Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's camp I am six forty and you're listening to
the Conway Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app. We
all had bad news today that there was a shooting
in Georgia in a school and outside about forty miles
northeast of Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
And so if there's a press conference, you do have
one right now, I'm gonna pull out O c in
CNN all right.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Christian Angelo, who was fourteen, also a student here at
the school. Richard Aspenwall, I'm not sure of his age,
but he was a teacher here at the school.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
And Christina.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Air Marie, I'm sorry for my pronunciation, who is also
a teacher here at the school. We will post a
list of these victims for the correct spellings for everyone
later this Seanon, after we complete the press conference here also.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Has been released.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
The FBI's National Threat Operations Center has received anonymous tips
in the past of online threats to commit school violent
our school shootings at an undetermined location. In time, the
FBI referred this information to the Jackson County Sheriff Office
for action. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office identified and located Gray,

(01:23):
who is our suspect.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
In this case.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
They conducted an investigation at that time and there was
no probable cause for rest Or to take any additional
law enforcement action. This is not recent, this is in
the past, but we wanted to bring that to your
attention because we are pursuing that, working with the FBI
on that in any connection to that incident that could

(01:47):
be connected to today's incident as well. Also, we're also
aware of some previous contacts that the Department of Family
and Children's Services in the area had had with the
suspect in his family, and we are pursuing that avenue
as well too to see if that has any connection
with today's incident. Let me stress again, as we have

(02:11):
many times, that this is still a very fluid investigation.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
It is still very active.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
We will have agents and there will be law enforcement
personnel that will be put pursuing investigative leads and collecting
evidence throughout the night and then too much of tomorrow,
I would anticipate as well. We again ask for your
patients in that this is a criminal investigation and we're
going to treat it like that.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
So I apologize ahead of.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Time if we don't answer some of the questions that
you may ask.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
So please understand.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
I also want to want to bring note to one
very special thing that we do not need to forget
about here is we have heroes in our midst We've
talked about our law enforcement personnel, our fire our ems.
Those that are deceased are heroes and my book, those
that are in the hospital recovering right now are heroes

(03:04):
in my book. But also the heroes that we need
to remember is our faculty and staff here at this school.
They acted admirably, They were heroes, and the actions that
they took, the protocols of this school and this system
activated today, prevented this from being a much larger tragedy
than what we had here today.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
So I want to recognize them as.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
He wrotes because they are, and continue with our thoughts
and prayers, as has been mentioned, for the families that
were lost here today, those that were lost here today,
those that are recovering in the hospital, and obviously those
that were affected directly by this tragedy here at the
school and all of.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
The community of Barrow County. We need to continue to
having them in our thoughts and prayers.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
All right, thank you join another one of these again,
Can you tell us of my chance.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Since he's been charged as an adult.

Speaker 6 (03:52):
Will we be in court tomorrow?

Speaker 5 (03:54):
There will be a first fourty years leave booked.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Tonight that out, he will be booked tonight. I'm not
sure the core appears, but it will be within the
reasonable mouth time.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Is there anything.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Shoes too much?

Speaker 3 (04:05):
As the weapon that was used in this was an
ar platform style weapon.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
So how did mister Rake get the guy.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
On instan We're still investigating that aspect of it.

Speaker 7 (04:15):
Did he go out of the classroom and get the
gun and come back? We've heard some of that from since.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
We're still trying to clarify a lot of the timeline
him from the time that he got here to school
today until this and it took us from me.

Speaker 7 (04:26):
I mean so often, I know, we always hear something
that the FBI has heard something about someone who goes
and does one of these tragic events.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
How can we stop this from happening? Because it feels
like this happens every single time there's a school shooting.

Speaker 8 (04:40):
That we heard that there was.

Speaker 9 (04:41):
A fire threat, or there's a prior knowledge.

Speaker 7 (04:43):
What when minds are at stake, how can we stop
this from happening?

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Well, there's a variety of ways, in my personal opinion,
community involvement, What our school system is doing here to
ensure that whether we'll be able to stop it completely
one day or not, I don't those are decisions that
each individual is making on their own to do this.
But again I go back to what I said earlier

(05:09):
about the heroes here that prevented things from being a
lot worse today.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
But we've got to take action within.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Our own communities, take care of each other, be aware
of our surroundings and what's going on in our community.

