Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's KFI Am sixty and you're listening to the Conway
Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app. All right, we
did earthquake coverage in the first hour, hope you enjoyed them.
And we got a lot of other stuff going on,
and you know, there's some big stuff going on, some
not so big stuff going on. And the big story

(00:23):
was the earthquake last night. Here's a story that's not
as big as the earthquake, but still interesting.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Happened in Burbank.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
And this coyote is fighting a bear in Burbank.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Lions, tigers and bears, oh my, but in this case
it was coyotes chasing bears. Take a look the amazing
confrontation caught on video in a Burbank neighborhood.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Everyone is becoming a hole now, not only human beings,
but now animals. I don't know, there's something in the air.
Then everyone's aggressive, very aggressive. That fight in West Hollywood
just Sady reported there was a guy killed yesterday in
West Holly. Turns out is two guys fighting for a
parking spot. Get this at a seven eleven. Even if

(01:08):
you pull into a seven eleven and there's no spots available,
if you stand on the hood of your car or
on the roof of your car, you can see another
seven eleven. They're very close by, and they both fought
for a parking spot. They both tried to get that
parking spot. They got out. They were pissed. One guy
punched the other guy in the face and killed him.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Killed him.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
So, look, we're in a new area in life and
up until.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Election because people are tense with the election. What's going on.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
The heat's crazy, People are broke, people lost money in stocks,
people are not getting the health care from work. There's
a lot going on financial with people, and so you
can't argue about parking spots anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
That has sailed.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
If somebody you're waiting for a parking spot, somebody's snakes
you and gets that spot, eat it, swallow it, Go
get another spot. It's not worth dying over a parking spot.
There'll be another one. Come up real shortly.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
And our Leo stall worked. He is live there to
tell us Hall how it all went down. This is
very interesting to watch.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Leo absolutely my friend. And before we get into it,
if y'all see a bear tiptoeing up behind me wanting
to cuddle, just give me a jingle.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
By the way, yes, folks in this neighborhood amazed seeing
coyotes chasing a bear. We've got it on video.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Here's more that's wild. Huh. Wildlife is even angry?

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Yeah they o is a burbank off of Elmwood Avenue
residents capturing ring camera video of coyotes chasing a bear.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
I was really excited to see him on the ring like.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Other residents of the area, Barbara Kerr and saying she's
used to seeing coyotes rom the neighborhood, but not bears.
The sighting happening roughly a week ago after nine pm.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
Our neighbor actually quite a while ago, had captured a
mountain lion on their ring camera, which was pretty spectacular then.
But when I saw the bear, I got really excited
because we had heard that he was in the area
and just seeing him just made me feel like a
little girl again.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Oh, that's very It's a nice life that you got
going where you can reach that excitement level on seeing
a bear. And I'm not saying I'm not joking about this.
I'm saying that's beautiful. If you are in life where
you get excited to see a bear running around the neighborhood.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
I think you're onto something. I think you're living.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Life perfectly, perfectly where you get it up for kind
kind of stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Really, why was that exciting to me?

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Oh see, okay, the perfect example. She just said, she
got really excited. She felt like a little girl.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Remember, made me feel like a little girl again? Okay,
all right, made her feel like a little girl again.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
And then the very jaded reporter like all of them are,
and for a reason, they're covering news all the time,
bad news all the time. It's like working in an
emergency room. After a while, your numb to somebody come
in with a gun shop first time, when it comes
in the gunshot, you flip out like, holy Christ, that
guy's been chopping to God. But after about six years,

(04:05):
like room five. Okay, so she feels like she's a
little girl because she saw the bear. Now, let's see
what Leo stalwarts reaction to that is.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Really, why was that exciting to see the difference? Really?
Why was that exciting to you?

Speaker 1 (04:23):
He's curious, like he can't get up for that because
he's seen a lot in his life. But she's living
a better life where she gets excited over stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
That's the way to go through life.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
No, I love having all the wildlife around.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
Barbara noticing the coyotes were actually chasing the bear.

