just outside of Tehran.

That's a big story. So indeed, and there.

Speaker 3 (00:32):

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Roosevelt versus Garfield High schools one of the most intense
rivalries in the region, some say west of the Mississippi.
It dates back to nineteen twenty five. My grandpa was
a class of nineteen forty two or forty three from
one of those schools. Not telling which. We're not picking sides,
but we know how big this game is. Tonight at
seven thirty, the rough Riders and Bulldogs, we'll duke it

(01:52):
out for that coveted trophy and year long bragging rights.
Fans are fired up and boy Ella pride has felt strong.

Speaker 5 (01:59):
Today.

Speaker 6 (02:00):
You'll be competing with another big game that's happening Friday.
I think the Dodgers are going to be proving a
point against New York and we'll be rooting for the
boys in Blue.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
But Friday we'll be.

Speaker 6 (02:14):
Rooting for Los Angeles that you'll bring notoriety to your schools.
Regardless of the final tally.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
You are the best of the best. That's right, that's
the that's Alberta Cobayah. Is that right, LAUSD. How about
this woman here when she.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
Says nineteen forty two or forty three from one of
those schools?

Speaker 7 (02:33):
Nuts?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Right? She said her dad it dates.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Back to nineteen twenty five. My grandpa was classic nineteen
forty two or forty three from one of those schools.
Not telling which we're not picking sides.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Oh come on, Oh my goodness, you can't tell us
where your grandfather went to school because you might offend somebody.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
You know, I think I think that's more offensive. Yes, yes,
very much so. You're insulting our intelligence.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
You're insulting your grandpa too. Yes, you know I want
you to say already, that's right. You got to pick
a side. Oh God, a mighty maker of heaven and earth.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
All it's seen and unseen, All right, Dodger game is
about to start. We will keep an eye on that.
An LA deputy hurt in a four car crash. We
got that news as well. We'll give you details on that,
plus Iran Israel bombing, Iran meeting some resistance that's gonna
be a big story as well. So we've got everything

(03:28):
everything going on here in Los Angeles.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
We have you covered all right.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Crypto Arena is you know that's going to be that's
the home of the Lakers and the Kings, and they're
celebrating twenty five years offering tours twenty five years. Well
it was Staples before and now it's Crypto. But I
remember when that stadium opened it was beautiful and Crypto.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Dot Com Arena, the home of the Lakers and the Kings,
is celebrating its twenty fifth year anniversary and they finished
phase three of a multi million dollar renovation.

Speaker 8 (03:59):
Yes, and also for the first time, they're offering you
a chance take an insider VIP tour. You should go
take out and you should do a car Finch hom
Live with the Arena to give you a preview car.
There's a lot of exciting new features for fans there are.

Speaker 9 (04:11):
And you know, we're starting this morning with a very
personal tour for me.

Speaker 10 (04:14):
Daniel Snyder is with me and we're.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Starting at one of the really exclusive bars here.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Yes, and we're going to show you if, first of all,
Crypto dot Com Arena is celebrating our twenty fifth anniversary.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Can you believe it?

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah, twenty five years ago, I was there on opening
night for the LA Kings. Now we're broadcasting live with
the FM talk station, and I got there early, and
I got there like three hours before the game, like
an idiot. And I was sitting in the stands and
there was a guy sitting there alone, and so I

(04:48):
walked down. I thought he was an usher, just sitting
there loan, and I wanted to ask him a million
questions about the arena. So I went down and I
sat a row in front of him, and I turned round.
I said, Hey, do you work here? And then I
recognized it wasn't just an usher. It was Dave Taylor.
Dave Taylor with the Los Angeles Kings got there early too,

(05:08):
and he was just sitting there taking it all in.
And I talked with him for about an hour and
peppered him with a million questions. He was part of
the Triple Crown line with Charlie Simmer and Marcel dim
and it was one of the cool coolest moments of
my life to sit there with a guy that I
grew up watching play hockey since I was a child,
and I got to sit in the arena with him,

(05:30):
with nobody else there for an hour, peppering him with questions.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
I don't know if he had a great memory of it,
but I did. I did.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
We're looking at traffic right now, the one ten North
going into Dodger Stadium, still packed. Angel Martinez, any relief
at all around the stadium.

