Ripped us, so you don't haveJust as fast as we can show Shooter's
gonna help come Man Dix is theTroubleshooter Show. No Tom Martino, Hi
(00:25):
Tom Martino here, Welcome to theshow. And I once talked about Today's
Car Day. By the way, this is a consumer show. We'll take
any call, any problem, anyquestion, any complaint, Today's Car Day.
I got a bunch of UH degeneratesin the studio. Actually their car
professionals, I should say, whatam I talking about? Their auto mechanics,
(00:46):
extraordinaries. They own their own shops. Jesse Schillinger drove up from Colorado
Springs. He's on at Accurate Auto. Jeff Vick Kimmera Transmission, Kevin Colkin,
Sheridan Auto Tech. Now listen. So I bitched a lot about six
months ago about my two thousand dollarsflat and people thought I was exaggerating,
(01:07):
and I'm going to tell you somethingI'm not exaggerating, and Kachina colorI found
that out that I'm not exaggerating, and I'm going to tell you the story
and I'll take your calls, Ipromise you, But I want to tell
you. I want to tell youabout the two thousand dollars flat. If
you have run flats on your carand your tires are not within five or
(01:33):
six thousand miles from new, andyou get a flat in any one of
those tires, they will not fixa run flat. A run flat,
now you can probably get someone tofix it, and if that's the case,
then you're lucky. But in mostcases, run flats are not to
(01:57):
be fixed. To be fixed, your insurance company would would nix you they
found out you tried to fix one. So what does that mean? That
means Let's say you have ten thousandmiles on a car fifteen to twenty,
it doesn't matter. He got runflats and you get a flat, and
you figure, oh, I gota run flat. There's the nail.
(02:19):
I'm going to drive it to theplace. And you drive it to the
place, and they're gonna say, okay, mister Martino, we can't fix
that run flat, but we'll sellyou a new one. I'll say,
oh, well, okay, whatthe hell? Crap? Now, I
got to spend two hundred and fiftydollars on what two hundred and fifty what?
No, you got to buy morethan the valve? Stem I said
wait a minute, it's a runflat. How much are they? Well?
(02:42):
Six seven? I said, what, so okay, then I'll I
okay, I learned my lesson, get me a new run flat six fifty.
Well, mister Martino, we can't. We can't replace one run flat.
And I said, what, well, you see your tires are worn
and we can't replace it. Yougot to buy all four And I went
(03:07):
say what, well, you know, with these new drive trains, you
can't just do that. You gotto have them all. And I said,
so now I'm looking at seven sevenseven seven, I'm looking at twenty
eight hundred dollars, oh plus installationand all of that. So I'm looking
at three grand for the flat. But I wanted to get it down to
(03:29):
a bargain at two thousand dollars aflat, So I said, I never
want this to happen again. Andhe said, well, we have our
best Michelin tires right here, beautifultires, and you can get those for
fully installed everything out the door twogrand. That's with your road hazards.
And I said, so what doesthe road hazard mean? And the fine
(03:51):
people at discount said, if anythinggoes wrong, we can't fix it.
You get an a tire, andif you need all the tires, you
get a discount on all of them. And now, by the way they
mean it, my wife has gonein there and gotten tires all the way
around for nails, all all theway around on sidewalls, and they didn't
(04:11):
even baden. Not of course, the best insurance I've ever had. And
you know, I say, Idon't buy that crap. I buy that
when it comes to discount and tire, I'll buy their RoadHead company. But
let me explain this. So Ibought brand new Michelans. Not only do
I no longer have run flats,I will never have a run flat again
in my life. They're the worstdeal you can ever have. And not
only that, you get a betterride with regular tires. So what is
(04:34):
all this crap about run flat? What the hell? I do you realize
you'd be better off having a regulartire and paying a company, not triple
A. If your triple A youget it free. It's better to pay
a company five hundred if you hadto to come out to the scene and
help you, then it would befor your two thousand dollars flat or twenty
(04:54):
eight hundred dollars flat. And that'sthe story about run flats. I say
they suck and I would never doIt's the worst thing that ever happened,
in my opinion, the worst thingthat ever happened. But then you have
to have a spare tire in yourcar. Well, no, you wouldn't
eat Okay, technically okay, youcould still have the doughnut spare and drive
(05:15):
its. All you save is theroom for the spare time. Okay,
okay, so you have the donutspare or if not that, don't have
any spare, you call somebody outto fix it. And nowadays you have
cell phones, you have everything.I mean, there might be a rare
occasion you're out in the country andyou're alone and there's no cell saying come
on, come on, really giveme a break. Anyway, run flats.
(05:36):
When you buy a new car,you don't have a choice anymore.
Actually, I don't think you havea choice. And do we guys have
a choice. I think you couldmake them take them off. You can
tell him to swap them out,but they'll probably charge for it. But
I'll never do it again. People, it's the two thousand dollars flat.
And I'm not kidding it sucks. So now I have all michelins, love
the tires, love the ride, love everything, and if I need to
(05:58):
repair one, I can actually repairit. Now. People say, well,
Tom, you could have bought anew one and had it shaved to
match. That. I found outthat you could possibly do. But a
lot of people do not like doingthat. But there are places, have
you, guys heard of the onesthat shave them down to match. I
don't know anybody in the Springs, but I've heard of it. I've heard
of it, but I've never actually, I don't know anybody. Same thing.
(06:20):
Yeah, I've heard of it.That's all. That's it. So
look at all these wonderful tires. They're removing those run flats I had.
Those other ones were perfect shape, perfect, the three. What do they
do with them? They just they'redone? Right. We have tire places
in the Springs that sell use tires, So they go around and pick these
up, take them to their placeand sell use tires to you. But
(06:41):
with matching the problem with drive trainstoday, how close do tires have to
be? Guys? Really? Howclose do they have to be? About
a quarter inch three thirty seconds?Yep, that's not a lot, is
it, guys? No, it'snot. You can make the entire You
can actually destroy a drive frame byhaving mismatched tires. We were just talking
about that this because we sent areport to somebody six months ago. They
(07:01):
didn't fix the tire. The transfercase went out. Haley put one new
tire, one new tire at ten, the other ones were at three and
four. Oh my god, Raymond, what's going on in your life?
Raymond? It's your turn? What'shappening? So we're we're moving to Poland
where my wife is from. Reallyhow exciting? I guess is it exciting
(07:23):
for you? It was Harriet andI don't know. So what's going on?
No? No, no, Soyou're moving to Poland and your wife's
Polish? Are you Polish? No? No, I was actually born and
wheatrige? And do you speak? What's the language? I mean? I
don't want to sound stupid, butit's big Polish. They speak polsh shut
(07:43):
up, they speak Polish. Iknow, but I'm all right, go
enough said. Do you know howto speak Spolish? Sir? I know
how to speak some Polish. Whyare you moving? By the way,
let me ask you why you're movingit's really complicated. My son. Is
this because you have car accident? He has TBI. I don't have any
(08:03):
family left here that you know?Yeahs. And is it going to be
easier to take care of your sonin Poland? Yeah? And the big
concern is so I'll be sixty twoin September. Oh wow, god,
you're you're ancient? Yeah, Iknow, isn't it? So the big
(08:24):
problem is that something happens to us. Who's going to take out of my
son? How old is your son? By the way, he's twenty seven?
Now. How bad is his braininjury? He's fairly articulate, but
he he goes off on weird tangentsand his mobility is very impaired. Okay,
(08:46):
well listen. Weird tangents, impairedmobility sounds like deputy doc, but
it sounds like me actually, raymon, listen, listen. I'm going to
tell you something seriously. What doyou need to know now about moving?
So we hire company Transparent International outof New York to do our move for
us. How did you find them? Oh? I found them on internet
(09:09):
search and I got how Oh mygod? You know you will never find
a legit mover by just doing asearch like that. Most of the time
you find a broker and they havenothing to do with your move. It's
the same whether you're here in theStates or moving internationally. The first person
you get simply collects money and doesabsolutely nothing. They sell your contract to
(09:31):
someone else. Yeah, so thiscompany, because I did the net reviews
and all of this stuff before Ihired them. So the big difference between
this company and the others was thatthis company is proposed to do everything,
including you know, professional loading andall of this stuff. And that's our
(09:54):
problem because they did do the loading, but they sent five guys out here.
As let me ask you, iswhat stage are in right now?
The actual move? Let's just talkabout that. What stage are we in
right now? So my wife andkids are in Poland right now? The
where's your stuff? It was loadedlast Wednesday? I don't know. I
don't know where it is. Andso what's the problem right now? So
(10:18):
they didn't load what we told themto load. They loaded a bunch of
crap that wasn't supposed to be loaded, and they didn't do a professional job.
So did they ruin anything? Imean, you say, it's in
a container, So what happened.Did anything get damaged? I suspect so,
(10:39):
but I don't know until we openedbox. Well, so are you
calling that you anticipate it's going tobe bad? No, No, My
concern is because I'm willing to takethe risk on stuff being damaged. I
mean, so, what is yourconcern right now? They they left my
garage full of crop that was supposedto go, and they took a bunch
(11:01):
of stuff that wasn't supposed to go. Oh man, and they didn't load
away. Their representative in England saidthey could do so, like we have
furniture that went in there. Andso you have stuff in the container,
some stuff you don't want, andthen the other stuff you do wants back
in your garage. Hold on asecond, let's figure out what to do.
(11:26):
Go with a sure thing Denver's Bestroofer Excel roofing dot com. You

