(00:00):
It's KFI Am sixty and you're listeningto the Conway Show on demand on the
iHeartRadio app. Our computer crashed andwe were operating on a program called media
Player that sucks. Can't really doanything with it, and so we had
a I think Matt's out. Ourmain engineer is out. Hey you had

(00:23):
a baby. Wait he had anotherbaby. Yeah, that guy's belting them
out. Huh. I thought youjust had a baby. He did,
like a year ago, had ababy. It's a boy baby. So
Cameron Boswell is the guy here todayand he is sort of a freelance guy.
But man, is that guy good. That guy's great. You're looking

(00:44):
for a unbelievable tech guy. Lookup Cameron Boswell. Pay that guy a
boatload of money. And he wasreally nice. Yeah, he's a very
sweet man. I like that guy. I like that dude. Normally I'm
not into the hair button, butI love that part of him. Tim,
jeez, you could have left thatpart off. Well. We got

(01:08):
like everything about everybody. No,I think you've made it clear you don't.
So doesn't it sound like I lovethe guy? I would hire him
in a heartbeat. You were niceand very respectful. To him, you
were thank you. All right, let's get into more news here. Stealth
shopping. What is stealth shopping?Well, let's find out. Stylist Evan

(01:32):
Elkowitz has noticed a trend among someof her clients after a big shopping hall,
tiding it from their partners. It'scalled stealth shopping. Okay, all
right. I think my wife doesa little stealth shopping because we have a
rule in our house that we're notgonna buy any more Christmas decorations on December

(01:53):
twenty eighth for eighty percent off,Bellio, I think you do that stealth
shopping. I think after Christmas youbuy Christmas crap for next year at eighty
percent off. Well, who wouldn't. That's a great deal. And I'm
sure Angel does it as well.Angel, do you do it? I
always do it, Timmy, Ilove it. You know what Timmy?

(02:15):
I do? I do. Ihave a client who once put her new
shoes on, left the old shoesin her car. I have people who
put dragle in her bags over thingsso that nobody knows that it's something new.
Evan even does it herself sometimes despitebuying things with their own money.
I'll just sort of like, bringin the house, put it somewhere in

(02:36):
the closet, come back down atnight, grab it. Sixty that she
buys it with her own money andthen hides it from herself. I'll just
sort of like, bring in thehouse, put it somewhere in the closet,
come back down at night, grabit. Sixty four percent of those
living with a significant other hid purchasesfrom their partners in the last year.

(02:59):
Have you hid anything from John Billie? I have you have? What kind
of things you had? You know, like yeah, yeah, yeah,
clothes like shoes. Okay, allright, I get that, but it's
hard to hide things when I'm atwork and all these packages show up.
He's on to me, So Ihad to stop with it, all right,

(03:22):
Okay. The top reason I wasgoing to say, I know people
here that get their packages delivered towork. Oh is that right? Yeah?
I know a woman who doesn't workhere anymore who sent herself a dozen
roses on Valentine's Day. And thepurpose for that is what for others to

(03:46):
be to show everybody in the officeyou got a great boyfriend or husband when
you don't. No, that's odd, that's not good. That's odd.
That's odd behavior, you know, because a dozen roses on Valentine's they are
like eighty ninety hundred bucks. Areyou gonna spend that money just to be
a people think that's right? Whocares? Bellio? That's why I love

(04:12):
your attitude. You're the who caresqueen of the world. I don't think
that's true, but I think itis true. When else when if I
said who cares? Besides this? No? No, I think when people
attack you or say nasty things aboutyou online, do let me read some
of them? I guess no.Do you read a couple here? Please
don't. But I think you havea who cares attitude? You know.

(04:36):
Maybe it's just a defense mechanism.Maybe well, okay, then that's not
good, and let's talk about that. No, let's not. Let's move
on. Okay. The top reasonsavoiding judgment or criticism and impulse buying,
guilt. You know what I hearda lot as well. There are very
wealthy women who live in Beverly Hillsand the surrounding area, and they can't

(04:57):
get enough cash from their bank accountswithout their husband raising an eyebrow. So
what they do is they go tohigh end stores Sacks Sacks, Fifth Avenue,
Bullocks Broadway, if those stores stillexist, and they buy expensive purses,
and they take that purse right toa pawn shop, and the pawn

(05:20):
shop on a seven thousand dollars pursewill give you three thousand dollars or twenty
five hundred bucks, and then theyhave cash, and so it shows up
on the credit card that you gota new purse. But what doesn't show
up is that purse went right tothe pawn shop and you have three thousand
dollars to gamble with or buy smokesor coke or whatever you're doing. That's

