Speaker 1 (00:07):
You're listening to the Marcus lush Night's podcast from News Talks.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
That'd be.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
To the people of New Zealand. I say, welcome hetti,
twelve o'clock. My name is Marcus. Good evening, it's eight eight.
I hope you're good. If you're not good by the
time I get out of here at twelve and Tim's along,
I hope you are even better. Hey. A couple of
things to begin with, quite a lot of traffic. It's
been a nice day down south, but in the north
there has been a fabit of rain. The legend from
(00:36):
nd TIA has got in touch with These were the
latest updates for the roading, and it's not good for truckies.
A number of State highway closures around Taranaki and Wakato
will remain closed overnight following multiple slips, so they're going
to wait for water to recede, but the roads will
be closed until the morning. So this is a situation.
(00:58):
So and the trouble with the naked Taranaki if they're closed,
is really no way out, so you're stuffed. State Highway
three north of New Plymouth remains closed at Lwakino between
Morco and Peopiol there are multiple smaller slips. Further south
towards New Plymouth. State Highway three at Tonga Poruto is
(01:22):
down to one lane and understop go with a thirty
k temporary speed limit in place in place. State Highway
four remains closed with eight mile junction. The intersection between
State Hiway, State State Hiway three and four and tomad
Anui State Highway forty three that's the forgotten Highway, remains
closed from Fonge Mormoner to Tomadnui. Access remains open from
(01:44):
Stratford to Fonge Mormona. State Hiway third has closed from
Tiquity and Benny Dale, and Statehoway thirty one is closed
between Nutuanui and Opio. Please keep up to date with
n ZTA Planner journey or Journey planner. That's a situation.
So yep, there's carnage in the roads and the North,
(02:04):
well in the North Island, in the south, the North,
or in the midst of the North Island. What I
might do is just look at that on the actual
map to just tell me about that State Highway three,
State Aways four things they didn't I'm not quite as
sure where that is. I don't know the State Highway four.
But some of your truckies i'd throw in the towel tonight.
You're not going to go anywhere, are you? As you
(02:26):
do a damn great loop that'll take you a day.
But man, oh man, ah, yep, ah, yep, become clear,
now clear, it's all become clear. I should have said, oh, yep.
The trouble is the roads. Cover up. Oh there's State
Highway four. Oh that's I just don't love the graphics
(02:49):
on this thing. Stay Highway four goes, that's the one
you go towards Tom Denuis. Yea, I sort of said that,
didn't I kind of confusing. It's confusing for me. But yes,
so if you want to get from your Plymouth to Auckland,
you really struggle, you need to go probably south as
far as Marton with up the guts. But yeah, she's
(03:13):
a difficult.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
So a small arrow country with high rainfall. We don't
do good when it rained. So welcome to taste of
things to come by the way too. If you've got
any updates from this, let me know if there's carnage
or trackage, carnage or truckage, let me know about that.
The other thing I was driving to work tonight, gorgeous night,
(03:34):
and there are a couple of birds on the road,
and I thought, well, they get off in time. They're birds,
they will fly away in time. However, they were birds,
but not the flying kind. They were ducklings. And it's
not often you see two ducklings. Normally see eight or nine.
So it was two ducklings, and gosh, I came close
to them, and then I thought, well, I better go
(03:55):
back to check. Well, it's always hard to do a
U tube on a major road to go back and
check on ducklings to rescue them. So I've got two
bits of advice to you today. The first bit of
advice is it's duckling seas, and drive really carefully, and
what might look like birds might actually be ducklings. And
by the way, if you do think you might have
hit ducklings, be very careful turning around to go and
(04:16):
say if they're okay, because you might get side swiped.
Make sure it's clear and better go on a side
road and then turn around. Mind you, I was safe
and the birds were fine. I couldn't see any bird
evidence once I went back to see them, So yeah,
be careful of the birds. We've got paradise ducks that
live outside our house. They're always there. They'll be there
for years, probably twenty years, probably ten years. And they
(04:38):
always have a big I want to say little, but
it's less than a litter. They always have a big
what's a group of ducklings called? There's a group what's
the collective?
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Now?
Speaker 3 (04:48):
And for ducklings, they always have a big group of ducklings.
This year none, so I don't know what's going on there,
So I'm worried about that. But yeah, but maybe just
the nest was compromised. I don't know what the group
of ducklings is called. I know we're good on selective nouns.
I don't love them. I don't love selective nouns. But
(05:10):
there we go a flock or a waddling of ducks,
although on flight it's a skien or a flight on water,
a raft of paddling and a building. There we go. So,
by the way, that's my advice for you, be careful
of birds on the road. They could will be duckling
to duckling season. These ones look two or three days old.
They're tiny. Maybe their mother have been taken by a
(05:31):
kneel or something. Because there's no sign of her. So
that's that's a re sombra start to the day. But
the thing is they're fine, they live again, and yeah,
that's good news. Hey you might. By the way, we
don't do well with advice. No, we don't do We
haven't edited advice. Has anyone got any advice for people
to risk? I know I'm putting that out there. If
(05:52):
you've got some advice, let me know what your advice is,
as long as it's kind of not combetitive and done
with a generous spirit. If you've got advice for people
out there, what is that advice you've got? You might
have discovered something today, you might have thought, well, there's
some advice to give people. Well, the audience is yours
and you've got some advice. What I'd like to say
to the people of New Zealand is dot dot dot
dot dot. Have a think about that and get that
(06:16):
through with that. If you've got advice for people, My
advice is about ducklings today. Who knows what it is tomorrow,
But get in touch. If you've got advice, text out
or email it. If you've got traffic updates as well,
text us or email that or call US. Oh. By
(06:36):
the way, Marc has come through State Highway One from Ward,
which is just south of Blenham to Fara Nui is
still closed from an earlier crash. So the north's gone
and the south's gone. So there we go from Ward
to Fara Nui. Marcus. We should also be aware of
(06:58):
ducklings on the road. Slamming on your brakes to avoid
them is not a great idea. A dead duckling is
better than a dead human. That's a very good point too.
So maybe I'm looking for a compromise, just a really
slight swerve because I think probably think they're going to
fly away because they're birds, but their ducklings. So there
we go. But if you ever got advice for the
(07:18):
people that's be hearing from you. By the way, did
they sort of that ram on TV last night? There
was it was crazy that ramming ram. Now do come
thro if you want to talk. Now. Donald Trump's on
Truth Social today and this is this is just recently
threw right down about an hour ago. He's been on
(07:39):
Truth Social. What he's said. Time magazine wrote a relatively
good story about me, but the picture maybe the Capital's
worst of all time. They disappeared my hair, and then
a had something floating on top of my head that
looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one.
Really weird. I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles,
(08:02):
but this is a super bad picture and deserves to
be called out. What are they doing? And why?
Speaker 5 (08:08):
So?
Speaker 3 (08:09):
TRUMPO is not happy with his picture? And now what
everyone wants to do? Now and go and look at
Trump's picture of Times picture of Trump don't even a
Time magazine was still a thing. But Trump's not happy
with a picture worst of all time. Looks like he's
wearing a crown. I'm looking at it now. It's terrible.
(08:29):
What's with your crown? Don It's an upshot. It is weird.
They're trying to make him look regal, but he looks
like Biden. If you've got advice for the people, let's
be hearing from your eight hundred and eighty ten eighty
nine nine two de text. Let's go anything else, boo,
we're away. There's plenty of other topics of talk, but
I just thought we'd get started on a slightly different
(08:50):
kind of a more generous kind of a spirit tonight.
That's what we're right about. Oh, by the way, this
aerial foot I didn't realize it was so fluttered. But
the aerial footage now of the downpaus are we Kino.
It's just yeah, she's all under hope. The fnels all right.
The butcher for Morco says it's the worst flooding in
(09:11):
our Keno he's seen in six years he's lived there.
I imagine a lot of that town will have washed away.
In the white white bating huts won't be good. Um Martiri,
which is also in the Ruapio district that's been cut
off also, So yes, a lot of rain. Get in touch.
(09:32):
You want to be a part of the show. My
name is Marcus. If you've got the advice for anyone tonight,
that's a good thing to start with these other topics.
I just want to get going on this now to
begin with, and the updates on if you are the
North Island in that deluge, let me know how that's
working out for you. Hettl the end people eight hundred
and eighty ten eighty and nine to nine two de
text looking forward to what you've got to say, obviously,
(09:53):
Hettel twelve. Yeah, by the way, use it. The South
Island's biggest supermarket. It's a Peck and Save open today
in Rolliston. If you were there, let me know how
that was. Big fan of Rolliston, big fan of how
(10:13):
damn quickly it's grown. If you've been at the Rolliston
Pack and Save, I wouldn't mind a review of that.
It's massive, but I'll take care of that because I'm
sure Roliston's going to get massive. So do come through
if that's something you want to mention. Also, oh eight
hundred eighty ten eighty and the weather and advice. Do
get amongst it people and I'll keep you updated when
(10:33):
the news throughout the North next three hours fifty two
minutes or whatever it is, three hours forty two So
get in touch if you want to be part of
the show. As I say, oh, eight hundred eighty ten
eighty and nine two nine two text, I can tell
you what's happening today. Also with it being the fourteenth, gosh,
it's did he labor weekend? M This day in forty seven,
(11:01):
Chuck Jaeger became the first human to fly fast at
the speed of sound for IF Fame. This day in
two thousand and seven, Keeping up with the Kardashians premiere
been going eighteen years yep. And what I like about
the Kadeshians it's not compulsory. If you want to watch it,
(11:22):
you can watch it. If you don't want to watch it,
you don't have to watch it. But what strikes me
amazing about the Kadeshians there's all sorts of people that
take great joy and having never watched it, how do
you know what you're not missing out? Oh, by the
way too, and you might want to go all outraged
on this. There will now be TV commercials on Christmas
(11:43):
Day and other public holidays. Not a fan, I'd have
liked that day, and I'm not overly churchy. I just
would to like Christmas Day. It's the one day you
ever got the ads. It seems a bit special. But
they're banging the ads in there because they want the
do ami. What do you think about that? I'm not
that happy about it, but I can live with it.
But still, if you ask me in a survey, are
(12:04):
you in favor? I'd say no, There you go. You
got my impression. Now someone's texted me and says, you
don't travel through the Aquino Tunnel anymore. They built a
bypass a few years ago. I'm talking about the new
one they're building. My comment was about there be any
damage to that if it's been flooded or the new
bypass has been set back by the by the weather
(12:27):
that's there. I'm fully aware of the aquino's gone, but
the message you one is still there. Marcus. If you
see abandoned ducklings on the road or in town, call
your official, call your regional fish in Game office. They
will happily rescue them and make sure they're safe. Went
into my pines on the hill to collect cones and
(12:50):
spook to Mama Mallard. Then I came across your nest
on the ground and a whole bunch of eggs. Wow,
I've got hearings as well. They nest high in my
pines overlooking his pond and fish Marcus. They are only
of saving ducklings. Is the one day they may be shot?
Donald Wamadou, did you ever hear of Migaloo's Seven sharp stories?
(13:12):
That I've never heard of? Miglou, I don't know what
it is you might want to tell me about that,
but all the lines are free looking forward to you
and put tonight your advice. You're comming on Rolliston or
ducklings or ads on Christmas? Is that too much stuff
for you?
Speaker 6 (13:25):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (13:25):
By the way, Migeloo is the all white humpback whale
that's in New Zealand and Cau Coulder. How do I
know there's not more than one of them? So Megaloo,
the world fimous white whale may be back in New
Zealand waters. The humpback is one of only four white
whales ever recorded worldwide. Foota has just been shared on
(13:47):
social media an albino humpback whales surfacing south of cau
Coulda on October ten. Wow, that's amazing. It's Migeloo. Probably
would you say Migelou might be an esquimo into it word?
I are gonna be into it. Wow by Goose Bay
with the train comes out. Love that goodness, it's amazing looking.
(14:12):
Oh that to bucket, let's once a lifetime thing to
see Miggeloo twenty two past eight. I've got more information
to impart. Migloo means a white fella aboriginal. It's extraordinary looking.
I wonder if every single animal has albinism, Like, is
there an albino giraffe? I know they see albino. Kiwis
(14:36):
from time to time and albino two wi's I think,
but I don't know if all animals have it. It's
will sounds like a bit of a thing on QI,
doesn't it. And also I'm keen to get your advice
from if you've got the advice to give given freely?
What is that? Hm? So yeah, get in touch here
(14:57):
till midnight. We'll read the text in too long. I
don't know if they do have albino giraffes, that might
be discussion for the night. I'll get to the text
and looking for your advice and comment on the Rolliston
supermarket and to avoid ducklings on the road. Marcus loved
the bank holidays as I get to see the train
trips add free. It's a great country on rail off
(15:20):
walking tomorrow. My advice to pensioners, we're looking at advice.
If they want anything fixed, they should check in with
their local men. Shed some advice for those who turned
off the hot water slam to save money. Please think
of the possibility that you or your kids could be
bitten by something and might need immediate warm, soapy wash
to avoid infection. Oh well, Marcus, where I live pokick,
(15:44):
I eat the ducklings ads on Christmas Day will mean
the Shawshank redption will be five hours long. Rollist in
the Town of the Futures, become the city of Now
next minute, bigger than Gisbon. All good, all good advice,
get going if you want to go. Oh eight hundred
and eighty ten eighty advice, the floods, the supermarket, anything else.
(16:08):
And Migaloo, the albino whale, which looks extraordinar it's only
four in the world. This is one which shows how
far they travel. It's kind of awesome. I don't know
if they're be doing special whale watching trips. I don't
know if it's kind of moved in there or well,
I don't know much about whales that if they're there
for a day or an hour, a week or a
(16:29):
lifetime Migaloo, but you'd want to see that. That'd get
your social media count up. You've got a selfie with
Migaloo breaching in front of your boat. So there, there
we go. That's what I'm about tonight, So get in touch.
If you want to get involved with the show, welcome
to it. I was going to go about the weather,
but yeah, it's been petchy always check your fishing knots.
(16:51):
That's good advice. Yeah, people haven't rather you phoned it through,
but you can keep texting it if you want to.
But yeah, it's be hearing from your people. Hitdle twelve. Yeah,
Migaloo's oh eight hundred eighty eighty advice and comments. By
the way, as anyone seen Migueloo there used to be
off Brisbane quite often, or the Gold Coast whatever that
(17:14):
part of the country is called. So yeah, I'll keep
you updated with the news around the world. Also tonight
not a problem. Mainly it's Trump complaining about his coverage
from his trip to Israel, which does not surprise anyone,
to surprise anyone, Yeah, be in touch with something different
(17:35):
you want to mention tonight. Also be my guest, literally
get in touch. Oh eight hundred and eighty ten eighty
and nine nine two to text if you want to
come through. Good to hear from you. But you still
text if you've got anything to text about your advice,
But mainly probably call to the stage. You'd be better
and get the show kind of cranking along a bit better.
(17:58):
Someone says charting the Chocolate Fact will be seven hours long.
You're probably right, Mark, Very good text, Mark, because I've
seen a lot of albino sheeps. Sheep. Extremely good point
you make there. I see what you've done white turkey,
So that's a good point. Someone says, where is Rolliston?
It'd be fifty k's south of christ Church, not as
(18:23):
far as ash Burton, further than Paul's will if I'm right.
Advice is what we're on about. Do you know this
is Marcus? Welcome, good evening.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
Hey Marcus, how are you What's the greatest thing that
you can ever learn?
