ultimately, who's going to make him If he didn't

(16:19):
really want to, they would havemade him. Yeah, they would have
invoked the you know, the twentyfifth Amendment. He would have been gone.
But I don't think and Johnson's leaningtowards that now, Speaker of the
House now is trying to basically impeachhim, saying that if he's not fit
to run, he's not fit tobe there in the first place. Yeah,
it is a really weird time, man, really really odd. I

(16:41):
wonder if he's going to campaign withKamla Harrins. You think he does,
but I bet he'll. He'll popin a couple of appearances at rallies or
something like that. And to me, what's going to be really interesting to
watch is the DNC next month. How they handle that, right and he's
got a show he's got to goright right like and like you say,

(17:03):
you know, he's he gonna goout, you know, in this blaze
of glory type thing where it's like, you know, lionize him and yeah
and passing figuratively whatever the torch taKama. It's gonna be how they work
the d n C is gonna beI think a big deal as far as
how it moves forward from that point. She's in the grace period right now,
She's got all the love going toher right now. Yeah, and

(17:23):
that'll happen for the next couple ofweeks, right. But but I also
think that that when he does appearat the d n C in Chicago later
next month. I think he's becausehe stepped down. I think he will
have a hero's welcome. Yo,Yes, you knows is exactly what everybody's
been in and a lot of peoplethat have been talking to him to try

(17:44):
to get him there. I thinkthat I bet that was a lot of
the part of the discussion was dude, you go out, just say you're
not running out. We're gonna We'regonna put you on this pedestal. We're
gonna make it so great. Yeah, I think this was all about his
eyes, and to me, Ithink that's a that's part of the reason
why it took as long as itdid from the debate until now for him
to drop out. I think thatthat that it was. It was gonna

(18:07):
happen regardless, and a lot ofthis time in between the debate and now
and him stepping down was planning outhow to pave this road forward afterwards that
yeah, that's right. And youknow there are gonna be so many questions
now you know who runs the party. You know, George Clooney has a

(18:27):
big hand in it. So doesBarack Obama. I think, along with
Nancy Pelosi. I think those arethe top three people that run the Democratic
Party. George Clooney's a big one. Barack Obama is another big one.
Prediction, And who do you thinkheld she should or will pick for VP?
Okay, I've got a I've gota wild prediction for you me.

(18:51):
Hello. Yeah, I think thatAlex Michaelson will drop a word in and
say, hey, get in hisear. This guy's got a show on
on KFI. We can get allthat air time. You know. I
know he's not really sort of onthe team, but that's that's that's easy.
He's a superficial guy that you knowthat can change his mind overnight.

(19:12):
I think you gotta go with Conway. Okay, here's what I think is
gonna happen. I think, andagain I've not read this anywhere. This
is my prediction of what's gonna happenin two or three weeks. Kamala Harris
is gonna find herself down by tenor fifteen points to Donald Trump. The

(19:33):
same people that threw Biden out,Clooney, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama,
they're gonna have a talk with herand they're gonna throw her out too.
And Michelle Obama is going to stepin, and Michelle Obama is gonna be
the next president of United States.Write this down, Write the time down
five point twenty one thirty five secondson whatever this is July twenty fourth.

(19:57):
I believe are in lie twenty fourth. We are twenty fourth, and this
audio is can be played forever. It's going to be. They're going to
push and look if they push Biden'sside, they could easily push Harris's side.
That's even easier. That's just atext. It's like, hey,
you're out. Ah, christ Ididn't know I was out. I'm out.

(20:18):
That's she's done. And then MichelleObama's going to step in in the
honeymoon phase, which Harris is inright now. Michelle Obama will be in
the honeymoon phase as ballots are goingout, and Barack Obama and Michelle Obama
will be campaigning together. It'll bea whirlwind. I'll even vote for it

(20:40):
for the craziness. And Michelle Obamais the next president of the United States.
Wow, Okay, I know youthink I'm full of crap, right,
I'm going to keep this audio andwhen it happens, I'm gonna I'm
going to produce the audio on tape, on physical tape, and make all
you guys eat the tape. Youcan put it whatever thing you want on

(21:00):
it, whatever, ketchup, whateversauce. I don't care what you want
to do, and you are goingto have to eat that tape. Krozier,
not as a news guy here, but what is your prediction? Predictions?
I think wrong? Angel Nice Croze, what you tell me something I
don't know. I think if shedoesn't, she should pick Mark Kelly from