Speaker 9 (05:49):
Well, yeah, it's looking it is looking a little, you know,
less dense around the stadium. But I'm going to get
too excited about that because as soon as that kind
of mellows out and seven o'clock, I think it's seven,
maybe seven thirty, you've got the Lakers over at Crypto
and then eight o'clock USC Rutgers at the Coliseum.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Man, I don't know who is in charge of scheduling.
Somebody goofed, somebody goofed. All right here, it is the
first pitch of the World Series, and it's on the
World Series is officially underway in Los Angeles. Oh, that
was the second pitch officially underway. Jack Flerty, who is

(06:31):
also from Los Angeles, I think it's also from Burbank,
flirty and so he's pitching for the Dodgers, and we'll
have scores for you all night long. In case you're
in your car and you can't find the game on
your car, that's possible, or it doesn't come in maybe
you're too far from the station, that's also possible. We
will have it on Kfi one out. I'm not gonna

(06:54):
do all the entire game, but.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
The first one. It's hard not to watch this gang.
I had to do the first one.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Yeah, big Dodger fan from first pitch perts out from
birth going down. And then somebody pointed out that I
screwed up on the World Series. I said, this is
the first World Series since nineteen eighty eight, and they're like, hey, idiot,
In like twenty seventeen and twenty nineteen, they played the
Houston Astros and the Red Sox. So I'm like, oh, yeah,
I forgot about these. They don't and two reasons I
forgot about them. One is in two thousand and five,

(07:25):
when my daughter was born, the Dodgers took a back
seat to raising my daughter, so I didn't really fall
I spent a lot of time with her and really
didn't go to a lot of games and keep up
on the Dodgers. And that was also the Jamie McCourt years.
That was not thrilling here in Los Angeles. So I
wasn't a huge fan of the Dodgers. But now that
my daughter is nineteen, I'm back.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
I'm back, baby.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
And the second reason why I may have forgotten the
Astros and the Red Sox is because both of those
teams were accused of cheating.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
How about that?

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Yeah, the Houston Astros and the Boston Red Sox, both
of them accused of cheating.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
So maybe I've just blocked it all right.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Dodgers and Dodgers and Yankees underway at Dodgers Stadium.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
What a night. The next game is tomorrow. I won't
be there.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
I'll be at Marongo with a bunch of people from
KFI and a bunch of listeners. We'll to see you
at from six to eight o'clock tomorrow night at the
Big Marongo Party. So we got Dodgers tonight, Dodgers tomorrow night,
Marongo Tomorrow night, big deal, Big La Energy weekend this
weekend here in southern California.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
And I'm glad you're too.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
You've tuned into KFI because we're gonna cover all of
it for you.

Speaker 11 (08:33):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
KFI AM sixty Conway Show. Dodgers had a major error
in the first inning. Fortunately it didn't cost them any runs.
So at the end of the first half of the
top half of the first inning, zero zero Yankees Dodgers,
or should say Yankee zero Dodgers coming to bed us.

(09:00):
The United States familiar familiar says it's not participating in
the Israeli strikes against the Iran Do you believe that, I
don't know, maybe not. The United States is not participating
in Israeli's military military operation against Aram. According to a
senior Administration official, I said that moments ago, quote, we

(09:21):
understand that Israel is conducting targeted strikes against military targets
in Iram as an exercise of self defense and in
response to Iran's ballistic missile attack against Israel on October first.
We refer you to the Israeli government for more information
on their operation. According to Sean Saved from the White