Speaker 10 (05:21):
The family the year and they found hunting rifles in
the family, How wasn't an ar platform weapon among those
weapons that were at home during the interview?

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Again, that's part of a lot of the things that
we're trying to clarify within the investment.

Speaker 11 (05:34):
Why don't we pull down real quick because we got
some information. I think we missed the front part of
that where we got some new information that said the
federal that the federal authorities and local officials there said
that the same fourteen year old kid was interviewed last
year when he was thirteen. It was a possible suspect
in connection with threats that were made online. Apparently there
were photos of guns posted online. The FBI said that

(05:58):
last year they interviewed the kid within twenty four hours
when they got the when they got that information, and
they said that the dad was also interviewed and told
investigators that there were hunting guns in the home, but
his son didn't have any unsupervised access to them. This
is all according to the statement from the FEDS and
the local authorities there. And they told the schools, the

(06:18):
local schools to keep monitoring this kid, but there was
no probable cause to arrest him.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Yeah, and because he's a minder, the parents are going
to be charged in this case as well.

Speaker 11 (06:27):
Yeah, especially after considering apparently there was there's a history
there where the dad said he didn't have access to gun.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Yes, let's pull back up here. The sheriff is talking. Also,
Brian Camp, the governor is there as well.

Speaker 12 (06:38):
Well, they were in the hallway while all this chaos
is happening, while shooting was telling on you for story
fell students pulling their classmates into the classrooms to get
them secure, to get them to safety.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
What do you think that says about these these young folks.

Speaker 10 (06:51):
Who are you know, very thirteen, fourteen, fifteen years old
that they're looking.

Speaker 13 (06:55):
Out for one another like that.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
It's admirable, signed Director House.

Speaker 13 (06:59):
He said, have heroes among us, and those students and
teachers that did that today saved a lot of lives.
This could have been a way worse than what we
And again the investigation is still trying to file through
those that information. But those kids are heroes and brave
as well to do that when they hear an active
shooter around them.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Talked about does the sheriff get this one question right here?
That's the governor cam. Did you have someone else famly No,
it was me, okay.

Speaker 12 (07:27):
I was asking why did the school resource officer not
go looking for this kid and approach him, and why
they send a female faculty member to the room, to
the algebra room he was in with my daughter looking
for him instead of the school resource officer, Or why
the school allowed this boy to come and go from

(07:48):
the class all the time, could go and sign up
for the restroom, pass, leave the class and come back
sometimes and sometimes never come back. He has been wandering
the school.

Speaker 13 (07:59):
With all due respect, ma'am, I think your information is
incorrect and our investigation is going to lead to what
we have and we will be glad to answer your questions.
Once that's done, I get to pick up I am.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Possibly.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Can you tell us some now in the SROs you
talk about a lot of heroes.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
You talk about how one of the SROs encounter the shooter.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
What can you tell us about them?

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Who they are, how long they've been working here than
what they did today.

Speaker 13 (08:26):
Both of the SROs that are here at these high schools,
at b all of my high schools, I have two there.
Both of the SROs to include a third one was
here today not for any other reason other than to
help and assist today.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
They're the true heroes as well.

Speaker 13 (08:41):
They were actively looking, they had an alert I guess
if you will, And when they interjected or when this
shooting began, the interacted with the shooter, mister Gray, and
as soon as they made contact with him, he gave
up immediately.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
Did you share these officers' names? Not at this time.
I'd rather not the shooter right now, you said in customer.

Speaker 13 (09:01):
The shooter is in custody the Bar County Detention Center
because he is a juvenile. He's being booked in and
he will be transported to r y DC.

Speaker 8 (09:08):
We're officials, are school administrators tipped off by a threat
year before the shooting appen.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
I'm not aware of that at this time.

Speaker 7 (09:15):
Sheriff or director can say the condition on those injured
that we're taking the hospital, You got any updates on.

Speaker 13 (09:20):
How they're doing. All of our victims that are at
the hospital are are gonna make it and gonna recover
well as we've been told, and we don't expect any
more fatalities at this time.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
That's great.

