He mentions that he was a touring guitar technician and had put bands together in the past, but they always fell apart. After moving to Wilmington, North Carolina, he became friends with one of the local music shop guys who was building a studio and offered his services. The studio's business partner was the band's other guitar player, Worth, and after meeting each other, they realized that their ideas of what a band should be were aligned. They started creating music together, and when they had a few cohesive tracks, they got a friend to come and do some drums. Afterward, they convinced Jeremy, whom Tristan had met through touring, to join the band. The band now has its unique sound, and while it may not be reinventing the wheel, it has its voice.