(09:42):
House National Security Council, Israel did give the White House
a heads up in advance of the strikes. According to
one source familiar with the notification, President Biden is currently
in Wilmington, Delaware, and his advisors are currently not planning
to convene in the situation room. These really defense forces
announcing moves on x fortally known as Twitter, described as

(10:05):
the action as a precise strike on military targets only
in Iran. And so that's going on right now. It
may be over by now, but the strikes will don't
have we don't have pictures yet, Crozy.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
You've seen any video come out of there, young no Iran?
That's odd.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Usually the video comes up pretty quickly. Well, yeah, but
still they got the Internet, I think.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Man, that's questionable.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
So, and they're not exactly gonna, you know, broadcast what's
happening to them, right.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
The United States says they're not involved. You believe that,
I don't know. I'm think i'mna have the way on it.
I think it's probably fifty to fifty when they say
something like that.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
So you're like me, yeah, but I don't surprised either way.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
I suppose I'm the only thing that it leads me
to believe that they might be involved is how quickly
they deny they're.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Involved, know.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
I mean, if you were working in the government, first
thing they say is it's not ready, not us.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Don't look at me, Yeah, don't look here. They did it.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
Nope, nope over there, over there the israelis.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Not us, them, not us place. We didn't do anything.
But I would imagine the United States. I'm I'm gonna
I'm gonna take that back. I'm gonna say one hundred
percent they were involved. Were Yeah, because either they gave
is Israel detailed classified I don't know maps or information

(11:31):
or satellite images because I don't think Israel has the
satellites that we have. I think, uh, you know, we
probably have more, and we're keep an eye on everybody
in the world. And I bet we shared some intel
with them, So on that level, I think we're involved.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Also, if they're refueling, I.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Think the United States is sort of the king of
the aerial refuelers.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
You know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
And and what happens if let's say the United States
does refuel these, uh, these Israeli jets. Is do they
pay them like Apple pay right there? And how does
that work?

Speaker 2 (12:04):
You know? Is there a credit card that's you know,
I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
I have no idea, but right now there are Israeli
planes and or missiles that have launched from Israel and
have hit Iran, and I wonder Krozier if they did
it to coincide with the World Series or if that's
just sort of a coincidence. You know that everyone's keep
an eye in the World Series while it's reels attacking

(12:31):
Iran on the side.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
I don't know, I don't know, not sure. All right,
we're gonna keep an eye on that.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
And also the Dodgers are at bat in the bottom
of the first inning. So all those stories we all
happen for you are old. Mark Thompson is the voice
of the World Series tonight, so kind of yeah, it
was a cool gig, kind of a cool deal. He's
a big deal of everything he's done. Because he said,
of all the stuff I've done, man, you know, American

(12:56):
Idol and everything, I've never done a World Series.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
And I said to him last week, I said, Mark,
didn't you do when when good animals go bad? And
he said, Tim, And so I thought that was you.
He said, no, I did when good animals go bad?

Speaker 7 (13:11):
One?

Speaker 2 (13:12):
When good Animals Go bad? Two?

Speaker 1 (13:14):
When good Animals go back three, and I said, Mark, please,
when good animals go back four, when good Animals go bad? Five,
and and good animals go bad six. I did all
of them. I'm like, okay, I'm sorry. I didn't know
that when good Animals go bad. Here's Earl Mark Thompson
doing the World Series Still to come on.

Speaker 5 (13:33):
The Fox World Series pregame show Now Dodger Superstars show,
Hey o'tana, He sits down for an exclusive conversation with
Kevin Burkhard's Aaron. Just finally, in the Fall Classic, we
revealed the secrets. Here's power in this world series, the
Shudo it.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Was God so High, It's you Shudgy.

