Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's KMF.
Speaker 2 (00:00):
I Am six forty and you're listening to the Conway
Show on demand on the iHeartRadio Appy.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Six forty Conway Show.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
I'm watching this Mets game, and whoever wins this game
goes on in the playoffs, whoever it loses goes home.
And Milwaukee is just hit a home run in the
seventh inning. So I'm watching and they're showing the highlights
of the home run, and then they keep showing the
highlights of the home run. I'm like, Wow, they're showing
a lot of highlights of one home run.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
It wasn't what it was back to back.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Milwaukee just went back to back home runs in the
bottom of the seventh inning to take a two dozing
lead against your New York Mets. So if you're a
Milwaukee fan, man, that stadium is buzzing. The boys are
buzzing in that Brewers Stadium. That's where David Vassa went
down the slide and broke his wrist and his ribs
(00:53):
got all crazy.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
So it's louder than hell in Milwaukee.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
The Mets have to score at least two runs, well
three runs in the eighth and ninth inning. They have
two innings left to score at least two runs and
then to score one in extra innings or else there
are season's over. And the Mets were very promising towards
the end of the season, and they won a game
(01:21):
in Atlanta to go to the playoffs and they were
on fire.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
That was a big deal.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
So whoever wins this will play the Phillies.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Okay, that's where they're going.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Huh, all right, and the Mets have got a big
problem right now. They've got to score two runs in
the next two innings or their seasons over. Back to
back home runs by your Milwaukee Brewers. What if the
guy went down the slide twice? I think that's the
(01:53):
mascot goes down the slide, And whenever they hit a
home run, what if you had to do it twice?
Speaker 1 (02:00):
I gotta run back up there.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
By then that's stadium's wild, you know, because Milwaukee, you know,
outside of what do they got there? The Bucks and
they don't have a basket. They don't have a football team,
I don't think. Well, I guess Green Bay, but that's
not Milwaukee. So they don't have an NBA. They have
an NBA team, the Bucks, but they don't have a
(02:25):
hockey team, and they don't have a football team unless
they're green I'm sure most of are Green Bay fans.
So this is it. They've got to continue in the playoffs.
Here and the whole the whole city really gets behind
this team. Sold out, everyone's on their feet, screaming. And
these smaller cities really get behind these teams. You know,
in my day, I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and
(02:47):
whenever the Cleveland Browns are in the playoffs, you if
you were on the freeways or on any of the
streets in Cleveland, you never saw anybody. There's like five
am on Christmas morning, everybody watches the games.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
If you're from the West, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
When your team, you know, Saint Louis, Minneapolis, Cleveland, Detroit,
when your team is in the playoffs, everybody's watching. Everybody's
looking at them. Here in LA you know, some people do,
some people don't. Hopefully they do, because Tomorrow day after
Tomorrow is the Dodgers first game they can be playing
the podres at Dodgers Stadium Saturday and Sunday, and the
(03:26):
games I think are at five thirty and five o'clock.
I think five thirty Saturday and five o'clock on Sunday,
and that'd.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Be good, hopefully a great series. Hopefully Dodgers move on.
