then Katerina's Club. Yes, butthe Marango one you can't just walk into.
You gotta be invited. No,that is true. That is true.
Can I be invited to the MarongoOne? I like a good casino
moment? Probably not, Phillis, see if you can blow her off?
Oh my god, this is awkward. You're invited, Heather, You're always

(01:04):
invited. Do you bet with bothhands when you're gambling. I'm not sure
how to answer that. I don'tknow if it's a double on tundra,
what are you? What are youtrying to say? You spend way too
much? Oh? Yes, yeah, I'm with you. You run through
stop signs? Yeah, pretty much. My husband and my daughter likes to
joke about how I'm spending her collegefund whenever we go. Oh is that

(01:26):
right? Yeah, until she's endup, you know, ends up at
Valley College because you're broke. Butwhat's your game? Slot machines? You
know, I like Roulette. I'ma roulette cow. I like Roulette,
and I do love a good slotmachine. But I like there's something about
roulette that's kind of fun and alittle dangerous. What's your play on roulette?
Middle? I'm a red five.I like to bet on red five

(01:47):
a lot, and I like togo right in the middle in the numbers.
Just go in, go big orgo home. Yeah, I mean
you what, it's a thirty fiveto one yeah for a number. Yeah,
if you hit it, you wina good good amount. Yeah,
you would a lot, and especiallyif if they give you chips worth like
a quarter fifty cents. It lookslike you have a million dollars in front
of you, you feel like,See, I like to play downtown because

(02:08):
you you feel like I mean thefirst of all, the minimum bed is
much lower, Like you can playdollar roulette, you know, and you
can stand there for hours on onehundred bucks. Oh yeah, easily.
Yeah. Oh that's great. Goodfor you. Yeah, you got to
come out to Morongo. I wouldlove that. That'd be great, all
right. Medical tourism. A lotof people don't have the money to get

(02:28):
the procedure done here in the UnitedStates, so they're wandering off or an
experimental, experimental treatment that they don'tdo here in the United States, Like
what's the one where they what's thatcall where they cut your weenie off?
Vasectomy? Yes, yeah, vaseectomy. They don't cut it off though,
right, I don't know. Ithink they do. I don't think they

(02:53):
do. I don't know. I'venot had one. I'll report back if
average. Yeah, let us know. Are you thinking of castration second week?
I'm not gonna go that far.I don't think so. Now.
I'll get back to you, though, I'll get back to you. I'll
get back to put a Turkey toget the most in depth check up of
my life and it was the greatestthing I've ever done for my health and
my bank account. For twenty nineyear old brim Elise. No vacation is

(03:16):
complete without a trip to the doctor. So I usually will do like four
vacations a year. And I'll kindof see what without a trip to the
doctor? So I usually will dolike four vacations a year. Who's doing
that? Who's doing four vacations ayear in twenty twenty four? How is
that possible? And I'll kind ofsave all my health and beauty treatments for

(03:39):
those little births. The Idaho nativehas been traveling overseas for healthcare for the
past two years. What a brag? What a brag with this Iowa woman?
The Idaho native has been an Idahoneighbor. The Idaho native has been
traveling overseas for healthcare for the pasttwo years. Wow, man, she
must look great. What were yourbiggest surprises? You can go abroad and

(04:00):
you can get things nice things thatare so expensive in the US, so
using the same machine, same technologyfor a fraction of the cost. Like,
what what are you going over there? Do? Alice has basic health
insurance in the US. But saysshe prefers going overseas because of access and
affordability, as she showed in thisviral video. Now our after radiology for
a chest X ray and an abdominalultrasound, we also did a thyroid ultrasound.

(04:25):
At least says she had more thanthirty scans and tests done for less
than one thousand dollars. Oh,I got to do this. I got
to do this, and results camethe same day. She pays out of
pocket. Are you concerned at allabout the quality of the tests or the
results and how they might compare towhat you would get in the United States?
Yes, radically concerned. The mostconcerned of human being could be yes.

