The back-to-back festivals also drove some of the highest hotel demand of the year, with overall occupancy reaching more than 80% citywide. These preliminary estimates highlight the tremendous tourism and economic value of the festivals, which bring hundreds of thousands of visitors to Louisville and fuel spending across hotels, restaurants, bourbon attractions, and local businesses.

I'm like, they look like they're in moshpit, but just
not touching each.

flags from each other.

So much so that Slayer didn't even have a patch yet.
So I just did that. It's almost like, but oh
it's mine from the eighties.

I was at slayers first show ever. Metallica's first show ever.
That was probably after the first Slayers show.

So do you have another one or is this just

I don't use it anymore. I use it now for interviews.

Actually, I had in my closet for like many many years,
and then I pulled it out for my grandson. Yeah,
and I'm like, good idea to bring this thing to interviews. Yeah,
talking point because listen, you can tell I've been in
a few pits.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
It's been way a battle vest for sure.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Right, this one used to be amazing, and I have
blood on here, what speak of doing stupid ship like
going on a ride or something.

Speaker 1 (04:29):

Billie Belando, but it's scott Ian, it is Danny Loker,
it's Scott's son played drums who played.

I know, right, So what brought you to Louder than Life?
Not your tour bus or your band or anything, but
how do we get here? How do you end up
at lowerd than Life?

Speaker 6 (05:33):
I will look give that's a mikey for that one.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Okay, So all right, so we were there.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
I was just sitting there on my couch actually, and
then oh, I was doing agent work and then I
saw this. I saw this, Oh, like stages, this new
the new stage was getting added. I was like, there's
more bands coming out, and I was like, I'm gonna
fucking get a hold of John right. And then not
even twenty minutes later, dude, not only Twenty minutes later,

(06:03):
dude calls me and he's like, Yo.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
What's up.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
And I was like, hey, man, I was just gonna
call you and he's like, oh, I got you.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
You guys want to play louder.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
I'm like right, He's like yeah, and he's like, dude,
I'm excited to call you.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Guys I've seen him.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
And he was like, dude, because I was I do
agent stuff and I was talking talking about getting some
of my bands on or whatever, and I was like,
not even conflict with the interest, man, I'd love to
give these guys some opportunities, you know.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
What I mean.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
I'm not even worried about fight. And he's like, but
I like fight.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
I also want to talk about this song that I
fucking absolutely love Full Send. Okay, oh my god, that's
such a badass song.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Now, how did that clab happen?

Speaker 2 (06:46):
So we wrote that with It was me, David and
Patty and Pablo Vivos. There is a song by a
band called Distinguisher that just started off with this sick
two step that we were all listening too, and we
were like, we got to write a song that just
goes right into a two step and doesn't stop, right,
So that's what we did. We came up with it

and then me and him and him just went upstairs
for like two or three hours just wrote ridiculous lyrics.

By the way, also dead defall the song Major Rager.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Oh and Decayne Decayne with the Boys by Eaton.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
I was actually writing a party song with my other
band at the time, without Gravity, and I was like,
oh man, let's do.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
Like a song which is like chug chug chug.

Speaker 5 (07:30):
And the whole song was just born, like Mikey said,
in like two hours, and it just went really quickly.
It was amazing, very organic process.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
I love it. Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
It was the first song that we did. We made
it super fast. We re released it d I Y
and got hit an editorial.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
It was wild. It was our first editorial we ever had.

Speaker 7 (07:50):
Are you Are you asking about the new version that
we did the collab with Saving Advice where we switched
it when we did the vocal cover of each song. Yeah, okay,
that's because you said how the colab had right, yes,
oh yeah, so.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
You could go all that other information.

Speaker 6 (08:03):
It's good good too, right right right? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Yeah, So the collab Saving Vice or our Homies and
we did their song Trauma Suba and they did Full Send.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
And it's just like honestly artists in general.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Man, if you think about it, if you're an artist
and you have thirty thousand listeners and your friends had
forty thousand listeners, well, if you collab on a song
and drop it at the same time on both your platforms,
well it's basically cheating, man.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
You're not only is it going to all your guys,
it's going to all their guys. So all the streams
you're getting are coming to both of you, not just
one side.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Right.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
In our case, we did two songs where they both
came to both of us and within the first five
days we were at like fifteen thousand streams before.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
Between both songs. I love it, and then one of
them actually hit an editorial.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Too, Oh I love it. I gotta tell you something.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
First did it was the one we did.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
I got about your vape here?

Speaker 4 (09:02):
It was the one we did. Robbie, are you.

Giving me flashbacks of Bourbon Beyond right here? And the
Fish show on the vape as the most psychedelic vape
I've ever seen? You should like put that in your
light show of your live show here at Louder than Life.

Speaker 8 (09:17):
To be honest with you, I'm actually about done smoking vapes.
I'm I think five.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Years cigarette free good for you.

Speaker 8 (09:24):
And I went a year without smoking anything and then no,
and then I was going through something and I was like,
I'm gonna go smoke. I almost bought a peg of
cigarettes and I'm like, Noah, so I grabbed the vape
and then smoking them. But I'm almost done with these
anyways too, because.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
It's pretty gross.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
I think the words I was a Marlboro Red smoker
for thirty six years and nose make me choke.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
I'm not. I'm not even gonna lie the vabe thing.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Man, I smoked cigarettes from fourteen years old to twenty five,
and from Newports to Cowboy Killers, and as soon as
I switched to that I could breathe better, I run farther.

Speaker 7 (10:02):
So the thing about it is that I think logistically,
right off the bat, they're better for you. But the
problem with vapes is that they're super easy to become
extremely violently addicted to, so much so that like my girlfriend,
she wakes up in the middle of the night, she's
not even half She's like half asleep, she hits her
vape and she falls asleep again, just lets it fall exhales.

(10:22):
That's how insanely addicted you can get to vapes because
you do it anywhere you want, anytime you want. It's
just like logistically is yeah, yeah, yes, exactly, the flavors
and stuff.

That's true too.

You don't even really know how good they are for you.
You're technically you're still Yeah.

I'm still doing this and I croak.

to both. I smoke cigarettes and I vape.