to the show. Three O threeseven one three talk seven one three eight
two five five Ryan, where's themover headquartered that you're dealing with? Moving
to Poland? Long Island, NewYork? Okay, Long Island, New
(12:16):
York. And they say, whatwhen you complain, We're going to do
something like a concession or maybe apartial refound or something. Well, you
still need that is the stuff theyleft behind, stuff you really need.
No, you know, honestly, most of the stuff ninety percent of the
(12:37):
stuff that went we don't need it. But my wife is so attached.
No, I know it. Mostof the time, people when they move,
would be better off not moving mostof the stuff, shipping a few
boxes. And that means no matterwhere you move, moving usually, I
mean really it across country never pays. People don't have good stuff like that.
(13:01):
I mean, it's not like wehave vintage stuff that needs to be
packed and moved. It's usually it'sthe biggest scam on earth. Even when
it's done legitimately, So, Raymond, what do you want right now?
Do you want us to call them? What do you want if you could
and just say, look, wegot this complaint, we're looking into it.
(13:22):
We want to know what you're goingto do. Blah blah blah.
Okay, do they have well, they wouldn't have an Interstate Commerce Commission number,
would they do? They do movesboth internationally and inside the country.
Yes, what's their name? Didyou say? It's Transparent International. I've
(13:46):
never heard of them. Okay, okay, let's do this, doc.
Let's just give them a call. They're in Long Island, they speak your
language. Hold on, man,we're gonna let's give this to deputy doc.
Now, I'm going to talk tojess Array. I believe is how
you pronounced this? Jesiray? What'shappening? Do I have the Do I
(14:09):
have the right pronunciation there? Yes, Jessaray, Yeah, Jessarray, what's
happening? Hi? So I wascalling because the storage that had burned down?
Who was one of my storages?Wait a minute, you had a
storage unit burned down? Yes,and your stuff was in it? Everything?
(14:30):
Now do they have was it inyour unit only or the whole facility.
No, there was like seventy eightunits that got burned down, and
one of them was mine. Andokay, now you're going to tell me
that you had two hundred thousand dollarsworth of precious stuff in there? Right?
Maybe? No, maybe more.I have a lot of collectibulls,
(14:52):
and like my parents had a lotof collectibulls and my mom and my dad.
Okay, before you keep going, how can you prove what was in
there? I have receipts and stufffor a lot of things that I had.
You have you had stuff in thereworth more than three hundred thousand dollars.
Why didn't you have insurance on it? I did have insurance that all
(15:16):
they want to give me is justtwo nine dollars for it. Wait a
minute, you have insurance on thatstuff from a company? What's it your
own insurance or did you buy itthrough the storage facility? No, through
the storage You bought insurance through thestorage facility. And at the time you
bought the insurance, did you writedown a value? No, I just
(15:41):
I've been there for like five yearsand I've just been paying insurance and everything
on it. I understand that,But how do they insure it without you
putting a value on it. Well, I don't know, but I have
like receipts and stuff for a lotof the things you have. I know
it doesn't matter if you have receiptLet me let me explain somebody to you.
(16:02):
What matters is this If the agreementdisclaims damages and says that you have
to get your own insurance, andyou got insurance, you need to pull
out that original policy to see whatyou were insured for. And if you
were not insured for three or fourhundred thousand, you're not going to get
it. And I suspect you werenot paying the premium for three or four
hundred thousand dollars worth of stuff.Your premium on three or four hundred thousand
(16:27):
dollars worth of stuff on a storageunit would be probably four hundred bucks a
month. How much were you payingfor insurance it was with the st How
much were you paying chissarray how much? Listen? I how did the let's
(17:00):
ask you this was the fire intentionalor negligent? Well? How did the
fire start? Do you know? They said that they don't know that.
They think because they had an outagethe day before that they think that that
might have spark. Okay, okay, jesuray. Let me tell you in
(17:21):
general what's going on? Okay, okay. Just because the fire starts somewhere
and destroys your stuff, there's allkinds of variables we don't For example,
if the place did this intentionally, let's say that was total extreme criminal or
negligent, and they did it,they would be liable to you, but
(17:41):
you would have to prove what wasinside there. And and when you say
three hundred thousand dollars worth of stuff, what size was your unit? It
was? Uh? Oh, Idon't I think it. I want to
say ten by twenty, But I'mnot fortunate, okay, And how are
you putting a three hundred thousand dollarsof it? Give me an example of
(18:03):
the most what's the most expensive thingthere? My father in law he was
in there, you know, ina little urn and then we had collectibles
on comic books that we had ina metal box. And then are coins,
and then like we had just boughta bunch of furniture, because okay,
(18:26):
do you have the policy that youbought? I don't even know.
I don't I could probably get oneof the receipts or whatever, because just
sorry, just sorry, listen, let me explain something. Okay, I
am positive. I want you totake this and do some homework and call
(18:48):
us back. I do want tohelp you, but I think you're going
to be shocked at what you signed. What you signed and when you got
this storage unit pretty much said thatyou're not going to hold them responsible for
anything except if it's intentional or somethinglike that, but you're going to hold
them harmless, and that you willtake responsibility to ensure your stuff. Okay,
(19:15):
I'm positive ninety nine Well, no, not ninety nine percent. Every
storage agreement I have ever read, they make the person take responsibility for their
stuff and they must ensure it.Now, now you said, I understand
that, Tom. We did ensureit. But here's the next step.
(19:37):
It's up to you to make surethere's enough insurance. If the storage facility
says to you, Jezirae, wehave insurance. It starts at eight dollars
a month, and you say,oh, i'll take it right, but
you don't know what that covers. That's your responsibility. If you were paying
for coverage for ten grand, goingto get ten grand. If you're paying
(20:02):
for coverage for two hundred grand. You may get two hundred grand if you
can prove what was in there, but you're gonna have the worst time in
the world trying to put together receiptsthat will prove you had three hundred thousand
dollars worth of stuff. Now,you said your father in law or father,
and I don't want to make lightof this, but those ashes are
(20:23):
only worth something to you, andthey don't ensure pain and suffering. So
you're not gonna get paid for that. You're only gonna get paid for the
actual cash value of what was destroyed. Okay, but what about like just
for the payments alone that we've beenthere for five years and you know,
(20:47):
Okay, what you're saying is whatyou're saying is you are making payments for
nothing. But here's the thing, here's what's important. That's what insurance is
supposed to do. It's supposed tomake you whole, but it will only
make you hold to the extent youbought it. I don't know what kind
of insurance you bought, but itwas your responsibility to make sure you had
(21:10):
enough insurance. Now, maybe they'reunderpaying you. I don't know the policy
until I know what you were payingand what the company and the policy was.
I don't know what to tell you. You need to have some evidence
of insurance. You need to havea policy we can look at, and
you need to have the original documentsyou signed. Otherwise than that, maybe
(21:33):
you hire an attorney and have themsue the place for three hundred thousand.
I mean, take your chances,but I don't think you're going to win.
Do you have homeowners or renter's insurancefor where you're living, because you
may have coverage from off premises.Premises is usually a small percentage, that's
usually ten percent. Yeah, butdo you have are you living in a
(21:55):
home where you have insurance? Well, we're like, that's the whole thing
is because we were moving and sothat's why we put all the stuff up
in there again because we were planningon this. So okay, so you
didn't have homeowners insurance? How muchwe did. We did have homeowners insurance,
but our policy ended because then youdid not have homeowners insurance up.
(22:18):
Man, you did not have homeownersinsurance when the fire started, right,
No, because our thing was upin Maine. Okay, I get it,
jesuree. I don't care why.I mean, I'm just asking so
we can find out where we go. So this coverage that you had with
the storage facility, you have noidea how much coverage you had? Do
you do? It? Says itwas three thousand dollars that we paid.
(22:41):
I guess twelve dollars a month,So that's what and that's what they gave
you. Three grand they gave us, Yeah, twenty nine hundred. Okay,
there's your answer. Jesuree. You'regonna have to get an attorney to
sue them. You're not gonna win, by the way, but if it
makes you feel better, I feelreally bad for you. But it was
your responsibility to say, oh,no, I need way more insurance than
(23:04):
that. I need three hundred thousanddollars worth of insurance. But would you
have paid for three hundred thousand dollarsworth of insurance? Well, I've been
paying it for five years, Sowhat were you paying? How much were
you paying for your storage? Onehundred and eighty six? Okay? Would
you have paid four to five hundreda month that includes storage and insurance to
(23:30):
keep that stuff protected? Well?I probably would have because I've been there.
But you did I thought it wouldbe, but you did, jesiree.
So if a judge or some oftheir attorney says, jeesire if you
had three hundred thousand dollars worth ofstuff, why did you only insure it
for three thousand? What would youranswer be? Because I didn't think anything
(23:55):
of it, because I've been thateffort, jezzirey, That's not an answer.
I'm asking you. If you havethree hundred thousand dollars in a storage
unit, why did you not haveit insured? Your least agreement says you
are responsible for the insurance on yourstuff. So why did you only have
(24:18):
three thousand dollars? And if so, why do you believe the storage facility
should pay you three hundred thousand. That's what you're going to run up against.
I'm not trying to argue with you, but you're going to run up
against that. You have to haveanswers for that. Did she have a
homeowner's policy somewhere? What's that?Does she have a homeowner's policy? No,
(24:41):
we already talked about that. Shehas none. Nope, she moved
and she loves a question. Howdoes she prove that the stuff she says
is valuable was in the swords units. Well, okay, it's still irrelevant
if she doesn't have coverage. Buteven if she did, okay, she
would have to sum at some pointhave a witness or have people or have
something saying what was in there? She is having? This is an impossible
(25:07):
situation. You should never have storageof three hundred thousand dollars worth of stuff
in a storage facility, ever, unless it's bonded, ensured coverage, and
jesire, I'm sorry that you did. I mean, I can't believe you
would have three hundred thousand dollars worthof stuff in a ten x twenty unit.
(25:29):
I mean, I can't even thinkof three hundred thousand dollars worth of
stuff I could put in a unit. I can't even think of it.
I mean, not furniture or not. Did you have precious metals in there?
Jesuite? Coin collection? Your coin? Okay, your coin collection could
be worth something. How much wasyour coin collection worth? I don't even
know, because well, okay, hold on your honor. She doesn't know
(25:53):
how much or coining, but shewants us to give her hundreds of thousands
of dollars. This is what you'regoing to come up again, you have
to know what it's worth. Youcan't just ask for money. You have
to know what you lost, Soyou have to make an itemized list of
everything you lost. Oh, wedo have an itemized list of everything we
have, because we have. Like, then, why did you only ensure
(26:18):
it for three thousand dollars? Whyare we going in this circle? If
why would you if you have anitemized list of everything, why would you
only buy ten or twelve dollars amonth of insurance? Why? Because we
didn't know that? Because we youdidn't know what You didn't know what I'm
trying to understand you. You didn'tknow what your stuff was worth. No,
(26:44):
we didn't. Okay, well, whose fault is that? I mean,
how are they supposed to be responsiblefor the three hundred thousand dollars storage
unit at least start payments that we'vemade there in the last five years.
Okay, you know what, Jesree, Apparently you need to listen to what
we talked about because we covered allof that. Okay, you're insured for
(27:07):
what's in there, not for yourpayments. You got three thousand dollars worth
of insurance and they paid. I'msorry, I'm sorry this is a great
lesson in what not to do whenyou're storing stuff. It's not that I
don't feel bad for you, ofcourse I do. You lost stuff,
and maybe it was very, veryvery valuable stuff. You even said you
(27:30):
had a complete list of it,but you did not realize what it was
worth. But you expect them topay you for it. It's not going
to work. Go with a surething Denver's Best roofer Excel Roofing dot com.

(28:26):
Oh, I'm not on program?Okay, ty, Tom Martino, I
just pulled the bid in there.Hold on, Hell am I am?
I at the G seven summit threeoh three seven one three talk seven one
three eight two five five all right, By the way, the other people
that were on I guess got discussedwaiting because I was trying to tell that
(28:47):
lady how she's not going to getthree hundred thousand dollars of coverage in a
ten by twenty storage unit when youwere paying nine bucks a month for insurance,
okay, and you knew you wereunder insured, but you didn't have
any idea what a worth. Imean, it just doesn't work that way.
There's something called responsibility that we havefor to protect ourselves. It's really
(29:10):
sad sometimes when people don't understand that. Man, I don't have close to
that in my entire house, andwe're talking TV's, my studio, equipment,
printers. I know now, Iknow, I know think about that.
I mean, I really I don'tthink the contents. I mean,
stuff's not that expensive anymore, andpeople don't have that much vintage stuff,
(29:33):
for God's sakes, and a coincollection at best, even if it was
what fifty grand if it was,why would you have it in a storage
unit anyway? John H wants tosing a song. Here's let me let
me tell you what we're doing. We're giving away tickets. Now here's how
it's gonna work. I want youto pay attention. This is Father's Day
(29:56):
weekend and on Saturday tomorrow the ColoradoNational Speedway. You got to go there
regular, right, But if youwin this contest, when you go there,
you go to the Rock and RollBeer ten. That's our friend Steve
Moss. And when you go thereand he has your name and number because
(30:18):
you were in this contest, he'llgive you VIP tickets for another event.
That's how it's going to work. But he did ask me to do one
thing and he said he can onlyhe can't give away these tickets to minors.
So we had a young kid calledthe other day, So your parents
have to get those tickets. SoJohn's on the phone and John wants to
(30:41):
sing the song in order to qualifyfor the ticket. And again there is
no qualification if you sing the song. Steve says, put their name down,
they'll get tickets. But I thinkwe limited it in too. Ten,
right, didn't he say ten?How many? Did we? How
many do we have on the list? Ten? And the one guy called

know something I find interesting because wetalk about dollars and cents a lot here
on this show and the economy itself. You know what I find very interesting
(32:59):
is that whenever a company has expressedtheir concern and their political ideologies which bend
toward being woke. Now now I'mnot telling you what I think. I'm
telling you what's a fact. Whenevera company has done this, there was
a study done. They have sufferedin sales, their products and services have
(33:27):
suffered. Now I'm not sure why, because we're led to believe, really
well, we're led to believe.Mark, if I swear to God,
if you look at the majority, you're led to believe keep going that the
majority of the country is swinging woke. I think that's what they say in
public, but around the table becausethere's no one really really willing to be
(33:53):
canceled over it. So everyone goesalong with it. Everyone goes along with
it. I mean the luna wokesay, well, you know, nothing
wrong with the none wrong with that. I mean they they don't want to
piss them off. They're afraid ofyou. How do you find swinging the
other way? Tom? What's Ithink the pendulum is signed to swing the
other way. I don't know ifit is or not. What I'm saying
is economically only marketing only. Whenit comes to marketing, companies who have
(34:17):
done, who have ventured out tolet their wokeness be known, have suffered
in sales. That's is a good. So that would mean what Mark is
alluding to that it's an illusion thatthe majority of the country is that way,
because they're not. If they're votingwith their dollars, they're not voting
for that. You'll find out inNovember. By the way, we got