Speaker 5 (04:40):
We had her quiet ruckus that night with the coyotes,
and so you know, we're like, Okay, they probably caught something.
And then when I saw the ringo, I'm like, oh,
the coyotes were excited about the bear, you know, whether
it's defensive or not.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
These people live up in the hills and they they
have a switch that that always gets turned.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
You know.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
They love the coyotes, they love the bears. They see
a mountain lion, they name it. They can't believe they
saw C. Three pl whatever that mountain lion was. What
was that mountain lion? There was cruising through LA for
a long time. C.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
P thirty, p.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Thirty fifty one, p.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Twenty one, p. Thirty eight, P one, p two, P. Three.
I'm gonna go through them p. Four, p. Twenty two, p.
Twenty two Almost got there.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
So people see that, you know, the bears and the
wildlife and all that stuff. And then when a coyote
comes in their yard and kills their dog.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
They flip out. That switch me.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
It gets it flipped immediately, and they go after those coyotes.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
They want them dead.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
They get the guns out, they put meat out there,
they put traps out there, and they want that coyote
dead because that coyote killed a family member.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Did you notice the coyotes were chased.

Speaker 6 (06:01):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
I was surprised that the coyotes were even that close
to the bear. I would have figured maybe they would
have just said, okay, final, let's leave the bear alone.
But they were actually quite curious about the bear and
wanting to go say it, say hi and say hey,
what's going on?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Say what what?

Speaker 5 (06:19):
Go say it, say hi and say hey.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
I always wanted to say hi to the bear. I
think we've been watching too many cartoons.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
Go say it, say hi, and say hey, what's going
on here?

Speaker 1 (06:29):
No, that's not how wildlife works. Wildlife is is on
or off. They're either running or hunting. It's the binary code.
It's the what do they call that, the reptilian cortex?
Fight or flight. That's what's going on in.

Speaker 7 (06:47):
Wildlife country, Bear jamboree.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
No, it's not. It is not.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
They're looking to either eat or they're getting eaten. That's
that's how wildlife works.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
Outside of being concerned about small pets and little kids,
residents in this neck of the woods are not too
concerned about seeing a bear and coyotes roaming their neighborhood.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
Seeing coyotes a bunch, seeing a bear over her here's
kind of crazy though.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
Yeah, And outside of cars and a bit of a
ruckus in the neighborhood, the wild animals didn't hurt anybody.
That's the good stuff.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
That is kind of cool though.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
I mean, I will, I will give them that that
there's a coyotes and bears and mountain lions cruising around.
But you got to keep your pets inside because the
coyotes don't come up and say hi to your dogs.
They they snap their necks and then they eat them
in front of you. Sorry, that's just why wildlife works.

(07:38):
So got to keep your pets inside. And coyotes are
getting more and more vicious and more and more bold.
I saw a woman about a year ago walking a
baby through our neighborhood and there was a pretty big
coyote following her, about ten feet behind her. I said,
you know, man, mam, coyote behind you. And she's like, oh,

(08:00):
that's so funny. She kept walking and I said.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
No, no, no, I'm not apping around.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
I used all effort and let her know how serious.
And she turned around. She screamed, and the coyote took off.
But you hear it all the time. The coyotes take dogs,
cats and babies.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
That just happened in Irvine on the Jeffrey Trail.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
A woman was walking a little Chihuahua and the dog
was walking behind her, and the coyote came up and
took the dog.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
And went off with it.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Huh yeah, oh no, yeah, you know, I heard about
it up in Arrowhead, like Arrowhead a couple of years ago,
maybe four or five years ago, where a coyote came
in and took a newborn out of a stroller and
ran off with it and fortunately dropped it and the
newborn was saved by man. Oh man, you gotta be careful.
You've got to be careful out there with these coyotes.

(08:49):
And they liked those little animals, and they don't they
don't really care. You know that that's on a leash.
They'll attack it. That's their food. Careful out there again.
Angel's right, it's not country. You know what is country Jamboree,
Country Bear jam Country Bear Jamboree. Now that's a Disneyland

(09:10):
out there. It's the Wild Wild West up in the hills.

Speaker 8 (09:13):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Forty Godway Show.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Hey, we've got some news about our space travelers. They're
astronauts that went off on for some reason, Boeing said
that they've got airplane traveled down to a science, so
why not get into the space business. And they did,
and they delivered a couple of astronauts to the International
Space Station and then the Boeing spacecraft fell apart. Yeah,

(09:47):
not like the planes. And now they can't come back.
I don't know for another what what belly? I think
I misread this. Did they say they can't come back
for another ten years?

