Speaker 1 (00:01):
Now on the Voice of New York.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's the Mark some Own show on seven to ten.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
Wor well, it's the day before election day. We'll get
you all the latest on the election in just a second.
We'll also get to we'll get to the World Series,
we'll get to the marathon, and a whole lot more.
It's a tough day to day, not just to the election,
but we're on standard time, no more daylight saving time.
(00:27):
It was brutal yesterday dark at five o'clock. It was
really strange. And there's all sorts of all these studies here,
all kinds of studies, actual medical group studies that daylight
saving time takes a toll on your health in all
sorts of ways, disruptures circadian rhythm and all that. So
(00:49):
it takes a little getting used to it. And that
getting dark at five o'clock all the more reason we
got to stop with this daylight saving time. Now there
is a bill to get rid of daylight I mean
to get rid of standard time, just stay on daylight
saving time all year. It's the Sunshine Protection Act, and
it's been stalled in Congress for years and years and years.
(01:10):
Hopefully it gets passed at some point. So we'll get
to the mayoral race right now, let me call for
a second. Here you go, they're just getting choked up
about this mayoral race. So what do we know? Nothing?
Absolutely nothing. You've seen all these polls. They're not good polls.
They're pretty cheap, crummy poles, which is what you see
(01:33):
in public all the time. There's two kinds of polls.
There's the public polls, which are very inexpensive, they're not
very good, they're not very reliable. Then there's the highly accurate,
very expensive, private internal polls that campaigns do. But in
this mayoral race, none of the campaigns have done them,
so we don't have any access to real, real numbers. Now,
(01:55):
the other problem with the public polls, besides the fact
they're cheap, they just do a few hundred people. They
don't care carefully select them very often, they just rig
The metrics are all wrong. They oversample Democrats under sample Republicans.
You got the problem of nothing but cheap, crummy polls.
Then you got a couple of other problems. You got
Curtis tends to underpole all the time. So you got
(02:18):
that's one problem, Mam donnie. They think might be overpolling.
Cuomo is in a weird situation. He's not a major
party candidate, He's on some weird third party. It's gonna
be tough. And we also remember as a result of that,
Cuomo's place on the ballot is way down. If you
get the ballot, it's Mam Donnie Curtis. Those are the
(02:39):
two names at the top of the ballot. You got
to go eight spaces down to get to Cuomo. So
let's just go over all the numbers, though what we
do no one voter turnout is through the roof. It's
extraordinarily high voter turnout for the early voting, which ended yesterday.
There's no voting to early voting is over. The actual
(03:03):
election day is tomorrow. Make sure you get out and vote.
But in the early voting, seven hundred and thirty five
thousand turned out. Three quarters of a million people turned out,
close to a million. This is extraordinary. Normally you'd get
about two hundred thousand, that's really all you'd expect. This
has been the biggest turnout we've seen since I'm trying
(03:27):
to think it. Well, you got one point five million
in twenty twenty one, one point five million when Mark
Green was against Bloomberg. I remember that was right after
nine to eleven, so that was one thing. But no,
that was Guliani blom But so you got one point
five million back then. Twenty twenty one was the highest
(03:51):
big Apple turnout since the biggest ever was John Lindsay
nineteen sixty nine, two and a half million. We may
get there, you never know. But we're going to get
to two million easily, obviously, and we may get more
than that. So it's going to be huge, absolutely huge
to turnout. That makes the polls even more unreliable since
(04:11):
they're missing all of this stuff. People watching at the
polls say it's a lot of older people, a lot
of over fifty, a lot of over sixty that tends
not to go for Mom Donnie. But there's a lot
of younger people voting too. So one thing the polls
miss two things, the high turnout the extra people that
they didn't count on, and the other thing they miss
(04:31):
are the Mam Donni voters. It could be more than
we think that this is just a possibility. These the
polsters tend to look for likely voters, and Mom Donnie
is getting brand new first time voters that the polls
usually miss so we don't really know anything from these polls.
If you take the average of the polls, if you
go over all the polls, the best thing to do
(04:53):
is you put all the polls together, combine them into
one poll. That's what Real Clear Politics does. In the
Real Clear Politics average, which is the poll of all
the polls, it's Mamdani forty five percent, Cuomo thirty one percent,
Sliwa eighteen percent. But again Sliva tends to underpole, so
(05:16):
we'll see. There's been a lot of ads. You've been
bombarded for the last two days. The one thing that
was missing from this race. She got to drive Mamdani's
negatives up into the fifties. And that requires big money
from these super packs. Billionaires dumped a fortune into these
super packs. And it's not the campaigns. It's these superpacks
(05:36):
that run the ads attacking Mamdani day and night, bringing
up all the bad stuff about him, pointing out all
the dangers. You bombarred everybody with these ads, and that
drives his negatives way up, and that cost him the race. Well,
it didn't happen this time. It started to happen yesterday.
But yesterday's a little too late. It should have been
going on for weeks. The big donors that normally contribute
(05:59):
to this were afraid of offending Mom Donnie, so they
didn't put the money in. But they're doing it, some
of them. Bloomberg has put money in, a lot of
them now doing it on behalf of Cuomo. But it's
been a very strange race. A couple of things have
happened with Mom Donnie. Even though he seems to be
doing well. The Queen's Democrat Party refused to endorse him.
(06:22):
They said they would not endorse him. Now, remember he's
the assemblyman from Queen's this is his party, this Queen's
Democrat Party. They refuse to endorse him. Everybody has noticed that.
The New York Times, although they've really been helping Mom
Donnie with these puff pieces, these great wonderful lifestyle pieces
on Mom Donnie and these puff pieces just flattering the
(06:44):
hell out of him, they have not officially endorsed him.
President Obama was here yesterday campaigning for Mikey Cheryl, and
he was asked over and over again about endorsing Mom Donnie,
and he won't do it. He won't do it. He
refused to endorse Mom Donnie. Now, Obama said he talked
with Mom Donnie on the phone Saturday, that they had
(07:06):
a long conversation. He said his advisor said that he
told Mom Donnie to come to him for advice or
consultation whenever he wants. Happy to advise him, guide him,
but he will not endorse him.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
Now.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
The Mom Donnie campaign was asked about that, how come
he won't endorse you, refused to endorse you, and the
spokesman who used to work for Obama said, well, President
Obama doesn't endorse in local races. It's a long standing
rule post presidency. Well, we checked. He's been endorsing mayors
(07:41):
all over the place. Apparently this guy was lying from
the Mom Donnie campaign. Obama has endorsed LA mayor Karen Bassi,
endorsed her predecessor, Garcetti. He endorsed the Chicago mayor Rama
Manuel in his election. I could go on and on
even smaller races. He endorsed Rick Chrisman for mayor of
Saint Petersburg. He even endorsed Caroline Simmons for mayor of Stamford.
(08:05):
So the Mom Donnie campaign was lying. He doesdorse mayoral candidates,
but refuses to do it for Mom Donnie. Now there
are people endorsing Mom Donnie like crazy, a lot of
Hollywood types, a lot of you see that. It's on
my Twitter that Mandy Patinkin, great actor, Broadway star, he
does a video with Mom Donni where he's just drooling
all over him, just gushing all over them. We gotta win.
(08:27):
He's back. A lot of these Hollywood types really out
there fighting for Mom Donnie. And do you remember this
name from the past, Ruth Messenger. Remember she was the
Manhattan Borough president. Ruth Messenger as a politician from the
seventies eighties, tried to run for bigger out never made it.
But she lives in a fancy building, Central Park West,
Upper West Side. A lot of wealthy tenants there. Hurst
(08:51):
lived there, Armani lived there. She's got the building going crazy.