Speaker 3 (18:44):
Is this rhetorical?
Speaker 7 (18:46):
None?
Speaker 3 (18:47):
Are you asking me?
Speaker 8 (18:50):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Okay, you're asking me what's the greatest thing you can
ever learn? It's quite a broad question, isn't it. Is
it one answer or you're looking for my opinion on
a variety of answers.
Speaker 8 (18:59):
Both.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
Okay, I'd like to know the day I'm going to die.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
Oh really, Well, it'll.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
Be interested that. I don't know if it changed the
way i'd live, but always be curious about that. Well,
you asked me a question, I'll give you an answer.
So I'm just yes, yes, So can you do some
of the talking now?
Speaker 9 (19:21):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (19:21):
Yes, okay, the greatest thing that you can ever learn
is just to love and be loved in routune Wow,
nexting Cole.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
So you could have asked, you could have said that
without asking me what the greatest thing you could ever
learned was, couldn't you? Because I wanted to say that
weird thing about knowing when you die?
Speaker 10 (19:44):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (19:45):
Is it a song?
Speaker 4 (19:48):
Yeah, it's a song by our neating cole called nature Boy.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
Does it meant something to you?
Speaker 11 (19:54):
D know?
Speaker 4 (19:56):
Yeah, it's a beautiful song. You check it out, you
won't check it out?
Speaker 3 (19:59):
Thank you? Twenty eight to nine, Good evening, die And
this is Marcus. Welcome.
Speaker 12 (20:04):
Yeah, hi, Marcus, swing up to let you know that
I've actually seen an albino penguin and also white whales,
which are the Beluga whales up in Churchill, in Canada.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
Churchill, Okay, the beluga whales here? Okay? Where'd you see
the white penguin? What was it a daily or.
Speaker 5 (20:27):
No?
Speaker 12 (20:27):
I can't remember which one it was, but it was
we were down on the nag Peninsula, yes, and that
and it was one of our early stops and that
and we got off the boats going in and here's
a white ping on the rocks.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
Because it must be quite rare because I've been to
those a daily penguin colonies at an Antarctica where there's
probably a quarter of a million, and there was no
albino one, so to see one is quite a blessing.
Speaker 13 (21:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (21:02):
Well, I've been down there three times and that's the
only time time, and that was ninety five on the
first trip down.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
Were they expecting to see it or was a surprise
to everyone?
Speaker 12 (21:15):
No surprise to everyone?
Speaker 3 (21:17):
Wow, you think too, because often without that the other
because there's such a society bird, you think they would
have they would have like ejected it from the colony.
Speaker 12 (21:30):
Yeah, picked on it. Yeah, yeah, but was it was
just by its south on the rock and other England's
Actually I think there were. It was a gentle people, it.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Would be would be gentoo.
Speaker 12 (21:42):
Yeah, but I thought, oh that's unusual. But I should
have taken a photo.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
And I must have taken a photo.
Speaker 12 (21:53):
No, because I you know, I did take about three
thousand photos when I stand there, but I forgot to
take that one photo that I should have taken, the.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
One I want to see if your all yours would
be the gento the watch in two? Yeah, do you
have like a grayish looking head?
Speaker 12 (22:13):
No, it was all kind of white.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
Okay, that's very interesting, Okay, Diane, thank you, well, it's
been interesting already. Twenty five to nine. Oh the boxing
day delayed. Cricket will be forty hours long. By the way,
Rolliston twenty five kilometers kilometers from Cathedral Square, kiddy Arma,
thank you. I caught the bus and the bus went
(22:36):
quite a convoluted way. If even when I got off
the bus, I still wasn't where I needed to be.
I was in the out blocks of Rolliston. It was
a long walk and no one was walking on a
hot day. Yeah, it wasn't good. I thought it just
take me to the main center of it. They dropped
me on the outskirts and the guy kind of did
that thing where he just sit there and the bus
(22:58):
shuts down, gets out the best bits and start fleetings
that he says, yep, mate, So where am I? He says, well,
and suit would he comment there? Advice and Albanism. By
the way, I'm only talked about that because last night,
which was interesting on the show, one of the guys
that rang up, he said, you might not this about me, Marcus,
but I am. I think you want to said Albino.
(23:23):
I can't quite remember the right way, and I thought, well,
I had no idea and no idea that one of
the people that I spoken to over the years was that.
So that was that was quite a.
Speaker 14 (23:34):
Well.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
For one thing, it shows the beauty of talkback is
that no one's judged and everyone can be themselves. They've
only already got their voice. Makes it a pure form,
doesn't it. Hold your horses with you soon in twenty
four to nine, twenty two to nine, hit or midnight, Michael,
This is Marcus.
Speaker 15 (23:53):
Welcome today, Marcus. First of all, do I call you
Marcus or do we call you counsel a lush?
Speaker 8 (24:00):
Now?
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Marcus still Marcus always Marcus.
Speaker 7 (24:03):
Well done.
Speaker 15 (24:05):
Yeah, Hey, a couple of things I have. I'll told
you I was just going to tell you a story
about the ducklings when you as you just told my
wife the other day. And I'll give a shout out
to a trucking company as well. I was heading off
over to rain on the I got the milk tankers
and I was hitting over to Acola the other day,
(24:27):
just heading around pass around by Lake Ellesmere in the
bit of a little rocky outcrop, and a stock truck
came around the corner as flashing as lights, and I
thought the roads from narrows a little bit. I thought,
I'll just I'll slow down and sort of there could
either be a workman around there, it could be a
cyclist or maybe a car broken down. I slowed right down,
sort of put my heads and lights on. Came around
(24:49):
the corner and there's a duck on the road trying
to get seven ducklings across the road.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
And what a heart woman story, Michael, My work here
was done. What a story.
Speaker 15 (24:59):
Yeah, And then the funny thing was there speeder the
it was instead of followed her, but they managed to
and they got off into made sure they sort of
had the hand of lar sort of, and they got
off and they went off and they the long grass
and they went over the embankment and sort of made
(25:19):
their way towards the alls of lake.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
So yeah, Michael, Michael, sorry, you just cut out with
the middle of the story. Did you stop and to
escort the ducks or what was the No?
Speaker 15 (25:30):
No, no, I just no, no, they were just I
just thought they I'll just leave them alone. And she
was just quite happy sort of go around the circles
trying to round them all up and went across the road.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
Might have been the first crossing.
Speaker 10 (25:42):
It could have been.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
Yeah, it sounds like yeah, okay, yeah.
Speaker 15 (25:46):
So Bank's Peninsula Transport guy who was just I was right,
you know, both of you there.
Speaker 16 (25:50):
It was great, It was excellent.
Speaker 15 (25:52):
Yeah, I live in Rolston, the city of the future. Yeah,
big changes there. You know, old buddy, old Sam he got,
Buddy he got. He got voted out by quite a majority.
Oh yeah, and new councilor I think Lydia Gideon has
has come in. But you know, sort of I think
(26:14):
Sam was up sort of he really was up against it.
He he sort of got off favor, off favor with
the Numbla rate players, with the sort of the the
sort of the new sort of water sort of regime,
that sort of stuff about that to happen at Rolliston.
And yeah, sort of one or two other things. So anyway, Hey, look,
(26:39):
you know you're voting good.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
Luck with that good luck, but are going to do
anything well, I think they're gonna try and bring rights
down with all free waters and stuff. They're up against it.
Have you been to the peck and save?
Speaker 15 (26:51):
Yeah, first day to day No, I was actually sleeping today,
so I'm on my night shift at the moment. So look,
I'll be honest, I'll go and have a little I'll
go and have it. We look see and that I
could possibly do it tomorrow and we're important.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Yeah, reporter, And I don't I don't know what you're
going to say. It's just I can say so it's
cheap and cheerful. With things up high, I don't know
how they cope in a quake with all those ship
things stupped on the shelves. Did you have advice?
Speaker 7 (27:15):
Oh?
Speaker 16 (27:15):
Yes, I have advice.
Speaker 15 (27:17):
Yes, basically your wife is always right?
Speaker 3 (27:27):
Is it advice or is that a guide to living?
I don't know if that.
Speaker 17 (27:30):
I think it might be.
Speaker 7 (27:35):
Even if you roll.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
It's relationship advice, isn't it?
Speaker 8 (27:44):
Yes?
Speaker 15 (27:44):
Because yes. And the other bit of advice is I've
got is I always say that loyalty is one step
short of delusional.
Speaker 18 (27:52):
Well that's my other bit of a.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
Wow, and you've made that one up yourself. I haven't
heard that, right, Well haven't you?
Speaker 18 (27:58):
No?
Speaker 19 (27:58):
No?
Speaker 15 (27:58):
I always people, Yeah, what's the what's the definition of loyalty?
One step short of delusional? And I've lived by that
for a number of years and it's true.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
Yeah, the complete call, Michael, got it all. You've touched
all the bases. Seventeen away from nine. Look forward to
your supermarket report here till twelve oh way t one
hundred eighty ten eighty nine two nine two de text
the migeloo. That's the whale there, albino whale off Calculta
or off Oaro or goose Bay, goose Bay. I don't
(28:31):
know why they call it Goosebay. I guess there was
geese there, right, Marcus. We're on the porthills at christ
Chitchens or a beautiful white headgehog. Goodness, you know. I
don't know if it's in all animals, but this is
the gist for Tonight Advice and Rolliston and ducklings. We've
got a show. It's fractured, but it's a show sixteen
(28:56):
to nine, looking forward to what you've got to say.
There are pink dolphins in the Amazon River. Beautiful creatures.
That's what I've got, a wolf freeze with the pink
dolphins on. Not all white animals or albino lucistic is
more common, but offer mistaken for albanism. Thank you for
that head or twelve minames Marcus could even welcome. Oh
(29:17):
we eight hundred and eighty Tyne. We're looking at advice
and stories about albinism and penguins and ducklings. There's just
a start. Oh and the fact that TV's gonna have
commercials on Christmas Day. There's one day flip. If you
got to allow TV in dead to play commercials on
(29:39):
Christmas Day, you may as well let the garden centers
open on Easter when you can't fight that battle now,
and you've let people play adds on nothing sacred. That's it.
Laydown is the beginning of the end, Jeapest, So it
comes if you want to about all these things. She's
a broad Church tonight thirteen to nine. I'm not quite
sure what's going to happen tonight. And then the drug
(30:10):
and then the ducks grow up and get blown out
of the sky. How cute? Oh yeah, But you know
Marcus traveling through the Hut Valley yes day and the
blistering run I had to stop for a jaywalking duck.
The dude just kept pulling out till all the traffic stopped.
I let him pass my side, then waited to make
sure the traffic on the other side stopped.
Speaker 19 (30:29):
Too.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
Usually they used the crossing, but he seemed in a rush.
Troy might have been hungry, ah out for food. All
duck stories and duck crossing stories are good. My point
is just you know, there's a lot of them on
the roads at this time. And you might tell to
think these birds are going to fly with our birds,
but they're not birds that can fly, So be concerned
about that and cautious. Yep, Hit'll twelve, Come on these
(30:55):
other stuff you want to mention. I'm here for it tonight.
Ads on Christmas Dave, everyone's furious about that.
Speaker 16 (31:01):
Let me know.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
I'm not furious, but I think it's a mistake. I
can live with it. Watch TV on Christmas Day. I've
seen Nottinghill. Is that the one that's will be on
Christmas Day?
Speaker 20 (31:13):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (31:14):
I love interrupted? Is that what it's called? Love? Actually?
Pretty much have all bleanned in my mind to be
in the same movie. Is is Hugh Grant and both
of them? I guess he probably is. Ooo? How are
you people? What's happening? Let's be hearing from you. Do
you want to get involved in the show? Advice, Albinism, Penguins,
(31:39):
Ducklings and adds On Christmas day. It's pretty much we're
at so far. If you want to put that, push
that boat out and have some more stuff. I'm kind
of curious about the advice, actually, because I find that
it's interesting what people think is good advice and what
they think is good advice. And Roliston's peck and save.
(32:05):
I was excited about the story about the new Theories,
but I don'tk there's any pictures of them meet, which
is a worry. Ten to nine, nine to nine, Marcus
till twelve, Peter, good evening, Welcome.
Speaker 19 (32:20):
Ry Marcus.
Speaker 6 (32:20):
Congratulations getting as a counselor thank you, Peter. No, that's good. Yeah,
you know, I think about the regarding to that they're
going to have advertising on Christmas Day on TV, well
you might just open the gates up and let anybody
wants to trade and Christmas it's Christmas Day or not
(32:41):
Christmas Day, they should be one day there should not
be trading. But besides that, whether it's Easter weekend and stuff.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Like that, I agree they're show and disrespect to it.
Speaker 6 (32:53):
Oh, I have totally. It's good enough, good for the goose,
It's good for the gandern't it.
Speaker 3 (32:57):
Yeah, I actually think so. I think you know, you're
either going to respect those days and not commercialize them,
or just think, okay, we're seeking the country. Can do
what you want.
Speaker 6 (33:08):
They said that, they said in the presence president. So
far as I'm soon that the whole theory is gone
out the door. Isn't it really.
Speaker 7 (33:19):
Money?
Speaker 21 (33:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (33:21):
No, I think it's crazy. I think it's greedy too.
You can't just think, oh, well, now we need some money,
We're going to throw our sort of our I speak
for religious religious observance out the window.
Speaker 6 (33:34):
It's quite a shock, a really good thing about it.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
I don't think it's good at all.
Speaker 6 (33:40):
No, it's sort of it's sort of that's one day
you think that really.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Yeah, I thought so. I think it's a real surprise.
It doesn't mean I'm not going to vote for them.
I don't think I'll be voting for them anyway, but
still I am surprised by it.
Speaker 6 (33:53):
Yeah, sort of, Yeah, gonout the door.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
How how is your experiences with democracy? What are you
regarding your run for your run for counsel.
Speaker 6 (34:11):
It's like a bit of its like going to the races.
End of the day in the Marcus I did I
did it for the reason I didn't.
Speaker 7 (34:21):
I did it.
Speaker 6 (34:22):
I did it because I was so annoyed with what
how we was over spending in the council was out
of control, too many projects at one time instead of
doing one at a time and paying that one then
go on for the next one. So I'm pleased I
did it. I wasn't doing it for for the monetary thing,
which a lot I think people do. They get to
(34:42):
a stage of heath and I get some money. I
wasn't doing for that at all. I was solely doing
it because I was fed up with the counsel that
we had and we needed a change. So I'm hoping
I would have gone then I made a bit of
a change of basically putting the handbrake on and and
stopping the spending of overspending. And but then again it's
(35:02):
like a horse race. You think that people that would
get in, they haven't got in. So it's basically it's
sort of do with people that they look at the
little book and they've already chosen who they're going to vote.
It's like old school. They quite happy what they got.
They don't want change, so they don't want change. You
(35:23):
get what you get.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
You must have met a few people in the campaign.
It's a good way to meet people, isn't anyone seems
to be on the best form. They're always quite It's
always quite fun to meet people in that kind of
those kind of situations. I always quite enjoy it.
Speaker 6 (35:36):
Oh, No, it's good. At the end of the day.
They're all good people, like you mean, well you got
they all got their different opinions and ideas the end
of the day, that is what it is. And ever
gets elected that people decided to choose those people and
just going to get on and live.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
With Yeah, was there a function? Did you have a party?
Was there a party or get together on the Saturday?
