Speaker 2 (00:36):
Welcome beautiful people to organic healthy lifestyle. And I'm Nancy Addison,
your host, and i'd like I saw that just take
a deep breath and release any tension or stress you
might be holding in your mind or your body, and
just join me for a moment, and I'll say a
(00:56):
prayer and I'll kind of frame the show way here,
Divine Creator, we ask you to please bless us throughout
the world and to help us to remember those who
need our prayers the most and those who blessed us
with their lives. And we pray and rejoice for a
bright future. Together. Let us embrace a healing perspective of
(01:19):
peace and love. Our state of heart and mind rules
our lives and makes a difference for everyone. And we
ask this in the highest good of all concern for
everyone listening now and everyone listening in the future. And
thank you. And so it is, And just want to
say thank you to John Enman for giving me that
(01:40):
beautiful music at the beginning of my show and the
end of my show. He's a Texas musician lives in Austin,
and he wrote that and it is called Happy. I
think it's very uplifting, and I want to thank Dean
Piper and W four c Y Radio for encouraging me
to do my show all these years and to even
(02:04):
get me started. I never thought I would be someone
who had a radio show, and I just really enjoyed
connecting with all of y'all throughout the world, and I
feel like I have some of the most brilliant listeners
in the world, and I'm just thrilled about it and
the million podcasts people have contacted me various times, and
(02:27):
I am everywhere from number one in organic food category
to number six in the healthy food category, number seven
and healthy eating, and thirtieth and nutrition. So I thought
today we would talk about nutrition and food and vitamins
and what are the most important vitamins that we feel
(02:48):
we need every day? And I think, you know, there's
just a certain protocol that I kind of put together
every day, and I vary it because I never do
the exact same thing twice. I try to stay present
and be present all the time and just listen to
my inner guidance from the divine And I feel like
(03:09):
that is a really good way to live, because if
you are constantly worrying about things that you couldn't do
better in the past, because that has gone, you can't
change it, and it's nothing you do now is basically
going to fix anything that you know you didn't do.
(03:29):
And I always feel like I think everyone does their
best at each and every moment of their life with
what they have to work with, and I think part
of our health is mental and so I do think
it's important for us all to you know, focus on
the positive. And if we're at present, then we're here
(03:50):
and we can see the miracles happen and feel how
our body feels and listen to our inner voice. But
if we're worried about the future and they say that
you know, most of those things we worry about never
come to pass, then we aren't here now for those
we love or for ourselves. So, you know, I think
(04:11):
it's important to to really think about, you know, being present,
letting go of the stress and smiling. You know, it
actually takes more muscles in your face to frown. Than
it does is smile. And I have to admit I'm
a smiler and it feels good and it quite literally
(04:33):
tells your brain that you're that you're happy. And so
if you ever need to lift your mood, you know, smile, smile,
stand depth straight. You're all hunched over it. It contributes
to not feeling good. So I went to my my
exercise class this morning, the one that that John Bone
(04:57):
was on. He was on the show We Ago and
shared with you some of the things he does there.
And I have to admit exercising every morning for an hour.
It lifts my spirit. It gets my blood moving, it
gets my muscles working, it gets my tendons and ligments working.
(05:17):
And whenever I feel pain in any part of my body,
like let's say I feel a pain in my hip
after a horseback riding or something, if I keep working
it out and pushing myself through that pain, then it
always goes away. I had that happen when I was
(05:38):
in France. I went a horseback riding with my son
and his family when I was there for my daughter's wedding.
And I will tell you you know, I'm not used
to writing English, and so my hip was a little
bit sore. I just kept working it, pushing through that pain,
and it stopped hurting. And I really think that that
(06:03):
is how you get blood to go to that muscle
and that tendon and that ligament and you work it.
It's like my chiropractor, doctor Michael Hall in Lewisville in Texas,
would say, he goes, you know, use it or lose it.