Speaker 14 (09:32):
Now, question has there been any shooting or tragedy to
this scale inside of.

Speaker 6 (09:38):
Georgia School that he'll aware?

Speaker 10 (09:41):
Did he speak to that people?

Speaker 13 (09:42):
I can't speak to that.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
No, can you put this in respect you for us?

Speaker 2 (09:48):
What did the day of matter?

Speaker 4 (09:49):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (09:49):
So there what we know.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
First of all, that's the sheriff speaking, and he grew
up in that town and he's he's born and raised
in that town that this happened in, and he he
has kids that are in that school system. And when
he first started talking today, he was very emotional about it,
understandably so. So the Krozer was right there. This kid

(10:11):
was the question before. So were the parents of this kid?
And then that happens A lot that happens a lot
happened to Michigan. It happened the last time, I think
it was in Texas. Another time that happened where they questioned,
you know, the suspect, They questioned the parents, and there's
really nothing that they can do. Their hands are sort

(10:33):
of tied. But that's the update for you. Colt Gray
is the kid's name. He is fourteen. Four people were killed.
Brian Kemp there is the governor.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
He's there.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
There's a lot of video coming from in the school
that they're going to be going over the next couple
of days, a couple of weeks. When he was asked
about how we can stop these he he didn't mention
gun control, or he didn't mention a lot of people
in that area own guns. He the only thing he
mentioned was community involvement, and and he left out, you know,
blaming the gun, which is unusual and it's not what

(11:06):
the reporter was looking for. But we will keep on
top of this. But the silver lining, or I guess
the only the bit of great news coming out of
this is the nine people that went to a hospital.
And we don't know how many of your students, how
many were faculty or teachers, They're all going to make it.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
So that is great news.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
The biggest downer and the biggest nightmare is when we
have these press conferences hours after a situation like this
and they say and they say, no, that's not four,
it's nineteen. And you have to, you know, to swallow
that number and stomach that number. And fortunately this is
not going to be the case here. And so we
also heard from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the GBI,

(11:51):
the local version of the FBI there as well. So
any more information we will have that for you tonight.
But a horrible situation coming out of Georgia.

Speaker 5 (11:59):
You're listening to Tim Conway jun you're on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
What are you going?

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Well, you were talking cruises, Yeah, mo Kelly and Tula
out there, and we have a great story in there
about cruise living.

Speaker 10 (12:14):
You know how people paid like one hundred thousand dollars
to go live on Yes, and.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Then it had a lot of issues. Oh it didn't
come together. Yeah, take a listen, all right, Bellio's on
top of it, man. But yeah, I was talking to.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Mo Kelly and Tuala and Tuala went on his first
cruise and he is hooked.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
And that's basically and Mo had it right.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
If the cruise goes as planned, you want to book
your second cruise as you're leaving the first one, and crouch.
You've been on cruises, did that happen to you where
they talk you into booking another one while you're leaving
the ship.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
They didn't talk me into it, but they were definitely trying.
And did you do it? You didn't pull the trigger? Okay,
So cruise living.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
People who cruise become addicted to it so much so
that they can't build.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
These cruise ships fast enough.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Disney, who I think has three or four cruise ships
of their own, has just ordered three more to almost
double their fleet, and you can't book a cruise on
these new ships. When a ship is christen and it
comes out it's going to be a you know available,
that ship is impossible to book for the first year

(13:32):
or two impossible because the people who are you know
who've booked five, six, ten thirty cruises with Princess or Viking,
whatever the line is, Royal Caribbean, they get first DIBs
and they always take it to be a on the
maiden voyage of a cruise ship is something special. I've

(13:54):
never done it, but people have done it. Say it's unbelievable.
You're the first person in that cabin, first person eating
the dining room, first person do this. This is and
Mo mentioned this. I thought, thought this is impossible, and
then I looked it up and he's right. There's an
ice skating rink on that ship. There's ice skating on

(14:15):
board the ship. You can ice skate. So these people
got on the ship thinking they're going to be cruising
around forever.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
And they got there. Ass is handed to him.

