Speaker 2 (00:25):
Hello, welcome to Love Your Body, Love Your Life. My
name is Jenna. I am the host of the show
Love Your Body, Love Your Life and also the author
of the book titled Love your Body, Love Your Life,
fifty two Tips that will Radically Change Your Health. My
book can be found on Amazon and on Barnesannoble dot com.
And here I am again, you guys. Solo. I would
(00:48):
say that I'm getting used to being here just talking
one on one with you guys, But I don't know.
Like last night I was going through my notes and
what I would want to share today. The topic of
today's show came in through requests through one of my
Instagram followers on gut health. So last night I was
(01:13):
going over the notes on what I would share about
that and what I would want to keep private, you know,
because I definitely have a journey in regards to gut health,
and I write a little bit about it in the book,
but I probably wasn't as open in writing my story
(01:35):
because I wrote the book, you know, years ago, and
I feel like I've been more comfortable about sharing personal
stories as I've grown, you know. So my point is
is that last night I was going over the notes
and I was thinking about what I should share, what
I should keep private, and the word balance came to mind,
Like it's all a balance, right, And I think that's
(01:58):
probably a big time topic in regards to good health.
So what I'm going to do, is what I've been
doing with my solo episodes, is I'm just going to
share a personal story, a little bit of my personal
story and in regards to good health. So it's probably
not pretty or it is not pretty, but I'm going
(02:20):
to share. So basically, how do I say this? Like
I years ago twenty like a while back, twenty fourteen,
twenty fifteen, twenty sixteen, right around that time period, I
was having really major digestive issues to the point where
(02:45):
I couldn't go to the bathroom, like literally could not
go and it would be you know, like a couple
of days, two to three days, and I was deep
into my healing work and my inner child work, which
I've spoken about several times here on the show, and
this was just another layer of healing for me, and
(03:05):
I would have to go get klonics and actually support
my body in eliminating. It sounds crazy, but it's where
I was. And also at night, I would have to
take magnesium supplements to relax my digestive system and in
(03:26):
order for me to like eliminate naturally. So when this
suggestion came in through IG, I was a little bit
apprehensive because I knew that if I was going to
get on here and talk honestly, I was going to
have to share that part of my journey. And you know,
in doing klonics, I know it's not something that I'm
(03:49):
the only one that has experienced, because I made friends
with the Colon hydrotherapist and she would tell me stories
like you're not the only one girl, Like people have issues,
you know. So Anyways, my whole problem, I guess at
the time, was more emotional. I was not in a
(04:13):
stable environment, I was not in a good relationship, and
my body was basically just trying to get my attention.
And also what I have learned now, you know, actually
I didn't know the I didn't know, I wasn't educated
as much as I am now in regards to gut
(04:33):
health and what that's tied to, and what it is
tied to is your mental body, so your mind, and
at the time, I was just really just in a
stress in a stressful environment, and when you're in a
stressful state for a long period of time, your body
(04:56):
can shut down or you know, hould on to things.
You know, everything is energy, So that energy of me eliminating,
letting go, breathing like just calmly and just being relaxed
was not there. So my body basically was reacting from
(05:17):
my environment, from me not being able to speak my truth,
from me being in the wrong relationship. Not to say
that it didn't serve me on the whole, because of
course you always learn from things, but basically that's what
my body was trying to do. It was just trying
to get my attention. By the way, I'm fine now,
(05:39):
just so if anybody's wondering, I am totally fine now.
So thank god, I don't need to take supplements or
go run to get a klonic just to breaking feel
better in my digestice system. So I kind of wanted
to share that right off the bat and then go
into some other things that I will probably have to
reference notes, so if I look down, just so you
(06:01):
guys know that's what I'm doing. I also want to say, like,
if you read the title and you're here live with me,
thank you first of all for being here live. But
I am not gonna sit here and talk about a
protocol on what to eat what not to eat. So
it's for your gut health. So if that's what you're
(06:24):
looking for, that's this is probably not the show for you,
because yes, I'm going to get into like supplements and
stuff like that, but I'm not going to give you
a blueprint on what to eat and what not to
eat for your gut because what I've learned and what
I believe is a lot of the time we are
(06:46):
not living from our gut. We're living from our head.
