Welcome beautiful people to organic healthy lifestyle. And I'm Nancy Addison,
your host, and I dearly love to start off my
show with a prayer, and I ask you to join
me whichever we would like. And I just ask our
divine creator please fill our hearts with love and allow
us to remember those who need our prayers the most
(00:58):
and those who have blessed with their lives. Enable us
to become quiet and focused on your spirit of divine love.
Let the waves of peace wash over us and the earth,
clearing away any anxiety or negativity. We embrace, claim, declare,
and gratefully accept your gifts of wisdom, strength, guidance, divine protection, flexibility, abundance, joy, compassion,
(01:26):
and perfect health. Bring peace to our souls that passes

to see your strength. We rejoice in a bright future
together on this peace felled, loving earth. And we ask
this in the highest good of all concern for everyone
listening now and for everyone listening in the future. Thank you,
(01:49):
and so it is, and thank you everybody for listening
to my shows and sharing your valuable time with me.
I'm so grateful. I just got a message from someone
the other that said feed spot has listed my podcast
in the top test top ten best organic food podcasts
in the world. So hallelujah. That's very nice and I
(02:15):
love sharing this information with y'all. So today's part two,
and we're continuing a I have a rundown of you know,
what are some necessary vitamins and nutrients and things that
we need on a daily basis, and what are the
forms we need those in and how do we pick
the right one? And so there are a few things
(02:37):
that I'm going to address today, and I think I'm
also going to just touch on Halloween also because that's
coming up this week and I know that is something
that you know, may may be a part of your
life for somebody's life. I have to admit I never
really liked it. I always thought it was negative, and
(03:01):
I have to admit as a child, I had nightmares
about a lot of different things. In fact, my mom
wouldn't even let me watch The Wizard of Us because
the Witch always gave me nightmares. And so I really
didn't allow my children to go trick or treating when
they were little. I just kind of didn't even mention
Halloween at all. It wasn't until they started going to
(03:24):
school and I had all of this peer pressure, and
then I started getting pressure from other mothers and from
different family people who said I was, you know, really
harming my children by not allowing them to participate in
Halloween activities. So, you know, as some of us do,
(03:45):
and I was one of those, I you know, allowed
my children to you know, start participating in some of
those activities and wearing outfits that were you know, dress
up outfits, which you know I thought about as being,
you know, more fun outfit. So you know, one year,
(04:05):
I think I made my daughter the outfit that she
was a fall leaf and she had leaves in her
hair and and we made I made her an outfit
that had ball leafs on it. And you know, I
did things more of seasonal things or uh, you know,
less less uh I would say less evil, But if
(04:30):
you think about it, I think the sugar, I think
Halloween was really created by the sugar industry who wanted
to sell a lot of candy bars and things, and
I think it was probably supported by the pharmaceutical industry,
who makes a lot of money over you know, people
getting you know, sugar addictions. So you know, as as
(04:51):
I was a sugar addict as a child, so I
totally get this because it took me a long time
to really I would draw myself from that sugar addiction.
In fact, it took me six months of just going
without any kind of sugar at all before my body
would really just stop craving it. Because it really does
(05:14):
act like a drug in your body, and you will
start craving more, and then if you eat more, then
you crave more, and so it works very much like
a drug that you know, you just start craving it,
craving it, and you know, it's funny. When they were
prosecuting Philip's, the cigarette company, for tobacco products, one of
(05:37):
the things that came out in the trials is that
one of the most addictive things in the cigarettes was
that they were soaking the tobacco leaves in sugar and
adding sixty five chemicals to them that were addictive, but
it was actually the sugar that was probably one of
the most addictive parts of those cigarettes. So you know,
(06:00):
anybody that smokes, you might want to tell them to,
you know, get their own organic tobacco and you know,
roll it themselves. Because as we've found out in the
last couple of years with my friend doctor Brian Artists
who's been on the show many times and discussed nicotine
and the healing benefits of nicotine, I highly recommend his
(06:21):
videos on his website, the Doctor Brian artist Show, and
watching some of his videos on how for hundreds and
hundreds of years nicotine actually cured was the panacea. It
was listed in the medical books as the panacea of everything. So,
you know how much misinformation is out there and how
(06:44):
do we cut through that, And I'm hoping that's what
my show does for y'all. And I love getting your
questions and things like that, so so please let me
know if if you have any. So, you know, one
of the things I've learned over the years is that
the research really shows that one teaspoon of sugar can
(07:04):
cut shut down, shut down your immune system for up
to five hours. So Yale University says that children should
get no more than three, possibly four teaspoons of sugar
a day. I think I would even limit that even more.
