and to find out all about meTommartino dot com. YouTube. We're

with the Troubleshooter Network. Welcome tothe show. Hello YouTube morons, thanks
for being here. And my Facebookflunkies, I very seldom say hi to
them. High Facebook flunkies, butmainly my YouTube morons are more active.

(01:23):
So let's go to the phones andsee what we can do for you.
Today's Car Day. We have Kevinwith us, uncle Kevin Calkin from Shared
In Autotech. And then we haveRodgreer. Rod is with Jeffarcars. He's
a car salesman, car dealer, and we need not until noon. Oh
okay, so he'll be in here. Okay, So thanks. So let's

(01:46):
start out with Mary wants to talkabout an apartment issue. Then I want
to talk to these guys. I'mbeing told the gas prices are skyrocketing.
Now I've noticed a little increase,but around the country, I guess it's
even worse. Another thing, skyrocketinginsurance rates and maintenance parts. So bad

(02:10):
news if you have a car.The cost of cars all around when you
take into consideration. To us,today is car Day, Car Friday,
when you take into consideration the increasein maintenance and by the way, I'm
not blaming Kevin or any of ourgreat mechanics and auto repair shops. Their
hourly rates did not substantially increase atall. What's increasing our supplies and parts?

(02:38):
By Ken, Yeah, no,it's and it's it's still a talent
to get some stuff. But yeah, no everything. Everything is up twenty
percent, I mean, and theinsurance rates are up as far as thirty
percent, and then gasoline started goingup again. You know, it's really
funny because so many economic indicators saywe're doing great. We have lagging indicators

(03:05):
that said we did great. Wehave concurrent indicators looking good, and then
we have lagging indicator. I mean, excuse me. We have advanced indicators
saying things are going to be good, but then I hear people complaining.
So I don't get it. Idon't know how you can have economic indicators
like the stock market and certain barometersshowing a good economy. But if you

(03:30):
ask Mark right there Hills, thateconomy sucks, right, And I don't
really know one way or the other. I don't know because I'm obviously I
know for my sponsors, I don'tthink any of them are happy. But
keV, let's just talk to youand Rod, keV, is your business
good or bad? Well, Marchwas one of the worst must we've had

(03:52):
in a while, but I thinknow year over year, okay, let's
go back. And I know relativelyprofits changed because their cost but I'm talking
about traffic. Go back four orfive years, was traffic better than now?
No, the traffic is definitely betternow because people are maintaining the cars
and keeping them longer, because ofthe price of new stuff. Definitely.

(04:14):
Okay, what about what about profits? Profits are down? You know we
have we may have to readjust afew things. Are you know our rent
is up? Insurance is up?Guys need raises? To say, when
you look around, do you personallythink the economy sucks? You're in business,
You live, you breathe, youbuy, you sell. Do you

(04:34):
think when you look around the economysucks? Well, I think you know,
the the everyday stuff is starting toget challenging. I mean everybody's property
tax doubled. You know, thehomeowners is Talk to Rod. Now Rod's
not in yet, He'll be in. That's right, gosh, Okay,
I got I gotta keep remembering that. Now, Mark, let's talk to

(04:55):
you. Is he there? Ishe? There? There? You are
one? So Mark, when youlook at the economy and look around,
what do you think it sucks rightnow? The inflation even though inflation isn't
over three percent at this point,it doesn't matter. It's never come down
from the last two three years. It's crazy how much a loaf of bread
is. What's really mind boggling tome is how much like fast food is

(05:18):
now. It's crazy. I don'tknow how some of these people on that
poverty line actually buy anything at thegrocery store anymore. And here's the thing
about minimum wage. This is whereI think we have a mistaken opinion of
minimum wage. Minimum wage. Firstof all, it should be a pretty

(05:41):
decent wage, but it's getting outof hand to where Mark just hit it
on the head. He said, where people who want to buy low cost
food and meals can't And that's right. So you're not helping people what you're
doing. Minimum wage was never meantto be a career ever. It wasn't
meant to sustain families. It wasn'tmeant to It's meant to get people into

(06:09):
the workforce, and it's meant toget them later on making more money.
Do you see minimum wage is justthat minimum wage. It's not a living
wage. It's a minimum wage. That doesn't mean is should be slave labor.
Well, all I'm saying is thisminimum wage is meant to get you
into the labor force and then Theway it should work is you either go

(06:31):
on to better things or promote yourselfwithin that company, or make more money
and then other people come in andmake minimum wage. But the way it
is now, instead of people wantingto hire more and keep that minimum wage
going and people advancing, what's happeningis they're now thinking of ways to do
a way with entry level employees. So you see, I have a saying

(06:56):
socialism time, and that's what means. And I'm going to you talk doct
just one second. I have asaying that absolutely positively never fails. Me.
Life is its own teacher. Youdon't have to tell anyone that their
policy is going to succeed or fail. Life will do it. Now,
what we're you gonna say, doctor, Well, I think the minimum wage

(07:17):
thing was set up way before wehad this influx of immigrants who are taking
these minimum wage jobs because it's allthat they can do given the current political
situation. They don't even have workVISs of the majority of them. But
that's what's happened, tom, It'sthe minimum wage is being you know,
it's being given to immigrants who haveno other choice. BAC. What I'm

(07:40):
saying is that hasn't even started tohappen yet because they don't even have work
permits. When that kicks in,it's going to get even worse. Uh.
Yeah, you're right. But here'swhat I want to say about that.
I personally and I don't like talkingabout this a lot, but I
need to because I need help.I've adopted families to try to help them

(08:01):
assimilate and do it right. Andhere's the deal. One of them is
working. One. I mean theyare working, all of them, but
one of them has a job thatthe employer could not find anyone. He
could not find anyone to show upand to work their ass off. And
this person not only shows up butworks their ass off. Now, let

(08:26):
me explain this. There's so muchred tape to get work from its and
visas that I'm not giving names outof anyone. I'm just saying this.
They're working and they're getting paid. That's all I'm going to say. And
the way I look at it isif you put out the welcome mat and
you call yourself a sanctuary state anda sanctuary city, even though it's not

(08:50):
officially written anywhere, and you saycome one and come all, and then
you put up red tape for everythingthey have to do, red tape.
They told them to beat it.The other day they said, we don't
have anything else, get the hellout of town. Right. That's not
red tape. That's saying, hey, we'll give you a bus ticket,
get the hell out of it.I know. But what I mean is

(09:11):
if they want to work. AndI'm not talking about taking jobs from other
people, because mark the people thatI have working right now, I swear
to God that the employers could notfill the positions, so they took jobs
from no one from no one,and in fact, before immigrants, they

(09:33):
tried to hire people who had youknow, I know it's not popular stay
homeless, but people that did wereunhoused or whatever you want to say,
and those people would be show updrunk and addicted and couldn't work. These
Venezuelan so far put in extra timeand work their asses off. Now I'm

(09:54):
not saying everyone from Venezuela is wonderful, and I know there are a lot
of criminals from south of the borderand north of the border and west and
east. I mean, I'm nottalking about that. I'm just saying that
not everyone can be put into onebig group just like when I just said
homeless showed up a drunken addicted.Of course, not all of them.
But what I'm saying is this frommy personal experience in the trenches with people

(10:20):
who have come into this country andthey got political asylum. These people are
working and they're not taking jobs fromanyone. Now that's not I can't say
that's one hundred percent everyone. Butthat idea that oh, they're taking jobs
away, I don't get it.And on that topic, I just want

(10:41):
to say this, the one familyI do have that is the most advanced.
He now has his license that's beingconverted. That's a good thing.
And he has enough money to registera car and pay for minimum insurance.
So I'm looking for a car now. There was a guy on the show

(11:01):
the other day that said he's fixingup a car to donate, and I'm
not going into the car donation business. I'm doing this one at a time.
Mark and I a long time agostarted adopting people one at a time
who have an ability and a desireto work or to help themselves. We

(11:22):
said we can't help people once theyfall off the cliff. They're in a
hole and they don't want to getout. But if someone is hanging on,
we try to help them. Sothis particular a guy, if you
I'm trying, I promise you thatthis car will go to the right person
and it doesn't have to be fancyor anything. And he is licensed,

(11:46):
so and also helping him do abank account. And I do want to
say something. They have a toughtime even cashing checks from work, and
I noticed them. I'm not goingto name banks, but I talk to
some banks who helped me get theirchecks cashed and are helping them open bank

(12:07):
accounts. What we're trying to dois, if they're here, how do
you open a bank account without asocial I'd like to know that trick you
can with identification you can open upand then and then yeah, you can
open a bank account with How doyou pay taxes without a social How do
they pay taxes? Well, becausetax are withdrawn and they pay I mean,
I don't know, Mark, Idon't know. But it's not a

(12:33):
lot of these people. It's notthat they don't want to do things right,
it's that there's not a path todoing it right now. I'm not
talking about the argument is they didn'tcome here in the proper way. I
mean, that's really the argument though, Tom, And that's and that's absolutely
true. They were desperate to getout of that situation. And you're absolutely
right they most technically they should havestated, they should have applied, and

(12:56):
blah blah blah blah blah. Butif you heard some of the circumstances and
you had and Addie and Miles wereyoung babies or little kids, toddlers,
you would leave to be under thesame circumstances. Here's the deal. You
know, they're already here and Bidenlet them in. Let's put it that

(13:16):
way, Okay, So that argumentis long past. And just to put
them on a bus and keep shiftingthem around from state to state or say
go back home. Listen, Iknow a lot of people hate illegal or
and by the way, this isnot technically a legal immigration according to Biden's
administration. They're political asylum. SoI mean, you work that out with

(13:37):
your president. But in any case, once they're here, what do you
do You either help people assimilate andbecome productive members of society or what we'll
talk to say, a lot ofpeople just are upset that they don't know
who they are and where they are. I know. I think that's the
biggest, one of the biggest complaintsthat I've heard from the people. You

(13:58):
can think, and you can think. Look, I'm not saying here,
I'm not I'm not on the radiosaying, you know, come one,
come all, let's do it.I'm saying, once our stupid governor and
mayor and president let them in withno plan of how they're going to help
them, there can be no wronghelping. I mean, what can go
on. There's a lot of peoplethat get VA benefits and other things that

(14:20):
are getting cut. I heard inNew York City people people with full disability
that's actually get less than people thatillegally cross the border, and whether they're
a guid away or not, itdoesn't even matter. They're getting more than
our own people. That's ridiculous.I mark, that's right, and that's
why I want people to be productiveso they're not depending on the government.

