Speaker 2 (00:25):
Hello, welcome to Love Your Body, Love Your Life. My
name is Jenna. I'm the host of today's show. I'm
also the author of the book titled Love Your Body,
Love Your Life, Fifty two Tips that will radically change
your health. And welcome to the show. You guys. I
have not been live in probably about a month now,
(00:48):
which I'm going to get into the reason why i
haven't been live other than the fact that I've actually
had a really busy summer. Normal, I have kind of
a slow summer, and it feels like it's going by
really slow. But for whatever reason, this year, I've been
(01:10):
invited to different engagements, different weddings, and so it's been
back to back something every single day for me, which
is not likely. I don't know what's happening, but for
whatever reason, this summer, I'm super busy. But so yeah,
so I'll just get dive right into it. Today's topic
(01:34):
is five beauty hacks that I'm currently loving. I guess
I can call them hacks. I don't normally use that word,
but beauty hacks, I guess is what we can call
these five tips or whatever. Oh, thank you Larry for
coming back. So Larry apparently listened to my last show
(01:56):
where I got into a personal story, and this show,
I'm actually going to share another personal story that's kind
of similar, but not so much. So if you guys
want to chime in and ask questions and make comments,
that's fine. I might not answer your questions right away,
but I do always encourage them. I love to see
(02:18):
you guys come back, So thank you so much. So
what I was saying was is the show is titled
five beauty Hacks I'm currently loving, but I I want
to talk and share a personal story that's going to
tie into beauty and wellness. Okay, so so okay. So
(02:41):
the reason the main reason why I have not been
live is because I had a cable issue. So if
you guys have been following my show, you'll know that
this last couple of shows have been having a delay.
So it happened to be that I needed new cable equipment,
(03:03):
so I called the cable company and they told me
that my cable equipment was like years old, which I
had no idea. I didn't get any kind of notice
or anything to tell me that I had old equipment.
I just knew because our show was being delayed, so
lo and behold. I called the cable company and figured
(03:26):
out that I needed new equipment, and they said that
they can mail it out to me, and I said, perfect,
mail it out to me. So it arrived in the
box a couple days later, and it literally sat in
my downstairs room because I do not know how to
install cable equipment, and like I mentioned when I first
(03:49):
started the show, it's been a super busy summer for me.
So I got busy and I just let it sit there.
And finally I called the cable company again and I said, hey,
I need to have somebody come out and install this equipment.
And they were like, okay, yeah, we can get you in.
(04:09):
I think it was the next day actually that they
got somebody on the route to come out. And so
it worked out because I on that specific day I
could technically work from home. And they give you this
crazy window of like from eight am to like six pm,
so you have to be home to kind of wait.
(04:30):
So it worked out. They told me that you know,
the guy would be out in this window of time.
I said, perfect. So this was a couple of weeks ago,
and so I was working from home all day. Was
kind of like just you know, expecting the text message
from the cable guy to tell me that he was
(04:52):
on his way. And you know, I was just like casually,
you know, in sweats and my hair in a ponytail.
I like I said, I was doing paperwork at home.
And also because I am really aware of that I
am a single woman and these guys are going to
(05:13):
come into my home. So I'm always hyper aware of
that when somebody's going to come into my home and
do any kind of work. So all day went by,
I got the text message around four fifteen that this
guy was on his way to my home to do
the cable and so so side note you guys, the
(05:36):
cable bill is still under my ex husband's name, which
if you guys have been following me, I shared a
story of my ex husband when I was live last time.
But anyway, so the cable bill is still under a
male's name, my ex husband. I play the bill but
it's just I never changed the name. No big deal.
So I get the text. So here we are, four
(05:58):
forty five. I get a text message from the cable
guy saying he's on his way in about ten minutes.
And so I said, cool, let me know when you're
at the gate and I'll let you in. So again,
you know, I'm dressed in hair and a ponytail, you know,
sweats on, a big sweatshirt on. And right before he came,
(06:20):
I intuitively heard in my gut to put on a
fake wedding ring. I don't know why I got this
gut feeling, this thought, random thought ran through my mind,
to put on a fake wedding ring. And I've learned,
you guys, not to dismiss that little voice that I'm
(06:41):
always talking about on the show too. Don't dismiss your
gut feelings. And so I've learned that I need to listen.