But you know, as we you know, go into this
(07:25):
kind of how holiday type of season where it kind
of starts off with the Halloween thing, especially here in
the United States, you know, instead of you know, really
doing all this sugary stuff, why don't she try doing
some really creative healthy things. So like I like to
(07:45):
get the little uh round tea injerines or oranges, and
you can peel them and you can stick a little
celery stick in it and you make it look like
a pumpkin and it just kind of makes for a
fun snack or a fun healthy vitamin see rich food
to eat. I like to give my grandchildren things like
(08:06):
stickers or crayons or bubbles or slinkies or sidewalk chalk
or you know, you can go to a dollar store
and you can look in the party section and see
what they have for like party favors, you know, funny
glasses or hacky sacks, and you can pass out things
like that to the children if you're doing that kind
(08:29):
of thing. And you know, I always think this is
one thing I do with my children is I would
make them things like green smoothies and you know, tell
them it was like a Martian drink or something. And
of course my kids grew up eating and drinking green food,
(08:50):
so that wasn't unusual for them. But if they had
friends visiting, you know, they thought that was pretty cool
that they were having, like, you know, a girl drink
or something. So I would make them green smoothies, you know,
and put mangoes and things in them. But so anyway,
just be aware that sugar is highly addictive. It can
(09:12):
shut down your immune system. And as we move into
the holidays, people serve lots and lots of sugar. And
you know what's interesting is I play mauge on once
a week with a lot of women, and I really
love these women. They are so sweet. But one thing
I've noticed about my friends over the years is that
(09:35):
a lot of people, especially ones that are challenged with
a lot of health problems, love to cook desserts and
eat desserts. And somehow they have not correlated that in
their mind to the fact that they're having, you know,
health challenges. So you know, let's start putting some of
(09:56):
these pieces together in our minds and go from there.
And so so let's go into some of the nutrients
that I think are really important for our health and
keeping our bodies strong, especially you know, as we get
into winter months or maybe even more stressful situations. You no,
(10:19):
holidays can be stressful in many ways because of travel,
you get around family, people that you may not be
around much, and you just want to be aware that
you know, take deep breathing and focus on, you know,
saying things that are positive and kind and just being thoughtful.
(10:42):
You know, you know, we don't always have to have
a quick reply or something. Let's you know. In fact,
in many ways, the less words we speak probably the
better we listen, and then we can also really think
through our answers before we say. But one of the
(11:03):
nutrients I don't think we went to last week was zinc.
And I think zinc is one of the most important
minerals that what we really need, and it helps with
the production of approximately one hundred enzymes, and it contributes
to building up our immune system, and it's required by
(11:23):
protein and DNA synthesis, it's required by insulin activity, and
your liver function requires it. So it is really important
and it's not stored in the body, so you have
to get it regularly. And men need actually one more
one third more zinc than women because they're prostate land
(11:47):
and semen are highly concentrated with zinc. So this is
really really important. I don't know about y'all, but I
know so many men that have prostate problems, and I
think a lot of it may be, you know, related
to their diet or lack of certain nutrients. So you know,
(12:07):
zinc is super important, and the deficiency may appear as
like skin problems or if you have no taste. If
you can't taste anything, you know you have a zinc deficiency.