Speaker 5 (13:53):
In Glass, Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman shines the
spotlight on one of baseball's most historic rights.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
Plus plus Ernie Anderson plus then but all the plus
plus the man.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
Who inspired millions with Fernando Media, You'll look back on
a legendary dodge that left us way too soon.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
That's great man.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
I mean he if he put the plus in there,
if that was script or because he should have said.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Then yeah, But I think then sounds too much like
Ernie Anderson.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Then you know, so there's enough of an homage without
being Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
I think you have to have your own word there,
because then do it in the style not the word. Yeah,
that is too much like Ernie Anderson.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Yeah, then should I would? I guess that's why I
got the gig.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
I think Ernie Anderson created that word. I don't think
that word existed before Ernie Anderson then and all the
mcguiver then love Bud. I can't believe this. Freddie Freeman
just hit a triple. This guy runs slower than I
do and he just hit a trip. How is that
possible against the Yankees? How is that possible? Breaking the

(15:06):
damn got al mighty. That guy's got an ankle that's
all twisted up like a pretzel. Look at that right
down the left field line. Oh, I see it hits
off the tooke a bad turn. Yeah, and but man,
Freddy Freeman can barely run. Oh my god, every leg

(15:27):
pump and then he slides on that ankle. Oh god,
that guy's what a What a stud that guy is,
you know, to go through all the personal problems he
did this year with his kid and then to have
his ankle all banged up in the playoffs and then
playing almost every game. Man, that guy's special. That Freddy
Freeman doesn't get enough attention. You know, show Atani and

(15:49):
Mookie Beds and Kershaw and all the big Dodgers. But
that Freddy Freeman man, that guy's something Mouse Man something Mouse.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Did you see his dance moves?

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Yeah, you know that that dance move is based on him.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
You know the movie.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
You know they do that dance whenever they hit a
double or more, you know, their hands go up. That's
based on him. Max Munsey. When the Dodgers were in
Texas last year. Max Munsey has a house in Texas,
so on an off day, he invited everybody over and
they're videotaping, you know, some of the guys, they're talking
to their wives and they they caught in the background,

(16:26):
they caught Freddie Freeman dancing. And that's how he dances,
like you know, that crazy with the hands up and
shaking his hips. That's how he dances. And so they're
making fun of him. Whenever they do that dance, they're
making fun of Freddy Freeman. Maybe people don't know that,
but I doubt think door All right, Angel, what are
we looking at?

Speaker 7 (16:44):
Real?

Speaker 2 (16:44):
Quickly? Around the stadium. Any good news, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 9 (16:48):
Around the stadium, things are looking a lot better. We're
getting in like on Sunset boulevards moving nicely, Stadium waves
looking pretty good. The one ten is starting to become
busy again as people pile in for the Lakers and
USC coming up. We're seeing delays northbound getting away from
the four oh five all the way to stadium way,
and what.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
About the two concerts and the east where the East
LA football game.

Speaker 9 (17:10):
So I was just looking at that four oh five
and checking it out out of Irvine northbound slowing down
all the way from the one thirty three that's over
by the spectrum, and then that drive remains slow all
the way up to Rosecrans. For anybody making their way
to SOFI or into it Dome, it's going to take
you about an hour and twenty minutes out of Orange County.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Oo too long, too long plus plus plus Bush you
threw up.

Speaker 11 (17:39):
Plus you're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from
KFI AM sixty, KFI.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
AM six forty. It's Conway Show.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Still a little bit of traffic getting into Dodgers Stadium.
People arriving late. Eelja Delgia, Telgia is going to be heavy,
heavy traffic. And listen to me, maybe May tomorrow you
will leave earlier for the game. Get there early, enjoy
yourself and get yourself a nice hot dog, a couple
of beers if you drink and you don't drive. And

(18:12):
the Yankees and Dodgers will be playing game two tomorrow.
But it is looking like okay, that guy got it.
So it is after an inning and a half zero
zero zero zero bus all right. We have some information
coming out of Israel. I'm sorry, out of a ram
and there was some strikes on Iran from Israel. CNN

(18:36):
has a report, ABC has a report. We'll have both
of those for you because a lot of people have
an interest in what's going on in that part of
the world. So we'll talk about the World Series. We
also got to keep you up on international events, especially
in the Middle East. It seems a fairly important part
of the world.