Offended the hell out of them because she was running
around dropping off flyers at everybody's door, at everybody's mailbox,
telling them we've got to tax the rich. We've got
to get Mom Donnie elected. This is a Ruth Messenger.
We've got to get Mom Donnie. And we believe he's
most strongly committed to making new York more affordable and fairer.
(09:16):
Residents in the building furious, fuming, and she actually said,
we've got to tax the rich. This is the building
they live in. Now. Let me bring up something. There's
a lot of Jewish organizations, a few, not a lot.
There's a few that were backing Mom Donnie. There were
some in Brooklyn that seemed to be backing Mom Donnie.
(09:36):
It's horrible. How could they back Mom Donnie. Well, if
you talk to them off the record, they may have
endorsed them, but they're all not voting. They're all voting
against Mom Donnie. They may have endorsed them publicly just
to make sure they're on a good side of him
in case, but they're not voting for None of them
are voting for him. And that's what really counts New Jersey.
(09:58):
I don't know. I don't know. It's pretty close. In fact,
a lot of these polls have Mikey Cheryl with a
very very slight lead. I don't know. I can't tell
in New Jersey, just can't tell what's gonna happen. But
there's a couple of things. New Jersey has never gone
with the same party three times in a row, so
(10:20):
Democrats have had their two times they're due for a
public and I don't know if that holds up that
whole thing, but they normally don't do it three times
in a row. Mikey Cheryl. She hasn't got much of
a campaign, very weak campaign. Her big point that she's
pushing with voters is that she can fly a helicopter.
I don't know what that has to do with being governor.
(10:41):
I mean, you go join the state troopers. I think
they use helicopters. You could help them, But flying a helicopter,
no big deal. And the other part of the campaign
is we hate Trump and Chitdarelli, who's not that close
to Trump. He has no real association with Trump, but
she keeps you pushing.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
That on every single occasion. Jack has decided I'm gonna
defend Trump. He even gives Trump and a go guys,
I give Trump.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
And f Yeah, okay, great. He gave him an A
and something seventeen years ago that he's bringing up.
Speaker 5 (11:17):
They donated hundreds of millions to his campaign and they're
now getting rich up the higher utility prices that New
Jersey families are being forced to pay.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Yeah, she didn't have that a great boy. She's not.
I'm kind of irritating. I listened to So apparently they
did some internal polling. They saw they got alarmed, so
they called for Obama. Obama endorsed her a couple of
weeks ago with a video that's the endorsement. But apparently
they saw trouble. They didn't they didn't like what they
(11:47):
were seeing pollwise, and they're pulling. So they got Obama
to come in and campaign for her. And he does
what he does. He takes off the suit, he puts
on that work shirt, and he instead of sounding like
a like an Ivy League graduate, all sudden he talks
with that you know, he does that yelling and screaming.
And there he was in New Jersey this weekend.
Speaker 6 (12:06):
You've got a candidate for governor.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Governor who's a proven fighter, who's got a track record.
Speaker 6 (12:12):
I'm getting stuff done, somebody who sees you and knows
your struggles.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
She has a track record of getting things done. I
don't know what you got done, but see now, Normally
when you talk to Aboonda, he said, yes, the governor,
he's a track record of getting things done. But when
he's on the campaign trail, a governor getting things done.
There's no G on the end of any word anymore.
It's not getting anything done, it's getting anything. He puts
on that fake voice for the campaign. Here he is
(12:40):
in New Jersey.
Speaker 6 (12:41):
You have a candidate worth being excited about. You've got
a future governor to be excited about.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
In microsot, I got to be honest, you know, when
I hear her voice, Wait, can't the way she talks,
it doesn't get me. I don't get too excited about it.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
On every single occasion, Jack has decided I'm gonna defend Trump.
He even gives Trump and all.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Be honest, I didn't get excited listening to that.
Speaker 5 (13:10):
Maybe they donated hundreds of millions to his campaign and
they're now hitting Rinch on the higheringility prices that you.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Know, excited might not be the correct word. So the
mayor race, everybody out campaigning like crazy. And we'll talk
to Curtis in the next hour. Hey, Saturday Night Live,
We'll ask him about this. H Saturday Night Live. The
opening sketch was about the mayor race, and they recreated
the mayoral debate in a lot of little New York
(13:38):
detail things only really New Yorkers would get. It's a
show that's seen around the country. I don't know if
they all get this. For instance, Curtis, there was a
guy playing Curtis, a guy playing Cuomo, a guy playing
Mom Donnie. Here's the Curtis character.
Speaker 7 (13:50):
I'm thrilled to be here and not getting shot in
the back of a yellow cab five times by the
Gottis and Gambinos, as I was famously in nineteen nine,
nineteen ninety three, and ninety four. But I'm the right
choice to be a next mayor. No offense to my opponents,
mister Cuomo, and I believe I'm saying this right.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
Zoltah, Rob Zombie. That's pretty funny, But I don't know
that most people around the country get. Curtis was shot
by the mafia. First, they beat him up with baseball bats.
They didn't like what he was saying about them on
the air. He was in the hospital, beatn to a pulp,
and from his hospital bed kept announcing them. It wouldn't stop.
(14:31):
So they watched his routine. They saw every morning, what
time he leaves, what time he hails a cab. And
they got a cab and pretended it was a regular cab,
and then they knew what time to drive by, and
they picked him up and they got him in the
back and they shot him five times, and it was
just like in The Godfather, where there what's his name
says they shot him five five bullets and he's still alive. Well,
(14:53):
that's Curtis, And then of course went right back on
the air and started announcing him again. So you cannot
pressure Curtis. Cannot be done. If he stood up to that,
he's going to stand up to a couple of billionaires
calling I'm trying to bribe him out of the race.
We'll get to that one. He'll be with us next hour.
We'll ask him about that. But you can't pressure Curtis.
Nobody can get Curtis ever to give up or back down. Now,
(15:15):
the guy playing Cuomo played him as a sleazy, oily
old politician. This is the Cuomo character.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
As we all know.
Speaker 7 (15:23):
As soon as you are elected Maya, everyone in the
city immediately hates you. And in that way, I am
already one step out of the game.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
So you know Clomo's got this. If you watch his ads,
he's ready day one. That's this big thing, said Mikey Cheryl.
She can fly a helicopter, he's supposed to vote for
this guy. I'm ready day one. You know, I've never
seen anybody anybody gets elected seems to be ready day one.
Can you think if anybody got elected and then called
(15:53):
in and said, I'm just not ready. I can't come in.
I'm not ready, so ready day one. Flying a helicopter
doesn't mean it's the guy playing mom, Donnie.
Speaker 8 (16:01):
I want to be mayor so I can deliver a
better New York free healthcare, affordable housing, free Wi Fi.
Speaker 9 (16:09):
As mayor, Can I make that happen?
Speaker 2 (16:11):
I'm not sure yet, but together we're gonna find out
that the answer is no.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
All right, not bad, not bad, pretty good for you,
saturing life anyway, we'll get back to the mayor oll race.
We'll get to sixty minutes. Trump sat down with sixty
minutes for his very first interview since the takeover by
the good guys running CBS. Now we'll get to that.
We'll get to the marathon and a whole lot more
coming up. We'll take some calls next. Curtis will be
(16:40):
with us too. We'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred
three to two one zero seven ten is the number
eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Now back to the Mark Simo Show on WOR.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Let's take some calls. Let's go to Danny and Queen's Danny,
how you and.
Speaker 10 (17:01):
More than mark two points. First one is why does
the group ofatorial candidate New Jersey Cheryl? Why does she
refuse to use her real name of Rebecca Cheryl.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Get to the second point that doesn't.
