Nice.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Thank you so much for having us, Oh my pleasure
and for a code read.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
And that storm.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
You guys look like really good like and you were
sheltered in a great place because you look like you're
right to go.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
We got away from the rain pretty quick. We were
good to go.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
Yeah, I know, like I'm expecting everybody to come in
here like they just went through a storm, and you guys,
it looked like you just came out of like a
fashion mat.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yeah. She just used it for extra time to get ready.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Yeah. See it was a benefit exactly.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
So tell our listeners a little bit about how you
got too Louder than Life.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
I don't mean how you drove here, but like, what
was the road to Louder than Life.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
We started playing music together about ten years ago and
it's kind of just been this like really organic process
for us.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
We never rushed it.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
We started so young that we just always felt like
we knew what we wanted to sound like we were
going to take our time to get there. We were
going to figure out take our time growing our performance
and take our time growing our writing. And I've spent
a lot of time in the studio working with some
amazing producers and played thousands of shows. And yeah, I
mean really everything kind of started clicking for us really
over the past year with our debut record, new addiction
(01:37):
and new agency and new management and everything just came
together for us this past year.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
It's so excited to be here.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
This is our first time playing a major festival in
the US, first time playing at Danny Wimmer.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
So wait a minute, So your first time playing a
major festival in the US and you're playing at what
was called a couple days ago now the largest festival
rock festival in the whole country.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah, yeah, we're really hype excited. Yeah, how cool is that?
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Man? Listen.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
I don't know how much you've experienced you've had so
far with Danny Wimmer, but I've only heard good things
from artists of how.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
He treats the artist.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
That's what we've heard too.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
What a place to start.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
It's almost a bad thing you're starting here because ed
when you go to the crappier festivals you'll be like, oh,
where is this?
Speaker 3 (02:26):
What happened to this?
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Exactly? Yeah. For us, it's always just like you know,
with the rain or whatever it is.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
We're kind of just like we have our crew and
we've played so many shows and it's kind of just
like whatever the circumstances are, if we can get our
gear on the stage, we're good to play. We're excited
that it's a nice, beautiful Danny Wimmer festival that's our
first one, but we're kind of down to rock whatever,
and we make it work no matter what.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
And you're talking about new music. You just dropped a
new single like two days ago, right, No, so.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
That was a yeah the remix you're talking about? Yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah. So funny thing about that is we didn't
even know that was happening really.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
Oh see, So I'm glad I asked about They did
a feature on that song a long time ago, and
it was released a long time ago, and then it
was like a year ago, like the other animal Spotify
were like, yeah, what's happening.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
We're like talking to our management on our label and
we were like, we didn't know this was happening or whatever.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
It's a cool remix. It's really cool. You guys should
check it out.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
But yeah, we put out our album two months ago,
New Addiction, and yeah, we're getting ready to release some
music for our next record very soon as well.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
So I love that so quick.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Yeah, No, we've been in the studio already, and it's
hard because we're touring the rest of the year.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
We have a headline tour.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
After this, we go home for about two weeks and
then our headline tour take kicks off and we're on
the road till two days before Christmas.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
So we're getting ready to grind.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
So we had to get in the studio and start
working on that next record, and we're really excited with
how it's coming out.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
So I love that because it used to be like that,
and I find a lot of artists nowadays it's like
three years before a new album, and I think it
constantly need new fresh material, especially nowadays with so many artists.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Yeah, just stay relevant. You gotta keep putting new stuff out.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
Especially a band, and that's kind of on the come up,
you know. Obviously we're not like super super established or
anything like that. So I feel like when you're a
band competing for people's attention. It's super important to constantly
have like just new content and new songs, and people
want to know. For us, the songs are like our
diary and our lives, and so people want to know
what's going on. And so I feel like that's kind
of like the thing with us is just constantly putting
(04:21):
out something new for people to listen to, but we're
always want to take the time to make sure that
it's like as good as it can possibly be.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
So it's a balancing action.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
And so, how do you you've been working together for
a long time and started young, how do you feel
your music on this new album has really evolved or
you as an artist?