(04:47):
The answer is yes. You knowwhat, I used to be really
nervous. I really think it callcomes down to just doing a ton of
research. Start with the Google reviews. You filter by the worst reviews.
You're just trying to dig up dirton the provided that you're going to.
You're looking for any red flags. The CDC says millions of Americans traveled to
another country for medical care every year, typically Mexico or Canada. Yeah,

(05:10):
I have a person that I knowthat went to Tijuana for his or her
dental work, and she got aquote here. It was gonna be thirty
eight thousand dollars in Los Angeles. She had the exact same work done in
Tijuana for four thousand dollars. Fourgrand might be worth it, but Europe

(05:31):
and Asia are also attracting Americans lookingto save money. Some of the most
common procedures include dental and cosmetic surgeries, but some are also turning abroad for
more affordable fertility treatments. Oh,fertility treatments. Wow, we stay for
what the reason? Amara? Weare going to do our IVF embryo transfer.

(05:53):
Alessio Passini and Jesse Higgins have beentrying to have a baby for five
years. Higgins has endured multiple surgeriesfor endometriosis. Are my patient? The
couple decided to try in vitro? That sounds like a character from Sarah Live.
Are I patient? That's my patient? The wild and how's my wild

(06:13):
and crazy patients? Are my patientdoing? The couple decided to try in
vitro? Sounds like Yakov Smirnoff, doesn't it? Are my patient? Yeah?
In Russia, we put you ontable. In the United States,
we put a table on you. That was his whole act. And I
like the guy. I like Yakoff. I'm not busting his balls. May

(06:36):
sound like it, but I'm not. His whole act was. You know,
in America, you getting cab.In Russia, cab gets on you.
And I'm like, wow, quitea formula the couple decided to In
America, you drink vodka. InRussia, vodka drinks you. The couple

(06:57):
decided to try in vitro fertilization, but IVF is not covered by their insurance.
It was going to be uppers ofthirty thousand dollars just for one round.
So when we did speak with theclinic in Italy, we found out
that we could do three rounds therefor the price of one. Here Cassini
is from Italy and speaks Italian, helping to translate when needed. How would

(07:20):
you compare the care that you've receivedin the US to what you experienced in
Italy? Grim? As far asprofessionalism, I felt like they were very
on par with each other. Yeah, Grim, wildly Grim. The CDC
advises Americans to research the doctor andclinic before traveling for medical care. Well,

(07:41):
that's a good idea. Do alittle research before you you go have
a vest academy or lobotomy, speakto their primary doctors to make a plan
for follow up care and budget enoughtime for recovery overseas. My my dad
always had a rule of thumb thathe never went to a doctor's office with
wheels under it. That was hisrule of thumb. So like campers or

(08:03):
motor homes, anytime there's wheels underthe doctor's office red flat. So I
sort of picked that up up onthat and I'm transferring that knowledge to my
daughter. It's generational doctor knowledge thatwe share in our family. The agency
says the most common complications are infectionrelated. What the agency says, the

(08:26):
most common complications are infection related. That seems like a big deal to get
a radical infection. Doctor Lisa Rottsis the acting director of the CDC Traveler's
Health Branch. If you do encountershe's going to s all over it.
There's no way the CDC is goingto prove this. She's going to s
all over this idea. Doctor LisaRotts is the acting director of the CDC

(08:48):
Traveler's Health Branch. If you doencounter complications, what should you do?
Do you need to seek treatment? With the hospital where you got your procedure,
and if you have complications when you'rehearing us, go to your doctor
and make sure and be you know, upfront with them about the procedures that
you had. Yeah, the CDC, the head of the CDC, doctor

(09:09):
Rotts. Doctor Rotts talking about infectionsoverseas. You couldn't write that. Passini
and Higgins have returned home. They'retracking their IVF journey with a local doctor.
While the back and forth travel hasn'tbeen easy, they say the savings
outweighs the inconvenience to have a pricethat doesn't require us to take out a

(09:31):
loan or take out a second mortgageon our home and go into debt just
for the chance to have a baby. Ah. I wish they had my
baby. Man, babies are thebest. I saw a woman at Pavilions
the other night. She had likea two year old and a four year
old in the cart and they're asking, you know, questions like two and
four year olds. Do what Imissed that? Man? I miss that

