Welcome to the program. Kate hawks me, good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
That's that little new Lily Allen album is a hit
with the Pickle girls.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Oh god, I thought you. I thought of you.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Tim, Good morning to you. I thought of you this week, Katie,
because the Herald finally caught up with pickle. They said
it was the funniest headline. One of the headliners.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
What is this pickle and why is it a multi
billion dollar sport? And I thought, I haven't they been listening.
That's all we've been talking about for the last month.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Did they not interview me?
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Missed opportunity the queen of pickleedball in this country exactly?
Can I just clear up a couple of things here,
one just for you, Katie, when I do my Mike's
minute later on. I just want to just get this
out in the public because I'm wearing a shirt this morning.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
This isn't about the white T shirt, is it?
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (00:56):
So for goodness, I know. But what happened was to
Tim this you'll appreciate this being a bloke, is that
I've got a lovely new white T shirt and I
hadn't worn it, and I was going to wear it
this morning, and Katie says to me when she saw it.
She came into the place where I get dressed, and
she came and she goes, you're wearing the white one
tomorrow au for the first time. And I said, yep,
looking forward to it. She goes, I hope there are
(01:17):
no nipples.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
No, I hope it's not see through because men's T shirts,
men's white T shirts. And I don't understand this, And
maybe someone in the fashion industry can can get back
to us. But why are so many men's white T
shirts see through? Like I imagine for you know, maybe
some demographic that's appealing, But by and large, do we see.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Really, No, we don't.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Is this even a thing?
Speaker 3 (01:45):
It is very much a thing to It is very
much a thing in the white T shirt world. So
my one's My one's a knitted cotton with just a
hint of silk through it. And so it's a it's
just it's a weightinger fabric.
Speaker 5 (02:02):
Can you take some cups out of Katie's brows and
put them ovie in it?
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Well, this morning, at two thirty, desperation struck because I
put I was confident there was no nipple, but I
put it on at two thirty. This morning, and even
in the dark of two thirty in the morning, I.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Went, oh my god, the headlights.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
This is nipple central and so I had to whip
it off.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Me's not enough to deal with without the headlights coming
towards them.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
At three am, so I had to I had to
whip on another one. And so that other one may
or may not match my jacket.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Because you're wearing a pink jacket today, So that can
maybe just skip today.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
When I do Mike's minute, don't bring it up on
social media, and don't go are you thinking?
Speaker 2 (02:55):
What have you teamed with your pink jacket? Then?
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Green?
Speaker 2 (02:59):
What colored green?
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Every time you're green? I've never seen it's one of
the camera I am. What I'm going to do.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
The alternative is I'm going to whip the green one
off and I'm going to go topless with.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
The jacket and peak.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
That's right right, next piece of news. Unfortunately, Katie, I've
had to acquiesce and we are going to christ Jurch
to do a thing that the company want us to do.
And foolishly, yesterday I said to Jason, Jason's been trying
to get me to go to christ used to do
this thing for him, and I said to him yesterday,
(03:41):
he said, what will it take? And I said, and
I in one of my random moments, steering at the
window looking at the inside billboard electronic billboard, I said,
if you stick me on the ZM billboard, I will
I picked a random station. Z was coming up at
the time, and I thought, right, I said, if you
(04:02):
stick my picture on the z AND billboard, I will
go to christ.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
And some one, I thought you were going to say
something cool, like an expensive bottle of wine.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
Well, I asked for one hundred thousand dollars. I said,
give me a hundred thousand dollars and he said, he said,
don't be stupid. And so then I said, put me
on the ZI AND billboard. And he's gone and put
me on the ZDM billboard. This morning, you're on the
zed and billboard, not because the kids.
Speaker 5 (04:30):
The kids would be saying, who's this nippy old guy on.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Anyway, So we're putting we're putting the very pink, we're.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Putting the social, we're putting the we're putting the photo
up on the on the on the on the socials
at the moment, so you can see me and z DM.
So that could be a future opportunity, But we are
going to christ a very important announcement to make to
both of you. Are you aware of what tomorrow is?
Speaker 2 (04:55):
The first of November?
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Correct, very very good answer. That was indeed the first.
Now we unfortunately are not going to We will not
be here obviously being a Saturday, because I've been limited.
Although I want to work seven days a week, I
have been limited to a Monday Friday exposure as part
of my contract. But on the first day of November
nineteen ninety five, do you know what happened?
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Tim? Your turn?
Speaker 5 (05:17):
Ah?
Speaker 4 (05:19):
Did you guys get married.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
In nineteen ninety five? No, we did not help me out.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
On the first day of November nineteen ninety five, somebody
in the recruiting department decided that the glen Heart Yes
should be employed by Ziedmy, oh, my goodness.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
This is even bigger than your marriage. This is incredible.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
That's awesome.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
How many years is that, Katie, first of November nineteen ninety.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Five too, It's a lot of years.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Let's do some Let's do some's new curriculum, Erica's Erica's
years thirty years. Well done, Tim, So thirty years. It
en zed me tomorrow. He joined this program on the
sixth of August two thousand and one, So long time.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Are there's some Glenn celebrations.