I hope they do.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
But you know it's gonna happen the first run that
the Padres get, if the Dodgers don't already have one,
it'll be panic city in those stands, those stands, everyone
will be all panicked and all crazy. But hopefully Dodgers
move on. That would be great. Go Dodgers, dig doong
with them. All right, let's talk about sky diving. I
(04:00):
know we have a lot of people listening to KFI
who love sky diving. A team of sixty eight female
skydivers attempting a new world record.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Large team of all women's skydivers suit up in the
Inland Empire today to attempt a new record. Their goal
successive skydiving formations.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
In one long fall to Earth.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
So today through Sunday, sixty eight women's sky divers from
all around the world will gather in Paris to simultaneously
this is the city of Paris here in southern California.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Yeah, we picked that up.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
To simultaneously, this is the city of Paris here in
southern California.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Right, that's the skydiving capital of southern California.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Not Paris, Texas. Perry, did they have an Eiffel Tower
in Paris, California.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
Simultaneously jump from four planes at an altitude of some
eighteen thousand feet. They'll try to set a new record
for the most women's skydivers doing two giant snowflake formations
in one single jump. The women have under sixty seconds
to complete the first formation, release grips, and then build
their second snowflake before breaking away from each other. Excuse
(05:07):
me to safely open their parachutes. If they do succeed,
and if they still have time, they may even try.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
A third snowflake. Whoa snowflakes? No, I guess that's what
they're doing, all right.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Stevie Nicks is in the news with a brand new
album that everyone's gonna enjoy its Christmas.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
They're gonna go with Stevie Nicks. That looks like the
rock and Roll Hall of Famers teaming up with Jason
Kelcey on a new project. Revealing this picture on social
media yesterday Jason's New Heights Instagram account, writing in the
caption the crossover, we didn't know we needed coming soon
to a Christmas album near you. Now, this is a
thing for Jason Kelsey. We know this, Chanelle and you
can tell us more than this.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
It is an annual tradition with.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
His Feltmer Philadelphia team man.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
Till you know.
Speaker 7 (05:47):
At first it was a Philly thing.
Speaker 5 (05:48):
Now people out of the country love it. They do
a holiday album and they can.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Really say, what do they do?
Speaker 8 (05:54):
The country love it.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
They do a holiday album, a Caaharty album. What is
that the album holiday? Oh? Is she saying holiday? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Holiday album?
Speaker 6 (06:04):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (06:04):
I thought you said a Carl Holiday. I think she's
just gonna say Christmas. Oh, I see, yeah, yeah, it's
probably gonna belt Christmas. And then I said, oh, we
can't say Christmas holiday.
Speaker 9 (06:12):
Album and they can really say I have great voices.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
So he's up in the anty this year. Well, we're
looking forward to it. Yeah, it really sell at the
end there, but we're looking forward to Yeah, looking forward
to that. Yeah, but we're looking forward to that.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
I can't wait. Carl Holiday, Carl Holiday. All right, let's
talk about Griffith Park. Made your story coming out of
Griffith Park.
Speaker 10 (06:36):
Here's after the pony rides closed in Griffith Park. A
new survey shows many people want the ponies back.
Speaker 11 (06:41):
I say funded survey, about sixty one percent of people
were in favor of offering pony rides to children again
in that location.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Wow, man, oh man, that's kind of cool, kind of
a throwback nineteen seventy eight crew.
Speaker 11 (06:55):
Many people also expressed their interest in less involved animal
experience instances like animal petting or viewing opportunities. Seventy five
percent voted for an animal rescue, seventy percent were in
favor of a community garden, and sixty nine percent voted
for an indoor outdoor museum or nature center.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
Oh, they didn't put the other one in? Was that
the rest of the story of Bellio?
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Because they had fifty three percent wanted it raised and
then want to put a seven eleven there, and they
didn't put that in.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Oh, I might have accidentally edited out.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Oh you did, Okay, all right, I guess we can't
do that right. People like seven elevens, but they want
a seven eleven place. You can buy snacks at Griffith
Park because when you're in the park you can't buy anything.
You got to bring all your food with you.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
You got to.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Bring all your you know, your barbecue equipment with you. You
got to bring beer. Well, I don't know if you
could drink beer, but you got to bring your SODA's
whatever you're going to consume with you. But there should
be a place. There should be a seven eleven right
in the middle of Griffith Park. How great would that be?
You know, just say screw it. We're a big city.
We like our seven elevens, and put one right in
(08:03):
the middle of the park. Seven eleven bab in the
middle of that park and it would be lines around
the corner, people waiting to get in to get their snacks. Now,
you gotta bring your own snacks with you, and a
lot of people don't like to do that. You know
you want to. You want to be able to go
to a seven eleven and get something cold, be an
ice cream or something.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
But that would be cool. Seven eleven right in the middle.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Maybe a seven eleven and a cash a check cashing place.