Speaker 9 (18:56):
Timmy, yes, ma'am. Can I cut in with a little
bit of traffic. It's pretty major in cast Stake. It's
a brush fire and all lanes are blocked on the five.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Freeway north on the south on.

Speaker 9 (19:10):
The southbound side currently, so that's southbound just before Lake
Hughes Road. They've got all lanes off limits and it's
due to this brush fire delays right now just smearred
away from Templan Highway.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
So it's getting pretty bad.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Isn't that the same area where they had a fire
a couple of years ago and the freeway was closed
for like two months?

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Remember that?

Speaker 7 (19:31):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (19:31):
Yeah, I remember that because there was some kind of
damage done to the road or the some overpass.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Yeah, the pylons keeping that road up. The northbound five
is closed for I think it was six weeks or so.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
I'm looking at it right now.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
Let's turn on bell if you can turn on channel two.
Flip on channel two real quick or I'm sorry, k
cow channel nin. I don't know if it's channel nine
or two. I can't tell. Maybe it's channel two. I
think it's channel two, Channel two two two. But there
is a fire, yes, brush fire and right off cast Eay,
and it is a brush fire, and it looks like

(20:06):
the southbound it looks like the traffic is now flowing,
but they do have helicopters out there.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
Flip on the audio there.

Speaker 12 (20:13):
We're just bumped down lanes to the five of but
southbound is totally shut down right here. At last official
check it was about five acres. It looks like it's
maybe closer to twenty at this point. So I'm zooming
in here on Templan Highway and you can see this
is where CCHP is now forcing everyone off of the freeway,
and this is going to be an absolute traffic nightmare.
Worst kind of place for something like this could happen,
because there's really not a very good alternate to get

(20:35):
through here. There is Ridge Route Road, but I'm not
sure that that's open right now. In fact, that's almost
certainly in fact, yeah, okay, here's Ridge Rout Road right here.
If that's not closed, it's going to have to be
soon because the fire, as you can see, is burning
towards Ridge Route roads, so people definitely need to stay
off of that. And if it's not closed, I'm sure
CCHP will be shutting this down soon. The Angelus Forest

(20:58):
Fire Service, they're the ones who are fighting with a
big assist from La County Fire. Here comes a County
ship right now with a water dropping helicopter. You can
see they are really going to fight this one very hard,
so very thick brush we have wins, unfortunately in the
fire's favor. Right now, the good news no homes threaten.
There's no homes really in this area, and if they
can get a handle on this one, there shouldn't be
any homes threatened at any point. Burning about four miles

(21:21):
away from Lake Castak right now. So we'll see how
this impacts the five southbound closed northbound open for the
time being. We will definitely be keeping our eyes on
this one. Pat and Chaunce effecting on the studio.

Speaker 13 (21:32):
All right, appreciate that reporting from you, Desmond, and certainly
we'll be getting back to you so we can inform
our viewers or at least folks can maybe tell their
loved ones or friends if they happen to take this
freeway home to take an alternate route. We do see,
you think, are they getting ready to make a drop here?

Speaker 4 (21:49):
Dan, there we go.

Speaker 12 (21:51):
Yep, yeah, we got to. So they have several water
dropping helicopters on this one. You know, they really don't
mess around with these fires, especially one like this where
you know they can connect it outs pretty quickly on
what kind of fire is likely to take off in
which one might not be a big deal, and when
you have wins this kind of brush. Obviously, we have
the uphill slopes as well. All of that works in
the fire's favor. I just kind of want to zoom

(22:13):
in though. You know, I said no homes worth threat,
but check this out. This is off of Ridge Route Road.
So I got to take that back because this home
right now, I would have to imagine that there's going
to be some authorities going to warn these people get
ready to leave because if they can't get this fire
knocked down. Let's put up the measuring tool right now
and show you we're talking cloud. It's hard to draw
a straight line there, Okay, not even a mile about

(22:34):
a half a mile away, and it is kind of
burning in that direction. So we're definitely going to be
keeping an eye on that home there off of Ridge
Rout Road.