Speaker 6 (35:59):
No, I know one of the counselors. I should have
gone to it. I suppose they did have a dubs
one night after they sort of knew who's got and
and I suppose I should have gone to.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
The but I didn't get Well, I guess I guess
the generous thing would have been to go to congratulate,
to congratulate the others. But yeah, I guess that's kind
of what people would do.
Speaker 6 (36:22):
Yeah, so we just got to see what happens in
the next three years, and hoping the people that voters
for the people they voted, and.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Congratulation. I think you're brave to run to congratulations on that.
Good on you for doing that. Hettel twelve, My name's Marcus.
Welcome advice. You got the advice Marcu's advice. Listen for
the purpose it's there. You just have to appreciate the
same relevance as the one that assuring it to you.
That's the hardest part for most. Why did the chicken
(36:54):
cross the road? Because it was free range? Ducks have
really good at keeping mosquitoes down, but not so good
if they hang out around the back door looking for extras.
If you ever need to bake some thing, if you
tell Chetchipity what the ingredients you have and which ones
you want to use, a big or swaller percentage of
it will give you a failproof recipe. Also, it will
(37:15):
advise on repairing anything and answer any gardening questions. Ads
on those days we're going to hell in a handcart?
What's the government going to do next? By the way
over my dead body will zb have ads? On Christmas Day?
We didn't say we would, did we, Dan? Are we allowed?
Oh we wouldn't do it? Oh God, it's TV and radio. Well, look, honestly,
(37:42):
jeepest creepers, I reckon because we I think the Christians
do that special day. I think they'd probably pack their
bags if that happen. They do a fairly good show
too on Christmas. They always want awards for it, but
they wouldn't be happy of it. I'll tell you what,
because that's a special show. They put a lot of
work into that as kids talking about opening presents and
all sorts of stuff. It's always new every year. Gosh,
(38:04):
they couldn't put ads in it, could they? For goodness sake?
Be the beginning of the end, the end of the beginning.
Hurdle twelve Just so you know the road updates. You
have a hell of a drop job getting north from
New Plymouth tonight. All those roads are closed, so that
whole area between you Plymouth and Tomlin and knowing all
(38:27):
the roads are closed to just know you're probably not going.
I'm sure people are aware of that has been extremely wet.
So that's the update for If you've got any specific
information you're about to drive, let me know and I
will tell you what you need. We're looking for advice.
What's the advice you've got for people? If you want
(38:48):
to bring up with any of those, would be good
to hear from you. Ads on that, and also they're
going to put ads on Christmas Day. Your response to
that ads on Christmas Day? We going to a helen
a handcut. What will the government do next? I think
radio is affected day, which is weird. Marcus allowing ads
(39:11):
on Christmas Day? Why did it get changed? A very
good point, Marcus Stephen did plus have some okay things
to watch? They even have ads during the news at
watch headlines that turn off. Don't know what that means?
What is the graymouth? Barber might want to answer that
all the lines there are free. Advice and penguins and
albinism the three topics for us so far after this mingaloo,
(39:34):
the albino whale has come across. We're also talking about ducklings,
a lot of those on the right of them, and
be cautious of those. But all the lines are free.
If there's something else you want to mention, do come through.
She's all on people, So let's be hearing from you.
Eight hundred and eighty ten eighty. By the way, that
crash and Marlborough has been a fatal that's the one
south of Ward. It was a three vehicle crash between
(39:59):
Ward and Farla Nui, fifty k south of Ledham. Serrus
christudents investigate in there, so there will be diversions around
there as they investigate. And also Peck and say Rolliston
has opened biggest souper mark in the South Island. That's
enough for me. I eagerly embrace your calls tonight. If
you do want to talk about this or anything else,
(40:23):
make the effort. Let's be hearing from you. Mainly the
most topic that's got I don't know why they stopped
doing ads on Christmas Day or this started doing ads
on Christmas Day. I have a quick look at the
reasoning if you like, what are they saying about this?
(40:46):
Just reading it now because the media industry is doing
it tough. They read it's worth six million dollars extra
a year, four million for TV, two million for radio,
(41:11):
which is one percent less than one percent increase in revenue.
You can also add on a Sunday morning. Yep. So
I guess the thing is that the point they're making
is hypocritical because social media, YouTube and things can play
adds whenever they like, so they're trying to even the
playing field still seems wrong to me. And we get
(41:35):
a new cook Street Fairies Cox Straight Fairies from China
Guangzhou Shipping GSI. I don't know if we've got a
sweetheart deal from them and quite how that's going. So
that might be something you want to mention it a
little as well. But all the lines are free, be
nice to hear from you might be doing something interesting
as well. Eleven past nine. Come on, oh wait, one
(41:56):
hundred and eighty eight today and come on, let's be
hearing from you this and then. And if you've got
the advice for any people, something you've learned today you
want to impart to people, That's what I'd like to
hear about. I'll be curious about what your advice is.
So yeah, if you got something to say about that,
(42:16):
I'd like to hear from you. Eight hundred and eighty
ten eighty and ninety nine to detective there's something different
you want to talk about. What does that?
Speaker 11 (42:24):
Let me know?
Speaker 3 (42:27):
Be in touch if you want to talk yep now
adds on Christmas Day, rise as you peck and save.
Oh there's cricket tonight. The Women's ODI is on New Zealand,
(42:48):
playing their third match against Sri Lanka tonight at ten
thirty pm. Didn't know that doctors and dentist are joining
a strike later this month twenty third October and the
next all black matches against Ireland in Chicago on set
in November. So I can tell you two people, but
(43:11):
if you want to talk on their thirteen past nine,
get in touch. No chee, I'm dropping things now as
I say, eight hundred and eighty ten eighty and nine
two ninety two detext Oh, this is interesting, thanks for that,
(43:36):
so some of you will be listening in your car.
There is no diversion around the crash at Ward and
the crash was about three pm. Someone has just been
told they could be parked till six in the morning.
That's like a sixteen seventeen eighteen hour road closure, which
(43:59):
is pretty extreme. But yeah, no diversion there. So I'll
look on and I'll keep check check on ented Tia
to find more information about that. That's pretty bad. It's
a long wait. Obviously it's a fatal extent, and obviously
I guess what happens. It takes the serious question at
a while to get there. Then they've got to do
(44:20):
the investigation. So I'm just looking go to the website
now to see about that due to a crash that
I one has closed. Avoid the air and delay your
journey if possible, so there's no roads around there. This
you got through the Molesworth or something. Fourteen past nine, Sandra,
(44:44):
This is Marcus Welcome.
Speaker 14 (44:46):
Hi.
Speaker 3 (44:46):
How are you very good? Thank you? Sandra.
Speaker 9 (44:50):
Hi.
Speaker 22 (44:50):
I've just come back from the Chatham Islands for eight
seven day trip and I think that all keyweks.
Speaker 10 (45:03):
Need to go in here to look at the chat
on one.
Speaker 7 (45:06):
It's awesome placed.
Speaker 3 (45:08):
How'd you get there? And where did you go through?
Speaker 22 (45:11):
I went from Wellington to a chettams Okay and I
went on with my ninety year old father and we
went on an eight day tour and we stayed at
the Chatham Hotel and the Crone or Tony Crone who
(45:38):
owns I assume the hotel and Channa Minands.
Speaker 23 (45:44):
We went on the bus.
Speaker 22 (45:46):
The wheels go round and round on the bus and
it was just awesome. And I think a lot of
key we need to go and see what is in
the channel Mirands.
Speaker 3 (45:59):
Wow, and what are they saying about their lot? Are
they contend over there at the moment they're happy with
their lot. Yes, and no.
Speaker 22 (46:07):
I think they've got a new port thereof port what
I call a report a wolf. They've got a new
ship coming in twenty twenty seven. They have been shafted
big time, I would call by the government of New Zealand.
Speaker 18 (46:29):
But they're doing all right.
Speaker 22 (46:31):
Yeah, it's a neat place the seafood man. If you're
a camajuana lover, it's just a neat place. And I
think a lot of kiwis need to go and see
a huge amounts of kiwis have been over these seeing
(46:55):
the world. Go and see your backyard.
Speaker 3 (46:58):
Did they let you eat waker.
Speaker 14 (47:01):
No?
Speaker 22 (47:02):
No, this shiploads are weakers over there.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
But that I know, I know it's legal to eat them.
And that's what I'm asking you that question.
Speaker 22 (47:11):
Yeah, no these No, we weren't offered weaker keeps the
food Blue Nose were fishing. It was quite We went fishing.
Speaker 8 (47:26):
Off a.
Speaker 22 (47:29):
Boat and yeah it was cool. But I think that
a lot of people need to go to Chamonds and
say Chemnards have been.
Speaker 7 (47:37):
Shafted, I think for a long time.
Speaker 22 (47:40):
And they they've seen crayfish power to around the world
and lots of other things. But yeah, I just want
to put it out, go and see Chaumolands.
Speaker 3 (47:57):
Good advice, sounder, thanks for that. Even this is Marcus welcome.
Speaker 16 (48:01):
Yes, good Marcus, congradual agents.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
Thank you, Evan.
Speaker 2 (48:06):
We have was the man.
Speaker 16 (48:07):
Now who's going to look after the fibe?
Speaker 14 (48:09):
Ah?
Speaker 3 (48:10):
Be self sustaining?
Speaker 2 (48:12):
Ah Ye?
Speaker 16 (48:15):
Did you take my advice on the curtains?
Speaker 3 (48:18):
Not yet?
Speaker 14 (48:20):
Oh?
Speaker 16 (48:20):
Yeah, well you had plenty of money for that.
Speaker 3 (48:22):
Now now what did you want? Did you want to
give me advice?
Speaker 8 (48:26):
Now?
Speaker 16 (48:27):
I wanted to give some advice.
Speaker 8 (48:28):
Yes, good, Never give up and hopefully the truth will
come out.
Speaker 3 (48:35):
Yep, it's about faith. Thanks Evan, never give up. Hopefully
the truth will come. At eighteen past nine, Marcus, I
love hearing children calling it on Christmas Day and even
children's stories or games too, But their Christmas show is
too religious for me. Wow, I've never listened, to be honest,
I never thought it was Christmas Day. I might listen
(48:57):
to see what they're doing on the radio. In my
early days, often I volunteered to do radio on Christmas
Day and it was always extremely underwhelming and always thought, Gee,
what I've volunteered to do this? There's much better things
to be doing on Christmas Day. But you know, I
don't know if Fradia is going to do ads, but
there could will be commercials on Christmas Day. Yep. I
(49:22):
guess it gives the announcers a break, especially during a
mid dawn with no breaks. That's hard work. Jebba Yeah,
but yeah, but yeah by Jebba Hitdle twelve Marcus till midnight,
eighteen past nine. Now we are asking for people's advice,
not if people are sitting through quite generic advice like
aim for the Stars or something. But I thought there
(49:44):
might be someone might have some things that they've discovered
out well, I'd like to tell people about that. It
might be some retail advice or some mechanical advice or
something like that that you've just discovered yourself after a
lifetime of've you thought, well, I wouldn't mind. Actually, that's
so good. I wouldn't mind telling others. So that's what
you've got, That's what I'm about tonight. So if you've
got some of those things, let us know. Oh eight
(50:05):
hundred and eighty ten eighty. Also tonight we are talking
about albinism and pook Ecko's no albutism and ducklings it
is duckling season. That's something also tonight. And the Pack
and Save at Roliston, South Island's biggest supermarket. It's a
(50:25):
super supermarket, so that's something also you might want to
talk about. And the Channam Islands and a bit of
wash up from the elections. So it's all on. That's
the plan anyway. But yeah, I just want your calls tonight.
You might have something else that's random to go on with.
(50:50):
By the way, I think Chattam Islands is seen there
too us. It's pretty pricey to get to. It'd be
cheaper to go overseas, wouldn't it. Marcus many years ago
is white beating on the Rewaka River. Across from me.
Along came a mother duck with seven babies. One of
the babies had broken away from the family and was
swimming along the bank, heading towards my net. The mother
(51:12):
was squawking at this duckling hard out. The duckling was
looking back at the mother, arguing with her. Back and
forth they went, and the next thing, the duckling swam
straight into my net. I've never seen things so funny
nature as the fright that little duckling got. As it's
scarped back to mum Joe from Weewaka. Here's a bit
of advice. This is what I'm about. General advice, generous advice,
(51:33):
my advice. Fuel up on Thursdays on average, it's usually
five to eight percents cheaper than any other day of
the week. Fuel companies all compete on Thursdays to try
and disrupt the high demand of everyone usually fueling up
on Friday and weekend and get them in early. There
you go, fuel up on Thursdays. It's cheaper. That's the plan.
(51:58):
Great advice, that's what we want. If you can find
some phone calls with things like that and make my
life happy. Here til twelve eight n eighty ten eighty
and nineteen nine to two detects if you want to
be a part of it, here till midnight tonight obviously
ah uh, Tim bevers long from twelve, I have got
(52:20):
some announcement for you. Also, News Talk ZB on Gisbone
on nine four five am is off here for maintenance
until four fifty pm. There will also be an outage
from midnight to five. What does that mean? Oh, it's
(52:42):
been offor it's back ons it's going off again at midnight.
So it's back on at five am, so it's off
at midnight. Goodness, so you should need to be aware
of that. People of gisbone and fueling up. That's interesting.
But you see, I you've got some of those some
(53:02):
advice for people. That's what we're about tonight. By the way,
this saying shoe market has shown good signs of a
health up that he wouldn't be getting better, would he?
Apparently he's autographed a helmet. Make of that what you will?
Twenty five past nine. By the way, I've just heard
news from the police that accident that road south of
(53:24):
wood State Hiway on South Island. The police have said
that they should wrap up their investigations or that part
of investigations, and that road should open in the next
couple of hours, so you won't be hopefully waiting until
six o'clock in the morning. So that's a situation there.
It's twenty eight past eight plus nine, so all the
lines are free. I'm looking forward to what you want
(53:45):
to say go on about tonight. I think we probably
did another topic also, or a back topic. So if
there's something you want to mention, good But if you
want to talk about advice for people, like relevant advice,
not aphorisms, but come through with some of that. Would
love to hear from you. Also talk about albinism with
that mingaloo, that big white whale that's off Cai Kola
(54:07):
which looks kind of amazing, and the floods around Albuquino.
Anything else you want to talk about too. But I
talk about tourism and the Chathams. I guess they're liking that.
I guess it's all money for their economy. But yeah,
you want to manage it fairly well, wouldn't. You don't
want it to get too big too soon. So that
(54:28):
might be something you want to mention to. I see,
probably during COVID or after COVID, I've felt there was
a lot of people going over there, a lot of
people coming up with kind of tours to the Chathams.
Sounded to be like the seven to eight days was
a pretty long day long amount of time to be there.
But you might want to mention that too. But as
I say, I'm not fussy what you want to talk
about though, Just give me a holler so that we
(54:51):
got that to a situation too. But yeah, I'll give
you a bit of an update with our roads in
the in the North Island, but a lot of them
are closed because there's been extremely heavy rain. State Highway
three north of New Plymouth, State Hiway four and State
Hiway forty three, the Forgotten Road Highway, all those have closed.
And in the White Cattel State Highway thirty from Tiquity
(55:13):
and Benny Dale and State Hway thirty one closed between
Nutainui and Opero. So they are the roads that are
closed for you. Do get in touch if you want
to talk. As I say, the number is eight hundred
and eighty toy Hetel twelve. There's something else you want
to mention, get in touch and yeah, just so also
(55:34):
to that excellent south of board. That road's closed but
should open in the next couple of hours once they
have finished their investigation. So there we go, Dave, this
is Marcus.