(21:23):
Arizona as her astronaut. Yes,I think he's got the most well rounded
I think he would appeal to thewidest swath of people people. I think,
you know, he's in a battlegroundstate. He's an astronaut, for
God's sakes. His you know, his wife, Gabby Gifford's you know,
she's got that story going behind her. I think, I think any I

(21:44):
think of the people that they're mostlytalking about, he's probably got the biggest
plus side to him. If itdoesn't have to be on Earth to run,
isn't he still in space? Thatmight be his brother? Oh,
somebody's in space. Somebody spent likefive hundred days in space. One of
those guys. Does they have atwin brother, man, they're both space
guys. The add to that,Hey, I got twins, Hey mom,

(22:06):
in forty years, we want toboth go to space. All right,
easy, Mark Easy. It kindof makes you think that it's not
really that hard to be an astro, that the brothers can get in there.
Scott Twins, Scott Kelly, ScottKelly A right, I think it
was Michael Scott. Is that somethingelse? Something else? All right?
All right? Predictions Bellio productions forwrong fine, all right, fine,

(22:33):
all right, Steph fush your predictionfor who's going to be vice president and
who's going to win the next election? Predictions m Harris as the VP?
Yeah, all right, I thinkdon't God Harris, we don't know about

(22:55):
Yes there is Yeah, everybody couldbe Harris and Harris. Sounds like a
law firm, right, maybe TobyHarris the singer or Kyle Harris, Oh
j Harris, simple Harris Harris Harris. Wasn't there a clothing shot a store
called Harris and Harris? I don'tknow, all right, Angel Martinez predictions.

(23:15):
I think Obama's going to slide inon that VP. Do you think
Barack Obama. Yes, wrong, you serve two terms on the president's side,
he can go VP. I don'tthink he can because if anything happens
to her, he can't be presidentright or wrong? Wrong? All right.

(23:37):
So the best prediction, of course, again is from yours truly,
that in two three weeks Harris willbe down by ten to fifteen points.
I'll she'll screw up a bunch oftimes because she's not used to this kind
of pressure, and people will bereminded of how many people she threw in
jail for pot charges in California.Should be down by ten to fifteen points.

(24:02):
Yeah, but wouldn't that worked towardsthe crime argument. Yeah, but
not really, because she threw alot of black people in jail and people
are not gonna be do it,So she's gonna be tossed aside, Michelle
Obama will be put in and MichelleObama will pick somebody as her running mate,
and Michelle Obama would be the nextpresident of the United States. I'm
telling you that's going to happen.I know you guys think I'm full of

(24:26):
crap. Running mate Paul McCartney,Oh, how about you know the running
mate is going to be Michelle Obama'sMike Pence. Oh, yep, he's
gonna get another shot in there,Mike Pence, Mike, you want another
shot? Or or it could beElon Musk. I don't know, you
know, a good businessman. Butthat's my prediction that the next president the

(24:48):
United States is Michelle Obama in alandslide, and we all have to get
ready for that. So whatever youhave to do to get ready for that,
that is going to happen. Andtrust me, mark my words.
All right, So anyway, thatis over. I hope you guys enjoyed
your push notifications. If you gotthat and you're tuning into KFI, you've
heard, you heard the president speak, and that is it. That might

(25:11):
be the last time, unless there'sa disaster, you know, knock on
wood that that doesn't happen. Thatmight be the last time we hear from
him until the end of his presidency. His term expires at noon January twentieth,
twenty twenty five, twenty twenty five, and that's when he introduces the
next president the United States, MichelleObama. Enjoy that you're listening to Tim

(25:37):
Conway Junior on demand from KFI AMsix forty. President Joe Biden has spoken
and I'm glad you got our pushnotification on the app. And if you
want to be notified in the future, oh man, you're gonna be in
the know. You're gonna love it. Just go to our app. Go
to KFIAM six forty dot com anddownload our app. Download the iHeart Radio

(26:00):
app. It really is cool.I here's how great the app is.
I was picking up a buddy todayand it happened to be in a underground
parking lot and I couldn't you know. Once you when you're listening to AM
radio and you go to the parkinglot like ah a F and I say
the old app word you know whichone? And yeah, because I can't
hear the radio anymore, so Iquickly just turned on the app. Man,

(26:22):
it sounded like it was I wasin the station. It sounded great.
So download the app. It's important, especially with everything changing nowadays.
Joe Biden just gave what may behis last speech, and that is the
great thing about the app is exactlywhat we found out today. Anybody who
just got it was you get anotification when something big is happening. Yeah,
you know when something's going to happen. You're not behind anybody else.