But talking about health, and we're moving into the fall
(06:24):
mins and a lot of people tend to think that
they get sick during the fall and or different changes
of seasons. And I asked doctor Andrew Kaufman about something
like that once when he was giving a speech, and
I said, you know what, because he really has a
(06:45):
very good theory on the fact that there. He doesn't
believe in germs and all these viruses and things. He
thinks that was really just created so they could push
drugs on us. And I said, well, why do people
get sick, you know? And he said, well, part of
it is we go through seasons, kind of like the
(07:08):
trees do in a way. But he said, you know,
we are always regenerating cells and in recreating our body.
Your body's constantly regenerating itself. It's like your taste beds
regenerate every two weeks. You create absolutely new taste beds
every two weeks. Well, he said that as we as
(07:32):
we change seasons, sometimes we sloth off some of this
stuff we don't need anymore. And you know, it makes
sense to me. And so when you're when you're doing that,
basically you're detoxifying. And sometimes when you're detoxifying, then you know,
you get those toxins out in your bloodstream and you
(07:55):
need to drink a lot of water flush that out.
Something else that you can take with that is activated charcoal.
Activated charcoal is a really excellent binder for toxins. And
in fact, I learned last year that when they experiment
(08:15):
on animals in a laboratory, and just for the record,
I am one hundred percent against that. I do not
like that at all. But animals have the same molecular
structure that we do, and when they want to clean
them up and do a new test on them, they
aren't going to kill them an autopsium or anything. They
(08:36):
give them activated charcoal, and activated charcoal is a really
good binder. One of the really good binders I like
a bunch of others. But activated charcoal is excellent, and
it's especially good for nausea or any kind of diarrhea situation.
But activated charcoal will bind with these pharmaceuticals toxins and
(09:01):
help them get out of the body. And in fact,
if you went into an emergency room with a drug overdose,
and it could be pharmaceutical drugs, it could be a
different kind of drug, but if you went in there,
they would immediately give you activated charcoal as it would
bind with the pathogen and just safely get it out
(09:23):
of the body in your excrement. And so it's super easy.
And when I travel, like when I just went to
France and I took my activated charcoal with me in
case anybody I was with had you know, nausea or
if I did right. And when you travel, you tend
(09:43):
to be exposed to a lot of toxic cleaning fluids
and airports and airplanes and hotels and things like that.
So I just think detoxifying on a regular basis, it
helps keep my bodies clean, it helps keep my cell clean.
It's like doctor ed Group said on my show about
(10:04):
two years ago. He said, you know, he had been
part of the Mayo Task Force to go around the
world and figure out the cure for cancer or figure
out the cause of disease and cause of cancer. And
he said that you know, when they came back, this
big group of doctors, they said, you know, other than
(10:27):
you know, being dehydrated and not having enough nutrition, it
was really toxic overload that led to illness and disease.
And he really suggests that we all detoxify on a
regular basis, especially for our liver, which it tends to
get the heaviest brunt of any kind of toxic overload.
(10:51):
And if your liver isn't functioning properly, then it goes
and it overloads in the kidneys and you know, it
starts moving through all the organs and until you clean
out those toxins, then it can't function properly. So you know,
this is just super easy. I use a activated charcoal
(11:13):
made out of an organic coconut shell, so it's just
inert ingredient. It really doesn't have any you know, properties
of any type like a drug or anything. It is
simply kind of like eating dirt or something like that,
or tree bark, but it will bind with these toksins.
(11:34):
Some of these toxins in your body and get them out.
So just remember that if anybody's feeling nauseous or has diarrhea,
it's a very safe way to just nip that immediately
and stop it. And also I would highly recommend drinking
coconut water. Coconut water is packed with all the minerals
(11:55):
you need to hydrate, and they used it and will
war two for blood transfusions because it was so close
to our own blood physiology. And I've been told by
a couple of doctors that coconut water will actually heal
it a heat stroke and that you can use it
(12:16):
in an IV and it will really really help. But
most chronic disease these days is actually caused from chronic
innercellular dehydration. So we want to make sure we're hydrated.