(14:46):
That's exactly right. They are,and it's ridiculous. And the ideal situation
is once they're here, they're hereanyway. Okay, we're not going to
kill them. Okay, we're notgonna and we shouldn't pouse them publicly.
We shouldn't give them government benefit. We can't send him back. So so
the ones who are willing to assimilateand work and become productive, that's what

(15:07):
this country is built on. Imean, it really is. Whether you're
Republican under Democrat, you got toacknowledge that. But but you know,
I'm not saying, come one, come all, and let's pay benefits and
let's let's cut a city workers.No, that's that's your government. That's
your governor Polis, and your mayor. This the mayor is this. This

(15:28):
is the biggest idiot we have everhad for a mayor I have ever seen
in my life. The man speaksand makes absolutely no sense. I never
thought I would be praying for ourprevious horror loving mayor. I never thought
I would. I am because comparedto what we have now, that man
was Einstein. We have more comingup. Go with a sure thing Denver's

because if I can't take the moneyup, I have no other means
of resources to get up and unstuckin never house. It is apartment building
that has been trashed by homeless andstuff. And Mary, Mary, I

(17:07):
need to ask a few questions.Okay, so right now, right now,
you're living in Denver Housing Authority Housing? Yes? How long have you
lived there? I've lived going oneight years of this apartment and five across
the street. Okay, Now areyou saying right now you live there?

(17:27):
How are you paying your rent?SSI? Okay, you're on SSI.
Okay, Now, next question, are you being evicted? No? But
that my health has gone that inreal bad. Since I'm load over here,
well what does that mean? Wellwhy did you move? Why did

(17:48):
you move across the street? BecauseI mean I was being put in a
wheelchair eight years ago and the apartmentI was in was the cause of what
the abatement pee slash now maintenance andpayments piece. Okay, okay, Mary.
So now you're across the street. You've been there for a few years.
And what are you calling about today? Do you want to leave?

(18:12):
I need to get out of here, but I cannot leave a corner never
Housing Authority property managers Miss is StephanieBlack and so well, hold on,
what do you mean you can't holdon? What do you mean you can't
leave? According to DHA and hidlaw, when you owe and lentil is

(18:33):
paid off, you can't move. And this is the first time. Well
you can't. I can't hold on. Listen, you can't move into another
subsidized place until you pay it.You can move all you want, Mary,
Mary, I'm not going to talkto you. If you don't listen,

(18:55):
you absolutely positively can move. Theycan hold you a prisoner in your
apartment if you wanted to move withyour daughter, for example, somewhere.
They can't prevent you from moving. What they can do is take away your
subsidized rent and then so therefore youwouldn't be able to afford it. Now,

(19:19):
what I need to know is whydo you owe money? And how
much do you owe? I owetwo thousand, two hundred and twelve dollars.
Okay, hold on a second, why do you owe that much?
It was an abatements See it startedacross the street. What is an abatement
fee? What is it for supposedlyshutting my one of my surtified therapists to

(19:45):
panion animals? And he did notdo? And okay, hold on,
I need to know again. Ijust I don't need a story. Here's
what I need. I need avery simple explanation. What is the two
thousand? And is it for damagesyou did? Supposedly what my dog did?

(20:06):
Okay? And was that in yourlast apartment? Yeah? But what
kind of damages did they say yourdog did? Supposedly? Mister? My
channels what they call and it's notplush carpy, it's real send chat carpy.
Is that? Okay? Now,who's trying to collect the two grand

(20:29):
Who's trying to collect the money fromyou. Is it Denver Housing Authority?
Okay, now, okay, gotit. I want to ask another question.
Are they trying. Are they sayingthat you can't move if you don't
pay this into another subsidized place,or are they saying if you don't pay

(20:52):
it, we are going to evictyou. No, I have to pay
it before I'm allowed to move. And this is the first time in But
they're not. Hold on, Mary, but they're not going to evict you.
I don't like the housing I'm in, Mary, I'm asking a question
and I need information. If youdon't pay the two thousand dollars, are

(21:14):
they going to evict you? No? Good, I don't like what I
go through. I know, Iget it. I get it. You
don't like where you are. Youthink it's making you sick, and you
want to move somewhere else. Okay, But Mary, what you're asking is
this, Do we have two thousanddollars to pay so you can move?

(21:38):
And the answer is we don't.Not under these circumstances, you're not facing
eviction or homelessness. But I cando this. We can try to call
over there and see if they willabate the abatement, so I do not
sure I have anybody else to goto. That's right, that's why we

(22:00):
want to help you. We willmarry. I'm not telling you we don't
want to help you. I'm tellingyou it's going to be difficult. I
understand you have charges from your dogfrom the previous place that you disagree with.
I think that ship has sailed.I don't think you're going to be
able to disagree with it, butI do think you can ask them for
mercy. I mean, I'm surethey can wave fees under special circumstances.

(22:22):
But let's just say this. Ifthey did wave the fee, where do
you want to move? Courthouse Squarethat's done by the allies of unfortunes can
share and if you move there, would you get subsidized rent? Yes?
Okay, hold on, you knowwhat I'd like to do, Deputy Doc.
Since you're there in your allowed mouthtoday and you chime in on everything,

(22:44):
I want you if you could,if you're not overwhelmed with cases.
I'm not sure our case count rightnow, and if so, Kachina can
give it to someone else. Withthe loss of stuff. Doc does a
lot of tenant landlord stuff, soI want him to ask Denver Housing Authority
if there's a way people in extremeneed like this and disabilities, if they

(23:07):
can get these charges waived so shecan apply for a change doc. What
do you think? Let's at leastask can I can't help to make thee

They credit you when you have thework done. But for the twenty

So if your toilet doesn't need anything, really there's no parts, then you
simply pay the twenty eight. Ifit's more than that, they credit you

talk about hvac coincidentally. Jeffrey,Hi, what's happening? Well, just
doing hanging out listening to your show. What can we answer for you?

(25:26):
Well, I have a furnace that'sgoing out in the house in Longmont.
How do you know what's going out? Well, we keep getting it fixed.
And when you get it fixed, what do they say is wrong with
it? It's always been something different. It's like, give me an idea.

(25:49):
I don't have to repair in frontof you. Okay, Now here's
what I want to know. ThenI want to know a few things.
How old is it? I thinkit's about fifteen years old. It's a
good yeah, okay, so it'sa builder grade probably Goodman does make some
better stuff. But I assume isthis Have you been in the home the
whole time my mother in law livesin it. Is it a track home?

(26:18):
It? Yes? Okay, Soif it's a track home and it's
been there, is the home fifteenyears old or just the furnace? Oh
no, the home's built in theearly seventies. Oh, so she's had
this replaced. This is yeah, this is replaced. We bought the house
about five six years ago, okay, and it had been replaced. Here's

(26:41):
what I'm assuming. I'm assuming youhave a builder grade low grade eighty percent
efficient furnace. No, it's ahigh grade furnace. What it's a high
efficiency yeah? Are you sure theymake all kinds of stuff? Man,
No, I know that they do. But mark fifteen years ago, it
just didn't seem like they wouldn't befifteen years ago. I mean, it

(27:04):
might be high efficiency for fifteen yearsago, but it's sure not high efficiency
now. Yeah. Right, anyway, here's what you need. You need
an honest assessment from somebody, andwe have honest people. Now, I'm
just gonna be I'm gonna be straightwith you. We don't have cheap out
of the back of an SUV person, Okay, we just don't. We

(27:26):
have professionals that will give you afree estimate and then you decide what's the
best value. But the houses inLong Lind, Well, what difference does
that make? What difference does thatmake? Well, every company, I
think almost every company we have goesto longmand So I don't know what you're
I don't know who you called.I haven't called anybody. Well, you've

(27:51):
got plumb line, you've got tofix it. You've got Master Rooter HVAC,
you've got eighty eighty go to referralliss dot com and pick a company.
They all will go there. Ohokay, well you know I'm serious.
Eight heating in our other house beforewe sold it. Did you like
them? Yeah, they did areally good job. Good call them.

