Richard Arnold: US correspondent on a person arrested for alleged assassination attempt on Donald Trump in California

Another person's been arrested for an alleged assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

The former President has been speaking at Coachella, California, three weeks out from election day.

Las Vegas man Vem Miller was intercepted by police at a checkpoint about 800 metres from the rally.

US correspondent Richard Arnold told Mike Hosking he was carrying a shotgun, a loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine.

“This bloke was 49, we don’t have a lot of detail about him as yet, but this follows of course the two assassination bids on Trump.”

and rocketry. SpaceX, of course, Elon Musk's company managed to
recapture its huge Starship rocket booster during an unmanned test
flight this morning, something that has never been done before.
It was kind of hard to believe what was going on.
They launched the Starship from their They launched site on
the Texas Gulf coast, and three minutes and forty seconds

after liftoff, the massive booster fell away, then flipped around
and headed back to Earth. This is equipment about twenty
three stories high one hundred and twenty one meters, and
it was sent into this re entry. Meanwhile, the upper
stage looped around the planet been made a control splash
down in the water. It came through intense heat of
reentry nearly three thousand degrees in pretty good condition. They're

saying protected by some newly improved heat shield tiles because
they had some problems last go.

But that wasn't the main show.

The main focus was this super heavy rocket booster was
headed back towards the launch pad itself. The idea was
to try to catch this thing using giant mechanical pincer
arms that were attached to the launch tower itself.

They're calling these things chopsticks.

So this gargantuan booster headed towards the ground, sort of
wabbling a bit and seeming like it might be of
course at moments then some rocket jets were fired and
it settled right in between these huge mechanical arms.

And this was the moment.

Macadella, Well, you can hardly hear the controllers with all
the cheering that's going on here.

Well. It didn't come down once the booster was locked
in there.

So the implications of this clear.

It's to move towards reusability, as they call it, rapid
reusability and more because this is the most powerful rocket
ever produced, twice the liftoff thrust of the Apollo Erasatin fives,
and both stages are meant to be reusable. That is,
not only to cut the cost but also to open
up the possibility since the idea is that the starship
could touch down at landing sites on Earth and beyond,

So latest polls, We've seen all the polling for months
showing this race's neck and neck with battleground states all
within the margins of era. Latest from NBC shows that
Harris has lost her five point advantage in overall popularity
since the Harris Trump debate. Now as you indicate a
dead heat, so a US country divider.

She's a race I see Wednesday, Richard Donald state side.