And that is true even in the fall and winter
months when we're inside and we're you know, kind of
(12:39):
closed up and we've got a lot of possible heat
going on, we get just as dehydrated from that. So
we need to make sure we're hydrated in the fall
and winter as well. And you know, I really encourage
people to drink mineral rich if you have well water
or a local spring near you that's rich in minerals
(13:02):
and sulfur and things like that, then I would I
would highly recommend drinking that, and you know, make sure
your water's really clean and that you're not drinking tap water. Yeah,
when I was married to an environmental trial lawyer for
over twenty three years, and one of the things we
learned is that in the United States, our tap water
(13:26):
is so toxic. It's probably the most toxic thing anybody
has on a daily basis. And so you know, really
look at that. The Environmental Workers Union has a website
on water purifiers and what are the best that they've
tested and which you're the most effective, And if you
(13:47):
want to get a water purifier, they have a list
of a bunch of them, and many of them are
only around forty seventy dollars. You just want to get
the right one and when that actually works, and you know,
I mentioned that, you know, you might want to look
for a spar or a spring near you that has
(14:08):
some water that has sulfur in it. And sulfur is
like a super important nutrient that we need in our body.
And because of the chemical fertilizers they use, all the
sulfur the natural sulfur in the soil is destroyed, and
so most of the food you eat doesn't have this
(14:29):
natural sulfur in it. And it is a major nutrient
that helps get oxygen into the cell. So this is
like so important. Remember doctor Leevy was on the show
about a month ago, and he's the cardiologist, and he
was talking about how oxidative stress in the body is
(14:51):
one of the main causes of any kind of health problem.
So not getting enough oxygen into the cells is really problem.
And so without the proper levels of sulfur in your body,
it is difficult to even build good healthy cells, and
so that can lead to illness. Also, if sulfur is
(15:14):
in organic food, but it's you know, it's kind of fragile,
it can be lost if you are storing that food
for a period of time or processing it or cooking it.
So you know, if you want to get the most
sulfur from your food from if it's organic, then you
want to do raw and processed, whole organic food. And
(15:36):
I just really think that is so important. In another
nutrient that's really fragile that a lot of people are
really low on, and I think is like vital is
vitamin B, and I would say vitamin B complex. And
I know a lot of people just do like be
nine or they just do be twelve, but I really
(15:59):
think you need all of them. And vitamin B deficiencies
can stem from all kinds of problems like weight loss,
surgery can cause it, celiac, if you have anything like chrones,
or if you're taking any kind of commonly prescribed heartburn medication,
and then you can be really low in B vitamins.
(16:21):
And really, I think most people are low in B
vitamins simply because B vitamins are very fragile and they
are really the probiotics of the earth. And the round
up ready herbicide that they use so pervasively in especially
in the US, on our crops and food. It was
(16:43):
originally patented as an antibiotic, which means it destroys all life,
so the soilstead. It destroys a lot of the nutrients
in it. It's a mineral keylator, which means it strips
all the minerals from the soil, so the mineral are
not in the food. So you know this is a
(17:03):
real problem. Well, it just by doing that, it's destroyed
all the b vitamins in the soil, which are the
fragile probiotics of the earth. So I think having a
B complex is a really good thing to take. And
I really like the ones that you put in your mouth,
because I think your mouth is the most absorbent part
(17:26):
of your body, and so you just absorb it really
really well. But you know B one, You know, if
you are low in energy, then you're low in vitamin
B one, B two, and B three because those those
three vitamins are essential for energy production. And then B
five helps your body utilize fats and proteins in the
(17:49):
food you eat, and it helps turn the carbohydrates into
blood sugar so the body can use it for energy.