(09:52):
a lot. I don't think Ihave the energy for it anymore, but
I do miss that. I do. And Heather, I bet you the
same way. Your daughter is whatyou say eleven twelve eleven, and you
could probably remember it like it wastwo days ago that you were holding in
your arm. I do. It'sso strange how quickly time goes by.
I feel like she was just ababy. Is it the greatest thing that's

(10:13):
ever happened to you? Honestly, yes, I know it sounds cheesy and
corny, but everything else has compaledin comparison to being a mom. It's
a billion light years in front ofanything you'll ever do. And I just
watch her growing into this wonderful person. And don't get me wrong, we
are definitely in between preteen years andthere are moments where I'm like, oh
God, but she's amazing. Ilove it. I was talking one of

(10:37):
my dad's friends got named Ron Clark, very funny writer. He said,
the only good thing about having kidsis about every seven years that make you
laugh. That's a great convent. You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand
from KFI AM six forty. Weusually don't get terribly excited about remotes,

(11:00):
but we are just on the moonfor this one because it's Huntington Beach,
which I love. I've been involvedwith the Huntington Beach Parade before many many
years, enjoyed that a lot ofpeople listen to KFI in Orange County.
A lot of people live in HuntingtonBeach. So join us at Bjay's Restaurant
and brew House downtown Huntington Beach Thursdaythis Thursday, August first, from four

(11:24):
to seven pm. Be part ofthe show. I don't know how.
I don't know how, but youit says here, be part of the
Conway Show. You'll be a prettyminor part, but you could be part
who knows. They can applaud andthey can also get five dollar Bjay's handcrafted
signature beers, six dollars, brewhouse margaritas, and Bellio's favorite seven dollars

(11:50):
mini deep dish pizzas Man two hundredMain Street, just blocks from the sand
at Huntington Beach. You're gonna loveit. You'd be like, I love
it. I'm thinking about going downthe night before, staying overnight, so
when I have to deal with traffic, yeah you should. Thursday is tough.

(12:11):
Everybody's on the road on Thursday. It is the new Friday. Yeah,
and it would take me three hoursto get down there. One of
the reasons I didn't go to delMar this weekend. I put in on
Saturday. I thought, well, everybody's home watching the Olympics. I could
slide down to del Mar. SoI put it in ways from Burbank to
del Maar So Burbank, the SanFernando Valley to northern San Diego four hours
and ten minutes. No really, for one hundred and two miles. That's

(12:37):
twenty five miles an hour. Youcan do that on a bike, Well
not really, but close you could, but you probably you won't. All
right, we got more news toget into. We talked about the medical
tourism, that's a big deal. And then we had the barricaded man.
This guy made some poor choices.Let's find out how that went. Well.

(13:01):
We are right near the ten Freewayon the Beverlywood Culver City border on
Southam Avenue and Beverlywood Street. Stilla very active scene here as investigators try
and determine what led up to theshooting an officer involved shooting Monday morning in
this quiet Beverlywood neighborhood, LAPD officerssurrounding a home with a barricaded suspect inside.

(13:24):
This was the view from Air seventhrough the clouds, you can see
the suspect on the ground in frontof officers when all of the sudden,
he appears to run at them. The LAPD says the suspect had a knife.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Nah, you can't do that.
Gang. Look, I'm not tellingyou anything. You probably don't know,

(13:45):
but you can't run out a copcarrying a knife. It's never gonna
go in your favor. Ever, until the officer's body Warren, which was
on during the incident, is viewedby investigators, I'm hesitant to talk about
exactly what the suspect did with theknife. This all started shortly after three
twenty Monday morning, when the LAPDnoticed the home where the burglary call originated

(14:09):
was on fire. The LAFD arrived, entered the house and put out the
fire, but during that time theyencountered the burglary suspect, who they said
had a knife, and they quicklyexited the home. They used a bean
bag shotgun. The suspect ran backinto the home further in. At that
point they declared a barricade. AnLPED swat was requested. I wonder if

(14:33):
the spokesperson for lapd Ever uses theterm the vibes went bad, because that's
essentially what happened. That was aroundfive point fifteen this morning. I knew
the confident arrest them, but notall this. Thomas, who didn't want
to show his face, lives rightnext door and says the suspect first tried
to climb through a window into hishome, but that didn't work, so

(14:56):
he went next door, causing awoman inside to run out. That's when
police say the suspect lit the homeon fire. Oh my god, at
three thirty in the morning, youexpect control in your house, and this
lunatic breaks him, sets the houseon fire, has a knife, and

(15:16):
he's making your your life. Uhwild Wild lit the home on fire.
That's when we noticed that the guywas still there because he came out the
bathroom. Come out, brother sprayshim with the water holes. But at
that time he was already undressed.Tod figure he was on something. Guy's
nude, is that right? Butat that time he was already undressed.