Speaker 9 (14:28):
The globe trotting three and a half year dream cruise
still stuck in the harbor. The Villa VI Odyssey now
three months past its original launch date. Whoa three years,
three years and no cruise undergoing maintenance in Northern Ireland
and stranding some passengers there too.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
It's cold, it's windy, it's damp, it usually rains.

Speaker 9 (14:54):
The cruise is advertised to visit four hundred and seventy
five destinations in one hundred and forty seven car wow.
Price to purchase an all inclusive cabin begins at around
one hundred thousand dollars or more.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Wait a minute, one hundred thousand dollars for a three
year cruise. That's cheaper than an apartment.

Speaker 9 (15:10):
Plus a monthly fee for at least fifteen years.

Speaker 15 (15:13):
We intend to stay on for a long haul.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Yeah, people do that, but who knows how we feel
after a year.

Speaker 9 (15:18):
Some passengers sold their homes to live on board.

Speaker 16 (15:22):
Mmm.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
I don't think i'd do that.

Speaker 9 (15:24):
Some passengers sold their homes to live on board.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Yeah, I'd like to talk to those people and see
who their their their financial advisor was.

Speaker 9 (15:34):
Many of them have been in Belfast since May, waiting
to finally set sail.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Oh oh, it says here their financial advisor was Malibu
dan Ah.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
That's kind of crazy.

Speaker 9 (15:44):
They are allowed on the ship during the day, but
they can't stay overnight. The company helping plan trips for
those who want to travel, even booking hotel rooms for
others who have to stay in Belfast.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
Wow.

Speaker 9 (15:56):
Like Holly Hennessy who can't fly around easily because her
cat is with her? Why Holly Henessy, I got that part,
who can't fly around easily?

Speaker 2 (16:08):
I got that part.

Speaker 9 (16:09):
Why because her cat is with her on the cruise ship.
Because her cat is with her? Why cat is with her?

Speaker 2 (16:19):
I got that. I'm just asking why.

Speaker 9 (16:22):
Her cat is with her?

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Why why is she bringing her cat on a cruise?

Speaker 11 (16:28):
Well, you know, she didn't mentioned anything. They didn't mention
anything about any other significant other.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Might be a sing a single last, her cat is roasted.
I've moved five times different accommodations. Is this her the
cat talking?

Speaker 10 (16:47):
I've moved five times, different accommodations.

Speaker 9 (16:50):
The CEO says the ship is thirty years old and
it had been out of commission. It made the trip
to Belfast on its own power, but they then found
a slew of issues.

Speaker 15 (17:00):
Starts took six weeks to get done, and now we're
dealing with a couple other things. But overall, I think
three months is actually not that bad given the circumstances.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
It seems like a lot.

Speaker 5 (17:14):
Though you're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from
KFI AM six.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Forty many of you right now, I would say forty
five thousand of people of you right now are on
your way to Angel Stadium where the Dodgers play the Angels,
and that game gets underway in a few short minutes.
You can listen to it on five seventy a m.

(17:42):
Or you can watch it on TV, or you can
just you know, listen to KFI at home and listen
to they get a score later.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
I just saw a.

Speaker 11 (17:48):
Clip of I guess it was last night's game with
the Angels. Oh, it was great with when they walked
intentionally walked ough Taani. Yeah, and Theokie Bucks. Mookie Bets
came up on the next bet. I think it was
the very fit and knocked.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
It out of like, oh, you know you you you
put a seven hundred million dollar player on base to
get to a three hundred and fifty million dollar player
and they get pissed when you walk a guy in
front of him, and Mookie Betts hit that one well
over the fence, leftfield fence and the Dodgers ended up
winning that game.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
I think it was six to two. Yeah, he's back.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
The Dodgers play the Angels tonight at Angel Stadium, beautiful Stadium.
It's gonna be a little warm, a little warm. And
this is our sports segment that we do every Wednesday
at six thirty five and it's being brought to you
by Advanced Hair one day treatment, life changing results. Make
your appointment today at Advanced haair dot com. The commanders

(18:47):
are in the news. The Washington Commanders for all the
wrong reasons. They got caught one of the I guess
I'm a guy who's one of the vps.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
There you have content? Oh no? Oh like like social media? Yes?

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Oh no, said some disparaging things about the fans and
Roger Goodell and the NFL owners. Oh let's find out
what he did now.