So foods that contain vitamin B five would be organic
hole sprouted greens, lasumes, eggs. You know how doctor Stephanie
Senneff always says on my show, an egg yolk is
(18:10):
like a whole vitamin pil but it needs to be
a raw egg yolk. So you'd want a high quality
egg yolk that is from a chicken or a duck
or you know, whatever bird it might be that is
out eating bugs and getting fresh air and sunshine and
exercise and are not being raised in an inhumane way
(18:33):
in one of those horrible warehouses where they can hardly
move and they have no sunlight or anything. So you
want to get a you know, really fresh organic egg
yolk if you want to do that. And then also avocados,
baby spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, those all have those B
(18:55):
vitamins in it that would really be helpful. And then
B six helps you your body processed protein, and this
helps your nervous system and your immune system, and these
days we need all that we could get at least
I do anyway, So avocados, things like bananas and eggs
(19:18):
or you know, three of the ways to get B
six and then B seven helps your body produce hormones
and aids in converting food into energy. So I think,
you know, these are like super important. And then folate
is found in citrus, fruits, peanuts, and some mushrooms along
(19:39):
with vitamin A. It is concentrated in green vegetables like romaine,
lettuce and baby spinach, and turnip greens and mistard greens
and parsley, and ruptly in cauliflower. And you know, I
think it's really important that we get at least four
hundred micrograms of folate every day, and I think that's
(20:02):
really important, and you don't want to do the synthetic
form of folate, which is folic acid. Whenever you see
the word acid after a nutrient, you know it's synthetic.
It's a little little tip there. And the high intakes
of folic acid, which is the synthetic form, has been
(20:25):
shown to cause higher risks of cancer as well as
making BE twelve deficiencies. So you want to get a
real whole food vitamin that doesn't have any cheap filler
in it, so you know, avoid things like magnesium stereate
in your vitamins or any of these cheap fillers. You
really want to get one that just lists organic food
(20:48):
as its ingredients. And then the last one would be
vitamin B twelve, which is cobolamine. And it's unique because
it's mostly from meat sources, you know, fish and dairy
and eggs things like that. So you know, I'm a
vegetarian and so I eat eggs and raw dairy and
(21:10):
cheese and things like that, so you know, I get
my B vitamins and I also you know, I just
supplement with summarily high quality ones, and I think it's
really important. And some of the new vitamin B twelves
are methyl cobaling pulla bala mean because a lot of
(21:35):
these vaccines people have gone through the years, they affect
their bodies sometimes so that you don't absorb vitamins properly.
And this is one of the ones that is affected
really extremely. So you can get this new kind of
B twelve vitamin and it will really help you absorb
(22:01):
it better, because you don't want to take any vitamins
that you are able to absorb. That's why I say
get one that's a liquid you put under your tongue,
because then you can hold it in your mouth and
absorb a lot of it before before you before you
swallow it. And then you know, how would you know
if you have a B deficiency? I would say, because
(22:24):
if you if you are low in energy and you've
got like tingling numb numbness, or you've got reduced sensitivity
to pain or pressure, blurred vision, abnormal walking gait, sword tongue,
poor memory, confusion, hallucinations, or personality changes, all of these
(22:49):
are B twelve deficiencies. And when I read that list,
I was really surprised because you know, one of the
contributing factors. I was diagnosed with macular degeneration when I
was in high school and I was battling diabetes because
(23:10):
I was such a sugar addict, and one of the
things that one of the doctors told me is that
I was going to go blind. Well, according to optometrist
Ben Lane of the Optical Society in New York City,
there is a link between near sightedness chromium and calcium levels,
and it's lowered by sugar and protein consumption. And the
(23:34):
excessive intake of sugar and over cooked proteins, they will
use up all the B vitamins in the chromium in
your body, and this causes fluid pressure in the eye
and it contributes to near sightedness. And so B vitamins
are really important to supplement if you eat a lot
(23:56):
of sugar or eat a lot of cooked meats, things
like that. And you know, I live in Texas, so
most people here, I know, I know a lot that
they don't eat any vegetables and fruit, and you know,
really have a lot of health counseling clients around here.
And also if you want to know more about this
(24:19):
type of thing, I write about a lot of this
in my books, and my books are all part cookbook.