And since it's a mineral, and it's a water soluble
mineral and your body does not store it in the body,
(12:30):
you really don't have to be too concerned about doing
too much zinc right because you urinated out about every
six hours. So this is something that is very important
to put in your eating plan every day. And so
lack of taste, it really hurts your immune system if
(12:54):
you don't have it. You can have hair loss if
you don't have it. And I have to admit, I
know many men, people, even young people today that have
hair loss. So are they not getting the nutrients they
need every day, like zinc. If wounds are not healing
fast or properly, that's another indication that you are low
(13:16):
in zinc. And then if infants are not growing fast enough,
if they're having a poor growth rate, that could be
a zinc deficiency. So what are some healthy foods you
can add to your eating plan that would really help?
Lentils are one of them, and I think we talked
about this last week. And when you're cooking lentils, you
(13:39):
want to make sure you have sprouted those lentils overnight.
You want to remove the phytic acid and in some inhibitors.
And also the antioxidants are the color pigment. And when
I go to the store and I'm looking for lentils,
sometimes I'll see you like black one, or red ones,
(14:01):
or even golden ones, and then there's usually some white ones. Well,
if the antioxidant is the color pigment. I like to
get the darkest, deepest, richest color of food I can,
and I get it in an organic form. Right, So
I get organic I get most of the time I
(14:23):
buy in bulk, and I will get the darkest color.
I think they're usually called black French linils or something,
and they're tiny, But then I get them home and
I soak them overnight to remove those in sime inhibitors,
the phytic acid. You want to sprout them. You may
(14:44):
not see the sprout, but if you soak them overnight
and they're small like that, I think that really has
been shown to remove that in some inhibitor. And then
I cook it. And I have really great recipes in
my books how to be a Hell healthy Vegetarian, Alive
in Cooking, Racing healthy Children, Diabetes in your diet, lose weight,
(15:08):
get healthy, and never be on a diet again. I
put these steps in my recipes, and I explain a
lot of this information. So the first part of my
beds are usually nutrition information, and the second part it's
usually healthy recipes, because if you can't make what you're learning,
then you know what good is it. And so we
(15:30):
want to be able to actually make the foods that
are good for us and then use this. And in
the back I usually put resources on how to stock
your kitchen, how to go grocery shopping. You know, different
types of foods and brands and labels I look for,
so you know, just just some little things like that,
(15:53):
But what are some other foods that might have zinc
and them? So it says to me, seeds like SEMy
seed paste. Pumpkin seeds are actually one of my favorite
ways to get zinc and I love them. And I
buy a product from a company called go Raw and
(16:14):
they have organic sprouted pumpkin seeds, and sometimes I'll get
the packages that are organic sprouted pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds,
and frequently I'll grind those up and I'll sprinkle them
on my cat food or my dog food. They're extremely
good for your pets. And also it's it's really interesting
(16:37):
and I don't know what it is about pumpkin seeds
or if it's the zinc, but parasites really hate it.
And I've put it. I've sprinkled it on wild animal
food when I'm rehabbing wild animals like possums, and the
next day I'll notice in their poop that they you know,
like pooped out at like a huge parasite like a tapeworm,
(17:00):
and their healths just starts improving dramatically after that. But
it's a super easy, healthy way to get rid of
parasites as well as boost your immune system and get
that zinc into your body, so you know that is
those are really easy. And then also certain beans and
(17:22):
wheat germ will have some zinc in it. But if
you're getting a zinc supplement, and I had a couple
of questions on this last time, but if you're getting
a supplement, I was mentioning that there are certain harmful
fillers in organic vitamins that you need to look out
(17:44):
for because they can quite literally make your vitamin, you know,
like not very good, and it may have all these
great ingredients in it, but then they add this cheap
filler for whatever reason. So now I always look for
companies and products that have no fillers added on the label.
(18:06):
But one of the ones to look out for is
magnesium sterrate, and it's a filler. It's like a lubricant,
and the research shows that it hinders the nutrient absorption,
it suppresses your immune system, and it will damage your
intestinal lining. So look out for that one. Magnesium sterrate.
