Speaker 1 (00:00):
Darcy Waldgrave sports talker host, is with me right now.
Four eighteen Hello Darce, Hey, So Ryan Fox playing tonight?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Yeah, five past eleven. He tees off and a major.
He never thought he was going to plan, and extraordinarily
out of nowhere he won. And then he's like, oh, no,
I was going to take the weekend off. The family
are over here, We're to go to the fun fair.
I've got to oh, how it's going to go work?
They're going to go drive across a couple of states

(00:29):
to how's the field? As chances the slim I was
looking up online desperately trying. I was trying to use AI,
which is pointless for some of it. Fifty five I
took get nose on olderly, so it's not interested. How
many players have backed up after winning a PGA event
and then won a major the very next weekend? And

(00:50):
he kept on telling me how many players had won
back to back majors. I didn't what that. So once
I'd finished waving my first and barking at cars and
shouting at clouds, I thought must be another way to
find this.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Did you call someone?

Speaker 2 (01:03):
I tried to talk to a few golfers, but I
don't know what the chances, but you think the mental
exhaustion after winning it and winning it a playoff would
be so overpowering that to actually pick yourself up and
do it again. I wouldn't be surprised if Tiger Woods
has done it that. He's not on this earth. He's
encounter so can he? I don't know, but he'd be feeling.

(01:26):
Is there such a thing as momentum and golf?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Oh? Yeah, you get on a run, yeah, or you
get what Trump he likes to call the yips, which
is when you get.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
It's not a trumpy word. You know, that's a regular word,
the yips. Don't credit that to him as well.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Do you know why why I dropped him in that
is because the other day he said the market's got yippy,
and like all of these news stories, we're going, we
don't know what that means? What does yippy mean? And
I was like, have you never played around of golf yet?

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Anyway, the yips we will see. But look, he does
surprising things you don't.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
You can get a run of the opposite.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
You can. And the momentum. I've always had the argument
people say, oh they've got great momentum and you know
what the thing about momentum is it can be stopped. Yeah,
it's the way it works. It's called the yips.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
What's the phone for swearing?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Now?

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Have they dropped it?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Gone down to like what five thousand years opposed to
like forty thousand years? Really they've had a they have.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
A standdown as well. Did they have a suspension as well?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Well, I'm not sure about the suspension, but this time
it's gone from forty thousand euros to five thousand euros.
The first offense is suspended. It's only in controlled events,
so like news conferences, not during races, not during races.
So if someone cuts you off and you turn around
your effing and blinding and wave your first out and
they're like, you can do all that, but at a

(02:47):
press conference, what a climb down? If you give it,
the New Zealand politician at a press conference will get
in all sorts of trouble.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Hey, Master's text in and said, if you google it
you will find Cory Pippin did it in two thousand
and four.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Well, you see Mars and he's like me, he's advanced
in years, right, and so Mars I tried to be
cool like the cool kids and news AI failure. Maybe
I should have just to google the things, you know?
How about that? I need to age, I need to advance.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
If you don't pick up, if it's not a Mars
is going to come in and fill in your slaugh Okay.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Good luck, Pale, good luck dealing with as you said.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Okay, thanks very much, Darcy, appreciate it, Darcy Walder Wave.
We'll be back at seven this evening for sports Talk.

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