How to Be a Healthy Vegetarian book has won eight awards,
and it has an index, and it's extensive on talking
about health and nutrition. Basically, it would apply to anybody,
(24:41):
but it does have extra in it for people who
eat more plant based, and it has a lot of
recipes that will teach you how to prepare your foods
in a healthier way. And I think I'm kind of
a unique cook because I have a whole different steps
in my books that I've never seen in anybody Else's
(25:02):
so kind of interesting. But my Diabetes in Your Diet
book is very good racing healthy children. And five of
my books are on audio. So you might think about
getting somebody love who's being challenged with health and diet
one of these, because Christmas is coming up or birthdays.
(25:24):
And see Kent is asking a question, do I have
a list of fillers on the package of ingredients? Well,
I'll tell you, Kent. If you look at the list
of ingredients in your vitamins, if it lists other ingredients
(25:45):
besides the ingredients for the nutrients, then you know pretty
much that those are just cheap fillers and why they
use them. I have no idea, but magnesium stereoid is
when I see frequently, and it has the attribute of
(26:05):
basically making the ingredient in there not be able to
do what it can do. So it basically makes that
vitamin worthless. And I think a lot of people don't
realize this, and I, you know, understand why they use it,
but you know, it's you just want as pure a
food or a pure vitamin as you can get. And
(26:28):
you know, like my vitamin C. And you know doctor
lee Vy, my wonderful cardiologist that was just on the
show last month who wrote Curing the Uncurable with Vitamin C.
You know, I get a vitamin C that is concentrated
lipisomal and it's made from sunflower seeds and there is
(26:50):
no filler. And I just think it is so important.
And I took I took some of my live on
labs by them and sea and magnesium with me on
my trip. And I met my friend Marine over there.
And one day she woke up and she felt sick
and she felt like she had was getting a sore
(27:11):
throat and she was congested, and she's she doesn't do
all the things I do, just kind of as a
daily protocol to stay well. And she was like, okay, Ni,
it's what do I do? And so, you know, I
made sure she take took vitamin C twice a day
and ate an apple, and we went out and went
(27:33):
to a grocery store in France and I got some oranges,
and then you know, I also had her drink a
lot of mineral rich water. And I took my pink
salt with me and put the salt in our water
and made sure we had really good water. And I
(27:54):
also take my baking soda with me. And I know
that made it sound like good nutrient, but it is
quite remarkable and how it can lift your pH. And
you know doctor Robert Young who's been on my show
quite a few times, and he wrote, pH miracle is
(28:15):
if you are seven point three and above, then you
really basically can't get sick. His disease cannot thrive in
an alkaline environment. It's when we eat acidic food like
fast food or cooked foods or meats or genetically modified
foods or foods with all these chemicals, and then you
(28:38):
know those are all acidic. Also, fear is acidic. So
if you're worried and fearful. You know, that can make
your body real acidic, and that's when disease thrive. So
you can get some pH little papers that you can
you can either do it with your saliva or some
(29:00):
stream of urine first thing in the morning, and it
comes with a little colored chart and you'll see on
there where you are, on how alkaline you are, and
really and truly, doctor Young says that we should put,
you know, fourth of a teaspoon or some baking soda
(29:20):
in a little bit of water three times a day
and stay alkaline. And I have to admit I agree
with him. I think staying alkaline is very important and
that also gets rid of any kind of acid reflux.