Speaker 16 (55:44):
Welcome evening. Marcus. Have you seen the Dender Prime Minister movie.
Speaker 3 (55:50):
No, I don't think it's It hasn't screened where I live.
Speaker 16 (55:54):
Yeah, well I saw it on Sunday. You were good
in it, by the way.
Speaker 3 (55:58):
Yeah, well, I'm not quite sure how that came about,
because I don't know what I'm doing in it. It's
just audio is it.
Speaker 16 (56:04):
Yeah, news talks, there'd be Marcus. You use the person's name,
then you go Marcus and they've got to start talking.
Speaker 3 (56:11):
Yeah, Okay, I don't know. I guess they can't of
I guess because in the public domain, they didn't need
to seek permission for that.
Speaker 16 (56:17):
So you might get royalties. Make sure they've got your
bank account and you them with holding taxco.
Speaker 3 (56:24):
I wouldn't have mind their heads up for that, because
I was surprised when people said.
Speaker 16 (56:27):
That I found it a really good movie. I was
really pleased that it was neither four or against her.
Speaker 3 (56:36):
Yeah, I.
Speaker 16 (56:40):
Need growing up from burse through to five. Of so
many giggles in the audience that poor little girl. You
we're all a victim of our environment. When she's three
or four years old, she's standing in front of all
of the ministers going, good to meet you, shakes the hand,
goes to the next one, good to meet you, shakes
the hand. Poor little three d really cute, beautiful New
(57:02):
Zealand scenery at the end. So when you imagine this
being shown into the nationally, what a draw card.
Speaker 20 (57:08):
Ye.
Speaker 16 (57:09):
My personal view to share is I've got a lot
of respect for her compassion. I believe that it was
genuine for the christ Church shootings and the desire to
keep us all safe and COVID. But I'm against her
for her monetary policy and what I perceived to be
lack of commercial acumen. So at the end of the day,
I'm a naysayer, but I feel the movie did New
(57:32):
Zealand really good. It did the full range of emotion
and politics really could and it was it was. I
would say it's complementary of her as being a person
who did their best. Have you heard of a tongata
the christ Church charity tall Bobby run But I think
(57:54):
he's a cricketer that runs it.
Speaker 3 (57:57):
A cricketer.
Speaker 16 (57:59):
Yeah, it's a form of professional cricketer kay k somewhat
gallard and it's a tangata probably dot org dot end
tall poppy syndrome.
Speaker 3 (58:12):
No, I haven't heard of it.
Speaker 16 (58:14):
Well, and so anyway, tall poppy syndrome is pretty obvious,
I think just under Again, I'm a naysayer, but I
think she needs to get credit for having given her
to go and we should encourage it. So the advice
tonight here we go. Everyone should give it a go,
because if we only ever started the things, it might
be too high high feeling for you.
Speaker 17 (58:35):
If we only ever started the.
Speaker 16 (58:37):
Things we knew we're going to succeed, that we'd never
take our first today.
Speaker 3 (58:40):
So don't be fair of failure, all right. I think
it's called a two tangata standing together they syndrome. I
don't know much. I don't even think there is no
if there is a tall poppy syndrome in news even
But you've had some experience with a t.
Speaker 16 (58:54):
Have you, No, I haven't not been to the Chair
of Islands on holiday on a work a working trip.
Speaker 23 (59:02):
Wow.
Speaker 16 (59:03):
They only know how to serve you fish and red meat,
not a vegetable in sight. Virtually no cell phone internet
overage at all, and air Chathams goes on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
So I went on on a Monday and came out
on a Wednesday. Treated me like a VIP. We went
on a bus trip from one end of the island
(59:24):
to the other to do something, all on gravel roads,
and they were getting quite excited. How many kilometers of
bitchamen was laid each year?
Speaker 3 (59:33):
What area did you work on that took you over there? Dave?
Speaker 16 (59:37):
Back in the beginning, I designed one of the world's
first coin operated computer jukeboxes, and I've got such a
good product. I've got one in the Chatham Hotel and
my private can withstand power fluctuations, of which they've.
Speaker 14 (59:49):
Got lots of.
Speaker 3 (59:50):
Hang on.
Speaker 16 (59:51):
So I was over there doing commercial music.
Speaker 3 (59:53):
You run the jukebox in the Chattermolin Hotel.
Speaker 16 (59:57):
Yeah, yeah, I sold it to the guy one hundred
years ago.
Speaker 3 (01:00:01):
Does it golf coins?
Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
Yes?
Speaker 16 (01:00:03):
Put the dollar in or the two dollars gives you
three touch the screen. Pick your Elvis Presley or your
John Rowls.
Speaker 3 (01:00:11):
Quick set down what the music is on vinylar on.
Speaker 16 (01:00:16):
Digital computer based. I designed it before MP three existed.
It used to be on a quart of sample wave format.
Then this new thing called MP three came out and
the Quantum big Foot twelve gig card drive started getting larger.
So we're back in Windows three point one in those days.
Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
So what how long were you there? How long ago
were you there?
Speaker 24 (01:00:39):
Thirty years?
Speaker 23 (01:00:40):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:00:40):
I see? Okay, so is the jukebox? Is the jukebox
still there?
Speaker 10 (01:00:45):
O say?
Speaker 16 (01:00:46):
So they're still going. They're running on Windows XP, but
they're still going all around New Zealand and Australia.
Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
Okay, I want to know what the most requested song
is on that jukebox.
Speaker 16 (01:00:56):
You'd have to ask the publican because it's got that's
got that data, but.
Speaker 3 (01:00:59):
You don't long have access to it.
Speaker 16 (01:01:02):
No, I was never online in those days. That's one
of the reasons I exited that streaming Cayman.
Speaker 3 (01:01:08):
It's a great story, Dave. You're a great caller, one
of the greats. Tom. This is Marcus Welcome.
Speaker 9 (01:01:15):
You're talking to me.
Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
Market is Tom welcome?
Speaker 9 (01:01:17):
Rightio. Yeah, I've just been trapping home in my car
and I heard you talking about asking people if they
had any advice for other people. I've been going to
wring you for about a week and I finally plucked
up the courage to do so. Thank you, right I
I'm not really sure where to start, but I'm talking
about this long COVID business that's going around. I think
(01:01:40):
someone tried to bring it up last week but checked out.
I heard you when I was listening to your radio.
Someone talked about it, but it never went any further.
Speaker 8 (01:01:47):
On the news.
Speaker 9 (01:01:48):
On Friday night on ten or one, the last article
on the news for the story about a couple of
women I think one and well into one in Auckland,
maybe late twenties, early thirties, that have suffered like I
have been for the last eighteen months, with the symptoms
of long COVID without actually having on COVID. I don't
(01:02:09):
know whether you saw that article or not saw that
news item.
Speaker 3 (01:02:12):
I didn't.
Speaker 10 (01:02:14):
Well.
Speaker 9 (01:02:14):
These two women who young at that age, are so
bad they're almost being put into a rest home because
there's nowhere else. They can't get into the hospital system.
Obviously they can't look after themselves. And there the thing
on the news was the telling that these people were
going into a wrist home, which I thought, is that
(01:02:34):
stirred my interest was that I had been suffering for
about the last eighteen months with the same symptoms, not
quite as bad as they were, but very very close
to it. I don't know. I mean with the long
when I say you have long symptoms, but you don't
have the COVID I have. Was freed and cold. I
had brain fog too. You wouldn't imagine. I couldn't looked anything.
(01:02:57):
I could barely walk. With everything I've been through, all
the systems and the croch health. The hospital in the
last eighteen months had cameras poked with cameras aren't supposed
to be poked, and had breathing test and this test
and that test and scans and god knows what else.
It all started off with me because I have a
lot of canaries and they thought it was the dust
(01:03:17):
from my canaries that had done my lungs. That was
the first thing. But it's developed from there because I
had a breathing test four weeks ago and the guy
that took the test that he wish you could get
the results that I can get with my brother lung
So obviously there's not much wrong with my lungs at
the moment.
Speaker 3 (01:03:35):
Great thing to say, yep, yep.
Speaker 9 (01:03:39):
Then we've been down all sorts of other lines. At
the moment, I've been diagnosed with stress asthma. That's the
last thing. On top of that, I also had all
these symptoms of long COVID. Now there's an article. I
know people don't like hearing articles about people, but there's
a two page article that come out of New Zealand
(01:04:01):
Journal of Natural Medicine, issue fifty five about an American
very ologist, I think that's what you call them, doctor
Robert Redford, who's done some research over there. Because he
was noting that a lot of people that a lot
of people that didn't get long COVID were heavy smokers.
Speaker 11 (01:04:22):
I don't know.
Speaker 9 (01:04:23):
I have no idea what their research is.
Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
And say, I was.
Speaker 9 (01:04:28):
Six weeks ago when I was walking my dog around
the block. I had a walking stick and two coats on,
and I was still shivering, but I was still let
to take the dog for a walk. Today, I run
around the block with a no walking stick and a
short sleeved shirt on, and the dog has been around
the block twice. And the symptom that this guy has
come out with and it sounds so simple as nicotine patches. Now,
(01:04:52):
I'm quite happy to talk to anyone in the media
if they want to talk to me, because what's happened
to me in the last five weeks has been absolutely
I just cannot believe how I have changed. I could
barely walk to my mailbox five weeks ago. I was
so sick. Now I'm run around and this last weekend,
I mean, I do quite a bit of voluntary stuff,
(01:05:13):
but I haven't able to do that. I do voluntary
at Deadmund's garden and cry touch every Saturday on the
terms that I did the weeding, and the people behind
it had.
Speaker 11 (01:05:21):
To come on.
Speaker 9 (01:05:21):
I couldn't carry anything, so I couldn't pick up the weeds.
I could put them out of the garden, but I
couldn't put them in a bucket and walk. If I
walked ten yards if full a over k. So a
friend sent me this article for a two page article
about these nicotine patches, and I have put one on
and took about a week. Like this article said it
(01:05:42):
would take a week, and I'm just if I had
any more energy at the moment, I would be dangerous.
I have no idea what the connection is.
Speaker 3 (01:05:49):
So Tom, you don't know why did you have long COVID?
Speaker 9 (01:05:53):
I had long COVID earlier on yes, and that went away,
and then we got the reoccurring. This reoccurring is a
lot worse than ever the long COVID was, like you
know what they're calling? This reoccurring reoccurring long covid absolutely
just just unbelievable. I was only about two small stages
better than those two women that were on the news
(01:06:13):
on Saturday Friday night. I don't know if there's any
way of getting a message them or someone on the
on the get ahold of someone in the news and
break I don't know how long this article has been going.
Two different people have, one from the north and one
from the south, have told me about it, so it
is circulating a little bit. I just took a look
ateen patch on my stomach once. The only thing I
tell vision the packet has don't stick them both on
(01:06:34):
the same time. I didn't make the mistake of being
straight up with my chemistry. I get on very well
with and asked him what. I told him what I
wanted them for, and he said, no, no, somem, we
can't do that sort of stuff here. So I had
to get someone else to get them for me. And
I've used that one packet and I've got someone else
to get me another packet. Now I'm so well at
the moment, I'm almost forgetting to put the patches on.
(01:06:56):
That's how That's how much I've changed. So Saturday we.
Speaker 3 (01:07:00):
Did had something to do with a brain chemical cord,
a seata colne and a neurotransmitter which the Nick team
will dock onto. Apparently.
Speaker 9 (01:07:08):
Yeah, yeah, well it's yeah, sorry, sorry, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
That seems to be what the what the science is saying.
Speaker 9 (01:07:16):
It's totally taken away all my COVID symptoms. I'm you know,
I'd say the last last Saturday, I weeded five people
six people's borders along one street that one of my
neighbor's streets. The council apparently weeded them two weeks ago,
and I put a complaint into our council or a
rougher job that made. So they suggested that I try
(01:07:39):
and weed them myself and just see a good a job.
I got well out of five small ros garden frontages
along front of the houses, mostly got rentals in them
so that people don't do them anyway. I filled eight
or eight or nine ten liter buckets of weeds out
of this that the council had done there once a
year trip on two weeks ago.
Speaker 3 (01:07:58):
So it's taken. It's taken. It's taken away your desire
to smoke.
Speaker 9 (01:08:01):
You never smoked, No, I've never smoked since I was twenty. Wow,
I've been on them now six weeks. I have had
no side effects whatsoever.
Speaker 3 (01:08:09):
And are you saying smokers didn't get long COVID?
Speaker 9 (01:08:12):
There seemed to be this, this is what this guy
has based his research on. In America, A lot of heavy,
heavy smokers didn't get long COVID that's something that they've
picked out of research they're doing in America. I honestly,
I don't know what the connection is.
Speaker 17 (01:08:27):
But.
Speaker 3 (01:08:29):
It's a fairly safe drug to it's because, I mean,
anyway can get hold it's free available.
Speaker 9 (01:08:34):
Yeah, that costs are nothing if you can get it
from the gamist.
Speaker 3 (01:08:38):
And you could probably you could probably even vapor if
you wanted to.
Speaker 9 (01:08:41):
No, no, I don't want vape.
Speaker 3 (01:08:42):
I'm not, but you probably you probably could.
Speaker 9 (01:08:46):
I am so well at the moment, I'm actually forgetting
to put them on. I just don't even think about
them in the morning. I go Acquard jogging every morning
and they usually wash off, so I put another one on.
Speaker 3 (01:08:54):
But I get home and might be better off with
a vape because you're probably VA wouldn't be too don't
be too closed. You might enjoy it.
Speaker 9 (01:09:06):
No, no, no, no, I don't mind to.
Speaker 3 (01:09:08):
Oh that's good advice, Tom, that's really specific.
Speaker 9 (01:09:10):
I just I would love to be able to get
a hold of someone that's involved with those two women
and to see if they can it's worth a go.
I don't I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:09:17):
I mean, well, you've put it out there in the
eighth of someone will tell them. That's how talk bait works.
Speaker 9 (01:09:22):
Yeah, a week trying. I was going to ring you
and then I heard coming home.
Speaker 3 (01:09:28):
That's what's coming home from? What my bird meeting?
Speaker 9 (01:09:30):
That bird meeting here?
Speaker 3 (01:09:32):
Because what do I.
Speaker 9 (01:09:33):
Get involved with canaries? Well, that's another point. We had
a National bird Show and at the end of July
and judges get picked a year ago, which I was
picked to color of judge one section, and ten days
before the show, I was very very close to pulling out.
That's how I couldn't do it. But I decided to
pack up the carriage and just do it. It was
(01:09:54):
a restrained and I got there.
Speaker 3 (01:09:55):
Did they think you did? They think you had bird
fancy is lung?
Speaker 9 (01:09:59):
That's what the original diagnosis was, was the dust from
me get it from pigeons and chops, but you can't
get it from canaries. I did have fifty pair of them,
so you know I did a few of them. Yeah,
and I've said that we were a dust mash for
the last month anywhere near them.
Speaker 20 (01:10:13):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (01:10:14):
And it's not a hobby.
Speaker 3 (01:10:15):
When you do that, I tell you, Yeah, Oh you've
been toime. I've enjoyed you very much. I'm going to
move on but you've been illuminating, so I appreciate you.