So I put on a fake wedding ring. And this
guy is now at my gate and I walk out again,
hair and a ponytail, sweats on, fake on, And I
walked out to the gate and from the other side
(07:06):
of the gate he's waiting for me, and he says, oh,
I was expecting Rick, who's my ex husband. I was
expecting him at the gate because he has names on
the bill, and he clearly looked at my bill or
my account and saw male's name and I was like, oh,
thinking okay, well that makes sense, right. I didn't say
(07:29):
much and I opened the gate. He's like, are you
missus Lobos? That's my last name, and I was like, yeah,
you know, just kind of obviously going along with the
whole missus and being married. I had with fake wedding
ring on. Don't know why I had the gut feeling
to put it on, but right away he says, are
(07:49):
you missus Lobos? And I said yeah, and he's like,
oh okay, And so right away I felt that was
kind of interesting because I've had cable guys come out
before who clearly can see that I have a male's
name on my bill, and they've never asked me right
off the bat, are you missus Lobos? Like I don't know,
(08:12):
I just felt weirdness right away. So he comes. He
proceeded to come in to start and starts setting up
the cable box, and you guys, honestly like he felt
very comfortable in my home almost too comfortable, like walking
around and like just it was a weird experience, and
(08:35):
you know, asking about my ex husband a lot, like
where is he? You know, I'm like, he's at work.
And it's just a weird kind of experience, you know,
weird feeling. And we had to wait till the cable
was like hooked up and stuff, you know, So there
was this lull of time, and so I was just
kind of watching it all, like kind of observing and
(08:58):
feeling a little nervous inside. But and so then he
asked me, can I look at your view? And I
said no, and to kind of like like check him
a little bit, you know, like no, like who are you?
You know, So I kind of checked him and he
was like, oh, like he kind of went like that,
like he kind of made like a baby face like
(09:19):
oh like. And I was like, oh my god, this
guy is something else. So and I was like, I'm
just kidding, go ahead, you can look at the view
right there. It wasn't like he had to go anyplace
else in my house. So he's looking at the view
and he was talking about my other neighbors in the
area and how he works this area, and he was
(09:41):
telling me about his experiences all the while the cable
box is uploading. And so while he was talking to
me looking at the view, I actually felt a little
bit more comfortable because I knew from his stories that
he wasn't lying, because I know my community, and I
knew that he wasn't lying, you know, he had he
(10:03):
was talking the truth, you know. So I felt a
little bit more like, Okay, he's he's cool, he's at
least honest, you know about this stuff, and so and
I'll get to the questions. So anyways, so my point
is is that he ended up being very flirtatious. Okay,
(10:23):
and he's married, by the way. I don't know if
I mentioned that. Okay, he has a wedding ring on.
And while he's looking at my view, he tells me
he lives in Victorville or Temecular, some some far away
land far from where I live, with his wife, and
they just bought a house four years ago while when
(10:44):
they got married. And I was like, oh, that's nice,
you know, thinking, Okay, he has a wife, he has
a wedding ring on, and I'm sure he's telling the truth.
Right here, I am with a phony wedding ring on
and So my point is, you guys, he was very
flirtatious even after telling me about his wife and his
new house and this and that, you know, just like
(11:09):
you know, telling me, oh, you have such pretty eyes,
and just dropping little flirts that thinking I'm thinking to
myself like wow, like this is unreal. Right here, I
am having this gut feeling to put a fake wedding
ring on, and this guy is like being very flirtatious
(11:29):
with me. What's my point in telling you guys this
personal story and talking about health and wellness and beauty.