A seven eleven a check cashing place, and maybe like
an auto parts store.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Those always go together.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Auto part store and a seven eleven right in the
middle of Griffith Park.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
That would be great. We've got to take a yet,
another break.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
The Dodgers are playing Saturday, but the Milwaukee Brewers are
on the verge of continuing here. They're winning two nothing
in the seventh inning. If the Mets lose, the Mets
go home. If the Buck I mean sorry, the Brewers win,
the Brewer I continue. But if Brewers lose here, they're
(09:03):
going to go home. Whoever lose this game is going
to go home. Right now, it's the bottom of the
seventh inning. There's two men on, two outs for Milwaukee,
and Milwaukee's winning two nothing. Panic time for New Yorkers
right now, they're total in a total panic. Right now,
we're live on KFI AM six forty.
Speaker 12 (09:24):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
KFI AM six forty Conboy Show. We've got the Felicia
fire burning up near Lake Piru in Ventura.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Let's find out what's happening with that sucker.
Speaker 13 (09:40):
But we heard from our meteorologists it's you know, above
ninety degrees there gus ten to twenty miles per hour,
so that's hindering. I'm sure your efforts as well as
as we look at this video, the steep terrain out there.
How are the firefighters getting to handle on this so far?
Speaker 1 (09:55):
Absolutely? You mentioned the steep terrain in the weather.
Speaker 7 (09:57):
Those are two things that our firefighters are currently contending with.
So by working with with our hand crews and in
coordination with our aviation assets, the helicopters you probably hear
behind me, crews have been able to work through the
steep terrain and start to get knocked down on portions
of this fire.
Speaker 13 (10:13):
Do we expect those evacuation orders to expand to other areas?
Speaker 7 (10:16):
As of now, we haven't anticipated expanding those evacuation orders.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
It's up near fillmore in right off of the Santa
Paul River, right between Ventura, like Oxnard and Magic Mountain.
Speaker 7 (10:31):
As of now, we haven't anticipated expanding those evacuation orders.
Speaker 13 (10:35):
Okay, what would on a scale of one to ten,
how concerned are you since you're right there on the
front lines, I'm going to guess zero.
Speaker 7 (10:44):
Well, like we have said, this fire is burning in
steep terrain, in hot conditions. Get the upper hand on
this fire. We've been relying on some of our regional
mutual aid partners, such as CalFire. We're in unified command
with the US Force, so we have a lot of
assets on fire right now, on seams fire right now,
(11:04):
working to gain control of it.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
All right, So a scale of one to ten with
the question Okay, that is good to know. So you're
not out there alone. Of course I consider that a
non response.
Speaker 13 (11:12):
Of course, Ventura County Fire cal Fire us for service
as well fighting from the ground and the air the
Felicia fire in Ventura County near Lake Piru. Andrew Dowd
with the Ventura County Fire Department, we thank you so
much for taking the time out tonight, and good.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Luck out there, bet you bet.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
All right, let's talk about the that looks like the
at least control of that fire for now. Hopefully the
winds don't kick up heat and wind is a disaster
over the next couple of days here in southern California.
See Dodgers going to play the Podrays on Satturday.
Speaker 10 (11:45):
Of course, the Dodgers ended up with the best record
in Major Baseball and they earned a first round buying.
They're using that time to get healthy and stay shock.
Today the first of two or council will do it
again tomorrow and just moments to go big Blue with
an intra squad screw jam. We did learn today something
new to their Dodgers starting rotation. Of course, yesterday the
(12:07):
Dodgers announcing that Jack flaherty would start Game one against
the Padres on Saturday, with rookie Yoshinobo yama Moto getting
the ball.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
In Game two.