And me included. You know, I have now trained myself
to live more from my gut and from my intuition
and from my feeling body versus my overthinking mind and
writing stories about what I should do, what I need
(07:09):
to do, what people are thinking about me, what you know,
just whatever you know, the mind can just take off
and just write tons of stories, and I you know,
have really had to learn how to calm my nervous
system down and my anxiety down, and that's really helped
me to stay present in my body. So again we're
(07:33):
going to go over foods and a little bit of
diet talk, but I really want to get into another
conversation around the third chakra, because that's kind of where
the digestive system lives. Your stomach area, your personal power,
what you believe about yourself, trusting your gut, trusting yourself,
(07:58):
and all of the those kind of feelings. They live
in your third chakra. That affects your gut, health, and
your gut. So I'm going to reference the just some
notes here. So, so the third chakra, it basically it's
it translates into the power of a thousand suns and
(08:19):
it regulates both the conscious and the subconscious mind the
way we think. So and basically it like I said,
it is, it's tied to the mental body. And so
once we clear our mental capacity to believe in ourselves,
to trust ourselves, to stay clear in I guess, to
(08:44):
bring the conscious mind to presence and not running the
story of the past or something that shut us down.
Is when you kind of clear that flow of energy
in helping the gut move again, you know, and it
could go the other way around you guys too, where
(09:06):
where it's the other way around, right, you're just like
going to the bathroom all the time and you can't
stop it. You know. It's like that's another kind of
energy where it's like it's almost like a fear based
energy where you're just like eliminating everything and you can't
keep what you need in your in your gut to
(09:27):
give you that gut health and that support and that
just balance again, the word balance, balanced energy. So I
think that's where I'm getting at. It's about balancing your
conscious and your subconscious. It's about balancing your beliefs about yourself.
It's about balancing your diet. It's about balancing your lifestyle
(09:49):
who you surround yourself with. You know. I was again,
I was talking I was talking to myself last night
preparing for the and I was thinking about, you know,
just the word balance and the diet piece of it,
and like I was going to say, like, if you
(10:10):
want to have like alcohol, then you know maybe once
or twice a week. If you want to have you know, sugar,
then again once a week. You know. It's like, I
feel like that's kind of the name of the game
with gut health. But I think the more the deeper
part of it is the fact that we need to
(10:34):
clear energy and flow, have it flow and clear the
old stories of the belief that we are not good
enough or that we don't deserve, you know, what we've
created in life, because sometimes when we create something, we
can unconsciously sabotage that for ourselves because we don't believe
(11:00):
that we deserve what we created for ourselves. And so anyways,
all of this energy is tied to gut health, you guys,
believe it or not, it really is. The third chakra
is tied to your gut health, which is your personal power,
the way you trust in yourself. So let me read
(11:21):
some backside symptoms of gut health. Backside symptoms are over
sensitivity to criticism, need to control, low self esteem, stomach ulcers,
digestive issues, chronic fatigue, allergies, and diabetes. And once we
heal does the old beliefs and we bring our conscious
(11:45):
mind to present, then we have a front side characteristic
of the gut the third chakra, which is respect for
self and others, personal power, flexibility, high self esteem, spontaneity, inhibited.
I allow my own way and allow you yours. I
(12:06):
open my mind to possibility. So in reading that, another
thing I wanted to share is when we are unbalanced
in our third chakra, which is our digestive, which I've
been saying, our gut, we don't know where we stop
and where another person begins, because we're always focused on
(12:28):
the other person or the outer world, and we're like
off subject, meaning we're off our own self, We're off
of our own gut, we're off of our own intuition,
and we're always putting our focus on other people or
other people's opinion or just everything externally, you know. And
(12:49):
I am definitely need to watch that for myself because
because of my upbringing, because of relationships, because of my
own trauma, I was always like just focused on the
external world and hyper sensitive, you know, like hyper focused
on my surroundings and not really centered and grounded in
(13:14):
my own my own gut. So I can easily get
off of subject and put my attention on like who's
ever in the room, what, you know, just like the
overthinking mind, and that really affects your stomach and the
way you digest your food and the way you assimilate
your food and and all of that. So yeah, so
(13:39):
I know that's a lot, and I'm probably all over
the place, but I hope that makes sense to anybody
that's listening live. And I hope that you guys can
write in and chat with me and talk ask questions.
So don't be shy if you are listening live. Chat.
But yeah, so let's get into the the other piece.