(18:30):
And then hydrogenated oils are frequently added to certain supplements
and they can be in healthy supplements. Some people just
don't know about these cheap fillers, So personally, hydrogenated zoybean
oil is usually one of them, and it can increase
your risk of heart disease, stroke and also blood sugar problems.
(18:52):
And then talc which is also known as magnesium silicate.
It's an anti caking agent and they put it in
certain things, but it poses a risk to lum lung
in stomach issues. And then titanium dioxide is added to
a lot of tablets and capsules to make it look
(19:13):
brighter white, and there's no nutritional benefit, but it's linked
to inflammation of the lungs, small intestines, kidney damage, DNA damage,
and so the European Food Safety Authority banned it from
food in twenty twenty two, and as we can you know,
(19:35):
just guess, the FDA has not done that in the
United States. Sur price. Then there's per gene I'm not
sure how to pronounce that. It's a thickener and it's
derived from seaweed and it's used as a binder and
a lot of vegan supplements, and it can cause gastro
(19:56):
intestinal distress, inflammation and other health problems. And then in
a lot of these various supplements they put artificial colors
like red dye number forty or yellow dye number five.
And these are not organic and they can have very
adverse effects and so you know, there's no nutritional value.
(20:20):
They do not make your supplement any better. In fact,
they make them worse, so you know, be on the
lookout for that. And so let's see, Randy has a
question here where can the books be found and are
they on audiobook? Well, thank you, Randy, that's so sweet
of you to ask that. My books can be found
(20:41):
on my website organic heealthylife dot com. But you can
find them on Amazon and also on borders. And yes,
five of my books are in audio, five of them
out of the seven, and that's not bad. So I
(21:02):
do like to listen to books also, So that's something
that is just really a nice thing to have when
I got to live out in the country and I
drive a lot, and I try to make you know,
my driving fun and interesting, and when I'm driving, I
like to listen to books or two different podcasts of people.
(21:27):
So you know, that's a good way to spend that time,
you know, driving you know, all over the place. But
all right, let's talk about that. This is something I
wanted to touch on. There are dangers in my opinion
(21:47):
from my research of having synthetic vitamins instead of normal
whole food or I shouldn't say normal, what I would
consider God given quality nutrients made from whole real food.
And so some of the things that some of the
(22:08):
studies I've read over the years have shown that these
synthetic vitamins, I mean, if you think about it, God
didn't give you a little baby and just say here,
fill it full of chemicals. God gave us, He's sold babies,
and he is like he made all the food we needed. Right. So,
(22:31):
synthetic vitamins can contain isolated high doses of specific nutrients.
Some of them can be in excessive amounts, and they
can disrupt your balance, and personally, I don't think they
are absorbed into your cells like food is, and they
can typically only provide a fraction of the nutrientsan in
(22:54):
their natural components. And while whole foods can contain a
complex arrays of bitochemicals and enzymes and cofactors and they
all work synergistically with your body, with your natural body,
these synthetic vitamins lack these abilities and their effectiveness is
(23:17):
really limited, and the natural vitamins are bound to other
compounds such as proteins or enzymes, and these enhance their
absorption and the utilization in the body. But synthetic vitamins
are often derived from isolated chemicals that are not recognized
(23:38):
or utilized by the body, so their bioavailability can be
significantly lower, and so there's reduced effectiveness. And then there's
also the fact that these are synthetic. They can accumulate
in the body because they the body doesn't use them
like it would natural, norm normal vitamins that are normally
(24:02):
in your food or or your liquids that you're drinking,
and so these synthetic versions are not They don't they
don't have the same kind of absorption and and they
don't have an ability to prevent that toxicity like it
would with a natural, whole organic vitamin. So if you're
(24:25):
consuming high doses of synthetic vitamins, you can actually get toxic.