Speaker 10 (12:15):
But today the Rodgers brass deciding to go with a
Beast of the Pacific and Yamamoto to start on Saturday,
pushing back Jack Flaherty.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Okay, so if Yamamoto is starting Game one, he'll probably
game play or pitching game five if they need him.
That's a new twist in the Dodger lineup to Game two.
Speaker 10 (12:35):
The Padres roughing up yama Moto for five runs in
his major league debut in South Korea, then later in
the season San Diego getting three runs off him, the
Dodgers losing both those games. In fact, San Diego winning
the season series against the Dodgers eight games to five.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Oh no, good, Dodger fans. Don't panic. Don't panic.
Speaker 14 (12:57):
It's felt like it's been on a clision course for that,
you know, the third time in five years. They're good team,
and you know, it felt like we were on this
collision course and it will be really good baseball.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
I mean to me, it's just it is what it is,
whatever falls out of great way to take a stand,
I mean to.
Speaker 15 (13:19):
Me, it's just it is what it is, whatever falls
out of the seedings and how it works. I mean,
I think it speaks to what a competitive division we have.
They're not always the same teams, but there's always been
a team or two who has had really good seasons
and cliche fest you know, for us, it just however,
the however it plays out, it plays out.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
That's great. Guy said, nothing.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Whatever it is, it is, whatever plays out, it plays out,
whatever will be will be.
Speaker 4 (13:47):
Play.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
We play good offense, takes care of a good defense.
That's so great. Just nothing but cliches. That's awesome, man.
All right, first game Saturday, Yamamoto's pitching for your Los
Angeles Dodgers. And then on Sunday Jack flerning so ding
(14:10):
dog with these Dodgers. That's gonna be a great series.
I hope, right, you hope it is.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
All right.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
Staying with sports, the Los Angeles Rams will be playing
the Packer.
Speaker 10 (14:20):
Two and three sounds a lot better than one and four.
That's where the LA Rams face this weekend as they
host the Packers at Sofi Stadium. After a disappointing loss
to the Bears in Chicago last week, the Rams failed
to one in three. They're in desperate need of a
win heading into their bye week, and offensive coordinator Mike
Lafleur faces his older brother Matt's Packers, and the younger
(14:43):
sibling needs to find a way to get the Rams
six points once they get into the red zone. Just
one for four in the red zone against the Bears,
eight for eighteen the past four games.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
If the Rams lose to the Packers, it's over quickly.
It's over by week five. I can't imagine. I don't
know how many teams have gone to the playoffs, and
I don't know how many teams have won the Super Bowl.
If they're starting one in four, my guess zero zero.
(15:14):
There's never been a team at one in four to
win the Super Bowl. I've not looked that up. That's
just my guess, and my guess zero none. So if
the Rams lose to the Packers, it's time to start
looking at the Dodge. I mean the Yeah, the Dodgers,
the Kings, and the Lakers, because it's not gonna be happening.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
Chargers don't look like they're doing that much either.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
Yeah, the Charges start off so promising, though, you know,
they were kicking ass and they could they should have
and could have beat Kansas City.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
And now we're looking at both teams. Might be in
the hard balls, gonna need one more year to pull
that thing together.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
Yeah, maybe that's possible. That's possible. All right, So we're
in the eighth inning.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
The New York Mets did not score in the eighth,
so it's two nothing Miallwaukee. The Mets have one more
at bat in the ninth inning, and if they don't score,
they go down, they go home. Right now, the Mets zero,
Milwaukee Brewers two in the bottom of the eighth with
no outs, Milwaukee at bat, no good. If you're a
(16:15):
Mets fan, you're panicking. You're already worried.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
We're live on KFI AM six forty.
