Brent Eccles: concert promoter on Kate Nash selling pictures on OnlyFans to help fund tours

Award-winning UK singer Kate Nash has revealed she plans on selling pictures on OnlyFans to help fund her tours.

Nash explained that live music has become increasingly financially unsustainable - and she hopes monetising pictures of her behind will help bridge the gap.

Concert promoter Brent Eccles says artists have to keep 'feeding the machine' in order to sustain a career and make money.

"You have to be very careful when you're doing that - and watch the dollars. You have to tour to a level you can afford."

we're telling you earlier. There's a UK singer called Kate
Nash and she's announced that she's going on the explicit
website Only Fans to sell pictures of her bum to
make ends meet, because apparently she makes a loss when
she goes touring. Now, she's not the only musician to
do this, right, Lily Allen is already selling pictures of
her feet on Only Fans. Brent Eckles is a concert

Now, Hey, Brent, how are you doing?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
I'm very well, thank you. This is crazy, isn't it.
Do you know any musicians who are going on only Fans?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
No? I don't, but I do know a fair bit
about the economics of touring. Yeah, yeah, you know. It's
you have to have to have a closer look about
what she's doing and what her costs are or the
ticket prices are, and work out while she has a problem.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
I love how you did. They're like, it's not my
wheelhouse the porn website, but I can talk about the touring, okay.
So basically what she suggested is that musicians don't make
money off selling their gear anymore. They hardly make any
money off of Spotify, and now they're not making money
off touring. But is this a Kate Nash problem or
is this a touring problem?

Speaker 2 (01:03):
It's a Kate Nash problem. I had to look at
the venues she's playing, and she's playing a venues around
a fifteen hundred capacity, so it will be tough. You
have to be very careful when you're doing that and
watch the dollars, and you have to tour to a
level that you can afford. And if you play those
kinds of venues, you can actually make money, not a

lot of money, but I would say that, you know,
have a looked at your career. Do you want to
keep doing this? Because she broke about two thousand and seven,
so it's quite a long time ago, so you know,
you got to keep it. You got to keep feeding
the machine. And there are lots of cases of artists
who do are very careful about their money, do very
well and can show a good style of living based

on that career.

Interesting that Lily Allen's so Lily Allen's quite a big name,
but then again she's I don't think she's touring anymore.
So Spotify, you can't. You can't just rest on your
laurels and wait for the Spotify dollars to me, can
you No?

Speaker 2 (02:02):
And you know Spotify is you've got to get a lot,
a lot of streams. It's based on quantity and an
awful lot of them so that pay very little per stream.
So that's kind of difficult. But if they're successful at
what you do, and you work at your career a lot,
I think every chance will make really good money. And
I've seen lots of New Zealand musicians do very well. Also, Yeah,