So if anybody you know is doing acid reflux, you know,
I would say baking soda is a lot safer than
(29:41):
a pharmaceutical drug that doesn't cure the problem. The baking
soda actually cures the problem. And it doesn't cost anything. Really,
It's like, I don't know what is it for a
little jarvis like two dollars. But I took all these
things with me. I took activated charcoal with me, so
I had my friend take activated charcoal at night before
(30:03):
she went to bed to bind with whatever pathogen was
making her feel bad. I had her do the baking
soda three times a day and get some sunshine, get
some sunshine on your face. And it was but she
told me the next day she was well, so it
(30:24):
was really great. And I also we also put three
percent food grade hydrogen peroxide in her ears. And I
don't know if you've ever put rubbing alcohol in your
ears after swimming. My mom used to do that when
we were kids. After I'd be swimming in the swimming
pool all day long. Just lived in the swimming pool
(30:45):
when I was a child in the summer, and she
would do that to dry out our ears. But also
whenever we got a cold, we would put three percent
hydrogen peroxide in her ears. I've switched to food grade
hydrogen peroxide, which is a purer version, and you can
get that at most of the healthy grocery stores in
(31:07):
the United States. It can be a little more difficult
at other places around the world. In Brazil, I wasn't
able to find any last April when I was there,
but you can find it in many many places and
order it online. But food grade is just really pure
and hydrogen peroxide turns into oxygen in your body, so
(31:30):
it reduces oxidative stress and so I you know, I
use it a lot. I put it in my water
that I rents my mouth out with after I brush
my teeth, I do the three percent in my ears.
If I feel like I'm getting any kind of congestion
up there, I use it to gargle with when you know,
(31:52):
if I ever feel like I have an itchy throat
or anything in my throat. And I also made an
nose spray out of it. Doctor Ed Group has an
excellent article on Global Healing website and it's on the
benefits of food grade hydrogen peroxide, and he had a
few recipes on there, and I made his recipe for
(32:15):
nose spray and I just love it, and I use
it every morning and it just gets rid of any
kind of pathogen in my nasal cavity every morning and
I just breathe great. So you might, you know, look
for some of those things. And I also use the
food grade hydrogen peroxide for cleaning my fruits and vegetables
(32:38):
when I bring them home from the store. If I
don't pick them out of my garden, then I always
clean them. Even if they say triple washed. I'm such
a fanatic. I wash it again, and I just want
to make sure that I get any kind of toxin
off off of my food, and I don't want it,
(32:59):
you know, don't want it on there. And then you
want to make sure you're getting sunshine, and especially in
the winter, because you know, the sunshine your skin turns
the sunshine into vitamin D. It will convert it into
vitamin D, and the vitamin D influences everything in your body.
It's a pro hormone and it is quite literally influences
(33:23):
your all your health. And so you want to just
make sure that you are not low in that. I
think that is critically important, and I really think it's
important to get, you know, I would say it's important
to get a lot more than what the FDA is
requiring or recommending. And in fact, when the FDA recommends vitamins,
(33:49):
it is just to barely keep you alive. It is
not for thriving, and you want to thrive. And so,
you know, one thing I've learned over the years is
that you know, there are different ways to get it,
but you can get some from cod liver oil. That's
a good source of vitamin D. But you know, this
(34:12):
is a pro hormone and it means your body converts
it into active forms of vitamin D. And it is
just so important and it's you know, a deficiency in
vitamin D has been linked to like seventeen kinds of cancer,
autoimmune disease ms O, ceo arthritis, hypertension and high blood pressure, diabetes, depression,
(34:37):
genetic disorders, and cardiovascular disease. So you know, make sure
you're getting in a vitamin D. And the studies have
shown that eighty five percent of the US population is low.
So we need to, you know, get more sunshine. And
remember if you put on sunscreen, you're not getting vitamin
(34:57):
D and it's only able to do it on the
exposed skin. And also you need to get it through
your eyes. I think it is very important to get
it through your eyes. The Institute of Medicine, Food and
Nutrition Board set the RDA of vitamin D for six
hundred I use, and I just think that's really low,
(35:21):
and so you know, I take quite a lot more.
You know, some would say you need at least a
thousand a day, but I know one of these universities
is actually doing the FDA because they think they're recommending
it too low and you want to you know, you
really want to get enough, and so I would say,
(35:45):
you know, I get probably eight thousand I use today,
is what I would do. And and so many of
these things, I mean, you know, they have you worry
about overdosing and stuff. Men. Any of these are water
soluble and you loose them through your urine after about
six hours. And so I don't think anybody is dying
(36:09):
from over nutrition these days. And I think the studies
show that the food today actually has only like thirty
to forty percent of the nutrition in it that it
used to have, and I just think that's really sad.