Speaker 10 (17:15):
Mean any thing and call job the Republican Party in
New York that they would have allowed this debacle to
occur with Curtis Sleever, why can't they find a well.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Curtis is a good candidate. The problem with the Republican Party,
and you're absolutely right, is it's tiny, it's minuscule. Problem
is if you're you know, if you're a Democrat, they've
got a massive party operation. They supply you with everything,
you know, a huge manpower staff. They got. Most important
thing is what they call the ground game. Get everybody
out to the vote, knock on doors election day, go
pick up voters, bring them to pulic. Democratic ground game
(17:48):
is like sixty five thousand people. Republican Party they claim
eight hundred. But you're absolutely right. The Republican Party is
a tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny little operation here in New
York Cityocratic Party. It's a massive machine. Things would be
different if we could fix that. Let's go to Mara
in Nevada. Mara, how you.
Speaker 11 (18:07):
Doing so good?
Speaker 12 (18:08):
I'm talking to you Chaw Vincent Mark. First, I got
a new member of the Golden Oldies, Phyllis. She called
in ninety two. She's been listening to you for years.
Now Here is why I call you that.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
They have like a Golden Girls fan club. Half of
them are names.
Speaker 12 (18:24):
I know, we we we love you, we love you
to keep it look Mark. The other day, Vincent and
I were commiserating about the outcome of the Belove in
New York City. If Mondannie gets it now, we don't
understand why the bodega owners are backing him. What's doing well?
Speaker 1 (18:43):
They're not. They're not, they're not, they're not. No, that
was just the union boss and many of them have
quit the union over it. But good point, Mara, thanks
for calling.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
You.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Got to remember a lot of times when they say
the so and so union is back, it's the union president.
Because they candidate will offerm whatever, offer all kinds of
things to back them. That happens a lot of times
with the union, Big whatever, automotive you the back Obama. Meantime,
all the workers are voting against them. It's just the
union boss in exchange for stuff. Well publicly back them.
(19:14):
Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how you doing.
Speaker 8 (19:17):
Good morning, Mark. I'm doing very well. Thank you, Mark.
I read this Morning and Showbiz four one one Roger
Freeman's website that Gail King will not have her contract
renew due to sky Dance slash CBS. Now, can she
actually do a syndicate a talk show? Does she have
the talent?
Speaker 1 (19:33):
She did that once years ago. She did that in
the nineties and it was a total bomb, complete disaster.
I remember she did it out from Hartford, Connecticut. But
it was the same you know people that do Oprah
her best friend. They syndicated disaster didn't last good, good question, Dave. Now,
the reason they get getting rid of Gail King, They're
just trying to figure out how to do it. She's
a nasty, nasty, vicious kind of they don't want a
(19:56):
lot of trouble. She's the kind of person that I'll
really go after him. That have been very careful how
they get rid of her. The left wing people will
tell you, well, this is terrible. It's because she's liberal,
it's because she's in last place. It's the lowest rated,
the last place network morning show and television every single
day with her, So it's just a no brainer to
get rid of her. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
(20:17):
how you doing, good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
Speaker 13 (20:21):
This mayoral race is going to really illustrate one of
the great Democrat con jobs in the election history, I think,
because they put up two candidates, one not much different
than the other, so it's a sophie's choice, and the
result is going to also permanently work for a long
time kill the Republicans because they can all blame Curtis
(20:44):
for losing the race to Cuomo and it's gonna so
they accomplished two things at once, and it's really very interesting.
And it's also going to be interesting watching Mamdani, an
Islamic radical, presiding over the next year's twenty fifth anniversary
nine to eleven.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
Oh god, well, we don't know what's going to happen yet.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. But a good point, Mike,
don't blame Curtis or anything you want to blame somebody,
Blame Cuomo. He was so bad in the primary. He
ran in the Democratic primary against Mom Donnie. Culomo was
so weak in the debates. He got beaten to a
pulp in both debates. I don't know what he was
doing as far as campaign, he was like a zombie, slow,
(21:24):
doing nothing. He should have stopped this, should have been
stopped in the primary. Blame Cuomo for it being a
total disaster in the primary. That's how Mom Donnie got
the Democratic de nomination. And that's the dangerous part. One more,
Let's go to Mike and Long Island. Mike, what do
you want to say?
Speaker 2 (21:41):
Hey, Mark, good morning morning. You've mentioned many times that
the governor can remove a mayor. My question is if
if Mom Donnie wins and Stephanic becomes governor, does she
need just cause to remove him?
Speaker 1 (21:53):
What's the process she can remove No, fine, you just
find something you can remove him. I think the last
time it happened was Fdr Franklin Dolno. Roosevelt removed Jimmy Walker,
who was the mayor of New York. In that case,
they accused him of corruption. Then they go after you,
and then he removed him. Actually, in that case, I
(22:13):
think Walker fled before getting removed. But it can be done.
Problem Miss JKL won't do it. She's terrified of the
left primary in her she's got a run for re
election next year, so she's terrified of the left wing
of the party, so she won't have the guts to
do it. But again, if Stefanic gets elected, and if
Mom Donnie were to become mayor, that would be the
(22:35):
whole theme of the gubernatorial election. Who vows to remove
Mom Donnie? And half the votes for governor come from
New York, so it'd be a big, big issue. Hey,
Michael Goodwin not with us this week, but we'll get
to Howie Carr. We'll fill in. We'll talk to Howie
Carr next on seven to ten WR.
Speaker 14 (22:55):
On seventeen R.
Speaker 1 (22:58):
He's more of The Marsh Show. Well, hey, Howie Carr,
the great radio host talk show hosts. You should be
listening to him. You can hear him on the iHeart app.
On iHeart you can get his podcast. Also get his
latest book, Mass Corruption, or any of his best sellers.
You just go to Howie Carshow dot com. You get
everything there Howie Carshow dot com. Howie Carr, How you doing.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
Very good? What's going to happen tomorrow? Does Cuomo have
a chance?
Speaker 1 (23:27):
Well, let me ask you, how did we get in
a situation where we've got to choose between a communist
wacko nut job, a sleazy old politician who just resigned
in disgrace from his last job, and we like Curtis
but everybody says he can't win. How did we get
in this mess?
Speaker 3 (23:42):
These are abstract questions.
Speaker 15 (23:44):
You know, I'm more concerned about the future of the
city that my daughter lives in that I've spent my
life visiting and enjoying, you know. I mean, does he
eat this, Cuomo have a chance or not? I mean,
we can consider, we can ponder the idell lack vitual
ramifications of this on Wednesday, but first we got to
stop the communist.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
Well, I can't tell you because the voter turnout is
like six times normal. Almost a million people have already voted.
This is unheard of. It's going to voting will hit
two million, which is way beyond anything. So I think
the polls are all wrong. What do you think?
Speaker 3 (24:22):
Yeah, I mean I hope.
Speaker 15 (24:23):
So I finally got my daughter out to vote her
and her boyfriend the West village to vote for Cuomo
on on Saturday, in the early last day of the
early voting. I guess and and you know, she said, oh,
you know, it seems it doesn't seem all that bad.
It's the people seem normal, and a lot of them
seem Jewish. And I said, I don't think being Jewish
(24:44):
has anything to do with it. I mean, what do
the polls say that he's going to Bendami is going
to get thirty percent of the Jewish vote.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
I mean, how insane is that?
Speaker 1 (24:53):
Well, yeah, but you know, people say, well, I saw
a lot of Jewish people, you're in a Jewish neighborhood.
Or I saw a lot of old people voting, Well,
you're in the Upper West Side, old people.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
A lot of Italians voting on Staten Island.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
Yeah, so, uh, I don't know. But you know, you
understand everybody hates Cuomo. They just hate Cuomo.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
No, I understand.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
I hate him too, you know.