(15:39):
Oh my god, he's got tobe on something. Guy's nude undressed,
well whatever, naked nude undressed?God, figure, he was on something.
He was doing something because no oneactually like that that that's right.
This guy has it down. Actuallythat this guy's smart, dude. And

(16:02):
the LAPD says that that large knifewas located near the suspect. None of
the residents who live here were injured. Oh all right, home invasion.
When we come back, it's hittingsilver Lake East Hollywood. That's a very
cool neighbor. A lot of oldcraftsman homes there. People enjoy themselves and
they were told to shelter in placebecause somebody is breaking into homes in the

(16:27):
silver Lake East Hollywood area. Wewill come back with that story, and
don't forget Thursday. We will beat Huntington Beach at BJ's Restaurant and brew
House. So come on down.Let's make this a big event, all
right. If you live in OrangeCounty, we do the show for free.
We don't charge you for it.And your responsibility is to come out

(16:48):
for these live events. And ifyou don't, I look down on you.
I just do. If you livein Orange County you don't come out,
shame on you. Shame on you. Enough set you're listening to Tim
Conway Junior on demand from KFI AMsix forty. This we do a feature

(17:11):
every single Monday at six thirty eight. It's Beware of Crime. I know
it doesn't have a fancy title, but we're more interested in keeping you safe
and not having a fancy title. And it's also being brought to you by

(17:32):
Hair dot Com. We have homeinvasions happening in the Silver Lake area,
East Hollywood. I like to callit, and it's not good. It's
not good. The cops are tellingpeople to stay inside, certainly unnerving for
the folks who live in this neighborhoodhere in Silver laca's word is spreading about
these overnight break ins, primarily happeningwhen people are asleep. We actually spoke

(17:55):
with one man who woke up atfour o'clock in the morning to find a
stranger standing in the bedroom. Lookat how the late night intruder got into
this Silver Lay home. He priedopened the window bars, ripped off the
screen and launched it in there tocreate enough room for him to climb through
the window and into a home wherea man was sleeping inside. Wow,
this is his footprint on the couch. His first step. I don't even

(18:15):
have manners. He's got a footprinton the couch. This is his footprint
on the couch. Obviously he didn't, wasn't born and raised by a strict
mom, because strict mom's always said, don't put your feet on the couch.
Don't put your feet on the couch, don't put your shoes on the

(18:36):
couch. How many times do youhear that as a kid, don't put
your feet No, no, no, hey, Sharon, don't put your
feet on the couch. His shoesdon't belong on the furniture. Yes,
no, no, no, don'tput your shoes on the ah, damn
it. His first step into ahome on Man's Aneath Street at four in
the morning. It's kind of surprising. This is like a safer neighborhood,

(18:56):
so you don't really think it's goingto happen, but coming outside and seeing
it happen, it's kind of ashopping it's happening. It's like the what
is that movie The Bridesmaids, It'shappening. It's happening with my Rudolph's going
number two in that wedding dress.McCarthy, Yeah, Melissa McCarthy is in
that movie too. Yeah, butmy Rudolph was in the dress, wasn't

(19:18):
she. Yeah, it's happening whenshe was crossing this streets and she's waving
traffic by. But early Saturday morning, it happened several times in silver Lake
and East Hollywood. LAPED simply callingit a series of hot prowl residential burglaries?
Do you hear that? That's what'sgoing on? The silver Lake area
in Los Angeles APD, simply callingit a series of hot prowl residential burglaries,

(19:41):
which is a break in when someone'shome. What is with all this
crime? Everybody thinks they're going tobe the next victim. I when I'm
working outside late at night, Ihave the garage open. I stop and
listen for every noise because I thinkI'm going to get wiped out. And
I live in a pretty safe areaof burbank, but I don't care.