(28:11):
I think they go up there.Yeah yeah, Garrett does no doubt.
Man. Yeah, so I woulddo that. I'd like to get a
couple estates. Now that was yourquestion. Wait a minute, was your
question who you should call? Orwas your question something else? No,
we're doing the furnace. Had theguy that put the furnace in didn't put

(28:34):
in the air conditioning units? Oh, call people and saying asking them,
can you do an air conditions? No one would touch it because hold on
plumb line. Now they won't dojustin air. But here's what you can
do. Plumb Line has a specialif right now that if you do a
new AC they throw in the furnacefor no charge. Okay, and you're

(28:59):
probably gonna want to do both, bro Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
we just want to. When webought the house, the guy says,
yeah, you can get an airconditioner. We just didn't do it.
It was all set up. Everythinggood men started making. Good men started
making ninety percent efficient furnaces. Ijust looked it. Looked it up in
nineteen eighty two. Yeah it was, Yeah, but I'll bet you it

(29:25):
wasn't. These modulating furnaces now thoseare I think they're relatively new, variable
speed or actually lit a fire init too. Yeah, that's a nice
add on. You can do those. The steamers if you really want something.
I can get our house up tofifty percent humidity with a steamer.
It's awesome. Now, Mark, when you say steamer, is that a

(29:48):
heat steamer you talk about ultrasound. No, it's a steamer instead of having
like I mean, it's water fedand it hits up the water in this
big filter the size of the bigballoon, and it creates the steam.
You don't see the actual steam comeout of the vents, No, of
course not. But pump's moisture inmassive Yeah, and quick, real quick.

(30:11):
It's probably moisturizing a home. Theproblem with moisturizing a home if you
do it too much, a lotof your stuff gets used to the moisture
and then dries out and it canactually do like for pianos and certain things.
It can. It's really a weirdsituation. What happens when you feed
it moisture and it never had it. If you did that all the time
and it was used to it andseasoned to it, you don't have that

(30:34):
problem. But what they used tosay with pianos, if it was once
moisturized, you always have to moisturize. If it's dry, keep it dry.
It's weird. But anyway, thatwas for soundboards on pianos, but
that went for fine furniture as well, which I don't think there is fine
furniture anymore. I don't think.I mean, I think a few people
can ride done. No, no, But I don't think people buy big,

(35:59):
I'm trying to look up your originalcall. You had an issue with
your townhome development. What was goingwhat was going on? To help me
here? Did you use the nameConnie when you called in last time?
No, it's Canswilo. That's whatI thought. I can't find Okay,
so tell me what's going on.Okay. I received, I talked to
their lawyer. They came back andthey wanted ninety three dollars from me to

(36:22):
pay. Now, what was theoriginal dispute. I'm trying to figure that
out again. I'm sorry. Itwas where I did landscaping, and oh,
that's right, that's right. Iwanted to talk about that for people.
What happened was you used to landscape. They used to let you.
It was kind of loosey goosey. They let you landscape right near your place

(36:43):
there in front of it, andin exchange they would give you a credit
on some fees. And then thenew board took over and said you're not
going to do that anymore, andkind of you know, they were not
nice about it. So you notonly that they find you, but didn't
you stop when they asked you tostop? Yes, but but they still

(37:06):
went on. Yeah, there's awhole gray matter here, and there's they
were not very nice. They couldhave just let you go, but they
How much did they find you atthe very end is ninety three hundred dollars?
God, I mean, but really, why did they Why did they
find you so much? Because theysaid I didn't cease and desist on the

(37:30):
first orders. It went up tofive point fifty and the first three the
accusations and the herring in the beginningwere totally false. I didn't do any
of what they accused me. Andthen all of a sudden then they had
these where I didn't insist and tocease with doing work out there. I

(37:51):
kept some pine needles. Yeah,So then they brought in another fine and
I was like, you guys, saw you guys. You know, the
the problem is is I wasn't outthere just doing it. Then they went
on to say that I watered thebush, when in fact, they asked
people in that meeting to please waterbushes to do that. Access to a

(38:12):
host through the drought last summer.Yeah, you know, this has been
going on since last June. Andso that was it. Then they came
back and they wanted X amount ofdollars from me, and I tried to
go. We went negotiated back andforth, and then they you know,
they wanted the highest that god atthe end was fifty five hundred. And

(38:34):
I told you, I told youto try try to negotiate a settlement and
get it over with because it's goingto keep going up every time the attorney
gets involved. What finally happened? What are you calling about today? Okay?
Today I'm calling about Okay. Sowe had the mediation and they I
offered them money. They refused it. I turned around and I called their

(38:59):
lawyer again and so I could givethem fourteen dollars. They refuse that.
I see goes, You're you're goingto have to go higher. I said,
look, I can do three thousanddollars. I've been waiting to hear
from them. This is why thecalls coming into you. I received a
letter yesterday in the mail. Nowthey're studying it for a court trial.

(39:20):
They're going to foreclothes on your house. Huh, they're going to take your
house. I want to get what. Yeah, that's why they're they're suing
that. It's called foreclosure. That'swhat it is. That doesn't what the
paper reads or anything. Okay, could you do me a favor and send

(39:43):
us that paper. I want toget our hoa guy on. What does
the paper say? Dear? Readthat for me? Oh okay, let
me grab it. You just holdon a second. I'm going to come
back to you, and we're alsogoing to get our guy on. So
hold on all right. Just don'tdon't go anywhere, okay. Kevin Caulkin
Rod Greer Car day today. Unusedcars yet? Oh okay, you're right.

(40:09):
I should have looked at the monoTrump. So sorry, Kevin.
On timing change, I'm getting callsabout timing not necessarily change belts. Okay.
So many people now are buying carswith mileage Okay they are What do
you do? I recommend? Firstof all, there are some cars that

(40:30):
don't require changing. There are somecars that do. All belts require a
change at some point, but notall change. Is that right? That's
correct? But some change? Dothey have a lifelong Do they have a
lifetime limit? Some of them, like chain will last as long as the
edgine lasts. So when you havea chain, there is no interval.

(40:51):
No, But with a belt thereis an interval, definitely, yes.
But with a belt you can havean interferre engine or a non interference engines.
Right, most are interference engines.Okay, most so if you have
a belt, and if you buya car with high mileage, it's imperative
that you know, yeah about this? Yeah, at least somebody wanted somebody

(41:15):
ask me what do I do?In other words, what do they do?
I mean? What if they don'tknow, Well, you can look
and you can tell. Can youtell by looking? Well, if it's
new, you can tell, Imean, and if it's really really deteriorating,
you can tell that in between ishow huge? You can actually look
at the timing belt and tell ifit's wearing out. You can on both

(41:37):
extremes. When it's in the middle, you can't, so you almost have
to change it to be safe.If there is no record, do you
look up the model and see whatis recommended and if it's over that you
recommend them doing it. Yes,if we can't determine you know that it
definitely needs to be done or it'sdefinitely good, then we would recommend they

(41:57):
change. Now is it safe tosay all? Then timing belts have intervals,
absolutely okay. And if you don'thit that interval and you have an
interference engine and explain what's can explain, you can go the extreme. I
mean what happens is a piston whena belt breaks, the piston will hit
the open valve, so as thepiston comes up because the pistons are moving
and the valves are not when thebelt breaks, so you can you know

(42:21):
destroy you you can ruin the entiremotor at the extreme, I've seen it
where they break the valves off andget into the motor and destroy it,
or you can you know, ruinthe head. Either way, it's very
expensive, A lot cheaper detains abelt than the head or a motor.
How much does it cost to dothough? At a timing belt. You
know, most cars are anywhere betweensay eight and fourteen hundred something in that

(42:45):
range. That includes a water pump, pulleys, everything. You gotta do
it all. Somebody else wants toknow if let me see, I can't.
I can't make up what they're actuallytrying to say. And you guys
can text me five seven seventy threenine on the on the belt. Nope,
I can't. No, that's notit's about a timing chain. Never

(43:07):
mind. I'll read that later becauseit has something to do with what we're
talking about. But I don't havetime to read through all the it's a
really long paragraph, so I'll comeback to you. Three l three seven
one three talks seven to one threeeight two. Now listen on on these
timing belts. By the way,we're talking about an interference mens, meaning

(43:28):
it has to be timed perfectly orthings crash into each other inside the engine
and it's catastrophic. So it's reallyreally important that you know that. And
again that is something that when youbuy used car. I think the I
think the earliest interval is probably sixtythousand miles, right, yeah, somewhere

(43:51):
sixty seventy thousand yep, and thenthey go up to ninety five thousand.
Right now, I've seen them upto ninety five to one hundred. Yeah,
okay three three seven one, threeeight two five y five. Now

five five. Welcome to the show. Now, did we get We're waiting
for our ho A guy to talkabout this situation, and I also want
her to read what she has there. She said, they're suing her.