Speaker 17 (19:12):
An intriguing story surrounding the Washington Commanders suspending the vice
president of Content Royal and Teen. He was suspended over
comments he made to an undercover reporter from the O'Keeffe
media group who met on a dating app hinge. They
met twice at a local restaurant, with n teen making
disparaging remarks.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
What is hinge is? What kind of dating app?

Speaker 4 (19:33):
Is that?

Speaker 2 (19:33):
For a singles? Singles?

Speaker 11 (19:36):
Studs't wouldn't most dating apps be for singles?

Speaker 2 (19:40):
You ain't got a point there, Yeah, Kurzier's on top
of it.

Speaker 4 (19:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Is that straight or is it gay? Or I don't know?
Belly and what kind of what is that hinge?

Speaker 4 (19:53):
I believe it's.

Speaker 16 (19:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Let me see. That's not one you're you subscribed to?

Speaker 9 (20:02):
No, not that one?

Speaker 3 (20:03):
Okay, it's not a syphil Less site.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
No, it's not, it's not the what's the one you
like silver singles?

Speaker 2 (20:13):
Yeah? I like silver singles.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
Yeah, you enjoy that. Fellio always like goes along with it.
Then during the commercial race, you say, in the future,
could you not do this or that? Or all right,
let's get back to it. This guy VP of Content
was suspended. Let's find out what he did.

Speaker 17 (20:34):
About Commander players, fans, and his own job.

Speaker 9 (20:37):
Over fifty percent of our roster, right is either.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
White, religious, and God says another.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Big chunk case very low income an American that comes
from a community that is inherently very homophobic. Most of
the fans.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
I would say, are not monitary school educated.

Speaker 11 (21:01):
They're like lower class pea called I hate to use
that term.

Speaker 4 (21:04):
I would just say mouth.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
Breather street Like okay, I don't I understand why the
commanders don't want that out there, but at least this part,
I don't see anything that's that's on.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
It's not true.

Speaker 9 (21:17):
Most of the fans.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
I would say, are I mean high school educated, alcohol
is I think that sums up a lot of the
NFL fans. High school educated.

Speaker 11 (21:28):
Album specifically thank you, Yeah, I like that, very school.

Speaker 10 (21:32):
Educated alcohol is they're like lower class called I.

Speaker 8 (21:36):
Hate to use that term.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
I would just say mouth breathers, street like hypes, leaping
sewage on our fans in the middle of the game,
and I have to put out a social post saying.

Speaker 9 (21:45):
Like it wasn't suage water you promise that.

Speaker 11 (21:48):
Is date on me?

Speaker 1 (21:49):
Okay, all right, but look he's on you know, I
want to cut him a little bit of slack here.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
He's on a date.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
When you when you're on a date, you eight things
that to impress the woman that are not true.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
You hyperboleze a little. Yeah, one hundred percent, one hundred percent.

Speaker 11 (22:06):
He's trying to impress her, that's right, by apparently being awesome.

Speaker 2 (22:10):
Yeah, by being better than the fans.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Yeah yeah, the the high school alcoholic mouth breathers, that's right.

Speaker 17 (22:18):
He also called NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell a fifty.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
Million dollar puppet. Okay, maybe you run into some problems there.

Speaker 17 (22:25):
The commanders have dealt with controversy and scandal over a
decade under previous owner Dan Snyder's sexual misconduct, a toxic
work environment, and financial impropriety, a team spokesman said in
a statement of the language used in the video runs
counter to our values at the commander's organization. We have
suspended the employee pending investigation and will reserve further comment

(22:47):
at this time.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Yeah, he's gone. He knew the rules, he knew the boundaries.

Speaker 9 (22:52):
Mahallo.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
He is not going to be with the team anymore,
all right.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
The heat is a big story here in Los Angeles,
going to be a hundred and nine tomorrow in Sherman Oaks.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
Sherman Oaks.

Speaker 6 (23:04):
If you're in the pool behind me, you're doing just
fine right now.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
If you're not in the pool, it's rather.

Speaker 6 (23:10):
Sticky and uncomfortable out here now. For there's homeless outreach
workers that we met. They told me that the heat
actually makes their job easier. It's September and we're on.

