I Am six forty and you're listening to the Conway
Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app. We will be

Mission Viejo area two three zero two three zero two two,
Alicia Parkway. We'll see you there at Wendy's. It's benefiting
benefiting Catarina's Club. You can buy yourself a coupon book

(01:58):
there and enjoy some Wendys. Ah, you're gonna enjoy it.
Belly Oh, I can't wait to get that chili and
me man baked potato chili. Who All right, let's get
an update on the four or five. Here there's a
police officer down in an accident of some sort and
they're opening up the lanes now. But it's been closed

(02:19):
for a little while, almost an hour. This accident happened
fifty seven minutes ago on the four or five northbound
at Skirball.

Speaker 7 (02:26):
Now we're dealing with a major bottleneck here on the
northbound side of the four or five freeway. You could
see the motorcycle that that LAPD officer was riding on
now being moved over to the carpool lane, apparently colliding
with that blue tesla right there on the right hand
side of your screen. We've got some video that we
shot just a few minutes ago as that officer was
receiving urgent medical attention in the middle of the freeway.

(02:48):
We tracked that officer all the way over to Ronald
Reagan the UCLA Medical Center, where he is now hospitalized.
You can see now as we come back out live,
the traffic here is really really slowing down. I mean
came to a halt with the entire freeway shut down
for several minutes. Now, as I mentioned, they have reopened
the right three lanes, but the bottleneck is for real.

Speaker 8 (03:07):
Take a look at this.

Speaker 7 (03:08):
It's going all the way back through West La bumper
to bumper traffic past the ten Freeway, all the way
towards the ninety freeway, at least as you make your
way north found on the four O five traffic on
the southbound side is pretty backed up as well once
you get south of Santa Monica Boulevard. Just a terrible
commute on the four H five. This evening, reporting live

(03:28):
from Air seven. I'm Chris Christie, ABC seven.

Speaker 6 (03:31):
Chris Christie up there with Channel seven and Kruzier. You're
a news guy, you're a news junkie, all right, explain
to me. And they all do it. It's not Alanna
Brino or Chris Christie or I don't know if Tim
Lynn did it or not. But whenever there's a car accident,

(03:54):
they never mentioned that it's a Pontiac or a Ford
or a Cadillac. But if it's a Tesla, they always
mentioned that. Why do you think that is? It's odd.

Speaker 9 (04:07):
That's a really good question. It's odd, like you need
to know this, you have some vital piece of information
that you need to have, But only if it's a.

Speaker 6 (04:15):
Tesla, right, But I think there I don't know if
there's a negative connotation with you know, people drive teslas
or not.

Speaker 8 (04:23):
What's the point of pointing out that it's a Tesla, right.

Speaker 6 (04:26):
Yeah, Like at the beginning of the report here, and
again I'm not pointing out, it's singling out.

Speaker 8 (04:31):
They all do it.

Speaker 7 (04:31):
We're dealing with a major bottleneck here on the north
bound side of the four or five freeway. You could
see the motorcycle that that LAPD officer was riding on
now being moved over to the carpool land apparently colliding
with that blue Tesla right.

Speaker 8 (04:43):
There, blue tesla right there? What do you think it is? Okay?

Speaker 6 (04:48):
And the Angel we're taking numbers here, number thirteen thirteen.

Speaker 9 (04:57):
I mean that so I have I think it's because
it's such a distinguishable car for them to point out,
it's easy for them to get.

Speaker 8 (05:05):
That's what I was going to say.

Speaker 10 (05:06):
Really, Ryan Michael O'Brien makes the same he makes the
same comments, and he has said that it's because more
Tesselas are crashing than other cars.

Speaker 8 (05:18):
Really, is that right?

Speaker 11 (05:20):
Yes?

Speaker 12 (05:20):
Is that right?

Speaker 8 (05:22):
Is that Mike with us?

Speaker 12 (05:24):
I think so?

Speaker 11 (05:25):
Mike just oversee can you hear me?

Speaker 13 (05:28):
Yeah? Okay, yeah, so yeah, we're down the tesla thing.
I've been talking about that a long time. They'd come
up very high.

Speaker 8 (05:36):
Sorry, you just get fucking.

Speaker 11 (05:38):
Up, especially, no doubt on the West side.

Speaker 13 (05:48):
We've got a lot more Teslas than I do in
Sam Bernardino. Okay, but I gotta tell you percentage wise,
because I don't think there are no more. They're not
more than five percent of the cars. But they seem
to come up. You know, some days I look and
there's out of five, six ten logs before three or
four will be tesselass So there they break down. And

(06:11):
I think some people rely on some kind of automatic pilot,
and I think that's part of the problem.

