Aftershock 2025 Draws Record-Breaking Crowd Of Over 164,000 Fans, The Largest In The Festival’s History

The West Coast’s Ultimate Rock, Punk & Metal Destination 115+ Bands • 4 Unforgettable Days • Fans From Every Corner of the Globe

Danny Wimmer Presents’ record-breaking 2025 festival season concluded October 2–5 with the largest Aftershock in history — drawing over 164,000 fans from all 50 states and more than 30 countries to Sacramento’s Discovery Park, generating an estimated $35 million in local economic impact.

The West Coast’s biggest rock, punk, and metal festival reached new heights in 2025.

Debuting in 2025, Aftershock introduced several new fan-favorite experiences that elevated the  festival weekend to new heights. The Capitol Club offered an all-inclusive oasis with premium amenities and elevated views of the main stage, while Tremors Dive Bar kept the energy high with a pop-up set by  DJ Rock Feed with surprise guests My Darkest Days, and a special Sunday takeover by Sacramento’s own The Jungle Bird. Fans also discovered spontaneous performances at Beatbox and a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it speakeasy hidden beneath the underpass — each adding to the sense of discovery and excitement that defined this year’s festival.

To celebrate DWP’s cultural and economic impact to the region, Sacramento Mayor Kevin McCarty, Senator Angelique Ashby, and Assemblymember Maggy Krell honored Danny Wimmer Presents with official recognitions from the City of Sacramento, the California State Senate, and the California State Assembly. The proclamation and resolutions celebrate Aftershock’s decade-long legacy, recognizing its profound cultural, economic, and charitable contributions to the Sacramento community and beyond, and highlighting how the festival has firmly established the city as a premier destination for live music in California.

The 2026 dates for Aftershock will be announced in the coming months along with early bird tickets, allowing fans to lock-in lower level pricing and maximum payment plan options. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned to the festival’s official social media channels and AftershockFestival.com.

In addition to music performances, this year’s edition of Aftershock featured various partner onsite activations, award-winning beverages and delectable eats from partners including Animal Place, Astral Tequila, Beatbox Beverages, Black Shades, Blackcraft, Body Art Express, California Army National Guard, Coors Light, Don Julio, Eargasm, Freak On a Leash, Fxck Cancer, Golden State Cider, Hyatt Vacation Club, Jack Daniel's, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, Little Rocker Clothing, Mortus Viventi, Nowhere Fast, Parlor Root Beer, Red Bull, Sierra Nevada, Strüng, Take Me Home, The Pretty Cult, Tito's Handmade Vodka, To Write Love on Her Arms, Topo Chico Hard Seltzer, and Waterloo Sparkling Water.

Aftershock is proud to partner with Visit Sacramento and is produced by Los Angeles-based Danny Wimmer Presents, one of the largest independent producers of destination music festivals in America.

f C Y Radio, and I'm here.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
With Elias Soriano of non Point. And what an adventure
it is?

Speaker 1 (00:29):
What the pipe Man as It is always.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
A good adventure, especially because what are we gonna call aftershock?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Now?

Speaker 5 (00:36):
Yes, what are you shocked about?

Speaker 1 (00:37):
What am I shocked about?

Speaker 3 (00:39):
What are we gonna call after shock? We're gonna call
it latter shock or like O Fort Liquordale Shock.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Fort Lauderdale Shock. Yeah, yeah, man, we're wrapping out here.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
We brought the sun with us to a hometown reunion
the Sweaty Day.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
I just found out that the some of the boys
or the boys are from Trivium, are from South Florida.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
I don't know why I didn't know that.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
I don't even know how you then never play with
them that because they hit all the clubs down there too.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
I'm sure we crossed paths. Oh, I'm sure sure together.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
I don't remember because I don't remember anything, but I'm
sure we did.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Probably because it was in the high lifetime of Fort Laurerdale,
where if you remember it, you weren't there shocked.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
I don't know. I'm still after shocked that. I don't know.
I didn't know that because I love those guys.

Speaker 5 (01:20):
How many times have you played after Shock?

Speaker 1 (01:22):
I think this is three. I think this is number
three for us? How much Ken, I don't recall.

Speaker 5 (01:28):
How much do you love this festival?

Speaker 4 (01:30):
I love just the DWB festivals just across the board.
The crews are always amazing, always familiar faces. It's like
the family affair behind the scenes. And then the lineups
are always amazing. So you would be part of such
a revered lineup to be amongst friends and family.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
It's a critic.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
And the way Danny Wimmer treats you as an artist,
how would you tell us about that?

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Yeah, like I said, the whole Danny Wimmer camp always
takes great care of us, and really I can't say
how much I appreciate.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
It makes it so much easier as an ours, right
when it's so organized like that and you're not stressed out.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Absolutely, and then there's always a dress room. Catering is
always good, security is always tight, stages are always proper,
PA's are always slamming, crowds are always great.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
It's like it checks every.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Box right, Free pizza over here, free drip.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Bar ye, free mocktails if you don't want to drink
because they're good.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
There you go, There you go. And so you played.
You just got off stage a little while ago. Does
it always blow your mind? Speaking of crowds, how large
the crowds or at Danny Wimmer Festival that early Ice.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Yeah, it's pretty awesome.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Our fans definitely saw of none point shirts out there early,
so our fans definitely come out and rep for us, and.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
It's all day.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
It's great music, so you definitely want to be here
from the first note.