Speaker 3 (04:38):
It's really evolved since the beginning.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
We kind of always knew what we wanted to sound like.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
It's evolved a little bit over the years, but I
think on this last record, we really locked in on
that sound. We worked with Kevin Thrasher, who's an amazing
producer and a great friend, and we locked in on
that sound that we like, really figured out, and we're
able to tap into this thing that we've been chasing
for a really long time, a comm of different elements
and sounds and different stories and lyrics that we wanted
(05:04):
to put into writing, and now on this next record,
we're trying to just expand upon that same sound, do
more with the same world that we've already built.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
Yeah, So what was that moment in time that you
got the music bug in your life? Not necessarily for
this project, but going way back to the beginning for
both of you, the.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
Only project we've ever been a part of because we
started when I was about eight nine years old, So
this is all we've ever known forever.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Yeah, I love it.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yeah, there's no other project, nothing else.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
But what prop did you to even start the project?
Speaker 5 (05:36):
Like where singing? And I started singing super young, and
I would perform like open mics and little things like that,
and I would always make him sit with me, and
he was doing nothing, just like sitting on stage as support,
and that looked really stupid and dumb. So we put
a guitar on him and he's been playing guitar for
since then.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
I think, Yeah, that's a that's how the story goes.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
You played piano really young, like we were in lessons.
So music has always been like a part of our
lives from super young, and our parents are super into
music as well as though, and I.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Wish music lovers do well, but being music lovers at least,
they are probably supportive.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
And like most parents, that may be like got a
real job or.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Something like that, because I think it's so important to
have that support system.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
Yeah, do you follow your dreams?
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Yeah, especially from that young of an age, it was
cool because it was always to our parents. It was
never like you can't do that, you have to go
get a real job, but it was very much so like,
if you're gonna do it, it has to be your
real job. So we got you're not going to like
be a bomb. You got to like dedicate your whole
life to this if that's what you're gonna do. And
that's what we've done, and we've been working like that
for years and so it's been a really cool experience.
(06:44):
Obviously it's a very different lifestyle. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
So, yeah, I love that, and I think I already
know the answer. But do you feel you missed out
on anything? Starting so young and put that kind of
effort into it, Like some people will be like, oh,
I didn't get to be a kid, I didn't get
to do this, and then there's other people like.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
No, like this is all I ever wanted to do anyway.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yeah, I think we I don't think we really did.
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I feel like being a musician is like it's a
lot of the things that you get from like a
good childhood where you're like have the freedom to do
what you want to do and stuff like that, Like
you get that by being a musician anyway. So and
it's so much fun to be just like on stage
and connecting with fans and stuff like that. I don't
really feel like I missed out on anything. Maybe a
year or two of college life, but I think I
would take the band life over.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
It right right.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
I would too, you know, but it is only made
out for certain people, like my youngness Store. I'll bring
her to the festivals sometimes because I do all the
festivals in the US, UK and Europe, and halfway through
the first day, like Dad, I don't know how you
do this.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Every weekend, I'm done.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Yeah, the festivals are grueling, Like, we don't. This is
our first US festival. We did download last year of Europe.
I think I saw you oh a very cool Yeah,
we did download rock for people Jar on air and
those were and we were on tour with a band
called Missio, and we were at a bunch of the
festivals the year before as well, and we've experienced them
and they are grueling.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
It's a lot. The festivals specifically are a lot.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Touring life, like when you're doing your regular like day
to day touring lifestyle is a lot easier than the
festival days because it's your on somebody else's schedule now
and it's right you have to be on, so you
know the different things. But I think you get used
to it, just like anything else. But I do think
you're right. There's certain people that just they have their
lifestyle the way that it is and they're not built
for the constant change of you don't know how many
(08:32):
hours you're going to sleep, or you don't know if
the bus is going to be moving with you're sleeping,
and that kind of thing.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
So it gets to some people for sure.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
And then being confined with the.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Same people, Yeah, that's the most important thing. The most
important thing is finding people that you can bear to
be with that long.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
One hundred percent. Like it's just like family, Like you're
a kid and you have siblings. Sometimes you like are
lifelong best friends with them. Other times it's like I
can't wait to get out of the house to get
await from these people.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
But I still love them, but I don't want to
hang out with them all.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
The time, right right, And you know, it's one of
those things where you just got to find people that
you can be around for that long.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
That's really it.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
What else would you like to let the listeners know
that we haven't covered already besides your socials and web.
Speaker 2 (09:14):

for the next year. We talked about that briefly. We're
