Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jason Pine Weekend Sport hosters with me right now, Hey Piney,
Hello Heather, Now, hold on, I thought that the A
League Grand Final was going to be at Mount Smart.
Are you telling me that's not true?

Speaker 2 (00:09):
No, it is going to be at Mount Smart. There
was there was talk that it might be moved to
Eden Park because of a bigger capacity. Auckland f C
don't get to make the decision. It gets made by
the powers that be at the A League. Who would
I'm sure looked at a forty five thousand capacity stadium.
I thought we can get a lot more ticket revenue
there than we would add a twenty seven twenty eight
thousand capacity Mount Smart. So somebody at Auckland FC has

(00:32):
the powers of negotiation to have convinced them that, no,
we should have it at Mount Smart. So if Auckland
FC make the A League Grand Final, it'll be at
Mount Smart.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
I mean that's the right thing to do, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Pine Absolutely, absolutely, everybody's got.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Used to going there and it's the place that they've
played it, then he may as well just continue there.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yeah, man. And home advantage. Yeah, home advantage is called
home advantage for a reason. If they would have played
at Eden Park. It'd be unfamiliar to the Auckland FC players.
You know so, and it's the best player to watch it,
you know what, even parks like watching a game on
a rectangular field your miles away Mounts Mark. Great decision, Well.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Done, guess so the Crusaders are going to play the
Chiefs tomorrow and out in it. Do you think that
this is basically what the Grand Final is going to
look like?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Yeah? Could well be. They're the two teams at the
top by quite some distance, with the best records, they've
played the best all year. I think it could well
be a precursor to what we see in the Grand
Final in a month and a half or so. Crusaders
I see a favorites because probably because they're playing at home.
The Chiefs beat the Crusaders forty nine twenty four in
round two and the Crusader's about to make a change
at first five rivers. Rayhanna has come in. The Chiefs

(01:36):
have got Damien McKenzie back. I kind of like the
Chiefs in this, if I'm honest, Heather, I quite like
them to win this and I think they will probably
if they do win tomorrow, finish top of the table
and get hosting rights through They've lost the last two
Grand finals. Maybe twenty twenty five is the year of
the Chiefs. I like this prediction.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
I'm going to remember this Piney, because you know I
know your prediction. I know you will Jason Pynes, we
can sport host.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
We'll be back tomorrow for more from Hither Duplessy Allen Drive.