Speaker 9 (01:10:21):
Yeah, I just hope that someone gets this mess. No
one get to people.
Speaker 3 (01:10:25):
I'm hearing you about that. You've said that too, that
we hope they get the message. So yeah, people have
really enjoyed you cracking cour cracking.
Speaker 9 (01:10:31):
Course, it's just changed dramatically.
Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
I don't with your weeding, your buckets of weed and
weeding areas. You've just done weeding and weeding the Edmund's garden.
Speaker 9 (01:10:39):
And wow, I mean I mowed ten lawns on another
other streets on Sunday afternoon, so you know front lawns,
and people were someone was a put high all there's
three burned houses down one side street that the council
don't even cut. The lawn in front of the lawn
was about a put high and two foot round the trees,
which I cut with the weed eater like a supply
weeks said, I put in the moment own front lawn.
Speaker 14 (01:10:59):
You know.
Speaker 9 (01:11:01):
That's that I don't know someone someone needs to get
out anyway, put that way and it's worth go cuting up.
And then I've been on six weeks now and it's
made no difference to me. No side effects whatsoever.
Speaker 3 (01:11:13):
Brilliant call Tom, Thank you for that. Fourteen to ten
twelve away from ten Peter, this is Marcus.
Speaker 17 (01:11:21):
Good evening, good evening, Marcus. Just quickly take you off.
Speak of there, Hey, you doing this evening?
Speaker 24 (01:11:26):
Good?
Speaker 17 (01:11:27):
Thank you well to tell you off, man Patton all
to tell you off. She said something that was silly
before tall poppy syndrome.
Speaker 3 (01:11:37):
I'm not I'm not quite here what you saying about tall.
Speaker 17 (01:11:40):
Poppy tall poppy syndrome. I don't want to say, yeah,
we are on, we're on. Yes, you mentioned tall poppy syndrome.
Speaker 3 (01:11:47):
A caller mentioned that, Yeah, you said.
Speaker 17 (01:11:51):
After the call and the kind of a summary you
were making, you were like, oh, it doesn't really exist
to it. You sort of dismissed it a little bit.
Speaker 3 (01:11:58):
I don't think I don't think there's any anything exceptional
in New Zealand's attitude of tall poppy syndrome. Yes, that's
what that's what I said, right.
Speaker 17 (01:12:06):
Well, I mean, you know, respectfully, I disagree. As a
tall puppy, I can tell you that the ever constant
pulled downwards we feel, and the looks you get as
you walk up as a beautiful tall puppy are just
very crushing, especially if it's a very emotional tall poppy,
you know what I mean, And so that can be quiet.
Speaker 3 (01:12:27):
Hang on, hang on, are you saying you're a tool poppy?
Speaker 24 (01:12:31):
Correct?
Speaker 17 (01:12:32):
Because my marks are above average in high school in
that regard, just in that regard, in every other regard
of the failure. But you know what I mean. Back
in high school, I had good grade, which made me
a tall poppy. Now I didn't even study. I just
was interested in the topics and therefore could remember.
Speaker 3 (01:12:50):
Oh, I don't think that's a tall poppy. Someone that's
done well in some exams. After a tool poppy was
someone that had kind of had been an all black
or a film star or something. Now I didn't realize
it was that general.
Speaker 24 (01:13:03):
Well it is.
Speaker 17 (01:13:04):
You see, it breaks down all the way from a
tall a tall black to an all black to a
silver firm.
Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
But people might have given you a hard time because
of your you know, not because of the fact that.
Speaker 17 (01:13:12):
You're absolutely absolutely I was a bit of an asshole. Yeah,
but being young and gifted, you sort of don't know
how to handle your own self.
Speaker 3 (01:13:22):
Yeah, it doesn't mean you behave badly.
Speaker 17 (01:13:25):
Well, I behaved in the way that I felt appropriate
though I was raised elsewhere imported here at the age
of seven or eight, the exact wrong time to import
a young human. And then that led to a difference
in standards that were in the Old country, Mattiga, in
terms of education and generally speaking lower here in New Zealand.
(01:13:45):
It's just by natural fact of coming from a more
highly educated society.
Speaker 3 (01:13:50):
I stood out, do you run the Are you involved
with a scroup that he was talking about? Do you
run this tall peppy tool poppy group?
Speaker 17 (01:13:57):
No, but I might have to go and join as
a member, definitely okay to be able to help lessen
that emotional load for some other person who isn't necessarily
a tall black or isn't necessarily a leading figure. And
I don't know the art or something, but it's just
like a leading figure in the community, and just to
(01:14:19):
tell them that, you know what, it is okay to
stick count a little bit, you know, to be locally famous.
Speaker 10 (01:14:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
I still don't think we have a problem with tool poppies.
But that's my take, Peter, but I appreciate your input.
Eight from ten. Oh my god, Marcus, this guy for real,
so not a tool poppy. Please can you advise the
product that guy's using due to having long covid nicotine patches?
A darry a day keeps the covid away. Brilliant advice.
(01:14:47):
Stop Oh please seend Tom around on EA my house
painted cracking coller. Tom should have run for counsel with
his gift for the jibbidjebber. I've ever seen a text
to you have such good use of the word jibbijebber.
Totally agree with a man sum up the Prime Minister
film I saw today, not just into fan whilst in Parliament,
(01:15:07):
but his review is exit worth the watch. What are
people who don't believe in Christmas is a holiday not
going to work because it's just another day for them?
Too many folks use Christmas and Easter's time for a
lazy day. Don't get me started. I'd rather work, but
there's nothing for me to do it. Christians have got
the shows. I want no public holidays. I don't you
(01:15:28):
set your public holidays when you want. I hate the
disruption of them. That's my take. Keep warm when it's
getting warmer, and keep cool when it's getting colder. That's
how I let my body get used to the weather.
I don't need to use the heater during winter or
fan during summer. I was at Hagley Park on Saturday,
ducklings everywhere. On a side note, the New Zealand park
(01:15:50):
run record was broken on Saturday Hagley Park run fourteen
minutes twenty five Are they all a set distance out?
They didn't know that about park runs. People love posting
about their park run on the internet, don't they. First
point In the last census in twenty twenty three, fifty
one point six reported no religion, thirty six percent being Christian.
Second point, we are a secular country, so why should
(01:16:11):
ads be banned Christmas Day? We don't ban ads during
Ramadan Marcus eighty five plus. I can't believe I've never
had a touch bedside lamp before. It's like new excitement
for me. But the best advice is fuel up on Thursday.
Whereas we say if you ot fuel up on Thursday.
(01:16:34):
The cricket, the one day cricket New Zealand Sri lank
has won the toss and they will bat starts in
half an hour. I'm just trying to see if I
can find the chart for the women's Terrible time for
us isn't it um women's and we haven't and we
(01:16:58):
haven't won any It's the fourth match we've played. We've
played three, sorry not two, and we've won one. We've
beaten Bangladesh. I think we need to win them all
now to go through. I think they heard the coach
saying you need to sort of get on a roll,
a cheese roll.
Speaker 20 (01:17:20):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:17:22):
A lot of pete seems to have got a lot
of response from people. I don't think that that was
a tall poppy.
Speaker 20 (01:17:28):
I don't even know.
Speaker 3 (01:17:29):
I just think probably every country in the world kind
of I mean, that's just jealousy, isn't it that there's
always people are jealous of people there successful, that's just
jealous of jealousy and envy. I think there's something extraordinarily
unique about tall poppies. I don't think it's true. Marcus.
Three pieces of advice I have heard. One for cramp,
(01:17:51):
rubbing the affected area of stores, circulation and consolve it.
Two the best sickness remedy for seasicknesses ginger role found
natural ginger. Three. Oh, that's about the people in Japan
that lived well sweet potatoes. So there we go. We're
talking about if you've got the advice for anyone. There's
(01:18:12):
a chance, and that's broad and wide ranging. If you've
got some advice, let's hear from you. And albino animals,
which is pretty interesting without amazing looking whale, mingaloo that's
been off CAUA coulda over the weekend THEI the tenth
that was the weekend, wasn't it, or that just before
(01:18:32):
the weekend. So it's also mingaloo and the supermarket in Rollaston.
And also I'm saying watch out there's a lot of
ducklings on the road at this time of the year.
That's what we are talking about. So you've got to
add that, or talk about nicotine for long COVID or
tall poppy syndrome. It's kind of got some interesting ideas
(01:18:53):
of flowing off these topics too, So if you want
to talk about this or anything else, that's a plan
for tonight. Eight hundred eighty ten eighty nine nine two
to text emailer from Adelaide. Love to catch up with
this bloke Tom. That's Kirka Adelaide here, that's Wendy and Adelaide.
(01:19:17):
We don't provide introductions to callers, but yeah, I think
people like Tom's energy. The other topic too is you
can now advertise on the TV and radio on Christmas Day,
so it'll make love actually longer. Yep, yep, we're about
(01:19:37):
tonight getting touch you onto any of these things. It's
all on people, and some discussion about the Chatham Islands
is a tourist destination. That's what. That's all the things
we've talked about so far tonight and tall poppies. Goodness,
it's the topics that's here from you. Don't all call
(01:19:58):
it once, actually you do all call it once. Let's
be hearing from you.
Speaker 15 (01:20:02):
Come on.
Speaker 3 (01:20:04):
Otherwise I'll tell you some other stuff that's happening and
try and bring news to you. But yeah, that's the
plan for night is to talk to you people about
what's going on. Particularly, got some advice for people yeph
eight hundred eight Tody and nineteen nine two to text.
Speaker 23 (01:20:22):
Right.
Speaker 3 (01:20:23):
Yes, you might be doing something else interesting tonight. By
the way, people are raving about the British series of
Celebrity Traitors. I've never watched it for a second, but
I might give that one a go. Yeah, yep, so
you want to talk about that. It's one of those
(01:20:45):
shows I think I'll give a watch too. Anyway, let's
hear from if you want to talk twelve past ten
oh eight hundred eight Teddy and nineteen nine to text.
I'll keep those texts coming through. And yeah, here we
go cruising till midnight. Thanks Tom. That was great. My
niece had pots from long COVID for three years. She
(01:21:07):
had to stop working ahead and when his us you
got COVID again and got her strength back and brain
foll gone. That's so interesting about patches, Marcus. It's megaloo,
not mingaloo. Thank you apologize was calling it mingaloo migaloo.
I think mingaloo sounds better. This should be respectful of
(01:21:27):
the language. I suppose mingaloo migaloo. And the giant pack
and save at Roliston people loving it? Is it twenty
four hour should be yep, getting touched Hittel twelve tonight.
This is Graham Hollow Grammont's Marcus welcome.
Speaker 8 (01:21:48):
Yeah good. I a bit of advice. I'm an saginaarian. Yes,
I got married in nineteen sixty two, and I said
the cold my wife in nineteen sixty three when we
would ask to come down to the road rude to
set up a operation for a firm I worked for,
(01:22:09):
and I said, we'll never see the bank manager. And
that's the best advice I ever gave to ourselves. Never
buy any money and you're not working your whole life
to pay the bank back.
Speaker 3 (01:22:23):
Great advice.
Speaker 8 (01:22:26):
So there you go.
Speaker 3 (01:22:27):
Does it hold your pick it all?
Speaker 9 (01:22:29):
Do it?
Speaker 3 (01:22:29):
Hold your pick it all?
Speaker 15 (01:22:30):
Graham?
Speaker 8 (01:22:31):
No, I ended up in sixty seven when I started
a business and turned over millions of dollars and did
pretty good. Really, but I worked my butt off.
Speaker 3 (01:22:46):
Was it forestry or trucking or what was that.
Speaker 8 (01:22:49):
In the construction game? Reinforcing fabrication?
Speaker 3 (01:22:52):
You good, and you're keeping well?
Speaker 8 (01:22:54):
Now well I'm When I was sixty two, my GP
said to me, because or levels out of shape, And
I said, oh yeah, what I would do it? He says,
more exercise. Exercise, said biking. So I took up biking,
and twenty six years later I'm still doing it.
Speaker 3 (01:23:14):
What sort of biking were?
Speaker 8 (01:23:18):
So there you go. So maybe somebody can do the
same forget them, get the damn banks and just a
bit of money and progress from there.
Speaker 3 (01:23:30):
Nice to hear from your grand great advice. Thank you said,
that's the way to do it. Spot on your life
advice Marcus advice I received how to join the migraine
Facebook group, take daily COQ ten health supplements to prevent migraines.
No idea how it works, but it does. I suffered
from migraines for years with regular episodes. If I only
had a couple of mic with the last twelve years months.
(01:23:52):
Celebrity trailers are the best. Definitely watch it, Pierce. I
love some advice for Skiertica if anyone has any. My
advice to New Zealand has turned down the volume when
they play the ads on Christmas Day, So any advice, advice, advice, advice?
What if your guy had changed your world changed someone
else's world. I'm always quite weary of people that give advice,
(01:24:16):
but I'm not as weary as that guy's. It's a
tooll pot. I shouldn't say that, but it just it
was a terrible start to recall with the tool because
for for a while, with a tall, poppy guy, I
thought he was the guy from that group the guy
talked about. I thought, hang on, and someone rang to
talk about your group. You gotta ring because sometimes people
get told by other people to ring and they come
and kind of half steam. Oh, yeah, are they talking
(01:24:37):
about that? But I couldn't work out what he was
on about, but it was his exam results. But when
he admitted to being kind of barely as a flip,
So yeah, old megelo, So yeah, advice, it's cheap and
it's pretty interesting, and also all those other topics we've
(01:25:01):
talked about tonight, So come on, Oh wait, tendred and
eight tenadian nine two nine to de text, So yes,
be good to hear from you if you do want
to talk about these things or anything else. Oh eight
hundred eighty ten eighty nine two nine two de text
(01:25:24):
advice and Migeloo and the Chathams and any other stuff
you want to chuck into your grab bag of telling
people how to live their lives. But gee, wasn't Colin
alive wire. I'd like to actually see a diagram of
how many launsy head mode. Seems like you'd been done
out half of christ Church. Unbelievable. Never met a guy
(01:25:46):
that's and all the canary breeding as well. Flip that
was interesting. Twenty past it's actually nineteen. It's actually twenty
past now, Helle Luiz, this is Marcus. Welcome.
Speaker 21 (01:26:04):
Oh hi, Marcus.
Speaker 8 (01:26:06):
Guy told him was interesting.
Speaker 21 (01:26:09):
Macatine patches. Who would have thought anyway, I hope that
gets around. I'll be telling my faghbor about it, because
she had long COVID. Anyway, advice the person who has sciatica. Well,
back in the mid nineties, I had bilateral sciatica, which
(01:26:31):
was absolute agonizing. So I went to an acupuncturist and
that was the end of the sciatica.
Speaker 3 (01:26:38):
I think, I say that was the end of the acupuncturist.
Speaker 21 (01:26:44):
And now I still get it occasionally, not like that,
and I go to an osteopath as well, or the acupuncturist,
one of the other, or both, and it definitely does work.
It's a horrible pain. Yeah, and albinism for some strained reasons.
When I was ten, our parents decided that we could
(01:27:08):
have guinea pigs, and I don't know why. Mother decided
that LB no guinea pigs, So we had albino guinea
pigs with pink eyes.
Speaker 3 (01:27:21):
Are people breeding albino guinea pigs?
Speaker 21 (01:27:24):
Well, they must have been, Yeah, Were they quite common?
Speaker 16 (01:27:29):
I don't know.