(14:00):
So it is obviously diet, and you know, the culprits
of I believe the culprits to anything physical is sugar,
obviously alcohol, very meat, and let's see what else, oh, flour, Yeah,
(14:21):
so flour, sugar, dairy, meat, and alcohol. So all of that.
What I've just said is there's a very acidic it's
a very acid they're they're very acidic foods what I
just mentioned. And for gut health and for health overall
well being, we want to keep our body in the
(14:42):
alkaline state. So so what alkaline foods look like are greens? Okay,
so it's anything green, veggies of fruits, you know, like
think plant based diet, you know, whole foods, allos, rice,
(15:03):
anything plant based and it doesn't have to be boring
you guys. Okay, So it could be healthy fats, it
could be you know, like think, here's a good way
to think about, like alkaline foods is the produce section
of the grocery store, or another way to put it
(15:25):
is you know how like if you like go into
the grocery store and all of the packaged foods are
in the middle of the grocery store, well, most of
the time, the healthier foods are the perimeter of the
middle of the grocery store, right, So think that way,
Like when you go to the grocery, go to the
(15:46):
outer perimeters of the grocery store. So think alkaline foods, fruits, veggies,
healthy fats, avocados, salads, rice beans based diet. So anyways, yeah,
we have a question, and do you think getting your
gut in order will help you? Absolutely? Thank you so
(16:08):
much and for asking this question, because I didn't even
think about weight loss in this conversation. But that's huge, absolutely,
one hundred percent. When your gut is not eliminating foods,
you're going to store, you're going to store fat, You're
going to store extra energy, right because it think of
(16:33):
your body just again, like energy, it's it's it needs
to move. You need to move the body. You need
to eliminate what no no longer serves you anymore. And
with the bowels, elimination is about foods, but it's also
about emotional stuff too that no longer serves you anymore.
You just got to let it go. And so when
(16:54):
you're letting go of things, then yes, you are automatically
letting go of weight. So thank you so much for that,
and I really appreciate that question, you know. On that
On that note, there's a lot of different ways to
move energy and let go and release. So there's a gut,
(17:14):
there's a lymphatic system. You can you have to sweat.
You have to like let go of things out of
your body. So you could sweat, you can go to
the bathroom, you can exercise the sweat and move you know,
whatever no longer serves you out. It's just about movement,
it's about balancing your body. But definitely getting your gut
(17:38):
in order will help you lose weight. I'm trying to
think of other things that I want to share in
regards to that. Yeah, I feel like other things that
could help your gut is the fasting protocol. So you
might not have you might not want to fast like
all day or do these crazy water fast but you
(18:02):
can try the intermittefasting, which I've done for a while now,
where I get up and I drink lemon and water
every morning. Sometimes I add ginger, but I don't really
eat my first meal until twelve or one o'clock so
(18:23):
and then I try to stop eating around eight eight thirty.
So that gives me like a sixteen hour fast to
allow your system to relax, because that's another thing that
the gut likes, is relaxation. You know, it's always transmuting
energy that we've gone through during the day. It's trying
(18:45):
to metabolize and like digest not only your food. What
is what I'm trying to say is digest the surroundings
you're in, Digest the emotional body, digest and metabolize whatever
happened to you during the day. Your gut is responsible
for all of that. So you got to think of
(19:06):
that organ as you know, kind of your friend. You know,
you wanted to be happy, and you want it to
be balanced, and you want it to be relaxed when
it's supposed to it. It's think of it as your friend.
So what works for me, and I'll share, is the
internet fasting where I give my body a sixteen hour
(19:27):
rest and I don't like bombard it with foods until
twelve or one o'clock. And you know, in the afternoon,
I stop eating around eight eight thirty. If I'm going
to eat at night, I'll do something small, like a
protein shake or a yogurt or something like that. Obviously,
you guys, you know there, don't get to rigid on this.
(19:51):
There's balance. You've got to have balance. If you're going
to go to dinner with friends and it's you know,
nine pm or ten, then enjoy it and just be like, okay,
it's one day. Get back on the intermitted fasting game,
you know. But for the most part, that's what I
try to do, and it works. I love my lemon
and water in the morning, a ginger or something warm.