(26:45):
Got the I got the notice.I'll read it to you. I can't
find it, but I'll read it. Oh, here it is. Yes,
Tune into KFI today at five pmPresident Joe Biden addressing the nation on
k IF. I am six forty. And then there was another one when
it started saying, hey, he'slistening. He's doing it right now,

(27:06):
listen right now. I'm oh,so, what's up. Oh you're here
listening to the show. Yeah, this thing back. But this is a
great app it really is. You'regonna get the Paris Olympics on there too,
You're gonna get It's just a great, great app anyway. Okay,
so President Biden has spoken and hehas passed the torch to Kamala Harris.

(27:30):
Talked about character, talked about howgreat this nation is, which I think
that's cool. You know, itis a great nation, on great people
in this country, and I talkedabout saving democracy, new voices, and
talk about the economy, gun violence, looked a little bit of climate change,
and cancer, anti cancer. You'regonna try to what solve that before

(27:55):
he leaves office. I hope thatworks out. And the war in Gaza,
bring home Americans that were detained aroundthe world, the strongest economy in
the world. He talked about thelowest amount of illegals crossing since he's been
president. Sorry, it's something inmy throat. Sorry, yeah, right

(28:18):
there. Sorry, he said hemade the choice to step down. Sorry.
Sorry, yeah, I got abug in my throat. Sorry.
And then I talked about kings anddictators. This is not what we do
in this country. We let thepeople decide, except for this time,
where we put Harrison Bosa. Wedon't do kings and dictators in this country,

(28:45):
except this time we put Harrison whatnever mind. Ah, Anyway,
it was a about a fifteen minutespeech. I thought it was gonna be
longer. Crows these things usually aboutlike a half something. The impression that
I thought I heard it was goingto be about a half an hour.
Yeah, And if I was Harris, I'd be pissed that he didn't talk
more about her. You know, you have the entire nation watching, and
it might be the last time theentire nation is watching him, except for

(29:10):
you know, maybe at the atthe d n C at the Democratic National
Convention in Chicago next month. Butif I were her, I'd call up
and go, hey, man, what's going on with you? Joe?
What's what the why are you slowrolling me? Bro? What's going on
with you? Bro? But that'sit a wrap on Joe Biden again.
It might be the last time youhear from him. Might be it?

(29:32):
Ever? Well, I mean,in a in a national speech, I
should say, in a speech whereeveryone stops what they're doing, give one
more goodbye speech, like after theelection. You think, I don't know,
Yes, maybe I don't know ifthey do that, or make a
couple of days before you know hesteps down or tournaments. You know,
he's got to be really pissed that. You know, for the last three

(29:55):
years he was raising money to runagain. He's going to run again.
His wife was going to live there, all that help because he needs a
lot of help. You know,he's eighty one and he indeeds help around
the house. And now it's justgonna be Jill Biden at home, you
know, helping him out. Rightnow he's got ninety people helping him out.
Oh yeah, Oh, it's gonnabe Can I get some soup?
Tough on her? Hey? Wasshe there for the speech or did she
go to Paris. I don't know. That's a good question. I think

(30:18):
she went to Paris. I thinkshe took one of those Air Force ones.
I know they're not called air Forceone unless the president's on it.
I get that. But they tookone of those Air Force jets to Paris,
and they're partying while Joe's sitting therefumfering through that speech and a lot
of swallowing. If you notice that, a lot of big swallows. Okay,

(30:41):
we've got other news going on.When we come back, we will
present you with other news that ishappening. The three alarm fire in Rosemeade
looks like they got that under control, radically under control, so we'll come
back and tell you what that wasall about. We also had some Motown
news, so we got a lotgoing on on here. I'm KFI.

(31:02):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior ondemand from KFI AM six forty. Hey
Wood, he is still here.We ripped you off. We stole the
segment from you because of Joe Biden. Nice to see you, but you
didn't. You didn't rip me offfor the Buddy Show. Yeah, so
check it out. I feel bad. Do you feel like sometimes when you
when you leave work and you gohome. Are you a talker? Now?