Speaker 21 (01:27:30):
I don't think they were.
Speaker 3 (01:27:31):
Actually, what did your parents assist on those?
Speaker 21 (01:27:35):
I don't know. I don't know. I have no idea
that my mother was a bit odd. I called mine
twinkle Toes and my sister called hers Tinker, and they
were supposed to be both females, but unfortunately Twinkle Toes
was a boy. So yeah, we had some baby guinea pigs.
Speaker 3 (01:27:56):
Good advice, Luise, Thank you? Was that advice on skeetic?
Your advice? Hello Susie, it's Marcus. Welcome.
Speaker 13 (01:28:03):
Hi Marcus.
Speaker 16 (01:28:03):
I watched it.
Speaker 13 (01:28:05):
We're not from Australia. Last Christmas I watched a lot
of episodes of The Trader and I absolutely loved it.
Speaker 3 (01:28:12):
So this British celebrity one is extremely good.
Speaker 13 (01:28:15):
Yeah, I've been watching that. I've got some of it tape.
But yeah, I have to watch it before Thursday and Friday.
Speaker 3 (01:28:20):
So if you watch it between third before Thursday and Friday.
Speaker 13 (01:28:26):
I take last Friday, so I've got to watch that
before the program starts again Thursday and Friday, which is
this week?
Speaker 3 (01:28:33):
Are you taping it on VHS?
Speaker 11 (01:28:36):
No?
Speaker 13 (01:28:37):
Just on my Sky?
Speaker 3 (01:28:38):
Okay, what channels it on?
Speaker 13 (01:28:42):
It is on three, Marcus on Thursday and Friday at
half ast seven?
Speaker 3 (01:28:49):
Is it TV and Z Plus?
Speaker 13 (01:28:53):
I go through Sky markers, but it's still still channel
three on Sky.
Speaker 3 (01:29:00):
Okay on TV three.
Speaker 25 (01:29:02):
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, but I loved it.
Speaker 4 (01:29:04):
I was.
Speaker 13 (01:29:05):
I was so into because the best friends place and
we would finally get who's going to get murdered? You
get right into it.
Speaker 3 (01:29:13):
So they only tell two people three people?
Speaker 11 (01:29:15):
Right?
Speaker 8 (01:29:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:29:17):
Do those do the three people? Do they who know
who the other two people are?
Speaker 5 (01:29:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 13 (01:29:24):
I think that's how it works. Yeah, but it's really
good because you don't they all come back in a
room at the end, and then if someone doesn't come
and you know they've been murdered.
Speaker 3 (01:29:37):
Come in to that. Okay, I'll watch that. Marcas, thank you,
thank you, thank you, Susie. Noel, this is Marcus. Welcome, Noel,
this is Marcus welcome.
Speaker 19 (01:29:51):
Okay, Marcus.
Speaker 5 (01:29:54):
I've been hearing the advertising chair moins.
Speaker 6 (01:29:58):
Yes, it sounds really lovely.
Speaker 14 (01:30:00):
Jenny, I want to take my family, Jenny.
Speaker 3 (01:30:08):
I think the flights there are quite expensive.
Speaker 5 (01:30:13):
Yeah, from walk into Wellingtons, from religions, yeah, the Chettams.
Speaker 18 (01:30:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:30:23):
Do you have me to find out how much it
is for a flight.
Speaker 9 (01:30:28):
Then?
Speaker 10 (01:30:29):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (01:30:30):
Book and manage book with confidence book now yeah, I'm
just trying to click the stupid system.
Speaker 23 (01:30:38):
Now now.
Speaker 9 (01:30:43):
From Auckland, I'm not going to.
Speaker 3 (01:30:46):
Do from Auckland. You have to work out it yourself, Okay,
all from Wellington. Yeah, I'm having a bit of trouble
with their clicking on their website. Let's say his book
and manage. But I haven't managed oh your book, flight schedules.
Let's just pick any o they do find fly from Auckland.
(01:31:10):
I don't know if they do, We'll go from wedding.
It's pretty complicated. I'll go to Wellington to the Chathams.
I've just picked any random day search.
Speaker 11 (01:31:21):
I'm talking about about a family of like five.
Speaker 3 (01:31:24):
Yeah, I'm just trying to put one. Takes an hour
and forty five. Yeah, I gotta put em. Yeah, it's
too complicated. Nod you through it yourself. I'll get someone
else to find out. I'll get someone that takes me
how much it cost you. I'll broadcast it to you. Noel,
(01:31:47):
but I think there's no Wally package deals. It coach
about two grand Laurie Marcus, welcome, Hi Marcus. Yeah, the
how much to the Chathams?
Speaker 10 (01:32:03):
How much? I don't know. I wasn't too sure if
they were chatterms the basin they were based in war.
But he went there, But they are you sure they're
flying from Willington or that's where.
Speaker 3 (01:32:19):
Always thought they that's where the women said they flew from. Okay, Yeah,
and I happy that I happy that the chatter was
with Well is they put with the page people for
the Chatham flight.
Speaker 9 (01:32:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (01:32:30):
I originally flew over there in a sudden and flying boat.
Wow back nineteen sixty nine, sixty three or sixty four.
Speaker 8 (01:32:37):
And it was from.
Speaker 10 (01:32:38):
Willington too, Yeah, at later of the lake, didn't it. Yeah,
that's right. Yeah, it took off from Evans Boy and Wonnington.
It was one of those magic days in Willington there
was it was like glass. They actually had to put
a boat out to make ripples on the on the
(01:32:59):
on the water so that the if the sunland could
take off.
Speaker 3 (01:33:03):
Pretty interesting.
Speaker 10 (01:33:04):
The sort of suction that you know, like I said,
did flat surface, so it has to have a certain
number of waves to be able to pull out.
Speaker 3 (01:33:13):
I imagine they did. The last of the commercial flying
boats routes would be the Chattermine one, wouldn't it, because
it took them a long time to get their runway going.
Speaker 10 (01:33:21):
Yeah, that's right. Yeah, it was getting towards the end
of things actually old Norman Kirk was on that flight too,
but it was I think they used to time that
just for the end of the secondary school. Yeah, boarding
kids are borning in New Zealand, that sort of wouldn't
get take them home. We were up there for three
months surveying with a lands and survey, so we went
(01:33:42):
up in the Sunderland and then come back on the
old home Burn. But I was interested to read just
recently that they they culled five than seven hundred wild
cattle on the Chathams.
Speaker 5 (01:33:56):
Wow, that seems a.
Speaker 3 (01:33:57):
Hell of a lot they did they did they bring them?
Did they freeze? What do they do with their meat?
Speaker 19 (01:34:01):
No?
Speaker 10 (01:34:02):
No, Well they haven't had a ship to be able
to bring them back, you know, even their own stock. Lately.
I think they've just got a new one nearly ordered
while sort of pretty close to being delivered. No, they
shot them and left them, it seems by helicopter it
said they what do they do? They rounded them up
(01:34:24):
so they weren't near any water courses and stuff like that,
to reduce and reduce any environmental impacts. Shot five thousand,
seven hundred and sixty two kettle three hundred and fifty six. Yeah,
and left them there. Hey, that's amazing.
Speaker 9 (01:34:43):
It was funded.
Speaker 10 (01:34:44):
Its funded by MPO. You know you've got to a
farm there, but you know what, five seven hundred cattle.
It looks like it's amazing.
Speaker 8 (01:34:53):
Hey.
Speaker 10 (01:34:54):
And so they said the operations to leave some of
the pressure facing the islands farmers will Hel's teeth.
Speaker 19 (01:35:01):
Which it's I've got it on.
Speaker 10 (01:35:05):
It's on a side at Chadom Islands Council. So it
was a news event. I just googled it.
Speaker 3 (01:35:12):
I had heard it all back and when when, how
does this happen?
Speaker 20 (01:35:17):
Well?
Speaker 10 (01:35:17):
This is this is last. The article was last updated
twenty fourth of July twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (01:35:24):
I want to go look at that, but thank you.
I can see something here. Five thousand and seven animals
cheap as creepers. I'm going to run for hits slurry.
But thanks so much for that. Hello. Bring to this
is Marcus. Welcome.
Speaker 7 (01:35:36):
You know Marcus. She's talking about flights to the Chat
of the AA. Yes, when I was a young bloke
back in the nineteen eighties, I've been there. Men to
make Minney one we slew. I want a plane called Agracy.
I think it was before that they had a plane
called a Bristol. But we've been on an legacy. I
(01:35:57):
mean Shan from Napia. We lived in hawks that at time.
When I came back, we both came back and my
femmine over there, great Mashine on the boat, mister job.
I was there a couple of years later, and she
just a flight from me with this guy's plane. I
don't know what's what a planet was, but it was
quite big and he just dropped me off. I'm gonna
(01:36:19):
droped off the nape the year caught and he says,
I mid the sky and he's off. We had to
loads this plane and the doors of the plane, but
I assumed there was the doors up the front as well.
He made a door the tailing. She will step the
boxes and looking back in hindsight, I don't think this
guy knew how much each box plade would pray. Of course,
(01:36:40):
waits a big things that used to know all the
way to the plane. But we threw all the stuff
on and I through my diving gear on and my gear.
This just makes you leave a bit of a space
down the side of the hue. Large every can fall down. Okay,
Then as I was the last box and he said, well,
you've got to fall down the shoes that I had to,
which we did it. There was no doors in the
cook the only doors at the back of the plane.
(01:37:02):
We crawled down the shoes large and we climb over
the seat and we're sitting there and then it is
off and we looked like that over off apia and
then we saw were looking at the axe had an
ax with a spike up the back and the opposite
the cane news and then he asked, you're looking at
the ax. Yeah, and it says that's in case we
have to ditch it in the sea, we need to
(01:37:23):
be able to smash the windows to get out of it.
But anyway, we made it to the chatter, so that
was like, yeah, that was one here raising flight, but
it was a very flight down. I was on a
young bloke out the big.
Speaker 16 (01:37:34):
Adventure and so that was and it didn't cost me
anything because it was And.
Speaker 3 (01:37:38):
How long you spending the Chettem's there, El Brent.
Speaker 7 (01:37:41):
I spent several months commercial power diving mostly and and
we worked for a bit of time working for a
guy who had the only commercial kray diving license. Okay, yeah,
and we dived for Craze as well. Everyone out on
the pops, but we dive for power and Craze and
(01:38:04):
I spent several months there and made end up staying there.
But she was a great adventure when I was a
young bloke.
Speaker 3 (01:38:10):
So do you see any shopping?
Speaker 16 (01:38:13):
Wow?
Speaker 7 (01:38:14):
No, I knew, and I don't think anyone. I can't
remember anyone talking about until years later I come back
and then I would have one or two guys get
the tech fighter and I was thinking, oh, steevee day.
There could have been enough, you know. Yeah, But no,
there wasn't the time, so but yeah, but consequent years
there were guys who got attacked. But but maybe I
(01:38:37):
could set this a little bit. There was some guy
flying out crayfish tales, if you know what I mean,
on the side, and that was a bit of a king.
Speaker 19 (01:38:47):
That was going on.
Speaker 16 (01:38:49):
That was years ago.
Speaker 7 (01:38:50):
That was the probably not happening now or definitely not
happening now. That was one of the things. That was
a guy at a small plane. And there was people
doing all sorts of things back in those days.
Speaker 3 (01:39:01):
And then for a while there was the orange ruffy
boom wasn't there until they realized that hundred years to
grow old.
Speaker 7 (01:39:08):
I didn't know much about that idea. What do you
know about was that there was one day that they
they had some guys had a permit for dridging scollops
and they made a fortune and then the scripts were
all gone. They just pushed it out. Yeah, so it's
just a whore. I guess. There's a big money for
fish and chatterm Islands is crawling with wildlife and stuff.
(01:39:33):
As soon as the money gets involved, there are men
that do all sorts of those you thinks to make
a dollar and crazy things. And yeah, that was my
young agreen Today's and going to the chattels.
Speaker 3 (01:39:44):
Did you weak? Did you weat waker?
Speaker 7 (01:39:48):
We did what we did because you're allowed to hunt
them over there, and you grown at night time. And
this guy we knew had a golden lab that would
run around and chase them and grab them and bring
them back to you. But they're alive and you can,
but you can't ring their necks like a chruck because
they're next are strong, So you've actually got to put
(01:40:09):
them between the legs and ring their neck like they're
screwing the nut on the box. But they sounds of
the crudd But that's what I had to do. And
then you till you're being your workers fame when you
boil them up. And you bought them up with ketam
and water crests, and the creeps over there run a
heat tree color. They look like tea because it's got
the peat. Most of the kid of mines are heat moss,
(01:40:32):
and the and the creeks of their tea color. They
still drink the water. It's still fine, but it's just
like and they had the watercress ground and you ball
up some some workers and put some water cress and
some spugs on top of the.
Speaker 3 (01:40:45):
Great sounds delicious. It sounds delicious. Sounds delicious.
Speaker 7 (01:40:51):
Yeah. One hundred wild peaks and wild Spanish merino sheep
they were from. There were a Spanish marino wild sheep
and good inking the any sweet mutton wild sheep, and
they had these ram horns on them, and then the Spanish.
Three hundred Spanish marinos, wild cattle and wild pigs were
sort of if you're into all thats of the stuff,
(01:41:12):
it's a great life.
Speaker 3 (01:41:14):
It's a great I've endured your stories, Brent, and you
tell them very well. What year was it you were there?
Speaker 7 (01:41:20):
Nineteen eighty three four around there.
Speaker 3 (01:41:25):
Okay, it's a good story. Brent liked all of it.
Thank you, Free well told to twenty three to eleven
Noel Auckland to Chathams, Auckland to Chathams, eight seventy seven,
return eight hundred and seventy seven. Returned for an adult
Ben Marcus. Good evening, Oh, good evening.
Speaker 8 (01:41:45):
How you doing good?
Speaker 3 (01:41:46):
Thank you Ben?
Speaker 18 (01:41:48):
Oh it's good. You sound good to know.
Speaker 3 (01:41:52):
Oh, thank you, Ben. Appreciate that I.
Speaker 18 (01:41:56):
Was calling back when I heard you needed like advice
or anything.
Speaker 3 (01:42:01):
You know, that's been the theme as people's advice, any
general advice you got for people specific advice more so,
what is it? Yep, that's right.
Speaker 18 (01:42:10):
Oh well, you know basically you know how advice is.
Nobody actually listens to it. But I do have a
lot of advice. It depends on what kind of you
would like.
Speaker 16 (01:42:22):
What have you got?
Speaker 18 (01:42:24):
Oh well, you know I can give the basic advice like,
for example, you know, for the for the men, if
you should always if a woman looks like she's put
if it's doing it here, you should always say nice here, okay,
and just that small thing that'll make her happy. But yeah,
(01:42:45):
like any any kind of advice.
Speaker 3 (01:42:48):
You know, have you got like advice about cars or
petrol or hardware or do gardening or fitness?
Speaker 18 (01:42:58):
Yeah, which kind religion? That's that's that's a bit of
an intense one.
Speaker 3 (01:43:06):
Well you must be some specific advice you've had, you've learned,
hang about that's one of my life.
Speaker 18 (01:43:11):
I can give. The advice about religion is as to
an example. But yeah, it's a very it's a very intense.
It's a very intense topic. So you should never what's
it called if somebody is you should never what it
called question someone's religion, their beliefs, you know, get very angry.