(20:13):
You can do a green tea, or I've been doing
a little bit of butter coffee, which I'm not I'm
not a big coffee drinker because again, that's acidic and
we want to keep the body alkalined. But what I
do to minimize the acid in the coffee is I
drink butter. I drink butter coffee, so I add butter
(20:33):
to my coffee to minimize the acid. So just that's
a little tip on that, Casey, How would someone start
with this gut health? I mean it really depends, I feel, Casey,
like can you call in again or type in what
(20:54):
kind of like what is your intention? I guess with
gut health, like what are you looking for? Or because
you can start with a probiotic, which is going to
feed your gut the good healthy bacteria. Also there's a
prebiotic that you can feed your gut. It's it's about
(21:18):
again the balancing and feeding it good bacteria and keeping
it strong and happy. So that's how I would answer
your question right now, is I would start with the
probiotic and pre biotic not knowing what your intentions are
with gut health, you know, because if your intention is
something else, then I would answer probably answer the question differently.
(21:39):
But I also take a gluta thion supplement, which is
really good for gut health. So if you guys want
to check that out, glue to thion. I like SymbioticA.
They have like a Glueta thion packet where it's just easy.
If you're traveling, you can just put it in your
purse or whatever. And it's just something that I do
(22:02):
every morning just to keep my my system running smoothly.
So thank you for that question though, Casey. So, yeah,
you guys, what else? What else? I you know, I've
Thank God, I'm really regular now, I'm being really open.
I don't have to take supplements. Like I said, I'm
(22:23):
very much more in tune with my gut. My intuition
is on points most of the time. And yeah, so
Casey wrote back in wanting to lose, wanting to losing
and remove anything that is stuck to clean out what
could help? Okay, yeah, okay, thank you for calling back, Casey.
I would definitely start with the intermitted fasting one hundred percent.
(22:49):
What could help this. Yeah, there's some stuck energy is
what I'm gathering here that needs to be cleaned out.
And if you're not able to eliminate that, then obviously
there's uncomfortability, the flow is not there. I would definitely
try with the interminute fasting. So again, I'll repeat this
so basically, and you could you could actually google interminute fasting, Casey,
(23:13):
because there's tons of information online. But I do the
sixteen hour window, which is I stop eating at eight
o'clock and I don't eat again until twelve noon the
next day, So that's a sixteen hour fast. I in
the in the interim, what I do is I drink
(23:34):
the warm lemonon water. In the morning, I do a
little bit of the butter coffee, which doesn't break my fast,
and then like today, I won't eat until after the show.
So it's one o'clock Pacific standard my time here. I
don't know what time it is over the where you
guys are, but today I won't eat till later. So
(23:54):
what I did was prior to starting the show is
I had a little bit of ta he nei butter,
which is like almond butter, which so healthy fats do
not break the fast, okay, so just you know. So
that's why I can do the butter coffee in the
morning or take like a spoonful of almond butter, and
(24:15):
they don't break the fast. Healthy fats do not break
the fast. It neither does coffee. So I hope that
helps Casey. I would definitely for sure try the internet
fasting check out the glue to thion and also a
good probiotic, uh and prebiotic. I would definitely start there.
(24:38):
I'm trying to think. Oh, so the probiotic that I
do recommend, it's called megaspore megaspore me E g A
spore s p O r E. And I love that brand, Megaspore.
They have a certain protocol when you take their probiotic two.
(24:58):
I believe you start out with the one every other
day and then you up the dosage to two every
other day. Don't I'm not verbatim right now, but check
out megaspor because I love their product, and gosh, Casey,
I hope that things start moving. Definitely walk in the evening.
That's another good thing that's good for gut health is
(25:23):
to walk after you eat your meal. Make sure you're
eating your meals in a common environment. You're not eating
on the go, you're not eating in a rush, and
you're not eating when you're emotionally charged. That's huge, believe
it or not, you guys, people and emotions can affect
our physical body. So please know that and eat when
(25:48):
you're relaxed or when you're enjoying somebody or around somebody
that you enjoy, or eat alone and create an environment
that's just very relaxed and feeling good when you're eating
your food and you're thinking good thoughts. You're thinking, you know,
thank you for this food, being very grateful that you're
(26:08):
feeding your body, you know, all of that. Just try
to be mindful of your health and your emotions and
your thinking. And then after you eat, if you can,
then take a brisk walk. You know, that helps the
digestive system. Move, move your arms like back and forth,
(26:31):
like swing your arms when you're walking, because that's also
a good mind body connection. And anytime you can walk,
it's really good for the mental body. Again, the mental
body is connected to our third chakra, which is our
solar plexus, which directly connects to our gut. So you
want all of these places to be in alignment and
(26:54):
in the flow, and so walking is really helpful when
it comes to that kind of stuff. So yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I hope that helps Casey. Anybody else give me some questions. Yeah,
So let's see what else can I talk about in
regards to gut health. I think that's the biggest thing,
(27:19):
you guys, you know, really truly is balancing out the
emotional body with the physical body. Really, you know, paying
attention to what works as far as like diet and exercise,
paying attention to what works in regards to relationships, to
your job too, to all of that because it all
(27:42):
affects your your your gut. Lance has a question, will
this be good for ment? Oh? Absolutely, Lance. Anybody can
can go on a fast. Anybody can go on a fast.