Here's my point. I was writing my little hacks down
for you guys to share my beauty hacks or wellness hacks,
whatever you want to call them. And I started really
(11:50):
writing this down. I also wrote a new blog. If
you guys ever want to look at my blogs, they're
on Jena Lobos dot com, which is my website where
I you know, my coaching website. I've always I've mentioned
recently that I'm coaching women. I'm coaching women around health
and wellness and relationships. And so anyways, I write a
(12:15):
new blog and I'm writing my notes down for this
show today. And I started to write a blog around
how relationships are number one in regards to health and
wellness and beauty and why why is that? Because I
(12:35):
will give you two scenarios. We're in a brand new
romantic relationship. Everything is bliss honeymoon stage. We are just
aligning on everything with this person, and it just feels right.
You have energy, you're sleeping good, you're happy, your your
friends and family are telling you you're glowing, and you
(12:59):
just feel good right. It feels wonderful. And then there's
the flip side where you're in a relationship and boom,
something happens where you are thinking you're going along in
this relationship and everything is good, and you are hit
with something that breaks your heart. They're unloyal or they
(13:22):
do something shitty that doesn't feel good, and then there's
a breakup or a heartbreak, And how do you feel?
Then you feel no energy, you can't sleep, you can't eat,
sometimes you don't have energy for the gym, your eyes
are puffy because you're crying, whatever it is. So I
(13:42):
wanted to start off my Health and Beauty and Wellness
episode here with that with relationships and share this personal
story of this cable guy coming to my house married
and flirting with me. I put myself in in the
wife's shoes, by the way, you guys, I kept bringing
(14:04):
up up his wife, like what does your wife do?
Type of thing, because I put myself in his wife's shoes.
I've been married. I've shared that with you guys, and
that sucks. Like I felt for her just because I've
been on that other end, you know, Like what goes
through my mind is how the wife doesn't know that
(14:28):
her husband is out here doing his job on the clock,
servicing women's homes and he's getting off on flirting. I'm
sure I'm not the only one, right, I mean, he
just had this kind of personality that was just very
almost boundaryless, like walking to my house feeling comfortable, and
(14:49):
it just it was a boundaryless kind of energy. And
so again, I put myself in this woman's shoes, and
I just feel for her, you know, I feel for
what she thinks her husband is and what he really is.
And it's just it just kind of ignites me because
(15:09):
I've been on that other end so many times, you guys,
and it just stirs something in me that just is
like ugh, like I feel like a mama bear almost,
like I really would love to educate women and help
them see these signs and these personality traits in men. Obviously,
(15:30):
I know what happens to men too, So if any
men are listening, I know there's women out there that
do the same thing. But I'm a woman again, Like
I've said before, I'm going to talk from my perspective.
So beauty, wellness, health. What's the number one thing that
we can do for ourselves? We can have stable, loving relationships?
(15:51):
And where does that start? You? Guys? It starts with you.
So I'm going to share. I'm going to get into
my five acts, right, but I really want to relay
that message today is be super mindful of who you
let in your life as a partner, as any kind
(16:11):
of like work relationship. If you're in a family dynamic
with a relationship that's unhealthy for you, first of all,
I'm sorry, I've experienced that too, and do something about it.
Set a boundary, you know, remove yourself, do something about
that kind of dynamic. But if it's a love relationship
(16:33):
or a work relationship, or you don't have to be
in that, then remove yourself and start doing some inner work.
Because obviously the relationships that we attract start with ourselves.
We have to know ourselves in order to know other people.
We have to know what's going to work for us
(16:55):
and what's not going to work for us. So to
wrap it up on the cable story, the cable guys story,
you guys, and then I'm gonna get to your questions
and then we'll get into the five hacks, I just
felt so like, just sorry for that wife again, you know,
he left, and I just was like, wow. First of all,
(17:16):
my intuition was right on to put the fake wedding
ring on, and I'm grateful about that. That tells me
my inner work is like on point. But also it
just it just really showed me that people are going
to be the way they are no matter what. If
they're married, if they're in committed relationships, They're going to
(17:38):
do what they want. Okay, And so you guys have
to be mindful of who you choose. That's just the
bottom line. So okay, I will get off my soapbox.
Thank you for always listening to my personal stories. You guys.
I can't make this shit up. Seriously, I can't make
it up. It's like I feel like it's good content,
(17:59):
you know it just gives me more to talk about.