Speaker 12 (16:22):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
KFI Am six forty, It's Convoy Show.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
The Mets are gonna have to score two runs in
the top of the ninth or they're going back to
New York. They're in Milwaukee, right now the series is
tied one to one. It's in the top of the
ninth Mets are at bat. They're losing two nothing, no outs,
and if they don't win this game, it's over. Bill maher,
(16:56):
I don't think he still owns the team, but he's
one of the partial owners the New York Mets.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
I think he bought in a while ago.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
He bought in like twenty ten, eleven twelve, something like that,
And I remember the deal was he had like a
he had a group and they bought four percent of
the Mets. And then when Steve Cohen bought the team,
he bought everybody out. And I heard a number that
they tripled their investment. So I think they bought in
(17:27):
between fifteen and twenty million or so and then cashed
out for forty five to sixty million.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Steve Cohen has bought the team from the Wilpin family
for two point four billion.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Wow. Does the say anybody think of them?
Speaker 3 (17:39):
About Bill Marbinga says he invested in a minority stake
in the New York Mets in twenty twelve, okay, and
since tripled that value it has tripled. Yeah, so he
bought him fro fifteen to twenty million. Most people saying,
like round eighteen to twenty and cashed out for sixty
there's a good investment for you buying any sports team nowadays.
(18:01):
Oh yeah, gold, Yeah, it's sprinting money.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
And so Bill Maher who has a very popular podcast,
very popular TV show, and has more money in his pocket.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Now, thank god they got Bill Maher made more money.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Well, he was struggling pretty much.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Well, that's right, that's exactly right.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
All right, let's talk about Ticketmaster, Southern California.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Ticketmaster.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
The customers are reporting, I don't know, some problems it's
going on with Ticketmaster.
Speaker 6 (18:34):
Back in March, Brianna Hannon and her friend bought tickets
to see Corn play this coming Saturday at BMO Stadium
in Los Angeles.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
But it's music.
Speaker 6 (18:46):
She's wondering whether she'll be hearing at all.
Speaker 8 (18:48):
I received an email saying that our tickets have been
transferred to somebody.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
Oh no, that we don't know. Oh no, this is man.
I wish we went back to paper tickets.
Speaker 8 (19:00):
You booked the flights, hotels, rental cars, all that stuff.
Speaker 6 (19:04):
She says she's reached out to Ticketmaster and hasn't heard back.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
The concert is sold out.
Speaker 8 (19:10):
I believe the only way we can purchase tickets is
if we buy resale tickets, which we could buy are
exact seats back.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Oh they have to buy their exact seats back at
higher price.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Oh that's horrible.
Speaker 8 (19:23):
Because the person who took our tickets is now selling them.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Well, let's find out who that is and put that
guy behind bars.
Speaker 16 (19:30):
But she's not the only one, and it was really
hard to get these tickets.
Speaker 6 (19:33):
Jaden Chang from Orange County bought tickets to a different
concert in November and the same things happened to her.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Wait a minute, so the original group that woman she
said she had a group of friends there if they
bought tickets to fly in, get a hotel, rent a
card to see Corn. Really, yeah, that's a group you
fly in for. Don't you wait, don't you wait for
them to come to you.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
There are Corns, one of those bands that got pretty
strong followers.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Yeah right, but don't they travel all over the place.
Well that's also San Diego. Yeah, that's true, and get away.
Speaker 16 (20:06):
For us to not only see that these tickets that
retail at over one thousand dollars are out of our pockets,
like they're gone. They're not with us anymore. But there
just seems to be nothing that we can do besides
sit here and like hope that Ticketmaster is able to resolve.
Speaker 6 (20:18):
That Ticketmaster was the victim of a massive data breach
a few months ago.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
Could this be related to it.
Speaker 8 (20:24):
I think a lot of people's passwords and credit card
information were leaked, and that's what caused this to happen.
Speaker 6 (20:31):
Now. Hannon says that within a couple of hours of
her reaching out to the meet.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
See, that's why we need paper tickets. Got to go
back to paper tickets. Every time I'm with that virtual ticket,
I always feel like I'm going to be stopped at
the door, Like now, all these tickets are no good.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
They've been used already, you'r sol.