Speaker 8 (23:20):
Day two of likely six straight days of triple digiti
in the San Fernando Valley. For almost outreach worker Laura Harwood,
the high tempts can make her job on the streets
of Sun Valley easier.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Trying to convince thirty Yeah, trying to convince people to
get inside. All right, that's possible, that is possible. And
then we also went through the weather forecast. We had
that for you earlier it's just going to be hotter
than hell. What more can we say? Heat dangers record temperatures,
and you're going to hear you know, you don't hear
about this in the national news much. If you watch

(23:51):
the national news on ABC, CBS, NBC, they don't really
talk about the heat out here because it doesn't affect them.
You know, they think the whole world lives on the
East Coast. But wait until this heat crosses the country.
It crosses Denver, it crosses Saint Louis, and it gets
into the East Coast. That'll happen in the next week
or so when this high pressure rolls over the country

(24:15):
and burns up Washington, New York, you know that, most
of the East Coast, Boston, and then you'll hear about
it the news.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
You'll hear about the news, But right now it's just
sort of a local story.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
It's all of the West coast, though every single state
on the West Coast is burning up.

Speaker 16 (24:32):
You know, we think of.

Speaker 10 (24:32):
Labor Day as the unofficial ends of summer, but that's
not the case here in southern California. Right we've been
actually seen the temperatures rise every day this week, and
they could be hitting as you said, one hundred and
fifteen in some of our inland communities this week. So
what the city of Los Angeles is doing is they
already have some cooling centers. They have libraries, senior centers
that are open for people that don't have air conditioning.

(24:54):
They're going to be opening even more of those centers
over the.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Next few days.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
Yeah, they only have six for the two point eight
million people live in the cityville Los Angeles. There are
six cooling stations.

Speaker 10 (25:05):
Urging people to get inside and get in someplace that's
cool if they need to. They're also going to be
having more teams going out to areas where there are
homeless people to make sure that they are staying hydrated,
staying in the shade as much as possible, because even
though this is southern California, even though we're used to
it being warm, what we're expecting over these next few
days is not the normal. It is going to be
above that and it is going to be dangerous for

(25:26):
some people.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
Yes, that's right. Because the sun, the sun, sun's a loser.

Speaker 10 (25:30):
We have a summer that lasts a little bit longer.
Like we say, you know, September still feels like summer,
even into October, it is going to be warm, but
not this warm. I think that is the problem, is
that the temperatures are going to be higher than what.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
We are used to.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Yes, the temperatures are going to be much higher than
we're used to. I don't remember a time where there's five, six,
seven straight days of one hundred plus temperatures, but that's
what we're looking at. One week of temperatures in the
triple digits. So be careful. I'm not going to go
through the whole run of the hydration and keep your
pets inside and wear night you know, loose clothing, stay

(26:05):
in the shade, you know, drink plenty of water, finding cooling.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Oh I guess I just did.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Anyway, it's going to be hotter than hell, Hotter than hell,
especially tomorrow and Friday one two in Malibu, Malibu, one
hundred and two.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
That is going to be a record. It's got to
be a record.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
We're live on KFI. We'll check out with Mo Kelly
see what's going on his Studley show.

Speaker 5 (26:33):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
We had a press conference about forty five minutes ago
with the shooting in Georgia, and a little more information
came out, a fourteen year old autistic boy named Mason
I did as one of the four killed in the
Georgia High school. A fourteen year old student with autism

(26:59):
was identified by family members as one of the four
victims killed in Wednesday's mass shooting at the Georgia High School.
Mason Desperate relatives had circulated his photo on social media
when they couldn't reach the team after the shooting. A nightmare,
the worst possible nightmare for parents. I They asked people

(27:23):
at the school to please look for him, please identify him.
They put two pictures of him out and he looks
like a great kid. He's One of the pictures is
him standing at the front door looking like he's off
to go into school. Maybe that's the first, you know,
first day of school that he's going to And now
he's not coming home. It's unbelievable. And then they put