Speaker 8 (06:17):
So they're they're distracted drivers a lot.

Speaker 13 (06:19):
Yeah, and it could be just the damn attitude of
the people driving those cars.

Speaker 6 (06:23):
No, but you remember, remember the old, the old joke
about what's the difference between a porcupine and a Porsche?

Speaker 11 (06:32):
What's that?

Speaker 8 (06:33):
I can't use the I can.

Speaker 6 (06:35):
I can guide you through the joke in a in
a sort of a real warm fashion. I can't hit
you with the with the hard one here. But because
the outside of a of a porcupine is prickly, prickly,
So the prickly part of the porcupines on the outside
it gets you, okay, where the other it's inside. You've

(07:00):
still my thoughts. Yeah, you put my thoughts into Layman's terms. Now,
anybody on the road could understand what I was trying
to say, exactly, can't miss are you up over this accident?

Speaker 11 (07:10):
Over it?

Speaker 13 (07:10):
And it is pretty status quot Now they're you know,
the officers out of here. They are down to only
the three right are available, So it's carpool and left
their block.

Speaker 11 (07:21):
It's gotta be a little bit for an investigation.

Speaker 13 (07:23):
And of course they got to toe that they bike
out of there, but at least three lanes are getting
through and bumper to bumper back. Like we've been saying
back to about the ninety those canyon roads are you know,
all a mess?

Speaker 11 (07:37):
Yeah, all, Benedict, any of them.

Speaker 13 (07:40):
I would probably avoid it now, especially it's on the
clearing side of things here.

Speaker 6 (07:46):
Okay, So and it goes back Angel said, and we
trust her, you know sometimes, but it goes all the
way back to Marina del Rain.

Speaker 11 (07:54):
Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, from the ninety Yeah, man miles.
Oh that's how long is that taken?

Speaker 10 (08:02):
Oh it's over an hour, about an hour and fifteen
minutes to.

Speaker 6 (08:06):
Roll for twelve miles. Yeah, you can ride a bike
in an hour and twelve minutes. That's right, all right,
thank you, Michael, Brian peg Gong with that guy there,
he goes flying man, he got here. They got there
quickly because he was over at Orange County.

Speaker 8 (08:21):
You have to do.

Speaker 10 (08:22):
Yeah, he was in Anaheim Hills. Yeah, got his way
out to Morongo.

Speaker 9 (08:27):
To his point. A survey came out earlier this year
that was done over the course of a year by
lending Tree that says Tesla drivers had the highest accident
rate compared with all brands that were analyzed.

Speaker 8 (08:38):
Is that right?

Speaker 9 (08:39):
Twenty three point five to four out of every one
thousand drivers were What do you think.

Speaker 8 (08:46):
That's attributed to the torque of that car? We're saying
it could be. Yeah, it does take off. I guess
we weren't able.

Speaker 9 (08:52):
To, you know, absolutely nail down. Why but the speed
of them, the higher accident rate.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
Yeah, yeah, from what Mark Thompson has told me, I've
never been I've sat in one, but I've never driven
one that you hit that accelerator and it's like being
on a ride.

Speaker 5 (09:06):
It not.

Speaker 8 (09:07):
It's very farm.

Speaker 9 (09:07):
Yeah, it's a freeway and you see a guy Monny
or something like that, and they got that space and
they hit it.

Speaker 8 (09:12):
It's flast, it moves well.

Speaker 10 (09:14):
I think a lot of people put a way too
much trust in the autopilot features.

Speaker 8 (09:21):
Yes, I think you're right.

Speaker 10 (09:22):
Yeah, you know that that are supposed to detect anything
around you or.

Speaker 6 (09:26):
Put you in the But that blue one on the
freeway that hit that cop or the cop hit that car,
that's a high end Tesla. That's like one hundred and
eighty thousand dollars. That's that's one of the high end teslas.
So I'd be surprised if that guy was in autopilot
and just got the squirrely. But this this is going
to be if you take a look at I don't
know what we're on Channel seven now, channel two, four

(09:48):
or five, they all have it. But if you take
a look at the at the bat at the traffic,
that's exactly the way it's gonna look. You get a
preview of what's gonna look like on Wednesday. On Wednesday starting,
you know, by the time the sun goes down, the
four or five north bound and southbound will be one
hundred percent jammed with cars, one hundred percent jam. And

Speaker 6 (13:45):
I'm six forty Thanksgiving, so it is one week from today.
Seems like yesterday was April. It's one week from today Thanksgiving.
A week from today'll be sitting around the fireplace watching
their grandparents pass out fall asleep because they can't handle

(14:07):
trip to fame. Plus they hate the family and their
bodies are on fire and they just want to.

Speaker 8 (14:15):
Get the hell out of them.