So if you ever are having some of those, you might,
you know, be careful that you don't get nauseous or
dizzy or have organ damage because of it. So you know,
just look on your vitamins, look for ones that say
(24:45):
no cheap filler, no additives, things like that, and also
you know, I look for ones that list like organic
broccoli or organic spinach or organic you know, eats or
things like that in my supplement. So I want to
know what it's made from, right, I want to know where,
(25:09):
if it's mined, if it's a mind substance, Like I
like magnesium chloride because the chloride is a electrolyte and
it's one of the most absorbable magnesium types that you
can take. And I put on that oil, well, I
get one that's naturally mined in the Netherlands and it
(25:31):
just absorps right in. And you know, like doctor Leevy said,
what was said about a month ago when he was
on the show the cardiologist who wrote Reversing Disease with Magnesium.
He said, if you don't do anything at all every day,
magnesium is the one thing you need, because you know,
there's so many things in our body that don't work
(25:52):
with magnesium. Like if you even have vitamin D in
your body, which is a pro hormone, which is just
about every selling your body and incredibly important for staying healthy,
if you don't have magnesium in your body, then you
cannot use your vitamin D. All of these these vitamins,
these these minerals, these all work together. They're like a symphony.
(26:15):
So you know, eating whole real food that has this
symphony of vitamins and minerals and nutrients in them, you know,
that is such a healthy way to get them, because
then they all work together in unison and you absorb
them so much better. And so you know, what are
some of the ones to really look out for. And
(26:37):
and so you know one I notice, and here I'll
tell you a really quick way to tell if it
is synthetic or not. But vitamin C. Vitamin C is
so important, right, Doctor Leevy wrote the book called Curing
the Uncurable with Vitamin C. And he has always told
(26:59):
me that if you ever see blood, any kind of
bleeding in the body, blood of any kind, you know,
like I had one client that was throwing up blood,
he said that that is a lack of vitamin C
and that we need vitamin C every day and excuse me,
and that this vitamin C is so important. Well, the
(27:21):
synthetic version of that is called ascorbic acid. And so
if you see like the word acid in a ingredient list,
like bolate, the B vitamin bolate, the synthetic version of
that is fullic acid. Right, So if you see the
(27:42):
word acid I have, that just kind of set off
a little, you know thing in your mind where you go, oh,
this one's synthetic. I'm not going to get that when
I'm going to avoid it. So, you know, I don't
think that they are as as hell healthy as taking
a natural version, and I purposely avoid them. So they're
(28:06):
usually produced through chemical processes using substances that don't occur
naturally in the body. And the long term effects of
these artificial compounds they just quite literally are not understood
at this time, and there have not been any really
long term studies that show, you know, what these do
(28:29):
to your body. But the studies that I've I've seen
and there was one that was very specifically on fullic
acid and they started looking into you know, is fullic
acid the synthetic version, is that really contributing to things
like prostate cancer and different types of cancer, And that
(28:55):
is quite literally what you know, there have been studies
on that. So the natural B vitamin full eight is
really good for you and very very important, but and
it's found in a lot of foods that fullic acid
is synthetic and it just behaves differently in the body.
So that's known as vitamin B nine, and so I
(29:19):
think it's really important that you use the real vitamin
instead of the synthetic version. So some of the ways
some of the things that might have synthetic vitamins added
to them are like fortified foods, multi vitamins, prenatal supplements,
(29:42):
things like that. So you want to eat more whole
real food in its natural form instead of things that
come out of a box. And you know, it's like,
if you see the word natural, natural can be one
hundred percent chemically derived, and by FDA standard, they can
still put the word natural on there. So natural flavorings
(30:04):
can be mona soodium glutenate, a chemical that's highly addictive
and causes brain damage, or natural flavorings. You know, that
could be a synthetic chemical version of a natural food.
Like let's say an orange. Let's say they took the
(30:25):
orange and they took the orange flavor and they did
a chemical version of that and they made it in
a laboratory. But I'll tell you what they do because
they want you to buy that food, and they're whoever's
buying that natural flavoring from them, wants people to want
their food over and over again. They put something in
there that activates something in your brain that will cause addiction.