Three oh three seven one three talkseven one three eight two five to five.
Here to help you solve your problems, to answer questions, take your
complaints, and making your life alittle easier. Friday, as every Friday
(36:15):
is car Day, but we don'tconfine ourselves to just car problems. But
we do talk about car problems, and it's a great day to do it
because we have our experts here today. We have honest, accurate auto we
have that's from the Spring shared toAuto Tech and then from Denby and then
Kimera Transmission from the Denver area.By the way, people have been taking
(36:37):
matters into their own hands when itcomes to parking. They actually can buy
boots online and they have been immobilizingcars who block their driveways or park in
their spaces. The City and Countyof Denver says against the law. Can't
(37:00):
do it. You cannot immobilize acar, and in fact, in most
cases you are not. You donot own the parking spaces on the curb
in front of your house. Youmight think you do, but you don't.
If you don't have if you don'thave a driveway or garage, you
(37:21):
can't just expect the space in frontof your house to be yours. People
have gone so far as to putsigns up in front of their homes,
and the signs say, you know, no parking, private parking, No,
sorry, can't do it. It'scity streets. In some neighborhoods,
I don't know they still do it. They did have parking passes. If
(37:45):
you live in the neighborhood by thestadium, but not for a particular space.
You don't understand the boots anyway. If somebody's blocking my driveway, I
want it moved. I don't knowwhat I'm disabled. Well, I know
that's weird. Call it, tobe. I guess it's just they want to
finally get this person's attention. Maybe, But in any case, I think
(38:06):
that's a pretty dangerous thing to do. Now, booting a car. Booting
your car is not It's just notlegal, that's what they're saying. Not
legal at all. Three h threeseven to one three talks seven one three
eight two five five. Let's goto the phones. Don go ahead,
(38:27):
Don, what's going on with you? Don? Hi? Is a brand
new vehicle? Yeah? What year? Brand? Like twenty four? Okay,
let's say twenty twenty three by thepurchased at new last last August.
Gotcha? So I paid approximately seventyfive thousand dollars for this vehicle. Yeah
no, wow, I'm in I'min the car business. My vehicles last
(38:49):
me three or four hundred thousand miles. It was time for me to buy
a car. I went to golook for used ones just a year old.
My CPA said, you want tobuy a new one because you're gonna
want to lower percentage. Interest isonly where you're going get it to say
two GM or one of the manufacturers. Yeah, Janale's are really nice big
vehicles. Holy crap. Yeah, well so, and I bought the you
know, it's a it's a smalldiesel. I'm a mechanic by trade.
(39:13):
I own a shop here in town. I bought this vehicle. I loved
it. Anyway, I got anaccident. Sami came over into my lane
hit me on the on the rightside, which puts me in the guardrail
on the left side. Obviously, they think my vehicle's totaled, even though
the adjuster's really never physically been outto look at it. Well, hold
on, but the adjuster is takingthe body shop word. It's what's wrong
with it or what? I don'tknow if you could be I mean,
(39:36):
well, is it out? Abody shop doesn't need to be nowadays.
Wait a minute, what do youmean, Wait, Jess, what do
you mean it doesn't need to beso the way the insurance companies are doing
it nowadays, Like we'll get carsat the shop and we'll call the insurance
company and they'll go, oh,so total loss on that's three grand.
We're going to assume the damage isalready three grand. We're sending Copart to
come pack that three just that they'renot even looking at with these CAI adjusters
(40:00):
never come out. Ye wait aminute, So John, where is your
car? My car is at TownCenter Auto Repair. Did the auto repair
center talk to your insurance. Theyhaven't talked to my insurance. We talked
to the at fault insurance. Ohoh, the app fault insurance. And
those are the ones that want tototal it right. So here's let me
(40:22):
do something here real quick. SoI think what I about the vehicle.
I know, I know they'd appreciate, so I went ahead and put some
money down. I also got gapinsurance, which I know doesn't help me
in this situation a year, butthe insurance company offered me sixty three thousand
dollars. The gap insurance will helpyou in this situation, not if you're
overpaid for the car out of stupidity, but they'll go one hundred and twenty
five percent of value and you useyour own collision. I wouldn't even mess
(40:45):
with the other party because you're Iknow what you're running into the other party
is going to try to undervalue itas much as possible. But keep going,
let me hear the story. Goahead, So here, here's the
deal. All I want to bedone is for me to have what I
had before I got in the accent. I just want pre loss. I
want I don't want anything more.Right, But also when they after me
sixty three thousand dollars, there's alsotaxes to be paid on that deal,
(41:07):
yes, right, and that thathas to be included in on top of
that. Okay, yeah, theyhave to do that. That's that's part
of your damage. Okay, Well, I kind of want to know it
before I call this and shat.Okay, here's what you're entitled to John,
Here's what Because I have this,I have this discussion with people a
lot. Some people hate it,some people understand it. First and foremost,
(41:30):
it doesn't matter what you paid forit. Okay, that you got
to get that out of your head, because we don't know if you paid
a good price or a bad price. We don't know if you're a good
negotiator or a bad negotiator, orif you had negative equity going in.
We don't know any of that. All we know is what was destroyed.
So you take a twenty twenty threeGMC tonalely with that mileage. It doesn't
(41:53):
matter what your basis is. It'sa twenty twenty three GMC to nale with
similar mileage a second before it washit. And that's it, with the
same options, the same everything. But that's what I'm go ahead. So
that's what I'm running into. SoI went to two dealers. I went
to a mid bed GMC and theydon't have anything used comparable to what I
(42:17):
have, yeah, even close tothe price if they have one. And
then I went to one hundred andfourth, which is omeara GMC the same
thing. So the only ones Ifound here in town would be car Gurus
or a CarMax. They have Rodneyidentical to mine. It's the same exact
one that I have, same milesJennerting, except for they want you know,
of course, they want to sendme some one thousand dollars for it.
(42:38):
Okay, so you have comparables,or you go on cars dot com,
or you talk to people about buyinganother one and then they price it
for you. But which I've done. I reached out to H and Brown
for a broker that can find meone of the same back of health yep,
(42:58):
and they come back of a priceright around seventy to seventy five if
that's truly, If that's truly thereplacement cost, that's what they owe you,
and you know they're not gonna wantto pay it. But here's the
problem. The reason they lowball youthe other party is because they don't have
(43:19):
what's called bad faith to worry about. Bad faith is when an insurance company
screws their own insured because they havea contract with them. So they don't
fear bad faith because they don't haveany obligation to you whatsoever. Okay,
so they're going to low ball youevery time. What you need to try
(43:40):
to do because you're convincing me yougot a pretty good comparable. Now I
would go to petty details on myreferral list. And these guys do this
professionally. They that's what they do. They value cars and they do it
for court. But I'm assuming youreject with enough people that you know seventy
(44:01):
grand is a pretty good number.I mean, okay, give or take.
But they're offering you how much sixtythree thousand? Okay? Now is
that seventy counting sales tax. That'scounting. No, that's the asking Bryce.
So Okay, what you need todo is get some solid quotes like
(44:22):
that, and then you either doone of two things. There's only two
solutions here. Okay. First, you never never even don't even bother with
the insurance company. It's not yourinsurance company. You're simply going to go
after the other driver for damages.Period. You have a right to do
that. Nobody says you have togo through his insurance. No one.
That driver is responsible to you fordamages, whether or not the insurance company
(44:46):
wants to pay them or not.But the easiest way, the easiest way,
is to go to your own collisioncoverage and your gap insurance. Why
don't you do that? I thinkI will after talking here? Do you
have to do that? That's whyyou have insurance. Now, if you're
worried about your deductibles, you cango after that other driver in small claims
(45:07):
court for your deductible. Gotcha,Bye? As you everything I need to
know. But really I think you'rewhat is your deductible on your collision?
It's probably a thousand? I meanthis is going to be the same.
It's probably a thousand if I hadto think of it, call your insurance.
If they give you a hard time, your insurance company. We can
(45:29):
tell you the story. I neverhad to do this, but Mark argued
with insurance companies when they offered hima low ball. I think it was
his own insurance company. I'm notsure, but and there are ways,
it was, there are ways todo it successfully. What did you do,
Mark, Well, I just figuredout what the value was. I
used petty Details as the bottom line. But mine was so far off it
(45:52):
was crazy. Man. They werelike offering me fifteen and it was twenty
four. Yeah. Well, hisforce to be exactly where I was at
before I got in an axfs alland I'm not asking for a dying more.
Yeah. Well again, when yousay before the accident, it's not
what you paid, you pay youpay petty Details five hundred bucks, they'll
(46:15):
invoke the appraisal clause in the contractand get you what it's worth. Man,
I mean, you're not gonna getany more any less. I'm gonna
I'm gonna call those people. That'swhat I'm gonna do. All right,

better quality ever. Now let's talkabout your problem, Benjamin. What's going
on? What's going on with yourapartment? What's happening, sir? Well?
I my plumber came yesterday and hetore up the wall and there's black
(47:49):
mold, the pipes are corroded.I report, But first of all,
my son's optick. My daughter haschronic asma. I'm real sick with my
kidneys, blood pressure, pills, and delay in the office that she can
move. Lord have mercy. That'sa lot of issues. Yeah, there's
a lot of going on. Soanyway, the black howl, though,
hold on the black mold. Howextensive is it? Very severe? Who
(48:14):
says the plumber? The plumber said, the pipes of Corona. You can
see the black mold all over thefreaking well, there's two different problems that
pipe corrosions. The pipe corrosion isnot going to be the health issue black
mold would be if it got intoyour air. Do you know what your
air quality is? No? Ido. I know. My throat's been
hurting, my chest has been hurting. My daughter has chronic asthma. And
(48:37):
like I said, I'm on sectioneight. My little boy thoughts to okay,
okay, Benjamin, you don't haveto go through that again. We
heard that the first time. Nowhere's what you need to do. You
need to figure out what will thelandlord do voluntarily? Anything. She told
me she could put me in ahotel, for two days and that's it.
But during the hold on But duringthe two days, is that to
(48:58):
fix it? To fix the pipes? Well, what's wrong with that?
If they're going to fix everything intwo days and you come back in,
what's the problem. She said, she can't do that thing about the black
mold? Oh oh oh, shesaid, okay, she may not have
to. It depends on what yourair quality is. See black Not all
(49:20):
black mold is toxic. Not allblack mold is in the air. I
mean, I don't know your situation. I don't know. I mean there
are some cases where black mold isreally dangerous, in some cases where it's
not. Yes, so, butthe landlord won't even investigate, is what
you're saying. Well, she investigated, and she should. All I could
do is put you in a hotelfor two days and that's it. She
(49:44):
But what did she say about themold? When she said there's nothing we
can do about the mold, whatdoes she mean She said, we can
just cover up the smell, coverup? What does she mean by that?
Do you know? I have noidea? I have no idea.
Well, once they fix the pipes, the mold will no longer have food.
But you have to then destroy themold that's there. Now, that's
(50:06):
not hard to do, Just soyou know, Benjamin, I know there's
a lot of hype about mold.It doesn't take that much to kill mold.
The main problem with mold is yougot to kill it and then make
sure it doesn't get into the air, and then also cut off its food
supply, which is water. Right. So the other thing is when he
(50:27):
cut into the wall, the walljust started crumbling. Well, that that
means you got a bad place tolive. It doesn't mean a health problem,
you know what I mean. Imean that it sounds like it's kind
of like geesh, you know thishas been leaking a while, right,
and the wall is all soggy.Well, I assume they're going to replace
that wall, right or part ofit that they obviously they're going to fix,
(50:52):
fix the pipe, and put thedry wall back where it's not rotten.
Right. Well, the plumber toldme has to go all the way
to the third floor, and thenthe people behind me and fix all their
stuff too. Okay, Well, that means it's leaking all over the place.
And did your landlord say they willdo that? She says, She
will do that. But like Isaid, she wants to put me and
(51:15):
my kids in a hotel. Myson's autistic and he gets really crazy.
And let me ask you something,Benjamin, Okay, let me just put
it there. What do you want? Then tell me if you don't want
to go in a hotel. Whileshe attempts to fix it, what do
you want? She gave me twooptions, either get out of my lease.
I can't afford to get out ofmy lease. And a second option
was to put me in a differentunit. So you still didn't answer my
(51:36):
question, what do you want?I want to go to a different unit?
Well, she said, didn't sheoffer that? Yeah, she offered
it. Now she's declining it.Okay, all right, let's give her
a call for you. And howlong you been there. I've been here
since October and you haven't missed rentor anything? Right? Nope, I've
(51:59):
never missed nothing. Okay, andyou're on section eight? Yes? Did
you bother to call them at all? I talked to my technician. She
said that she could get me anemergency expection to go to a different unit,
but she has to speak to them, and she goes, I'm not
a lawyer. She goes. Icould get you out of your leave,
but like I said, I'm onhousing, I'm on a fixed income.
(52:21):
I'm on so security. I justcan't get up and just for to move.
I got a little boy and alittle girl that I'm raising by myself.
By yourself, buy myself. I'ma single father. How that happened?
Worthless mothers? Wow, my son'smom's a drugging and my daughter's mom
she just doesn't. Really what's yourdisability? I yeh, I got lake
(52:43):
problems. I can't lift over fivepounds and I currently is under blood pressure
and my kidneys are really bad.Okay, well your danger's not that's for
sure, because you got two kids. So what you need to do is
control that thing. And then andthen, Benjamin, we're going to call
this landlord. No, no,it sounds like you got to struggle there.
Let's try to help you. Doctor. You're not doing I mean,
(53:05):
what do you got going on?I mean I want to make sure we
don't load up doctors calls and andyou call this landlord. I will we
need to call this landlord and justsay, look, you know, put
them in another unit for God's sake. That's two cuts. It's been hang

(53:52):

and I want to promote it becauseyou help people. What first? Tell
us about your organization real quick here? Absolutely. First of all, I
would like to say thank you,Tom, thank you so much for the
opportunity and for sharing your platform.A little bit about wine indresses. It's

had started seven years ago, andwe are just a small group of
just incredible women in our community thatdon't really have the time too. Yes,
(54:39):
hello, did we get disconnected?Jenow Okay, she got disconnected.
Can you reconnect with her please?I'm sorry about that. We got disconnected.
I knew something was up anyway. It's an organization that really does a
(54:59):
lot good and I wanted to helpthem out because they have an event coming
up on the first of September andit's called an All White Affair. Now,
what they do is they are agroup of women who promotes awareness of
all kinds of good causes and theyhelp support it. They want you to
(55:21):
donate gently used dresses and I'm goingto tell you how you do that,
and then they sell those to raisemoney for these charities. So it's a
really good it's a really good system. So we're going to talk about that
and more. Plus we're going tosee what's happening with Benjamin's landlord. And
then we have some car issues comingin by text. And if you have