Speaker 6 (14:16):
That's my experience with grandparents at Thanksgiving. They've seen it
all there. They can't wait to get home to their
own toilet, and that's their life. Sorry, not the rock
well Christmas you're whole thinking of, But it's the truth.

Speaker 8 (14:38):
I remember saying to my grandfather.

Speaker 6 (14:43):
I was probably, I don't know, fourteen or fifteen, and
I had a really horrible stomach when I was fifteen,
at nervous kid, really nervous most of the time, and
I had diverticulitis. Diver Ticulitis is sort of like, well,
maybe well, we'll ask doctor ray what the actual ailment involves.
But what my thinking was, diverticulitis is little pockets in

(15:08):
your stomach. They get infected and it's reserved mainly for
guys and gals who are sixty plus. I had it
at fourteen, so pretty proud of that, Pretty proud of that.
And so I had a pretty nervous, crazy stomach, and
I told my grandfather. He said, hey, let's go to

(15:29):
this restaurant in the valley. And I said, I'm not
a big fan of that restaurant. And then he said,
how about this one, and he mentioned another one. I said,
oh no, I always get a really bad stomach.

Speaker 8 (15:43):
And I got to.

Speaker 6 (15:46):
Hit the can when I go to that restaurant. And
my grandfather goes, get in the car, we're going. Because
when you get that age, man, that's all you think about,
getting home to your own bathroom. And you know you've
seen it all, You've seen the grandkids, you've seen.

Speaker 8 (16:03):
The kids, you've heard all the stories.

Speaker 6 (16:06):
You want to get home, crank up the tvg account,
I have a couple of cocktails and be within walking
distance of your own bathroom. That is what retirement homes
are all about. Good food for decent food and your
own private bathroom.

Speaker 8 (16:23):
You made it.

Speaker 6 (16:24):
If you have that in life, you made it all right?
They four or five north bound? Angel, what's the update?
Are Have they opened all lanes yet?

Speaker 5 (16:33):
So?

Speaker 10 (16:34):
Last check when Mike was overhead, he said that they
had just reopened another lane.

Speaker 12 (16:39):
So I believe that made it three lanes open, maybe four.

Speaker 10 (16:43):
If we have Mike, he'll know for sure. And it's
still at least the carpool and left that are off
limit's possibly the two left.

Speaker 12 (16:52):
But traffic is.

Speaker 10 (16:52):
Starting to flow, and it's even slightly improved. You know,
the delays. It's still a mess, but now we're just
backing up almost to the normal backup from about Culver
Boulevard out of Culver City, and it's it'll take about
an hour to make your way from that point out
of Culver City to Scroball Center.

Speaker 6 (17:14):
Shouldn't take an hour, No, it shouldn't ten minutes. That's
a ten minute ride when there's no traffic. Okay, Angel,
thank you very much. I've been covering this thing all day,
making earning her share today, earning her money today. Angel Martinez, everybody.

Speaker 12 (17:32):
Oh, thank you. You can keep going.

Speaker 6 (17:34):
It sounds like one guy clapping, doesn't it? Yeah, I
think to talk with you. We're gonna be tomorrow and
down in Orange County Mission via Ho Style at Wendy's
two three zero two two Alisha Parkway two three zero
to two Alicia Parkway at olympiad there enjoying Wendy's. You

(17:55):
can come down and donate to Katerina's club if you like.
We'll be down there coming. Let me see if everybody's going.
Bellio's going, crows you going, yep, all right, Crowser is
going to be there. Angel will be there. Steph Foosh are.

Speaker 8 (18:08):
You coming down? I'm not thank you? All right? Steph
Fush is not coming down. He's he's gonna be up here.

Speaker 6 (18:17):
I promised to bring him home Wendy's though, because he
asked me like nine hundred times.

Speaker 8 (18:22):
Oh yeah, yeah, oh.

Speaker 9 (18:23):
He got He decided he would give up on Sharon
because he's been bugging Sharon for that.

Speaker 13 (18:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (18:27):
Well he's he wants to spread out, you know, more
tentacles to get food.

Speaker 8 (18:32):
So you might have multiple people bring him.

Speaker 6 (18:34):
Well, because I'm coming back to Burbank after the program
so I can drop it off. It's not going to
be hot and it's not. You know, it's going to
be at least an hour and a half. Old cares. Yeah,
he probably doesn't care.

Speaker 8 (18:47):
Uh, he's like me.

Speaker 6 (18:49):
Volume volume, Yeah, quantity over qualities, right, volumes a volume
guy like me. I'm same guy, same guy. We're like
twinsvolume twins. It's needing to be near the turlet, all right,
so we'll be down there at four to seven pm.
I think Ed Gargo's is going to be down there, right,
I know the guy runs Wendy's.