(05:41):
what's going on in Beverly Hills. There is a lot of guilt and shame
and embarrassment about how you're spending becausemaybe it doesn't align with your partner's values,
your partner's habits, and so ratherthan having a conversation about it,
they feel the need to be secretiveabout it, to hide it. Experts
say, financial secrets snowball. You'vebecome comfortable hiding these little purchases, and

(06:03):
now you're gonna be comfortable hiding maybebigger purchases or bigger financial issues. To
start the conversation, first get transparentabout costs. Sometimes it's just educating your
partner on what things cost in theareas that you are interested in spending that
You had a similar situation, isthat right? You mean with the Ford

(06:25):
Edge with the car. Yeah, you went in and bought a really nice,
beautiful, expensive car that you loved. I did a titanium. Wow,
beautiful. It had all the bellsand whistles. Yeah, where is
that? I had to give itback? He was right in the end,

(06:46):
okay, right, But you wantedto keep the car? Well,
yeah, you love driving it?Do you miss it? I really miss
it. Let's get you another one. Okay, all right, if you
work for FOURD, bring an Edgeover and Bellio needs a new ride.
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, do fully loaded edge a
titanium A titanium. Yeah, Wow, they're sweet. Did you go alone

(07:09):
to buy that or was John withyou? Well? Here's he was not
with me, okay, and that'spart of the problem. So it was
a little stealth. But I wastrading in my other one and they're like,
hey, we've got this one,and they drove it out and I
was like, oh wow, that'sbeautiful. But it was more money,
right, I drove it home. It's like a couple hundred more a month.

(07:30):
Yeah, okay, yeah, andI drove that baby home and I
drove it right back. How longdid you have it? I did have
it for that. I had tohave it for the least I leased it.
Oh, I didn't know that youhad it for two years. Yeah,
Oh, I didn't know that.Yeah. I thought I understood that
story to be you had it anda week later they had it back.
No, no, no, no, no. I had to keep it

(07:50):
for the two years. Oh okay, Well, you enjoyed it. I
did enjoy it, but I wantedto enjoy it permanently. Oh, Marcia
Marsha march I wanted to keep.Yes. But let's get you one.
Okay, all right, let's getthis one. A titanium platinum edge,
titanium Ford Edge, beautiful. Yeah, all right, we'll get you one.

(08:11):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior ondemand from KFI AM six forty.
We have a lot of things tocover yet, still the Orange County Fair,
we'll talk about that. We'll talkabout Deadpool, that movie with Mark
Ronner. A lot to cover.I had lunch today with three old buddies,

(08:31):
three friends. I've known two,one since third grade, the other
two since seventh grade. Jeff Lowiemy Tennessee, Robbie Fox, and Robbie
Fox's dad showed up as a surpriseguest. We're eating at Islands in Sherman
Oaks, great restaurant, and CharlieFox, who's buddy of Mine's dad is

(08:52):
a great songwriter. He did alot of TV work too. He wrote
Lavernon Shirley the theme song. Hewrote Happy Days and another song that you
probably know every single word to loveExciting and dude, drambaboard, We're expecting

(09:20):
you Love lef Sweedish three war,let it blow, It floats back to
you. Come on, belly, let's go the love Heather, that's roll,

(09:41):
so we'll be making out right. The love promises something for Sae for
revenge of your It was an openOh. I thought that was a lyric.

(10:18):
It was an open sore. Onevery shore different that's a different boat.
Yeah, you know that They theymost cruising companies will point to that
song and that show for the startof their success and their continued success.
Isn't that wild? I believe it? I do too. My husband worked

(10:41):
for Princess cruises for many years, and they were very proud that they had
the original love boat. Yes,yes, you know, my dad hated
cruising. He always thought you'd getC six when everyone on a cruise.
And he didn't even do the loveboat because he thought that they did at
See Oh no, they didn't knowthey did at Fox and Off Pico.

(11:03):
That's right. Oh what a missedopportunity. Yeah, it was horrible.
I loved having lunch with him todayand he told me a great story.
Charlie Fox again, Robbie Fox oneof my best bodies. I grew up.
I've known it's been seventh grade. And we would come home late drunk,
right ninth grade, tenth grade whenwe probably shouldn't have been. And

(11:26):
this Charlie Fox, his dad workedall night long. We could never get
a break when we came home, always up greeting us. And we came
home, we went to his house. One night, I dropped Robbie Fox
off. I went home, andRobbie goes into his house. He was

(11:48):
only I don't know, we're fifteensixteen, And Robbie Fox's dad, Charlie
Fox, said, hey, Robbie, would you do now? He goes,
Oh, we went bowling. Itwas all bowling, must fun.
You guys all go, yeah,Mike, you know, Steve Mark.
We all went bowling. And Charliesaid to his son Robbie, do you