And I always also get an aha moment and reflect
on my relationships and my gut feelings all along in
my relationships and how I would back then deny them
when I knew in my gut I was true, it
(18:19):
was truthful. I would deny my gut feelings around my
ex relationships being faithful and loyal. You know, I knew
that they were not being loyal, but I would deny
that gut feeling. So my point is is I've just
experienced a lot in terms of relationships, and so I
(18:39):
can't say it enough. You guys, just be mindful of
your relationships. It's number one in your health and beauty
and wellness repertoire, because, like I said, we can either
shine bright and glow from great relationships or we can
just be down in the dumps and not have any
energy or vitality from a relationship. It's crazy. It's crazy
(19:01):
how much they can affect your life. Okay, so let
me take a time out to answer some questions and
then we'll get into the tips. Isaiah. They take time,
but it's most of the time a four hour window
to wait for service. Yeah, this seemed like it was
a six hour window. But I don't know where you're located, Isaiah,
(19:24):
but it just seemed like a longer window here. But
he did show up at like four forty five pm,
so it was fine. Nancy. Maybe he was looking for
a little extra on the side or a big tip.
I thank you, Nancy. I don't know if he was
looking for money, really. I think it was more the
(19:44):
little extra on the side. I don't think he was
looking for money. He was talking to me about how
he does he does, what does he do? He does
some lighting Christmas lighting on the side for money, So
I don't think it was that. Ken, wonder if they
(20:05):
are in wonder if they are in an open relationship? Ooh, Ken,
good point. Good point. I like that aspect. I didn't
think about it like that. But you might have a point.
You might actually have a point, because it was just weird.
(20:25):
He just kept asking me where my ex husband was,
Like he literally asked me, where is Blank right now?
And I was like, he's at work, Like what the heck?
Maybe they are. I hope they are for her sake,
Oh my gosh, Okay, Pam, maybe she knows how her
husband is And oh, totally maybe she knows how her
(20:46):
husband is and overlooks it. Totally agree. I've done it myself,
totally agree. Totally agree. How can you not know who
you're with? And maybe she's happy you guys. Maybe I
am just feeling bad for her for no reason. Maybe
she loves it, maybe she does it herself, maybe she
blurts with other men herself. So thank you guys for
(21:08):
shedding some light on me, because maybe it's my trauma,
you know, like I've been through so much around disloyalty
and being cheated on so many times that I just
feel for other women. But I still stand by the
fact that relationships can have a huge impact on our
(21:30):
health and wellness and vitality. So thank you guys. I
love the comments and the questions. So let's get into
my five wellness and beauty hacks. And they are geared
towards women, so yeah, well maybe a couple for men.
So here we go. These are the things I've been
(21:51):
tinkering around with this summer, and the first one is
face tape. Okay, very vulnerable to talk, but talk about it,
but it's true. I don't I try to do everything
natural as possible. I'm not I don't want to have
to do botox or filler or anything like that, so
(22:16):
I don't and so I've been caring and reading a
lot about face tape. So what I've been doing is
I've been just experimenting with it, and what it is
is you face. You basically tape your face at night,
and you tape like, you know, if you get the
lines right here, like the little lines right here or
(22:36):
the crows feet or right here. I've been kind of
experimenting with face tape at night, and I just tape
up my face. Obviously, I'm single, so if you guys
have a partner, then you know, maybe talk it over
with them if they're going to care if you guys
have tape on your face at night. But I'm a
single girl, so I can do whatever I want and
(22:57):
I don't care what I look like when I sleep.
So I've just been taping my face to kind of
see if it works, and so far, I'm liking it.
I'd rather try everything natural as possible before I take
a route or of anything like botox or filler. So
the ones that I like right now, you guys, are
by Skinny Confidential and another brand called No Talks and
(23:22):
so that was kind of my first wellness and beauty hack.