Speaker 8 (19:11):
Guy owns all the wendy No, yeah, he's coming down.
I like that guy.

Speaker 6 (19:14):
That guy's cool, right, Chicago guy, isn't he? Isn't he
Chicago guy?

Speaker 8 (19:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (19:19):
Yeah, I bet he doesn't drive a Tesla. He doesn't
seem like a Tesla guy. I bet he drives a
What do you think, Ed Garrigos, the guy runs all
those Wendy's. I bet he drives an American made SUV,
that's my guess.

Speaker 10 (19:37):
Yeah, that sounds about right, That's what I would imagine
him rolling at.

Speaker 8 (19:40):
Yes, that's right. You know what else? Run drives a
American made suv?

Speaker 13 (19:45):
Me?

Speaker 6 (19:46):
Oh wow, I bought after eighteen years of owning the
same car, I went out and bought myself another car.
You know, everyone's wrong. I treat myself every eighteen years.
This is my last car, by the way, this is it.

Speaker 12 (20:01):
I love your new car.

Speaker 6 (20:03):
Oh, thank you. I appreciate that. Well, you know, I
wish you loved it.

Speaker 11 (20:06):
It.

Speaker 6 (20:07):
I wish you were at the racetrack. I was at
the racetrack about two weeks ago Sunday. Two weeks ago Sunday,
and a buddy of mine. I said, hey, how are
you getting home? He lives some way out in I
don't know, like Riverside or something. And he said, oh,
I'm taking the train. I said, oh okay. I said, hey,
you get into the train station and it's a mile

(20:28):
and a half, two miles. He goes, oh, i'll walk,
I'm walking. I go get in the car.

Speaker 8 (20:31):
I'll take it.

Speaker 6 (20:33):
And so he gets in my car and he's like, wow,
this car is so much smaller than your old one.
I said, yeah, it's a little a little smaller. And
he says, it just looks so feminine. Is this your
wife's car?

Speaker 11 (20:45):
So rude?

Speaker 8 (20:49):
I'm throwing a frosty at that one tomorrow.

Speaker 12 (20:52):
Yeah, yeah, for sure, I'll help.

Speaker 6 (20:55):
Yeah, she's gonna be buried in these frosties. Yeah, yeah,
she's gonna be really sick of Carmel assaulted Carmel by
about seven third tomorrow night.

Speaker 12 (21:03):
I love those.

Speaker 8 (21:04):
Yeah, he won't.

Speaker 6 (21:05):
Tomorrow after you get eight thrown at you. So he
insults my car. He says it's too it's small, and
is this your wife's car? And I said, and I said,
I said get out, and he said what I said,
get out? I said, I offered your ride. You insult
the car twice. Get out And he said, I'm not
getting out. Just drive me at a train station. I said, buddy,

(21:26):
I want you out of this car. You're going to
learn a lesson here today that you're not going to
insult the guy who gives you a free ride. I'm
going to teach you a lesson. You're going to learn
a lesson. And he says, I'm knocketting out. And I said,
you see that that Arcadia cop over there, his name
is Kevin. I've known that guy for a long time.
I can walk up to him and say, hey, there's
this homeless guy in my car that won't get out,

(21:46):
and he won't ask any questions.

Speaker 8 (21:47):
He'll just throw your ass out of the car.

Speaker 6 (21:49):
You want to do it that way, or you want
to get out, And he starts laughing his ass off,
and he gets out and I drive away, and he
texts me later. He said he walked all the way
to the train station. Took about twenty five minutes to
get there, and he said he laughed his ass off
all the way there. He couldn't believe his friend was
throwing him out of the car. He didn't think he
follow because he called it his wife's car.

Speaker 8 (22:11):
He learned, he learned.

Speaker 12 (22:13):
A feminine car.

Speaker 6 (22:14):
No, it's not. You know what, you know what a
real feminine thing is walking to your own bus. That's
a real feminine. Look, that's what's going on with that guy.
And it was great. And I said, no, today you're
learning a lesson. You know, many days you don't have to,
but you're learning one today that you don't get in
a guy's car who's given you a free ride.

Speaker 8 (22:32):
And insult his car. Yeah, get out. Yeah, And he
got out, and so win win.

Speaker 6 (22:38):
We're live keeping an eye on this accident on the
four or five northbound. Not all lanes are open. I
think three angel right three lanes are open, three possibly
four right down and we'll get an update on the
officer as well. We'll we're lobbing a call into LAPD
and see what the condition of the officer is. But

(22:58):
four or five northbound I'm looking at right now now
on channel seven.