(45:45):
Now, this thing got way outof hand, way way out of hand
for just landscaping her patch. Andthen she stopped, she said, and
she says that they do they haveproof that you you know, they're finding
you do they have proof that youkept doing it? They I've never seen

(46:05):
any proof at all of anything. What do you say they falsely accused you
of? Now, for those listening, Connie's being sued by her town home.
What basically she used to do waslandscape a little swath outside her place.
Yeah, and they told her tostop. Is that it in a
nutshell? Yeah? And you stopped? Yeah? Yeah? Well and then

(46:31):
what as I stated, yeah,in the beginning, they took me to
that hearing and they accuse me ofkilling the grass by raking it, harassing
one of the people that I've knownhere for five years as a friend,
by harassing her with phone calls. And the third one was that I fertilized

(46:52):
the grass out front. I didnot do any of those three things.
Yeah, none, Okay. Thenthey started with the with the paper coming
saying I didn't see some just this. I raked up some pine needles.
I did break up some pine needles. I told Jane about it. Who's
the VP? And by raking thepine needles? Where did the find come

(47:15):
from? The fine came from thefirst events what they told me at that
hearing, And then they just keptadding to it, Yeah, adding to
it. When did you first Whendid you first call us? Oh?
God, it's probably October. Yeah, that's after I went to that hearing

(47:37):
October. Gosh, this is sad. This is sad. No, I'm
serious. I really do feel foryou this. And what I want to
know is what does the law Iasked you to get that lawsuit? What
does it actually say? I mean, how much? How much is it?
Right now? What did they whatdo they want from you? The

(47:59):
last number they wanted from me wasninety three hundred for his lawyer costs plus
wait wait wait but in addition tothe lawyer Wait a minute, plus,
they want the original fine? Whatwas the original fine? Well, it
went up to five point fifty. So the most it ever got was five

(48:20):
hundred and fifty dollars, and thenit went up from there to I'm trying
to think there was another number ofthe then it went to fifty five hundred,
and then I just it just keptgoing up and up and up because
I wouldn't pay, you know,we just kept negotiating back and forth and

(48:43):
each time. So the last oneis ninety three hundred dollars. Yeah,
for their lawyer fees. He toldme that on phone. Ninety three hundred
dollars. He goes, Yeah, that's my lawyer fee. I can't do
that. That's a I can offerthem. I said, all offer them
fourteen hundreds. You know, that'swhat I can do. Okay, But

(49:06):
hold on a second, Hold ona second. This is this is terrible.
May I ask you something. Howmuch do you owe your house right
now? I'm probably all about fortytwo? And what is it worth?
What is it worth? Probably fourhundred? How how old are you unch

(49:30):
seventy one? And and what's yourinterest rate? Four here. I you
may not like this, but I'mgoing to tell you something right now.
You're going to the lawsuit. They'regonna win, Okay, I think they're

(49:51):
gonna win. You're gonna have tohire an attorney. You can't do this
alone because even if you're in theright, and I think you are,
and I think if you pushed him, they couldn't prove. But here's the
problem. If you if you fightthem, you have to hire an attorney,
which is going to cost you probablynine to ten grand. Okay,

(50:14):
right, so even if you win, you break even. So I don't
know what I think what you needto do is pay it first, get
it off the books, keep itfrom accruing. Because every time, every
single time, like with this lawsuit, how much is the lawsuit asking for

(50:37):
right now, right now? Standsup? Ninety three hundred in that letter?
Wait, in that letter, it'sninety three hundred. He didn't give
me a there's nothing that all thisletter says. It's a notice. Read
it that court trial by telephone when, and it says to do please take

(50:58):
notice that plaintiff Chambers Townhouse Association willtelephone the clerk of a Wrapo County Court
on Tuesday, April eleventh, twentytwo am, or as soon thereafter as
counsel can be heard, to setthe matter for a half day court trial.
You're gonna have a huge lean onthat house. Yeah, here's what

(51:22):
I would do I would get.I know you're not gonna like to hear
this, but I think it's anexcellent idea. You you right now could
easily, easily, easily, ifyour town home is worth four hundred,
you could easily get a reverse mortgageeasily, a cheap one, a little

(51:42):
one to pay off the mortgage youhave and pay off that lean. Once
you do that, I want youto know something you do. You're seventy
something years old. You never haveto make a payment on that loan.
You just have to pay for yourease. And she could get one that
quick because if she no, Ithink if they know she's getting one,

(52:04):
yeah, I think I would callthem for her. But if she can
get a reverse loan, and Ican hook you up with the guy to
do it, and that reverse loan, I don't know if you have any
other bills? Are you in?Like, do you have any other bills
or problems with money right now?Okay, if you want, you can

(52:27):
probably at your age you can probablyget I know for sure you can get
let's say one hundred and sixty thousand. You don't want that much. But
no, Now hold on, butyou can get Listen, this is really
important. You can get a lineof credit. I would get a maximum

(52:51):
line of credit. Now there's areason I'm telling you this. On that
maximum line of credit, that doesn'tmean you pay interest on it. You
do not. You only pay onwhat you take. So your immediate draw
on your line of credit, let'ssay you have a line of credit of
one hundred and sixty thousand. Let'sjust say that you would pay your forty

(53:14):
one thousand dollars off on your mortgage. Now you have no more mortgage payment,
and you would pay the lean onthe town home done. Now,
once that's done, that other moneyin there, which would be about let's
just say one hundred thousand you gotleft. You'll have a little more than
that, but let's say you haveone hundred thousand left. That's a line

(53:37):
of credit. You don't pay adime to have that on your home.
But it's there for an emergency. So if you ever run into another problem,
you write a check. It's literallythat easy. Now here's the other
thing, and you got to keepthis in mind. Where it benefits you
is once you put a reverse loanon that house. Even if you own

(54:00):
have a line of credit of onefifty or one sixty, it shows as
a one hundred twenty five percent leanon your property. Do you know what
that means? Yeah? I do. Yeah. So that means that when
someone including Hoa's, look at yourproperty, what do they say, Yeah,

(54:22):
just already lean. They see noleg they no uh equity. So
if somebody wants to come after you, there's nothing there. It's I think
it's brilliant. Now listen, I'mserious when I tell you this. If
you want one of our people onthe referral list to talk to you about
this, I'm not trying to forceyou into this. I'm saying you're going

(54:45):
to lose your home. No,oh have you? Do you? Is
there a reason you wouldn't do areverse loan? I can see no disadvantage
to you unless you have an airYou wanted to leave all of this equity
to. That's who I wanted toleave it to. With my family,
my daughter. You still can becausehere's why. Let me explain this.

(55:08):
You're not going to have anything toleave to her if they take your home.
Do you have any other way toget your ninety three hundred bucks.
Yes I do, Oh you do? How? Yes, we do?
How I was saving? Then thenyou can do that. But you know
what a reverse loan. Now,I'm not like I said, if you

(55:30):
don't need it, don't do it. But a reverse loan would still here's
what would happen. The interest fora crew agranst your house and if you
live a long, long, long, long time and it went beyond the
value of your home, then youwould have nothing to leave your daughter,
But she wouldn't be left with debteither. No one would ever be left
with debt. But if the housecontinues to a praise and you die at

(55:53):
a normal age, she can payoff the loan and sell it. But
I'm not telling you to do it. If you don't want to do it,
don't do it. But you gotto pay this lean. I'm telling
you that right now. You gotto pay it. You can fight it
after you pay it. Do youunderstand that? Okay, as long as
you don't sign any great long settlementsaying you'll never come back after them for

(56:16):
it, But you need to makea settlement. I swear to God you're
in trouble if you don't make asettlement. And it would even be worth
getting Brad O'Brien O'Brien legal services tohelp you write up the settlement and make
them payment, even if he costsyou a thousand bucks. I swear to
God, you need to get thisdone, dear. Then then then then

(56:37):
then then we can talk about maybegoing back after them. But at least
it's not going to keep ticking up. Do you understand that? Right?
I understand, and I just Ijust I am bout mentally all right,
I'm toring my gill. I believeyou, but this is not going to

(57:01):
get better. I know it is, And I just don't know why they
don't stop. It's because they are, because they're heartless a holes. What
can I tell you? Yeah,I look at I do believe they're exaggerating.
And there's no way you did thatmuch harm that these people had to

(57:22):
find you that much money. Butthe first fine was how much didn't walk
It was like twenty five, andthen it went to fifty. Then it
went to two fifty or five fifty. Yeah, now it's ten thousand dollars.

You know when you hear that goingon with Hoa's, once the fine

(59:00):
starts, it can be one hundredbucks. We've had people start out with
one hundred dollars and end up attwenty thousand. Hoa's don't care management companies
don't care why. They simply addthe fees to what you owe. And

(59:23):
as soon as you start fighting, you're looking at three grand, then five,
and in this case, near ten, she will lose her town home.
I still want to talk when wecan get a hold of them,

Three two five five, I mean, excuse me, three oh three us
Oh never mind eight four sixty six, three oh three sixty seven eighty four

Oh it's pretty way. It's abrand new building or brand new to you
in a brand new building? Ohcool? How long you've been in there?
Well, when I moved in twoweeks December the twenty second, I

(01:00:32):
mean the fourteenth, and two weekslater I got blooded out and I was
displaced. After that, Wait aminute, and then you moved into a
brand new building December fourteenth and beendisplaced since then or just for a few
weeks after No, it was threemonths after I moved in I got displaced

(01:00:53):
out. Okay, you were displaced. Okay, you were displaced in December?
Yes, okay, But what hashappened here is since I've been here
moved back in, I kept smellinga strange odor coming through the vent.
When did you move back in dereMarch of twenty three? Okay? And

(01:01:20):
what caused the flooding? They didn'thave the installation. It was something had
something to do with the sprinkless systemand that flooded the hole. So you
just moved back I get you.So you just moved back in March.
And what's going on now? Ikeep getting the strange oldor coming through the

(01:01:43):
vent? What kind of odor?Is it? Like a musty water odor?
Deer, It's not a musty waterolder. It's more like I smelt
like a urine smell. Oh andnow I've got now listen, yello,
how many how many units are there? Are there? I mean obviously other

(01:02:04):
people were also put out? Right, Oh yeah, it was about ten
of us. Did you ask anyof your neighbors if they have the same
problem? No one has this problem. But me, Now, I'm on
the ground floor, and is itcoming out of the heating and air vents

(01:02:25):
or is it the carpet or whereis it? I'm coming from behind the
backslash of my wall in the kitchen. How do you know that? Because
you could see it, and Ihad someone pure maintenance come out and they
effected. But they want me tohave the air vested now because I had

(01:02:49):
been getting sick behind this situation. And I still I clean it and it
comes right back. What do youmean? What what do you clean?
Please? I clean the back ofthe wall where the glittery arkles are on
my h in the kitchen. Now, people come in, when these people,

(01:03:10):
did any of maintenance men or maintenancewomen ever come in and ever smell
or or witness it. They're notgonna I'm gonna say this. The manager
has already labeled me as a negativeperson. But did they Is the smell

(01:03:30):
only in your kitchen? In mywhole unit? Okay? And it's all
over my unit's during the night time. Listen when you say the vent,
is there one vent that's coming outof Oh, it's coming through all of
the events in my apartment. Now, where is don't give me your exact

(01:03:52):
address. Where are you located.I'm in Centennial. I would love somebody
to see if they smell what yousmell, and then we can and then
we could tell the management. Listen, this is a problem. No one
else smells it though, right,Oh, so far they haven't they?