Speaker 2 (09:56):
No? February? Oh, okay, six seven months. Right, let's find
out what's going on.

Speaker 7 (10:01):
Astronauts Butch Willmore and Sonny Williams.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Oh, you don't get any more astronauty than that with
those names.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Butch Williams.

Speaker 7 (10:09):
Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sonny Williams.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Butch Wilmore, Butch what a great astronaut.

Speaker 7 (10:15):
Names Wilmore and Sonny Wall.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Butch and Sonny are going up to the space station.
Butcher and Sonny.

Speaker 7 (10:21):
We're supposed to spend eight days in space, NASA.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Now, So that's great. They're going to go out for
eight days. Now, they're gonna be there for nine years.
We're supposed to spend eight days in space. NASA now
says they could spend eight months.

Speaker 9 (10:35):
Our chances of an uncrewed Starliner return have increased a
little bit based on where things have gone over the
last week.

Speaker 7 (10:42):
Or Starliner has two unresolved issues, helium leaks and worries
about small maneuvering engines that failed on the flight to
the International Space Station NASA's key concern.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Okay, so the two concerns with the space station with
the space capsule, fuel and steering, right, Not napkins in
the men's room, Not pencils that don't have lead, not
a band aid that doesn't isn't pre soaked in neo sporan.

(11:13):
The two problems with the aircraft the spacecraft are the
fuel and the steering.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Seems important.

Speaker 7 (11:24):
Small maneuvering engines that failed on the flight to the
International Space Station NASA's key concern how that propulsion system
will perform during critical phases of flight.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
You know, if you were the astronauts, if you were
a Butcher and Sonny, wouldn't you say, hey, look we're
gonna roll the dice. Let's fire this thing up and
maybe got into blazing glory. Who knows, but I think
i'd die stick my beak into that spacecraft as opposed
to being up there with Butch for eight months.

Speaker 7 (11:54):
Like undocking and the breaking burn on the return to Earth,
the small engines need to fire undreds of times to
keep the spacecraft and the precise orientation. Boeing is confident,
but within NASA there's disagreement.

Speaker 9 (12:08):
They're worried that we don't know for sure, so they
estimate the risk higher and they would recommend that we
avoid coming home because we have another option.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
You know.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
The Boeing guys were asked to go down to NASA
to talk about this, but they said they need another
week because they're in Portland looking at the door that
fell off the plane.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
They're still on that. So if this was you, Tim,
would you just like wait for Elon to send up
like SpaceX, I jump in.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
You know, you have a couple of you know, Russian
Vodka's probably up there. You have a couple of shots
and you get in this thing. Look when you go
to a carnival, you've been to, Andrew, You've been to
those carnivals that show up at a church for a weekend. Yeah,
And one of the fun things about going on those
rides is you don't know if it's gonna you're gonna
make it.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
I know they're not regulated, that's one thing I know exactly.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
And the guys put them together are on meth amphetamines,
and so you know, you get on there, you go, hey,
look it's you know, I know it's uh.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
You know, it may not make it, but that adds
to the thrill. It does. There's a gambling aspect to that.
I'm closer to the ground if something happens though on
those I got that. I get that. I got that option.

Speaker 7 (13:13):
The next SpaceX mission to the ISS could launch with
a crew of two instead of four, leaving two empty seats.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
For that And thanks for doing the math for us Earthlings.
You hear this guy do the math for us could
launch with a crew of This is great. Listen to
this guy do the math for LAUSD Studs out here.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
This is great.

Speaker 7 (13:32):
The next SpaceX mission to the ISS, all right, I
got that could launch with a crew of two instead
of four, leaving two empty seats.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Ah, Wait a minute, that math was too quick for me.
Wait a minute, you had four, but you're only putting
in two. And how many empty seats did he say
you had?

Speaker 7 (13:52):
Could launch with a crew of two instead of four,
leaving two empty seats?

Speaker 2 (13:57):
I don't know. I must have a cow for.

Speaker 7 (14:00):
Wilmore and Williams to return next February. We asked NASA
astronaut Nick Haye about the possibility of giving up his seat.