(31:22):
Are you quiet? I'm mega quietat my house. Me too,
right, yeah, But for whateverreason, when I'm just like chopping up
with people like your team in theback room, Chris Little was just down
the hallway, I was talking tohim like, I don't shut up.
I always feel like such an idiot. I'm like, man, I realized,
like how much time I've taken peoplelike they're like they got to be

(31:44):
sitting there going shut up. Ithought that Chris held you and you couldn't
get out home. No, AndI feel bad because they ask a simple
question and there there I am tenminutes later. My father was the worst
guy in the world trying to getout of a conversation. If my dad
went to a party and the valetpark said hey, I saw Michael's navy
my dad would talk to that guyfor two hours, yeah, and then

(32:04):
get in this car and go home. Yeah. He could not get out
of conversation. So I taught mydad pretty late in life. I said,
Dad, compliment and move you knowyou like this? Oh you got
some funny stuff there, buddy. You're the best of the world. Yeah,
compliment and move it works every time. Yeah, every time. I
would love to sit and talk about, like like how your childhood was because
your dad was such a phenomenal talent. It was you know, and was

(32:29):
was he a character at home? Was he anything? Like? I mean,
we're just one of those things, like a person who's just got this
wild talent and then when the lightscome on, then he's on. But
when the lights are off, hewas just I mean to you, he's
your dad, right. But Iwould say that he was probably funnier at
home because he could tell jokes anduse language that he couldn't do it on

(32:52):
TV. Yeah, but he hungout. You know. One of his
best friends was a guy named ErnieAnderson, who was the voice of ABC.
You know that the love boat, right Vernon Charlie. You know that
that voice. So his best friendwas Ernie Anderson. Ernie Andson was one
of the funniest guys in the world. As a matter of fact, Ernie
Anderson, We're at the Anderson's housein Studio City. I was maybe six

(33:17):
or seven years old, and Ernieand and Dwyna brought their new child home
from the hospital. My dad andI were They're helping them rearrange the house
and get the you know, thegrip ready for the baby and everything.
That baby is Paul Thomas Anderson, that wild Well, I was literally at
the house when they brought him infrom the hospital. So when you were

(33:37):
a kid, did you realize thatyour dad was a big deal, like
a like a big famous you knowguy. You know, I it's weird
aware of it, or because youknow I know that, sometimes it's like,
oh, that's just your dad.Well I was aware of it.
Like we would go to Disneyland andmy dad couldn't have a plaid. He
would face you have, like oneof those people that walk you around,

(33:57):
put you to the front of thelines and stuff. But to do with
the celebrity. He didn't like that. He didn't like that. He liked
he was a look. My dadwas always friends with the lighting guy,
the you know, the script supervisor, you know, the makeup guy.
But he was always friends with likethe He was from Cleveland, Ohio,
right, you know, so hehe was a blue collar guy growing up,
and he always had a lot morein common with those guys than he
did with the you know, theguy who owned the network. But he

(34:21):
loved horse racing, big, bighorse racing. My dad's a he trains
racehorses, is that right? Yes, my whole life. I was born
in Pittsburgh. It's it's harness racing. It's not their no kidding. The
sulkies. Yeah, I was ahuge fan of that, So I spent
like a lot of my time.I'd spent a month out of every summer
at my dad. The whole timewas at the track. And what race
track was out there? The meadowsmeadows outside Pittsburgh, Yeah, Washington,

(34:43):
Pa. That's really cool than that. He's done that my entire life.
Man, that is passion of allthe horses. To train the sulkies,
the trotters, that's the toughest,Yeah, to get those you know,
those legs moving. And I meanhe is a whisperer, like he really
knows like what he's doing, Ithink, doing anything. So long were
impressed by that than any guests we'vehad in I'd love to have your dad

(35:06):
on the show because you know,Doug O'Neill is a friend of mine.
He's trained horses for you know, thirty years or so. He's won the
Kentucky Derby twice. Yeah, Imean to win the Kentucky Derby. There's
one guy in the world that winsit every year. Yeah. I got
in trouble one summer because and gotmy dad in some trouble because I was
set the grandstand while he was youknow, warming up and doing all this
stuff for whoever whatever horses were inthat particular night. I go over to

(35:29):
the grand stand, I'd play poleposition in the arcade, get ice cream?
Will he give me us some moneyto go do that kind of stuff?
And one one night, instead ofusing the money for you know,
snacks and for a pole position,I went and started placing bets of the
window and I was winning, andso security came up because I was a
kid, right, and then theycome with us and like, you know,
who are you here with. I'vegot my dad's working in the paddock,