(30:50):
And so I would, you know, highly recommend trying to
eat more real food in its whole, real form and
try to avoid any of these fortified foods or foods
that have added nutrients to them, because I'm guessing unless
it says on there that it's an organic, non synthetic version,
(31:11):
I wouldn't I wouldn't trust it. So, you know, just
something to be on the lookout for. But you can
go online and you can, you know, really look this
up yourself. You can look up the dangers of synthetic
like synthetic fullic acid or synthetic vitamins and they will
(31:32):
come up. And so anyway, I I think it's important
to know, and you know, if you do feel like
you need some better nutrition or are more different vitamins
in your diet to stay healthy, especially in the winter,
then I would really, you know, start looking at some
(31:55):
of the foods that are just really important for staying well.
And I think adding a piece of whole real fruit
and a piece of citrus fruit to your mourning diet
and to your afternoon diet is really important. So you know,
try to eat at least one piece of real fruit
(32:17):
every day, and with your meals, you know, have a
vegetable with your meals. Have one or two vegetables with
your meals. If you're a meat eater, and try to
get all of that nutrition in your diet. I know
a lot of people love to eat a lot of meat,
but there's no fiber in meat, and that's really just protein.
(32:42):
I'm not so sure how many vitamins and minerals you
get from all of that. But if you really look
into rejuvenating your health and healing, you know, doctor Esselstein
wrote a whole book on reversing heart disease a plant
based diet and then diabetes. I mean, it's been prooven
(33:05):
that if you can go on one hundred percent plant
based diet and mostly raw which is uncooked, unprocessed foods,
then your body heals so much faster. And and so
I just want to encourage y'all, and I would love
to give y'all a challenge, just a personal little challenge
(33:29):
between you and me. But you know, in the next
few months, you know, just try making sure you eat
you know, a whole piece of organic fruit at least
once a day, or having a whole organic vegetable once
or twice a day. And if you can increase that,
(33:52):
if you're already doing that kind of thing, I would
suggest try a new vegetable, try a new fruit, go
outside your box. Let's really just expand our lives and
make them better. It's like Jodahspins always says, if you
want your life to change for the better, then you've
(34:13):
got to create new and you have to have new experiences.
And if you're doing the same old thing every day,
then you're going to get the same old thing, because
you know, we're just kind of repeating. Where people of habit,
we can be very much creatures of habit. And I
(34:33):
have to admit I've really embraced this challenge stepping out
trying to do new adventures. I get invited to things
that I've never done it, and I just think, Okay,
I'm not so sure I really want to do that,
and it sounds a little scary, but let me think
about it. And frequently I'll just embrace it and go, Okay,
(34:55):
I can do this, and I'll try it, and I
usually end up having so much fun. So, you know,
and another part of that challenge might be, you know,
if you don't normally cook, maybe maybe you could actually
cook a meal at home, and if you have a
family or a friend, get him to cook with you.
(35:19):
Make it fun, make it up like a party. I
light a candle, I played music. I make it an experience.
And you know, I just got back from France at
my daughter's wedding, and it is not unusual for people
in France to have a three hour meal and just
talk and enjoy it and digest your food. So I'm
(35:44):
gonna just, you know, challenge all to make that meal
and the making of the food and experience that you
just enjoy and can can change into you know, one
of the best parts of your day. So we have
a question here with Cindy. Do you think fruit can
help a bit with everyone a little bit? To start
(36:07):
with Cindy, I really do. I think fruit is I'm
gonna really push the fact that I really appreciate quality food,
meaning foods it's not gmo, hasn't had a lot of
pesticides or herbicides put on it, and it is an
(36:27):
organic fresh fruit off of a tree or a vine.