(56:35):
event I want to tell you about. But I need to take Brian,
who has this urgent issue with Frontier. What's going on, Brian? Yeah,
So here's my trouples with Frontier. So I originally booked a flight and
the flight was supposed to be aone way. Not well, not one
way, it was a NonStop fromDenver to Minneapolis. Okay. Then they
were like, they changed it,Okay, no big deal. They changed
(56:57):
it to a different time on thesame day I did. So they changed
it again a different time on thesame day. Okay, fine, I'll
go with that. God did waitdid they keep canceling? So they keep
giving weird reasons. So now we'reup to another change. And here's this
change. This is the part thatI'm trying to fix. So now they
want me to leave at instead ofbeing a NonStop, they will meet to
(57:22):
take a flight that leaves Denver, goes to Phoenix, sits in Phoenix for
five hours, and then flies toMinneapolis. So here's the really funny part
about it. So why can Iask you something? Why are they doing
this? Well? Do they giveyou a reason that they keep changing the
schedules? No, So this iswhy Frontier is evil. Frontier literally you
(57:47):
can't talk to it here. No, my wife will not let us make
a reservation on Frontier. She saidthat you will not have any guarantees you'll
even get off the ground. Goahead. That is correct. And my
wife is also wise and told methat I was an idiot for booking it.
But the reason I booked it,of course is it was dirt cheap,
like silly cheap, and so Ibooked some dirt cheap thing. And
(58:09):
now they're playing games with me,missus twice they want you to go and
leave at an awkward hour and spendfive wait wait, wait, wait,
you guys are talking like they're they'relike singling him out, like, oh,
we're going to go ahead and moveeverything because Bill bought a ticket.
This is insane. They move stuffaround all the time. It's not like
they're doing it just to you.No, I believe that this is I
(58:31):
actually believe this, and unfortunately notwait a minute, wait a minute,
you think they're doing it just toyou? Oh no, not at all.
I think that this is there.I think that this is actually how
they do business. No, itis. Tell us about your experience.
I'll keep going. So my experienceis. So, here's what I'd like
to say. If they move itmore than one hour, they'll give you
(58:52):
a refund. Man, Oh,they just trying to hold on. Wait
a minute, wait a minute, let them finish. Did they offer you
a refund, Brian, Of coursethey do, and there's the comedy of
it all. No, no,but I mean along with the flight plus
a refund. Don't give me arefund. I haven't clicked the refund.
(59:12):
You're not answering my question. Canyou take the delayed flight with the five
hour layover and still get the flightand a refund? No? No,
okay, Well then what good isa refund? For God's sake, do
you make an appointment to go somewhere? What good is a refund? On
the last minute. Go ahead,Brian, go ahead. Yeah. So
this is what I'm asking, andI wish I could just talk to a
(59:35):
human there, because if I couldtalk to a human, they have another
flight that they're still selling that wouldactually get me to Minneapolis sooner without the
layover, But you can't talk toanyone because they don't have phone service.
Well wait a minute, wait stop, why wouldn't you just get the refund
and then buy that hold on?Yeah, Brian, duh, thanks Mark.
(01:00:00):
So here's where things that's where thingsget interesting. Are you ready got
everything you say is interesting? Whywon't you do that? No? But
go ahead, let him explain it. Because it's a round trip. So
if you canceled that one, itcancels the other and the price to come
back is astronomical. So you cancancel, but you don't get the same
price that you are committed to youroriginal I get, but you're the price
(01:00:24):
you were committed to. Please listen, man, the price you were committed
to on the first one is notthe it's not the same thing. It's
not the same flights. They're differentflights, so there's different prices. No,
but he's saying, why should hehave to. What he's saying is
why should he have to suffer becausethey changed his flight? And here is
(01:00:46):
my position, And I hope youhear this, and I hope other people
who use from Tier hear this. This is twice in my life this has
happened. I actually believe it's theirbusiness model. I believe that they're actively
engaged in a bait and switch tactic. I'm going to send you a twenty
nine dollars ticket, and I'm goingto move it three or four times,
and I'm going to tell you thatyou have to cancel it. Then you're
going to be committed to essentially buyingadditional tickets at a higher rate. How
(01:01:09):
much hire is it? How muchhigher is it for the other ones?
A couple a little roy Look look, man, that's just simply not true.
And you're talking to someone that isliterally sued Frontier multiple times. But
what you just said is one hundredpercent fault. Wait, you don't they're
doing on purpose. You're saying they'renot doing it on purpose? Right,
(01:01:30):
of course not. I mean that'sthe think an airlines business model is to
offer twenty nine dollars tickets and thenget you into something else. So everybody
in the world is pissed at them. They offer you twenty nine dollars tickets,
so when you buy that ticket, then you realize, I got to
buy luggage, I got to picka seat that twenty nine dollars tickets,
not twenty nine. That's their model. Their model's got nothing to do with
(01:01:53):
what this guy's talking about. Andwell, don't you think what it is
is that the thief the original flightto Minneapolis, who's probably three quarters empty,
and the fly from Phoenix to Minneapolisis now going to be full.
Well, yeah, exactly, that'swhat happened. For whatever reason, that
plane's got to go somewhere else.Doc You're probably right. It was pretty
(01:02:14):
empty, and they're not gonna flyone guy for twenty nine dollars. Why
do they do it more than anyother apps? But they mention all this
and when you go to buy aFrontier ticket, they lay all this out.
No I'm not saying people read it, No one reads it, but
it's all there. Why do Ihave flown Frontier. I'm gonna be honest
once again, I've sued these peoplenumerous times every time, so but here's
(01:02:37):
the deal. I've never sued themover what this guy's talking about. But
I have flown Frontier in the pastfour years, no less than fifty times,
and when it comes to stuff likethis, maybe one time I had
to wait two hours in airport andthese are twenty dollars tickets to Vegas or
whatever. Man, you don't flyFrontier to place is where they only fly
(01:03:01):
once or twice a week. Andif you do, if they cancel the
flight, understand there's not another flightfor four or five days. You fly
Frontier to places like Las Vegas orOrlando, or places in Texas like Austin,
where there's ten flights a day everyday, then when something happens,
(01:03:22):
you can still get there. Ithink that we can agree that they have
a crazy business model. Here's whatI'm saying is this is all I'm atting.
I don't know much think it's great. Here's what I think. They're
a terrible airline. I'll go withyou on that they're terrible. So but
here's what I'm asking. Because I'mnot a crazy person, I'm being willing
to be so go ahead. I'mwilling for them to move my flight.
(01:03:43):
I'm just asking, why can't youmove it to the flight where I don't
have to go because they have todo. We have anyone we can talk
to there at all. No,no, no, And can you believe
this? And that's just it.So I assure you that if I were
to talk to it here Mark, what if he shows them, if he
sues him where but he's gonna getwhat twenty nine bucks? I mean,
they would show up on this one. I mean, listen, they're offering
(01:04:06):
them a full refund. I justcan't go down to the tunnel. You
guys are going down. They're offeringhim twenty nine dollars at the last minute.
Now he has to make new reservations. I get why he's pissed off.
It's kind of an ingenious I'm notsaying he shouldn't be pissed off.
I am saying right now, inthe United States, if you fly any
(01:04:28):
airline, you're going with their terms. There is nothing in legislation right now
like there is in Europe where theairline would have to take care of it.
Blame a Buddha jeed, Blame whoever'sin charge of the rules here and
again again, they're playing by therules. That's all I'm saying. Listen
to me again. They're playing bythe rules, right, right, right,
(01:04:51):
I agree. But I'm saying isthat his life would be much better
if there was. Well, ofcourse, what are you going to do
about it? Though you've learned alesson, don't ever booked them again ever.
I think you know. The firstpart is that this is the second
time that they've done this to me. Never do you know that we've never
made a reservation ever, once, not once on Frontier that has ever gone
(01:05:13):
through like it was promised ever, not one time, not one time.
I can't see that. All right, we gotta have take a break.

All right, so listen, Colehas a question about the foundation of his
home. That sounds important to me. Go ahead, Cole, what's going
on? Uh, Cole? Cole? Yeah? Sorry, this is Hey,
(01:06:24):
what's going on? Cole? Hey, Tom's let the show. So
anyway, my mother in law discoveredsome cracks in her basement. Yeah,
and she got two estimates. Nowwhere are the cracks? Where are the
cracks? Man, They're in thegarage and utility room. So now you
(01:06:45):
say in the basement. Then yousaid the garage, So they're they're in
the garage end the basement. Soyeah, the garage is part of the
basement basically. Okay, gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. So on these cracks,
do you know they go all theway through the wall or they hairline
tracks their hairline cracks At the momentI've been told to go through the wall,
(01:07:11):
I think an estimate for a poseyfiller one was just the inside for
around two thousand dollars, and onewas to do inside and outside for around
nine thousand dollars. Yeah. Well, I wouldn't go with either of them
right now. Were these were thesefirms engineers. I can't answer that.
(01:07:31):
The o't listen. This could benothing. That's why. That's why I'm
calling. How old is the houseright now? Cole? It's probably about
twenty five years old, and nothingelse has happened like this. This this
is new correct? Yeah, withinthe last year, Okay, with a
twenty five year old house. Whateverwas going to happen happened, and it
(01:07:55):
doesn't sound like it can be serious. However, was there any new construc
diruction or anything going on in themeat in the immediate area. No,
then I don't know why twenty fiveyears it would all of a sudden.
She's sure they were never there before. You give me just a second.
(01:08:18):
Also, are the cracks such thatshe can put a piece of paper in
them? Or can she put adime in them? Or what? Sorry?
She does say it's been several yearsfor the cracks, I've got a
picture. Why is she even worriedabout it? Then? If they've been
there for several years, is shegetting moisture through it? No, there's
(01:08:42):
no standing water or anything. Shejust didn't know what to do five years
old. Well, okay, sheshould do nothing. She should if there's
nothing. If there's no cracking inher walls upstairs, if there's no cracking
on windowsills and door jams, nocracking anywhere, go over and look for
her. Call you'll you'll see ifthere's nothing spreading or getting worse. And
this is a twenty five year oldhouse, she should do nothing. If
(01:09:05):
she's getting moisture, she might wantto seal it, and the only way
to really seal it is from outside. But you don't do it for nine
grand. They're full of crap. How far down is it like underground?
How far down are those cracks underground? Three feet? Four feet? Do
you know? So it's the wholelength of the basement wall. Wait a
(01:09:26):
minute, the crack goes the wholelength of the wall, just from the
top of the bottom. So thewhole height of the wall, is that
right? Yeah? Maybe about eightfeet? Okay. I wouldn't worry about
it. If she's not getting anymoisture, it's not getting bigger, it's
just maintaining. It's twenty five yearsold. There's not much to do,
man, Really, I wouldn't spendany money on it right now, I'm
(01:09:50):