(01:04:16):
Well you wait, let me askyou something about your heating and air system.
Does each unit have its own heatingand air system? Or is it
centralized and each unit has their own? Did yours get replaced with the flood?
I don't know what they did withthat. Is this a rental or

(01:04:39):
an ownership? This is a ohliving No, I get it, I
get it. So is it subsidized? Yes? So they say to you,
they don't. They don't believe you. In other words, but I'm

deal where a guy went to Bridgestoneor no Firestone. I thought it was

(01:10:15):
which one was a Chopper, wasn'tit Firestone? And uh Bridgestone olds Firestone?
Oh, I didn't know that anyway, he bought four times, he
bought far tires and one went flat. He went to get that replaced and
the same day the tire the wheelfell off, the hub and disc.

(01:10:41):
I mean, it was terrible, did a lot of damage. They took
responsibility, but it took a lotof nudging. Finally he got a settlement
for his car. But or theyoffered a settlement, But how much is
that? They only offer go ahead? They at first they only offered thirty

(01:11:01):
nine hundreds. But I told him, hey asked for the car and they
they did it for the same price. Yeah, he got thirty nine hundred
and the car and he's going tohave the car fixed because that's his baby.
Do you think he can fix it. For that, I don't know.

(01:11:27):
You have to ask Kevin. Ithis yeah, unfortunate. Well,
let's put it this way. It'sone of those things that, yeah,
if you can't fix it, hecan't fix it. And they certainly don't
owe anything more than the value. But what do you think, Kevin?
And what do you guys? Whatdo you think? Rodney JFR cars?
Rodney's a car salesman, cars dealer. What was that? Wait, super

(01:11:49):
root. It's an O nine Forsterwith one hundred and sixty thousand miles and
I think that car's probably worth, you know, just between eight seven,
eight nine thousand dollars, So Idon't know why he only got three grand
for it. Are you kidding me? It's a little bit less than that,
but it's still a super rue andthat's probably what you're thinking of.

(01:12:09):
I think they hold their value. They're good cars, but it's probably you
know, under it's probably about seventhousand dollars, But he said one hundred
and thirty eight thousand miles out onehundred and sixty oh, one hundred and
sixty that's what I think. Thatstill, so it's definitely even though that
he got to keep the salvage.Let's say the salvage is worth two grand,

(01:12:30):
and he got another thirty one orthirty something hundred, right, tarre
I wrote it down a thirty ninehundred, so thirty nine forty nine fifty
nine, so he's right out aboutprobably six thousand. Don't you think that
salvage would be worth two grand?Right? That's true, that's true.

(01:12:51):
Yeah, I think he did prettygood with one hundred and sixty. But
it's hard to find any bad. It's hard to find any all little drive
cars from under five grands. Bythe way. By the way, my
deputy chat GPT says that that forestercan vary, but based on recent listings

(01:13:14):
and sales, they go from fortythree hundred to seventy four hundred. So
he's right in there. He's rightin there. Thank you, Chopper.
That's really cool. You're working onanything else? And by the way,
let me give me my dinger again. Okay, what else you're working on?

(01:13:36):
I'm working on two more than I'mgoing to give you next week,
and you're going to get dingers onthese. Wow, I can always use
you know, try to space mydinger out a little because you know,
sometime. I mean, there's twothings going on here. If you don't
use it, you lose it.But there's another thing. If you overuse
it, you abuse it. SoI can get you some medication for your

(01:13:58):
dinger. Thank you, thank you. I think right now it's sounding pretty
healthy. So that's all I haveto go on and remember this if ever
we have a success here, it'stime for the dinger. Okay? Three
oh three seven one three talk sevenone three eight two five five Warren?

(01:14:21):
Is it Warren? Or wherein it'sthere's Did you spell that wrong? Or
is it is that? It's right? W A R A M. How
do you pronounce it? Warren?Oh? Okay, So what's going on?
What's going on? Warren? Withthe wrong spelling? Uh? You
guys recommended somebody that are not onyour referral list, Allen Services. You'd

(01:14:45):
remember them once in a while. We we recommend people when there's not someone
around that we know and love. What was this for? Heater air conditioning
in my home? But where? What where are you located? I'm in
Greeley, Colorado, that's right, they got. What happened was somebody called

(01:15:06):
up and said this is a greatcompany. They all happened. Well,
the guy came out, did theinspection, did it looked at everything?
It's my My furnace is nineteen yearsold, so it's a furnace AC.
It definitely was leaking. So yougot a new one, right, I

(01:15:29):
do. And they're having a fortypercent off sale right now. Uh.
And I also got a new waterheater combined with everything. Now, hold
on a second, you wanna seeeverything. Did you get a normal furnace
or is this a boiler? It'sa normal furnace, okay. And what
did you pay for the for Whatdid you pay for the furnace? Air

(01:15:50):
combo? Uh? I don't know, because well I do. I can
sell the water heater too, isin there? Okay? What did you
pay for the water heater, theAC and the furnace all in all in
everything? Uh? Fourteen thousand okay, okay, that is not bad.

(01:16:13):
What kind of AC furnace is that? That's a pain? They had a
ream or I can't remember or no, no, no, but tell me
tell me what the efficiency is.Is it a modulating ninety percent or what
it's? What are they? Whatdid he said? Eighty percent? But
it's the Okay, So the oneI have now is either on or off.

(01:16:35):
This is a variable one. Okay, no, that's good. But
it's eighty percent, right? Yeah? Is that good? I did?
I do? Okay, it's okay, an eighty percent modulator. And then
the AC. Do you know howbigger AC is? I don't remember wattage
wise, but not wattage wise BTUsman, I didn't have to look at

(01:16:59):
my pain. I will tell youthis, okay. The water heater,
let me just put let me explainthis to you. You on the market,
you did really well in the marketright now. Okay, I'm not
telling you it's a great price.I'm telling you you're you know, you're
not going to get something cheap, cheap, cheap, But no, I
know, I find it a littlehard to believe that that's forty percent off.

(01:17:20):
But I'm not gonna dissm on it, you know, because they did
a good job and you like it, and what counts is it's right in
there with the regular pricing. Butwhat I'm thinking is I am thinking that
the water heater, what size isit? Forty gallon? Mm hmm,

(01:17:41):
So the water heaters range, ofcourse, you know you're all plumbing Colorado
Dot net does it for that sizefor thirteen ninety nine, but no one
else does, so you can't blamethem that that water heater is probably they're
probably figuring the water heater at whatthirty eight hundred? No, it was

(01:18:02):
twenty two I believe twenty two hundred. Okay? Yeah, did you just
say you paid how much for allof it? All? Three? Fourteen
thousand? Okay? Fourteen? Thenif you do fourteen, I'm just trying
to figure out something minus twenty twohundred and twenty two hundred isn't bad.

(01:18:25):
It isn't bad at all. Sonow you're looking at eleven eight for a
furnace AC that's fine, okay,Yeah, yeah, that's not bad.
Okay, it really isn't in today'smarket. However, however, I don't
believe that it is forty percent off. Yeah I don't know, but they

(01:18:47):
shied me. Some regular price wouldhave been. No. They're saying,
no, no, to be forthat to be forty percent off if you
do the math? Am I doingthe math? Right? I mean twenty
nine thousand. If they say fortypercent off, let me just see something.
Hold on, yeah, yeah, they're saying it's about twenty not twenty

(01:19:09):
nine, but twenty they're saying thatit's about it's almost half off. They're
saying, now you got twenty thewater heater is included in that, so
you got to subtract the twenty twohundred or whatever that. No, No,
you just said, I'm going bywhat they said. I'm talking about
the ten eight. They paid teneight for the furnace and air, and

(01:19:33):
they're saying it's forty percent off. That's what they're saying. Okay, So
I just think that that's I don'tthink it is of that. I mean
that part I don't believe. Butthe normal pricing wasn't bad. Yeah,
so just do with it what youwant. You did a good deal.

(01:19:55):
I wouldn't feel ripped off at all. Ron's got a question on top Ron's
got a question on toime diming belts. Thank you Warren for calling Ron.
What's going on? Both seventy withforty eight thousand miles on it? So
I'm just wanting to try to beconcerned about a timing belt with a lot
how many miles on it? Fortyeight? What year is it? Yeah?