Speaker 15 (25:16):
I mean, I'm still angry about changing the name of
the tappan Z Bridge. You know, that doesn't even show
up in most of the polls, but it really bugs
the hell out of me. Being from New England, I
used to like the Tappings, going over and seeing that sign.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
You know, yeah, I mean what they you know, what
about cultural appropriation.
Speaker 15 (25:31):
They took away the name of the Indians that the Tappen,
that's a tribe of Indians.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
How dare they?
Speaker 9 (25:38):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (25:39):
Have you ever seen this before? There were somebody everybody
says we must vote for the worst guy in the
world just to stop the totally evil guy.
Speaker 15 (25:48):
Remember Roy when Edwin Edwards was running in Louisiana, you know,
coming out of prison against David Duke that got from
the clan, and they had those bumper stickers vote for
the crook.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
It's important.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
Oh yeah, it happens.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
It happens.
Speaker 15 (26:02):
And you know James Michael Curley in Boston was he
did two terms in prison. You know, he did it
for a friend. That's what they said, service exitemen went
to prison. I mean, this is this is not the
new Marion Barry in d C. Yeah, I mean, you
know they you know, I mean, but you know, Cuomo
is just terrible across the board everywhere you want to look,
(26:24):
he's terrible. But you know the thing is it's that
there's the old saying the devil, you know, is better
than the devil. You don't know, And I think I
think that's what it is. I mean, I don't know.
Maybe this is just a you know, a mood point
that he's that Mandomie's already wont I hope not, but no,
who knows.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
And again, the turnout is so enormous, you got to
figure the poles just haven't been able to measure that.
There's a lot of Mondani voters, new voters, first time
voters usually don't get spotted by pollsters. The older people,
uh both. Has there ever been a case before, Yeah,
of course where the polls were totally wrong. There must
have been.
Speaker 15 (27:02):
Yeah, I think, you know, there's always been that, you know,
the George Wallace effect going going way back. People didn't
want to say they were for George Wallace. When when
Bradley the mayor of la the black guy was running
against Dukenasian. I mean, people didn't want to admit they
weren't voting for Bradley. He was a terrible mayor. And yeah,
you know that's I mean, I think there's I think
(27:22):
there's been a.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Lot of that. I I don't know, you know. The
other thing, my daughter called.
Speaker 15 (27:27):
Me that the ballot is rather confusing, you know that,
you know, almost that is bad thing. I mean, it's
it's unfortunate. But the further up you are on the ballot,
the more votes you get. It's just the way it's
always been. And I guess Cuomo's at the very bottom.
And Mamdani's got two lines on the ballot, you know,
because he wasn't he wasn't planning on winning the primary,
(27:48):
you know, originally, so so that you got two places
to vote from, Mam Donnie, and they're both I had
a Cuomo. I mean, that's another another drawback.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
But I don't know.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
I mean, it's all Cuomo's fault. He was a disaster
in the primaries. He really stunk in the debate.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
So he is and he was and again he was
a terrible guy. I mean, go down the list.
Speaker 15 (28:08):
I mean bail reform, uh, telling, telling conservatives and pro
life people, pro Second Amendment people they shouldn't get the
hell out of the state. I mean, that was a
long time ago, and you know, and you know the
sexual harassment charges and the worst thing of all, of
course was the COVID you know, the total mismanagement of
that and then attacking Trump for it, not even using
(28:29):
the not even using the hospital ships that they sent
up to the to the West side, to the docs.
And I mean everything, everything about him is terrible. But
I mean this is the you know, we don't live
in a perfect world mark. This is just the latest
example of it, right, I mean, the declient can be
somewhat managed. I mean, I think maybe there's a little
(28:51):
hysteria today, you know, in that poll that came out
of the post. But I mean, don't you hear people.
I mean, I know you're you know, you're super pro
New York and all, but don't you hear people talking
about moving out?
Speaker 3 (29:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (29:03):
But hey, so many millions moved out under Cuomo's governor.
We lost four congressional seats because of him, because of
people moving out.
Speaker 15 (29:10):
Right, But I think this is I think, you know,
I've been thinking about this. I watched, you know, the
values of property skyrocket here in Palm Beach during COVID.
I think this could I think this could be a
bigger exodus, you know, economic flight than COVID.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
I really do.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Well, then give him mom Downey. Credit will solve the
traffic problem. At least.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
The credit.
Speaker 15 (29:35):
We thought that, we thought that in COVID. You know,
the thing is his his voters don't have jobs, so
you know they're still going to be you know, going
around carjacking and going to the welfare office and going
on shopliftings, freeze and out on Long Island.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
Just don't be just the way. I don't think the
traffic's going to get that much better.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Yeah, and we don't have much timelift. Speaking on Palm Beach,
mar A Lago, this was the big reopening this weekend,
Halloween weekend, mar Alago reopened.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
Yep, he came.
Speaker 15 (30:04):
He came down early twelve forty was my wife got
caught in the traffic GM at you know, nine o'clock
on Saturday, that's when he usually leaves to go play
around a golf. Yeah, he's gonna be He's going to
be down here a lot this weather, I think, and.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
It's going to be good. I like, I like Kevin
in there. You know it's good. It's the winter White
House and it's the autumn White House.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
It's pretty amazing. The president. Normally, when you leave for
a weekend, the President, you go stay at Camp David
in like a log camp. This guy goes to the biggest,
most glamorous resort in the world, and then he's the
only president he ever comes back to the White House.
It seems kind of dumpy compared to where he was.
That's why he's building the ballroom. He built a big
ballroom in mar A Lago. Now he's going to do
(30:50):
the same thing for the White House. He'd improved the
hell out of mar A Lago and made it even
more valuable. I think I tend to think the same thing,
and it's going to happen with the with the ballroom.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
On the East wing. People just don't want to admit it.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Democrats, Hey, everybody, I get Howie Carr's latest book, Mass Corruption.
Is it still? Best place is your website to get it?
Speaker 9 (31:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (31:12):
We still well.
Speaker 15 (31:13):
I think Amazon laid off all their people, so we're
dealing with AI. They said, we have no record of
doing business with you. No, only tens of thousands of dollars,
maybe one hundred thousand dollars with like five books. They
have no record of it, though apparently now they sit
they're telling.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
Me, But yeah, I get it. You can get it.
Speaker 15 (31:28):
It'll be on Amazon by the end of the week.
But get it at howikarshow dot com. Howikarshow dot com.
Click on store mark. I sent you a copy last week.
Oh okay, if you don't, If you don't have it already,
I sent it to the station.
Speaker 3 (31:39):
That's the right place, right.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
Yeah, we'll find it. I'll look for it today.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
But fifty fifth straight, so they get fifty fifth straight, right.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Yeah, everybody, go to Howie Carshow dot com and get
his show. Listen to his show is podcast. You can
go to iHeart and get it there, or you can
go to Howie Carshow dot com and get the book
at Howie Cars Show.
Speaker 3 (31:57):
Yeah. I agree, it's a good book. You'll enjoy it.
Speaker 15 (31:59):
The Mass Corruption Volume one the Cops, that's the title.
It's a There's and there's more all the time, more
breaking news this weekend for volumes.
Speaker 3 (32:10):
I'll tell you about that some other times.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
All right, Alry Carr, thanks for being here.
Speaker 3 (32:14):
All right, Okay, vote Cuomo.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
All right.
Speaker 3 (32:17):
I never thought i'd say it, but I'm saying it.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
Goodbye, take care. Well, you know what, in the next hour,
we'll have Curtis. Curtis will be here. We'll see what
he thinks about all of this. We love Curtis, and hey, hey,
Buck and Clay today. You know they do a great
show every day from noon to three. Buck Sexton, Clay Travis.
You'll want to be listening today. Big guest coming up,
Big exclusive today at one thirty me. I'll be the
(32:42):
guest at one thirty with Buck and Clay. So it
requires traveling. I have to go up to the tenth
floor where they are to do it. Buck and Clay
today noon to three. I'll be on at one thirty
on seven ten WR.