Speaker 8 (23:01):

Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 6 (26:29):
Let's doing yard work today. Let's cut the grass and
I got I got stung by b in my mouth.

Speaker 12 (26:37):
Yeah, yeah again, open to keep your mouth.

Speaker 8 (26:42):
Wide open, wide open, wide open.

Speaker 12 (26:44):
Some tostitos.

Speaker 8 (26:45):
Yeah, turn in to a mouth breeze. Tostitos, barrel bellio,
how dare you belly?

Speaker 6 (26:54):
Tostitos is the in in in English means honeybee. So
I got stung by these honeybees. They're called tostitos. You
would know that, angel, if you had any Spanish blood
in you or Spanish, I.

Speaker 10 (27:09):
Mean I knew it. I just didn't want to steal
your thunder.

Speaker 6 (27:14):
Or if you were LATINX or LATINX. What do you
prefer LATNX or LATINX.

Speaker 12 (27:20):
I like Latins personally.

Speaker 6 (27:23):
LATINX, isn't that great? I love that that didn't catch on.
I love that that Hispanic people said, f off with that.

Speaker 12 (27:30):
Oh, I love that. That was the best part of it.

Speaker 6 (27:33):
It was great, you know that was that was a
like a West Side liberal weenie term that the Hispanics might,
Wait a minute, you're going to call us what LATINX?

Speaker 8 (27:43):
The hell out of here? Trouble with you? All right?

Speaker 6 (27:45):
David Vasse the say, hey kid, he's with the Dodgers
and he's with us.

Speaker 8 (27:50):
David Vassy, how you, bob?

Speaker 5 (27:52):
I'm doing great. I had my money on a Dodger dog,
is what.

Speaker 6 (27:57):
You, buddy? I love the Dodger dog. You know they're
not Farmer John anymore, is that right?

Speaker 5 (28:03):
That's right. Papa Cantella's a local hot dog making a
factory down in Vernon makes them as well. So that's
the new one, and I personally like it.

Speaker 8 (28:14):
I like it too.

Speaker 6 (28:15):
That's exactly where Farmer John used to be made to in Vernon.

Speaker 5 (28:20):
Oh interesting, interesting, Hey Conway, A big night tonight for
the Dodgers show. Hey Otani, unanimous National League MVP tonight
on a rehab yer on a rehab here where he's
not pitching, but became the first ever fifty fifty player as.

Speaker 11 (28:38):
A D eight.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
No player has ever. He started the fifty to fifty club,
fifty home runs, fifty stolen bases, and leads the Dodgers
to a World Series championship in his first year.

Speaker 6 (28:50):
Buddy, I was watching the Dodgers all year, and I'm gonna.

Speaker 8 (28:55):
Quiz you here.

Speaker 6 (28:56):
Okay, okay, show otani, which is the forty forty club
with a home run in unusual fashion?

Speaker 8 (29:05):
Tell me about that home run.

Speaker 5 (29:08):
It was a walk off Grand Slam the Tampa Bay Rays.

Speaker 8 (29:13):
That's right, you know, I have that.

Speaker 5 (29:15):
I have that to be there that day.

Speaker 11 (29:18):
I have that.

Speaker 8 (29:18):
Well, I'm sort of like you. I have it saved
on my DVR.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
Oh okay, great. Do you watch that more than the
Freddie Freeman walk off Grand Slam?

Speaker 3 (29:27):
No?

Speaker 6 (29:28):
You know what I watch almost every night though, the
fifth inning of game five, Game five.

Speaker 5 (29:35):
Game five, Yeah, yeah, fifth inning, Game five, more than
Freddy's walk off Grand Slam?

Speaker 8 (29:39):
Oh yeah. I love Freddy Freeman, though.

Speaker 6 (29:42):
That is the I think that might be the best
human being ever born in the world.

Speaker 5 (29:47):
He's right up there. I mean, people think he's had
an easy life. He lost his mom when he was
ten or eleven years old to cancer. His dad raised him.
They dote both of them to kind of deal with
the pain, dove into baseball. His dad would throw a
batting practice to Freddie multiple times a day. Uh. They

(30:07):
have been inseparable since. And that's part of the reason
why Freddie found his father, who was sitting by the
way right behind home plate with Mary Hart when he
hit that walk off grand slam. And yeah, Freddie has
not had an easy year and certainly has not had
an easy life dealing with a life without a mom.

Speaker 6 (30:28):
Basically, Well, tell us more about the Mary Heart Freddie
Freeman's dad connection.

Speaker 8 (30:32):
What's going on there?

Speaker 5 (30:34):
Yeah, I guess like Freddie's dad befriended Mary Hart and
Mary's at every single Dodger game. He loves having Freddie
Freeman's father as a seat mate late in the season.

