Sir Bob Charles: Christchurch Golf Club Patron on LIV golf coming to the Garden City

Not everyone loves the idea of LIV golf holding an event in Christchurch.

Rumour has it that the saudi-backed breakaway competition is looking at holding a tournament in the garden city, possibly as soon as next year.

LIV officials have visited christchurch golf club to have a look.

Sir Bob Charles is a patron of that club and told Heather du Plessis-Allan they're creating turmoil in the golf industry.

from its traditions, which I'm a traditionalist, and I just

don't don't condone what they're what they're trying to do
which is tearing, tearing the game of golf apart.

So apparently the Adelaide thing is awesome, and it sounds
like it's going to be great, and that wouldn't tempt you,
tempt me to what to go and have a look
if it's a great tournament, some wonderful golf.

I haven't been informed of that. I wouldn't walk across
the street to see them play. In fact, if it's