Speaker 10 (14:08):
Ultimately, those are my colleagues up there, and there's nothing
I want to see more than for them to come
home safely.

Speaker 7 (14:13):
Even if it means that your next trip to space
gets delayed. Absolutely, NASA could make a decision critical to
star Larner's future.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
But late next week, well, what else is this guy
get to say?

Speaker 1 (14:24):
You know, they have asked him to delay his space
launch so two people can be saved and come back
to their family. What else is he going to say? Nah,
I guess I really really want to get up there.
I've had my heart set on it. You know, if
those guys don't make it. Well, they don't make it.
There's a lot of danger in the space business. But
there is a lot of danger in the space business.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
You know. It's it's really it.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
It's you know, when you blast off on those rockets,
you're on a controlled explosion for twenty minutes, and you
hope that that explosion is controlled for twenty minutes. If not,
it's over. And they know that, and that's the risk
they take. And I think that's part of the thrill
of going up there, that you know you you may

(15:09):
not make it. You're a cowboy, you know you're a gambler.
Imagine all those guys are gamblers. They're gambling with their lives.
But man, is that a thrill to be on that
rocket shaken like that, with those g's blasted off out
of space looking out that window. That's gotta be great.
But the downside is it could blow up and it's over.

(15:31):
And they all know that. They all know that. They're
they're thrill seekers.

Speaker 10 (15:34):
You know.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
Those are the guys that on vacation, they don't go
to Vegas.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
They take their kids out to the desert with many
bikes and three wheelers and four wheelers and hauling all
over the place. They work hard and they play hard,
those guys, and so those are the real cowboys, the
real you know guys and gals that are left. They
like that that adrenaline, adrenaline rush they do, and they
get it, you know when they fly up there. All right,

(16:01):
we I hope they come back save but man, eight
day trip turning into an eight month trip.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
That is crazy, God.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Almighty, and and and they may not even come back
in eight months. It may be four months after that,
So an eight eight trip might last a year.

Speaker 8 (16:17):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty, Ding and Dom.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
We got another crime. And in Sino.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
It seems like every day we come on the air,
there's another store, another home that's been robbed in Encino.
They can't get this together. And Encino, this is a
store right off of Newcastle and Ventura. It's a shoe
store right next to that liquor store. It has the
big clock and the big you know, spinning digital clock

(16:49):
on it. So that was a that's a wild story.
All right, We're gonna get to that, but first, but first,
David vat Say is calling in from the La Dodgers.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
David say, hi you, Bob.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
I'm doing great Conway out here at beautiful Dodger Stadium
before the Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies play. It's a big
weekend here at Dodgers Stadium because it's Oldzhimer's Weekend aka
Alumni weekend and one year favorites and many's Dusty Baker
inducted into the Legends of Dodger Baseball on Friday night,

(17:25):
and the legendary Sandy Kofax is expected to attend this
weekend as well. So the Dodgers, what makes them special
are the players that play for them, and they're all
going to be here this weekend. Oh.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Man, I was watching the Dodger again the other day, Buddy,
very emotional when Freddy Freeman came back.

Speaker 6 (17:47):
Oh, that was one of the more memorable nights over
the course of the last thirteen years that I've been
with the Dodgers on an everyday basis. M that was
an emotional night, what a great scene, and the fans
made it special because they were the ones that understood
knew about Freddie's Freddie's son Maximus, who's dealing with a

(18:10):
syndrome that immune system attacks the nervous The nervous system
is only three years old, and Freddie missed the last
nine days and his little three year old son was
on a feeding two util later because it paralyzes the
nervous system. And finally they got it treated and he's
on the way back. And Freddie was back with the

(18:31):
Dodgers three nights ago.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Buddy, I when he tapped the umpire on the shoulder saying, hey,
I'm gonna need a little time here, and they shut
that pitch clock off.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
That was great, Buddy, it was beautiful.

Speaker 6 (18:44):
The umpire understood the situation, the catcher, the Phillies knew
the pictures. So that's what makes baseball special, right, those
type of moments. And can't have that pitchclock get in
the way.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Conway, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
The Dodgers on are are doing well. I think there's
four up now on the padres.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Is that right?