Speaker 8 (30:48):
Okay, all right, so they're not a couple.

Speaker 5 (30:51):
No. Mary is happily married, and so is Freddie's dad.
He has a step mom.

Speaker 6 (30:56):
So doesn't Mary Hart have a famous Mary Hart has
a famous husband.

Speaker 5 (31:02):
I believe she does, but I'm not. I'm not really.

Speaker 8 (31:05):
Software John Tesh, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (31:07):
The guy, right now not John Tesh.

Speaker 8 (31:10):
It's John Tesh.

Speaker 5 (31:12):
It is not John Tesh.

Speaker 6 (31:13):
So you're saying that Freddy's dad is married to John Tesh.

Speaker 5 (31:18):
I am not saying that either. Conway, Buddy, I saw
Bert Sugarman.

Speaker 6 (31:23):
Oh, he's another music guy. I went to the Dodger
social media page and I was watching all the great
Dodger social media and there's one of you in Milwaukee
going back to that slide.

Speaker 5 (31:37):
Yes, my right, my right wrist is fully healed. I
get thank you for bringing that up, because now you
have checked off. Ever since that day, at least once
a day somebody will bring up the Milwaukee slide incident.
So thank you.

Speaker 14 (31:51):
I was running.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
This day.

Speaker 6 (31:56):
That is so classic, Buddy, I I saw I. I've
seen you grow from a Petro some money in turn
to a producer and then king of the Dodgers.

Speaker 8 (32:05):
It's a great uh. It's a great career, Buddy, you
put together for yourself.

Speaker 5 (32:10):
I was never Petros Money's intern, Conway. It was the
other way around. Petros was my intern, and he has
grown at least six way sizes since I knew him,
and it's been a wonderful relationship. But I appreciate that
it's been a great ride.

Speaker 6 (32:24):
But I also love that when the Dodgers won against
San Diego and then the Meds and then the Yankees,
that the first guy that seeks you out after a
big win, Max Muncy, I love.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
How you find these things. It's like, where is Waldough.
You're always where I'm at at right, but he always
seems to be right there as well. And it's flattering
Tim that Mounsey and the rest of the Dodgers for
the most part, have brought me in more so than
any other reporter and just really included me in what
they do. And it I feel like it's I make

(33:01):
it about them, and that's what they appreciate.

Speaker 6 (33:03):
I heard that Dave Roberts had a conversation with Max
Munsey saying it's it's weird that he hangs out with
you too much and asks him to stop doing that.

Speaker 8 (33:10):
Is that true he.

Speaker 5 (33:12):
May have had that conversation. I appreciate you making me
aware of that conversation. Dave Roberts, by the way, just
return from a European vacation. Wow, and he said he
got recognized out there by Dodger fans.

Speaker 8 (33:26):
Oh that's great, and who deserves it more? Than that.

Speaker 5 (33:30):
Well, Dave Roberts does not have an easy job. He
had a lot of large personalities to manage. No pitching
Tonight's MVP.

Speaker 6 (33:38):
And a horrible pitching staff were are not horrible, but
a pitching staff that was always.

Speaker 5 (33:42):
Injured, especially in the postseason. He managed maybe the most
perfect playoffs that he has ever managed before. And I'm
not saying that because they won the World Series. He
did almost everything right, and every manager isn't perfect, but
Dave Roberts came pretty close to this October.

Speaker 8 (34:02):
He is great.

Speaker 11 (34:03):
Man.

Speaker 8 (34:03):
Can you stay with us?

Speaker 5 (34:05):
I can. I'm right outside of in Manhattan Beach.

Speaker 6 (34:08):
Oh, you're the best, All right? Hold on one second,
David Vassay is with us. We have another accident on
a on a freeway with another motorcycle in Bell Gardens
and we'll come back. We'll tell you about that. But
that's horrible. These seven to ten is closed.

Speaker 8 (34:24):
What's going on? Angel? The fire department can't even get there.

Speaker 10 (34:28):
Yeah, it's this one is a I mean, the last
crash we were talking about in this po the pass
was awful, but this one is even worse.

Speaker 8 (34:34):
If you can imagine, is this right where the bike
is it's terrible.

Speaker 12 (34:38):
You buy the bicycle club.

Speaker 8 (34:41):
We called the bike your gamble bike.

Speaker 12 (34:43):
Oh yeah, it's by where the bike is. Yeah, seven
tens south near Florence. It's between Florence and Firestone right there.

Speaker 8 (34:50):
We'llcome back to talk about that too. David Vassay is
with us.

Speaker 6 (34:53):
Angel. Please, I'm trying to a show. We're live on
kf I am six forty. We're gonna be at Wendy's
tomorrow two three zero to two Alicia Parkway right there,
Olympia and a Lisia Parkway.

