All Blacks coach Scott Robertson's hinting some more experienced squad members yet to get a run against France could get their opportunity in Saturday's third test in Hamilton.

An unassailable 2-nil series lead affords the hosts the chance to mix up their selections for the final match.

Robertson says they'll be balancing opportunity with continuity in picking their 23.

Sportstalk host Jason Pine explains further.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Right now, though, Jason Pine, sports talk host seven o'clock
Tonight News took zirb's with us. Now, Hey Jason, Hello, Ran,
good to have you on. So will do you think
Razer followed through one has promised to give the entire
squad game time against the French.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
I think he can now because they've won the series
two nil. Third Test in Hamilton on Saturday night doesn't
matter as far as the series is concerned. Of course,
they're still going to want to win. But yes, I
think he can. I look at that there's six players
who haven't featured in the first two tests who are
available for Saturday night and Hamilton, Brody McAllister. Now A
hope them, Tyroll Lomax, Luke Jacobson, Antonin, Leonnart Brown and

(00:35):
Ruben Love. And yes, I think the answer is yes,
he'll get them all into the twenty three. How many
of them start? Not too short. Ruben Love I think
will probably be one who starts, maybe Tyroll Lomax as well.
But yeah, it's a great problem for Scott Robertson to
have to try and mix and match and give a
bunch of guys game time before the really big tests
of the year arrive when they get into the Rugby Championship,

(00:57):
particularly when South Africa arrive here in September.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Pony, how do you like the Warriors Tanner Boyd going
for the title in the absence of metcalf.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
First evidence yesterday was promising. I think, Ryan, you know,
it's only the West Tigers. Let's not get too carried away.
They're not one of the big guns of the NRAL.
But I think he came in and on his Warrior's debut,
did a really serviceable job. I don't think he tried
to be Luke Metcalfe. I just think he did what
he was good at. Not many of us had seen
him before, of course, and I thought he guided the
team around pretty well, kicked his goals and gave a

(01:28):
service of all performance. Once we get to the back
end of the season, into playoffs and that sort of thing,
you know, maybe we'll have a different answer. But he's
got a few games to get under his belt before
we get to that. So yeah, I think it's a
fairly optimistic pass mark for Tanner Boyd in the Warriors
seven Jersey. I'm quite keen to see some more from him.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Brilliant looking forward to that too, Pony, Thank you. That's
Jason Pines, sports talk host seven o'clock Tonight News Talk SEB.