Speaker 6 (20:48):
She all of a sudden got a notification on her
phone that the tickets had been transferred back to her.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
Ah, all right, dig dog with this lady.
Speaker 6 (20:56):
But there's been no explanation from Ticketmaster, and she can
only wonder what's going to happen this weekend when she
tries to go to the concert.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
See that's what's uneasy about it. You know, when you
have the ticket in your hand, you know, you're going
to get in, you have the ticket, but when.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
It's on a virtual ticket, you never know. You never
know if you're gonna be stopped at the door and
they're gonna say no dice and scan those tickets at
the entrance.
Speaker 6 (21:20):
We've reached out to ticket Master and are still awaiting
a response.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
Keep waiting, keep waiting.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
All right, if you're driving around the San Fernando Valley,
chances are your license plate is being recorded.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
It's a new way to fight crime.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Now.
Speaker 11 (21:34):
Dozens of cameras will be placed throughout the San Fernando
Valley to have catch thieves.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Yeah, those cameras have actually led to arrest of murder
suspects in other areas.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Let's go to Kickout inreport a car finshop.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
She's living for a ranch with what this means for
a driver car.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
A lot of people are not happy about this as well.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
But who's not happy about it? Guys committing crimes.
Speaker 9 (21:52):
Yeah, some people are nervous about these cameras. The big
hope here is to track criminals, and the cameras can
be attached to police cars, or to polls, or to
traffic lights like these one hundred are going to be
placed around the northwest San Fernando Valley.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Hundred cameras taking their pictures of your license plate every
time you drive around the valley.
Speaker 9 (22:11):
Take a look the Beverly Hills PD other departments are already.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
Using and the ACL.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
You tried to fight it, but they lost because your
license plate is public information. It's in the public. They're
not going into your wallet, they're not going into your bedroom.
They're taking a picture of something that's already in the public.
Speaker 9 (22:28):
Automated license plate readers or al prs, they say, the
cameras let them track record the plates and vehicles that
drive through the system, then uses optical character recognition to
compare the plates with hot lists of vehicles of interest.
Investigators say the data store can also help connect serial crimes.
But the councilman representing this area is also reassuring locals
(22:49):
there's one thing the cameras won't do.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Okay, they're not going to issue tickets, and they're not
going to be kept in a database of it.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
That's what they're going to lay on us.
Speaker 17 (22:57):
I'd like to struss that these are not cameras.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Okay, there's one not traffic cameras, and it won't be
held in a database more than what thirty days.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
They're not going to be used to ticket drivers, and.
Speaker 17 (23:09):
Will be used specifically to help our law enforcement partners
conduct their investigations more efficiently.
Speaker 9 (23:16):
The technology is similar to what you see at some
shopping centers where the gates lift up once you pay.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
For your parking.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
God, I can't believe this. I make the same mistake
every day. I go into that snack drawer. Yes, I
get these goldfish.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
Oh, and they're.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
So good going down, But man, doa they ball up
in your stomach and you feel like you just want
to pass out.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Oh my god, just hit your herd. I don't know
if I'm to make it catches up couick.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Yeah, I got to call my wife, say, hey, open
that door, leave the door open, and open that bathroom door.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
I'm coming in hot.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
God, give me a straight path.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
Make sure eat the dogs and so out of my way.
They're not They're not gonna make it.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
No, hell no, how is your day? So lucky girl?
Speaker 2 (24:10):
We're making an emergency lend just in case, open the window.
Maybe you're like, image, are we eating dinner right? Yeah,
we're eating dinner right now. I shut that radio off
all right, the Mets have two on, one out, they're
losing two nothing. This an exciting game, and we'll come back.