Speaker 8 (35:05):
We'll see you there. Please comebye. Don't ignore us. You
know we talk.

Speaker 6 (35:09):
Yeah, we talk about how great Orange County is all
the time. And if and if only like three people
show up, I'm gonna s all over Orange County.

Speaker 8 (35:18):
Give us a reason to do more. Be there, be.

Speaker 12 (35:20):
There, and yeah you know what, you know that man Angel.

Speaker 8 (35:23):
Will be less annoying tomorrow.

Speaker 12 (35:25):
Yeah, even less annoying. Imagine that.

Speaker 10 (35:27):
But remember the guy that showed up at Katerina's club
and he was dressed up like he just stepped out
at the stagecoach.

Speaker 11 (35:34):
Right.

Speaker 12 (35:35):
Yeah, So the other day he sends me this message.

Speaker 10 (35:38):
And he's like, it's the Wendy's in Laguna Hills, not
Mission Viejo.

Speaker 12 (35:44):
I'm like, well, you just have fun there. We'll see
you later. You don't hang out at the one and
Laguna Hills off the five. It's not that one. It's
the one up by the lake.

Speaker 6 (35:53):
We'll stop by that one on the way out. All right,
we're live on KFI. We'll come back with the accident more
David Vsate with the Dodgers show. A Otani gets MVP
MVP of the National League. What an honor.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
Am six.

Speaker 6 (36:10):
Forty Before we get back to David Matt today with
the Los Angeles Dodgers. We have yet another motorcycle accident.
We saw the one earlier on the four or five
northbound at Skirball Center. That you're getting some relief there.
I think there's three or four lanes that are open,
but the seven to ten is closed because of a
motorcycle maybe a fatality.

Speaker 18 (36:29):
This is another motorcycle crash, this one and much more
serious unfortunate than the one we showed you earlier.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
This is on the.

Speaker 18 (36:34):
Southbound seven ten past Florence. It was a motorcyclist who
may have been stuck under this truck right here. CHP
just pulled them out and they are doing some life
saving techniques. They're doing CPR on the person right now,
which is always a very very bad sign. I think
this is a separate MOTORCYCLI I do not believe that
that was the rider's bike right there. But all lanes
are stopped right now as they attempt to save this

(36:56):
person's life, and the southbound seven ten is already, you know,
a very very heavy drive. All of these lanes are blocked.
It looks like I might have some emergency personnel right
here that are stuck in traffic trying to get to
the scene as well.

Speaker 11 (37:07):
All lanes blocked.

Speaker 18 (37:08):
Southbound seven ten headed through Bell Gardens, another area that
you definitely must avoid at all costs.

Speaker 6 (37:13):
Right now, all right, it's been a horrible day for
traffic in Los Angeles. We'll try to keep it light
so you don't lose your hair and your mind, and
we do that by talking to guys like David vaz
Say with the LA Dodgers, to say, hey, kid, David,
I noticed they're doing some yet more construction. It seems
like every off season they renovate Dodgers Stadium. What is

(37:34):
the current construction all about?

Speaker 8 (37:38):
Is he with us?

Speaker 6 (37:41):
I'm sorry, wait, wait back up again. I was sitting
on your gob on the on button here with my
fat ass. What's going on with the construction at Dodger Stadium.

Speaker 5 (37:52):
Well, my understanding is it's a renovation of the Dodgers'
home clubhouse primarily where they're going to renovate it, expand it.
As you know, in every walk of life, technology is growing,
same thing in baseball. They're going to make the facilities
even more grand than they were the first time they

(38:12):
renovated the Dodger Clubhouse. And also they're going to do
some touch up to the visiting side of the clubhouse.
But as you know, Tim, that's not as big of
a priority as the Dodgers side of the stadium. But
that's what's going on and the reason why you see
the entire when you see these photos over aerial photos
of the renovation construction at Dodger Stadium. As you know, Tim,

(38:36):
when Dodger Stadium was constructed, it was basically built into
the mountain, so it's really hard to add on or
expand they have to dig more deeper into the mountains
to be able to expand. And that's what they did
the first time, you know, the first time the Dodger
Clubhouse was renovated was when this ownership group took over

(39:00):
in twenty fourteen, twenty fifteen. They dug deeper into the
mountain that Dodger Stadium was built into. And they're doing
that again, and that's why you see the feel look
the way it does. It's not like they're changing the
dimensions of Dodger Stadium, but those are just the necessity
to be able to dig deeper into the mountain at

(39:21):
Dodger Stadium to expand, expand and renovate.

Speaker 8 (39:24):
Okay, David, I noticed that.