Speaker 5 (32:58):
It's more Mark Simone on seven tenor.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
Well, don't go away. We'll get to the mayoral race.
We'll go over in detail in the next hour at
Curtis will be with us. We'll talk to Curtis next hour,
right after the news seven to ten WR. Mister New
York Mark Simone, you're the best.
Speaker 14 (33:18):
Seven ten WR.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
We'll get to the mayoral race in just a second,
and we'll get to the World Series and Curtis will
be with us. Curtis ly Well, we'll join us a
little later this hour. We'll see what he's feeling like.
On the final day. It is the final day before
the election. There's no early voting today. Yesterday was the
last day. Yeah, yesterday was the last day. Seven hundred
(33:47):
and thirty five thousand early votes. That's like six times normal,
that is through the roof. It's huge. It's expected that
we'll get over two million voters in this election after
election day tomorrow. Normally we could end up with three
four hundred thousand five. So this is big, very very
very big. Turnout is huge. Cuomo is doing better than
(34:09):
before he has searched, but Curtis is also surging. We've
seen that, so they're both surging. Cuomo was You still
got to blame him for this mess. There was a
Democratic primary. Mom Donnie was at zero, you know, a
weird extremist candidate that Remember, there was a whole bunch
of people in that Democratic primary. Cuomo scared Eric Adams
(34:31):
out of it. So Eric Adams didn't enter that Democratic primary,
and who knows he might have won. Cuomo scared him
out of it. You remember Cuomo before the primary began,
It scared a lot of people with his big name
recognition and his billions and billionaire donors, and everybody's afraid
to go up here. So Cuomo enters the Democratic primary
and is a disaster, a disaster, hardly campaign, no rallies,
(34:55):
no anything, no campaigning in the debates, he was a
complete disaster. He got wiped out by Mam Donni in
the first debate, second debate, got beaten up even more.
It was a disaster. So he lost the primary. And
he was so bad in those debates and Mom Donni
just used him as a punching bag and it really
helped Mam Donnie take off. He ended up slaughtering Cuomo
(35:16):
in the final vote. Had nothing to do with rank
choice voting, just slaughtered him in that final vote. So
that's how we end up with Mom Donnie. Then Cuomo
goes on to some third party ballot and tries to
tries to come back, and he's done well, He's done better.
He's been a much better campaigner. He was rotten in
the first debate, but in that last general election mayoral debate,
(35:37):
he was pretty good. Curtis won the debate easily on
issues on content. But Cuomo suddenly had energy, suddenly had
a little fire. A lot of people think they injected
him with one of those Joe Biden wake up drugs,
wake up injections. So and they've all been campaigning like crazy.
Cuomo still hasn't opened a campaign office, but okay, but
(35:58):
he's been out there. He's been out there campaigning all weekend.
Speaker 16 (36:01):
Three buses, Yeah, that sounds great. He doesn't run the buses.
The state runs the buses. And the state said that
that's not going to happen. Universal childcare because the state's
going to tax all the corporations, but all the money
goes to New York City. That's never going to happen.
None of it will happen. It's just this socialist talk.
(36:24):
Everything free, everything free.
Speaker 1 (36:27):
Yeah, okay, I promise we all know this already. Obviously
already knows this.
Speaker 16 (36:30):
I believe President Trump is from New York. I think
he cares about New York. He has friends in New York,
he has a lot of connections in New York. And
I think he would be open to a cooperative path
that is doing good things in New York in cooperation
with the federal government. I think you would like to
see New York better.
Speaker 1 (36:51):
I believe that. Yeah. Now, behind the scenes, President Trump
has been working day and night to get Curtis out
of the race late for that. I don't agree with
him on that, but that's what he's been trying to do.
He's been trying to help Cuomo. He thinks Cloma is
the only one that can win. There are a lot
of people that think that. But he's been working like
(37:13):
crazy to get Sliva out. It's not going to happen.
Curtis is not a quitter, never has been, never will be.
Here's more of Cuomo.
Speaker 16 (37:20):
President Trump said, Curtis Sliwa is not ready for prime time,
and he's not ready for prime time. He's led this
group called the Guardian Angels for years, but he has
no managerial experience, no government experience, and he's basically defrauded
New Yorkers in the past. So he's not ready for
(37:43):
prime time, and he is a spoiler in the race.
The only thing he can do is make Mom Donnie
a winner, because any vote for Curtis is a vote
for Mom Donnie.
Speaker 1 (37:55):
Yeah, now you've got to put a lot of asterisk
on it. He never defrauded New York. I think he's
referring to something he did a publicity stunt once turned
out out to be true. But you talk about defrauding
New York. I think Cuomo did have to leave office
in disgrace. He was under investigation by the Ethics Committee
as well for that. Sleazy book deal and and a spoiler.
(38:16):
You can't be a spoiler if you're a major party candidate. Remember,
Curtis is the Republican nominee, Mam Donnie is the Democratic nominee.
It was Cuomo who could not get a major party win.
He lost the primary. Democrats rejected him in the primary.
So let's see. Here's more a Cuomo.
Speaker 16 (38:36):
He thinks Mandami, who equals a communist, would be horrendous
for New York.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
By the way, I agree.
Speaker 16 (38:43):
And this is the far left of the Democratic Party,
the socialist wing of the Democratic Party, trying.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
To take over New York City. Kind of the problem.
He over explains everything to you. Cuomo talks to you
like you're the one that's to bit and he talks
too slow, and he over explains. And now Curtis, they're
still telling him to drop out. You can't. I'll ask him.
He'll quakers will be with a few minutes. He couldn't
drop out if he wanted to. You can't drop out.
(39:13):
You can't get your name off the ballot. You can't.
We'll ask him when he's here. But he's I've known
Curtis for a million years. This guy never quit anything
in his life. They're all trying to get me out
of this race.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
I guess what, I'm in it to win it.
Speaker 9 (39:25):
I'm the only Republican, the law and order candidate. I'm
Rudy Giuliani two point zero.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
Whoa.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
He can say that because Rudy Giuliani is endorsing him
and has said one thousand percent behind him.
Speaker 9 (39:37):
Jorhan Mandami Hao.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
He's very affable.
Speaker 9 (39:40):
It's like that song remember Shad Day nineteen eighty four,
Smooth Operator.
Speaker 3 (39:45):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 9 (39:45):
I always think of Barack Obama the prince of the
smooth Operator.
Speaker 1 (39:49):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 9 (39:49):
And on the JV he'sha Mandami amen ah. When he lies, yes,
nose doesn't get bigger, he smile gets larger.
Speaker 1 (39:59):
Yeah, you gotta. I admit Curtis is the best on
the campaign trail. And he's right, Mam, Donnie is an Obama.
Obama was the same kind of thing. Not a communist,
but Obama was a guy with no resume, never had
a real job in his life, community organized or whatever
the hell that was, but never had a real job,
just a very brief career in the legislature, and all
(40:19):
of a sudden running for the biggest management management job
in the world. But he did it with a smile
and style and being very articulate and smooth talking. He's
the socialist Obama.
Speaker 9 (40:30):
If you're on the thirty in Europe, female.
Speaker 1 (40:32):
Right now, this is him on Cuomo Curtis.
Speaker 9 (40:34):
If you're on the thirty in you're a female, he's flirty.
If you're over sixty five, he could end up killing
you in a long term nursing home. Jaub oh Man,
you're only safe if you're between dirty and sixty five,
A multiply handy and handsy andy.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
Yeah, pretty good, pretty good. Let me see if there's
any more here now, we'll ask Curtis. He'll be here
later this hour. These billionaire are all calling them, trying
to get him out of the race. They're all trying
to bribe, and they're offering money jobs, they're all anything.