I know somebody in specifically who's a male that does
(28:04):
water fasting all day. It's not something that I would
do personally because I don't feel like that would keep
my body happy. But you can definitely try the interminute
fasting again. Like I said, you guys can google intermnute
fasting or fasting in general and you will see that
(28:25):
there's so many benefits to fast. So yeah, give me
a second here, take a drink of water. Yeah, So
I think that's it you guys. I you know, again,
this this topic came in as a request. It's not
(28:45):
something that I would probably have picked. But I hope
that this has been helpful. You know. Let me give
you a little update on me. Last time I was
here solo, I was talking about my music video and
how that went down, and I'm super excited to say
that it's gotten over five hundred views, so that's awesome.
(29:09):
I'm super excited about that. And then I'm also I
just announced yesterday on my social media that I am
now open opening up to one on one coaching programs,
mainly for women, but men are also invited. But the
marketing material and everything that I've created my new website
(29:31):
rolling Out is geared toward women, but I'm i am
opening up one on one coaching session. So I just
announced that yesterday my new website was should be up
by next week. So I'm excited for that. And all
of the work that I that's going to be integrated
(29:52):
in my coaching session has come from a practice that
I've been doing for gosh over a decade. It's called
best It's bio energetic Synchronization technique, and it's some it's
it's holistic work that I wholeheartedly believe in, and I've
been pretty much talking about it throughout this show, just
(30:15):
about the whole emotional piece that's tied to the physical piece.
And there are unconscious beliefs that we hold on to,
you know, that we hold on to that keep us
stuck in our gut. And once we clear those those
emotional beliefs, then the body will just heal and start
(30:40):
moving on its own. So that's something that I look
forward to sharing more of, obviously with my one on
one clients, and we can get more particular with your
particular situation and what is unique to you and what
you need to heal.
Speaker 3 (30:59):
So yeah, you guys, So I'm excited for that. That's
an update that's coming up soon. I do have a
guest lined up for next week. We're going to be
talking about some another topic.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
She is. She's a expert on narcissistic personality disorder, so
we're going to be talking about that. I'm very fascinated
with that because I've had I've definitely had some personal
experiences with people that are on that spectrum. So i
(31:34):
won't go into detail around that, but I'm going to
have that expert on next week. So I'm looking forward
to that. And so yeah, you guys. If there's no
more questions, I think I've said all that I can
say here. If you guys have any questions, all in.
If not, then I think we're good. Keep your your
(31:56):
body imbalance, check in, ask yourself what's working and what's
not health wise, diet wise, relationship wise. I know I'm
repeating myself, but I can't probably repeat myself more. It's
all connected, and just like we're all connected in some way,
it's all connected. The emotional piece, physical piece, the diet,
(32:20):
the environment, the relationships. It's all connected. So do what
is best for you. Check out the innimateute fasting, check
out the supplements of the megaspore and the SymbioticA and
plant based diet is really good for keeping your body alkalined.
(32:43):
The culprits for the acid body, which we don't do,
not want, are sugar, fairy flour, alcohol, and coffee. But
you can add the butter to balance out the acidity
in the coffee. So that's it, you, guys. I think
I've said it all. I've talked about gut health and
(33:05):
I've shared a little bit about my personal story, and
I hope it resonated. I did go through a pretty
big journey with around that for many years, and I'm happy, happy,
happy to say that I'm out of that time in
my life. So onto bigger and better and onwards and upwards.
And until next time, love your body and live your life.
(33:28):
Take care. Bye.