Speaker 5 (39:28):
Kind of like your property, Tim, Oh yeah, you know,
the renovate the palatial Conway of State. You have to
really dig deeper into the mountains. You know what.

Speaker 6 (39:39):
We're redoing our grass tennis court this year because the
clay court is finally finished.

Speaker 5 (39:45):
Get rid of the bees, that's right, the bees.

Speaker 6 (39:48):
Hey, So what does the Dodger pitching staff look like
next year? And I know we're still early, it's only November,
but were your best guess?

Speaker 5 (39:56):
Well, the Dodgers aren't pursuing yet, another Japanese superstar tim
by the name of Roki Sazaki, who is twenty three
years old, throws one hundred miles an hour. The Dodgers
are one of many teams that are trying to sign
Roki Sazaki out of Japan. Also, two time Cy Young
Award winner Blake Snell is very much on the gotten radar.

(40:20):
They met with Snell in Orange County at Scott Bris's
office last week, so Blake Snell and the Dodgers are
very much engaged in contract talks.

Speaker 6 (40:29):
Okay, So you got Sazaki, Blake Snell, and who are
the other three?

Speaker 5 (40:35):
Well? Tonight's National League MVP Sho hey Otani is expected
to pitch again next year. He did have left laborum
surgery to repair his shoulder injury from the World Series,
but that's not his throwing arms, so it shouldn't delay
him pitching that long. But I don't see him coming
back until June. Clayton Kershaw had knee and foot surgery

(40:58):
left foot, left knee, so he's probably not going to
be ready for opening Day. So that's the reason why
the Dodgers are looking outside for more pitching help because
so many guys that were injured when they went into
the postseason, are still injured?

Speaker 8 (41:13):
Okay, alight, And then what about Bueller? Bueller Buehller.

Speaker 5 (41:18):
Walker Buehler, the hero of Game five, is a free agent,
and the Dodgers have competition Orioles, Yankees, Braves, Mets. A
lot of those teams are after Bueller, so there's some
competition for Bueler.

Speaker 6 (41:34):
Okay, I got an idea for the Dodgers. How they
can make a couple of bucks. Okay, the beer soaked
carpet that's.

Speaker 8 (41:42):
In their locker room.

Speaker 6 (41:44):
Yes, cut that up into square inches, sell it for
thirty forty bucks, and you can make a couple of
hundred grand.

Speaker 5 (41:50):
I love it. They are really struggling to find more
revenue opportunities, so I'll share that with them.

Speaker 8 (41:58):
These guys have made a lot of money.

Speaker 6 (42:00):
I love the fact that Mark Cuban said that one
point two billion was too much to pay for the
Dodgers back then.

Speaker 5 (42:06):
Yeah. I feel like that was a swing and miss
by a shark. Yeah right, he acts like he's perfect. Now.

Speaker 6 (42:17):
Look he also lost out on ring camera. He could
have had ten percent of that.

Speaker 5 (42:22):
Oh well, Shaq is cashing in on that Conway. You
and Shack are cashing in on ring.

Speaker 6 (42:27):
That's right, buddy. What does the off season look like
for you? Are you going to do anything? Are you
gonna be on the radio or are you just hanging out
with the family.

Speaker 5 (42:34):
Well, tonight you'll see me on sportsnet LA. We take
a show. Hey Otani MVP show. You'll see me on
sports net LA during the off season with some off
season shows. I'm headed to Dallas, Texas the first week
of December the Winter Meetings kind of a baseball convention
where managers, GM's agents are all under one roof. So

(42:55):
I'll be out there. I'm available Conway see me from Dallas.

Speaker 8 (42:59):
We would love to.

Speaker 5 (43:00):
And and also Winter Meetings. I was at Brad Paisley's
farm and help put together a trade between the Dodgers
and Rays at his hot house bar.

Speaker 8 (43:10):
That's pretty cool. What are any international games?

Speaker 5 (43:12):
I'm impressed? Name this.

Speaker 11 (43:17):
Who that is?

Speaker 6 (43:18):
I just don't know who Brad Paisley is. Oh, stop, buddy,
international games? Anything for the Dodgers this year?

Speaker 5 (43:26):
You play this game? So well?

Speaker 8 (43:28):
Are you going?

Speaker 5 (43:29):
You are very aware aware that the Dodgers are starting
the season yet again overseas last year South Korea. This
year Tokyo Japan against the Chicago Cup.

Speaker 8 (43:42):
Oh man, that's going to be a sellout.

Speaker 5 (43:45):
But well, it's like traveling with the Beatles when you're
with Otani and Japan.

Speaker 6 (43:49):
I appreciate you coming on. Sorry, you have to take
a break here. You're the best Buddy.
