Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, you've heard me say this before, I'm gonna say
to you again. And when it comes to choosing an EV,
then a BYD is the way to go. And there
has never been a better time to buy yourself a
BYD because right now the current model, which is the
BYD at oh three, which by the way, is New
Zealand's most awarded EV, is just fifty one, nine hundred
and ninety dollars, So if you buy it, you're gonna
save yourself up to five grand. You gotta be quick, though,
(00:22):
because this deal is literally gonna run out any day now. Question,
of course, is what are you waiting for? Because the
BYD at oh three has all the things that you
would expect from a brand new BYD. It's got a
whopping range of up to four hundred and twenty ks,
it's got the ultra safe BYD blade battery, and let
me tell you, because I have driven it, it is
a pleasure to drive. The crazy runout price is only
while the stocks last, though, so get in quick, don't
(00:44):
miss out. That's the BYD at oh three, New Zealand's
most awarded EV, for just fifty one thousand, nine hundred
and ninety dollars and don't take my word for it.
Go test drive it. I've driven it. Test drive it
yourself at any BYD dealer today and see for yourself
how good these cars really are? Ever du for see
Allen right? Eighteen past five. Now New Zealand is going
(01:04):
to try to claim back the Guinness World Record of
the largest hucker. For some weird reason, the record is
held by France. Has been held by France for ten years,
but now there's a plan to get ten thousand people
to perform a hacker at Eden Park in September to
claim the title back. Dame Hena where he mo he
is the cultural ambassador for the project. Hi hennawhere here?
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Oh they heard that?
Speaker 1 (01:22):
How did France get the record?
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Well, it's almost ten years since they got that record,
so sigur it's time to take it back.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
How did they do it? Did they just look at
it and think there's that's the thing we can do
and they did it?
Speaker 2 (01:39):
I guess.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
So okay, so they've got a record that's like four
thousand odd people. Right, you guys want to get ten
thousand people into into Eden Park to do it? Do
you reckon? You can get that.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
Many oh, yes, and nine hundred and ninety nine and
you will be there on the twenty ninth of September
at Eden Park.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Yeah, but are you sure I'm going to come? Because
you want me to pay for the privilege, don't you. Yes.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
It's a fun daser for the Locatty Music Therapy Center,
and it's going to be such an exciting, exhilarating things
to be a part of when they all come together
and celebrate our unique cultural heritage. It's going to be amazing.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
And then, so how's it going to work?
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Is it?
Speaker 1 (02:20):
I mean, you're doing karmati. Everybody knows carmati, So is
it just a case of everybody turns up and does it,
or you're going to do a practice beforehand.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
We'll be doing practices beforehand and also provide instructional videos
that people can learn the right actions in the right
roads and can feel a little more prepared and excited
about how they're going to perform on the day. And
then in the lead up with lots of grade entertainment
(02:48):
and excitement for the whole Pharmo, We'll have some practice
out on the number two pitch and then bring everyone
onto the number one pitch and bring this spectacle together
in a moment in history that I think we will
never forget.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Hey, how does it work if you want to if
you want to set a Guinness World Record? Do you
just give them a phone call and say this is
what we're going to do. You need to come by
and make sure it works or it is like a
bit more paperwork to it.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
There's quite a lot of paperwork, which I think is
why it's made it so difficult for the record to
be attempted again. And it's involving quite a bit of
cost and a lot of time and very stringent rules
because as you can imagine, Guinness World Record has a
(03:35):
reputation to upkeep and it's it's going to be quite
something with an Australian coming over the night before to
adjudicate and ensure that we have the world record successfully
carried out. We've got to have for every fifty people
on the field performing the hacker, we have to have
(03:58):
a steward to monitor numbers and the quality of the
HKA And it's a lot involved, but it'll be amazing.
Everyone's just going to come to the fore and really
celebrate your bird unity.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yeah, well, best of luck. I hope you guys managed
to claim the record back. That's Dame Hinnawihi Mohi, who
is the cultural ambassador for the project. For more from
Hither Duplessy Allen Drive, listen live to news Talks. It'd
be from four pm weekdays, or follow the podcast on iHeartRadio.