Speaker 13 (22:41):
Pat Chauncey, all right, thanks so much, Desmond. I'm sure
they can smell that smoke being less than a mile away.
We'll get back to Desmond.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
Card that's the five southbound completely closed right near Lake
cast Steak.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
That is a nightmare. There's no way around that.

Speaker 9 (22:57):
Well, there is, but it's kind of going. It will
take you out of your way quite a bit. But
if anybody coming in from Bakersfield, a lot of truck
drivers use this route all the time. South five, you
can take the one thirty eight east, then you can
drop down along the fourteen to reconnect with the five
in New Home.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
Good work around, Thank you, Angel, you got it, Angel
Martinez man all over southern California, traffic five southbound is closed.
All right, we'll come back. We'll have an update on
the Dodgers. We'll have an update on what's going on
in Iran. And we have two updates for you, one
from CNN and one from ABC.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
We'll play both those for you. We'll come back and
we'll keep you updated.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
We're live and a very very busy afternoon and evening
in southern California. We've got the Dodgers in the World Series.
We got the five shut down at Lake Casteak because
of a fire. We've got a Laker game going on
in about an hour and a half. Then you have
the big football game, the East LA rivalry East West

(24:00):
at Selfi Stadium. Two concerts plus USC and Rutgers. Unbelievable
action in La. We'll all get through it, but you
gotta listen to KFI for updates all night long.

Speaker 11 (24:11):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six FORTYFI AMI.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
It is The Conway Show, Dodgers, Yankees zero zero after
two innings.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Keep you updated on that.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
We have the five Freeway closed completely right near Lake
cast Steak over a forest fire fire there that looks
like they got a pretty good handle on. They've already
got three or four helicopters on it, so I imagine
that'll be wiped out within the hour and they'll open
that freeway up pretty quickly. But if you're stuck there
right now, there's thousands of cars and trucks just sitting

(24:48):
there waiting. You know, they're coming into LA for the weekend,
maybe coming home for the weekend. Perhaps you're coming to
see the Dodgers or I don't know, Rutgers USC and
you left two and you got caught in that traffic.
That's gonna be tough. But hopefully they open it within
the next hour. That's my prediction. My tutor opinion is

(25:09):
that suckers open within the next hour, maybe even less.
All right, let's go to international. Internationally, we have some
action going on in Iran. Israel has bombed Iran and
some military strategic either sites or bases in Iran. So

(25:29):
let's find out what is going on over there first.
A comment from the IDF, the Israeli Defense for it, Like.

Speaker 14 (25:35):
Every other sovereign country in the world, the State of
Israel has the right and the duty to respond. Our
defensive and offensive capabilities are fully mobilized. We will do
whatever necessary to defend the State of Visul and the
people of Israel in response two months of continuous attacks

(25:56):
from the regime in Iran against the State of Israel.
Right now, the Israel Defense Forces is conducting precise strikes
on military targets in Iran. The regime in Iran and
its proxies in the region have been relentlessly attacking Israel
since October seventh on seven fronts, including direct attacks from

(26:17):
Iranian soil. Like every other sovereign country in the world,
the State of Israel has the right and the duty
to respond. Our defensive and offensive capabilities are fully mobilized.
We will do whatever necessary.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
All right, that's from the IDF, and now from CNN,
who I believe they have a reporter on the ground
in Iran.

Speaker 15 (26:39):
We are just learning of several explosions in Tehran, according
to Iranian state media. Of course, Iran has been bracing
now for about a month for retaliate tory strike from Israel,
after Iran launched a brage of missiles at Israel earlier
this month.