(01:20:19):
What year twenty thirteen? Does itgo by? Time? And miles?
Well to a certain extent. Yeah, it has to go by time
as well. Uh, you know, it can certainly be inspected and you
can see the belt and see ifit's deteriorated beyond any reasonable But yeah,

(01:20:39):
I would say ten years would beabout max on them. Okay, So
it is time to do it,especially in this climate. You know,
it's so dry, the rubber itselfwill start to deteriorate just from lack of
moisture. And that is that isan interference engine. Yep. Is it

(01:21:00):
definitely a belt rather than the timechange that I don't know. I'd have
to look. Yeah, a lotof bullbos had changed, but at least
some some had belts. Yeah,it's a it's a belt, it is,
okay, Okay, So anyway,I just think thank you, okay,
thank you. Now, I justthink that the other going back to

(01:21:25):
the other furnace thing, I don'tthat definitely wasn't forty percent off on a
furnace on that furnace. Just soyou know, I'm not saying it's a
bad deal, but it was.I don't like when they say we got
a forty percent deal off, youknow. Now, speaking of volvls,
we have another volvil question. Believeit or not, we'll do that right
after this. I'm Tom Martino threeoh three seven to one three Talk three

Tom Martino here threeo three seven onethree Talk three oh three seven one three
eight two five five. So Andrew, let's talk about selling a two tho
or buying a twenty nineteen x VolvoXC ninety. So what's going on with
it? Yes, sir, soI Furst. It's a vehicle, great

(01:23:18):
vehicle, beautiful vehicle, no problems, right, you know what. I've
never heard a Volvo owner not likingtheir car, Honest to goodness, I've
never heard one. Now, Iwant to ask you something, guys,
I want to ask you something inthis studio. Who is I mean it's

(01:23:40):
actually not who is? But isthis one of the reliable brands? I
think Balba makes a great car. They do. They're not a bucket of
oil leagues. They're on the market. No, nobody's ever died in the
XC ninety. Jeez, they're cool. What about it? What do you
need? How many miles you goton it? It is thirty seven?

(01:24:03):
Are you looking for a market value? No, I'm not looking for a
market value. I'm looking I purchasedthe vehicle how much? And I paid
about forty grand, which is amazing, Well, actually a little high.
Here's what's going on. The vehiclewas presented to me as in zero accidents,

(01:24:30):
zero damage, and then how wasit presented to you that way?
That was through their report at thedealer. What oh oh, so wait
you got it in writing correct Carfax? What was it? It was not
Carfax, it was whatever car Maxuses. Okay, So what happened then?

(01:24:57):
Well? I took it to havethe windows tenant and under the lights,
the gentleman's like, why was thehood be sprayed? And I said,
I have no idea, And thenunder his lights I can clearly see
there was This was not factory paint. Okay. So then I go back

(01:25:20):
to CarMax obviously and asked him what'sgoing on, and they said, oh,
they'll investigate and they'll call you back. That was two days ago,
no calls. When did you actuallybuy it? I bought this in January
and I did pull a Carfax andit does report damage. What does a

(01:25:44):
report on Carfax? It just saysvehicle damage, okay. It usually says
minor or major. It does not. It just okay. Also another a
couple other things. I mean,I'm sorry, Andrew, a couple other
things. Here is the weird party. They don't have to tell you about

(01:26:10):
damage, but they can't misrepresent iteither. So that's what's weird. They
could have kept their mouth shut, but instead they said, and on the
contract, I'm not talking about thisreport you got. But on the contract
does it say as is. It'sit as his car. But the gentleman
I spoke to it, Carmac said, oh, we do everything, we

(01:26:32):
do. Paints, we do,PDR we do. I'm looking find out.
No matter what he says off thecontract, the wording in the contract
says that that contract supersedes anything.I mean, if it's a standard contract,
what I'm getting at is. Butbut they gave you some kind of

(01:26:54):
a written report. You said.It was some kind of report that literally
said no damage history, right correct, Hey Tom, And they gave that
to you with the deal, right, yes, sir, Okay, so
jfr Cars Rodney was chiming, Rodney. I just want to ask a question.
First, I was told or whenI researched this and over the years,

(01:27:16):
as is means as represented, butyou got to prove how it was
represented. In other words, asis doesn't just mean like if someone writes
something saying the engine was rebuilt atten thousand miles ago, or you got
a re manufactured engine, and thenthey sell it as is. They can't

(01:27:44):
sell you a car with three hundredthousand miles on the engine if they represented
it had less. Yes, youwere buying it as is, but not
as lied about, but as represented. Go ahead, Rodney, what were
you going to say? They probablyused auto check. Auto check is another
form of car Facts, not thesame company. But we found that car

(01:28:09):
Facts may have a challenge on theinformation about the car, and you'll find
whatever it is that was not mentionedon Carfacts, auto check has it.
So one might report it, butthe other one may not. And that's
probably what you're into, and youkind of got in the middle of and

(01:28:30):
they may or may not have knownabout that. But I don't know how
the contract is written regarding that report. Is that report part of the contract
or do they or do they simplysay, by the way, here's the
report from car check, because they'renot obligated to check car check or to
check car Facts for its accuracy. Now, could you argue that they misled

(01:28:57):
you? I don't know. Ithink it's car Check that misled you.
He said it slipped through the cracks, which unfortunately, I don't think it's
fair. Well, it's not fair, it's not. But the question is
Andrew who misrepresented the card the dealerdoes. The dealer is not allowed to

(01:29:21):
lie about the car, but theydon't have to tell you squat about it.
Well, here's the deal. Ifthey were the one that repaired it,
which is what the dealership said,we do all this stuff, then
they did misleadly because they knew thatthey were the one that repaired the car.

(01:29:41):
And they will not really no,no Andrew unless that dealer told you
no. See, the dealer couldhave fixed it all day long. They
don't have to tell you they fixedit. They don't have to tell you
anything. But if they gave youthat report, the report said no damage
history, right, what was that? If it says that, does that

(01:30:01):
dealer guarantee that report? I meanthat dealer is not under an obligation to
tell you whether that report is trueor not unless it's part of the contract.
I don't know how it worked. On the surface, it looks tricky
to me. It looks like garbagebecause they have a report that said no
damage and they did the damage. Now, the other thing could be it

(01:30:24):
was very slight cosmetic damage. Imean, I don't know how bad.
How bad is it? Do youknow? No it's probably hail damage.
Well it was a paintless repair. No, they painted it right, Well,
they painted it, but they didn'tcolor sand or anything. So under
the factory lights, I mean itlooks terrible. I mean in the plain

(01:30:47):
daylight, yeah, it looks great. And did that deal or do the
report they did? I mean therepair, the repair, that's what they're
claiming they did. Yes, Okay, Well, in other words, best
fall though this deal or actually saidto you we fixed it. We do
that, we do the PDR.We do every Okay, got it,

(01:31:10):
we do it all the time. But they were supposed to call me back
two days ago and they've not calledme back. So something's worried here.
Okay. I don't think you have. I don't think do you want to
return the car? Oh? Ijust want him to color stand the hood
man? Okay, then you gotto did you tell them that? Yes,

(01:31:33):
that's not a big deal. Whatyou're saying is if they fixed it,
they should stand behind what they fixed. Correct. I'm in total agreement.
I want somebody to call over thereand talk to them, because I
agree with you, Katschina, who'slight on cases. We need someone to
call over there. Probably right now. Deputy Dollar could probably take it.

(01:32:00):
I want him to call over there, because he's not asking for the world.
He's saying, look, you soldit to me, said there was
no damage. Yet you guys yourselfdid some damage repair and you didn't do
it right. So just make itright. That's not unreasonable, Okay,
I agree with you. Hold onand let's see what we can do.

Yes, it was owned by alady husband owned a local plumbing Olsen Plumbing.

Guys, do you believe that itonly has forty seven thousand miles on
it? That's hard to believe, but it very well could be. I'm
more curious on what you paid forit than we can tell you if it's
worth throwing the money in it.I paid five hundred dollars for it and
I've got about nine Yeah, it'sworth putting the money in it. Yes,

in my opinion, Yes, whatdo you guys think? I'd almost
try to sell it as is andsee you know how much going to cost

can't cost that much. You're notlooking for a You're not looking for a

(01:36:28):
don't think somebody I don't know,man, I don't know. You know,
you ought to leave your numbers incase somebody calls. It's so they
they drove it less than twenty fivehundred miles a year. I find that
incredibly hard to believe. Right,so every month it would be it would
be only less than two hundred milesa month. Well, when they bought

(01:36:54):
it brand new, I went downand checked. They bought it it.
I think it was perfect Buick inColorado Springs. Why did you buy it?
Did you buy it to drive it? Or did you buy it to
sell it? I bought it becauseI love Buicks. Then painted and just

(01:37:17):
stay right, so smooth. Sookay, what's your other car? Which
one would be better? The oneyou drive currently or this ninety four Buick.
I'm having a big problem with that. What do you mean with that?
With what? I've got? Atwenty fifteen Buick? And what's wrong

(01:37:42):
with that? Not a dad gumthing? Okay, Well, what do
you mean when you have a problemwith that? What are you talking about?
Well, I've got five cars?Oh, do you have any you
can donate to my immigrant family?I'm retiring. If I donate something,

(01:38:03):
I don't get it. I wishI could Oh, no, no problem,
no problem, I understand. Yeah, I'm just looking for a car
for this one family. He's gota good job going. He can ensure
it and put a plate on it, and I need to get him a
car. Hey, Kachina, didyou get the number that one guy that
called in before with that Toyota orwhatever you have? Hey, Tom,

(01:38:26):
it's Susan. Now Kachina's out.I can check with her though. Yeah,
you know, sus do you rememberthat guy calling in saying I want
to fix the car and donate it. I'm sorry I don't, but I'll
ask her. I'll ask her.Yeah, I asked her to get his
name. So, Glenn, ouranswer is it's worth it. Your total
basis in that if you get acheap paint job that's all you need and