(20:04):
I think I'm gonna get wiped out. Well, police wouldn't say how many
middle of the night breakings occur. They did say in one home invasion,
a woman was sexually assaulted. Theman who was sleeping when the intruder climbed
through his living room window, sayshe woke up to a shadowy figure just
standing there wearing his hoodie. Hejumped out of bed, charged to the
suspect, who ran off. LAPDquickly responded, even bringing canines to try

(20:26):
to track down the suspect. Ithink it was like K nine units maybe
coming out the sniff around. Sothat was pretty much it. No one
really was told anything. LAPD hasn'treleased a suspect description. The man we
spoke with said it was too dark, so people here don't know what to
look out for. I've never knownbeing afraid in this area while I lived
here, but I never forgot thatit was a possibility. Yeah you do.

(20:49):
Now everybody thinks that their area isfilled with crime, maybe because we
see it on TV where you hearabout the news, but everybody is where
the crime is up. Residents toldus about three hot proud burglaries within a
few blocks of Manzanita that morning, but police haven't said just how many more
there were and if it was allthe same man. A lot of unanswered

(21:11):
questions for a threat, everyone istaken seriously, so, I mean,
this is my home, so naturallyit kind of makes me question the safety
of my neighborhood. Overall, Imean, I feel pretty safe. I
walk around all the time, Iwalk around with my very large dogs.
I think typically I feel pretty comfortable, But when things like this are happening,
it gives me a moment for polsfor sure. That's right, that's

(21:33):
right. Got to keep those bigdogs with you. Neighbor's certainly on the
lookout and looking out for each other. Police LAPD. Also in these neighborhoods,
we actually saw two cruisers just driveby in the last two or three
minutes or so, so obviously increasedpatrols after these incidents that happened in the
overnight hours. Ah. Man,Yeah, you got to keep those big
dogs around you. You know,if you got dogs, that's the best

(21:56):
of turn. He does. Bigdoggies next to you. And some kids
like to pet the big dogs. And no, no, no, no,
I think she listens silver like that. That little girl. No wow,

(22:26):
man loves that dog. That dog'sa bear. That's why her mom
and dad wouldn't let her pet it. Dog could have that bear could have
run off with her. All right. That was our segment brought to you
by Advanced Hair One day treatment,Life changing results. Make your appointments today.
Advanced hair dot com. You're listeningto Tim Conway Junior on demand from

(22:48):
k f I A M six forty. It's Conway Show, all right,
ding Dong, don't forget Thursday,or I should say hot dog hot Dog.
It's the new newest one because somewoman who's been listening to the show
for quite some time, here's hotdog instead of ding dong. So we're
changing it just for her. Seemsnice. Hot dog, Yeah, hot

(23:14):
dog, hot dog, hot dog. And maybe we got to get a
sponsor. Oscar Meyer. It's prettysad. Last I was walking through pavilions
and I saw the Oscar Meyer baloney. He used to have like fifteen to
twenty different ones. Now there's likefour. I think it's on its way
out. I love baloney, especiallyOscar Meyer Wiener. Wasn't that a line

(23:40):
from the practice he was talking toMichael Skoy was talking to Oscar the office,
I mean not the practice office.Yeah, yes, he say Oscar
Mayer Wiener, and then he saidsomething else after Wiener. I don't think
we can say it on the air. Can we we can say that?
Can we? Yeah? Trusting whatFoosh says we can say here. I

(24:02):
don't think so, I think wecan play it. I don't think I
would say maybe all right. RVcontroversy along PCH bad vibes out the beautiful
Pacific Ocean, crashing on the shoreand overlooking all of this a row of
RVs along Pacific Coast Highway. Anumber of people are living in these vehicles.
Michael Rashaud brought all his belongings, which include a homemade helicopter, and

(24:25):
says he is here for now.I'm like a visitor, basically passing through.
Yeah, that's what visitors are passingthrough, passing through. There is
concern about people living in these vehiclesand dumping their waist into the ocean.
Maybe two years ago and there wasa situation where somebody was dumping in the
rocks. Rob Piggy says he isnot homeless. He lives in Palmdale and