(01:11:25):
get Jen on because Jen has acharity. I want to plug and I
often talk about good things going onbecause this show is all about problems,
be course, solving problems, butin a nutshelling. What she has done
is remarkable with this organization, andI thank her for it, and I
(01:11:45):
want to get people involved to helpout. So let's talk about it,
Jennifer. Let's talk about Your organizationis called Wine and Dresses dot org and
you sell donated clothes to raise moneyfor charities, is that right? That
(01:12:06):
is our main event, Wining Dresses, And what we do is that we
actually ask all of the women inour community to donate their lightly use and
new dresses that we all have inthe closet, yeah, and donated to
us, and we actually sell themand the most expensive one we auction them
to raise money for the cost ofthe year. Now that's what I want
(01:12:30):
to know about because I want people. I'm going to promote your event for
September first, they can go fromfour to seven and it and as you
said, you're raising money by sellingthese just gently used and new dresses and
it's fun. And in a littlewhile I'm going to be telling people how
they can donate their stuff. Butright now, though you sell the stuff
(01:12:51):
and you say you give to yourcause. Now, do you have a
different cause each year? Yeah,So every year we change it. We
try to focus on what's happening inour community. So before we have help
organizations such as Warren Village Castal Desas. During the COVID crisis, we help
(01:13:11):
Latina Safe House and there were thedomestic domestic violence increase. And this year
we actually want to focus on attainablehome ownership. So we actually want to
raise twenty thousand dollars to help twosingle women, two single mothers, attain
home ownership. They want that fortheir life and we just want to That's
(01:13:34):
where wine and justice come in,getting, you know, being together with
our communities, just raising funds inorder to make that happen for them.
And how will you select them? That is a great question. So what
we're doing is we're partnering up withanother grade of our organization, That's what
we love is that we collaborate alot with many different organizations. But the
(01:13:59):
twenty thousand dollars select those two singlemothers will be another awesome organization called Project
I See You, and that istheir focus. They do help a lot
of people, a lot of women, basically help them with grants and with
their needs, you know, withtheir home ownership goals and drinks. You
know, one thing I wanted tosay, Jennifer, I really appreciate when
(01:14:21):
people try to help, you know, I really do, Because no matter
what, we can have all ofour favorites or all of our favorite stuff.
We can have all of our favoriteevents at activities that we do with
our sales and our families, andwe can have you know, we can
also get involved in social activism andall that craft. But one thing I
think everyone can agree on, Ihope everyone agree on, and that is
(01:14:44):
there are just some people that needa helping hand, and once you give
it to them, it can makean incredible difference. Absolutely, I agree
with it one hundred percent. Ithink I feel like even with this woman
at that they want it for themselvesand their families. All they need is
a little help. That's what wecan do as a community, because God
(01:15:08):
knows we all have been there.Yeah, now, do you have one
event a year to sell these dressesor more? Great question, it's only
one even a year. You cango ahead and go to winandresses dot com
and actually it's winandresses dot org.By the way, sorry, yes,
Wineanddressice dot organ purchased a ticket lastyear. We sold out. We want
(01:15:31):
to sell out again. One hundredpercent of what we raise, the tickets
that you purchased, the dresses thatyou don't everything that we raise, go
one hundred percent of our cost. And I know that that's wonderful. One
hundred percent. They don't have anyadministration, they don't have any paid people.
They just do this out of love. No, we are just a
(01:15:51):
dedicated group of women here in theColorado community that focus in in local social
issues. Great sharing a wareness ofa nonprofit doing something about that issue,
and also at the same time insfire women and girls to get back to
the community. And this is Septemberfirst, from four to seven to find
out more. And by the way, is this event open to both men
(01:16:13):
and women? I'm just curious, absolutely so. It first started as an
all women event, and now everybody'sjust bringing their boyfriends and husbands, right,
and so men are absolutely welcomed.Where does the wine action, Oh
yeah, where does the wine comein? Yeah, that's a really good
question. So as the day theywent the day day event, we have
(01:16:33):
a lot of wine and a lotof dresses. So last year we were
able to raise like one thousand dresses. It was amazing, wow wow,
yes, and so we're trying toraise two thousand dresses this year. And
of course wine just you know, makes everybody just happy and celebrate and it
(01:16:54):
just becomes a very very funnyvent.Like I said, we sold that last
year. We want to sell outagain. One hundred percent of everything that
we collect, it goes straight tothe cost and what I'm asking I would
love for your audience, thank youso much for listening. If everybody can,
just Tony ten dollars go to wineaddresses dot org and Tony yeah yeah,
(01:17:16):
or address or whatever, and I'mgonna tell them a little later where
they can donate their they're gently usedclothing. And by the way, that's
wine and roses dot org rg wineend and it's the word end, wine
end, roses or just me I'msorry. What am I saying? I'm
such an idiot. I'm sorry.I was thinking of the movie. Never
mind. Wine and Dresses dot org. Wine and Dresses dot org. And
(01:17:41):
this event is going to be inGolden By the way, you can find
out more on the website Wine andDresses dot org. A boy, I
hope I didn't screw that. Okay, Wine Addresses dot org. Thanks,
thanks very much. Go to TomTom, Go to Tom Tom. I'll
go to Tom Mark. Okay,Tom, Hey Tom, what's going on?
Yes? Tom? I called mostlyto pretty vehemently disagree with mars response
(01:18:05):
the other day. What was Mark'sresponse, Well, the ninety thousand dollars
pickup that the the engine went badin twenty thousand miles or so, and
they said, well, they nevergot thee let me recapture the calls,
so they know what we're talking about. Yeah, trure, all right.
So here's the bottom line. Thisguy, and I'm working with him right
(01:18:27):
now. This guy calls up.He had an oil change. It's a
big diesel truck, takes twelve courtsof oil. It's a brand new or
close to twenty twenty three Dodge thirtyfive hundred fully under warranty six seven months
ago, he goes to Big O'dtire. He gets an oil change done
nine thousand miles down the road, and six months later, engine starts knocking.
(01:18:50):
He brings it to the dealership becauseit's knocking. The dealership says,
you have no warranty on your enginebecause there was only three courts oil in
it. He says, now, wait a second, on my dashboard right
now, on my app as wellas literally on my dashboard, it says
I don't have to do an oilchange for another thirty percent. There's thirty
(01:19:13):
percent left in it. It alsosays on the app everything is correct.
It's green, lights, engines, green everything. So, in other words,
there's no problem of anything on thedashboard oil pressure, lights, check
engine anything. The app says everything'sgood. The dealer says that Big O
when they did the oil change, only put three courts in although it was
(01:19:38):
nine thousand miles ago in six months, it must have taken this long to
break down. So that's how thecall came in. I'll give an update
on it after I let Tom,you know, try to do whatever the
hell he's doing. Wow. Soso hold on a second, where does
this stand right now, Mark, all right, I'll do the updates.
(01:19:59):
So I've been in contact with someonebehind the scenes. I will not say
who it is, sure enough,I have pictures of the app. I
have pictures of the app currently, which is even crazier saying that, yes,
there's thirty percent life left. AndI'll let either Kevin or Jeff talk
about it. I have never owneda vehicle to where it's not intervals like
(01:20:21):
every three, five, ten, thousand. Ye what this is? It
tells you when to change the oil. I never heard of anything like it.
I guess it's pretty new. Buton top of that, we have
all the evidence that the app saidthe vehicles in perfect shape, that the
check engine light was never on,the oil stuff was not on, and
we have documentation from Big O thatthey put twelve courts in. I've been
(01:20:45):
in contact with the GM at thedealership it's at. He's getting everything in
the next day or two, andthen he's gonna get this figured out,
and we're going to get this guyan engine if it's a last damn thing
we do. But what Tom's issuehas nothing to do with any of that.
I really want to know what youthink of what Tom's going to say,
I went around the room last weekand asked everybody in the room a
(01:21:09):
particular question, and I'll just letTom take it from there. It's only
fair for him. Okay, goahead, go ahead, Tom. Now
what part of this do you disagreewith? Go ahead? Okay. It's
not so much a disagreement as whatI think is a mistake they, I
would think, all during the conversation, why aren't they asking the obvious question,
which to me is, during thoseseveral months after the oil changed,
(01:21:31):
how many times did you check theoil with the dipstick, which is a
simple, low tech nothing, doesn'tdepend on the computer screen and all that.
If he had checked it just onetime, and assuming that they had
the twelve courts of oil and itwas using oil somehow or other, they
would have found out, oh look, it's two quarts low, it's four
quarts low, whatever it is,by the simple method of checking the dipstick.
(01:21:56):
And yet the people in the roomwith Mark pretty much just made fun
of checking the dipstick. One ladysaid, I don't even know what the
dipstick. Well, I don't wait, wait, wait, wait, I
want to correct one thing. Tom. When you called in, you're you're
not being honest right now. Whenyou called in, you were saying it
was the caller's fault for not checkingthe dipstick. That's what you were actually
(01:22:19):
saying. Though now you're sugar coatingit. Is there anything wrong with me?
Hold on, though, is thereanything wrong with that? I mean,
shouldn't people still check dipsticks or not? A lot of cars don't have
dips? Oh my god, really, they don't even have them. It's
electronic. Now, that's an electronicsensor that will tell you the level of
the oil in the car. Youdon't have to use the dip Same with
the he's talking about percentage on thecars Honda TOYL They've been using this for
(01:22:43):
years. Yep. Oil goes bypercentage. You go by the percentage.
Absolutely not. I tell my customersall the time, don't go over five
thousand miles period, like, don'tthat thing will let you go ten,
twelve thousand miles, no problem.Yep. The percentage is not right.
But as far as the dipstick andthe levels, some cars don't even have
tom are you aware some don't evenhave them. There are a few,
(01:23:04):
and that's a horrible mistake. Becauseagreed simplest, quickest BMW don't have guys.
This is why I went around theroom. You can have one hundred
people call in and one person haschecked the gosh dang dipstick in the last
four or five months. It's unreasonableto think people do that anymore. It's
(01:23:25):
stupid. It's right, and youknow what, that's true. True.
Who the hell drops? Who thehell drops one hundred thousand dollars on a
bm what's the last time you checkyour dear Right? All right, Tom,
Tom, What he's saying is iswhat he's saying, whether you like
it or not, is right. Most people don't check their dipsticks. That's
(01:23:45):
true. That's the problem. I'veused to I taught people to drive for
a few years, and still occasionallyto teach somebody that I've been. One
of the things I always say ismake sure that you check the oil of
the engine before you have a problem, especially on a long trip. You
go on a long trip with severalhundred miles, you should be checking the
oil first thing in the morning, every morning, and anytime you get here.
(01:24:10):
Yeah, no one does that,Tom, Yeah, we hardly do
classes and they don't. Your ownyour own program is a testament to how
often that happens. Every week orso, somebody's calling in, oh caror
get the oil changed, and aweek later or two days later or a
half hour later, it sees theengine and I don't know what happened,
And yeah I know, no,I hear about it. Check that dipstick
(01:24:32):
and know what the oil level iswithout all the g whizs. Okay,
So let's get right down to this. How many cars still have of the
new cars coming out, let's saytwenty three on how many have dipsticks?
Must still do seventy percent? Theystill have dipsticks? Okay, Yeah,
there's that percentage thing. Is thebig Earth concerns miss, Yes, as
(01:24:56):
long as when it comes to warrantythough, guys, that's fine, Jesse.
When it comes to warranty with Dodge, they don't care if the engine
goes out and it still says here'sthirty percent life on the oil you're in.
If it says you've been driving andthe life has been dead for eight
thousand miles, you have no warranty. I agree. I agree. And
that's the same thing that we hadcustomers arguing with Honda because they have camshafts
(01:25:19):
that are having here. Here's whatI'd like to do. Let's call up
Stephanie, Let's call up Susanne.Let's call up any woman out there and
ask them the last time they checkeda dipstick on their brand new car.
I find it absolutely ridiculous that wewould even be telling people to do it.
It's stupid. Oh for p No, it's I don't think Mark,
I don't think it's stupid. Ijust think that you're right. People don't
(01:25:41):
do it. I don't think there'sanything stupid about it. I mean if
you could do it, I meanit would tell you something that I don't
know what. There's alarms for. When's the last time someone out and checked
their septic tanks? See how fullit was. There's alarm set for when
it gets full. We rely onthis stuff every day. Cars pretty reliable
(01:26:01):
guys. Yeah, when that oillight goes on, it's not too late,
right. That means you wouldn't bea check angel. You get a
separate message, not a check. And I'm talking about the oil oil level.
You just get a message or alevel low. Yeah, it wouldn't
even be just a light or ared little Thank you, Tom, appreciated.