(12:09):
guys have any drinks there? Andwe're only sixteen, And Robbie didn't want
to lie to his dad, andhe said, you know, I like
I like one And he said justone and he said, yeah, yeah,
just one. But Dad, whyare you asking? He said,
Robbie, you're still wearing your bowlingshoes. He left the bowling alley in

(12:33):
this bowling shoes and he still didn'trealize when he got home he still had
his bowling shoes on the rentals. The rentals. Ah, that was great,
good time to grow up. Butwhat a talented man to write all
those beautiful songs and still be oneof the most humble guys in the world.
To sit with us at islands Islandsand eat that food and tell us

(12:56):
these beautiful old stories. Man,that was a highlight of my life.
I was laughing harder today that Ihad in twenty years. You're listening to
Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFIAM six forty. All right, the
Orange County Fair happening every single year. This is no exception. And Michelle
Richards, the CEO, the ownerof the entire fairgrounds, the general manager,

(13:20):
the Big Cheese, is on withus. Michelle, how are you?
I'm good. Has it been ayear? Tim? I can't believe
it. I cannot believe it.I've heard some from some people that went
this year already that the weather's beenperfect, and they say it's the cleanest
it's ever been, and that sayssomething because it's always super clean there.

(13:41):
We are having a beautiful fair, and you're right. I really feel for
the people inland that are experiencing thatheat wave. But it's been beautiful in
coast to mesa every day, greatocean breeze. We're off to a great
start. And I also heard,I mean, we talked about this last
year, but maybe we can alsoremind people, because you know, people

(14:03):
tune in and tune out. Iheard that to have a booth there,
that some booths and some locations arepassed down from generation to generation. Is
that true? Well, they are. We never guarantee that, but I'll
tell you there have been concessionaires andmerchants here for years and years. It's
a family tradition for sure. Yeah. I love that. I love the

(14:24):
feel of it. I like thefact that you have animals there. The
kids always love the animals. Therides are great. You can buy that
front of the line pass. Ithink it's good up until I don't know,
five, six, seven o'clock, and then they don't honor that anymore
because it gets too crowded. Butthat's a great way to see the fair.
The food is always great. Pleasetell me that Pink's Hot Dogs is
back this year. They are They'realways here, yeah, yeah, I

(14:46):
know they're one of your favorites.Yeah. And you know, we are
still controlling our attendance every good.So there is a limit to the number
of people that can you know, come into the fair every year, so
you got to get your ticket aheadof time online. But what that does
is it creates a great guest experience. It's not as crowded, the lines

(15:09):
are shorter, and there's just somuch fun to enjoy. That's great.
And what is the what are thebig headliners this year for the concerts?
Okay, Stray Cats, we'll behere later this month. Yes, two
nights, two nights of Stray catscool in the game. Next Wednesday is
coming. We've got the English Beattonight, four Nights of Revolution if you

(15:33):
love reggae. Oh my gosh, this is the year. In the Pacific
Amphitheater, Alice Cooper is coming.Anybody remember Alice? Yeah? Isn't that
awesome? And then some shows afterthe fair too. We'll have Trevor Noah
on closing night, and later inSeptember, John Fogerty and Bonnie Rait will

(15:54):
be here. It's a really goodconcert series this year. You know,
it's always a nice place to getaway from the news and politics. When
you go there, there's nobody bangingon you to register to vote for this
guy or that gal or whatever. You just get the hell away. It's
not allowed. That kind of talkis not allowed at the LP Care.

(16:14):
Neither are calories. No calories allowedat the That's cool. What does it
cost? I know it probably varies, but what if you know family four
wants to go? What does itstart at? For kids? So on
Wednesdays and Thursdays it's thirteen dollars foradults, nine dollars for kids six to
twelve years old and seniors sixty andover. And then Friday, Saturday,

(16:37):
and Sunday. Still nine dollars forseniors and kids, but fifteen dollars for
adults. That is a sweet deal. That's lower than it was last year.
Well, it's the same as itwas last year, just steams lower
because everything everything out there is expensive. Yeah, that's right. Every time
I go there, I feel likea child. I feel like I'm,

(16:59):
you know, nine again walking aroundwith the lights and the noise and the
smell of the food, and it'sjust a great place to go. And
it's really tough to see it allin one day. You sort of have
to spend a week in there.I agree. I agree. You got
to come a couple of times andmaybe do you know, uh do the
carnival one day, you see someshows, you know, uh, take

(17:22):
in a little bit a little biteach day. Is the big fairest wheel
with the individual air conditioners back.It is Lagron Wheel. I love that.
Yep. Yeah, the greatest placeyou know to be at the top
of the You always hope that itstops to pick up more riders when you're
at the very top, that's right, so you know, you get a
great view and it's all air conditionYeah, and I love the fact they

