Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now stateside Richard Arnold morning, I think I said at Wednesday,
could have sit at Monday, could have sit at both days.
But I've thoroughly enjoyed this. They fizzed the place up,
haven't they.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
It has been a spirited campaign week for the Dems.
No doubt about that question now is can Kamala Harris
stick the landing? Coming up in a few hours is
the biggest speech of her political career now. It follows
some epic moments, including this last night from Tim Walls
speaking in the Chicago convention Hall to his family.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Pope, Gos and Gwen, you are my entire world, and
I love you.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
It wasn't so much what he said, but the reaction
when his seventeen year old son, Gas, who has a
learning disability, dissolved in tears and open emotion as he
said repeatedly, that's my dad. That's my dad until he
want to be vice President's speech. Few people really knew
much about him, but he gave one of the most
memorable convention addresses. And I've seen a lot of these things.

(00:56):
While he has done all kinds of work in his career,
you're including teaching. He also coached a local football team
and brought them to victory. Sixteen members of his man
Cato West High School's nineteen ninety nineteen joined their former
coach on stage, wearing their jerseys still fit them on,
mostly after winning the Minnesota state title twenty five years ago. Then,

(01:19):
a one time student runner that he mentored, Ben Ingram,
said this about Tim Walls, It's.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
The kind of guy you can count on to push
you out of a snowbank. I know this because Tim
Wallas has pushed me out of a snowbank.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Walls is a governor and now, of course vice presidential pick,
but last night they simply called him coach. His speech
wasn't just a pep talk, however. He also repeated his
charge that Trump is to quote the word that he's
sacred to using weird.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
So here this is the part clip and save it
and send it to your undecided relatives so they know.
If you're middle class family or a family trying to
get into the middle class, Kamala Harris is going to
cut your taxes. If you're getting squeezed by prescription drug prices,
Kamala Harris is going to take on big pharma.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Well, then came the sports like pip talk.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Let me finish with this team.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
It's the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
We're down a field goal, but we're on offense and
we've got the ball. We're driving down the field. Ed, boy,
do we have the right team?

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Well, Casuals already is supparing comedians into action like a
met friend who does all kinds of politicians' voices and
also who does a Philly good take on the coach.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
I got to tell you one last thing. When we
win this dang thing, Kamala Harris is going to take
a big thing of gatoraded port all over my face.
I'm the best dank coach you ever seen. Ted Lasso's
got nothing on me.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I love that, said the real coach Wolves. However, in
response toes Over that.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
We got seventy six days, that's nothing. There'll be time
to sleep when you're dad.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
So Kamala Harris, there's the market.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Yeah, No, he was good. I've got him at six
am tomorrow when I can't remembers that Arizona wherever it is.
Is he gone?

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Not yet, but the indications are at anytime they're still negotiating.
Some of the details we're talking about. Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
But the Harris campaign had refused a meeting with RFK.
Donald Trump did not, in fact, has been sort of
sounding him out in recent weeks. So the indications are
that RK could drop out of the race and endorse Trump,
and RK spokesman has posted that Kennedy quote will address

(03:43):
the nation tomorrow. A president addresses the nation. RFK Junior
hasn't even been endorsed by most of his own family.
His polling has slipped, especially since his admission about you know,
dropping that dead beer in New York Central Park because
he hadn't had time to skin it and eat it.
I mean, after his it's a problem this after his

(04:07):
revelation that he had a dead woman in his brain. Anyway,
his numbers weren't around fifteen percent in some key areas.
Now they're down to about five and a bit. And
if he withdraws, well, who knows. Trump has been seemingly
pushing some of Kennedy these anti VAXA positions, and he
said today it's a little different kind of a guy,

(04:27):
very smart guy, is a very good person. If he
endorsed me, I would be honored by it. Kennedy wants
some sort of government role and Don Junior says he's
cool with that. Let him run the health Department or
something of the kind.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
The idea, I love the idea of, you know, giving him,
you know, some sort of role in some sort of
you know, major uh, you know, three letter entity or
whatever it may be, and let him blow it up.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Sure, yeah, let him quid blow it up the Food
and Drug Administration. I mean, yikes.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah, a good week, he might. We'll see you Monday.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Appreciate him.