this whole discussion on, you know, on checking the oil. My wife's
twenty thirteen Buick has one of thosemonitors that tells you the percentage of life
left, and her car currently onlyhas fifty five thousand mile line. It's
not driven very much. And I'vedone two oil analysis on it, and
both oil analysis have come back theresults that do not follow the oil life
(01:28:43):
monitor stick to a five thousand milechange. Really, yeah, thank you.
Why do they have those and whydo they have those? Lada wants
you to keep the car for Howdo they know what percentage is left?
How do they know? It's atimer? It's an electronic timer. It's
not actually it's not an actually,it's not measuring particular No, it's not
doing any of that. It's systemmile. It's time, right, oh
(01:29:03):
it is. Here's the other thingon this too, is I checked.
I checked that oil on the caronce a month. I generally check it,
and about usually about twenty five hundredmiles, I have to add a
quart of oil. I have atwenty fifteen pickup that currently has two hundred
and ten thousand miles on it andit hardly uses any oil at all,
(01:29:25):
and I check check it every Friday. So do both those cars have joil
every five thousand miles? Are theyboth changing like a five to twenty or
oh twenty or do they do usedifferent oils? Well? The car I
believe is a zero twenty and mypickup I think it's a five. Eric.
Thank you, thank you very much. Now ed wants a comment on
oil changes, go ahead, ed, Okay, So there's a twelve court
(01:29:50):
oil change and the inner bowl wasnine months and there's three courts left where
the truck broke down. That oilthat the man said there was no leaks.
That oil had to go somewhere. It has to be in the exhaust
system. And I couldn't imagine thatcatalytic converter consuming that much oil and not
(01:30:13):
being able to it wouldn't function.Well, you're right, oil goes somewhere.
It either burns or at leaks. But it's also a deel. I
was gonna say, it's in theexhaust system, different than the diesel.
Yeah, so diesels don't have cattle. That's my comma. Thank you very
much, sir. So the wholeidea this guy, the whole point was
(01:30:33):
this that he marked. The wholepoint was his engine is going and he
wants to know why. And theysaid he didn't check the oil. Isn't
that it? They said the oilchange done nine months ago was not done
properly and he never checked right andhe never noticed possible. Yeah, I
(01:30:53):
still think that the customers right here, he should they should be taking care
of his engine. It sounds likehe did all the proper steps. We
all know those monitors aren't correct, but the consumer doesn't know that he's just
following what you gave him. Thenthey really shouldn't put those monitors in there
because they do give you the impressionyou got a lot of life left.
Yeah, but then when they sellyou the car, they can't say that
(01:31:14):
it's you know, less maintenance, right they John, what's going on with
you? Hello? John? Howare you doing? Good Man? What's
happening? I have a simple quickquestion. Sure, this is a totally
different subject. Sure in a civilcourt environment, is there a standard statute
of limitations that I would need tofollow on something? Well, there's no
(01:31:36):
standard. It depends on what itis. What is like For example,
let me breach of contract would haveone, fraud would have another. The
breach of contract, it's just astandard breach of contract. Yes, so
you're saying they they absolutely breach thecontract from the time of breach. I
(01:31:58):
believe there's a statut you there's there'stwo statues. Well, no, no,
the statue would be from the breachand I think I think it's either
two or three years. So,but it's easily found out. I mean,
but but to give me the situation, what kind of contract is it?
Because insurance contracts spoke to you. What's that. I actually spoke to
(01:32:19):
you about this a year ago.Go ahead, I've been busy. But
what is it? What's that? What is it? My insurance? My
health insurance. I went to thedoctor, Yeah, went to a standard
provider. This is a Medicare insurance. Uh. And they paid the bill
and I paid my toepay and everythingwas fine. A year later they came
(01:32:44):
back and said, no, youhad different coverage. We're taking back this
money. And they did, andI put all the complaints in, all
the way up the line. Andthe problem was is that I had ninety
days from the event from the doctor'sappointment to make a claim or or you
know, to protest anything about it. It took the money back because they
(01:33:09):
said you had other coverage. Theysaid I had other coverage, which was
not the case, and I provedit to him. But every time I
put in a complaint, nobody readthe details of what I was trying to
say. You had three years inColorado for breach of contract. Three years
okay, okay, because what happenedwas you suggested I go to small claims.
(01:33:30):
I went to small claims. Theysaid, no, you can't do
that. Here, you have togo to district court. Wait a minute,
why, wait, wait, wait? What were you looking for?
I was looking to have to getback the money? Did I how much?
Doctor? How much? A couplehundred bucks? Well that you don't
need to go to district court forthat. What are you talking about?
But this is a medicase case,so it will be game state? Wait?
(01:33:51):
Wait wait, wait, wait heavenwere you suing the state? No?
I was suing a national insurance company. You can sue them in small
claims court for a few hundred bucks. I don't even know what you're talking
about. At what point were youturned away? I went to file the
claim and the clerk at court said, no, you can't do it because
(01:34:14):
they don't have an office in thisNow you didn't tell us that. Okay,
that part you left out. It'snot because they're a national they have
to have an agent in the state. They do have an agent in the
state, but they don't have onein the county that I was trying to
file in Mark. What would youdo in a case like that? Okay,
he's gone because he has done enoughsmall claims court following a councula.
(01:34:38):
I thought, first of all,I didn't think you had to go to
the county. I mean, you'resuing them, right, so why can't
you sue them? Do you saythey have a registered agent? Is that
right? Yes? That is correct? Who is the registered agent? Is
it a corporation? It's it's someconglomerate, right, it's a professional.
(01:34:59):
Okay? You them? And theysaid, because the registered agent isn't in
their county, correct, Well that'snot true at all. I mean,
I don't know what to tell you, man, But they said, well,
you know what you have to do. You have to go online and
fill out the damn form and havethem served. But I can't even spile
(01:35:20):
the suit because the clerk of courtwould not allow me to do it.
They said, it has to goto district court. That just if they
have an agent. Look at ifthey have a registered agent in the state
of Colorado, you can go tosmall claims court? And what was the
reason they gave you? So?In other words, unless they have an
(01:35:43):
office in the county, you can'tsue them. That was what's small?
Come on, man, then howdid Mark sue all of these people,
Frontier Airlines? How did he sueUber? How did he sue Lift?
How did he sue? Cell phonecompany? Tell me how they don't have
offices in the That was exactly whatI tried to do. Well, then
you know what, you got astupid clerk. What else can I tell
(01:36:05):
you? You got a stupid clerk. I don't look at it. I
can't fight stupidity. I can't fightit. But but all you have to
do, and I thought you coulddo, you have to literally hand it
to her. No, I canhave an agent serve them. I mean,
I don't want to know. I'masking you, why is this woman
(01:36:27):
a roadblock? Can't you electronically fileit? They would not. I went
to the I wasn't sure what neededto be done, so I filled out
the paperwork and I brought it downto the clerk and they said, you
cannot. Okay, did you hearme? Don't bring it to the clerk.
Okay, just file it. Youdon't have to go and get the
(01:36:49):
clerk's blessing for it. All ofthis stuff can be done electronically. For
God's sakes, why would you bother? And so look these people all I
can say is we have more andmore and more and more and more and
more morons working. All you haveto do is you got to work around
them. Do I owe you?I'm sorry, I gotta teach this.

so tired of seeing the trash leftbehind by people that hand out food drinks
to people on the corners. Nineout of ten times those people just leave
it there and walk away. Wehave got to solve this homeless problem of
blight by finding these people that areon public roads giving people money, food,
(01:38:45):
or drinks on public property. Youcan do whatever you want on your
private property, but I feel likethey should be given a fifty seventy five
dollars ticket so that that money cango help the homeless problem and get these
people to stop giving free money, free food. These people won't leave into
(01:39:05):
the suburbs and into our neighborhood ifthere's no opportunity to get free money,
free food, free drinks on thestreet corner, because that's what they're doing.
They go out there only to doit because people continue to feed them
and support them in the most wrongway. Please, people stop handing food

and not the people who leave thejunk. Well if if they the homeless
people are not taking their trash withthem, they're leaving it right there at

have a program that will dry upthis, this whole rampant blight, because
(01:40:13):
it's only getting worse. They justkeep spreading and living in areas that.
Oh man, this intersection is reallygood. I'm going to pitch a tent
in this field over here and dedicateover here, and I'm just going to
go to that intersection because I getlike fifty dollars every day and I don't
care about the trash I leave behind, you know, I mean, it's
it's just wrong. Have you, man, have you been You're talking about

corners and stuff and intersections. Haveyou been to the concentrated areas downtown and
stuff. Yeah. Yeah, Andif we would just stop giving them stuff,
I mean, if we had foodkitchens where they went in, they
ate, they threw the trash inthe trash can, but they can't walk
out and leave it all over thecity. I mean, but you know
(01:40:56):
what, here's the point. Here'sthe point, Mike, Honest to God,
even if you did that, therewould be people that still want to
be out on the corner. I'mnot saying that they can't sit out on
the corner, but when we givethem the food and the drinks, I
know what you're saying, because theyjust trash it, they just leave it
there. That's that's one of manymany. I mean, God, o,
we have so many problems. You'reright. I mean, in a
(01:41:19):
perfect world, we shouldn't do that. But man, I had to tell
you, I just don't. Idon't know what's going on. I just
don't know. I want to knowthis. If is it us making?
Is it us society? I meanmaking life more cushy for druggies, drunks,
(01:41:45):
homeless and outlaws that proliferate the problem. I would like to quickly add
that there are signs at intersections Statesigns that say, you know, handouts,
don't help, call blankety blank.Really, So there are at intersections
at the turn signals saying now it'sdon't help. And I've seen people under
those with help that the science rightnow give me money. Look, I
(01:42:10):
here's the thing. I don't thinkpeople mind helping people. I think people
like helping people. I think theproblem comes in, for example, where
the mayor takes money away from thepolice or away from parks, away from
this and said this is what we'redoing. I think people would gladly.
I swear to you. I thinkthere are people and don't think I'm crazy,
(01:42:31):
that would pay as much as ofa thousand dollars a year if it
went toward truly helping people. It'snot the money they're worried about. What
they're worried about is how it's spent. And that's the big that's always been
a problem. We don't trust thegovernment to spend it properly. Go with