Speaker 5 (02:54):
What's your favorite part of being an artist?

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Favorite part of being an artist writing music? Writing music's
hands down this is my favorite thing to do. I
love to write music. Music is where it's at.

Speaker 5 (03:06):
Is it like therapy?

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yeah, it's like video gaming for me.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
That's a cool way.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
I'll spend hours upon hours, fifteen hours and look up
and holy shit, I've been at my computer for fifteen
hours laying down stuff and movies stuff around and playing
with different reverbs and compressors and plugins and all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
And it's a fun game.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
When did you first get the serious bug for songwriting.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Serious bug came during to the paint. I'd say that
was where it got it became. I say it was
it became fun there because we really had nothing to lose.
So it's when we just fucking did what we wanted
and that's what it's always best.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Yeah, that's where we're at right now.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
I have this viewpoint that the business people in the
business should stick to what dire experts at and let
the artists do what their experts at, and that's the
creating part.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
I think that's where we are right now with our team.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
I think we have a strong team and a Muse
who understands that we understand our audience. They can see
the numbers. The numbers drive themselves and they want to
continue to invest in non points.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
So we're at the point where.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
When it comes to a label, we can be our
own label because we have such a strong partner in
Amuse distributing our lives.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
I love hearing that because it's got to be a
lot more fun when you could just do it.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
Amuse, by the way, amazing, amazing company, amazing company. If
you want to distribute your music, it's definitely.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
Want to look at how'd that come about for you.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
They reached out to us actually surprisingly Oh look, they're
a numbers based company, so when it comes to distribution,
they looked at our numbers. They felt like with their team,
based on their model, that they could triple our numbers,
and that's exactly what they did.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
Wow. Yeah, yeah, that's pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
So now that you have this great partnership, what cool
shit can we expect in your music?

Speaker 1 (04:56):
New music?

Speaker 4 (04:56):
Your new music music is coming. I think people have
waited long enough with the EPs. We have a full
length in the works right now. That's nice that we
just locked down to the producer. And I will say
who he is, but he's an awesome producer, great, great talent.
Young dude went on tour with him a long time ago,
back in the day, and he's just one of those
amazing producers now and I'm very excited.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
To work with him.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
So what would you say, how do you feel writing
now with all that independence and freedom and a great
partner behind you? Like, is it even more fun than ever?

Speaker 5 (05:31):
Now?

Speaker 4 (05:31):
It's yeah, it's more work, definitely, it's certainly more work.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
But with that work comes reward. So we're waiting for
that reward to.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Hit nice and have you ever seen my Battle vest?

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yeah I did, you did?

Speaker 5 (05:45):
I couldn't remember if you saw it.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
I remember.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
So I was going to see if there was any
bands you wanted.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
To tour with, but we already did that probably yes.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Yes, yes, yes, yeah. Well there's always bands that i'd
love to tour with. Tones on the top of that list.
I love the Mud band boys. Always go to.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Tour with them, just went I would see, they're not
too long ago, the sweetest guys in the world.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Do's some bands you haven't toured with that you're like, hmm,
it's surprising that we didn't tour with them, and that
you would want.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
It that I would like to tour with.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
I haven't done a tour with you know, I don't
know how their fans would take to it, but Gojira
is a great band.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
I haven't done a tour with Corn. I feel like they're.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
See you guys would go well together.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
I feel like their fans would dig us, and so
I'd take Corn's top of the list.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
I think that would be a great tour because I
get a similar vibe. So you're right, the fans would
take to it because just your live show and their
live show.

Speaker 5 (06:42):
It's the same energy.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yeah, shout out to Brian, Love you, bro.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
So what else do you want to tell the listeners
about that we haven't covered well.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Sleepless Empires coming in a couple of days, will be
out with the Kunacoile hidden pretty much the entirety of Europe.
We're going overseas in February to Australia with Heppe.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
Oh, that's fun.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
I believe it's.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
Six dates so New Zealand, a couple dates in New Zealand,
a couple dates in Australia, and then we have four
dates at the end of the year leading up to
a New Year's Eve show in Green Bay. That's gonna
be absolutely insane. We're gonna be playing one of our
longest sets ever. It's gonna be quite a party.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Oh that's awesome. How about back to Lauderdale? How about
back to Lauderdale? When when does that happen?

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Lauderdale's next year? Next year, we'll be back.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
Nice.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Yeah, we played this year, sold it out, it was
pretty good, so we're definitely coming back.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
So where is your favorite place to play on Earth.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
As of late?

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Usually I would put Madison up there, but Green Bay
is really starting to take the belt. There, the Green
Bay crowd really comes out and they really come to support.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
So it's funny you should say that because, like I
remember once I was gonna do coverage for Northern Invasion
and I'm like, what am I guy doing Wisconsin? And
then I realized once I got there and how the
fans are, and it was just it's really go there
anytime now.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
So absolutely rock State.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Well you guys rocked it here at Aftershock. Thanks you're badasses.
O ways, I look forward to new music. Everybody's got
to look out for that. And thanks for being on
the Adventures pipe Man.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Thanks mab, Thank