(24:49):
brings his RV here for the summer, for the cooler weather and to fish.
He says, there are some homelesshere and they were offered help but
didn't want to take it. Thecities came down here and they offered that
I've been here, I've witnessed it. I witnessed them offered that's why I
said. I think they're out hereby choice, not by force. There

(25:11):
are parking rules. As you cansee, you can't look if you're going
to be homeless, might as wellpark your v nex to the ocean instead
of sell mar I'd do that ina heartbeat between two and four in the
morning. But people here I spokewith say that's rarely enforced. You have
to move FROMPUW to four according tosheriff, and then you can come back
over. Do a move. No, wait a minute, la not enforcing

(25:37):
rules, regulations, laws, enforcementsnot kind of odd. No, nobody
moves. I move? You do, yes, I do. This area
is both in the county and Cityof Los Angeles. Oh, there's gonna
be a problem with that. Whohas jurisdiction lawlessness? Part of this is
also in the district of council MemberTracy Park. We're really going to be
looking for an assist here. DrI'm cal Trown's. This is Pacific Coast

(26:02):
Highway. That is state jurisdiction. This cannot become a matter of simply pushing
these RVs into Pacific Palaces or VeniceBeach. Colonel ABC seven eyewitness to you,
All right, let's talk about. We talked about the remote, we'll
mention it again. What the hell? Also, Santa Monica Pier Belly.
I don't know if you saw this, but the iconic Santa Monica peer will

(26:25):
host its first professional boxing match onWednesday, the day after tomorrow. According
to reports both on talkSPORT dot Comand Sports Illustrated, American boxing star Terrence
Crawford will conduct his customary fight weekworkout at the pier in preparation for his

(26:47):
August third bout against the boxer Madriemoffmadiram Off Israel Madamoff. I think i'd
say pronounce the theme. This year'sworkout would be unique as it will be
followed by a professional boxing card andit's all going to take place on the

(27:07):
thirty first, So that'll be abig deal. Get on out to the
Santa Monica Pier and watch boxing rightthere on the pier. Oh yeah,
kind of a cool deal if youget out there over the weekend. I
told step Fush about this because Igot the news late on Friday that Chipolte

(27:30):
some people called Chipotle, but Chipoltle. They are now offering the full big
servings of meat and rice and vegetablesand cheese and means. Evidently some of
the Chipotles were skimping a little onthe size of the burrito, and now
they've been told no, no,no, no, no. You load

(27:52):
those suckers up. That's what wedo here at Chipolte, and they load
those babies up. So if youwent to chipolt we went over on Saturday,
they're loading them up again. Idon't know if you did you go
over the weekend, it's definitely no. I didn't get a chance to go
this weekend. Probably go this weekSo what's your order there? Uh,
it's I usually get the burritle bowlwith steak. Oh nice, my favorite.

(28:15):
It is great. And you know, it's one of the very few
places where if you order a headonline, it's always ready. When they
say it's ready, Oh yeah, they're They're terrific because I'll put the order
and the one down the street fromthe station, like as I'm leaving,
and it'll be there. I sawtwo guys at my Chipotle on Riverside.
I walked in and they're both eatingenjoying their meal. But on closer observation,

(28:37):
they were both eating subway. Theybought subway and then they took it
took it to Chipotle to eat there, and I thought, oh, that's
odd, kind of rude and oddat the same time. Big Dog or
Hot Dog, don't forget on Thursday, Big Remote on Thursday, Huntington Beach,

(29:00):
two hundred Main Street, BJ's Restaurantand bro House, a lot of
specials, beer, Margarita's pizzas. That's seven dollars mini Deep Dish pizza.
I can't wait to tackle a coupleof those suckers. And we're gonna be
doing a live up broadcast from fourto seven pm, three hours, and
we would like you to come outand check it out. It's gonna be

(29:22):
a great time, great, greattime. Ron I thought of you over
the weekend. I saw the numberson COVID. They didn't look good.
No, no, I'm already hearingfrom people who went to the Comic Con
in San Diego. Oh, wehad to spend the whole weekend in their