And my advice is to people is to not like,
(01:43:34):
you know, to not you know, challenge or like say
you're delusional or anything about.
Speaker 3 (01:43:42):
I don't know if most women would agree with your
hair advice.
Speaker 18 (01:43:46):
Oh no, they do. It's experience not not just like normally.
Speaker 3 (01:43:50):
Well I think probably, I think probably. Often people don't
like to be industry commented on by the appearance.
Speaker 18 (01:43:57):
No, no, no, But it's at the end of the conversation, right,
you've got to you should live at a perfect moment.
And it's only of course if that she looks like
her here she but if them is doing her here?
Speaker 3 (01:44:08):
Right, is this someone you're in a relationship with or anyone?
Speaker 5 (01:44:14):
No?
Speaker 18 (01:44:14):
No, no, it's just any of women in general.
Speaker 3 (01:44:17):
No, I don't think this is god ben Oh my bad?
Speaker 18 (01:44:20):
Well the here it should be commented on, if you
know they put if it's something good to tell them.
Speaker 3 (01:44:31):
Yeah, okay, well we'll park that one. But I appreciate
your gusta and coming through with that bend. I'm liking that.
Thank you.
Speaker 20 (01:44:38):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:44:39):
Eighteen to eleven, sixteen to eleven, Hello, Logan.
Speaker 5 (01:44:45):
I'm Marcus. I'm growing some tomato plants. I wonder if
anyone's got any tips on some good tomato plants.
Speaker 3 (01:44:53):
So you want tips on the crops, the type to buy,
or how to grow them? Well, how to grow them?
Speaker 5 (01:44:58):
Well that this kind of story or the fertile eyes
of Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:45:01):
Yeah, well, people are nuts on tomatoes, I know, aren't they?
Kind of the trouble with tomatoes is once you start
growing them and they go really well bye about that stage,
we've got a dollar a kilo at the supermarket.
Speaker 5 (01:45:15):
Yeah, well, I'm trying to save some money on the supermarket.
I'm going to grow some carrots and some potatoes.
Speaker 3 (01:45:19):
Maybe yeah, they'd be a good thing to do. Carrots
take a long time and parsley pasty grows itself.
Speaker 5 (01:45:28):
Well, I know, I'm trying to find out the right
time of year because I've never grown a garden before.
Like I'm a musician, I've never really grown like I've
been in the bands. I've never really been into the
garden before in my first year. So I'm just wondering
if anyone's got any tips on what on the year
it is to grow tomatoes.
Speaker 3 (01:45:46):
Just so we know, Logan wa'ts your watch your latitude?
Which part of the country are you in?
Speaker 5 (01:45:51):
I'm in Canterbury Crost here at central Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:45:53):
Okay, you've got a good bit of soil I've.
Speaker 5 (01:45:56):
Got I bought some soil from the from the miny
ten w.
Speaker 3 (01:46:01):
But you've got a bit of a section, have you.
Speaker 5 (01:46:03):
I've got a little bit of backyard, it's got a
little bit of sun. Good done.
Speaker 3 (01:46:08):
Are you not doing a tunnel house?
Speaker 5 (01:46:11):
I make sure looking at growing building in my own greenhouse.
Actually got some pellettes from from my work that I
can get some some palettes, you know, the old shippable pellets,
And I'm about to grow some tomatoes and some all
sorts of good stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:46:27):
Okay, keep listening, Thank you, Hello, Richard.
Speaker 24 (01:46:32):
Two pieces of advice, and I'm just a ben fan
of a fan of his. I think that if you've been, honestly,
if you've been going out for a woman for any
length of time.
Speaker 3 (01:46:43):
He didn't say it's going out with I think was anyone.
Speaker 24 (01:46:46):
Yeah, that's true, But I'm just putting it back to
if you're in a relationship and you have seen your
you haven't complimented the woman on her here, you're missing out.
Speaker 3 (01:47:00):
Okay.
Speaker 24 (01:47:01):
The second one is, I don't know, this would probably
be not really the younger crowd. Thing I hope it
would be, is open the door for your for your woman.
When letter into the car, it's difficult, more difficult to
let them out because they generally if you try to
go and let them out of the car, they're already gone.
(01:47:23):
They're already opening the door themselves.
Speaker 3 (01:47:26):
No one's waiting these days for the door to be opened.
Speaker 24 (01:47:29):
When you escort the woman to the caver, it's a
perfect opportunity.
Speaker 3 (01:47:34):
To compliment her here.
Speaker 24 (01:47:36):
And open the door for her.
Speaker 3 (01:47:38):
Kay. Is it your advice from your life? Richard?
Speaker 24 (01:47:43):
There's just two pieces, yes, thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:47:47):
Twelve to eleven, so here we are once again. It's
ten to eleven. Sri Lanka are fourteen without loss your
bits of advice people, and I found it. I found
what is interesting is the woodth of the advice. But
the thing you could bring advice about. You could ring
advice about anything in the world. But some people ring
so they want to talk about company women on here.
(01:48:09):
I mean that does sound real old school, doesn't it. Yeah,
get in touch, that's what we're about tonight. Marcus still
here till till then? Oh wait, eight hundred and eighty
ten eighty um, get in touch. Heat only end midnight. Oh,
there's a bit of traffic around. There's a traffic news too.
(01:48:29):
I presume the State highy one south of Water is
now open. If not, it would be about to be
happened quite soon. But around Taranaki that's a different story.
North out of Taranaki and also the Fongermommeter road are
closed and the road from Piopio down to Tomat de
Nui is closed, so it's not good all around there.
It's free floody around Awaquino, so yeah, a lot of water.
(01:48:51):
I'm sure you truckies will know that by now. But
you're not going anywhere tonight be a long way round too,
so if you've got some tales about that also, but
mainly a bit of advice. That's the bit the nuts
and bolts for tonight. So I have you've got advice?
Speaker 11 (01:49:04):
What is it?
Speaker 3 (01:49:08):
It's all interesting, even the stuff they think, gee, I'm
not doing that. It's interesting that someone that would think
that was advice. So plan for tonight people, Marcus till twelve,
get in touch eight hundred eighty eighty nine two de text.
Anything different you've got, I'm here for you for that.
(01:49:29):
So yes, let's be hearing for your people. Also talking
about the Chatham Islands and albinism and animals like all
those albino sheep. Someone else's joke. I quite liked it.
Come on. The other subtopic was they can now on
(01:49:51):
Christmas Day there will be ads on the TV. Marcus.
My husband holds a door open for me when we
go places. I hate it because I have to walk
in first and look lost and stupid. I think that's
the whole plan for males with it. Ben and Richard
(01:50:13):
to peas in a pod. Hi, Marcus, here's a bit
of random car advice. Never overfill your fuel tank. Once
it clicks it full, that's it. Lots of people top
it right up and this can flood the vapor chamber,
permanently ruining it. This will cause a constant spill of
Fuman calls you to use more fuel. Well, I'm a
woman who would say thanks off, I was complement on
(01:50:33):
my hair. It's not appropriate for a stranger to do that, though,
Ben is the tall poppy of advice. I should have
asked old tall poppy Tom someone for some advice. Christ
Judge to Chatham's nine eight seven one way. My sonboards
(01:50:54):
and christch and quite a few of his friends in
the hostel love and the chatterms. My son wants to
visit in January holidays. I think I'd rather go to
Fiji for the same price. Marcus talking about ducklings. I'm
about to get Indian runner ducklings and was wondering if
any duck loving listeners had the advice or warnings. Could
someone talk tell me about Indian runner ducklings. I've never
(01:51:15):
heard of them. Marcus each Adam flights four three five
each way from Hamilton Beautiful spot book. Now someone's got
to pay for the Indies and CEO salary. It's not
in that run there though it's a separate airline. I
don't know anything about Indian runner ducklings of friendly look
(01:51:37):
that up. But I'd like some of you to let
me know about that Indian runner ducklings. Maybe I've seen
them in kids' stories. Anaha. They're like penguins. They stand
erect and rather than walking or flying, they run. I
(01:52:00):
think they come from the islands of Lombock, Java and
Bali rather Balinese. I'll read more about that, Mett. This
is Marcus Welcome.
Speaker 19 (01:52:14):
Evening. I found it quite interesting about the whale down
near Yeah. Wow, yeah, it reminded me of maybe Dick.
So I looked at up and what was it just
a myth? But it was based on a real story
on Mocher Dick and that's unkle whaling ship. Yeah, and
(01:52:36):
apparently the survivors had to resort to cannibalism to survive.
So wow, that's pretty interesting. But yeah, I've only ever
seen one whale when it was a dead one and
Jesus stunk you could smell it a mile before you
even got to it.
Speaker 3 (01:52:52):
But I haven't I haven't read Moby Dick. Is there
a white whale in it? Or a mythical white whale?
Speaker 11 (01:52:57):
Is that right?
Speaker 2 (01:52:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 19 (01:53:00):
Yeah, some sperm whale in the story. I've only seen
it in a movie, but just made me think of
it because you're, you know, the old white whale. So yeah,
just based on a true story.
Speaker 3 (01:53:12):
They say there's only four of them to be knowing
in existence.
Speaker 19 (01:53:17):
Oh yeah, that's as far as we've been watching, I suppose.
But there's something you sort of know, well, who knows
what's under the water we you know, or out in
the middle of the ocean. But just a bit of advice.
Always check on your quiet mates.
Speaker 3 (01:53:36):
Great thing to say, right, cheez everyone and met can
I also say, yeah, always check on your noisy mates too.
Speaker 19 (01:53:48):
We'll just check on your mates because it might be
a cry.
Speaker 3 (01:53:50):
For help too. The noisy ones sometimes aren't the ones
expected are struggling. They might be the good ones that
are masking it, you know. So yeah, I'm liking what
you've got to say.
Speaker 24 (01:54:01):
The Matt.
Speaker 3 (01:54:03):
So it's a humpback. It's a humpback Migueloo to white
albino humpback. It's been around since nineteen ninety one. There
are only four nine white hump baked whales in the world.
That's a Mergaloo. Oh, you'd write a kid's book about that,
wouldn't you if you want of those kids. Everyone's writting
a kid's book these days, aren't there. Oh hello, he
said Megaloo. Oh wish I go today, said Megaloo. You're
(01:54:28):
gonna have a lesson and a moral and a kid's
book these days, don't you. Oh, I said Megaloo. Maybe
Migaeloo could go and see the albino penguin. I'm white too,
said Migaloo. Wah, said the penguin, thinking might be on
to something here, Migaloo and the penguin. It was a gentoo.
(01:54:50):
Migaloo and the gentoo. In the meantime, we're talking about advice.
If you got some advice, we're here for it. Of course,
it's not compulsory to take it. But yeah, I'm finding
this free interest in getting touch. Oh eight hundred and
eighty ten eighty Pam, This is Marcus. Welcome, Good evening, Illo, Marcus.
Speaker 25 (01:55:09):
I've got some advice. If you're at the right age
and stage and you're thinking about moving into a retirement village,
don't hesitate, put your house on the market, get it sold,
get into the village and enjoy a sociable like life
with other like minded people close by, but live independently
(01:55:33):
in your own villa.
Speaker 3 (01:55:35):
A great piece of advice. I've often wondered about that.
Did you time it, rite, Pam?
Speaker 10 (01:55:42):
Well?
Speaker 25 (01:55:43):
Yes, I lost my husband and I'm in christ Church
and I used to get into bed at night and say,
please God, no, where's quake tonight? Nobody to be with me?
And I thought right, And I've been to boarding school
for five years. I know how to rub along with
other people and it's just a great life.
Speaker 21 (01:56:05):
I'm really auio.
Speaker 3 (01:56:07):
And what age did you make that decision, Pam?
Speaker 25 (01:56:11):
I was about seventy seven, okay, yeah, and I'm eighty
four now.
Speaker 3 (01:56:18):
Oh great, okay, so they've had seven years of enjoying that.
That's great.
Speaker 12 (01:56:23):
Yes, yes, And.
Speaker 25 (01:56:26):
I mean they say, oh, you lose money when you
move out what you do, But my kids don't care.
They just want me to be happy. And you don't
owe your kids money anyway you are you or you
owe your children is your education. If you've educated your kids,
say can make their own way.
Speaker 3 (01:56:46):
Brilliant, great advice.
Speaker 10 (01:56:47):
Pam.
Speaker 3 (01:56:47):
I like the way you've said that. That's fantastic. Now
into it, what evening, Graham? Welcome, Yeah, I thought.
Speaker 20 (01:56:55):
Fear five words of vice from my favorite Bordhist press.
So I met him three times now and he's passed
through and he's in a few times. All human life
is precious. From the Delai Lama himself.
Speaker 3 (01:57:13):
Did you say you've met him?
Speaker 20 (01:57:16):
I've met him three times. Well on his illness soil.
He's a wonderful guy. And he had his ninetieth birthday
about two months ago, so he's still chugging along. Wonderful guy.
Speaker 3 (01:57:28):
And what does that mean? Human life is precious. Most
people would know that, wouldn't they.
Speaker 20 (01:57:36):
He goes to a deeven that he's the guy who
doesn't have much so say for himself, but what he
can say a lot with very little. And it's always
stuck with me. All human life is precious.
Speaker 3 (01:57:49):
Thank you, Graham. Advice for us, keep it going eleven eleven.
Mine name is Marcus Hettle twelve. Finding this interesting, he texted,
thro will call it both are good, each are good.
All are good. Both are good. Like the way people
are saying with different voices and things. Does anyone know
if State one between Calculta and pick And is open. Dan,
we think it is, don't we. Dan's looking agree with Pam.
(01:58:11):
Life wonderful, no worries in a retirement village. Love your show.
Karen Marcus cure to Marcus, look forward to the Megaloo
and the White Penguin book on tape. Marcus absolutely wrapped.
The State of Origin he's in has finally caught traction
in recent years. Hasn't officially been announced, but twenty twenty
seven is the year for State of Origin to be
played at Eden Park. The deal is backed by funding
(01:58:34):
from Inded Government and Auckland Tourism. Seventy million from the
Endied government, five million from tourism. Knowing how patient you
seem to become about rugby league in recent years, I'm
pretty sure tickets will set out in the first hour
once released. Can't wait Cheese at Lenox. Although I'd say
that it's funny stuff for the government to be doing.
(01:58:55):
They're still around State Hiway one still closed. Last update
eleven eight pm. Get in touch. Someone has said there's
a guy who bought a Chinese made dodge ramits on YouTube.
(01:59:15):
I hope the Chinese made fairies are made better. The
funny our deal, the Chinese fairy deal. I don't really
want to talk about that. It's all a bit depressing.
But they we're spending seven hundred per fairy, I think
to get worse fairies in the two we ordered for
five point fifty million total for both supers. Marcus, I
(01:59:39):
agree with Pam moving into Somerset retirement villages. The bustiness
to my husband I ever made. I was seventy nine
hour eenty three. Loved the life, living the dream statehowa
one is still closed, no sign of opening. Get in touch.
Saw large flocks of running ducks and corn were amazing
to watch. Dan Rey upright, thank you so much for
(02:00:02):
recently letting your listeners know how to cook the top
of a trumpet, cook and toaster as usual, then place
crumpet horizontally on top of the toaster and cook again.
So easy, and I've waited eighty two years for this advice.