Shooter's gonna help. Come Man sixis the Troubleshooter Show. No Tom Martino,
Hi, I'm Tom Martino. Welcome. It's card day today. Man.
We've been talking about a whole bunchof stuff. We have people with
us from Colorado Springs. I haveHonest, Accurate Auto Jesse here and Kevin
at sharedan Utitech Jeff from camera transmissionand listen. Whatever you want to talk
(01:45:18):
about, we'll talk about solving problems, answering questions, taking your complaints in
this car day, of course, and we're talking a little bit about the
homeless situation, and people wanted tofinish up with that and Josh, Josh
wants a comment on that. Goahead, Josh. You started commenting,
and we were getting towards the end. So go ahead, you have more
(01:45:40):
time now, Yeah? Yeah, tom So. I was saying that in
the Supreme Court case of City ofLakewood versus Willis, they affirmed that charitable
appeal for needs or for alms isprotected under the First Amendment. It absolutely
is. You're right, begging isprotected. That's right in traditional public forums,
especially within traditional public forums. Idon't think that guy was complaining about
(01:46:03):
them asking for stuff. I thinkhe was complaining about the mess they make.
Yah, fair enough, which Ifully agree with. That you know,
you need to clean up after yourself, you know, Listen, I
just want to say something about that. I mean, it's you know,
I have no idea what it's liketo be homeless. But I'm wondering if
you are homeless, and is thiscrazy and stupid? I don't even know.
(01:46:27):
I don't know if it is.But could you be a homeless good
neighbor? Could you be a homelessperson but not be a pig? No?
I'm serious now? Or are youriddled? Are Do we assume that
people are riddled with drug addictions andalcoholism or mental illness and therefore they don't
know any better? I wonder aboutthat because I wonder if I became homeless,
(01:46:50):
you know, I don't think I'dbe instantly a different person. I
would be down and out. Butwould I all of a sudden just be
throwing crap all over them? Idon't know, everything you have is with
you, so that may seem messy. Yeah, that's true, So that
that could be the correlation that butI'm talking about when they leave, Yeah,
(01:47:15):
I don't know. I mean Ihate to be on a lofty throne
and say, oh, well likethis and they should do better and pull
themselves up either bootstrap look at I'llsay this again. I love charity.
I love helping people, but mygod, I will not help anyone if
they don't want to help themselves alongwith it. And the other thing is
(01:47:35):
this, I think the problem withcharity, and we were talking off the
air, when the many try tohelp the few, the money is not
accountable. You don't. You justgive and it quells your guilt. You
give money, or you pass laws, or you say you want to pass
laws. You know you're you're you'rea person who says you want to do
(01:47:59):
things. You give money and yougo to a city council meeting saying they
should have the right to do this, and we should do it. But
when the many helped the few, there's no individual accountability. But when you
have the few helping the few, when you have families helping families and people
helping people and you have a relationship, it's a whole different ballgame because you
(01:48:21):
are saying, hey, man,how about this. Do you need this?
I'll help you with this, andyou help, and then they become
they become a friend. And Ithink if we all did a tiny piece,
then we had the few helping thefew, or the person on person
or families with families, it wouldbe way better than the many trying to
(01:48:43):
help the few. We've always donethat many helping the few, and we
waste money. It just goes outdown the drain. Our mayor might have
good intentions, but he is animbecul when it comes to spending money.
Not one thing, not one thingis changing. Nothing, nothing is changing.
Do people ever look at that saying, well, wait a minute,
(01:49:03):
we pass all these laws, wetake all this money, and nothing ever
changes. So Josh, what wereyou going to say about tires, tires,
any recommendations on low rolling resistance tiresfor electric vehicles? What does that
mean, what does that mean?Low resistance tires? What do you mean?
(01:49:24):
Yeah, they're built definitely for electronics. Wait wait, wait, they're
built differently for electric cars. Comeon, yep, very heavy, very
heavy. Why are they heavy? The electronic vehicles run different. You don't
have gas and brake. It's electronicbased, right, So the tires go
about ten thousand miles typically on anelectric vehicle, and they're totally different,
(01:49:45):
totally different setup. I thought theydid less wear on tires because the resistance,
I know, slows you down.Like my son never uses his brakes
ever, he lets off on thegas, never uses brakes. Now,
the brakes last forever. But you'resaying tires don't torque too and when you're
accelerating. Oh so I never haven'tthought of that, so damn it.
Every time you think you got anadvantage, they take it right away.
(01:50:10):
Hey, the I will say,go ahead, Josh, I'm sorry,
Wait, Josh, go ahead.No. I was gonna say, I'm
on a pair of Continental Control contactsright now. I got them put on
at nine thousand, I'm at fortyfive thousand now and they're now hitting that.
What car do you have? Whatcar do you have? Twenty twenty
leaf. Oh really is it?Is it cool? Oh? Yeah,
(01:50:35):
I like it. I'm you know, I'm almost convinced my next car is
going to be electric because I justlove the concept of this. There's so
many fewer parts and and and thingsto worry about. There really are.
The maintenance on it has been practicallynothing. I know, you know,
(01:50:55):
they're minimal, There is no there'svirtually no maintenance. I mean, they're
really isn't much maintenance at all.I mean, I think, you know,
and I'm not I'm not talking aboutthis for the Church of climate change
or all of the other reasons, because I don't believe it reduces a carbon
footprint by a lick. But Ido believe, I do believe it's better
for other reasons. And but I'mnot sure what it's going to do to
(01:51:17):
our labor market. I don't knowwhat it's going to do. Because really,
if truly people go to electric andwe can find a way to sustain
it through solar and other means,I wonder what will happen to like like
transmission shops and just people gener justmaintenance, peple, I mean, eventually,
(01:51:38):
guys, I mean you're at anage now where you don't care that
much, but uh, the industryhas to be worried about it a little
or these mechanics shops. All industrieschange. I mean, it's just all
part. I wonder if ass arenow learning electric vehicles evs. Oh yeah,
we do classes and my guys goto different classes. Okay, we're
trying to stay up to be withnow, Josh is far tires. Guys,
(01:52:00):
you don't know anything what your complainabout the tires you have on there.
If there's no complaints, I'd goback to those. Well, you
know, I have to see ifyou guys any recommendations for anything else.
I mean, these tires have beenamazing. They're going to start coming out
with tires, tires, They're goingto start coming out with EV tires or
do they have they do? Andthat's why I was asking if they think
if he's happy with those, Iliterally have tires just for electric cars.
(01:52:21):
Okah see I didn't know that.I hope they're not run flats, because
damn, Josh, if you're happywith those tires, go back to them.
They're great tires. Are they moreexpensive than regular tires would be?
I was quoted one fifty yeah.I don't want to say that they're more
expensive. They're probably less expensive,to be honest with you, just sound
less expensive if it's one fifty pertire. Anyway, thank you. Let's
(01:52:45):
go to Ken, Ken. What'sgoing on with you? Hello? Ken?
Yeah? Hi. The first thingI'll say is my problem was caused
by my own mistakes. Uh oh, So what happened was I moved from
Delta too for two years ago, okay, and I've ordered stuff online before,
and I made the changes I neededto make, and I placed an
(01:53:09):
order with b n H Photo onMay twenty. I love that place in
New York. I love that place. Yeah. I purchased six hundred and
fifty dollars Phonology navs and I didn'tnotice till after it had shipped. It
shipped over to Delta. Now,but why did you have an old address
(01:53:30):
on file? Yeah? I hadmoved and I changed it everywhere I ordered.
I get it. Yeah, yeah, it was a default address right
right? Yeah, so I gotit. I got an online it was
fat X and had it delivered toa FedEx store over a Delta wouldn't go
(01:53:51):
to the old address. I talkedto fat X twice. I talked to
be an h photo twice. Thatsays they can't make any changes. And
what does that mean that they can'tmake changes? They won't reroute it to
my addressure? No, of course, no they won't. They won't because
(01:54:12):
they're contract is for that, andyou can't. You'd have to do a
new You have to have someone goin. You can have a friend or
a neighbor or someone go in andjust do it. But they won't do
it. They told me I hadto be over there. Well, no
they you can. You can designatesomeone to pick up your package. Yeah,
I don't know anybody over there atthis point in time, So that's
(01:54:34):
kind of mute. How expensive isthis item? You ordered? Six hundred
and fifty dollars? What did youorder? By the way, and with
the phonology navs so that storage. So I went back to being a phutto
because Satax said only they can makethe changes. I don't know if they
(01:54:56):
can once it's once it's delivered,I don't think even they can do it.
Well, you know they told methey couldn't do it. Well they
can't. It's a very simple system, bro. They deliver where you tell
them to deliver. And then it'sover. And the only way you reroute
something that has been delivered is ifnow, if you got to the shipper
(01:55:19):
beforehand, that would have been different, or got before it was delivered.
The shipper can then designate a newdelivery. If you're notified as coming,
you can notify, you can haveit rerouted, but once it's delivered,
you can't do that. My questionis, why didn't you get tracking on
this package where you would have seenwhere it was going and you could have
(01:55:42):
diverted it. I did, butI didn't notice it was too late.
See. So you're right, Kenwhen you said in the beginning, this
is all your problem. So ifyou're looking for a solution, I'm serious,
Ken, you got to find somebodyover there to pick it up or
drive over. I mean, Idon't know what else did tell you.
How long of a drive is it? By the way to Delta, it's
(01:56:03):
about five hours? Oh my gosh. Oh man, if you can find
somebody to pick it up, ifyou're from Delta, I've got a place
over an Arrowhead. We might beable to actually meet up and I can
bring it back here. Huh.Yeah, I don't know at this point
in time. I don't know anybodyover in Delta. None. You don't
(01:56:23):
have a friend over there. That'swhy you left, right. I moved
to Delta to get away from Denver. I lived out in the rural area
and neighbors around me change pretty often. Yeah, and that's the time that
I moved. I didn't know anyeither my neighbors. Yeah, I know
(01:56:44):
nothing about Delta actually, so listen, I don't know what I'm trying to
think of a solution. I can'tthink of any I mean, I literally
would call and make a friend andlet me let me explain that, so
you know, I don't sound weird. If you're a member of a church
somewhere and they have a branch overthere, or or if you have or
a civic organization boy scouts, say, look, I know this sounds unusual,
(01:57:08):
but maybe someone can help me.I don't know. I'm just thinking
out of the box because it's aunique problem. Oh yeah, so well,
I'm kind of figure I'm going toend up having to drive over there
anyway. But so I thought i'dgive you a call. Yeah, but

The tax credits are going to goaway, but I don't think that's going
to be for a long time. And as far as the price is,
(02:00:09):
I don't think you can time itbecause okay, they're all coming down in
price in general, and they havea terrible resale, so they're about getting
them used. Well, you knowwhat, actually that's a really big point.
You probably could get one hell ofa deal. You really can.
(02:00:30):
And it's a good idea, youknow, because usually who you're buying from.
I looked into why there are somany evs for sale, and this
is who you're buying from, peoplewho just didn't get what they thought they

the total silence or the acceleration. No, it bugs them. I'm serious,
(02:00:55):
I've read. I looked into thisspecifically because I was thinking about a

And what they do is they presson the accelerator thinking they were turned off,
and they it just scares them. They don't get a handle. And
that's just a fact. I mean, it's something that they're completely not used

It's card day today. Man.We've been talking about a whole bunch

have honest, accurate auto Jesse hereand then Kevin at Shardan Uditech. Jeff
from camera transmission and listen, whateverwhatever you want to talk about. We'll
talk about sol problems, answering questions, taking your complaints in his car day
of course, and we're talking alittle bit about the homeless situation, and
people wanted to finish up with that, and Josh, Josh wants a comment
(02:05:14):
on that. Go ahead, Josh. You started commenting and we were getting
towards the end, so go ahead. You have more time now, Yeah,
yeah, tom So, I wassaying that in the Supreme Court case
of City of Lakewood versus Willis, they affirmed that charitable appeal for needs or
for alms is protected under the FirstAmendment. It absolutely is. You're right,
(02:05:35):
begging is protected. That's right intraditional public forums, especially within traditional
public forum. I don't think thatguy was complaining about them asking for stuff.
I think he was complaining about themess they make fair enough, which
I fully agree with that. Youknow, you need to clean up after
yourself, you know, listen,I just want to say something about that.
(02:05:58):
I mean, it's you know,I I have no idea what it's
like to be homeless, but I'mwondering if you are homeless, and is
this crazy and stupid I don't evenknow. I don't know if it is.
But could you be a homeless goodneighbor? Could you be a homeless
person but not be a pig?No? I'm serious now? Or are
you riddled? Are? Do weassume that people are riddled with drug addictions
(02:06:20):
and alcoholism or mental illness and thereforethey don't know any better? I wonder
about that because I wonder if Ibecame homeless. You know, I don't
think I'd be instantly a different person. I would be down and out.
But would I all of a suddenjust be throwing crap all over them?
I don't know, everything you haveis with you, so that may seem
(02:06:45):
messy. Yeah, that's true,so that that could be the correlation that
But I'm talking about when they leaveand yeah, I don't know. I
mean, I hate to be ona lofty throne and say, oh,
we like this and they should dobetter and pull themselves up either bootstrap.
Look at I'll say this again.I love charity. I love helping people,
(02:07:08):
but my god, I will nothelp anyone if they don't want to
help themselves along with it. Andthe other thing is this, I think
the problem with charity and we weretalking off the air. When the many
tried to help the few, themoney is not accountable. Don't you just
give and it quells your guilt. You give money, or you pass laws,
(02:07:31):
or you say you want to passlaws. You know, you're a
person who says you want to dothings and you give money and you go
to a city council meeting saying theyshould have the right to do this and
we should do it. But whenthe many help the few, there's no
individual accountability. But when you havethe few helping the few, when you
(02:07:51):
have families helping families and people helpingpeople and you have a relationship, it's
a whole different ballgame because you aresaying, hey, man, how about
this. Do you need this?I'll help you with this, and you
help, and then they become theybecome a friend. And I think if
we all did a tiny piece, then we had the few helping the few,
(02:08:16):
or the person on person or familieswith families, it would be way
better than the many trying to helpthe few. We've always done that many
helping the few, and we wastemoney. It just goes out down the
drain. Our mayor might have goodintentions, but he is an imbecul when
it comes to spending money. Notone thing, not one thing is changing,
(02:08:37):
nothing, nothing is changing. Dopeople ever look at that saying,
well, wait a minute, wepass all these laws, we take all
this money, and nothing ever changes. So, Josh, what were you
going to say about tires, tires? Any recommendations on low rolling resistance tires
for electric vehicles? What does thatmean? The best one? What does
(02:09:01):
that mean? Low resistance tires? What do you mean? Yeah, they're
built definitely for electronics. Wait wait, wait they're they're built differently for electric
cars. Come on, yep, very heavy, very heavy, very Why
are they heavy? The electronic vehiclesrun different. You don't have gas and
brake. It's electronic based, right, So the tires go about ten thousand
miles typically on an elect vehicle. They're totally different, totally different setup.
(02:09:24):
I thought they did less wear ontires because the resistance, I know,
slows you down. Like my sonnever uses his brakes ever, he lets
off on the gas, never usesbrakes. Now, the brakes last forever.
But you're saying tires don't the tortoo and when you're accelerating. Oh
so I never even thought of that. So damn it. Every time you
(02:09:46):
think he got an advantage, theytake it right away to the tires.
I will say, go ahead,Josh, I'm sorry, Wait, Josh,
go ahead. No, I wasgonna say, I'm on a pair
of continental control contact right now.I got them put on at nine thousand.
I'm at forty five thousand now andthey're now hitting that. What car
(02:10:07):
do you have? What car doyou have? Twenty leaf? Oh?
Really? Is it? Is itcool? Oh? Yeah? I like
it. I'm you know, I'malmost convinced my next car is going to
be electric because I just love theconcept of this. There's so many fewer
parts and and things to worry about. There really are. The maintenance on
(02:10:31):
it has been practically nothing. Iknow, you know, they're minimal,
there is there's virtually no maintenance.I mean, there really isn't much maintenance
at all. I mean I thinkno, you know, and I'm not
I'm not talking about this for theChurch of climate change or all of the
other reasons, because I don't believeit reduces a carbon footprint by a lick.
But I do believe, I dobelieve it's better for other reasons,
(02:10:54):
and but I'm not sure what it'sgoing to do to our labor market.
I don't know what it's going todo. Because really, if truly people
go to electric and we can finda way to sustain it through solar and
other means, I wonder what willhappen to like like transmission shops and just
people and gender, just maintenance peple. I mean eventually, guys. I
(02:11:18):
mean you're at an age now whereyou don't care that much, but uh,
the industry has to be worried aboutit a little or these mechanics shops.
All industries change. I mean,it's just I wonder if ass are
now learning electric vehicles evs. Ohyeah, we're We do classes and my
guys go to different classes. Okay, we're trying to stay up to be
with now, Josh. As faras tires, guys, you don't know
(02:11:39):
anything. What's your complain about thetires you have on there? If there's
no complaints, I'd go back tothose. Well, you know, I
have to see if you guys anyrecommendations for anything else. I mean,
these tires have been amazing. They'regoing to start coming out with tires.
Tires, They're going to start comingout with EV tires or do they have?
They do, and that's why Iwas asking them if they see if
he's happy with those I know havetires just for electric cars? Okay,
(02:12:01):
I see, I didn't know that. I hope they're not run flats because
damn, Josh, if you're happywith those tires, go back to them.
They're great tires. Are they moreexpensive than the regular tizes would be?
I was quoted one fifty? Yeah, I don't want to say that
they're more expensive. They're probably lessexpensive, to be honest with you,
just sound less expensive if it's onefifty per tire. Anyway, thank you.
(02:12:24):
Let's go to ken ken what's goingon with you? Hello? Kenya?
Hi. The first thing I'll sayis my problem was caused by my
own mistakes. Uh oh, Sowhat happened was I moved from Delta to
two years ago, okay, AndI've ordered stuff online before, and I've
(02:12:45):
made the changes I needed to make, and I placed an order with b
NH Photo on May twenty. First. I love that place in New York.
I love that place. Yeah.I purchased six hundred and fifty dollars
you naves, and I didn't noticetill after it had shipped it shipped over
(02:13:07):
to Delta. Now, but whydid you have an old address on file?
Yeah, I had moved and Ichanged you everywhere I ordered I get
it. Yeah, yeah, itwas a default address, right right,
Yeah, so I got it.I got an online it was fat X
and had it delivered to a FedExstore over a Delta so it wouldn't go
(02:13:31):
to the old address. I talkedto faed X twice, talked to be
an age Photo twice. Fat Xsays they can't make any changes. And
what does that mean that they can'tmake changes? They won't reroute it to
my address? No, of course, no they won't. They won't because
they're contract is for that, andyou can't. You'd have to do a
(02:13:54):
new You have to have someone goin. You can have a friend or
a neighbor or someone go in andjust do it. But they won't do
it. They told me I hadto be over there. Well no,
they you can. You can designatesomeone to pick up your package. Yeah.
I don't know anybody over there atthis point in time, so that's
kind of mute. How expensive isthis item? You ordered six and fifty
(02:14:18):
dollars. What did you order bythe way and with the phonology nav so
has storage. So I went backto being a shu because Santax said only
they can make the changes. Idon't know if they can once it's once
it's delivered. I don't think eventhey can do it. Well, you
(02:14:41):
know they told me they couldn't doit. Well, they can't. It's
a very simple system, Bro.They deliver where you tell them to deliver,
and then it's over. And theonly way you reroute something that has
been delivered is if now, ifyou got to the ship beforehand, that
would have been different or god, before it was delivered. The shipper can
(02:15:05):
then designate a new delivery. Ifyou're notified it's coming, you can notify,
you can have it rerouted, butonce it's delivered, you can't do
that. My question is why didn'tyou get tracking on this package where you
would have seen where it was goingand you could have diverted it. I
did, but I didn't notice thattone was too late. See so you're
(02:15:26):
right, Ken when you said inthe beginning, this is all your problem.
So if you're looking for a solution, I'm serious, Ken. You
got to find somebody over there topick it up or drive over. I
mean, I don't know what elseto tell you. How long of a
drive is it? By the wayto Delta, it's about five hours.
Oh my gosh. Oh man,if you can find somebody to pick it
(02:15:50):
up, if you're from Delta,I've got a place over an Arrowhead.
We might be able to actually meetup and I can bring it back here.
Huh. Yeah, I know atthis point in time, I don't
know anybody over in Delta. None. You don't have a friend over there.
That's why you left, right.I moved to Delta to get away
from Denverer. I lived out inthe rural area and neighbors around me changed
(02:16:13):
pretty often. Yeah, and that'sthe time that I moved. I didn't
know any either my neighbors. Yeah. I know nothing about Delta actually,
So listen, I don't know whatI'm trying to think of a solution.
I can't think of any I mean, I literally would call and make a
(02:16:33):
friend and let me let me explainthat, so you know, I don't
sound weird. If you're a memberof a church somewhere and they have a
branch over there, or or ifyou have or a civic organization, boy
Scouts, say, look, Iknow this sounds unusual, but maybe someone
can help me. I don't know. I'm just thinking out of the box
because it's a unique problem. Ohyeah, So well, I'm trying to
(02:16:58):
figure I was up having over thereanyway, but so I thought i'd give
you a call. Yeah, butman suggestions. Do you ever get over
there anyway? I haven't been sinceI've moved. I've got a friend that's
moving over there, but she's notover there. Yes, Oh well,

