Andrew Alderson: Sports Reporter on the losses for Auckland FC and Warriors, Liam Lawson's results in Monaco

It wasn’t a good weekend for Warriors or Auckland FC fans, with both teams losing to Australian rivals.

Auckland FC lost To Melbourne Victory, destroying their A-League debut double dream.

Meanwhile the Warriors winning streak came to an end when they lost 16-10 to the Raiders.

Newstalk ZB’s Andrew Alderson talks to Ryan Bridge about the weekend that was in sport.

bits pieces like that, But great to watch down there

You know at home too, that yeah, yeah, I mean
they had this five run winning streak, but it's come

one to the Raiders in the first half, and they
still the Warriors still try as a result of that,

So your disappointment for the Warriors, I suppose it's a
it's an all good round because numbers are depleted because
of the state of origin. Of course, the Warriors missing
a couple of key players as well as a result.
And yeah, they're still I think it's third. Now they're
equal with the Raiders on eighteen points, but they're third

on points differential, So the Warrior is still very much
part of the wreckoning bulldogs losing, but they're on twenty,
still the top.

It's what I'd like to hear. Now they say the
ref about hot water, what did you think of it?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
I think is the rule of it goes out of play.
I mean, I think the linesman is in a decent
position there and therefore they have to copy it. But
you can and given the circumstances and what's on the line.
How tension would be high in that instance and that
done so well, what be give mma crossing and Rogerson
putting it in, but you know, and that would have leveled.

That would have made things pretty exciting in terms of
I suppose the way goals, home goals, et cetera. And
they would hit it towards extra time, penalty shoot out.
Potentially all that sort of stuff would have been high
drama at Mount Smart. But not to be and the
victory have gone ahead and played in the circumstances I thought,
just from what I saw of it, maybe the Aukle

left Sea were a bit flat and maybe the occasion
got to them. But you know, nonetheless, outstanding season, first
season to actually take the well, to win the regulation
table anyway, but just not able to take.