(24:30):
I will tell you the final score if this ends
right here.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
Oh are you kidding me? Oh my god. The Mets
just hit a home run, a three run home run.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
The Mets just did a three run home run in
the ninth inning to go.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Ahead three to two.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Who, oh my god? Can you imagine how crazy New
York City is right now? The Mets were down to
their last two hours and the guy just hits a
three run home run to quiet that stadium. Wow, what
a clutch hit.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
What's that? Alfonso?
Speaker 2 (25:12):
Who did that? Alonzo? It's a kids, guy's name of kids?
Read it man. A three run home run by the
New York Mets to go ahead three to two in
the top of the ninth And now Milwaukee's got to
score in the bottom line, Alonso did it. Milwaukee's got
to score in the bottom of the ninth to stay alive.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
What an exciting game.
Speaker 14 (25:36):
Man.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
The Mets have had an unbelievable postseason, or or at
least the doubleheader with the Atlanta and now this game. Wow, Oh,
New York City is going crazy right now absolutely crazy.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
All right, very excited. We're live on KFIM six forty.
Speaker 12 (25:52):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on de Mayo from
kfi AM six forty, six forty.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
It's Conway Show.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
The New York Mets were down two to nothing in
the ninth inning and if they lose, they go home.
They are two manne top of the ninth I think
it's a Alonzo Alonso comes up. It's a home run,
opposite field home run, and the Mets go up three
(26:21):
to two. Now there's two outs. Mets are still a
bat three to two Mets, top of the ninth inning,
two outs, and Milwaukee has to come back in the
bottom of the ninth score a run to tie a
score two to win it unless the Mets score again.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
Here but man, the Mets were down to two outs.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
They had no runs in this game, none, and now
they're going to score another run. So the Mets have
four runs, Milwaukee two, four to two New York Mets. Man,
oh man, what a turnaround, what a postseason for this
team to go into Atlanta and beat Atlanta in the
(27:03):
first game of the doubleheader. And somebody said, oh, Tim,
that's not the postseason. It is in my game. In
my mind, it is because the season was over and
then they went to Atlanta to play two games. I
know there's a regular season games, but is the postseason?
All the other teams are in postseason play. It's postseason.
And the Mets were down to two outs and they've
(27:27):
scored four runs the ninth to go ahead.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
What a team.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
But I just heard that Neil Savedra is going to
be a Poquito Moss and Encino.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
When is his remote? Is it Saturday? I think it's
I think it's Saturday. He's going to be there.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
Poquito Moss is where if you know Encino pretty well,
it's where Numero Uno used to be. And I believe
numar Uno Numero Uno has moved on or there's a
lot of people in n Sino used to call it
Numro dose. You get it, Numero does whatever. I think
(28:11):
you have to speak Spanish to get that that. That's
a that's a joke. For the Spanish speaking audience, Numero dose,
they get it.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
You are you people who was speaking English.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
You may not get it, but guys who speak Spanish
are on the floor right now dying.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
They can't believe it. Numeron. Oh yeah, Numero dos Ah.
They're going crazy. So that's gonna be on Saturday.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
It's right near haven Hurst and Ventura, a block west
of haven Hurst, on the north side of Ventura Boulevard,
right there where Numero Uno used to be. Neil Sevidro
will get that joke because he speaks Spanish.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
I think Numero Uno should have been renamed Numero dos whatever.
All right, let's just.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
Get somebody here that does calls horse races. Then, all right,
let's talk about food labels. People love food labels to one.
On the food labels a lot of clarifying the cell
and best before dates. I'm a freak for the cell
before dates. I look at everything I buy whether it's
still fresher Now.
Speaker 18 (29:22):
The state of California wants to help end the everyday
household debate over whether the food and the refrigerator.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
Are still good to yeah.
Speaker 18 (29:28):
A new law signed by Governor Newsom standardizes confusing expiration
labels on food that includes sell, buy, best before, or
use or freeze by. Right now, there are more than
fifty different labels on food items. The new law will
narrow it down to two. Best if used by will
be used for quality and used by will be used
(29:50):
for safety. It will take effect in July twenty twenty six.