But you know, let's say, let's start off your day,
try to eat a piece of citrus fruit in the morning,
(36:32):
you know, whatever that may be, whatever is available to you.
I know, I have about fifty eight countries that listens
to my show, so you know everywhere around the world,
you know, look for a vitamin C rich you know,
types of fruit that might be available to you, and
try to put that in its whole real farm in
(36:54):
your diet. You know, I know so many people really
love fruit juices, but you know, fruit juices that don't
have any fiber in them. They just go straight to
your bloodstream and it's kind of like injecting pure sugar
into your bloodstream. So you really want to eat the
whole fruit in its whole real form. Something my sin
(37:18):
started doing with his two boys as they were growing up.
And I really am I think it's really nice that
he's doing this, but he just made it common practice
for every meal. Everybody eats some fresh fruit in its
(37:39):
whole real form, you know, like blueberries or blackberries or
strawberries or orange slices or something. And so my greensins
get fresh vitamins from fruit and they get the healthy
fiber three times a day and they don't even think
about it. I mean, it's something that they just learned
(38:00):
to do. And that's the thing with children, if you
raise them this way, they just assume this is what
everybody's doing and they don't really think about it. But
as they're healthy and they feel so good, it really
benefits them in so many ways. And and so you
(38:21):
know that that is really really important to you know,
just put into practice. And even if you were raised
on fast food and things like that, you can change,
you know, sometimes change isn't always that easy. But if
you focus on you know, think about it. Don't think
of it as a diet, because I think that tells
(38:42):
your subconscious that you're going to put it in starvation
mode and start sabotaging you. But you know, tell tell
yourself that you're on a new healthy eating plan, right
and that you're just gonna, you know, go straight to
the organic section in the fresh fruits and beds department
at the store and see what's there. Things like aspiragus,
(39:05):
they help They help your body make glue to thion,
which is a really great inner cell detoxification attribute, and
I you know, I think a lot of people are
taking glue to thigon these days. Where you know, you
can add a little you know, asparagus to your diet.
I like to just lightly steam it and put a
(39:28):
little butter with some fresh lemon juice on it, so
you get some vitamin C there. And I also like
using lime juice and I like to switch those out.
Something that I think is very important to keep in
mind is that our bodies really like to eat locally,
and they like to eat seasonally, and so it really
(39:51):
thrives some variety. And so if you're eating the same
thing every single day, your body, it starts getting tired
of it and it becomes overload. So you know, add
some variety to your diet. If you're always buying oranges,
try buying tangerines or grapefruits one day and you know,
(40:14):
switch things around. I learned this when my daughter was
in high school and she was singing international opera competitions
and she started getting congested at one point, and the doctor,
of course, wanted to put her on all these you know,
different kind of pharmaceutical things, and we weren't doing that,
(40:37):
and so so I had her blood tested to see
if she had any food allergies. Well, it came up
that she was allergic to spinach and lemons. And my daughter,
she is in high school, tried to be healthy. She'd
make her lunch every day, she was eating spinach salads
(41:00):
every day and doing lemon water. Well, her body just
got overloaded with that, and you know, you would think
those are super healthy foods, right, but you want to
keep variety. So we took her off of it for
ninety days and your body will reset and you'll be
able to add those foods back into your diet after
(41:23):
a while after about ninety days. But you really should
never do foods every single solitary day, So try to
keep variety in your diet. And remember microwave ovens are
not your friend. I highly recommend never using one forever.