(27:45):
out this this tweet. It said, let him know his
mom is looking for him for reassurance. And they looked
for this kid. They looked for this kid. They had everybody,
all his friends looking for him. And then they were
told the ultimately the worst news that he was killed
by Colt Gray, the fourteen year old suspect, allegedly. Another

(28:09):
nine victims, including special education teacher guy named David Phoenix,
were hospitalized with gunshot wounds. And that's about all we know.
The GBI is there, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the
local sheriffs, the local police officers, the campus police, the
FBI is there, and if any more information comes out overnight,

(28:33):
you'll hear about it first here live on KFI with
George nor maybe with Amy King wake up call tomorrow
and of course Bill Handle. So that's a big story.
The heat is another major story here in southern California.
That's gonna be a big story all week long into
the weekend. It's going to be brutal. So get inside,

(28:58):
stay inside. If you have family members who don't have
air conditioning, keep texting them, keep calling them, make sure
they're fine. It's not going to be an easy week
here in southern California. All right, I'm in other news here.
I know this is a big news story for I
think Ronner is a big fan of this. Dancing with

(29:19):
the Stars. He's the only guy I know that watches
this thing. But Dancing with the Stars. They've got their
new stars that are out there dancing around dancing with
the Stars, their new cast. Let's find out what's going
on and how many stars are actually involved this time.

Speaker 16 (29:36):
Dancing with the Stars is full of surprises. After a
gutrunching finale, the gotch therrette is getting on a plane
to join the cast. Why it's Jenren. What a week
for her or him? And let's go for the gold.
I'm going to that dance scar. He mastered the Papa Warson.
Now he's ready to master the dance board. Get ready

(29:57):
for Olympians Sativa Netaraza.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Okay, I like that guy. He's the guy that was
doing the horse.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
I think he won a silver or gold in the
Olympics in Paris.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
So that guy's cool. He'll be dancing with the stars.

Speaker 16 (30:09):
Next star rose to fame in a nineties cold classic.

Speaker 9 (30:14):
Two perfect texts.

Speaker 16 (30:16):
Now she can't wait to give right into the ballroom.

Speaker 9 (30:19):
It's Tory Spelling.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Oh, Toy Spelling is gonna be one of the stars
of Dancing with the Stars.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
All right, I'll look at that. I like that Tory Spelling.

Speaker 16 (30:28):
Toy Spelling, you love this TV dad on Family Matters.
Nothing can circle this guy on the Dance Hour. It's
Reginald Bell Johnson.

Speaker 6 (30:42):
I hold cool.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
Get to rub my dancing.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
He still got it? Still got it?

Speaker 16 (30:50):
He cool?

Speaker 4 (30:51):
Get to rub my dancing.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
All right.

Speaker 16 (30:57):
She's on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swim suited.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Good morning America.

Speaker 16 (31:02):
It's supermodeled, Brooks Vader.

Speaker 15 (31:07):
Just quote.

Speaker 16 (31:07):
Next up, This Academy Award nominee is a total knockout.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
It's going to be a miracle if I win this
mirror ball.

Speaker 11 (31:13):
But I'm going for it.

Speaker 16 (31:15):
Welcome to the dance floor, Eric Roberts. She made international
headlines as a convicted fella. You think you know me,
but she don't. Now she's determined to make the greatest
comeback of all time. The jury rules, it's time for
Anna Delvi to hit the dance floor.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Wait a minute.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
She's still in under house arrest though, isn't she? I
thought she was still in prison.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Actually she is wearing an ankle bracelet. Oh she is.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
So she's still under house arrest or home and confinement
or whatever. Okay, but she's gonna be dancing with the
stars with an ankle monitor.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
Yes, got if we reach the bottom.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
Huh, although, as Neil Sevader always says, bottom of the
barrel is still in the barrel, So what the hell?

Speaker 9 (31:59):
Good Lord America.

Speaker 4 (32:02):
Wake up.

Speaker 16 (32:03):
This next star is a slam dunk.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
You gotta get one up quick.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Howard Hammer's at home.

Speaker 16 (32:09):
Watch Out World for Dwight Howard.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
I'm right, slam dump.

Speaker 16 (32:18):
She plays an Alpa werewolf, so we can't wait to
see her howl on the dance school.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Watch Out for America.