They're trying to bribe. Listen to Curtis.
Speaker 9 (41:07):
I told them what you're doing is that that the goal.
Speaker 17 (41:13):
It's bribery and it might be illegal, And the next
time you talk to me, I'll be winded up like
a Christmas Street.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
More formal.
Speaker 16 (41:26):
Let me see, I will build affordable hundreds of thousands
of units of affordable housing. I did it as secretary
all across the nation. And that's how you're going to
get the rent down by increasing the supply. I will
hire five thousand police officers and make New York City safer,
and put fifteen hundred on the subways and make the
(41:48):
subways safer.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
Right, lots of promises, lots of promises, but he certainly
didn't do all that stuff as governor. But hey, very
important thing. We have listeners all over the tri state.
If you're in Westchester, everybody's got to get out and
vote tomorrow. It's not just the mayoral race, but you
got to get out and vote. Very important. If you're
in Manhattan, get rid of the district Attorney, Alvin Bragg.
(42:11):
Vote for Maud Maren the Republican. She'll put people in
jail onlike Alvin Bragg, So very important. Get rid of
Alvin Bragg. Vote for Maud Marron, great strong law enforcement
DA candidate. That's in Manhattan. Wherever you are in New
York City, get rid of your city council crazy left loons. Now,
if you want to protect yourself against Mom Donnie, this
(42:33):
is what you got to do. Get as many Republicans
as you can in the city Council, and if you
live in Westchester, you're going to have to protect against
Mom Donnie. So make sure you vote for the Republican
candidate tomorrow for county executive. I forget her name, Is
it her? I think not sure? Well, whoever, it doesn't
matter who it is. Just pull the Republican lever in
(42:54):
Westchester County. Get yourself a Republican county executive tomorrow in
west Now, if you're in Nassau County, Bruce Blakeman is
the best county executive in America. Everybody loves him, but
he's still up for reelection, so make sure you get
out there and vote for him. There's been early voting
in Nassau County. They say heavy, heavy Republican turnout has
(43:15):
been going on. But just to be sure, get out
there and vote for Bruce Blakeman tomorrow Nassau County Executive.
If you're in New Jersey, of course, vote for Jack Chittarelly,
who's it's very close in the polls, very good. Christine
Sculty is the one running in Westchester for County executive.
Christine Scalty, make sure you vote for her. May vote
(43:38):
for Chittarelly in New Jersey tomorrow, Connecticut. I don't know
to tell you who's Oh, Greenwich, Connecticut seems to be
the suburb everybody's going to flee to. There's a report
now that prices in Greenwich, Connecticut, that's the closest and
nicest town in Connecticut. Prices are going crazy. Inventory is
down to practically nothing. But you got the best mayor
(44:00):
you've ever had there, Fred Camillo. He's the Republican. Make
sure you reelect him tomorrow. Vote for Fred Camillo. Very popular,
he's been two terms already. Great great mayor there, Fred Camillo.
Well else, Yes, city council is important. Changed that city
council because they believe or not, city council actually has
more power to do things in New York than the
(44:22):
mayor does. Curtis not getting out of the race. Stop
with that. As we mentioned before, the mob tried to
stop him. They sent like four guys with baseball bats
who beat him to a pulp. That didn't stop him.
He kept attacking. They got him in the back of
a cab, shot him five times from his hospital bett.
He kept attacking him. That was quite an instant. In fact,
(44:45):
we all used to work at the other place. Back then,
Rush Shawn me everybody. Curtis got shot five times. It
was just like in The Godfather, Remember where Salatso says
five bullets, the guy's still alive. Well that was Curtis.
Next day Rush bought Curtis and Suv said, don't get
in any more cabs, use this car. I remember I
(45:08):
used to It was remembers Curtis and Koobe. They were
the number one morning show for you remember, of course, big, big, big,
big morning show for twenty years. But I used to
fill in a lot, and I remember it. Right after
he was shot. It'd be me and Curtis in the
studio with twelve detectives, right after the shooting, surrounded by
(45:28):
detectives around the clock, because apparently the mob was still
out to get him. If that didn't get them to stop.
I don't think a few billionaires with their bribes is
going to do any good. Marathon yesterday, New York Marathon.
This is called the Kenya Marathon. Nobody in New York's
going to win this marathon. Nobody in New York's going
to even come close. Now today, walking to work all
(45:52):
over the street, are these people with the medals on
the marathon medals. Apparently they're all staying in this neighborhood
around the station, all the hotels. This is where they are,
and they walk around with the medals on. You know,
it's like these people that won't take the ski lift
tickets off the jacket. They got all the ski lift
tags there, so you're supposed to see that. They're excuse
(46:13):
so you're supposed to see the metal. One year, somebody
came to work with the marathon medal. Everybody was so
crist So I went on eBay. I bought like six
marathon medals from previous years. I just put them all
on and came in with that on. Although I got
to admit I saw these medals on people today. It's
the best looking marathon medal I've ever seen. I mean,
(46:33):
just as jewelry. It's beautiful. Hey, Barack Obama was in
New Jersey campaigning for Mikey Cheryl and he started going
after Trump, and he started attacking the ballroom that Trump
is building on the East Wing. You've seen the pictures
of the drawings. The ballroom is going to be magnificent.
(46:54):
When the most beautiful ballrooms ever built. It's absolutely spectacular,
and there was Obama attack. A lot of people thought
that was really crazy, since he is currently building what
is considered to be the single ugliest building ever built
in America. Go take a look at my Twitter if
you want to see it. It's up. Pictures are up
there on Twitter. It's the it's his presidential library. It
(47:16):
is the most hideous, ugly building everybody's ever seen. People
think that the pictures are a joke. This is actually
his presidential library. It's a big, ugly, enormous, like five
story slab of concrete. It looks like a big tombstone.
It says gray, ugly cement. It's the ugliest building you've
ever seen. And he probably should be investigated and arrested
(47:40):
for what he's doing because they raised eight hundred and
fifty million and they've spent it and now it's they're
having overruns. If you look at this building, if I
told you this building costs a million dollars, you'd think
I was insane. He's supposedly spent eight hundred and fifty
million on this hideous, ridiculous looking building that's disgusting looking,
(48:02):
and he has the nerve to criticize the ballroom unbelievable.
So oh World Series. That was quite a game. Actually,
I don't really care about Dodgers. Well, I guess I
like the Dodgers. I don't really care about the Toronto
Blue Jays, although they seem to have more American players
on the Blue Jays than on the Dodgers. But it
(48:24):
was quite an ending, quite a final game. Here's the
final call, double play end of the game.
Speaker 14 (48:29):
EDEO two swinging a broken bat roller out to short
that's up with it steps out second on.
Speaker 17 (48:35):
The first and it's a double play, and the Dodgers
have won it. Here in eleven the Dodgers turned the
double play and finish off the.
Speaker 14 (48:45):
Jays five for the final. The Dodgers repeat champions for
the first time in baseball in twenty five years.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
No, of course it's Los Angeles. The Dodgers won, so
naturally in Los Angeles. Everybody's out in the street rioting,
cops that are used tear gas people totally. I control fires, looting,
every that's Los Angeles. Hey, Curtis will be with us
in a few minutes. We'll talk to Curtis lee Win
a few minutes. We'll take some calls. Next eight hundred
three to two one zero seven ten. Is the number
(49:18):
eight hundred three two one zero seven ten the Mark
Simone Show on seven to ten. Woo Hey, Curtis will
be with us in a few minutes. But first let's
take some calls. Let's go to uh Sal in Brooklyn, Sal,
How you doing?
Speaker 11 (49:36):
I'm good.
Speaker 1 (49:37):
Are they taking a shower?