(01:38:48):
a windshield, your total basis withwhat you already put into that is going
to be what less than twenty fivehundred bucks three thousand dollars, for God's
sakes, for a running car withseven Go ahead? Yeah, I just
wanted to know what could I probablyask on it. Okay, once you

(01:39:11):
make that, are you going tomake those repairs or sell it as is?
Well? I'm trying to figure outshould I go ahead and put the
thousand to fifteen dollars into the paintjob and then try to do something,
or should I go ahead and tryto sell it without the paint job.
Oh, you want to get ridof it, then, So if you

(01:39:32):
want to get rid of it,don't. I wouldn't put it. I
wouldn't put another dime in it.I just set you're going to just get
that money back when you sell it. You're not going to make any more
on it. Yeah, what isyour honest opinion as to price? I'm
looking on Facebook right. I loveseeing what's out there, and there are

(01:39:53):
two to three thousand dollars. That'swhat I would think too, Just to
say, yeah, but only fortyon No, hold on, guys,
that's with only forty seven thousand mileson it. Yeah, it's still in
ninety four. No, no,but it's still in ninety four. There's

didn't forget about negligent referram. Markwent out. This woman called and said
she was flooded out of her newapartment for senior living and about ten people
were flooded out. They fixed everything, they moved back. She moved back
and said since she moved back, there is a terrible smell, terrible coming

(01:42:34):
out of her heating and cooling vents. And really, we really want to
help her if she had a problem, because she said, no one's listening
to her. So I said,Mark, well, let's at least go
out and visit Catherine, and hedid. That was really nice for you,
Mark, So no one knows whoCatherine is or anything. So let's
just lay it on the line.Did you smell anything? No, I

(01:42:55):
mean absolutely nothing. No. Again, Well, I want just so look,
I don't even want to tell Ihonestly, I tried to say this
in the text. I really don'twant to talk about it because I feel
extremely bad for she has issues thatwe are not going to be able to

(01:43:15):
help with whatsoever. I understand.I ironically enough, everyone I've gone out
to have the same issues. It'squite remarkable if you think about it,
Mark I went. I think ingeneral, and as I said, no
one knows her name and anything, her real name so or her dress.

(01:43:36):
But I don't want to make funof her obvious I never do when people
calling that I think they have mentalillness. But here's what I think.
I think, as you get oldand lonely, you start I don't know
what it is. I mean, even if you don't have a history of
mental illness, I think you havemaybe a little history of some weirdness here

(01:43:57):
or there. And then you startimagine anythings, plots, conspiracies. Well,
and then certain people see things aswell. Did this woman see things?
Yes? Like what just different things? Man? I mean I once
again there was stuff on them again, Mark, there was stuff on the

(01:44:18):
wall that most likely was just alittle bit of grease splatter or something right
behind the stove, and it wasa chemical that was put there by possibly
a meth dealer. I mean,it's I don't know how I can go
as deep as you want. No, No, that's okay, It's just
how did you leave it with her? Though? That did you? You're

(01:44:40):
going to be reaching out to herbrother. I just wanted to know if
you honestly told her, Hey,you know, we don't smell it.
Yes, I did tell her that, and she wanted to know what was
next, and I said, I'llgo back and discuss with Tom. Okay.
You know, Mark, when peoplehave called the show before, I
know you said we shouldn't get heron the air, and I mean,
obviously we shouldn't get on there forridicule. But whenever people like that have

(01:45:04):
called this show, I have talkedthem into getting some count Well, they
say they're going to get counseling.I don't know if they do. But
now she's just in a different world, man, I mean, she really
is. You mean, like almosttoo far. I'm afraid she's going to
end up getting kicked out because she'scalling every day. The place is immaculate.
By the way, it's spotless, spotless. The last time I went

(01:45:27):
to a spotless house like that, the woman picked up a small jar,
like a mason jar, and showedme a couple of carpet fibers, and
she thought they were some weird insectthat infested. But you could have eaten
off the floor in the place. It was absolutely spotless. And that same
woman showed me a box next toher bed that had a book in it,

(01:45:47):
one single book, and yet ratslived in it. And she saw
them and jumped up. And whatthe hell am I going to do?
Okay, now, my let's goback to Mike, who said, listen
to this one mark you were out, I want you to. And I
don't know if you heard this, but it's very interesting. A real estate

(01:46:09):
broker recommended a contractor to him whodid a lousy job, maybe damages,
who knows. Mike looked up somethingcalled negligent referral. And by the way,
there's no law on that. There'sonly court precedent, which is considered
a common law. And I willtell you, Mike that to sue your
real estate broker for a negligent referral. And I told you the reason I

(01:46:34):
know about this is because I starteda referral list before anybody started a list,
and it's actually called a referral list. And I studied the law along.
Of course, my attorney did theactual law. But there's what's called
the duty of care. Did thebroker have a duty of care to you?

(01:47:00):
In other words, in his contractwith you? Was there a duty
of care? I think you couldsay yes, I think there is a
duty of care. Because they're trustingyou With me, there's less of a
duty of care, but there issomewhat of a duty of care. Wouldn't
the realtor that referred this person inorder to go after some form of negligent

(01:47:21):
referral have to have known that itwould be a bad job set up.
We're getting to that good point, but I want to say this. This
is not legal advice. I'm tellingyou about court precedence that I researched,
and some of it was for myselfmany many years ago, and there have
been some cases since then. Thenthere has to be a breach of duty.

(01:47:46):
A breach of duty doesn't even comein unless there is a duty.
So was he paid for the referral. I don't mean by the contractor,
although that comes into it too,but by you. No, he wasn't.
No, But here's the other thing. There still is somewhat of a
duty to act in your best interestbecause he is a fiduciary. If he's

(01:48:12):
a buyer's agent. You didn't sayif he was a buyer's agent, is
he it is? Yes, Okay, then there is somewhat a fiduciary responsibility.
But then here's the other thing. He had to have had a track
record of doing this, or atleast knew the guy was bad, as
Mark was saying, he has tohave some knowledge. You don't make a

(01:48:34):
negligent referral if you honestly think someoneis good now, or have reason to
think he's good now. If youhave you really and truly it comes down
to that more than anything. Therewas no intent to defraud. What's negligent
about it? Now? If hejust met the guy and said, oh
man, I've known this guy forforty years. See, so there's all

(01:48:57):
kinds of breach of duty, thenthere's causation. You have to show that
it is the recommendation that caused thedamages. Well, what do I mean
by that, Well, that ifyou had an opportunity to look at this
contractor's where it find referrals, ifyou did no due diligence at all and

(01:49:20):
simply relied on the contractor, wasthat I mean, excuse me on the
broker? Was that reasonable of youto do that? Or did you have
any kind of an obligation to lookat what he recommended? That the next
thing, and that's a good see. And that's what I do. I

(01:49:41):
have several people on the list andI tell people to shop, and I
tell them nothing's perfect, blah blahblah, and what the recourse is?
So what are the damages? That'sthe big thing. Okay, you have
to have damages. So the longand short of unless you have massive,

(01:50:02):
massive damages, you're not going toget anything. Tell me what the damages
are and why you're not going afterthe contractor directly. Well, first of
all, we are going after thecontractor directly, and it's hundreds of thousands
of dollars. And then tell mewhat the contractor did. It was fest

(01:50:23):
of materials and fest of money. So we had we had bought an investment
property and then we had gone throughseveral contractors, none of them seemed to
fit the bill. And then theagent had someone who was they had just
hired at their own home and theysaid, well, hey, here's this
guy. Maybe maybe he'll work out. And then the brokerage house had their

(01:50:45):
own referral program, so we thoughtthis was a vetted, you know,
well researched contractor. But wait aminute, wait, you said two different
things. You said the guy,the agent said, try this guy,
it may work out, and thenyou said the broker's where he works has
a referral program. So which onewas it? Well, it's both.

(01:51:06):
We thought that perhaps the contractor camethrough the vetted refral. What you thought
did he tell you it did?Well, wait a minute, man,
If this guy said I got thisguy working at my house and he may
do a good job, that's whatyou just told me. What I want
to know is did he say thisis part of our referral program or did
you just assume that we just assumed? Okay, do you let me ask

(01:51:30):
you. Do you think you havea strong case against this guy? I
honestly, well I think against thecontractor. Yes, But yeah, Bob
Jackson, do you think this brokerdo you think this broker knew this guy
was a bad guy. You don'treasonably No, I don't believe that.
They don't think. I don't thinkyou're going to even get through deposition.

(01:51:51):
But I want to ask you anotherthing. This contractor, did you call
the police or the district attorney ifhe actually stole us? Yes, that's
that's part of it. We havea civil and criminal complaint. Good.
Now, did you hire an attorney? Yes? Who'd you hire? Well?