Speaker 9 (32:24):
It's zombie Star.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
Chandler Kinney's Oh god, I don't know any of these people.
I know Tory Spelling and the guy the basketball player.
That's about it.

Speaker 16 (32:35):
This next star left it all out on the rugby field.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
I'm ready for this competition.

Speaker 9 (32:40):
Now.

Speaker 16 (32:40):
This Olympia will give it her all. When she waltzes
into the ballroom, it's in lone more. The temperature is
eating up this heart throb meeting man and handed out
his final rose.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
Now you hope to sell.

Speaker 16 (33:00):
Say his way right to that near vol trophy. It's
the Bachelor's Joey.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
Grass today A right, there you go the lineup for
Dancing with the Stars. Well, Kelly joins us, are you
a fan of dancing with the Stars.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
Absolutely not.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
You know, Angel Martinez not only is a fan, her
mom's a fan, and she takes your mom to go
to the tapings.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
That's Dancing with the Stars. You know, it's not for everyone, dude.
I wonder if they put quotes around stars. It did
have stars once upon a time.

Speaker 14 (33:35):
Now it has people who are in media that's still
the weas in descrition.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Yeah, and people who are under house arrest.

Speaker 4 (33:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
What's on the Big show.

Speaker 14 (33:43):
Night bub Well, we have to talk about this continuing
heat wave that doesn't want to let us go.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
I don't remember.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
I know, I know you and I were you know,
spent a lot of time born and raised out here.
Were you born and.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
Raised out here?

Speaker 2 (33:54):
I think absolutely.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
And I don't remember seeing seven or eight straight days
of triple temperatures.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
I don't remember.

Speaker 14 (34:01):
Yeah, and I feel it more because I'm older, I'm
much more aware of it.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
I'm with you, you know, I don't like extremes in temperature.
I am with you, buddy.

Speaker 14 (34:10):
I like it around seventy two wherever I go, right right,
I'm kind of like picky when it comes to that.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
That's right. I love when you guys were talking about
the cruise.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
With Tawala, And I also love that he was so
excited to be on that ship that he didn't even
see half of it.

Speaker 14 (34:26):
There's so much to see. It's almost like going to
an amusement park. And I think that's an apt comparison,
because you have these attractions and things that you can
do the restaurants, and you find yourself not going everywhere
because you just want to spend your time the place
that you like.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
Right, are there still when you go on a cruise because.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
When I was, you know, nineteen seventy eight, But are not?
All the food is inclusive, right? Except are the most part.

Speaker 14 (34:55):
Like for example, on our ship, there was a Johnny
Rocket stand and if you didn't get to the deluxe
meal package, then you'd have to pay for like some
of the hamburgers someone like two or three dollars, okay,
But other than that, for the most part, yeah, but.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
There aren't like high end steakhouses.

Speaker 14 (35:10):
There are there are, Like if you were to go
to like find the formal dining where you dress up
and that kind of thing, then yeah, you order your
food and you'll pay for that. But by and large,
most of the food is included. I'll say, complimentary, and
you can't bring your own booze on board.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
No, you cannot.

Speaker 14 (35:27):
You cannot bring any food or any beverages on board.
They do allow you one bottle of wine when you
leave your original port in this case, LA, But that's it,
all right?

Speaker 1 (35:38):
And is that the only thing you can't bring or
is there a long list of crap you can't put?

Speaker 2 (35:42):
There's a long list. Oh really, Oh there's a long list.
No weed, No, you can't because it's federally so they
go by federal laws. So you can't bring weed.

Speaker 14 (35:51):
You can't bring any type of CBD, can't bring any
type of those oils or edibles anything like that.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
A right, not legally, I'm quite sure people do on
a able one to ten. Comparing to the other cruises
with that you've been on, what was this like, Well,
this will be a six or seven because it's local.
It's bit did the same cruise last year, but on Carnival.
This was with Royal Caribbean, so we weren't we weren't
reaching new.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Ground or anything. But you go on for the experience.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
But it's fun to walk around and see everything that
ship has to offer. Yes, absolutely, yeah, really, it's cool,
all right, I'll be listening tonight Boe Kelly and his
whole crew next right here on KFI AM six forty
Conway Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app. Now, you