It aims to reduce waste and emissions.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
That's fantastic.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
I look at the used by and best buy, sell by,
consume by.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
I look at all those buys. I am by.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
Wait, sorry that came out from I'm a bye guy.
I look at the labels. How about that. I look
at the labels, and I'm a freak for the sell
by used by and I never ever cheat those. If
it says, you know, used by October first, that it's
October second, it goes in the trash. It goes in
(30:30):
the trash. I'm not taking a chance. I don't take
chances like that. All right, let's talk about the shoe.
Heo Tani his baseball, his fiftieth home run. There's some
controversy on who owns that ball.
Speaker 17 (30:44):
A second lawsuit emerges over the possession of Dodger Superstar
Show Heyotani's fiftieth home run ball. The historic home run
ball is currently up for auction with a bid of
nearly one point five million bucks. Plaintiff Josin Devitov claims
that he had control of the ball before an unknown
fan attacked him, causing it to roll into Chris Bolanski's hands.
(31:05):
The ball, potentially the second most expensive home run ball ever,
cannot be sold before in October tenth hearing the beat
off is seeking damages in excess of fifty thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Wow fighting over the ball shoe Aotani's ball? Who owns it?
Who can sell it? Who is going to get the money.
Briar's ice Cream big fan of Briars. I love Briar's
ice cream.
Speaker 15 (31:31):
Man.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
Growing up, my grandparents always had Briars and it wasn't
a round half gallon or gallon. It was a square one.
You remember those, the square one? Those are always easy
to eat. The square packaging of Briars ice cream.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
What's going on with Briar for one of.
Speaker 19 (31:49):
Its ice cream flavors? And it could actually benefit you.
This all has to do with the brand's natural vanilla
ice cream.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
According to the lawsuit, it ain't natural. Is that possible?
Speaker 19 (31:59):
The name implies the ice cream's flavor comes from a
vanilla plant, but that's not actually the case.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Oh no, oh no.
Speaker 19 (32:06):
April of twenty sixteen. In August of this year, you
might be eligible for a cash payment.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
Oh god, who has the receipts for an ice cream?
They bought forty years ago?
Speaker 19 (32:16):
April of twenty sixteen and April.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Of twenty sixteen, So eight years ago, you got that receipt.
You got that Briar's receipt on you bro huh huh
bub you.
Speaker 19 (32:25):
Got it August of this year. You might be eligible
for a cash payment. Just fill out a claim form online.
The court also ruled that Briars must develop a new
vanilla formula from a natural source within a year.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
Oh god, and people are crazy, right. If it's good,
eat it, if it's not, take it back or throw
it away.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
But who's what the lawsuits?
Speaker 6 (32:48):
It.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Truly is amazing.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
How much free time people have to get all crazy,
all right, watching the Mets. The Brewers are up now,
and the Brewers have to score at least two runs
in the bottom of the ninth ending to stay alive,
and they already have a man on with no outs.
So it's exciting this time of year. You know, it's
not cool outside, we're going still going through the heat wave.
(33:10):
But man, when there's when there's playoff baseball on TV,
that's a great time of year, you've got your potentially
you're gonna have all four sports. In the next month,
you're gonna have, you know, continue with baseball up the
World Series. Basketball will start, Hockey will start, and football
is in you know, in the beginning stage of the
(33:30):
first month or so, so all four sports. A month
of October is awesome for sports. It really is great.
All four major sports are rolling here in the United States.
And to watch this Brewers game, and to watch this
the audience go up and down, up and down with
the with this with this game is great again. Uh,
Moe Kelly is up next. But the we'll leave you
(33:52):
at the Mets four Milwaukee two in the bottom of
the ninth with no outs and a man on first
for mill Waukee. Can they come back and beat these Mets?
Who knows, well know shortly though the next half hours.