Have just said two crumpets cooked this way while listening
to you love your show Railing no longer. I learned
about no dig gardening from watching Shadow diy so Gilgrim
(02:00:23):
found it's a thing. Having had a knee replacement. No
digging was up my alley, put my garden four weeks
ago and now starting to pick the spinach, lay, cardboard,
damp and sprinkle fertilizer, compost plant plant, Good luck, Marcus.
Funny story. My friend Phila thinks I'm in love with
you because I've called you a few times and she's
heard me. Last week and I turned six and he
guess what, She gave me a T shirt that said
(02:00:44):
I heart Marcus. Secretly, I think it's too who loves you?
I just I Please, please send a shout out to
Phill appears from Willington. Goodness is good to come on
more advice because the great thing about some advice is
some of it is pretty wacky doodle. Good thing about radios,
(02:01:05):
we don't have to compliment. Peace, Oh can on your voice?
Can't you get in touch? Hittll twelve eight hundred and
eighty ten eighty fourteen past eleven, anyway, do get in touch?
Do you want to talk anything else? You want to mention?
(02:01:28):
Here for you? Fifteen past eleven. Yeah, Greg, this is Marcus. Welcome.
Speaker 11 (02:01:39):
Yeah again Marcus. So I was making a late night
snack and you put out a call for you know
people to ring in about roads and so.
Speaker 17 (02:01:48):
Forth, and.
Speaker 11 (02:01:51):
This is about the Alacuino Gorge.
Speaker 16 (02:01:53):
And I heard on you.
Speaker 11 (02:01:55):
Stik said be Eli today how it was closed by
a slips and it reminded me of the fact that
I used to travel regularly from Allln Tahawa and you
would go through the al Gorge and my mom hated
that road with a passion, with the windiness. And in
(02:02:17):
the late eighties my dad topped the family fleeing myself
with my mother and my brother's on a trip through
the gorge and he didn't put enough petrol in the car.
So on a Friday night, very late, very dark, our
Austin MAXI ran out of fuel and my basically my mum,
(02:02:42):
I'm sorry. My dad had to walk up a farmer's
road per knock on a door, late at night and
big petrol and my mom was so filthy on him
and me and my brothers were in the back of
the car just wondering what the hell was going to happen.
(02:03:03):
And yeah, just like a momentum memory story.
Speaker 3 (02:03:09):
Yeah tough, your father, What was it like late at night?
Speaker 11 (02:03:15):
I'm going to my memory is ten permish. But the
thing was there was. It was darkness, there was no lights,
and it would be like that now that you know,
it's not there's no street lights or anything. And I
maybe now would be a bit more hairy for the
farmer's point of view, like who's coming up my driveway? Mate?
Speaker 7 (02:03:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 17 (02:03:39):
Yeah, you know, but.
Speaker 24 (02:03:42):
Yeah, it was, it was.
Speaker 11 (02:03:44):
It was an interesting moment in time. And I always
remember the gorge and you have Mount Messenger and there
was a couple of tunnels that used to go as well.
Speaker 3 (02:03:55):
Yes, and there's still one tunnel. There's still a tunnel
on Mount Messenger, so there's still one.
Speaker 24 (02:03:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (02:04:00):
And and and another memory is when you're hitting south
you hit Mocow and you see the coast for at
the top of the Taranaki coast. Yeah, and it's it's
quite it's very wild. I'm from Auckland and we you
know near Away and so forth is quite wild. But
once you hit that part, yeah, it's just really film
(02:04:22):
and it's just a I've got a couple of brothers
and it's just one of our enduring memories, I guess
is heading down that way.
Speaker 3 (02:04:30):
To Terran We has some great family road trips down
through there with all sorts of benches and things going
wrong and stuff.
Speaker 20 (02:04:35):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (02:04:35):
It's a great road.
Speaker 11 (02:04:37):
Yeah, yeah, indeed so no just picked my memory today
hearing that it was closed and there was no like
it was no traffic, and I think the NCTA said, like,
no details neither, but nothing can come true.
Speaker 3 (02:04:52):
Nice to hear from your Greek. Thanks so much that
we're talking advice, and some of it's been very very good.
If you've got some, let's be hearing from you people.
Marc as still twelve eight hundred eight the text If
you want to talk, yep, come on, what have you got?
(02:05:13):
Anything else you want to mention? You can mention. Let's
be hearing from you. There's anything else you want to
talk about you? We are here for you for that,
mainly advice, but with other stuff too. We can handle it.
I can handle it, you can handle it. We can
handle it. Nine nine is the text number, but eight
hundred eighty eighty Tim Beverage along from twelve. None of
(02:05:38):
the advice has been too sketchy, which is good, which
I'm liking. But yeah, what have you got people? Advice?
Twenty one past eleven, Hello, Lisa, this is Marcus. Good evening.
Speaker 23 (02:05:54):
Sure the Marcus, how are you doing?
Speaker 3 (02:05:55):
Sure, Lisa, good?
Speaker 18 (02:05:56):
Thank you.
Speaker 23 (02:05:59):
First thing, the Wahina who does the news, she has
the most soothing voice, and I love when she makes mistakes.
That makes my heart smile at his human.
Speaker 3 (02:06:07):
Smile And your voice too, hasn't she You.
Speaker 15 (02:06:09):
Can, yeah, you can hear it.
Speaker 23 (02:06:11):
And there was a musician who wanted to do a
garden down in Canterbury. There might be maybe have a
look at some community gardens that might be in a area. Yeah, ide,
there are some really good people who do that. But
the pieces of advice I wanted to share are so
there's a really good way of getting a dopamine hit
that actually serves you. When you complete a circuit of anything,
(02:06:34):
you get a dopamine hat at the completion. So it
could be something like making a cup of coffee, getting
the cup, making the coffee, drinking it, and then doing
the dishes and putting it away as a complete circuit.
It's completely up to you what their circuit looks like.
But when you complete it, you get a dopamine hit
from it. Okay, I use it in the social services
(02:06:57):
arena when someone's talking to me about things they don't
finish and helping them to see a way to finish
it open space when they do to do other things.
Speaker 3 (02:07:10):
You don't need to make wash the you wash you
obviously you wash your coffee once you've drunk it, right, Yeah, Okay,
I'm trying to work this one out.
Speaker 23 (02:07:18):
Yeah. It depends on you and what you determine is
the circuit. It might not be doing the dishes and
put in the back. It might just be getting out
of bed, having that coffee and then putting that cup
somewhere like putting it away and then doing the thing.
It's up to you what the circuit is.
Speaker 3 (02:07:36):
Okay, black a lot, Lisa, Thanks very much for that.
Speaker 23 (02:07:38):
There we go.
Speaker 3 (02:07:38):
Twenty three past eleven. Dave Marcus, Welcome.
Speaker 19 (02:07:42):
Good Marcus.
Speaker 10 (02:07:43):
Some advice.
Speaker 14 (02:07:44):
I had some aluminium faded aluminium joinery on my windows
and ranch slider done by Restoral Systems, and Jesus came
up a treat. I had a dark matte black color
and it came up from pretty faded aluminium to pretty good.
I advise getting it done. I'm happy I did.
Speaker 3 (02:08:04):
I never thought of doing that. So the aluminum at fight.
Speaker 14 (02:08:08):
Well, it was sort of faded and jaded almost you
know what I mean. It's sort of like I had lost.
Speaker 3 (02:08:16):
Its shine or did it come about the mat headed all?
I was trying to.
Speaker 14 (02:08:20):
Say exactly, and I had restoral systems had to go
at it. And I'm thinking about having my garage door
done too, because it's one of those foldable types and
it's a little bit the same. And since I've done
such a good finished job on my joinery, I'm thinking
of having that done as well. So I advised getting
(02:08:41):
that done. I've come up a treat and they've done
pretty well by me.
Speaker 3 (02:08:45):
What did you google up to find out who to
do it?
Speaker 10 (02:08:49):
There's word of.
Speaker 14 (02:08:49):
Mouth that I got and I walk with them and
fairly reasonable and it came up a million bucks. I'm
pleased to I had it done. And it's called restore all,
restore restore all systems, and I think it google able
or search all.
Speaker 3 (02:09:09):
And what did they what did they? Did they just
painted or did they send it.
Speaker 11 (02:09:12):
Back or yeah?
Speaker 14 (02:09:14):
I think Look, I didn't pay much attention because I'm
a bit of a painter myself, and I don't think
I could paint that because our a minium and steel
that sort of thing. I think it's a special type
of a product. That's applied. I should have paid perhaps
more attention. But anyhow, when I got home, I was
very happy with the finished Marcus. Okay, they would tell
(02:09:35):
you more than what I can, even though I am
a bit of a while more of a artistic painter,
but I can paint interiors. But I'm saying, no, I
think that's especially.
Speaker 3 (02:09:47):
I found it. It's R E.
Speaker 10 (02:09:49):
S T O R A L.
Speaker 3 (02:09:51):
Faded aluminum windows and door restoration.
Speaker 24 (02:09:55):
There you go.
Speaker 3 (02:09:56):
They didn't take the doors off, did they.
Speaker 14 (02:09:58):
No, I don't believe so, Marcus.
Speaker 3 (02:10:01):
They did it at your house, Yes, and set you
so it's like a powder coating or something.
Speaker 4 (02:10:08):
Yes.
Speaker 14 (02:10:10):
Yes, it's a type of finish that I could not
get myself.
Speaker 3 (02:10:14):
Brilliant. Okay, that's excellent, excellent, that's from the mist advice.
I've heard people be thinking, gee, I need to do that,
Steve Marcus, welcome.
Speaker 8 (02:10:21):
Oh, I guess.
Speaker 2 (02:10:24):
But off the topic, I was wanting to bring up
the use of tramadol. Yes, there seems to be a
bit of a backlash against the use of it these days.
I had a major operation about ten years ago and
(02:10:46):
was put onto it straight out to the operation and
used it for a number of years. It allowed me
to get almost my life okay on the constant ain
(02:11:06):
than the berries, and to certain degrees. I'm sort of
wondering maybe if you've got any listeners out there then
have had other experiences with it. For me, it worked
really well and they actually got me up in the
mornings and I could go for walks and so forth.
(02:11:28):
Yet now I can't get it because I've had different doctors. Unfortunately,
I haven't been able to get a single doctor, you know,
like ongoing, and you go to different ones and one
will say yes and the other will say no, and
the last one that I've had as no. So over
(02:11:53):
the last four months my health has gone down because
I don't have the ability to go for the walks
that I was going for because I was using trambadel.
Speaker 20 (02:12:07):
I just wonder.
Speaker 2 (02:12:09):
If you've got any of the listeners out there. Like
I said, it worked for me, It picked me up,
it got me tod.
Speaker 3 (02:12:16):
Did they stop Did they stop prescribing it because I
thought you were dependent?
Speaker 2 (02:12:22):
I think there's a bit of that, and I can
understand the concerns, but it's yeah, if it's working.
Speaker 3 (02:12:33):
Did you ask them why they wouldn't prescribe it to you.
Speaker 11 (02:12:36):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:12:38):
Basically there's you know, like little type of thing and
they sort of.
Speaker 3 (02:12:43):
You know that, Okay, okay for ten years. You've been
on for ten years, head.
Speaker 2 (02:12:48):
You, yeah, and on and off, and I've never miss
used a lot. I used to get prescribed like have
one of my doctors six sex trem it all day,
which I never took because I would I wouldn't be
able to sleep. It keeps me awake. At the most.
(02:13:10):
I would take two and it allowed me to get
up and get going. And there just seems to be
this I don't know if it's through the governments that
are saying that they want to cut down on it's
being misused by other people and selling it or whatever.
But when you actually need it and it's actually beneficial
(02:13:31):
to your life, you know, like the alternatives that they've
given it is just crap.
Speaker 3 (02:13:40):
So what's your question, Steve, Well, I'm just wondering, is.
Speaker 2 (02:13:45):
There any of the listeners out there that have found
the same thing where they're having difficulty getting it when
it's been beneficial to their life.
Speaker 3 (02:13:53):
Okay, I see what people say too, Steve. Thank you'll
put it out there. We also are talking about advice
people Marc's in my opinion, complimenting someone just because they
have done something with their hair would be taken as
disingenuine as all just an observation of something. You my
advice if you want to compliment someone and make them
feel good, actually mean it. I think most people don't
want compliments for partically for people they don't know. It
(02:14:16):
always just seems a bit creepy. That would be my
take on it. You just don't do it. Don't comment
on what people wearing or their hair unless you know
them very well. People don't and they'll be polite because
I don't want to cause conflict, but they don't want
to do it.
Speaker 8 (02:14:30):
Now.
Speaker 3 (02:14:30):
That might sound new school, but I'm sure that's true.
Changing world. Marcus has some advice. Lay baking paper the
bottom of your ear fry. That way you know when
it needs cleaning. My brother bought us three or three
years ago. The bottom of the air frow is peting
a waity and he only cooked steak and chips. Lovely
that your callers are happy with their retirement home choice,
(02:14:51):
but it doesn't work for everyone. My friend regretted it bitterly,
with good reasons. Now feeling trapped by the system which
is geared unfairly towards the company. There we go, So
we're talking for advice. What we're about tonight? Advice advice?
(02:15:11):
Sure as we go. I love a compliment, Yes, sure
you do. Hurdle twelve, twenty nine to midnight Advice, Advice, Advice,
text it too, if you've got it, If you've got
it text at twenty seven to twelve. Hello Chris Marcus, Welcome.
Speaker 25 (02:15:28):
Oh, good evening, Marcus. I just contemplating on advice. I
picked up something today while I was out and I
haven't had a chance to read at all. But if
you want advice in general, there's nothing better than the
copy of a book I picked up today, Nigel Letter
(02:15:48):
Lessons on Living.
Speaker 17 (02:15:52):
Oh Man.
Speaker 25 (02:15:54):
So it's one of those books I'm going to get into.
But what I've come through just that man was full
of advice.
Speaker 5 (02:16:04):
For Britain.
Speaker 3 (02:16:04):
What are some of it?
Speaker 25 (02:16:07):
Well, I haven't started reading the book properly and just
looking setting out Like the first phrase in the book
is if you do not design the future, someone or
something else will design it for you. But there's lots
of lessons on life, of course, rather than practical advice like.
Speaker 14 (02:16:29):
That.
Speaker 25 (02:16:29):
I've been great listening tonight on advice for all sorts
of things, like practical things for health and all sorts
of things. I really enjoyed it.
Speaker 3 (02:16:39):
But where'd you find the book there, Chris, Oh.
Speaker 25 (02:16:44):
Just the university bookshop. Okay, he published, it was published.
I think ironically it was released around the time he
passed away.
Speaker 3 (02:16:54):
Oh, okay, this recent book.
Speaker 20 (02:16:55):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (02:16:55):
I thought it might be an old book you'd found.
Speaker 25 (02:16:57):
Okay, well, okay, writing before he passed away, and it's
one I wanted to get hold of. I didn't think
that'd have it done. But yeah, just full of well
just reading this beginning in the chaps if you want
to have advice on yeah, that kind of advice as
(02:17:21):
opposed to a practical advice that's been coming tonight. But
there's been a lot of really good advice tonight. Really
enjoyed it.
Speaker 9 (02:17:29):
Letter.
Speaker 25 (02:17:31):
He was pretty good advice.
Speaker 3 (02:17:34):
Great, Thanks so much, Chris. Thanks to nice to hear
from your texts and calls if you want to. Before
the end of the show, Tim Beverage along from twelve,
I'm please a person took my crumpet advice. I thought
that was very good quality advice.
Speaker 1 (02:17:46):
