Elon Musk may have a new job if Donald Trump wins the Presidency
He's already got X, SpaceX, and Tesla, and now he could be heading up a committee to audit the Federal government.
We know little about the idea other than this group would develop a plan to eliminate "fraud and improper payments" within six months of being formed. There are better uses for Elon Muck's talents at the Federal level than an accounting auditor!
Trump's “Make America Great Again” came from Ronald Reagan, who also happened to have a similar body during his term in the 80s called the Grace Commission.
Apple's support for USB-A could be ending soon
Apple has their Fall product launch next week, and while we are 99.99% confident we'll get a new iPhone, the reporting that's got my attention is about the Mac Mini. Reports suggest the new model may remove all the USB-A ports. They've already disappeared from the MacBooks, which suggests time is up on USB-A.
Tech used for good!
A lost three-year-old in a corn field the size of 200 football fields was found using a drone! The Wisconsin police called in the fire department for help. Using a thermal imaging camera, they located the boy and sent in a team to rescue him. What were his first words when they got to him? "I found a cat". Police said they saved hours of searching thanks to the drone.

Yeah, I'm just trying to count them up. He's got
X formerly Twitter, SpaceX Tesla and that's just kind of
the big ones.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Yeah.

So now he could also be heading up a committee,
a federal government committee to audit the federal government.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Oh okay, how would that work?
Speaker 3 (00:42):
If I could pick any job for Elon Musk to
help the federal government with a committee to audit what
apparently is going to be about fraud and improper payments,
would not be it. But that's all we know so far.
So Donald Trump has said that he's going to Elon
is happy to take on this role, and they The

only thing we really know is that within the first
six months they are going to develop a plan to
eliminate fraud and improper payments. But that's it. And I
do think that there are probably some really interesting things
that he could work on, Like you know, improving the
online services, for example, of the government. I would put
him straight into something like that. Wouldn't it be nice

if you could, you know, do your taxes online in
a really simple way instead of it being an absolutely
horrible process. But I can I point out one thing, Jack,
for those who may not know, you know, Donald Trump's
make America Great Again came from Ronald Reagan, who also
happened to have a thing and audit committee during the

eighties called the Grace Commission. Ah, so it is yet
another Donald Trump Ronald Reagan parallel.

I about to see, Well, you know, it might be
a parallel in name, but I think the differing qualities
between the two men. Anyway, Hey, Apple's support for USB
A could be ending soon. Apple's got its big law
jeven coming up right.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Yeah, and so the chance of us getting a new
iPhone is about ninety nine point nine percent. So let's
just wait until we see what that looks like. But yeah,
I'm interested in the Mac Mini because the reporting is
is that USB A support could be being dropped from
the Mac Mini, which doesn't seem kind of like a

hugely interesting thing on the surface. But the Mac Mini
really hasn't changed a lot since it was released. In fact,
it's still basically got the same form factor. And so
the fact that they're now started a form factory like
it's it's sorry, it's look, it's yeah, it's yeah. And
so the fact that they're now taking something away from
it makes me think that maybe USB A is just done.
(02:52):
And I think that's good because I don't know how
many times I've had to crawl under things, around things
to try to work out which way the plug is
supposed to go. You put it in the first time,
it doesn't fit. You turn around, you put it in,
it still doesn't fit. How when you turn it over
again it does fit. I don't get it. So I'm
good riddance to USB A USB C.

It's so much easier.

Yeah, okay, So for anyone who's confused between USB a's
and c's, A is just the like when we say USB,
that's what we think of, right, That's what we think, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
the classic. So I've got an Apple MacBook ear and
that doesn't have this that just goes yeah, that just
has the C has the new one. So I suppose

I suppose we're kind of hitting this way. Okay, Hey,