Hi Tom Martino, You're a troubleshooterthree all three seven one three talk

Do you know that I might thinkI might take them up on that anyway,
They really are, along with ofcourse some a glue tide for weight
loss at only two hundred and fiftya month, and they're doing hair restoration
that you have to hear about throughstem cells Denverregen dot com. Now let's
(02:24:31):
talk about electric cars. You havea comment, Keith, what is it
so? Two things about electric vehicles? Before somebody buys one, make sure
they understand the cost of running thenew circuit for the two forty volt because
it could be very expensive. Okay, Like, give me an i Keith,
Are you an electrician, Yeah,I'm a residential service electrician. Give
(02:24:54):
me an idea, sir, giveme an idea, uh, fifteen to
three thousand just to run the linefrom your box to a charger. Yep,
that's about average. Sometimes it's alot cheaper because it's the panels inside
the garage right the time you gotto run pipe and it's big wire,
big breaker. Yeah, it's alot of power. Yeah. And and
(02:25:15):
what is it by the foot thatwire? You charge it? Typically?
Yes, It really depends whether it'sgoing to be in pipe or if it's
just in the walls. It reallydepends, Okay, and what else?
What else should they look out for? Do not get an electric car unless
you have a surge protector on yourmain panel. Now why is that?
(02:25:37):
Why is that every time you geta surge, it's going into your car
when you're charging it. So everytime your AC turns on, if you
have an electric water heater, anythingfrom the grid, it goes right into
your electric car. And what doesit do to it? So surges basically
it's a spike and electricity and itdamages all the electrical components. Like it's
basically like have you ever but doyou know this to be so that it's
(02:26:01):
actually happened to people? Oh?Yeah, So that's that's why the electric
car chargers are the little block thatcomes with them. Those have a search
protector in it, but it's tiny. So if you get one on your
main panel, it's way way better. Plus it protects your entire house.
And how much are they running nowadayssurge protectors depending on which one you get,
(02:26:26):
like six hundred and twelve hundred isthat is it kind of like a
conditioner too, Is that what itdoes? Or just surge searge and they
make surge and conditioner combos, butthose are like two or three thousand dollars.
Those are pretty pricey. What dothe conditioners do? So the conditioners,
they basically they take out the frequenciesthat mess up computers. It just
(02:26:52):
okay, gotcha one twenty or onenineteen, whatever the voltage is. Yeah,
you don't get the fluctuations. Thankyou, Keith. I love my
listeners. They're so smart. Reallya mike, go ahead, Yeah,
let's call it brought. The newthing I hadn't thought of before the week
of Lincoln EV's is still the olithianion batteries. Imagine running two twenty volts
(02:27:16):
from an older electrical system to poweryou, Eric Nisher, and also two
twenty bolt home charger. Yeah, yeah, it's gonna it's gonna cost you
way more than that. I'll betyou way more than what than three thousand?
He said, Max? Uh,but what if your lifestyle doesn't is
(02:27:41):
part of that? If you livein an apartment? No, you're right.
A lot of these apartment houses nowthough, are not apartments but condos.
I noticed are putting these EV chargersin their garages, you know,
where you get parking with your condo. But you're right, it's we have
to work that out. It's it'snot it's not something I think that's automatic
(02:28:01):
right now. You do have toconsider that. Yeah, another body's going
to be able to do it.No, that's for sure. I mean,
you're right, it's not going tobe for everyone. And I hope
people take that into consideration. Imean especially a lot of people, a
lot of younger people who want thesecars. They live in these these neighborhoods
(02:28:24):
where they don't even have a garage. I mean, how do you what
do you run an extension court outto your house? Or I would hate
to have to go to a chargingstation every few days. So all of
that. Now, Larry wants totalk about road noise. Larry, go
ahead, what's happening? Hey,Tom? I have a twenty nineteen Sort
Escape. It's the top of theline, it's a platinum edition. Yeah,
(02:28:48):
and it's got eighty thousand miles onit and I can't tell I'm going
down the road. We sort ofget a lot of road noise coming from
the rear of the car. Andwhat is it? A twenty sixteen,
Florida Escape No. Twenty nineteen nineteenFord Escape. Okay, well the Ford
Escape as a vehicle in itself,I mean, is it a noisy vehicle
(02:29:09):
compared to a Cadillac? Yes,yeah, I mean was it always noisy
or did it increase? It increased? Now that's weird. Now that's really
weird. Yeah, And it's sortof like I thought that they maybe it
had thrown a weight on one ofthe tires, so we had it rebalanced
and it's still there. Guys,Why would noise now? Is it a
(02:29:31):
road noise or is it outside?I mean, is it the car generating
noise or the road or the orwhat? Is it more like a wheelbaring
or something. You get a hummingkind of a noise or a little grinder
like grinding noise. Humming is agood description of it. Does it change
pitch when you you know, fasterslving, well, faster slow, but
(02:29:54):
more so when you're turning und forright, because you'll load the bearings,
it'll change the noise. Oh Inever at about that. Will go out
and do that, and and takenote when you're driving forward at the sound
or even you can have your cellphone on and recording it and then go
left and go right, and gofast and go slow and see what happens.
Just just kind of swerve along theroad like you're like you're drunk,
(02:30:15):
and just pay attention if it getsif it gets louder uh or goes away?
Yeah, exactly. And so whocan who can I bring it to
other than a Ford Dealer ship?Well, guys, what would you do
it? You do it all thetime. What do you go out and
test drive it and figure it out? Let's try to figure it out.
Put up in the area. Actuallydo temperatures too. You could do a
(02:30:37):
temperature picture. See the overheating bearing. And who's this that speaks okay,
we got we got uh? JeffFike Kimera Transmissions. He does a lot
of drive training and transmission work. And then we have Kevin Caulkin at Sheridan
Auto Tech and that's general automotive repairsand maintenance as well as electrical and he's
(02:30:58):

three fifty transmission and did a greatjob. So I think where are you
located now, Jeff? I'm blockinga half south of a Rappa hole.

Hi Tom Martino here three oh threeseven on three talks seven one three
(02:32:09):
eight two five five. Do wehave a chance to get that woman on
real quick? Is she answering herphone? I actually loved her a message.
Oh she didn't call, okay,I just wanted to get her on
real quickly that's okay, we canrebook it for Monday. I just want
to warn people of these scams Medicare. You'll get a call and they're going
to tell you they're sending you anew card. Okay. No, if
(02:32:31):
you want a Medicare card, yougo on Medicare and get your card you
printed out. If someone calls youthey say they need to verify your Medicare
information, it's a scam. Please. No one from the government, not
the irs, not Medicare, notMedicaid, not anywhere, will ever call
you and ask for information over thephone, ever, ever, ever,
(02:32:52):
ever, right, doc yes,and they will only contact you by mail
on stationary that has their official logoon that. That's exactly right. We
get these calls all the time. Please be aware of that. That is
like ultimately. Now again, here'ssomething else, just to say, it
goes to any police organization. Also, cops don't call you on the statute
(02:33:16):
limitation when I said breach of contractwas three years. There is something I
want to mention. When it comesto a debt being owed and someone breaches
the contract to pay you, youhave six years to collect it from the
time it's due or from the timethey stop payments. Okay, so that's
six years for that, and that'sdifferent than it's kind of a breach,
(02:33:37):
right because they breached and didn't payyou, But it's a collection. Once
it goes after six years, noone can get a judgment. So when
you have these collectors coming after youand their old, old old debts and
they try to sneak you into payingjust one small payment, do you know
why they're doing that. It's callednovation. It creates a new obligation and
(02:33:58):
then it starts all over again. So please never ever do anything like that.
You should always get verification of debt. They can never come after you
for a judgment after six years, just like you can't go after anyone else
for a judgment. That doesn't meanthey can't try to collect. They can,
but they just can't use the courtsto do it. And that's really
important to know. So you haveto just know your rights when it comes
(02:34:20):
to that. Hey, Tom,of course, when talking about the breach
of contract, is it three yearsfrom the contract or three years from when
you first discover it. Nope,it's three years from the breach or when
you discover the breach. So let'ssay it's a it's four years after the
contract was instituted. But you noticethey're not doing this right now? You
(02:34:41):
give them notice that's the breach point, and then it goes forward. Yeah,
that's very important to know. Otherwisea lot of people would have a
contract and then after three years justscrew around thinking you can't come after him
because it's done. Now, guysin the autobi is there anything people have
(02:35:01):
to watch out for? Anything?New? Parts are still available? Things?
Cats? What anything new? Well, parts are all over the board,
they have been. It depends what'sthe hardest thing to get right now.
We have the hardest time with Toyotais what we're having difficult parts?
All transmission parts? Transmissions? Whatabout Kevin? The electronic parts modules or
back ordered months at a time, different things. Yeah, so electronics are
(02:35:24):
hard. That sends back to thechip problem we have for almost two years
of not being produced right. Okay, what are easy to get breaks?
Breaks and stuff? Tires? Yeah, tires are the lubricants, all the
filters, all that kind of thing. Okay, and then as far as
(02:35:45):
as far as electrical problems, okay, parasitic drag. If somebody wanted to
know, is that only on newercars. No, no, it could
be on thirties cars. What aparasitic drag? Something in a system is
not either not shutting itself down likeyour computer. Cars always have one though,
like every car has a drive someYes that even if it sits there,
(02:36:07):
Yes, to keep things active.Eventually it will eat the battery down.
You know, how long does yourcar have to sit before you worry
about a tender a battery? Iwould say anything more than a week?
Is so you're going to keep yourcar in storage for the winter or the
summer you do a tender, yes, I would, And it's just a
little maintainer. You don't need acharger. No, no, no,
(02:36:30):