My second one is silk pillowcases. I definitely know that
makes a difference for wrinkles and lines and keeping your
face fresh. Buy silk pillowcases, You'll see a difference. I've
been doing that for years, so I definitely feel a
(23:44):
difference in my hair even my skin. So that's kind
of an easy one. My third one is sunscreen with
blue light protection. Kind of new. Normally I just do
a sunscreen with caffeine, but I I've been trying out
the blue light protection, which I've been on the screen
(24:04):
more if I've been on my computer or my phone more.
I've been trying that out. So Skinceuticals has a really
good one, and then you can just like google it
on Amazon or push it in on Amazon and just
make sure it has blue light protection. So I've been
kind of loving that, you guys, knowing that I'm protecting
(24:27):
my face from the screen. And then my fourth one
is CBD CBD face oils. I'm kind of loving the
CBD products right now. I haven't tried any of the
bath products, but the CBD oil for the face with
a guasha, I love it. I love I love it.
(24:50):
I don't know the brand that I've been using, but
if you guys want to follow me on Instagram Jenna
Lobos on Instagram and you DM me and you want
to know the brand that I've been using for the
CBD oil, I'll be happy to share it. But that's
definitely a really big hack for me this summer. When
(25:13):
I'm not live with you guys, I just do the
CBD oil and like the sunscreen with blue light and
I'm done. I don't wear any kind of other makeup
and I love it. It's like gives me a glow,
and I love it. With the guasha, I can tell
a difference. And I don't know. There's something about the
CB that's my skin is loving it, so maybe to
(25:34):
try it out. And my fifth one is acupuncture. I
probably have mentioned it before, but I've been having my
acupuncturists do acupuncture on my face and so I do
it for my whole body to keep it balanced. And
it's first of all, it's super relaxing, you guys. It's
(25:57):
you lay there for whatever thirty forty fifth fifty minutes.
They have like a heat like light on your tummy area,
which relaxes your whole body because we hold a lot
of tension in our core. And I've been adding acupuncture
to my face and I've noticed a difference. So that's
(26:18):
kind of my my fifth hack. So wherever you guys
are at, if you want to, just google acupuncture, find
a good acupuncturist. I don't think you guys will be sorry,
especially if you're under a lot of stress. Every time
I leave there, oh my gosh, I feel so relaxed
and definitely loving it for my face. I don't know
(26:40):
if I'm going to keep that up because it's a
little bit more expensive for my face, but I definitely
love it and it's a treat. So those are my
five hacks for you guys. The face tape, the silk pillowcases,
the sunscreen with blue light, the CBD face oil with
the Guasha is awesome. And then find a good acupuncturist
(27:03):
in your area. And I don't think you're gonna be sorry.
And I'll get to the questions. I added as a
sixth one just to share is I've been eating breakfast
and this is kind of new for me because I've
been kind of like an intermitute fasting girl. But I
(27:23):
have been trying out something different this summer, like I said,
and I've been making time to have breakfast and I
love it. I'm loving it. My body is loving it.
I feel more stable throughout my day. It doesn't have
to be something big, but I've been actually making breakfast.
(27:44):
I mean it takes more time, you guys, so you
might have to get up a little bit earlier, but
try it out if you feel like you've had low
energy or something. I definitely feel more energy. It stabilizes
my blood sugar throughout the day. I just do something
really simple. I do just a piece of toast, a
gluten free piece of toast. I'm into fats. I love
(28:10):
getting fats in my diet. I'm not afraid of fats.
So I do coconut oil on my toast, or ghee
which is butter omega threes or just regular butter and
one egg. And then I do either green tea macha
or like some sort of like tea or like a
hot milk with macha or something like that. But I
(28:34):
love it. I just I feel good. So breakfast is
another kind of a little bit different for me this summer, because,
like I said, I was a big intermitute fasting girl
for a while, and I've shared that a lot on
the on the show. So I'm gonna get to questions.
Let me just take some water. This is warm water
with lemon, which is another I love to keep my
(28:56):
body warm even though it's hot outside. I know that
the body loves to be warm, or the tummy area
likes warmth more than cold. Yeah, if you guys like cold,
I would definitely balance it out with warm. You'll feel
a difference. So okay, sorry about that. Okay, let's get
(29:19):
to some questions. Kim doesn't still cold heat. I don't know.