Speaker 6 (19:04):
Well, it's now three and a half over the Arizona Dolls.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
Okay, the Diamondbacks jumped over the Padres.

Speaker 6 (19:11):
They swept a doubleheader today in Pittsburgh. So the Dodgers,
for the first time since twenty twenty one, are in
a division Tenant race, good Padres and Diamondbacks are on
their heels. And if you remember, it was the Arizona
Diamondbacks that unceremoniously swept the Dodgers out of the playoffs

(19:32):
last year.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
I remember that, Buddy, and I think we had the
discussion that, you know, baseball is all about timing, and
when you take five days off, you can't just jump
back into it right.

Speaker 6 (19:44):
Away, right, And that happened to the Dodgers and Atlanta Braids.
Tim It looks like the Dodgers are still going to
be faced with that first class problem because them and
the Phillies are the two best record teams in the
National League.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
Yeah, hey, what about last night?

Speaker 1 (20:03):
I'm watching the game and a graderol is that I
think you pronounce his name. He comes back after and
not pitching at all for the first you know, four
and a half five months, and A pitches into it
and I guess he had shoulder trouble, but A pitches
into it, he pulls a hamstring and he's out for
the rest of the season.

Speaker 6 (20:22):
Well, we got news today that the severity of his
hamstring strain was not Grade three. Dave Roberts, the manager,
walked it back and said it's a Grade one ham
string strain. So if the Dodgers goes through the first
round of the postseason, there's a chance he could be back.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
Oh that's great. They need all the pitching they can.

Speaker 6 (20:42):
Get without a doubt, And Clayton Kershaw was back again
last night Conway. How many times have you heard fans
the critics have this knee jerk reaction and count out
a legend like that. He pitched his best game of
the season and it's only trending in the right direction
from here. So don't count out Clayton Kershaw, who's on

(21:06):
his way to Cooperstown. But certainly it still has a
lot left in the tank because of his competitive desire.
That's what separates him from every other player on the field.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Buddy, I don't.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Please, don't tell the Dodgers I said this, but I
don't like when they're twelve up in August. I like
it when it goes down to the last day or
the last week of the season.

Speaker 6 (21:28):
Well, you're getting your wish because it's a division race.
The NLS has three teams that have really good records.
In the National League. Three of the top five records
are in the National League West, including the Dodgers. So
Tim Conway, you're going to have a car chase type
of feelings good down the stretch here.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
I remember the Dodgers had to win the last game
of the season. This must have been twenty five years ago,
and the San Francisco Giants were in town. They beat
him by ten runs, and that will played third base
and he was pissed the entire game, right.

Speaker 6 (22:04):
Matt was that year nineteen ninety three, Mike Kiska's rookie season.
The Giants needed to win that final game after winning
one hundred and five games, and the Dodgers played spoiler
and Mike Kiatza hit two home runs that Sunday afternoon
at Dodgers Stadium that finished with thirty five in his
rookie season to knock out the San Francisco child Great.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
Yeh, finally re membory you have And I remember the
tauntings from the Dodger dugout to Matt Williams the entire game,
and man did that make him angry?

Speaker 6 (22:40):
Yeah? That was nineteen ninety one where Mike Marshall, or
excuse me, it was in the eighties, nineteen eighty eight
where Mike Marshall hit a home run at Old Candlestick Park,
and he stuck out his middle finger and pointed into
the Giants dugouts as he was rounding the bases. That's
and that created a big issue with the Matt Williams

(23:02):
third baseman you're talking about. There was another time Oral
Herscheizer was chirping from the dugout that created an issue
as well. So a lot of bad blood between those two.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Teams, a lot of great history with that team, Buddy,
I all right, so the Dodgers. What's going on tonight
at Dodger Stadium?

Speaker 6 (23:19):
It's Sandy kofax bobblehead night. Good another Sandy? Would you
like one?

Speaker 10 (23:23):
Conway?

Speaker 6 (23:24):
It's one of ten over the course of the last
thirteen years.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
I would love one.

Speaker 6 (23:29):
I will save you a kofax.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Bable Ah, you're the best man. And then who are
they playing tonight?