Or something, because you know, tomatoes are also really fruits,
but they recategorized them way back when because they made
more money off of it if they changed it to
a vegetable. But it's really a fruit. But yes, I
do believe fruit can help with everyone, and I think
(36:51):
we really do need it. I think the fiber and
also the hydration from it is very important for keeping
your intestinal track and keep it moving, and I think
it also helps hydrate you. And then doctor Levy and
he cites a lot of doctor Clinner's work, who was
(37:12):
really truly just curing everybody that came in the hospital
he worked at in the United States. He was over
in the South. I want to say it was North Carolina,
but it might be South Carolina. But doctor Clinner was
putting people on vitamin C just immediately, and he was
(37:33):
quite literally curing everyone that came into the hospital with
vitamin C. And vitamin C escorts toxins out of the cell.
And people don't realize this, but a lot of our
eyes are actually made out of vitamin C and we
need vitamin C for our eyes. And studies show that
(37:55):
if you want to improve your eyesight or prevent cataracts,
you need at least a thousand diegrams a day, and
the studies they did used five hundred in the morning
and five hundred in the afternoon. Because it's a water
soluble nutrient and you urinated out about every six hours,
so adding it over and over to your diet is
(38:16):
a really good thing to do. And yes, I mean
I would, Cindy. I would say, start with what you can,
with what you have available to you where you are,
and just start adding it to your diet. And as
I've changed my diet over the years, and as y'all
know from my story, I grew up on a lot
(38:38):
of fast food, processed foods in the fifties and sixties,
and a lot of sugar laden foods, and I had
so many health problems, a lot of artificial dyes and
colorings in our food, treans, fats. Just it's amazing that
the baby boomers have survived all that. But you know,
(39:01):
I'm seventy now, and I have to admit it. It
was when I started learning about whole real food and
adding real food to my diet that my health just
transformed itself. And now I just feel great and I
have not been ill in decades and it just is
(39:21):
really great. Not even thinking about that. But I use
food as my medicine, and fruit is one of the
things I add daily at least twice in order for
my own personal self to stay well. And doctor Thomas
Levy l ev Y, his book is Curing the Uncurable
(39:42):
with Vitamin C. He is a world famous cardiologist and lawyer,
and he is just brilliant. He's been on my show
quite a few times, and he just really believes we
need a lot of vitamin C. Intact, yesterday I ordered
a vitamin see I drop just I know, isn't that interesting,
(40:04):
but I saw it. I was trying to help someone
who needed it for their dog. And so I counsel
people for their health, and I cancel people for their
animal health too, And I really love connecting with people
and helping them with these health challenges that they are having.
And the vitamin C I think is just so helpful
(40:29):
in so many ways. But doctor Klinner, and that's k
l E N n e R. If you want to
look that up and look him at yourself. But he
would have people come in who had DDT poisoning, which
they of course called polio back then. I think the
truth has come out that all the polio was really
(40:49):
DDT poisoning, but he was curing them with the vitamin
C ivs. And of course, back then they were making
the vitamin C out of real fruit, whereas now you
have to be careful getting any kind of vitamin civ
because a lot of the vitamin C that they're using
is synthetic, or it's from genetically modified corn or made
(41:14):
by pharmaceutical companies. So if you are getting any of
those healthy ivs anywhere, call the people and find out
what they're using in those ivs, because you do not
want anything synthetic in your veins, especially, and you certainly
don't want any gmo corn vitamin C in your veins.
(41:37):
But doctor Clinner was really brilliant, and doctor Leevy has
studied his work extensively, and then of course doctor Clinner
actually influenced Linus Palling to do research on vitamin C
and he won a Nobel Prize for his research into
vitamin C. So you know, it's just it's one of
(42:00):
those powerful, powerful fruits. And just remember your taste beds
are constantly regenerating, so every two weeks you get new
taste beds. So if you're trying a new fruit, or
if you're trying a new vegetable, or if you're trying
to eat something that you haven't normally eaten, your taste
beds are adjusted to what you're eating now. So if
(42:21):
you're used to eating fast foods or processed foods, or
a lot of sugar foods, your taste beds are adjusted
to that. But if you can stick with your new
diet or your new food or something for at least
two weeks, your taste beds get a chance to adjust,
and then that food literally will taste better in two
(42:42):
weeks than it did the first day. And I find
it a lot with my clients who, you know, I
might tell him this would be a better, you know,
something for you to eat than what you're eating, and
at first they're like, oh no, I just don't know
if I could do this, And I'll say, please try
to stick with it, you know, because I can't force
(43:03):
you to do anything, and it's just a suggestion. It's
you know, ultimately, you're in charge of your health, right
so you are ultimately in charge of what you hear
and how you implement it. And so if they stick
with it, I usually get a phone call about two
weeks out and they're like, oh my gosh, that's my
favorite food in the whole world. I love it, you know.