I don't know how to answer that. I'm not sure,
so I apologize. I don't know how to answer that truthfully.
I'll have to look that up. But I know it
makes a difference with your hair and skin. And there's
some on Amazon, Kim, if you just go on Amazon,
(29:42):
they're not expensive at all. So Ray, it seems like
he should have gone in done his job and not
have been all up in your business. He sounds like
a creeper. Maybe that is why he take a six
hour service window. Yeah, I know, I know, I kind
of want to believe the other comments about how maybe
(30:05):
they're in an open relationship versus that he's a creeper. So,
but you do have a point, Ray, thank you.
Speaker 3 (30:13):
Him Does it have the does it have the in
the CBD oil? Does it have the in the CBD oil?
The reason I asked drug tests.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
For the job. Oh the THHC? Okay, sorry? Does it
have the THHC in the CBD? No, it does not.
None of the CBD products have the THC in in
them or else I would never, you, guys, I don't
do good on pot. I tried pot once, no actually
twice in my life, and the first time I threw up,
(30:48):
and the second time I was up all night like
I had done coke. And so I'm just being open
and honest with you guys. I've tried it twice. I
would never in my life have THHC in my body
or on my skin. So absolutely not. The CBD oil
does not have THHC. Thank you for the question. Him
(31:08):
Bell asks a difference between acupuncture and acupressure. Okay, thank
you for that question. Yeah, so the acupuncture, the acute Okay,
the acuprecture the acupressure I've never tried. I've also I've
also always wanted to buy an acupressure mate from Amazon
(31:29):
with a little like and maybe you have this bell.
It's those little like they're kind of like needles, I guess,
but they're on a mat and you lay on them
on your back. I've never tried acupressure, like the acupressure mats.
I just know that acupuncture they actually, you know, they
(31:50):
they stimulate the body with the needles, so like in
other words, like let's say you needed stimulation for constipation,
you would they would stimulate your bowels with the needles,
or you know, in other words, I'm talking about, well,
you know, your face. They stimulate the muscles in your
(32:11):
face to uplift your face. So I'm assuming that the
acupressure doesn't stimulate the muscles. It probably just relaxes them.
So that's what I am assuming the differences because I've
never tried acupressure. But thank you, Belle. It really reminds
(32:34):
me that I definitely want to get an acidpressure mat.
So anyways, so keep the questions coming if you guys
have any That's kind of what I had lined up
for today. I you know, obviously I like sharing my
personal stories and then I love talking about health and
(32:55):
wellness and beauty, and I think the takeaway from today
is we need both, right, We need some fun beauty
hacks and wellness hacks to try here. And there are
still pillowcase, you know, tape your face up one night,
you know, the eye patches, whatever it is. We need both.
(33:16):
We need to eat breakfast, we need to feel good.
But when it comes down to it, you, guys, relationships,
stable grounded, healthy present relationships are numero uno, because when
your heart is happy, then you're happy. Let's just face it,
(33:36):
it's the truth. I'm really lucky to have mentors that
I've just developed really good relationships with. And these mentors,
to me, are everything because they're present with me. They
hear me, they listen to me, they see me. They
give me feedback. And whether it's feedback that is like
(34:00):
kind of tough love feedback, or you know, just validating
my feelings, I always know that these people are coming
from a place of love and kindness versus trying to
chop me down or bring me down or jabbing at
my soul, which I've experienced, right, I've experienced those relationships
(34:24):
where mainly men have jabbed me you know or like
try to like keep me small, and so I know
the difference. I know the difference and the way it
feels and how you move through your world when you
have when you just know somebody has your back, when
you know that they actually care about your well being,
(34:44):
it really is. You can truly feel the difference, you guys.
So with that said, if there's no more questions, I
will end the show and I hope you guys are well,
take good care, try out some hacks. I'd love for
you guys to come and let me know what you
guys think. You can follow me on Instagram at Jena

and beauty and wellness and yeah, until next time, love
your body and love your life. Take care bye,