Speaker 6 (23:36):
The Philadelphia Phillies. Yeah, one more game. If the Dodgers
went tonight, they went two out of three from Philadelphia,
and then we'll play the Pittsburgh Tirates this weekend. Who
have that sensational rookie pitcher from Southern California, Paul Schemes, yeah,
I'm not sure if you heard of him.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Yeah, he's dating that gymnast from LSU.

Speaker 6 (23:58):
Allis right, they both attended LSU. Schemes was actually went
to Army out of high school because that was his
family background. But baseball and him not fitting in the
Jets that well because he's six ' eight, steered him
to LSU to play baseball. And here he is bursting
onto the scene after winning the national championship last year.

(24:21):
And yes, his girlfriend Conway is what grabs the headlines
people like you.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Yes, I admit that one one.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
I know more about her than I do about him.

Speaker 6 (24:37):
Well, I don't know that much about her except that
she's an attractive, exceptional gymnast.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Yeah, big internet.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Following to buddy, you are complete stud Thanks for coming on,
Go Dodgers and bring home the World Series. And I
want that Kolfax bobblehead.

Speaker 6 (24:54):
It's yours. It's in the male Conway as they say.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
All right, thanks, I appreciate man. All right, Davids a
with the LA Dodgers. I gotta go out and see him. Man,
what a great time to be a Dodger fan. Out
at Dodgers Stadium in Philly tonight on k l A C.
That's five seventy am, and we'll also be on here
as well.

Speaker 8 (25:16):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
We're talking about in Cina. There's yet another crime in Encino,
this time a shoe store right off of Newcastle and Ventura,
between Linley and White Oak. I grew up in that
sort of area, used to ride my bike to Portolo
Junior High and past that liquor store with it. It

(25:46):
was a big clock on the top of a lot
of Neon lights right near the Big Five. Used to
be right there and that store next to it got
robbed last night.

Speaker 10 (25:53):
Rob burglaries and break ins in the Encino area. We
have seen an increasing these incidents in residence and says
businesses are being hit. You can see right here that
the door was smashed and this business has been hit before.
It was a burglary that led to a pursuit. LAPD
responding to the call at Equivalents, a high end sneaker
store in Ventura Boulevard. When police got here, they found

(26:14):
three vehicles. As the suspects took off, they left money scattered.

Speaker 6 (26:18):
On the ground.

Speaker 10 (26:18):
There was a pursuit and at times speeds reached one
hundred miles per hour. LPED eventually lost all three vehicles.
Residents say this is all very frightening.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
I'm very worried.

Speaker 5 (26:28):
Yes, I live in a Seino and Burbank and Lindley,
and I hear a lot of stuff is going on
and I'm planning to move to Florida.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Now, A smart woman, very smart.

Speaker 10 (26:39):
At the scene, the front door was smashed. Officials say
the suspects three cars were two Chevrolet Camaros and a Corvette.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
We closed the door, the window. We don't sleep knife nighttime.

Speaker 10 (26:50):
Exclusive shoes, collectibles and clothing.

Speaker 9 (26:53):
I think this guy got to rob maybe two or
three times and they rubbed the houses on the hills.

Speaker 10 (27:00):
Now, there will be a virtual meeting tomorrow night with police,
the city council and residents.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Well, I should wipe it out, just a zoom meeting.

Speaker 10 (27:07):
There will be a virtual meeting tomorrow night with police,
the city council and residents to focus on crime in
the Encino, Tarzana and Woodland Hills neighborhoods. Council Member Nithia
Rahman says our office is deeply alarmed by the recent
cluster of residential breakings and Encino. It is our top
priority at this time to bring together.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Doesn't seem like a top priority.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
Every night, every day we come on, we do another
story about Encino, a home or business getting robbed.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Priorities doesn't seem to be on top.

Speaker 10 (27:39):
It is our top priority at this time to bring
together the full capacity of the city to prevent the
string of crimes. And police have not released any other
information about these suspects.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
There you go, always another crime. Every time we come on.
We'll come on again tomorrow, there'll be another one and
another one. And man, they can't do anything about this.
It's been a long time. One after another after another.
That's wild. It's getting wild out there in the valley.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Ah. Man, I don't know what the answer is, but
I guess neither do they. Five.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