(35:52):
and so we had to go overthere. And my dad's like,
are you kidding and so like, because obviously that's a that's a huge no.
No. I don't know how familiaryou are with Philadelphia. I know
you have a big station there. But my buddy of mine, Eric Weiss,
who's one of the great ragents inthe world, nice guy, very
nice guy, when he was inthird grade. He lived in Philadelphia with

(36:13):
his parents. In third grade, they went around the room saying, Hey,
what do you use your dad do. He's a mechanic, my dad's
a pilot. My dad's construction Andthey said to Eric, what does your
dad do? He goes he worksat the Liberty Bell. They're like,
oh, Liberty Bell, all right, So they send a note home with
him, Hey can we make canwe arrange a class trip with the third
graders to go see Liberty Bell? And they quickly said yes. They got

(36:37):
a school bus a week later andeveryone got sack lunch, you know,
trip slips, all that stuff, and they went off to the Liberty Belt.
Well what Eric's dad didn't tell himand they didn't figure it out.
The Liberty Bell is the name ofthe racetrack there, dh, That's funny,
I was saying, because I wenton so many field trips in the
Liberty Bell to the Franklin Institute,Betsy Ross's house, which was so boring.

(37:00):
Yeah, Constitutional Independence Hall like itwas. We did all those field
trips growing up. That that's areal field trip to the Liberty Bell,
that's right, But is that whereyou grew up? In Philly. I
grew up in Jersey, like aboutforty five minutes outside of Philly, kind
of halfway between New York and Philly. Okay, were you? Were you
towards uh, Atlantic City? Werecloser to Atlantic City close enough? My
grandmother would go there on the seniorjunkets. You know, I love Atlantic
City. Yeah it's such a dump, I know, but it's great.

(37:22):
Yeah, it's only kind of place. And so did you Okay, so
here's another question. So because yourdad is famous and you know, was
you guys were pretty well off?I'm sure with all that, like did
Like, so what drove you too? I'm always wondering, like with my
kids, because you know, wewe we I have achieved a certain level
of success and so we you know, we have a we have a really
great life. And like I wantto instill my son got a job on

(37:45):
his own. He's fantastic. He'sworking, he's working in Magic Mountain.
He did all that on his own. So I'm I'm super proud of that.
But like up until that point andeven still going forward, like I'm
always worried that, uh, youknow, kids, and I wonder how
people of real kids of real celebritieslike what made you? Well, my
dad didn't give you the drive?Did he just tell you, like,
Hey, you're not getting anything Igot you better get out there. My
dad bet with both hands at HollywoodPark and didn't have a lot of dough

(38:08):
at the end, really honestly gone, he I And I don't like to
say this on the air, butI will tell you this, and and
I at the end there was nothing. You know, that's the way to
live though, That there was whenyou're done. He spent all of it,
and I great, and I givehim credit for that. You know,
that's actually that's actually really cool tohear. I think it's kind of

(38:30):
cool. Well, look me,maybe not for you if you were looking
for some kind of Oh I waslooking. I was looking for a couple
million and retiring. But happened. But he had six kids, a wife
that really liked to go to Bullocksand nordstrooms house full housekeepers. So he
had nine breakfasts, nine lunches, nine dinners every day just to start,

(38:50):
and also was betting with both handsat Santadita. Oh good for him,
so he went for it. Yeah, that's that's that's really cool. I'm
going to do the same thing.I'm going to spend all the money I
got, and I have a lifeinsurance policy just so my wife doesn't have
to go home with the first guyshe meets at a bar. That's actually
a really good I see. OnceI'm dead, I don't care what she
does. But the thing is like, if I can spend it all before

(39:10):
I leave, I don't want theother guy spending any of my money.
Right, That's like you can haveher, just don't spend any of my
money. Dad, that's the that'sthe the fine line. Yeah, yeah,
I'll be dead. I don't Idon't believe I'm gonna be sitting there
like on a you know, ona shelf somewhere, overseeing what's happening in
the house if you don't have theyou know, like a cuck situation watching
all right, you're the best bodytomorrow at six am, five am?

(39:32):
What do when do you go?On? Here? Five five am?

Look at it, Steph. Fo'sjust went crazy to your sting,
raised both hands. He's never donethat. It's either that or like God,

(39:52):