(43:26):
And I think also when you give your body healthy food,
your your body starts really enjoying the benefit of that.
It stops craving all those other bad things that you
were having, and it starts craving the good stuff that's
naturally good for it. And that's what I found works
(43:47):
for me anyway, and so I think, uh, you know,
give it a try. Let's see. Jeff is asking how
long does it take for zinc to start working to
get your taste bet Yef. I don't know. I think
it depends on each person and how depleted you are.
But it is a water soluble nutrient, and I would
(44:09):
say if you start eating zinc, I would think it
should be pretty quick. It depends on how much you're
eating a day and how depleted you might be. But
you know, you want to have it in a whole,
real food form so that you're getting all the benefit
of all these other vitamins nutrients that support it as well.
(44:32):
So I would say, you know, sprouted pumpkin seeds are
a really good way to have that, and if you
you know, sprinkle them on your salads, sprinkle them on
your vegetable dishes. You could probably even grind them up
and sprinkle them on your meat dishes if you you know,
eat meat. But you know, I think a lot of
(44:52):
these nutrients, like ground up pumpkin seeds, are absolutely delicious.
And I have a coffee being grinder. Oh heavens, it
must be. It's so old if mus see fifteen years old.
You know, I don't know what it costs back then,
forty dollars or something. It has certainly paid for itself well,
(45:14):
but I use it for grinding up seeds and nuts
and then I sprinkle them on my food and there's
just so many wonderful benefits for that. And so you know,
try doing that. And you know, Jeff, why don't you
write down on a scale of one to ten each
(45:38):
day what you're tasting, like a zero, start eatings and
see what it takes, See what it takes, and then
I would continue doing that. But like for Father's Day
for my son last year, and he has two boys,
you know, I bought them a big, huge two pound
bag of sprouted pumpkin and stead and flower seeds to
(46:01):
snack on, and what a healthy snack, especially for boys
because you need more zinc than girls do, and you know,
it just helps your overall health. In fact, my poor children,
every time they get presents from me, they're frequently you know,
things like healthy organic food that my kids love to
(46:22):
cook and they love to eat. And I always feel
like they have enough stuff, you know, the materialistic things.
There's just so much stuff you can have and then
you have to like take care of it all and
get rid of it or you know, manage it or
dust it. And so you know, my presence are usually
healthy things you can use right now, right like I'll
(46:44):
give them a non toxic, really healthy you know, new
shampoo or body wash, or you know, different type of
food or uh, you know, different different things of that sort.
So my grand says, birthdays coming up, and it's going
to be nine, and I was thinking, oh, my gosh,
what do you give a nine year older's birthday that
(47:06):
he didn't already have, because you know, they have everything
these days, right, and they really don't do technology. My
son really limits that and they do very little, if any,
And so I was thinking, you know, what can I
give him that would be unique. So I'm getting him
some books on how to communicate with your cat and
(47:27):
how to communicate with your dog, because you know, there
are different different ways that they act that can give
you signs about what they're talking about, our meaning. And
oh my goodness, it is like one minute till the
end of my show, and it just went so fast.
I love y'all so much. I am just so thankful
that I get to share this information with y'all every week.
(47:50):
And I'm sorry I got to the end so quickly,
but I thank you so much for joining me. I
think you're all just marvelous, and I just want to
say I really look forward to talking to y'all next week.
And as you connect with each other and you go
through your lives, just remember to add that main ingredient,
(48:11):
and that main ingredient is always love.