Speaker 16 (49:39):
Well?
Speaker 3 (49:40):
I was just shaving, shaving.
Speaker 1 (49:44):
Eleven thirty worse than me. Go ahead.
Speaker 11 (49:48):
We have to reform the illegal immigration system.
Speaker 1 (49:51):
I thought we were doing that.
Speaker 18 (49:54):
Is this the.
Speaker 11 (49:54):
Immigration Act of nineteen sixty five that's causing all these
Marxists in Islamist come into our country, and worse than that,
they're getting there being granted citizenship.
Speaker 1 (50:06):
Yeah, you can thank the Democrats in nineteen sixty five
for that immigration I guess it probably should change out. Well,
you can't come in if you're a Marxist looking to
destroy the country. You guys got start enforcing that, and
we hopefully are. The border is now closed and we
are grilling people before they come in. Let's go to
Joel in Florida. Joel, how you doing.
Speaker 19 (50:26):
Good morning, Mark, I hope you had a good weekend.
Good morning, Vincent, Good morning Mara. Just calling I know
you're going to have Curtis on shortly. I'm just calling
to encourage him. Don't let anything get in your way whatsoever.
The people of New York City are behind you. MONDOMMI
we know it's not from this area, from the New
York area, and Cuomo is not from New York. Curtis
(50:47):
Is has been, always will be because I want to
make sure that he's fully fully encourage keep ongoing.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
All right, thanks for calling. Unfortunately you're in Florida. You
can't vote here. You know, we got all these calls.
They're all in the suburbs. They're in Florida, they're in
Here's a guy in Wisconsin, Joseph, how you doing good?
Speaker 11 (51:05):
Good A Joe from a white Stone?
Speaker 3 (51:08):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (51:08):
I think I said Wisconsin. All right, go ahead, white Stone.
Speaker 9 (51:11):
Oh.
Speaker 10 (51:13):
I just want to say something about Donald Trump's Christmas
the Trump Watch. Why doesn't he come out with a
Trump hairspry.
Speaker 1 (51:23):
Well, you know, actually, if you want stuff, there is
a Trump's store. If you're in Manhattan, go to Trump Tower.
Trump Tower. Take the escalator, that's the one he came
down on when he announced the campaign. Take the escalator
downstairs the basement. There's a beautiful Trump's store. It's a
great place for Christmas shopping. They have everything Trump in there.
I mean obviously they got the hats, the shirts, but
(51:45):
everything toat bags, ashtrays, glasses, anything with Trump on it.
It's beautiful stuff too. So take a look down there.
Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
Speaker 18 (51:56):
Good morning, Mark, Good morning, Marraw, Good morning Joe. I
care about the Dodgers in fact, and I run my
first illegal gambling bet when Sandy Kofax was the pitcher
for the Dodgers back back in the day. Seriously, I
won my first bet, Mark. Carol Markowitz was on Buck
(52:18):
and Clay Show the other day and she referred to
these thirty percent of the so called ashke Nazi Jews
that have voted for Mandami. She called them the bagels
and cream cheese and the New York Times Jews. They
think they're Jews just because they do all of that.
Speaker 9 (52:38):
Mark.
Speaker 18 (52:40):
Yesterday, over the weekend, that creep, that big wind bag J. D.
Pritska of Chicago was addressing the teachers union out there.
First off, he usually when referring to Trump, he used
a lot of curses which were so class look like himself.
But this is a good idea. Why don't all these
(53:02):
big blue cities New York, La, Boston, Atlanta, the big
cities in Jersey, why don't they pony up the money
for the EBT cards for the snap benefits, because after all,
they took the money out of the city's colliz.
Speaker 1 (53:21):
Well, some of them are doing that. The governor's trying
to do that right now. But Vincent, great call. When
we come back, Curtis Leewell, we'll talk to him next.
We'll get all the latest on the race from Curtis.
We'll talk to him next on seven to ten. WR
get hits in access to Mark by setting a freeset
in the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
(53:44):
Now back to the Mark Simone Show on WR. I
thinking about how to introduce Curtis Well, what I think?
You don't have to introduce him. Everybody knows him, everybody
loves Curtis Lee. Well, he's the Republican candidate for mayor.
Make sure you get out there and vote tomorrow. And
he's with us right now. Curtis Leewall, how you doing.
Speaker 9 (54:02):
I'm doing great. I'm in Brooklyn, criss crossing the five
boroughs heading the Staten Island. And I got to tell
you there's a lot of energy out there, Mark, a
lot of love. And as you said, everybody loves Curtis.
Now I just got to get them to vote for me.
Speaker 1 (54:17):
Yeah, and you can vote for him tomorrow. And there's
no voting today but tomorrow. Hey, I got to ask
you this is a very important question. Did you watch
Saturday Night Live? Did you see the sketch they did?
Speaker 9 (54:28):
Yes? I did. I didn't watch it live, obviously, I
watched it in the wee hours of the morning, as
you know, Mark, having been my colleague for years. Yes,
I love satire. I love parodies and that's exactly what
Saturday Night Live is. Take it to leave it. It
has no impact on the campaign.
Speaker 1 (54:47):
Well, actually brought up the fact that your former life,
your bravery, courage standing up to the mob. No matter
what they did you, you didn't back down. They portrayed
Coomo as kind of a sleazy part politician, They did
the Mondami as a guy who can't deliver anything. So
take it as a compliment. It was pretty good for you.
Speaker 9 (55:06):
That's true. It pretty much came across that if you
were a young woman. If you are under thirty, Cuomo
would be flirty with you. So I got a good
belly laugh out of that.
Speaker 1 (55:17):
Yeah, now let me ask you again. The mob. They
tried to kill you numerous times, they shied you, they
did everything. You didn't back down. So why would a
billionaire think you're going to back down if he tries
to bribe you out of the race.
Speaker 9 (55:29):
Well, because Mark, as some have said to me, come on, Curtis,
everybody has a price. The final offer was ten million,
drop out of the race. Ten million. You'll be a hero,
I said, hero, I said, I'm the only Republican candidate.
I'm a mainstream Kennedy. You want me to throw my
support to a loser, a guy who, when he started
(55:52):
a March of twenty twenty five, was forty points ahead
of Johan Mandami in the Democratic primary. And you remember Mark,
nobody jo Amandami, only his neighbors and a story into it,
I said, because of Angel CMO's failure to campaign, it
elevated this guy, this this socialist, this guy wants to
destroy New York to international status. So now you're gonna
(56:16):
leave it to Angrew CMO again. Well, look, failure follows failure.
Speaker 1 (56:21):
Yeah. Hey, let me ask you a question. These people
that say get out of the race. You could not
get out of the race if you wanted to, could you?
How would you get out? You can't take your name
off the ballot?
Speaker 9 (56:31):
No, And it's interesting, Mark, you still have people say, oh,
you could drop out today? Are you nuts? Are you
people out there who babble this out of fear fright
and his steria of Johanmandami? Do you not understand it's
one person, one vote. Billionaires, influences, insiders are not gonna
pick the next mayor. The people are and you're You're
(56:54):
totally right, Mark. I am the Republican Kennedy. There are
only two major parties. Johan won his prime Mary fairren
square and kicked angew Adams. But there's no doubt about it.
Beat him by thirteen points convincingly. And I nobody challenged
me in a Republican primary. The time to challenge me
was then, So guess what I'm in it to win?
(57:15):
It got a lot of support out to have been
rallying people throughout the five boroughs and you know me, Mark,
twenty hours of a twenty four hour day, I'm campaigning.