(17:45):
keep it moving, you know, they load and unload while it still moves.
Yep, I don't think so,Tom. That sounds like another ride
though we've Maybe it was just aguy running it that year didn't know how
to run it maybe, Or didyou just stop and have a couple couple
beers on the way? I hadbeers on me, well I was you

(18:07):
know. The guy says, hey, you can't bring those down with you,
and I'm like, I don't havethem move with me at all.
Pop them open. Michelle, Thanksfor coming on. Really appreciate it.
We'll see you down there at somepoint. Congratulations. How many years you
been with them? Now? Thisis my twenty fourth fare right there?
Good for you. Yeah, Ilove it. I love it. Greatest
job in the world, I betit is. I think they'll keep you
all right, Thanks, Michelle, really appreciate it, all right, take

(18:29):
care? All right? There shegoes. She is the CEO. Michelle
Richards. We went to a collegetogether. She went on to have a
really cool job at the Orange CountyFair and I'm sitting here with stephush.
So there you go. But sheis the CEO. The events center general
manager runs the whole joint ask forwhen you go down there. I don't

(18:51):
know what he'll buy you, butmaybe you can give her a ding dong.
Who knows Michelle Richards. You're listeningto Tim Conway Junior on demand from
KFI. We're gonna be talking toMark Ronner, who is the anchor for
the Moe Kelly Show about Comic Conand also Deadpool. That third installment of

(19:14):
Deadpool is out there. A lotof people want to go see that this
weekend, and you got to seeit this weekend or else they could get
destroyed. People could you know, ruin it for you by talking about it
online? So you got to checkit out, all right. There's an
unbelievable story coming out of Tarzana.Guy's house is on fire. The fire

(19:36):
department shows up. He's crying becausehis cat is still inside. His cat
is still inside that house. Andwhat did La City Fire do? They
risk their lives to go in andget that cat out alive? What a
story. Firefighters rescued a cat froma burning home in Tarzana. The owner

(19:56):
was overcome with emotion, falling toa hugging his cat giving it water.
That fire started last night near WestphamStreet fire and smoke we're seen coming from
that roof. After some time,Cruise did manage to put that fire out.

As part of this, the NBAis saying that it rejected Warner Brothers Discoveries

(21:06):

games. Disney remains home of theNBA Finals, Christmas Day, ESPN games
on Wednesday, NBA Saturday Primetime inABC, and NBA Sunday Showtime packages.
NBCUniversal to telecast Opening Night, NewSunday Night Primetime games and Tuesday regionalized games,

(21:26):
and then Prime Video also getting itsown package of streaming games. Back

from here. Kobe Bryant at StapleCenter, his locker at Staple Center,
which is now what crypto dot com. His locker is up for sale.
Piece of Kobe Bryant's legacy is onthe auction block, but it won't come

(21:47):
cheap. SOFABS is selling his StapleCenter locker and there's a chance it could
sell for over a million dollars. The auction runs through August. Second.
Meantime, a public viewing of Bryan'smemorabilia starts this weekend in New York City.
The winning bid also scores a scrapbookand a poster from his last game.
Proceeds will benefit the Lakers Youth Foundation. Oh that's a cool deal,

(22:07):
all right. The Olympics are goingon. Celine Dion was the big performer
and Lady Gaga was there as well. Big deal at the Olympics. Huge
deal. It's Celene Dion's triumphant returnto singing after stiff person syndrome sidelined her
for nearly four years. Yees peez, what a voice that is unbelievable.

(22:41):
Woo. With tons of celebs lookingon, the Icon delivered, making good
on last month's promise. I'm goingto go back on stage, even if
i have to crawl. The incredibleand emotional three and a half minutes solo
amid the Eiffel Tower in the rainwas simply showstopping. The fifty six year
old belted out her notes in astunning beaded white gown with tassels, leaving

(23:03):
many, including commentator Kelly Clarkson, speechless. I actually can't talk well.
So this is a look at gagayslast minute rehearsal for her five minute long,
quick changing piano plane aerial solo alongthe sind and yesterday the Olympics Comeback
Queen was mob by fans giving peakSeline through her son roots son Renee Charles

(23:27):
was in toe. Meanwhile, MotherMonster flashed the peace sign. More musicians
flooding France. What makes the Olympicsso special that the whole world is watching
that one time. Yeah, thatwas Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg carrying that
torch that the whole world is watchingthat one time. And he's gonna do
some commentary too. He's great becausehe really doesn't know or care much about

(23:48):
the Olympics. And I like that, and he's very very funny, very
funny. But I'm glad she gotover that stiff person syndrome. Never heard
of that before, but I can'timagine. I can imagine that's probably paralyzing
stiff person syndrome. Oh boy,all right, when we come back,