(01:52:15):
I don't want to say. Okay, it's public record when you sue,
but in any case, let meask you this. Then, the
attorney you hired, how do youknow they know how to do this case?
Just referrals and track record and researchof their case history. I'm confident

(01:52:35):
that they know what they're doing. Is his first name Scott? No,
but we're invoking the Contractors Trust Act? Well, of course you are.
But if his name isn't Scott, you don't have the best one. But
okay, okay, okay, hasthis Has this attorney actually handled contract or

(01:53:00):
trust problems? Yeah? Several times? Excellent with a favorable outcome? Excellent?
You know that very seldom you getattorneys fees, right, we do.
We're asking for it, but weknow that it's not a guarantee.
And next does the person even havesubstance? Fortunately they do. Oh,

(01:53:30):
do you want to warn us aboutthe contractor? We always talk about that.
Not at this point. I willcertainly do so, but I don't
want to warn him and then theydo something. But when was the last
time he was on the job.Oh, about a year and a half
ago. Okay, you did fileright, absolutely, We've been litigating for

(01:53:55):
almost two years so, oh mygoodness, Holy crap y. So how
is it going. Did you dodepositions? Well, we've had a bad
attorney, so we switched attorney. So it's just taken a while. But
we're about to get to depositions andwe had some. We're doing a second
round. How much have you spent? Quite a bit, probably fifty thousand

(01:54:18):
at least. So, man,I hope you come out. I want
you to keep us informed on this. Yeah. I mean I learned quite
a bit listen to you over theyears, which has helped. So I

(01:55:53):
Monty Monty, what's going on?Hey, Hey Tom, hey man?
What's that? I was well?I was recently fired from my job.
I went and applied for unemployment andthey came back saying that it was from

(01:56:13):
alcohol use. Well, if you'refired for cause, if you're fired for
cause, many times I was goingto say, you you don't get unemployment,
but you could possibly without if itwas truly alcohol and you're a professed
alcoholic and it's a it's considered adisability. They can't fire you for that.
You just got to fight it tothe next level. Man, I

(01:56:36):
mean, it doesn't matter if youbut I don't know what happened anyway,
what happened was it alcohol use orare they lying? They're lying? And
then I guess my basic question wouldbe we had the we had a meeting
where they demoted me, and Iwould wondering if I would be able to

(01:57:00):
compel them to have transcripts of themeeting. But why I would prove that
because they didn't. Alcohol was nevereven brought up to me about this.
It was they demoted me, andI for what? Rea, Why did
they demote you? I had theweek before had told my manager I didn't

(01:57:24):
feel good. She sent me home, and they said, well, we
have to have a meeting about this. So a week later I go into
the meeting and they say, well, we're demoting you because we just don't
feel comfortable with you down there byyourself. And I said, okay,
fine, and I stormed out ofthe meeting. But under the premise said

(01:57:49):
I was on the schedule to underthe demotion. I showed up to my
shift the next morning and they said, you've been crossed off the schedule.
Were okay, now they can fireyou. And it doesn't sound like they
even had to give a reason whenyou stormed out. Did you leave work?

(01:58:14):
Well, I left the meeting.Did you leave work that day,
well, it was it was ameeting outside of work. But I understanding
in the meeting as wet in themeeting, we had said, okay,
you you come into your you workyour shift tomorrow morning, your next shift
tomorrow morning, and then the nextweek you're going to be on room trace

(01:58:39):
with the the motion part. Andlike what, I here's what I don't
understand. Okay, why they gaveyou a reason at all? Is it
to deny unemployment benefits? Is thatthe only reason? Maybe? Are they
They obviously didn't have a reason tofire you, that's what But that that's
what you're fighting. I mean,obviously I don't even know why they went

(01:59:01):
there with alcohol. Why didn't theysay he was belligerent. They could have
said almost anything right, right,And that's what I'm so it still shouldn't
be any issue. They're just denyingthe claim. You need to bring it
to the next level. Well, well I got denied, so I did

(01:59:24):
do it in a pill. ButI'm waiting on that. Yeah, you'll
probably get it. To be honest, we've had thieves get it. I
mean, it's almost fast guy forthe same thing, and they gave it
to him because I couldn't prove hewas drinking. Right. I fired a
guy for drinking, George Suzanne, remember him at Peoria. I caught him
drinking, literally in the middle ofthe day in my shop. I fired

(01:59:45):
him and he ended up getting unemployed. I was helping. I was trying
to help a gentleman named Monty backin February on an unemployment claim with our
angel. You're not the same Monty, I assume I don't believe. So,
okay, okay, gotcha. Here'sthe bottom line, Okay, Monty,

(02:00:06):
here's the bottom line. They haveto prove their case. I would
say I'd venture to say ninety eightpercent of the time employees get unemployment unless
you're shooting up or cooking meth infront of the boss and all the major
customers of the company and then postit on social media. You probably aren't

(02:00:29):
going to get your benefit. Well, they've already declined it, though,
No, you didn't understand it.You appeal it, well, okay,
but yeah, I just feel like, why, what's going to be different
on the hill? Then you know, they go back to the employer and
they've got to prove it, andI'll tell you something else. It sounds
a little weird to me over thiswhole thing. We had a neighbor.

(02:00:51):
His name was Archie, literally theguy next door. He'd go on binges
for three or four days. Hislittle kids would show up at our front
door, five and six years old, knocking on our door. I'd end
up going over there, getting themdressed, getting him on the bus at
the bus stop, because dad waspassed out drunk after three days of drinking.
He worked for Cisco Tom He gotfired for drinking on the job at

(02:01:15):
Cisco. His wife was an attorney, ensued Cisco got a year's back pay
because apparently, if you drink onthe job and you're an alcoholic, it's
a disease or I didn't something, yeah, and she got one year whatever
it was a back pay. Andthen on top of all of that,
you know what the company did,Cisco. They had to reinstate him.

(02:01:36):
They waited about a week and firedhim for no reason at all. That's
right. So okay, here's akill BOM. Do you have Do you
have anybody that I may be ableto talk to? You mean an attorney,
lawyer? You don't need one. You're gonna end up getting that payment.

(02:01:57):
It's going to defeat your whole purposeof getting unemployment. I mean,
unless you're suing this company for somethingmajor, it's just an unemployment hearing,
right. I just feel like thatif I'd lost this, if they believed
her on the first did they getproof? Did they get any proof from
her the first time? No,I've never been I've never was written up.

(02:02:21):
I was never There was no writeups there. I was never even
approached about alcohol nothing. Okay,I ever said me about alcohol. Ever,
you don't have You don't have subpoenapower like you think you do with
courts. You're not going to gettranscripts of a meeting. You're not going
to get private notes. But whatyou can do is demand documentation. That's

(02:02:44):
one thing I know. And Monty, I don't have an answer as to
why you were turned down the firsttime. I will tell you this,
I've never found someone denied unemployment yet. I've had people walk off the job,
that people use my credit card forliquor. I've had people, I
mean, just I can't even tellyou had someone leave in the middle of

(02:03:09):
a show that was producing it right, a live show. Now, what
the hell? Yeah? You knowwhy, Mark? Guess why? Guess
why she wasn't fired because I didnot have a written policy of leaving during
the show that you can't leave inthe middle. Oh, by the way,
I gotta go, Yeah, Monty, I gotta take a break,

(02:03:31):
Bro. I mean, I'm justtelling you. You gotta go through with
it. You hate and man,I know you don't want to hear this,
but honestly, it's a gut feelingyou probably only you know, if
you have an issue, you mightwant to check into that. Bro,
Why do you think so, Mark, I don't hear anything. I don't
think he's drunk right now by anymeans. I just I don't know why
I think that actually, And that'swhy he said, only he knows,

(02:03:54):
yeah, but he would have hadeven if he did it. Even if
he does Actually he could claim he'san alcoholic and he needed rehab and he'll
get his job back and everything. But and they didn't work with him,
and they knew it. I mean, he could really make it hard of
them because these at jerks just wentand admitted they would have had admitted they

O three seven one three talk threeoh three seven one three eight two five

five. All right, welcome, let's talk. It is Jerry's turn.
Jerry, what is happening? Oh? Yes, my husband had a gym
membership at a prestige in Ravada andh they uh just suddenly closed and they

(02:05:50):
gave everyone there like a month overat just other YMCA and Nevada. But
then they owed as one hundred andseventy six thirty three for six months left
on the contract and it was allagreed. How do you know it's one

(02:06:11):
seventy six thirty three exactly that wasleft because I called the place where they
had the billing through and talked toa final over there and she said that
it was approved to be it getthat much. Then that was what was
left on the contract. What wasthe name of the gym Prestige also known

(02:06:35):
as Zone. So anyway, thepoint is you did get somewhat of a
membership into something else to make upfor it, but it did not make
up for all of it? Orwhat correct? Okay? So if he
had one seventy six coming, whatwas the value of the other membership they

(02:06:58):
gave him in place of Prestige? There was no value. They just let
it. They let the members useuh, the gym membership at the YMCA
for just a month or two inlieu of them trying to open up another
place. They did not get thatother place opened. Okay, So what
is the what is the value? What is the value of that of the

(02:07:24):
use of the YMCA for two months? Is it a free gym or do
they normally pay? What is it? Yeah, that car was free until
No. I'm not asking if it'sfree to you. I'm asking if I
walked in off street, what it'ssimilar in price? Okay? So the
YMCA is similar to Prestige. Soyour husband, in essence got two months.

(02:07:49):
How many months did he have comingat Prestige? He had a year
and a half contract, and howmany did he have left? He had
six month after he had the freetime at the YMCA. So after that
time he had six months left onhis contract. Still after that free time,

(02:08:13):
I think it's defunct. I mean, the company just to go.
I understand there's nothing she can do, but I'm trying to figure something out.
If the Prestige membership, what's thePrestige membership for one year? It
was a year and a half. How much an action Prestige still has an
opening up in the Southland, Jerry, Jerry, how much a year or

(02:08:37):
for eighteen months? What was thelump sum payment for eighteen months? Nine
dollars? Oh my god, really, that's that's pretty okay. I did
not know it was that much.Yeah, okay, So divided by that
okay, So he had eighteen months, so it's divided by eight team so

(02:09:00):
it was basically so it's thirty bucksa month. Basically he was paying basically,
okay. And you're saying after gettingthe free membership at the y,
he's still upside down, a littleupside down by six months for that one