Speaker 7 (26:55):
Well, we initially got these reports and explosions in the
Iranian capital of Tehran, and now my call Marquart has
indeed confirmed, according to an official familiar with the matter,
that Israel has indeed begun their retaliatory strikes on Iran.
This is, of course, in retaliation for that barrage of
ballistic missiles that Aroan fired at Israel some two hundred
ballistic missiles at the beginning of the month of October,

(27:19):
and now some three and a half weeks later, it
appears that Israel's retaliation is indeed now underway, with multiple
explosions reported in the Iranian capital, according to Iran's semi
official Farce news agency. Now there's a lot that we
still don't know at this stage, even as we are
starting to get dramatic images of plumes of smoke emerging

(27:42):
from Tehran. We don't yet know exactly what the targets
were of this Iranian strike, but make no mistake already.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Just the fact that.

Speaker 7 (27:50):
These explosions were reported in the Iranian capital. This is
an indication that Israel is carrying out a more severe
retaliation than the one it did for Iran's innate attack
against Israel back in April, when it targeted the city
of Isfahan some air defense batteries there. This is now
in the heart of the Iranian capital. The question is
what were the targets. Were they simply military targets or

(28:13):
was there something else here? That had been one of
the major points of discussion between Israel and the United States.
But we can now confirm that those retaliatory strikes by Israel.
Haven't you begun now in Iran?

Speaker 1 (28:25):
All right, well you have another update from CBS. I'm sorry, ABC,
Let's find out out they have more information was going
on currently in Iran.

Speaker 10 (28:34):
The IDF the Israeli Defense Forces have now put out
a statement saying, in response to months of continuous attacks
from the regime in Iran against the State of Israel,
right now, the Israeli Defense Forces are conducting precise strikes
on military targets in Iran.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
Now, I think saying.

Speaker 10 (28:52):
They are military targets is exactly what the United States
wanted them to leave this too. They did not want
them to attacked nuclear forces, the nuclear sites. Rather, they
did not want them to attack oil infrastructure. And it
looks like Israel got the message on that. We don't
know how extensive the bombing is, but they do say

(29:14):
they were precise strikes. Again, there are some explosions reported
in Tehran, but those clearly could be military strikes as well.
The IDEF goes on to say, the regime in Iran
and its proxies in the region have been relentlessly attacking
Israel since October seventh on seven fronts, including direct attacks
from Irani and soil. As you mentioned, Phil, just about

(29:37):
three weeks ago, Iran fired that barrage of missiles toward Israel.
That was a night where their defense systems did very
well but did not stop them all. And in fact,
one of those missiles landed very near one of the
Israeli spy facilities. And Israel goes on to say, like
every other sovereign country in the world, the State of

(29:58):
Israel has the right and duty to respond. Our defensive
and offensive capabilities are fully mobilized. So I think this
could go on for several hours, but again they have
said quite clearly they are making precision strikes against military targets.
There are, of course, numerous military targets throughout Iran. A

(30:19):
US official I spoke to earlier this evening said, if
they go big, and at the time the official was
not sure exactly how big this would be, it will
be harder for Iran not to strike back. And that's
what the US is watching very carefully. The US is
not involved in this action in any way, but of
course if Iran strikes back, the US will help defendive Israel.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
Yeah, the denial there the US is not involved, that
sounds like being involved.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
I don't know, the US is not involved.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
It sounds like too much denial going on, you know,
the quick statement the United States not involved, and then
ABC US.