I just came from Coney Island, Stillwell Avenue where I
laid a reef at the site where remember Debrina Kwam
was set on fire like a human torch December twenty
(57:36):
second of twenty twenty four by that illegal aliad. And
what was that the result of Democrats? What was that
to result off Eric Adams Swagerman with no plan, who
should have been in jail for corruption, and Andrew Cuomo
no cash bail, Cuomo raised eh Cuomo turned criminals loose
from Rights Island. Cuomo, And you think Democrats are gonna
(57:59):
rest door law enforcement to where it needs to be,
like in the days of Rudy Giuliani. No I am
Rudy Giuliani two point zero Marcus. You know he's endorsed me.
George Pataki has endorsed me. Ninety three. Rudy saved the city.
The next year PATTACKI beat to better. Cuomo, Mario Conmo.
We had no corruption, we had a reduction in crime
(58:22):
and no chaos. Then the Democrats came back with a vengine.
We had Dablagio. Then you had Cmo as governor who
fled fearing impeachment, and Eric Adams, who should be in jail,
more chaos, more corruption, more crime. It's obvious we go
the Republican route. Elect me mayor. Next year, we elect
congresswoman at least Stefani to be the governor. We poo
(58:45):
own Kathy Hokl, and we get this state and city
back on track.
Speaker 1 (58:49):
Now, when he says Rudy Giuliani two point out, let
me point out. Rudy Giuliani said, he's Rudy Giuliani two
point out. So Rudy himself said that, you know, mom,
Donnie only became a citizen like a couple months ago,
and he just recently became a US citizen, moved here.
Cuomo has lived his entire adult life in the suburbs.
You're an expert historian. If we ever had somebody run
(59:11):
from mayor who didn't live in New York City in
their adult life.
Speaker 9 (59:16):
No, no, that was almost a prerequisite that you had
that credibility. But again, times have changed, and Mark simone
one thing I can tell all of your listeners, Boy,
have you been consistent? Mark? You warned everybody in twenty
twenty one that if they elected Eric Adams against me
there would be chaos and corruption. You were spot on.
(59:38):
You've been with me every step of the way, and
I just want to thank you at WOORR because you've
been a strong supporter. They've given me equal opportunity to
speak on issues. The place that I left for ever, Mark,
I burned old bridges WABC ooh.
Speaker 1 (59:57):
Fo, well you did get that burning that bridge. We
all love that place. We were all there for years.
Speaker 9 (01:00:04):
That'll work out maybe maybe you Mark, not me. Damage
has been done. That's where this whole movement to drop
out sleeve was started. It should have never started in
the family, it did. So now hey, Mark, I get
to listen to WOR all the time. Isn't that great?
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
Well yeah, yeah, hey, doors always open here. But we
will hope you'll be mayor, but that that would be
even better for New York.
Speaker 9 (01:00:31):
Yeah, well, I'll tell you this. How about this ask
the mayor Friday's mid mornings. We get an hour a
courtis lee at some point in the day, and you
get to be the inquisitor of March Simone. Because nobody's
been on radio longer, nobody has the credibility of the
pedigree you do. Nobody knows more about radio than March Simon.
Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
Well thanks, Well, Curtis lely, what would be a great
mayor of New York? Now, what do you do tonight
and tomorrow? Obviously no campaign tomorrow, or do you still
do it?
Speaker 9 (01:01:02):
No? No, I go with my wife. She'll be voting
on a independent line she created for me. Protect animals,
no killed shelters, and we put animal abuses in jail.
And then I run around to all the policing sites
shaking the hands of the Board of Election employees. What
had been having to work hard with early voting, and
tomorrow we may have a record setting vote that hasn't
(01:01:24):
been equal since John Lindsey in nineteen sixty nine, the
miracle met half a million strong up the woodstock and
the first man walking on the moon. It's all come
full circle, Marks some one. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
The fact that the turnout is like five six times normal,
We'll probably hit over two million votes, which is unheard of.
What does that mean? Who are these extra people turning out?
Speaker 9 (01:01:48):
Don't know? Mark? I know my people were turning out
because we micro targeted them months in advance. And as
you know, that's what politics is now, That's how Trump
got elected. Overwhelmingly won the popular vote to seven battleground states.
The RNC was out there months and months ahead of time.
Door knocking, lid dropping, emails, snail mails, texting and phone
(01:02:11):
calls relentlessly. But the most important thing micro targeting. Knowing
where your voters are. We've been at this more than
three months. We know that's how Zoron won the primary.
I gotta tell you, Mark Simoon into Cuomo again, just
like in the primary, got a get out the vote
effort very late into this campaign. This has to be
(01:02:31):
done months and months ahead. And look, he's been a
dollar short, although he's had millions and millions and millions
from the billionaires, but a dollar short when it's time
to get that vote out. And he's been a dayly
and today he said he's partly gonna do retail campaigning.
He's going to come out of those closed meetings where
you get vetted, where you you're giving a band on
(01:02:55):
your wrisk to prove that you're a Cuomo supporter. He's
afraid he hasn't a version that deal with people. I
treat the public like a mosh pit. I'm in the
subways every day with friends and foes and a lot
of people asking questions. That's how you win elections. And
I will be campaigning right through the overnight, going from subways,
(01:03:16):
the streets, the diners and trying to get those last
votes before electioneering stops. And then we just wait for
the tabulation on November fourth tonight.
Speaker 1 (01:03:27):
That's tomorrow night, and so nine o'clock tomorrow night the
polls close. Where will you be tomorrow night?
Speaker 9 (01:03:33):
I'll probably still be fielding calls from Govans out there,
Mark Samon telling me to drop out. Suck sub be
your sub govon so still not We'll be saying, hey, Sleeward,
did you consider a unity taken that you consider dropping out?
I don't know. They've lost their minds smart, They've gone crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
How much money would you say? You've turned down? Twenty million,
thirty million altogether now.
Speaker 9 (01:03:59):
Now the seventh half pot was ten million dollars. And
then I warned them that from now on I will
be wired up like a Christmas tree, so anything they
offer to me will be heard by investigators. And all
of a sudden the call stop. And then what they
threatened my wife Nancy. They threatened me I now have
to travel with armed security. You know, Mark, you were
(01:04:21):
in the studios at WABC after I got shot. I
never had armed security, and the mob was still after me.
But this election cycle, the hate, the rhetoric, the absolute
insanity on the minds of some people have caused me
to have to protect the best thing that ever happened
to me, my wife Nancy, who's been with me side
(01:04:43):
by side in this campaign. Can't say that about Zoramandami.
We never see his wife. And hey, you know, with Andrew,
he's a little too handy. I don't think many women
want to be around him.
Speaker 1 (01:04:55):
Well, Curtis, good luck. I'd love to see his mayor.
You'd be a great mayor of New York. And we
don't know what's going to happen tomorrow, but good luck
with everything, and.
Speaker 9 (01:05:04):
We'll turn out. And you've always been there giving me
that tactically as report. I appreciate that, and I appreciate
all the listeners and those who have contributed to your
success at war.
Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
All right, Curtis, good luck, Thanks for being with us anytime. Mark,
all right, take care. Yeah, it's too crazy. Erase with
the polls. Their polls are not that accurate. We don't
know what's going to happen. You can't trust these polls.
Anything could happen tomorrow. Hey, Buck and Clay, excellent show
every day, Buck and Clay noon to three. I'll be
(01:05:36):
the guest today at I'll be one of the guests today.
I'll be on about one thirty on the Buck and
Clay Show. So'll be listening to that today on seven
to ten. WR Mark Simone, come on WR Hey, we're
out of time. I'll be back tomorrow. Tomorrow's election day.
Make sure you get out in votes. I'll be here
tomorrow ten to noon. I'll be a guest on Buck
(01:05:56):
and Clay today about one thirty. Uh, if you gotta,
if you can listen otherwise, they'll be here next noon
to three. And I'll talk to you tomorrow on seven
ten W O. R.