Speaker 5 (06:04):
Jason taking you out for hot dogs?
Speaker 1 (06:07):
What Jason's never taking anyone?
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Great result, the green shoots. The company's book actually glean
part obviously due to Glenn.
Speaker 6 (06:18):
So yes, yeah, I think there was a few pages
about that with our upgraded results announcement earlier.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
On that we allerded the market. We said, we said
we're in material was at at the end of the income.
Plus glen'sman here a really long time, and that's that's
all that was required to shift the I think we
went up six percent on Monday or Tuesday, and so.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
We've gone that's more than half Glenn's life.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
That's the interesting thing because Glenn, although he sounds old,
isn't and he's fifty. What are you fifty one?
Speaker 4 (06:45):
Two? Yeah? One, don't make me two yet. I've got,
I've got, I've got just had a month to go
before fifty two.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
So fifty one years Glen. Glen's been fifty for the
last three years. It looks like it. Butt's let's take
him as well. Well, it does.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
He looks he looks young.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
He looks young. Don't say that he's looking good.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
So he started at twenty one, which is not Which
is an odd thing, isn't it? When in this modern age,
the number of people, I mean, the tune in this
company is extraordinary. The fact that you can hang around
the place for a sustained period of time is is exceptional.
So it is more than half his life. And some
mornings it feels that way.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
I mean, just what do you mean some mornings.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
He sits there and you more than half my life
at this place. It's got it.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
He needs the gold watch or something, well.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
No gold watches. Whenever a thing it ends with me.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
I think I can feely safely say that and certainly
give him the price of gold that they're certainly not
going to become.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
The should have been on the billboard, not you.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Yes, actually that's about change. It would be the billboard.
Speaker 5 (07:51):
Now.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
He started out to be fair, just to give everyone
a background. He started out writing copy, which is where
Glenn and I have a commonality, because we both started
out writing copy. We were both copywriters. And the other
similarity was they very quickly worked out neither of us
were any good at that and so they moved us
into other departments and he ended up.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
I reckon you guys would have been good because you're
both creative. You can hear that in the way you
talk like you've got you've got creative brains.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
But it's just like, why should this be on paper?
Let's get them get it on broadcast. Are you being
paid to say nice things? Because no, that's true.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Green should write first point hosts. I have worked to
us that could be.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
And that's the problem. Isn't it very long? Chapter one?
Speaker 4 (08:37):
I mean I've been adjacent to several others, I.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
Guess have you, but that's not the same. Oh you
put that at the best stuff I've been adjacent to,
by Glenn.
Speaker 5 (08:45):
It'll be like the real, you know, like the real
just Indervian biography.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
No, hope, do.
Speaker 6 (08:52):
You have to give up doing copywriting because they change
from having a typing pool writing writing out the ads.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
For you and you had to type them out yourself.
You know you can't.
Speaker 5 (09:00):
They changed, glean Glenn, they changed to having a typing poll.
So he was hand rising Coppy with a fountain pen
and they said, this is this thing called a typewriter.
He said, stuff it I just want to talk and
the rest is history.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Unfortunately, I had to change my career due to legal
circumstances that I really can't go into this prison point
in type the people involved.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
This sounds like the day Noel leg you.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
All I can say is the word super liquor man
and that that that that was like?
Speaker 4 (09:29):
Was that the beginning of your feud with the BSA?
Speaker 5 (09:31):
That was?
Speaker 1 (09:31):
It was?
Speaker 3 (09:32):
It was, It was ugly. I got PTSD just thinking
about it. Anyway, Glenn, happy thirtieth for tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
That's very exciting. Well you congratulations?
Speaker 4 (09:39):
Yeah, do I get the day off?
Speaker 1 (09:41):
You can have tomorrow off?
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Absolutely, and got a little got a little gift for
you and made that. I was going to say, may
there be thirty more? But you don't want thirty more?
Do you written to me?
Speaker 6 (09:50):
Honestly, I didn't even want thirty exactly precisely.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Anyway, you two, anything else you'd like to add, just quickly, Cody.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
No, I was just going to say that Prince Andrew thing,
that's really interesting and that what I think if the
rumors are true that William is behind all this, I
think it's a good sign for the future of the monarchy.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Well, No prisoners. Well they really say Kate Kates. I
mean that you are the Kate. You are the Kate,
She's the Kate. Kate's behind everything. Kates are behind everything
is the lesson in life. I think this morning on
that Tim.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
You have a lovely weekend as well, won't you?
Speaker 2 (10:23):
You too?
Speaker 1 (10:24):
You to, I'm looking forward to that.
Speaker 5 (10:25):
Dave Nol's Inner View by Crikey No no holds barred.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Count Wait, Jesus if you've oversolved that, but you I
love my sport.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
You know I love my sport.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Put that on a promo.
Speaker 6 (10:38):