Speaker 10 (31:00):
Is not involved.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
Yeah, I don't know. It's like almost like a child
saying I.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Didn't have a I didn't have a cookie, I didn't
take that last piece of cake.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Yeah you did. I don't know. It seems odd. All right,
We're gonna keep covering that.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
It's currently four twenty two in Iran for twenty two
a m so a lot of people in Iran waking
up to this news, maybe waking up because of the
bombing that's going on over there. And we'll see if
Iran turns around and retaliates against Israel. Wild part of

(31:33):
the world. And Israel is a fairly small country. I
think Sam Bernardino County is larger than Israel. I think
in square miles, I think San Bernardino County is maybe
even two or three times larger than Israel. Very small
country and a lot going on over there, man, just

(31:56):
a lot, all right. Keeping on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
There's no score. I think we're in the third inning,
and so we'll keep you updated all night long. Yeah,
bottom of the third inning. Dodgers up at bat and
it's zero zero.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
So a great game.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Hopefully you made it in time, Hopefully left early today,
got down there early, got yourself a couple of drinks,
a couple of you know, hot dogs, bag of peanuts, whatever,
and enjoying this game. This is just one event going
on tonight in Los Angeles. Five other major events going on.
The USC is about to pack the coliseum. They're going

(32:32):
to be playing Rutgers, So maybe you're on your way
to that game right now. I think that game starts
in about two hours. Then you have the Lakers that
will start. I believe it's seven o'clock, so a little over.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
An hour from now.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
And then you've got a big high school football game
at Sofi Stadium, a concert at the into A Dome,
and a concert at the Kia four So lots going on,
lots going on. And then tomorrow night there's two big
events Los Angeles tomorrow, well one in two in southern California.
What them is the Yankees Dodgers Game two of the

(33:06):
World Series. That'll be tomorrow night at Dodger Stadium. And
the other big event going on tomorrow Marongo, the big
party at Morongo. That's right, Crozier, that's right. Are you
what time you planning on heading out?

Speaker 3 (33:21):
I'm gonna head out a little bit earlier. We got
to hit the shops a little early down there.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
Okay, let's doo. I'm gonna I think I'm leaving the
house at around twelve thirty and hopefully be I don't know,
four drinks in at a slot machine by two thirty.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
Oh, that sounds so good. It's gonna be great.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
And my my wife and daughter are going because you know,
I didn't know this. Oh really, at Morongo you can
gamble at eighteen you can't. I think that's true. I
think that's true. Is that true, Bella?

Speaker 4 (33:51):
It is true because people I went to college with
would take trips to Morongo.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Before they were twenty one for the sole purpose of
gambling eighteen and over. Is that right? My grandpa goes
with my cousin. Oh that's great. I'm gonna gamble with
my daughter for the first time legally. We've been doing
it illegally for a long time.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
I remember when she was I think she was two
or three, and I put her up at a slot
machine at a Indian casino in Central California, just snapped
a picture of her real quick, and then tons of
controversy with management, with security, with my wife. Everybody jumped
on my jumped down my throat on that one. But

(34:30):
guess who still has the picture of me and my
two year old daughter sitting at a slot machine?

Speaker 3 (34:35):
Me?

Speaker 2 (34:35):
I do.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
And so it was worth it. It wasn't worth the
two and a half hours of trying to explain it
away before they called the real cops, you know, because
there's a real penalty for that. You know, if you're
sixteen or seventeen, you get caught gambling, like in Vegas,
they can take your license away from you until you're
twenty one. I mean there's a big, serious, you know,
penalty for doing that.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
So if you were twenty and ten months, would they
still take it just away till twenty I think so?

Speaker 5 (35:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
What if you're twenty one on Sunday? Would they just
take it away for a day? Maybe? But it's Marongo.
The big party is two tomorrow night at Marongo. Hopefully
got tickets, check your email to see if you're on
the list, and it's gonna be six to eight pm
tomorrow night at Moronco.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
We are live. Keep an eye on all the big stories.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
The Five Freeways closed up a case a Casteak five southbound,
I should say.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
Then you've got what's going on in Iran, the bombing
in Iran.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
From Israel military targets and that's the first word coming
out of there. And then of course the Dodgers playing
the World Series at Dodgers Stadium against the Yankees and
it's all tied in the bottom of the third inning,
zero zero.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
We're live on KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
Conway Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app. Now, you
can always hear us live on KFI Am six forty
four to seven pm Monday through Friday, and anytime on