(41:44):
And if you want to read more about that, you
can go to the West and a Price Foundation and
they have a really good article on the dangers of
microwave ovens, and so you know in that and really,
the Environmental Workers Group has such great website. They're independent
(42:06):
group that studies different things, different aspects of products on
the market, especially foods and body care things, and they
you know, they will come out with a list of
you know, what were the best ones or what was
in healthy and so it's a really good resource for
all of y'all. And uh, it's totally free. And then
(42:29):
don't overlook healthy fats. Healthy fats are so important for
our body. And I talked about healthy fats, so you know,
the healthiest fats for me are like organic cold pressed
coconut oil. And I say cold press because you don't
want it heated, you do not want fractionated. Those are
(42:53):
those that have been tampered with and it changes the
molecular structure, so you want really clean organic foods, and
the coconut oil is is just highly effective as antioxidant
and it's it's really incredible how it can can really
help your body. It helps your body with its pink
(43:17):
creatic enzymes, and it helps process things. Doctor Artist when
he was on my show, said that it will actually
uh get rid of certain toxins in your body on contact.
But that's what I use for my body lotion, and
I use it on my animals if they have a
hot spot or dry dry patch, and I use it
(43:40):
for cooking because it handles heat better. And I think,
you know, make sure you're you're getting enough healthy fats
in your diet and avoid things like seed oils. You
want to avoid, especially cotton seed oil, which is not
even of food. And that's just kind of crazy that
they would you make a food product with something that's
(44:03):
not even a food, and almost one hundred percent of it,
especially in the United States, is genetically modified and grown
with lots of toxic chemicals. So you know, you want
to avoid things that are cooked with canola oil or
or have canola oil as an ingredient. Canola oil is
(44:25):
really it was developed in Canada and it's a member
of the mustard family, and it was developed genetically modified
from the rape seed, so it's a genetically modified oil.
And the rape seed is one of the most toxic
oils on the planet. And you know, they like to
(44:47):
tell you it's safe, but the studies that I've seen
link it to all kinds of health problems and even
mad cow disease, and so I'm not a real fan
of it. And you have to make up your own
mind on some of these things. But just telling you
what I do personally. And peanut oil. Enre is asking
(45:11):
about peanut oil. Peanuts tend to have a lot of
mold on them, and in the China study by T.
Colin Campbell, he really in his studies thought that peanuts
contributed to disease and he did not recommend that. So,
you know, try to maybe switch to a different type
(45:32):
of oil for you. But I like the coconut oil
and that's my favorite. But make sure you're getting essential
fatty acids. You know, I use coal press, hampt seed
or reflexseed oil for that and I get it at
the refrigerator section in the grocery store. Your nuts should
always be refrigerated because they can get ran sid very quickly.
(45:55):
Same with the oils. I put all my oils in
the refrigerator except coconut. It's a very stable oil, and
so it's become one of my favorites. Well, I so
enjoyed talking with you today. I hope you got some
good information here, and I you know, I just absolutely
love sharing information with y'all and getting your wonderful messages
(46:19):
and your gifts, and thank you so much. I'm so
grateful that that you like my show and that you
get some good information from that. And I'm always grateful
to get your wonderful letters and the presence are always
just absolutely welcome. I probably love that. And just remember
(46:42):
that you know, you can send me questions, and I
love getting questions from y'all. I love getting my questions
during the shows. And I have to admit here, I
like peanuts peanut oil too, and you just have to decide,
you know, you know, get the highest quality if you're
going to get it, and I think I would refrigerate
it and just make sure you don't get things too
(47:06):
too hot. And I think we just cook things too hot.
I'm a raw food chef and I think the live
enzymes and food that hasn't been heated over one hundred
and eighteen is very powerful for healing. So, you know,
just different variations on opinions on what to eat and
how to eat. But I really recommend my books to everyone.
(47:31):
I just wrote about what I know. I share a
lot of this information, and I taught the Healing Diet
for five years, and you know, it's just such a
passion of mine, and really I think it is my
whole lifestyle. I mean, I guess I've been doing this
forty years, and we are what we eat. I mean,
(47:51):
it becomes our blood, our tissue, and ourselves. How can
it not impact everything about our health? So, as I
closed the show today, I just want to tell you
how honored I am for you to share this valuable
time with me, and how I really look forward to
talking to you again next week. And as you go
through your life and you connect with those around you,
(48:13):
just remember to add that main ingredient, and that main
ingredient is always love.
